Summary: Claire gets into a rare mood and tries provoking Bender. What happens next?

It was a regular day at the Standish house. Her parents were away for the weekend leaving Bender and Claire alone with each other.

The two were currently sitting on the couch watching a movie.

Bender was really into it, staring at the screen and laughing at all the corny jokes. But Claire was feeling somewhat different that evening.

Claire was in a rare mood.

Usually her moods inquired a certain need to make someone laugh and crumble at the touch of her finger tips. But today, it was the complete opposite.

So she tried everything to provoke her boyfriend.

She played with his hair, tugged on his clothes, poked his face, but he still maintained eye contact with the tv.

However, there was one thing she hadn’t tried yet that may just do the trick.

When Bender leaned forward, exposing his sides, Claire reached forward and tased each side with two fingers.

He immediately squealed and fell back against the couch, hugging his torso surprised at the sudden attack.

Tases turned to squeezes and Bender couldn’t help the snort that escaped his lips.

He quickly covered his mouth with one hand but retaliated by squeezing his way across Claire’s stomach and sides with the other.

She squealed and retracted her hands to try and protect her sides.

“Oh? I’m sorry does this tickle Claire? Not so fun when it’s happening to you now is it?”

Claire could only laugh in response as one of her worst spots was attacked.

Bender furthered his revenge by lifting one of Claire’s arms with one hand and using the other to squeeze and scribble all around her ribs and now exposed underarm.

“Johohohohohon!”

“Yes Claire?”

“Stohohohop!”

“Stop? But you’ve been in a mood for quite some time now. I just wanted to see how long you’d last.”

He punctuated his sentence by taking in a deep breath and blowing a big raspberry on Claire’s neck.

Claire screamed and kicked her legs, her free arm playfully hitting Bender’s back.

Raspberry after raspberry and occasional stomach scribbles left Claire in stitches.

Bender finally seized when her laughter went silent.

She was left panting against Bender’s shoulder.

“Wow.” Bender said rubbing her shoulder and pulling her closer.

“What?”

“I made your cheeks turn as red as your hair.”

Claire blushed even harder at this but smiled nonetheless when Bender gave her forehead a little kiss.

“Thank you. I really needed that.”

“Of course, Cherry Cheeks.”

“Do not call me that.”

“Too late.”

Bender smiled and pulled Claire even closer, the two kissing each other passionately

They spent the rest of their day enjoying the movie together, a few pokes here and there for fun.

2k celebration fic rec!!

So I’ve reached 2k and I’m beyond grateful, it actually made me cry. But it also made me realise that none of this is about me really. It sometimes feels like the fandom is slowly dying, like creators are being forgotten about and we have less and less to go feral about (as a wise person once said ;) ). (gif by @mistress-gif) Imagine 2 by @sophieshelby​: I think this was the first Tommy imagine I ever read of hers and it’s very much like all her other ones: very sweet, easy to read and as soon as you’ve finished one of them, you’ll want to read through her entire masterlist. The best thing about this was how romantic it is, but not sweetly, so the characters remain very much in character for me, which is a great skill for any fanfic writer! Check out her work, you will not be disappointed!! A Bloody Good Excuse To Touch by @comebackjessica​: This one is probably my new favourite Tommy x Alfie fic, and it made me laugh out loud through the entire thing. Tommy was shot by a canon, Alfie finds out he’s ticklish, John won’t stop calling Alfie Tommy’s boyfriend, and everything is just brilliant. And to top it all off, Alfie then says when threatened by Tommy: “Oh, I don’t doubt it, mate. Scary little gangster you are, hm.” I was dead 😂 Alfie x Ada (Peaky blinders imagine) by @vintunnavaa​: WHY did no one ever write about these two together before because it is perfection. At first it’s hilarious, then it’s suddenly serious and sweet and emotional and as a sweet cherry on top: the family reacts. Absolute stroke of genius this imagine was en everyone should read it.

The Chronicles of Polly Gray by @raccoon-is-my-spirit-animal​: picking just one of Anna’s fics is a crying shame, because all of them are comedic gold and deserve so much more attention. I may be biased as this major fan of her work, but you do not want to miss out on any of them. But this series on the goddess we know as Polly Gray is so original as it’s set before the series and done beautifully. She does this queen every justice and even though Anna happily rips my heart out, I can’t imagine life without this fic anymore 👏 Coming out 1 – Peaky Preference by @murswrites​: Can’t remember the first time I read this one, but I do remember it set me on a bender when it came to her work. It gave me so much comfort reading this and it made me feel accepted, even if it was just by a bunch of fictional characters, because the rest of the world often doesn’t. I needed this one, badly. Polly reaction especially had me in tears. Please, read this, whether you’re scared of coming out or not, because this is the writing everyone truly needs 😘❤️ Don’t You Get Any Ideas by @amysteryspot​: As you all probably know, Ari has my whole heart. And like it often is in this fandom, her Tommy fics are getting a lot of recognition (as they bloody should), but her other ones not as much as they deserve. This one is about John, the reader is gender neutral and this protective John is literally everything. Basically, this is the kind of fic I want to live in and I might just do that from now on… Mother of Mine by @shelbywhiterose​: Apparently I really like these background type of fics, and this one especially, about the Shelby’s mother. For the life of me I do not understand why this fic isn’t getting more notes and love, because it’s so poetically beautiful. Like the idea is very original, an entire background world has been thought out because of it, and even though it’s quite a long fic, I could not stop reading. This writer is unbelievably talented, creativity through the roof, and you do not want to miss out on any of it 💕

Immoral by @bonniesgoldengirl​: There are times when I just feel my happy bi self and there are times when I feel simply gay and there are times where my entire sexuality is just Ada Shelby. This fic did that 😂. I think it’s been mentioned before, but a lot in this fic centres on Linda being bigoted and awful, but I didn’t even notice really because kisses ME (the reader) and it’s all I know now. Honestly, favourite Ada fic right here and I need all of it in my life, because it left me too horny to function. Thanks for that 😐😘 Keep On Haunting Me by @caelys​: It’s no secret I go full fangirl when it comes to her work, but this particular fic is one of those I keep coming back to. Lizzie, my baby, is written wonderfully in it with some background even and I swear some of the lines in this one are pure poetry: “God quickly reminded her that she was there to fuck, not to feel; even is she despised that fact. Or maybe God just liked to fuck with her. Because as quickly the Shelby’s became her curse, they became her blessing.” But most of all, this story really is haunting, it’s painful and it’s like a ghost itself. The talent in this one short fic will never cease to blow me away, no matter how many times I’ve read it already. 🖤🖤

Burnt Toast by @irishwhiskeys​: Another reader as Shelby sister one, but I love it. Kinda broke my heart, made me cry, but strangely enough we like doing stuff like that to ourselves. 🙈 But honeslty, this author has so many gems in the masterlist and it would be your loss to miss any of them. Please send them all the love! In the Bleak Midwinter by @peakyswritings​: Well this broke my heart into a thousand pieces. The war has impacted John as well, even if SK decides not to show it, but this fic does. Weaved in with the song, it’s a poetical masterpiece, honestly. All the emotions are captured brilliantly and even though it left me actually sobbing, it’s one of my favourites on here. An Ode To Arthur Shelby by @the-makingsofgreatness​: I have no idea why there are so few Arthur Shelby fics out there and I have even less of an idea as to why this one isn’t getting all the attention. One word for this fic is just BEAUTIFUL. It’s sad and heartbreaking, but everything just fits Arthur. The way you describe him, his life, his skin even, it’s just mesmerizing to read. I wish to God you would write more like this one, or continue this one, because it’s pure art. Mr. Rattlebone by @murderousginger​: Tommy and Lizzie, the original dream team that I can’t get enough of. Lizzie deserves everything in the world and more, as does this fic. This story is funny at times, very angsty and there’s some nice little smut in there. I loved every second of it 👏👏 Green is Your Colour by @babylooneytoonz​: Another one that gets all the points for originality, because the reader is Isaiah Jesus’ older sister! FINALLY we get another POC reader and the story itself does not disappoint for a second. Tommy is adorable in this one and I just need fluff like that in my life. But everything this author brings out if just amazing. But this one, in particular, made me feel beautiful and that’s such a great gift to give to any reader. Thank you, love ❤️

Bender + Underarms

It's not his most ticklish spot, but it's still pretty sensitive. Probably around a 6. Soft tickles there work better on him, as he's pretty good at blocking out rougher tickling. Not many people know, because it's hard to get to the spot, but once the gang found out they all teamed up to pin him down and go to town on him. Sometimes he'll let Claire tickle him there, but he can only keep his arms up for so long. Normally his laugh is loud and cackly, but this is one of the few places to make him actually giggle, and he's super embarrassed about it.

Brian + Stomach

A fucking 10, he'll die. All it takes is a couple wiggling fingers and he's doubled over and wheezing. He's already the most ticklish of the gang, but this spot is so hypersensitive. He doesn't mind being tickled on his stomach, but he can only handle it for too long before he's begging them to stop. He doesn't squirm all that much, instead he'll curl up into a ball in a useless attempt to protect himself, twitching everywhere once in a while if you get a new spot.

*He’s actually quite tickish with someone that has such a reputation for being tough.

*His laugh starts out as a low giggle about the tone of his voice, but it gradually gets higher and more laughy as time goes on. Or if you hit his most ticklish spot. 

*His most ticklish spots would be his sides. The others like to poke him randomly whenever they get the chance because he squeaks ever time they do it. They thinks it’s absolutely adobrle and tease him about it all the time.

*Something he will take to his grave is that he actually doesn’t mind being tickled.

*Especially when it’s from Claire, who can be a merciless ler at times.

Ler

*Okay first thing I wanna state is that he loves to tickle Brian. He’ll grab him in a side hug and pin him down, then face towards his legs and squeeze his thighs and knees. (more on lee Brian later)

*He gets ler moods on a daily basis.

*He tickles all of them randomly and doesn’t stop till their red in the face and giggle drunk.

*Tummy raspberries kill her.

*Sometimes she’ll get ganged up on by the others, and one person will pin her arms above her head while the others tickle her armpits and give her stomach tickles and raspberries.

*Such a mega ler, my lord.

*She’s usually the one to instigate the fight.

*She and Allison have tickle fights all the time after they got closer. They also have sleepovers all the time and it’s canon and no one can change my mind on that.

*Her nails are her main tickle tool.

*She uses them on everyone whenever she gets the opportunity.

*He also loves it because it can be a good workout.

*He’s usually one to get ganged up on at the very end because his laughter is so contagious.

*Allison takes advantage of his ticklishness a lot after they got together.

*He likes to tease Bender by stretching around him and laying down with his arms behind his head.

It was a long day for Brian. He had a test in almost every class and even though he studied hard he was nervous.

He just wanted to feel relaxed. Oh no-

Brian started to conjure a lee mood that lasted since the end of the school day through the rest of the week.

It was only Wednesday through Friday but to Brian it felt like years.

It was Saturday so that meant the gang would all meet up at someone’s house to all hang out.

This time it was Claire’s house. Her parents were out for the weekeend and left her in charge of the place.

They were all currently in the basement which holded two large couches, a t.v, and a big rug that was soft and had some cushion to it that everything sat on.

Claire was on the couch with Bender while Brian and Andrew were on the floor. Allison was on another couch and stretched out taking up all the space.

The conversations were mostly small talk of school and random thoughts. Brian just couldn’t focus.

He’d zone out or stop listening, all he could think about was how bad his lee mood has been hitting him these past few days.

He knew he could ask any of them for help but how does one go about asking to be tickled?

He was brought out of his daze when a finger found his side and poked him.

“Hey, man. You good? You’ve been really quiet.” Andrew asked him with a smirk.

“Y-Yeah- no... I’m fine. Just zoned out for a bit.”

“Oh really?” Bender asked in a time only Bender in a ler mood would use.

“You reall only zone out when you’re distracted by something. Is there something you want to tell us?” Bender leaned down and placed his hands on Brian’s shoulders.

Brian held back a squeal and tried not to tense up.

“Isn’t it obvious?” Allison broke the silence.

“He’s in a mood. I noticed as soon as we all sat down.”

“Really? Is that true, Brian?” Andrew asked poking his side again causing Brian to giggle and cover his sides.

“Noho- okay maybe but it’s fine.” Brian tried to get up but only sat back down in laughter as his ribs were assaulted with Bender’s wiggling fingers.

“Behehehender!”

Brian tried turning this way and that but Andrew grabbed his ankles and pulled him forward so he was on the ground. Bender got off the couch and sat on his arms while Andrew sat on his thighs.

Allison and Claire stood up and walked over to a side of him, enjoying how pink and blushy he had gotten in the past few seconds.

“Guhuhuys wahahait- NohoHAHAHAHA!”

It was torture! But oh how he enjoyed it.

The squeezing to his knees by Allison, the tickling in his armpits by Bender, the little scribbles and pokes to his sides and ribs by Claire, and the claw shaped vibrations on his stomach.

It was almost too much to handle. But Brian didn’t want it to stop. He had been craving this for so long.

It wasn’t until Andrew went after his thighs and Claire went to his neck that he started to really lose it. Even worse Allison went down and sat on Brian’s ankles to get his feet.

Tears of mirth peaked through his shut eyes and it’s when he finally said stop that they backed away.

Brian sat up and continued to giggle with breath and slight movement from one of the others.

“Did we break him?” Bender asked ruffling Brian’s hair.

Brian giggled and swatted at his hand. He seemed to be in a giggle drunk daze.

“Ihit still kindaha tingles.” Brian squealed when he felt himself being picked up by Andrew and Bender.

They sat him in the couch between them with Allison and Claire following.

Next thing they knew they had all formed a sort of cuddle pile. Arms and legs going this way and that but they were all comfortable.

“Hey guys.” Brian spoke.

“Thanks. I needed that.”

“No problem, nerd.” Brian ruffled his hair again.

It started off as any normal day for John Bender. He was sitting alone in his apartment wondering on what to do to pass the time.

Claire had gone out to have a girls day with Allison and Brian was busy with a project for school.

So he called up Andrew and asked if he could stop by and hang out.

Andrew answered saying he wasn’t busy and he’d love to come over.

They all hung out at John and Claire’s apartment because it was a little space of their own and a way to get away from their parents. It wasn’t huge but it was big enough for everyone to get together.

About fifteen minutes later, Andrew showed up and they went to sit on the couch.

“So how you’ve been? The place looks really nice.” Andrew says trying to break the ice.

“I’ve been doing good. And thanks, Claire did all the rearranging.”

“Nice.”

John smiled.

“Sooo- how’ve you and Allison been doing?” John smirked and poked Andrew in his side every other word.

“We’re dohoing fihine thahanks.” Andre answered trying to grab at John’s hands while doing so.

“What’s wrong Andrew? You seem a little squirmy.” John made it even worse by wiggling one finger deeper into Andrew’s side.

Andrew shrieks and curls into that side.

John eventually pulls his hand away and just looks at the happy little athlete beside him.

John loved making “Andrew The Athelte Clarke” crumble into ticklish laughter.

“Hey, Andrew.”

“Yeah?”

And as soon as Andrew sat up, John grabbed Andrew’s ankles and pulled so Andrew was now laying on his back.

He then quickly sat himself on Andrew’s thighs and took both of Andrew’s wrists in one hand pinning them above his head.

“Well would you look at? Mr. Athlete losing in a wrestling match?”

Andrew rolled his eyes, he couldn’t believe he got pinned so quickly.

“That wasn’t a wrestling match you just pinned me down without warning.”

“True. But I still pinned you down so easily.” John punctuated each word with a poke to Andrew’s side.

Andrew started giggling.

Andrew actually loved being tickled and everyone in the group knew it. But he was also known as the “tough athlete” of the five.

“Why are giggling? Is something funny?” John kept poking, switching to his stomach ever now and then.

“Nohoho.”

Of course John was teasing. John Bender was always the one to “poke fun” at everyone else in the group and was probably the biggest ler next to Claire.

John smirked and lowered his hand down towards Andrews stomach, leaving barley and inch of space between him and his thin shirt. He then started to wiggle his fingers as if he was tickling the air.

“Stohohohop!”

“Dude, I’m not even touching you.”

Andrew didn’t say anything but kept trying to squirm out of his hold.

“Are you seriously this ticklish?”

“Yehehes!”

Andrew wasn’t the one to hide his ticklishness. He liked being the tough athlete but he couldn’t really deny that he was tickish in this situation.

John smiled and stared to squeeze Andrew’s hip, knowing it was one of Andrew’s weakest spots.

Andrew’s laughter kicked up a notch and his face got more red from blushing even harder. He tried to kick his legs but could only manage to move his ankles around. He tried bringing his arms down but John had a good grip and wasn’t showing any sign of letting go.

“BEHEHENDEHER!”

“What? Sorry I can’t hear you? All I can hear is the sweet laughter from the big tough athlete.”

John switched to his ribs and watched as Andrew squealed before arching his back.

“Did you know that men have one more rib than women?” John asked pausing his ticking and resting his fingers on Andrew’s first rib. 

“They dohon’t.”

“And how do you know?”

“Brian told me we all hahave twenty-four.”

“Well I guess we should count to find out who’s right.”

So John let go of Andrew’s arm and in a quick moment he moved his hands to the top of Andrew’s ribs.

Andrew slammed his arms to his sides which just ended up trapping John’s hands there. Andrew couldn’t help the small giggles that escaped his mouth.

“You ready Mr. Tough guy?”

“Fuhuhuck yohohou.”

“Don’t really think you should be saying such things in such a situation.”

On the last word, he started massaging the area on his upper ribs. Counting out loud all the ribs he could find. Of course messing up a few times along the way.

After Andrew’s laugh started to go silent, John stopped which allowed Andrew to let his hands go.

Andrew was taking in deep breaths and John just stared at him smiling.

“What are you so smiley about?”

“The fact that you just laughed your ass of.”

“Yeah, well how it’s your turn.”

At that moment, Andrew brought his hands up and dug them into John’s sides.

John squealed and slammed his arms to his sides. He fell back which led Andrew to now straddle John’s hips.

“Looks like I’m not the only one who’s a little ticklish huh, Bender?”

“NOHOHAHAHAT THEHEHEHERE!”

“Not where? Here-” Andrew squeezed the spot right where his sides met his hips. It drove John insane.

“YEHEHEHEHES!”

“So yes here? Okay.”

“NOHOHOHO YOHOHOU AHAHAHAHASS AHA!”

Andrew paused and put his hands on his hips.

“Now that wasn’t a really nice thing to say now was it, John?”

“Fuhuck you.”

“Say that one more time.”

“Fuhuck yoho-AHH! AHAHAHAHA NOHOHA!”

Andrew interrupted by plunged his fingers into John’s underarms. Another very ticklish spot.

John straight up snorted and wiggled widely. He kicked his legs and even tried covering his mouth, but he’d end up bringing his arms down again because Andre would tickle his underarms faster.

John begged when Andrew started making tiny circles with his first two fingers.

“PLEHEHEHASE!”

“Did you just say please?”

“YEHEHEHES! STOHOHOHOP PLEHEHEHASE!”

“Okay fine. Since you asked so nicely.”

Andrew removed jus hands out from under his arms, got off of him, and moved back to sitting on the couch.

John sat up, still giggling with each breath for a minute.

“Your face is pink.” Andrew said poking John’s side.”

John squealed. “I-I guess it is. But so was yours.”

“Not as red as yours is though.” Andrew retaliated crossing his arms.

“Is that a challenge?”

“If you’re willing to lose.”

“You’re on.”

They spent the rest of the day wrestling and tickling each other to see who was the most ticklish, who’s face blushed more, etc.

And when Claire and Allison got home, they found two giggle drunk guys laying on the couch. Both out of breath and faces covered in five shades of pink.

idk if you’re taking headcanons, but can i have tickle headcanons for john bender?

John Bender: 

Lee:

. Will insist he’s not ticklish to everyone who asks. He has perfected the art of the Poker Face and is good at bracing himself if he knows it’s coming, so most people believe him. 

. All lies, of course. 

. Claire is the first to discover he’s ticklish, after straying a bit too far down on his neck when making out revealed that his collarbone is unnaturally sensitive. She of course takes on the task of investigating further much to Bender’s luck misfortune.

. Doesn’t mind being tickled, so long as it’s with people he trusts. Is a huge fan of super soft tickles, and will squirm and giggle softly as Claire runs her nails over his sides or neck. 

. The others all find out about his sensitivity through Claire, who of course spills the beans the moment she finds out, because John Bender, ticklish??? It’s her national duty to spread the word. 

. Andrew and Claire are his most often lers, and team up more than once to wreck him. He’ll let Brian tickle him on occasion, as he knows the other likes seeing him smile. 

. Has this deep-throated chuckle at first, all rumbly and choked back. But once you get him going, he has these wild, crazed giggles and snorts that makes everyone around him die from how adorable it is. 

. His worst spots are his ribs, neck (collarbone especially) and the backs of his thighs. 

Ler: 

. The biggest tickle monster, oh my god.

. The strongest of the group, rivaled only by Andrew maybe, and therefore able to pin any of them down and just go to town. 

. Loves to grab Claire from behind whenever she’s being too self-righteous and taser her, as she lets out these adorable squeals and pretends to get mad at him. 

. He and Andrew have gotten in notorious tickle fights, as everything is a competition with them. It’s a pretty even match, but Andrew usually ends up giving in first because Bender is unrelentingly stubborn. Plus, if he manages to pin him and get ahold of his hips, Andrew’s dead. 

. With Brian he’s much more gentle. He won’t pin the other usually, as he knows Brian already tends to feel helpless enough in his normal life. That doesn’t mean the other is off the hook, of course. His favorite method is grabbing the other in a tickle hug and relentlessly wiggling fingers into his stomach in a way he knows makes the other crazy. Brian insists it’s annoying but these are all lies shhh

. Allison and him are strangely teasy with each other. The others all have a reasonable fear of Bender as the renowned Tickle Monster, but she knows he’s just as sensitive, if not more so, than any of the rest of them, and will fight back. Teases absolutely destroy him, information she wields wisely. As a way to get around this, sometimes he’ll just pick her up off the ground and hold her over his shoulder so he can get the backs of her knees, a method she calls, “extremely unfair and a coward’s position.”
