sebastian was in charge of the aux - it really didn't matter that hunter was driving and it was hunter's car. frankly, as much as he trusted hunter in other matters, when it came to music selection, hunter's taste was less than ideal - in his opinion. "really, clarington? the radio? that's what you listen to in the car?" he questioned incredulously and shook his head as he scrolled his phone for the perfect song, "you know, sometimes right when i think you're about to beat those 'extremely life-like AI model' allegations, you do something that starts you right back at square one." he was teasing, mostly. there was something about hunter that unnerved him, but most of the time he saw that as a good thing, they kept each other on thier toes, they made each other strive to be better, wasn't that exactly what a friendship should be? sebastian was still unsure, he'd never had a best friend of the same gender before, this was all new territory.

overview: after spending the afternoon cheering their team to victory, catrina and adrian attended homecoming together and had a great time dancing with friends and getting to know each other a little better. when approached by puck towards the end of the night in hopes of a last dance, cat was later seen leaving the dance with puck and then showing up at tina's house with him. at tina's party cat was seen hanging out with adrian, sam and ali for a lively round og beer bong, and checking in with hunter before she seemingly disappeared, ending up at puck's house where they made their new friendship, official ( hooked up but did not have sex ).

Hunter had grown very fond of having a sister. In his real life, he knew he would never get along with any sibling if his parents had ever dared to have another child. They would surely be forced to compete for everything in life and Hunter probably would have been more bully than brother. At least with Sage, even if he knew it was fake, he got to experience what it was like to have family that supported him with no expectations of who or what he should be.

"Knock knock?" Sam calls out, knocking in a pattern at Hunter's door. It is early, but not too early. As always, he gets up at five, works out, showers, and gets his sibling's lunch snacks organized - so seven am seems like a perfectly reasonable time for coffee and cookies. Plus, he's earned that cookie. He tries to stop himself from looking around, but he wants to be prepared in case Hunter sends him to a crack-house. It wouldn't be the first time in McKinley history. He glimpses his reflection in a close window, the shine of glitter catching his attention. "Oh god," he grumbles to himself, shaking it out the best he can. The customers love the glitter, but it is truly a nightmare to get off. "Hello..." He calls out one more time before setting eyes on a doorbell. "Oh.. Yeah, that would make sense."

during our fourth week open, we did not grow our membership but we ended the week with seven applications and can't wait to see how these new muses and members mesh into our little family !!

this week was disney week and it's safe to say everyone really embraced the theme, with upwards of 60 edit posts this week, as well as a ton of active para threads on the dash and on the discord server !!

our fifth weekly task & glee club assignment was posted, and disney week was a huge success !! as always you can find all of the task fills for this week on the inspiration blog & on the discord server in the appropriate channels !!

we hosted another successful ask wednesday this week, thank you to everyone who participated !!

we also saw the red team attend a special party at breadstix for winning during spirit week, and some drama ensued !!

the gossip blog hosted a superlative saturday, which was a fun little task to toss onto the dash, everyone reacting to the superlatives was fun to watch.

hunter wasn’t much into the jock scene, football players gave him a headache and though he’d watched a couple of basketball games his interest in the sport was minimal at best. but he would, however, be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy watching the cheerleaders every now and then — from a purely artistic point of view of course. “you have talent,” he said simply, tucking his hands into the pocket of his jeans as he spoke to the girl. “but you could do better than cheerleading for a team who’s greatest accomplishment is running from one end of a field to the other.”

The Mock Trials start TOMORROW (04.26) and the claims will go through May 9th. These claims will be treated as legal trials so all trial rules will be adhered to. Most important - subs must be collared (play collars or cuffs will suffice), the subs will move into the Dominant's dorm/apartment, Dominants will create rules for the claim, and no other Doms can put claimed subs under orders/punishments without permission from the claim's dominant.

Alright, pretty straight forward. We did update the calendar for NO CLASSES on April 29-30, and May 6-7, to allow for some day-long playing. Remember, there are 200 points at stake so we need to see pretty consistent activity. Additionally, we'll need the "summary" posted and linked to the channel in the OOC discord. Summary should include a link to the rules for the claim and a summary of the scenes or noteworthy things involved. 200 points is a lot, so we're looking for more than just a couple headcanons or unfinished threads. Let us know of any questions or plot ideas.

there were times when sebastian could be difficult, in fact he knew that those times far outnumbered the times when he was amicable, but he'd never hidden the fact that when he really cared about someone he'd make an effort. and hunter was someone who, despite all odds, he did care about. hunter was special. definitely the closest sebastian had ever come to calling someone a best friend, someone who understood him completely and seemed to want to stick around, even when the worst parts of himself shone through as they often did. he rarely connected with other men the way he had with hunter and while he refused to become emotional over it, he'd decided to take hunter's birthday as an opportunity to show his gratitude, to show his devotion. and in truth, sebastian had always been fond of birthdays, his parents had always made a big deal of them for him growing up, and that enthusiasm had rubbed off.

it was far too early for any sane person to be awake, let alone to already be finished a morning run, showered and ready to start their day, but hunter was anything but the average joe, so of course, by the time sebastian had driven out of town and back - a special trip to make sure hunter got some decent coffee on his birthday - hunter was ready to face the day when seabstian rang his doorbell, coffee in one hand and the other full with a ridiculous assortment of balloons and a small gift box. as soon as hunter answered sebastian donned his signature smirk, "just be grateful i didn't order one of those stripping singing grams...on second thought, you're into that type of thing now i suppose...maybe you'd prefer to see that instead of me this early."

"spencer porter." she announced, her arms folded across her chest, "he's my new step brother. oh yeah, because they're getting married." she added, emphasizing her annoyance and letting out a huff, "which makes no sense, they've barely been dating a few months, you cannot just marry someone like that. and he was so rude all dinner too. i'm not doing it. i'm not going to let it happen, i'm not living with that guy." @claringtonhq

       the only thing hunter missed about his old life was technology. television had barely been invented and it was quite a class marker to own one. it was actually becoming a thorn in his side as a radio host but it would be another decade before he had to really up his game to stay in with the advancing world. sighing, he sipped on his whisky, fingertips drumming on the bar as he listened to the jazz music coming from the bar’s radio. it was a much calmer atmosphere compared to having a giant flat screen playing one sports game or another with everyone drunkenly shouting for their favorite team. the entertainment would be nice but the need for it was gone when a strikingly familiar brunette took a seat next to him. oh no.

HUNTER’S STORY

Mr. High and Mighty really needs to learn to get off his high horse at times. Coming from a line of intellectuals and Richies, he’s got the over-achiever ‘tude and fine threads that will make your mama proud. With a good paying job as an financial analyst, everyone questions what the hell it is he is doing living at this particular apartment complex when he could afford a skyline view. He’s got an emotional attachment to the place and to be honest the idea of some big cold penthouse up in the city just sounds….extremely uninviting. He may decorate lavishly but he ultimately wants his home to feel like a home - not like it stepped right out of a Better Homes and Gardens magazine. He believes he’s smarter and better than everyone else and that often times steers people away. Though, it’s the good looks and sweet ass car that draw them all back in. He may come off as brash and condescending at times - but he genuinely does care for those around him and is a true romantic at heart. Despite the air of superiority he often sports.   When you take away the designer suits, the business card, and the Porsche, there’s a man as lonely as the rest looking for love in a city of millions. The one night stands are fun and all but all he wants is one special person he can come home to every night after work and boast about to his parents. He’s got everything in his life plan but that. It’s not that he has a hard time getting someone it’s just no one out there is interesting enough to share his bed with twice. Will he ever find someone worthy of a second cuddle?

♛ Born into a long line of well-respected military men, Hunter was the sole heir of the Clarington family’s fortune and high expectations. His mother was a young Hollywood starlet before she fell for a handsome man in uniform. A beautifully grand house, a white picket fence, and a perfect son - their life looked like a fairy tale. However, their relationship was mostly PR, and their little family was really only picturesque when there were literal cameras around. The Clarington family was always, if only just a little, dysfunctional.

♛ Hunter was given his middle name, Lucien, after his great-grandfather who had been a highly regarded General in the army. It was always expected that Hunter follow in his footsteps and become a commanding officer in the branch of his choice. However, after spending two years at West Point, Hunter chose a different path, thereby raising his parents’ expectations further. Now he had prove that he had made the right decision, and considering his established success as a financial analyst, he has certainly met those expectations.

♛ Hunter has a lavish penthouse down at the Pierre which serves as an ideal setting to host business dinners and formal events, and of course, to bring back dates from such events. It’s polished, cold, uninviting - perfect for one night stands. However, that’s not where Hunter wants to live. He wants his home to feel like a home. That’s why he continues to live in Kensington Apts, a place that he has an emotional attachment to. Most people are far more impressed by the penthouse, but in Hunter’ opinion: it’s fuck pad, not a home.

HUNTER’S CONNECTIONS

↳ QUINN FABRAY: Hunter looks for nothing less than the best. He wants to achieve in all walks of his life and right now he’s successful, he has an amazing apartment, and a substantial income. However, one thing that’s missing is a nice girl to take home to his parents. And there’s only one person who he thinks could fulfill that role: Quinn Fabray. They’ve been long time friends - both of their fathers having worked together for the same company. In fact, their families have been trying to not so subtly set them up together for some time. He’s tried asking her out on a date before but so far it’s been fruitless. Quinn has obviously thought about it (he IS gorgeous after all) but she’s still been itching for that little bit of rebellion and she’s unsure if Hunter is going to give that to her. Though, he isn’t planning on giving up quite yet.

↳ KITTY WILDE: Kitty thinks he’s absolutely GORGEOUS. He’s got that older, successful man smolder that she positively melts for. He’s rich, he’s accomplished, and would definitely fit that picture perfect life she has envisioned for herself. She never tries to put a move on him or anything, she may be bold but she’s not quite THAT bold. She’s also got a lot on her plate and she’s not sure adding a boyfriend to that is quite what she needs. 

↳ FINN HUDSON:  Close friend. At first glance, one would not expect temp Finn Hudson and financial analyst Hunter Clarington to mesh well at all. Especially with Hunter’s judgmental tendencies. But Hunter really respects Finn. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that he’s an army man - which Hunter has always grown up respecting. Or maybe it’s just that Finn never does seem to flinch away at Hunter’s brashness and instead sees right through all his bravado. Either way - Hunter likes to hang out with Finn during his free time and wants to help him succeed and get out of his rut.
