I think about it at least once a week and am astonished at how underrated it is in the fandom. So go go go and let’s scream about it together! You know what? I truly, totally lucked out with my @deancasreversebang collabs this year! Two fantastic partners and two very delightful stories <3

From an artistic POV, one was more of a "faces & expressions" practice for me, while this one was definitely an anatomy challenge. Or an excuse to draw some angel cake? ... xD Anyway, here's my initial "Hockey Players gone Figure Skating" prompt:

I was SO excited when the amazing tiamatv claimed my art!! We already worked together once before and her way of storytelling made me so very happy, giddy and emotional <3

Tia put a ton of research and heart into writing my prompt, and I ended up learning much more about hockey and figure skating than I anticipated when I said, "I have no clue about hockey OR figure skating so don't worry about it, I'd just love an emotional journey!" - Tia managed to do it all, and with an insane word count for the short time she had on top. So the least I could do was provide one more "anatomy practice" :D

I'm actually a bit salty that this month has been so busy that I couldn't draw one more art piece - the story certainly would've deserved it. Well, maybe it'll call me back later :)

This is just so fluffy and romantic all thanks to our favorite redhead introducing weighted blankets which helps so much. It’s been shown to even help babies but blankets aren’t great for them.

Anyway, they’re so cute and that scene where Dean opens his eyes all slow and gentle with “hey”, just broke me. My husband and I do that periodically and it just means more snuggles and sleep. lol.

Poor Castiel thinking he couldn’t have Dean which I understand since Dean has said so much he is straight or implied it rather often. Ugh.

Saying “Yes” when the cute bakery owner asks him out on a date—for no apparent reason other than that Castiel is there—isn’t reliable or responsible. It’s impulsive.

Letting the cute bakery owner seduce Castiel in the back seat of his ’67Chevy Impala is definitely impulsive.

Preview: The next morning, Castiel’s still so dazed that he almost misses Amy’s cheerful greeting of “Hi, Mr. Novak!” from the firm’s lobby reception desk. In fact, he almost forgets to greet her, and only the awareness that he should, that there’s something that he’s missed in his routine, jars his attention from the memory of Dean’s warmth, the way he guided Castiel back to his car with a hand on the small of Castiel’s back.

One of Amy’s three tails swishes proudly behind her, her smile back at him wide and showing only a hint of canine, even with as broad as her grin is. Amy’s very good at keeping the sharpness of her teeth softened behind her lips. "He's good! Hardly ever gets stuck in his little fox form anymore. Not like that day in court when you were representing us, huh?" she laughs.

The resilience of parents never fails to amaze him. Because frankly, on that day, Castiel was so stressed that he almost wished he had the ability to escape into another form while under stress.

Well, no, that’s not true at all. If Castiel had been born hengeyoukai, like Amy and Jacob Pond, he wouldn’t be himself, and if he’d been infected by lycovirus, he couldn’t be a lawyer.

(When he does occasionally misplace his tongue, he certainly has no excuse as cute as ‘I can’t talk because I just involuntarily turned into a small, nonverbal fox.’ He can just imagine what Judge Monroe would have to say about that.)

TIA, WE DID IT! or should I say, we're FINished? 😏😂 (Many more fishy puns and ocean lingo can be found in the fic itself - and let me just say, I never thought it was possible to execute this SO flawlessly. Tia's knowledge of everything undersea literally blew me away and makes for such a witty and hilarious reading experience, all while keeping our boys perfectly in character. I salute you, my friend! 🥰)

This was a reverse Bang and a few of my longest fandom friends signed up. So of course I tried to make a game out of it and challenged myself not to paint in my usual style. I've made two pieces for this bang with that challenge and it was a lot of fun to try out something new. I usually don't have outlines in my art so this wasn't easy cuz I'm so not a lineart person but this was sooooo much fun to do and I'm happy with how it turned out.

Bobby claims that cecaelias don't mate. That they don't bond. That they don't form families. But that old sand dollar can mind his own business: Cas and Dean are just having a good time and clouding up the water together, after all.

Most of the others have brown feathers scattered with a little cream or black, some mottled patterns showing through from the skin underneath. In the misty, dewy early morning, this one looks like she might have a hint of green in her plumage. She opens her mouth soundlessly in his direction, long tail flicking from side to side and making snake-trail patterns in the sand of the enclosure. Even from up here, Dean can see the tiny curved daggers of her teeth. Her tongue is purple, which… okay, that is some weird shit. "Uh huh," he says, grinning. "I get it, you're a scary murder chicken. I'm real lucky I'm all the way up here. Mmhmm." "Dean," a voice says from behind him, breaking the stillness of the morning. "Are you conversing with a velociraptor?" (A Jurassic Park AU)

Yup, that’s right, I’m back with another Jurassic Park AU. If it’s got dinosaurs and Dean and Cas? I’m in. Maybe you think it can’t be possible to get a lot of different ideas going here, but once again, this fandom defies the odds. 

This story stands out because it is set before the events that happen in the movie ever occur, with Cas as one of the main scientists figuring out how to bring back dinosaurs, and Dean the guy brought in to keep things running as smooth as possible as the park gets on its feet. 

He isn’t expecting to see the blue-eyed, dark-haired guy who he thought was named Steve… when they hooked up for a perfect one-night stand many years ago. This story is really cute, and interestingly enough, no one gets eaten by any dinosaurs, even though there are plenty of them in the story. Dean and Cas are both really well written, and all the side characters are perfectly in character too. Don’t miss this one!

They think Dean's gonna back out because the angels want him to be handfasted not to a proper princess, oh no, but to a prince?

One of my favorite fics of all time is Evangelist by @valleydean. It's really enemies to friends to lovers but the enemies part becomes friends pretty quickly because they are deeply obsessed with each other. One of the classics if you haven't read it is To Build a Home. Childhood friends who broke up and find themselves back in each other’s life. It is very angsty but they have a lifelong friendship so you get a lot of childhood and teenage friendship moments. If I may self recommend, I just wrote Can't Fight the Moonlight in which they are in this post canon partnership and both want to add sexual intimacy but the partnership is soft so you get some really fun platonic intimacy. It's not AU, obviously, but may have something of what you want. Seraph by @dothraki-shieldmaiden is a superhero au where they are friends and roommates to lovers. It has great world building. More than Kisses by @friendofcarlotta is a friends to lovers epistolary romance. Dean and Cas are pen pals and they share an absolutely gorgeous emotional intimacy. Tiamatv has a few that fit the bill. I'm gonna mention Marchen because I love the world built in that one. Dean Winchester is a prince locked in a tower. Everyone tells Dean that he's a hero of the Protectorate. He's enough of one that when his sleeve--his body--died in the final battle of the Envoy Wars, General Michael himself found Dean's stack and brought him home. He got his soldier ass slotted into a brand spankin' new sleeve, cloned fresh just for him. (And the faces Sam makes when Dean says he's been 'rehymenated?' Fuckin' amazing.)

Life is--should be--good.

Except Dean can't remember most of the war that got him his commendation for valor. He sees butterflies that aren't there. He dreams of a woman with serious blue eyes and stern, beautiful mouth, standing in a field surrounded by lifeless sleeves, all with Dean's face.

It's fine, though. It's fine.

Except one Envoy survived the wars, and they're running around in the body of a NeoChristian named James Novak. Well, Dean and his squad know just how to handle Envoys and sleeve thieves. He's got this.
