and sherlock looks him in the eye and says "yes u did" and shoots him dead

A Different Type of Sick The 11th Doctor x Reader

Okay so I managed to get myself depressed this evening, after dealing with it in my own way I am not going to write a major comfort fanfic about one of my current comfort characters, the 11th Doctor. Also this one is going to be a bit specific, I hope you can forgive me for that. I hope you all still enjoy it regardless. 

TRIGGER WARNING: It will include mentions of self-harm, suicidal thoughts and be pretty depressing.  Reader discretion is advised. 

The Doctor has noticed that you are not your chipper self, while on your latest time seeing the Ood your eyes didn’t hold the sparkle they usually did when you listen their stories.  He thought maybe you were not feeling well. Once back in The T.A.R.D.I.S.  he made you some tea. Later, he saved you a seat to watch the birth of the universe, you declined and simply stated you were going to bed.  In the morning the Doctor came in and came into your room to wake you up, he noticed that it had looked like you hadn’t touched your tea from last night.“Alright! You weren’t happy when you saw the Ood, you didn’t watch the birth of the Universe with me last night which is one of your favorite things to do, mind you. Now I find that you didn’t touch your tea. What is wrong (Y/N)?” 

“It’s nothing, Doc, just the flu.” You say  “Now I might not have lived the life of a human but I know when one is sick, and you are sick but a different type a sick” You roll over to face him and ruffle his hair, “Can I pick the place that we go today? You can’t ask any questions about it though.” You ask lips quivering as if you are asking him to free you from this sadness.  “OK (Y/N). I will teach you how to-”  “Blue Beauty knows where I want to go, don’t you girl?” The T.A.R.D.I.S. whizzes and soon you are both at the distination. You throwon a jacket and walk out. This is the first time the Doctor has noticed that you are still in the same clothes from yesterday. 

You walk through the graveyard, your feet memorized the way to her long ago. There is a nip in the air as the Doctor gets to your side. He reads the grave silent to himself, he is about to ask a question but remembers your request and hold his tongue. You don’t know how long you stand there before you ask, “You can’t take me to a time where I can see her again, can you?” Your question hangs in the air like an unspoken prayer. “I mean, we could, but you couldn’t talk to her or have her see you. It would destroy the fabric of reality.” He says.  “How lonely you must be, Doc, I know I am not your only friend. You can never go back and see any of them either. Though who am I to compare my problems to you  Doc.”  The Doctor turns away from the grave and looks at you he notices you are shaking. Suddenly you fall to your knees. You hit the grave over and over with your fists, almost like if you hit it hard enough it will disappear and she will be alive again. You know that it is stupid to believe it, but you have not choice. The Doctor scoops you up, but you push him away. “What is the point of time travel if you can’t see your loved ones?I don’t care if I couldn’t learn about another species of alien if it means I can see her, if she can hold me again, tell me that I will be okay without her. That she is proud of me and that she loves me. I have half a mind to run back to Blue Beauty right now and steal her away from you. Doctor, please I am beginning you, I don't know if I can keep doing this.” You beg him, you aren’t on your knees but you might as well be. The Doctor thinks long and hard about all the people he has lost Rose, Donna, Amy and Rory. He thinks of his friends and the times they have shared, he thinks of the laughter and tears they shared. You turned from him.  “I am sorry Doctor, I just want to be near her again, just to hear her laugh, to watch her wrap her arms around me and pick me up. To see for my eyes how much she loved me, how much I was her little world. I constantly try to convince myself all these things and logically I know it is true but I feel like my heart refuses to believe it unless I see it and feel it from her. And now I can’t she’s six feet under and I am suppose to live on, I get to see the birth of the universe as many times as I want, I can experience history and go to the future. I can do all these things that she never got to do, but without her....” “But without her you feel empty, like no knowledge, no friendships, no experience will feel that void in your heart.” The Doctor finishes. 

“I tried to end it because the thought of going on without her was something I couldn’t fathom. If I couldn’t be with her in life maybe in death we could be together. I went to my own mom’s funeral when I was a teenager, that shit fucks you up. And now I stand before you beginning you to destroy reality just so I can see her again. And the fucked up thing is I know you won’t and I know that I wouldn’t want it. But, God, Doctor she is so close to me.” The Doctor pulls you in for another hug and that is when the walls come crashing down. It feels like the world around is being teared apart and you are sure you are going to drown in your feelings. You hang on to the Doctor as if he is your only life line because right now he is, you feel those dark thoughts calling to you like a siren calls to a sailor. Again you are unsure how much time passes. You kiss your fingers and place them on the grave, “I love you mom.”  You go to pull the Doctor with you when he scoots closer to the grave, “Now Mrs. I know that you can hear me, your child has done incredible things. Saved the world from Cybermen, Daleks and Weeping Angels a few times, she has also given people hope when they were hopeless, bravery when they feared. She has taught me that it is okay to let your feelings take a hold of you and to find a support buddy. When you find that buddy hang on to them, hang on to them no matter what. In the end Mrs. I know you and her will be reunited again and I hope that after a while, I will be there also. You have a Fantastic child.” 

You feels your eyes water with tears and notice that the Doctor is shedding his own.  “Well then, I think it is time to get something to eat... How does lasagna in Naples during the Middle Ages sound?”  To Doctor asks you while rising and dusting off his pants. You smile, take his hand, and lead him back to the T.A.R.A.D.I.S. with a laugh.
