you know, i got to thinking about janus. he has definitely broken the accords and is just out there wrecking havoc. if other shadowhunters start noticing and they get suspicious of jace, i think it would be super interesting to use this plot point to maybe create some uncertainty under alec as consul. people could blame him and diego for being extra lenient and biased and letting jace do whatever he wants. this could be a short point of conflict until, of course, jace gets tried by the mortal sword.
i know that something causes the tmi gang to separate from the twp plot and become the plot of the black volume of the dead and i can bet money that it’ll have something to do with janus. what do you think?
Ohhh you know I 100% understand this!! And I think it’s super a smart idea which I could see happening.
Janus is such an interesting concept and character and so he’s definitely something that I want to be played out a lot in the wicked powers!! I, again, really like this idea.
And to add onto some uncertainty with Alec as consul, imagine if it was downworlders who Janus was harassing?? Despite the fact Alec has made very clear efforts of downworlders and trying to build a better bond between them shadowhunters. Imagine how Alec would feel knowing that Jace is doing that and people know he’s not going to get in trouble because he’s the consul’s Parabatai! Very juicy.
I also think this would be such a sadddd thing for Jace. It reminds me of back to city of ashes where no one was believing what he was saying because was Valentines son. Imagine if everyone accuses him and he’s going “I didn’t do that!!!” And no believes him. JACE ANGST RETURNING HOME
Absolutely love this idea anon 💜

I just can‘t stop thinking about the fact that Shadowhunters in Thule are using guns instead of daggers or swords and that when the TWP gang ends up in Thule and they are getting new gear and weapons - everyone is absolutely amazed by Kit‘s shooting talent:
Thule!Livvy: He‘s really good *looking at Ty* and hot
Ty *grinning proudly*: Yeah, I know

Was Pym's story about Ultima Thule a reference to Longfellow and/ or theosophy (the hollow earth and the giant were in the book iirc) or was Pym into some weird esoteric nazi stuff? Because they've co-opted a lot that.
"Ultima Thule" is the name of the most celebrated image of Edgar Allan Poe that exists today:
Sarah Helen Whitman coined the name “Ultima Thule” for this famous daguerreotype, from Poe’s poem “Dream-Land”:
“I have reached these lands but newly From an ultimate dim Thule — From a wild weird clime that lieth, sublime Out of SPACE — out of TIME.”
"Ultima Thule" is Latin and means “extreme limits of travel and discovery.” The hollow earth and all of that were taken directly from Poe's The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket, and were popular theories back in the 1800s, which I'm sure is why Poe included them. But no, no weird esoteric nazi stuff, but I'm amazed and disturbed that people still take those insane, debunked, old theories so seriously today.

I've decided to take a particular spin with this year's entries and emphasize the fact that i titled this blog "the personal journal and scrapbook of Elilgeim 'Ellie' Wiltarwyn". hopefully that will make the creative juices flow easier, especially since i'm post-surgery and in painkiller hibernation so that's a pretty severe debuff lol. sooo:
FFXIV Write 2024 | #1: Steer
Word Count: 436
Fourth Umbral Moon, 23rd Sun
Cid stopped by the house today - surprising, and welcome with how long it’s been. Even more surprising was the vehicle he arrived upon: a prototype magitek bike that runs off a “twin-bank ceruleum” engine, whatever that means. Somehow he had convinced Jessie to have me be the one to test-drive it, put it through its paces. They seem to think I’d be the one most likely to wring the most potential out of it, and he also alluded to Jessie determining I’d be the most marketable person and therefore the best candidate to show it off.
I must admit, even after all this time, I still don’t understand Jessie’s business acumen and I’m not certain I wish to. That being said, when I took it for a spin later that evening, with Mia as passenger holding on tight from behind… it was an amazing sensation, like those manacutters but without the pesky third dimension. The thing (Cid says its model is called the Garlond GL-II, but I’m thinking she needs a sexier name than that) can outspeed chocobos, and feeling the wind in my hair as we sliced a path through the Lominsan plains posed a thrill I haven’t felt since well before Ultima Thule.
Every day, I’m grateful for these peaceful times we fought so bloody hard for - for the chance to engage in fun times like this, testing inventions by good friends. Some days, I still wonder how I ended up in this position of trust for so many, with someone as famous and genius as Cid Garlond entrusting me with his prototype vehicles of dubious safety. I mentioned this to Mia when we stopped for a break near Red Rooster Stead, and she just smiled and pointed out that I’ve done a lot of work to ingratiate myself with so many influential figures. “Which is funny, considering how rude and standoffish you were when we first joined the Scions,” she teased as well. “You certainly put in the effort to become a much more agreeable person overall.”
Couldn’t let her get away with that - “You know that that’s your fault,” I shot back at her with a grin, “you steered me along those paths to become that person - away from the whole ‘reckless brute’ thing you kept calling me back then.”
She looked stunned by the idea, but smiled back eventually in that coy-yet-comfortable manner that arrests my gaze every time. If she insists I’m such a good person, then she should get to feel good about helping me reach that point too. For being that person in the first place.
#ffxivwrite#ffxivwrite2024#my fanfiction#ffxiv fanfiction#ellie's journal entries#i woke up too late to put too much time into the gpose unfortunately so this is what i got lol#“steer” made me immediately think of steering the motorcycle but ended up not really being able to work that in there oh well

So thats...like two post patches that Thancred has shown up, done an amazing job and then left being all like: Well, I was useless! BYE!
My man YOU ARE THE ONLY REASON WE WERE ABLE TO WALK IN ULTIMA THULE TO BEGIN WITH! YOU bought the Exarch time to port us out from the grasp of Ran’jit! You have put your life on the line SO many times. You came in fucking CLUTCH when the Warriors of Darkness had us cornered and ambushed us more or less. YOU located Krile behind enemy lines so subtly not even Zenos knew you were like 50 feet away. If you or Hythlodaeus say you weren’t needed ONE more time I SWEAR TO G

i really REALLY hope that kit gets to talk to rosemary and that she tells him how much she loves him and how proud of him she is, because i think it really weighs on kit that she died for him but never actually knew him and i just think it would mean a lot for him to hear that she doesn't regret that sacrifice and that she loves him and the person he grew into
Imagine Kit going to Thule and seeing his mother alive... maybe Johnny too. And them being amazing parents to him. I wonder if Thule Kit would be any different 😭
But you're so right! Kit needs to get rid of this burden. He needs to know that he's loved 😭
I really really REALLY want Kit and Ty to go to Thule. Kit meeting Rosemary, Ty meeting Livvy 😩 crying session is awaiting us
Also my big dream is Thule Kit being the king of Faerie. We don't know what's happening in Thule Faerie so who knows 👀

15 and 25 from the FFXIV get to know you asks!
15. Best memory?
(Also asked by @spotofmummery and @arinaxiv, ty both so much!!)
There are so many amazing memories I have of this game, so many that fill me with emotion everytime I experience the story, and there’s a ton just from ShB and EW alone. However, if I had to choose one, I’d choose the finale of patch 3.3, the end of the Dragonsong War, and in particular, the fight against Nidhogg and all the scenes that surround it. When I saw Yume walk towards Nidhogg for the first time, I truly got chills, and I knew that FFXIV had me hooked.
25. Favorite minion?
If I don’t cheat and say one of my ship’s minions (like Wind-up Aymeric for example), my favorite minion, if I’d have to narrow it down to just one, would be the Wee Ea minion that you get from farming FATES in Ultima Thule. It’s absolutely adorable and I love seeing the little head separate and float away. The Ea were my favorite of the civilizations we encountered in UT so I love having this minion out and about.
Thank you @ascendedhypothesis for the asks!!! 🥰💖

This is my random Dawntrail thoughts dumping ground post, stuff I didn't find enough to say about to make a separate post about.
Some general area spoilers!
I mentioned this briefly before, but I think Dawntrail might have a bunch of my favourite zones in the game.
I think Tuliyollal is most certainly my favourite city next to Radz-at-Han and Kugane.
I adore the Crystarium, Ishgard, Ultima Thule, Amaurot and Garlemald narratively, but they're also not exactly locations I want to be in "constantly".
I adore Lakeland, Il Mheg, Rak'tika, Thavnair and the Azim Steppe because they're pretty and they definitely fulfilled this role previously for me, but I just enjoy hanging out in Kozama'uka, Urqopacha, Shaaloani and Yak T'el so much more as "locations" and in terms of atmosphere, not for story reasons.
They're great "MMO" zones for me.
I'm almost done with maxing out the Shared FATEs and even the last two zones aren't exactly ones I just want to chill in, either, but the others?
Great stuff and a niché that hadn't been specifically filled for me before this expansion.
I'd farm FATEs for eternity here with or without battle music.
Next, I think Dawntrail might also have my favourite soundtrack so far. So much variety and with the exception of some vocals, it's all great.
I love the other soundtracks, of course, but ShB and EW in particular were much less diverse in terms of styles at play, mostly leaning into lyric tracks, traditional orchestral or piano arrangements with some outliers.
They're amazing at what they're going for, but DT has great jazz, great traditional orchestral stuff, great techno, great rock.
And it's all really, really good.
And HW and StB are somewhere in the middle where they have a bunch of different styles of music, but not quite as much variety within them.
HW has Alexander, which is very different from any of the base game stuff and StB has lots of old FF music in Omega and Ivalice, but outside of that also mostly leans on traditional orchestral music with a touch of the cultures you encounter and lyric tracks.
And obviously, only the base expansion and first raid tier are out, but DT had a track in a different style for every single floor of the first raid tier. The variety is unmatched.
As said, my negative would actually be the lyric tracks because they just sound off this expac for some reason.
I've always found it to be the weakest part of the OSTs because when they're good, they're good, but there are points where they tend to be muffled or a strange kind of crackly or in DT's case just not sound good. Smile and the song for Arcadion M2 are solid compositions, latter is wonderfully catchy, but the singing itself is just kind of off to me.
I felt it to a lesser extent for M4, too.
But it's a very small part of the OST so far, so I think it barely pushes out ShB as my favourite OST.
Next, I want to briefly mention the job design.
I got all of the jobs I've leveled to 100 (so far 6 different ones).
To preface this: I'm entirely casual, so I have no idea how these feel in high-end play, but in terms of casual play, most just feel "streamlined".
I'll go down the list:
My enjoyment of Dragoon in particular increased quite a bit because, most simply put, some of it was just annoying to keep track of and keep doing. I'm so happy Dragonsight is gone because it was just annoying to apply it.
On the other hand, as smoother as I feel the gap closer is in terms of gameplay experience and as much as I love the new combo, Disesteem being a 2 min and there being no actual attack oGCD in place of Plunge somehow makes Dark Knight feel emptier.
Now that I reflect on it, I liked that you had another button to push, just not that it was a gap closer. Now it just feels like you just have less to do because a gap closer is situational.
Even as annoying as Blood Weapon was, it was a button to push.
Dark Knight is the job I've enjoyed playing the most out of all of the ones I've leveled and I still do, but it's the one I feel is the simplest now and not in a good way.
I think it actually really needs more oGCDs that aren't conditional procs or a resource skill or anything more than it currently does or something else going for it besides the gauge timer abilities and Delirium. It feels so simple, yet unlike Viper less satisfying.
It's my #1 pick for adjustments or a full rework for 8.0 or earlier, even if I might not like it afterwards.
I actually have very little commentary on Red Mage and Sage outside of it being neat that you have more attacks now.
I hear the new Manafication setup for Red Mage is pretty annoying in hardcore context. I'm pretty indifferent about it, so I wouldn't mind if they adjusted it.
Bard's new attacks are great and having the ability to use your songs without targeting is fantastic.
And Viper is 100% my new favourite melee, I think. You can just follow the shiny buttons or focus on trying to not overcap as best as you can, hitting all of the positionals the best you can and perfecting all of your button inputs because there are scenarios where you can lose a bunch of damage if you press the wrong button.
The ranged options and movement options are fantastic.
Awakening is a blast to try and use well mid-battle.
(Please don't remove too many of the positionals. They're a fun optimisation option.)
And I think that's about it for some of the scattered topics.
I have 90% of my Dawntrail thoughts out now.
I thought about it and I think separate dungeon posts are a pretty mild priority and I'll just enjoy the game and take a break from talking about it for at least a little bit.
Also depends on if I'll get any other ideas on topics I want to talk about, I suppose.

I feel compelled to tell you I dreamt about Ultima Thule (because I've spent AGES there lately IG) and in that dream, Fornax and their spouse were helping Omicrons rebuild a section of flooring and Fornax looked amazing in the dream lighting.
blessed by the dream versions of fornax and ryss.......!!
it's quite accurate that fornax would help the omicrons rebuild some things! this sounds like a sign for me to pose them in UT some day....... 🤔 that zone has some of my favorite background colors

6. ring
(follows the epilogue for more than fear)
A full sennight after her return from Ultima Thule, most of which she had spent sound asleep, Aymeric walked into his – their – chambers to find Kaede awake and mostly alert, leaned back against the headboard as she sat staring contemplatively down at the ring that adorned the third finger of her left hand. A smile tugged the corner of his mouth at the reminder that yes, she had in fact agreed to marry him, but he set the still-fresh joy aside as he settled onto the bed beside her. “I hadn’t the chance to ask you yet – do you like it?”
Blinking in surprise, Kaede transferred her attention from the jewelry to him, her blue eyes nearly lost in the darkened flesh that surrounded them. “The ring? It’s lovely. Though, I must admit, considerably more ostentatious than I expected from you,” she murmured, her voice still a touch raspy and words coming more slowly than usual, but stronger than any she’d uttered thus far. The improvement was wonderful to see, even if the reminder of how badly she’d overextended herself still sent a sharp spike of worry through his heart.
But Kaede, more than anything, hated to be fussed over, so Aymeric swallowed back his impulse to tell her to rest. Instead, he took her left hand in his and ran his thumb over the large central sapphire, surrounded as it was by tiny shards of diamond. “To be quite honest, ‘tis indeed more extravagant than I planned, but the artisan required creative control as a condition of taking the commission.”
Her eyes narrowed in thought, Kaede regarded him steadily. “That’s…unusual, for a commissioned piece. Who did you hire to design it, anyway? I’ve been trying to figure it out for days now – I would have assumed that you would have gone to Serendipity, at the guild in Ul’dah, but it seems too finely made even for her.”
Aymeric ducked his head to hide a smile. “I did go to her at first, yes. But when I told her my goal – that while I did not wish to propose to you with a ring of your own making, neither would I consider presenting you with something of lesser quality than your own work – she was uncertain that she could reliably fulfill my request, and directed me elsewhere. Though acquiring an audience with Master Manderville was –”
Kaede abruptly leaned forward, her voice caught somewhere between amazement and outright horror. “Manderville? Godbert Manderville? When? How? The man doesn’t take commissions, he just…wanders Eorzea these days, looking for inspiration.” She waved a hand in vague disbelief, looking more animated than he’d seen in some time.
“Well, as I was saying, actually tracking him down was the difficult part. I had to enlist the sultana’s assistance for that, in exchange for a few less favorable-than-usual trade deals.” Nanamo hadn’t driven a terribly hard bargain, all things considered – he had gone in expecting to have to offer much more than he had. The negotiation had felt more like an uldahn formality than anything, but Aymeric had no doubt that had his request been for the benefit of any other woman, the outcome would have been far different.
“Aymeric, are you telling me that you exchanged political favors to get me an engagement ring?”
“No, I believe I said I exchanged political favors to obtain a meeting with the man I hoped to convince to make you an engagement ring,” he responded, his smile breaking into a full-on grin at her incredulous expression. “It is my opinion that Ishgard and Ul’dah are both sufficiently in debt to you that it shouldn’t be considered an abuse of power, and Nanamo agreed.”
With a deep sigh, Kaede shook her head and leaned against his upper arm, looking more tired by the moment, but still focused entirely on his story. “Alright, so Nanamo helped you track down the famously elusive Godbert bloody Manderville, the greatest goldsmith of our era, and then what?”
“Then I found myself in the surprising position of not needing to convince him of anything at all. When he realized that the ring was meant for you, he agreed immediately, on the condition that I permit him aesthetic freedom with the design. From the way he spoke, he thinks very highly of you, and some manner of assistance you provided his son? Honestly, I didn’t quite follow some of what he said, but he seemed a congenial sort of fellow. Odd, but most geniuses are, I suppose.”
“Important question: was he wearing a shirt, when you met him?”
Aymeric blinked, but there was no hint of playfulness in Kaede’s expression, only earnestness. “I… yes? Is that… unusual?”
With a grin at his obvious confusion, Kaede shrugged and tugged him down with her into bed. “Neither of us are remotely drunk enough for me to attempt to explain the absolute abyss of logic and reason that surrounds Hildibrand Manderville and his family, but suffice it to say, most of the times I’ve met Godbert, he was wearing little more than his smallclothes and his pince-nez. The man is insane. A genius, yes, but completely off his rocker. I’ll be damned if he isn’t a master goldsmith, though.” Her smile softened into something warmer as she settled in on her small pile of pillows, regarding him with a soft expression. “It sounds as if you went to a great deal of trouble on my behalf. You didn’t need to, you know. I would have been happy with anything, as long as it was from you.”
“I know that. But I wanted to. You deserve all the trouble I can spare, and more.” He reached over and smoothed a lock of blonde hair, tucking a curl back in among its fellows.
Smothering a huge yawn behind her hand, Kaede’s eyes drifted closed for a moment, then opened and fixed on him again, as if daring him to argue. “Fine. I’m making our wedding bands, though.”
“Of course. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
#ffxivwrite#ffxivwrite 2023#love and its decisive pain#wolmeric#this was silly but it's been floating around in my brain for ages#the only man on Etheirys that Kaede is honestly afraid of is Godbert Manderville

What do you think is TSC’s darkest book/series or Plot-line?
I personally think Cassandra’s darkest book is Queen of Air and Darkness, as some of her darkest scenes/plot-points/dialogue where in there (excluding not also including some of Sebastian’s scenes in TMI).
It got to the point where her writing these things had gone from inconspicuous to outright offensive. I don’t mind the mature change, but it was just noticeable, you know? The comment Dane Larkspear made about a 13 year old Dru and him asking Dearborn personally to ‘keep her’? The suggestion that Sebastian and Jace were ‘playing’ with with rebels that look like a dead Clary? Manuel-and his whole weird sadist obsession with Zara- hiding under a corpse? Poor Ash being abused and manipulated constantly?
That book was heavyyyyy I swear
TW: mentions of Rape
Darkest books?? Definitely the dark artifices series!! Those books felt so much more serious and more new adult than young adult, I loved them so much!! I personally think there Cassandra’s best work.
However, anything to do with Sebastian Morgenstern has to be her darkest stuff yet!! I feel as tho it’s not mentioned as much due to the fact the mortal instruments is definitely written in a more YA way.
1. Has actual attraction towards sister
2. Tried to rape that sister
3. Torturer
4. Murderer
5. Racist! (The way he refused to turn Mark because he was half fae 😰)
His cruelty and atrocities are even more present in the Thule plot.
This is one the most despicable things I have ever read😭. Pretty red head, like his sister? Also implying that he made Jace play with them to? (This has to be rape of some kind, also mental manipulation) I can’t imagine how scared those poor girls must have been 💔.
Not to mention that he literally killed Max.
I know this isn’t a specific plot line, but I really do think Sebastian is the most wicked villain she will ever write. Thule is just an example of that as well!
Also, him literally turning shadowhunters into like dark versions of themselves is so wicked. Turning Amatis to get back at Luke?? Turning the Blackthorns father and than having him go after the rest of the family?? WICKED.
The only thing he ate?? The red shadowhunter gear.
Small jokes aside and also a quick rant: I absolutely hate how the fandom treats him like he was just “misunderstood” or “wronged”. I agree we should be sympathetic to the fact he was abused as a child and manipulated, however he STILL MADE THESE DECISIONS GROWING UP! He chose to abuse clary, he chose to abuse Jace. He chose to ruin so many families lives (The blackthorns, the lightwoods, Clary’s life, his army killed Cristina’s dad SO MUCH MORE.) he’s a bad person, it literally says in the book that his good self never got to exist, which is sad but I hate how people think that moment defines his whole character.. it doesn’t 😭. Like yeah it’s sad we never got to see him be a good person, but that’s it.
Sebastian Morgenstern I HATE you and they can never ever ever make me like you!
This is such an amazing ask Pookie!! TYSM for letting me rant 😎.

I’ve been collecting my chaotic thoughts for few days and haven’t truly recovered from last week’s event. I’ve made this countdown for fun, for Poppy, for torturing you with pictures and confusing with person you haven’t seen and haven’t heard of before 🤭 I’ve been a massive fan of Kuba’s work for years, since I truly remember, and I’m always curious about career path he chooses to take. I believe he is a supporter of the phrase 'art for art’s sake’. He’s an actor but not celebrity, he pursues the craft of being an artist in films and that’s probably why I admire him the most. I wish I recorded what he said during the meeting but to quote it from (an excellent!) journalist who put his words all together: Jakub talked about 'The Double', about working with Holoubek (the director), but also about his childhood experience spent in Germany, cultural differences, but most beautifully about his attitude - acting and life.
"I am less fascinated by acting, more by film. It's always been like that: film, camera. I appreciate what I have, but I don't think it comes together, it has to come together with some kind of media over-zealousness. I don't have to, I don't want to, I can't do it. Maybe it's naivety on my part, but I take it all seriously. Seriously. I don't want to use big words, I avoid it, but this is a serious issue for me. I'm not a doctor, I'm not a teacher, I'm not even a plumber. My job is very strange in fact. What can we leave behind? Some experience possibly, I guess. That's what matters to me. And I don't need to encase it in something more. I'd rather work than contribute somewhere else. That's where you'll find me."
He’s just the guy who loves filmmaking, he does what he has to do to promote it because it’s part of this job. It’s well-paid, convenient and freelance job, which he emphasises on the basis of privileges he has from it. He is such a smart person and an hour is definitely too little to listen to what he has to say. I love his sense of humour and that kind of honesty and curiosity coming from him. I can’t wait to see him more on a big screen with new projects. (Ultima Thule - dir. Klaudiusz Chrostowski - coming to polish theatres in February! 🐑✨) What an amazing soul! 🎥 I’m so grateful my best friend could come with me and giggle about thousands of stuff all the way during this little trip! ("ALE JAJA!" "Że tak powiem…" 26! 😉)

The Flat Earth PsyOp was created to hide two main things.
A. That the US Military Industrial Complex has developed state-of-the-art aircraft capable of interstellar travel, thanks to your tax dollars, here: https://www.bitchute.com/video/CAMMdMNn0sER/
and B. Inner Earth, known as Agartha.
A 1. Not only has the US MIC developed state of the art aircraft capable of interstellar travel, but these aircraft and "defense" corps are now arming "space" which is why NASA photoshops so much of their content.
A 2. The Flat Earth PsyOp is also used to hide human trafficking and use of human slave labor off planet. However, most people won't believe this because they have slept most of their lives and are trapped in mental constructs like Democrat vs Republican, Black vs White, Hollywood movies, religion, and other things that they are used to holding onto the people divided and in a state of low consciousness, unaware of the amazing information that can actually set us all free. This is the main war alongside the spiritual, the battle for your consciousness, which is why natural plants and remedies like cannabis and ayahuasca are illegal in the western world.
A 3. Last but not least, the flat earth disinfo also tries to hide that other governments have developed sophisticated aircraft, like Germany for example with their "Haunebu" saucer:

Since tomorrow is the final (story content) patch of EndWalker, I've been thinking about what I really did enjoy, and, regardless of your opinion of the story, the ending of 6.0 was done magnificently. I'm going to put thoughts about it under a spoiler, just in case people are still working their way there.
You step foot into Ultima Thule, you know the stakes. Something got put out into the universe that never should've left your world. And now it was hellbent on destroying the very world that created it. This was it, you are diving into their home to put a stop to it, in a final gamble.
And yet, once you arrive, you're already down a Scion. Then you start to lose another, then another, watching the very allies you've had since ARR offer themselves up so that you may continue forward. They know it's you, the WoL, you aren't going to fail, because you refuse to. If there's ever a time to put all your trust in someone and a person to do it to, it's the WoL, and it's now.
And the whole time, your enemy is there, watching you, telling you why you should accept their defeat. It's all inevitable, the end will eventually come. And yet, you refuse to stop. Even when you are alone and the weight of it all becomes unbearable, you do the thing. You walk to the end. All the while, still being shown and told by the emeny why they are right and your efforts are futile.
Then, once you get your allies back and finally get to that battle against the Endsinger themself, you do what needs to be done, and face them alone. Except you aren't alone. The one antagonist that refuses to leave you be, love him or hate him, shows up, amazed you've not already won, and offers assistance so you can win (and give him a glorious combat he's so wanted but that's beside the point).
And, then there's the climatic battle itself. Every final boss theme woven into one while you fight for the fate of the universe. You think you have a chance to win, and the Endsinger shows you that, no, you're wrong. And then it happens.
You enter phase 2. Not the boss' phase 2. Yours. Your theme song (a remix of the Maker's Ruin from back during your initial WoL escapades in ARR) plays. Your allies give you one last prayer, one last assistance. Because while you may be the one who can stop this, you can't do it alone, and they made damn sure you never would be.
The Endsinger fight was such a wonderful culmination of a 10 year journey. Regardless of opinion of the story leading up to that, that is by far one of the best fight experiences I've had in a video game (barely passing the Hades fight in SHB).
Oh and then the credits throw a "you as the WoL" bit in, that was such a great move.
