THURSDAY THREAD

The love for denim jackets between me and Mila Guy, is a bit too real. But its ability to make you feel super bad-ass sorta explains a lot of this. 

I've mentioned this probably more than I should've on this blog- but if you've been following my blog and read more than the latest post you will say this next sentence in the way you would answer your mother with "yes mother" after she has repeatedly told you something you already know. I warned you- I describe people and their vibe in the way they dress. This is such a fun block – so many possibilities. I originally made the 12.5” unfinished block for a Facebook Group called Quilt Block Lottery  And then wondered about different sizes. A little bit of thinking about proportion, a little bit of math and voila!

The construction process remains the same – but now I can play with different sizes as well as different colors.

In order to prevent the birds from eating the crop before it evens ripens, the grapes have to be covered. Netting the grapes means covering them with long plastic nets in the vineyards. Covering the grapes is a manual, time-consuming, labor-intensive task as the netting needs to be laid in place gently so as not to damage the developing grapes. It has to be secured near the grapevine trunk so that the birds cannot fly up under the net to feast on the grapes. THUSRDAY THREAD: patterns

Whoever said that you can't wear two different patterns at the same time, definitely never saw @milaguy's ThursdayThread for this week. 

The minute Mila sent me the photo for this week's Thursday Thread my reply was: "So cute" since it was the first thing that came to mind. And I'm in a process where I'm trusting, not only my feelings, but my thoughts as well. 

I think when we stop second guessing our emotions or thoughts, even though the whole of society is giving us the "SAY WHAT"-look, the more power we have and the more we tend to lean towards our original, God-dreamt-about-selves.

Then of course, throwing some good old skool vibes with all white Vans, into the mix, definitely never hurt fashion-anything. It might actually just help any fashion-flaw, because, for once people would be looking at your feet instead of anything else.

Kick it back old skool.  

Sometimes it's good to break boundaries, take risks, to kiss the guy first, and wear two different patterns on top of each other.
