Running some AK numbers and Chiave+Robots is actually amazingly well done rotation wise, especially with his module. 80% reduction brings robots down from 200s->40s, with their strong deployment effects... i read once that slotting Chiave+Robots is essentially giving him more skills and that's never been more true
Redeploy/Skill Uptime List
Lancet: 40s
Thermal: 40s/3s deploy/8s debuff
Chiave: 45s Blazing Wire Stripper
Friston: 40s/10s buff
Justice/Castle: 40s/20s buff
The biggest issue is that Friston, Justice, and Castle will desync if you let them play out their whole duration, and Thermal needs to be Potential 2/3 for his Fragile to make up for not sticking around to buff Chiave (18/21% fragile vs 15/18% robot out).
Basically, ideal rotation seems to be to dump all robots when BWS is at 40s charge, let 'er rip, and retreat them all immediately after the explosion.
But also Friston has pretty bad uptime and tbh numbers as a skill, Castle and Justice are fairly average... Lancet and Thermal are burst skills.
Chiave S1 has 38/35s rotation and is automatic... but the robots are cheap enough that you don't actually need this dp infusion before you deploy them and especially not on a second round...
It makes me wanna mess around with the team way more and I'm gonna go do that

Does anyone else go back through their Arknights character list sorting by acquisition date every once in a while just for fun or out of curiosity? It's very interesting to me for some reason. Screenshots of my account below the cut:
Could have sworn Cuora was a scripted first pull, but it says I got Meteor first instead.
Exu was my beginner banner six star, followed by an early Shining on either the Gavialter banner or whatever standard banner was running at the time, followed by a second Exu.
Woe, three back to back top operator tags be upon ye: (And by back to back I mean it, there were no other recruitments in between)
I heard from a friend that Mudrock was worth buying in the cert shop so I was pulling to try and get to 180 distinctions, but the game gave me Mudrock from gacha right as I was nearing the amount needed to buy her. Also shown here is Texas from the pinboard missions, Tequila from Dossoles Holiday rerun, and Bagpipe who I got off Rosa and Phantom standard banner (not sure why I pulled on that tbh).
THRM-EX shows I was just starting episode 7 of the main story here. Mountain was from the shop with those gold certs I didn't need to spend on Mudrock, followed by Passenger, Nightingale, and Młynar on Młynar's banner. Conviction and Luo Xiaohei provide more context for how much time passes before the next set of pulls.
Heidi from episode 10 of main story followed by Il Siracusano pulls. A relatively early Penance followed by a Carnelian, then Texas and Silverash in the same 10 pulls. Then, there was the Irene standard banner, in which I tried and failed to get Irene but lucked into Goldenglow instead. A short time after, I got Ceobe from recruitment, amusing as she was the other operator on the banner with Irene.
Ifrit from recruitment, followed by Saga and Fiammetta from failing to get Reed the Flame Shadow. Picked up Kal'tsit from the shop.
Now, the present. Weedy off of recruitment during Vernal Winds, followed by Eyja from the shop during Invitation to Wine rerun. In pulling for Yato alter, I picked up Schwarz and Irene first. Aak came just now from another top operator tag, perfect timing after I finished the IS3 medal set.

can we play robots like justice knights and co?
Love robots, absolutely feel free to give us a robot. Only thing with this is that since you'll be playing them for the whole game you'll want to make them a proper character with a fully fleshed out personality, not just sort of a one-off goof.
Also note that Arknights-style robots are generally not humanoid. We are happy for you to make a humanoid robot if you'd like your OC to have an easier time shipping* but do note that as per the lore doc they would be treated as a very fascinating rarity.
*although frankly id kiss thrm-ex so this isnt mandatory
