She knew full well that if it got to her guardian's ears that she was there, it would get her into trouble. But it was the royal ball and although Maverick had invited her, she had declined the invitation several times.
However that day she felt the need to confess to her friend how she felt. She arrived at the palace, barefoot, her white dress completely soaked with water as she swam to the realm. Sirena was lost but managed to slip past the guards who were now searching for her throughout the palace.
But she managed to find Maverick first. She didn't even mind interrupting him while he was talking very seriously to someone, royal advisors perhaps, Sirena just stood in front of the prince and started talking.
❝ it feels like there’s a string around my heart and it’s connected to you. everywhere you go you’re just tugging me behind, pulling me towards you. you’ve stolen my heart, the least you could do is tell me what you intend to do with it. ❞ She demanded with a look of concern on her face.
Maverick hoped that his Selene showed up to the royal ball. It would take place in the palace, and he worked hard to ensure it would be fun. There were diplomats from other Fae kingdoms, coming to bridge the weakening ties that the Moorlands had with everyone, especially because he was the once boy-king who had his court to rule the realm for him. But as he grew older and more capable, the more he was able to prove that he was fit.
He was talking to royal advisors to pass the time, mentioning that there was going to be more allotment of gain in exchange for soldiers, and then he heard her speak.
He turned, trying to remember what she said first, and then smiled. A string? Stolen her heart? His sweet siren was speaking in riddles, wasn't she?
The advisors did not hold back their disapproving glances. They ordered the servants to wipe off the water that made their marble floors slippery, lest a guest slipped on it. Maverick seemed to not notice it- at all. No he was more lost in the dark abyss of her eyes.
"I will, if you tell me what you intend to do with mine. As you can see, it belongs to you now, because I can only feel the beats when you are near," he playfully lamented, and leaned over to speak to her because these words were only meant for Selena's beautifully adorned ears.
"I am so happy you came to visit. I feel like my night is perfect now. You are my guest, and as your host I must serve you. Let us dine together?"

As Sirena reluctantly gave in to her instinct and began singing, a beautiful melody filled the room, captivating the atmosphere with its enchanting power. The lights dimmed, and a trail of iridescent light danced from Sirena's silhouette to the ceiling, reminiscent of the mesmerizing northern lights.
Maverick, immune to the seductive influence of the siren's song, observed the spectacle with a mixture of awe and concern. He recognized the immense power and allure of Sirena's voice, understanding the danger it posed to those who were susceptible to its charm. But he also saw the vulnerability and turmoil within the siren, longing to be understood and accepted for who she was.
As the room filled with the ethereal glow and enchanting melody, Maverick stepped closer to Sirena, his eyes fixed on her. He reached out a hand, not to touch her, but to create a connection, a bridge between them.
"Sirena," he spoke softly, his voice carrying both empathy and determination, "your voice is a gift, a mesmerizing force that could sway even the strongest of hearts. But it is not your power alone that defines you. You are more than the enchantment you possess."
He paused for a moment, his gaze unwavering. "I see the struggle within you, the battle between who you are and what others expect you to be. But in this moment, right here, right now, you have a choice. You can choose to embrace your true self, to find your own voice beyond the enchantment. I believe in you, Sirena, not just as a siren, but as a person with hopes, dreams, and the capacity for change."
Maverick's words carried a genuine understanding and a desire to help Sirena see her own worth beyond the allure of her song. He knew it wouldn't be an easy journey, but he was willing to stand by her side, supporting her as she found her own path.
"You don't have to drown in the expectations of others," he continued, his voice filled with conviction. "Together, we can navigate through the depths of your existence and find a harmony that resonates with who you truly are. You are not alone, Sirena. Let your voice be a reflection of your soul, not just a tool of seduction."

How is it possible that this faerie was immune to the siren's song? She was surprised, lost, it was the first time this happened and she didn't know what to do. Sirena opened and closed her mouth trying to get words out of it but nothing happened.
As she watched how the prince shamelessly mocked her failed attempt to charm him "I guess I had to try...." Was all the siren said before being lifted up by the fae, who put her over his shoulder. The sea maiden tried to struggle and kick but the prince just laughed "Ah, how much I hate ya right now!" She whined, although internally she was happy that Maverick regained his good mood thanks to her.
"No, don't order me around!" The siren stuck her tongue out at the prince when he sat her down in the bath and asked her to sing. She folded her arms and closed her eyes in a spoiled way.
A silence flooded the place, only the sound of the water that Maverick was heating was present, and Sirena closed her eyes. Before she could fight her instinct to sing, a beautiful melody came out of her chest, and bathed the place with enchantment, the lights went out leaving only the dim light of the lit candles.
And a trail of iridescent light could be seen coming directly from the silhouette of the siren to the ceiling, like northern lights. If Maverick had been a sailor, this light, this song, would lure him like a bait, he would try to reach out, try to touch the siren and her light and drown in the process. But the prince was immune, and although Sirena knew this she could not stop singing.

[ cave ] out of options, sender and receiver are forced to spend the night together in a cave.
Maverick and Sirena were arguing. It was the first argument they had together and led them to forget the time and place. The siren told him that her friend, her supposed 'pet' who was spending more and more time with her whom he did not really know, made her feel safe. It pierced his heart to hear, so he lashed out.
Some time in the middle of their bickering, Cthulhu had fled. Huh.
Just then, thunder and lightning shook the earth, and rain started to fall. Not just normal rain either- the droplets were huge, like giant urns of water were being dropped over their heads.
They had no choice but to retreat to a cave. A cave they never been before, but it was their shelter. The last glow of light disappeared and it became dark, but his night vision was working well. His eyes were glowing green, as he sought out for her.
"Why are you still here, you can't swim away in this storm?" Maverick eventually asked as he saw her huddled in a corner. He didn't want her to stick around and be away from her family when she didn't have to. But he knew he cannot fly away in this storm even if he tried.

[ mime ] across a crowded room, sender mimes a comical scene at receiver to try and make them laugh
As Maverick's eyes scanned the council chamber, his attention was momentarily captured by Sirena's playful mimicry of Councilman Calico. A mischievous spark ignited within him, and a suppressed chuckle escaped his lips. He cast a sidelong glance at Sirena, his eyes gleaming with amusement.
The session was over, and they were back in the solitude and peacfe of their bedroom. Unable to resist the temptation, Maverick leaned towards Sirena, his voice low and filled with playful mischief. "Ah, Sirena, my love," he whispered, "you always possess a knack for brightening the dullest of moments."
His lips curled into a smirk as he continued, matching her playful demeanor. "Calico certainly knows how to make a spectacle of himself, doesn't he? It seems even you have perfected his mannerisms down to the finest detail."
Maverick's gaze flickered between Sirena and the councilman, his amusement growing. "I must admit, darling, your mimicking skills are quite impressive. You've managed to capture his quirks and gestures flawlessly. Can you copy someone else? Like... Ulysses?"

Sirena walks for the first time around the fairy forest, enchanted by every flower, tree and animal she meets, she is sometimes distracted by watching the butterflies but she must find the prince. She walks barefoot and slowly, her legs are not used to walking for so long but finally she sees him.
Sitting among the flowers, Maverick looked majestic, divine, with little fairies fluttering around him, she admired his horns from behind the tree where she watched him, the sunlight illuminated him, she did not want to disturb him, the prince looked serene.
But it was necessary to talk to him. "Ya look really magical... Odile told me I could find you here." The Siren whispered as she walked towards him slowly. "How have ya been?..."
At first, the prince was doing what he told he will do, which was being more down to earth and immersing himself with the fairfolk. Most of them were sweet and innocent, with very little discerning them from flowers and animals. The sunlight seemed to bless them for being in such harmony, and he never felt better. He was actually smiling, which was rarely seen when he was in the middle of a council meeting or walking around and doing rounds in the palace.
Sirena being here only made it better, and he patted the space beside her so sit instead of getting up. The small fae children flocked towards her, admiring the shells in her hair, the sparkle of her dress and earrings that Maverick got just for her, and they even matched her stares and were covering their eyes and giggled loudly.
Why were they covering their eyes? Because the Dark Prince had leaned over and kissed the siren's cheeks. "Greetings, my beautiful Selene. I'm happy you've joined us, just in time for the fancy tea party. I see you're getting a crown being made..." he pointed at the three small fairies that worked together to make a halo out of blue, purple, and yellow flowers of the pea plant.
"Now you're the one who looks magical. Did you just come from the palace? How did you think of my home? I should have given you a personal tour but when I didn't see you the next morning, I came here." He placed the crown on her head, daintily fixing it, "did you go for a swim then?"

Maverick, his heart heavy with the weight of Sirena's pain and resentment, reached out to her, his voice filled with remorse and sincerity. "Sirena, I never wanted to hurt you. I understand that this arrangement feels like a betrayal, and I'm truly sorry for the pain it's causing you. I want you to know that I love you more than anything, and my intention was never to choose anyone over you."
He closed the gap between them that she formed, his gaze filled with longing and regret. "Like I told you- I proposed this plan because I believed it was the only way to ensure our safety, to protect you from the dangers that lie ahead. But I see now that I underestimated the impact it would have on our relationship, and for that, I am truly sorry."
Maverick reached out his hand, his voice gentle and pleading. "Please, Sirena, let me hold you, just for a moment. I want to comfort you, to remind you that our love is real and that you mean everything to me. I understand if you're not ready to forgive me, but please, let me show you how much I care."
"But if not- we shall meet again. Some time or another, we will reunite."
@oceansbride
Sirena’s eyes blazed with anger, her fists clenched in frustration, as she reluctantly accepted Maverick’s proposal.
"Fine, Maverick," she seethed, her words sharp as knives. "If this is the path you insist on taking, then I'll go along with it. But make no mistake, I am not doing this out of love or understanding. I'm doing it because I feel like I have no other choice."
She locked eyes with him, "I'll accept this twisted arrangement, but don't you dare think that I'm happy about it. I'll swallow my pride and my pain and pretend to be okay with sharing you with Arabella, even though every instinct in me screams against it."
Sirena took a deep, shuddering breath, trying to calm the storm of emotions raging within her. "You say it's about our safety, about protecting me, but it feels like a betrayal. It feels like you're choosing her over me, and it's tearing me apart."
Tears welled up in her eyes, but she blinked them back fiercely. "I hope you're satisfied, King. You win, and I'll play your game. But don't expect me to like it, and don't expect me to forgive you easily."

Is there anything that you’ve had to do as prince or king that you have really not wanted to?
"Never really wanted to perform my first execution, and then go into war with the enemies of the realm, but does that matter when there's other's lives at stake? It was a duty, and it gets easier with time, and I've earned my title as Dark Horned Prince at that time. Now shortened to Dark Prince."

💋 (btw i tied Sirena on a chair to be able to do this and Bella doesn't want to admit it this, but as their mother i should!)
send ‘💋’ if your muse thinks mine is kissable.
Arabella, supposedly found him kissable? He couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment and frustration, knowing that their relationship was far from the affectionate connection he had hoped for. Hmm. The fact that the information came through rumors of unknown origin only added to his suspicion.
He muttered under his breath, Rumors, always circulating like a wildfire. But what truth do they hold?
He pondered the situation, realizing that Arabella had been distant and seemingly resentful towards him. Their communication had been limited, leaving him with a sense of unease and uncertainty about their marriage.
Maverick was resolute, declaring, "I must seek the truth directly from Arabella herself. No more relying on whispers and hearsay."
With a determined stride, Maverick made his way to find Arabella, determined to address the growing distance between them and confront the rumors head-on. He found her in their shared chambers, her expression seeming guarded when noticing his presence.
"Arabella, we need to talk," he began to speak, keeping his tone gentle yet firm. "I heard rumors about your perception of me, but I want to hear it from you directly. Is it true? Do you find me kissable?"

"I promised to stay away from you ... but i can’t. Daddy Uly–" she cleared her throat "Ulysses wants me away from you and... he forbade me to see you again, he told me that you are no good for me, that you would play with me. But having something forbidden is exciting, don’t you agree?"
Sirena lowered her gaze from the prince "l shouldn’t want to be with you. And we can’t keep meeting up like this, someone’s gonna find out, and someone’s gonna get hurt!... Oh my prince, tell me why do we always want what we can’t have ?"
Maverick actually did not know much about the relationship between the sirenfolk and sea warlock, and he wanted to keep it that way as long as possible. He feared knowing that the woman he was growing closer to by the day had some weird romantic association with the man who knew no boundaries. Sure on a good day Ulysses was his friend, but like every friendship he tended to enjoy going under his skin.
"He made you promise?" So this is how the warlock was getting back at him? After he banned him from getting to his Fae festivities, and he showed up anyway, Maverick called him out and made a scene, telling him that he shouldn't show up in places he was not invited to. It brought tension to their friendship, which was now hanging by a thread.
"I tried to stay away, but every moment apart from you is torment. I know I don't make it easy for us when I personally leave for a week unannounced... but something happens to me then and it might scare you, and change how you see me."
"I don't want you to have to deal with that part of me."

"Fine," his answer was immediate and with utmost conviction. Even though he was advised against going anywhere alone, he trusted his princess. Even with some brief introspection, he felt no need to hold doubts because she did not seem the sort to even harm a fly. Sure, there were rumors that he was made aware of on their wedding day, rumors of her encountering magic of the forbidden kind, but even that didn't affect his decision.
Maverick's words carried a sense of determination and a promise to stand by her side. "Let us embark together, facing whatever awaits us with courage and unity. I can assure you I am not worried about you harming me. Instead I am here for you, Arabella, and I will safeguard our journey as we navigate the unknown."
With a reassuring smile, Maverick concluded, "Lead the way, my princess. We will face this challenge together, and I will ensure your safety every step of the way."
They headed to the forest that was deemed forbidden. An air of anticipation and trepidation surrounded them. The ancient trees stood tall and imposing, casting long shadows that seemed to whisper secrets among the rustling leaves.
He slipped his hand into her hand, his grip providing comfort and reassurance.
"Is this... okay?"
@poetryofcorpses
Arabella's fears about Maverick seemed to be unfounded, he was known as the dark prince, feared and respected among the magical kingdoms, of faes and other beings, she had prepared herself for a life of misfortune, heartbreak and suffering at his side, but, this man who spoke to her so sweetly, trying to understand her and come to an agreement with her, did not seem to be the evil prince she had been warned about.
The princess turned to him and finally looked him in the eyes, she needed to go to the forest as soon as possible, "Husband, if it is true that you will pause your duties as sovereign for a moment, to guard me to the forest... I— I would be grateful if we could leave ñ as soon as possible,"
She was nervous, anxious, fiddling with the thin silk cloak of her robes while trying not to impose her needs, "There is something in the forest that requires my presence... urgently..." the princess confessed, "Please, if we go, let it— let it just be us, no guards, no protective beings, just you and me... I know you don't have to trust me, after all I'm just a stranger for you right now, but..." Arabella's eyes pleaded for Maverick to trust her, "We must go,"

The more she spoke, the more Maverick found her to be endearing. She spoke much like those sailors that would come into port when he was outside of the Moorlands, past the city of Andorra and ventured to the Mediterranean. It dawned on him that perhaps Siren creatures do not naturally talk but had learned it through conversing with such folk. But if the legends hold true, there was not much conversing, and more consuming involved.
He looked at her with a soft gaze, wondering if she could ever hurt him. She was so breathtakingly gorgeous, with those large eyes and the luscious curves of her lips, that Maverick might even allow her to hurt him, and thank her for it.
"You like my scent, did you say?" Maverick chuckled and sat her down carefully, smoothing the fabric over her skin to help cover as much as possible. His shirt was long enough to reach her knees, and that is where his hand landed, on her newly formed legs. How fascinating- a moment ago they were scales, and his own arms had somewhat similar scales too. They were remnants of his inner dragon.
His large wings stretched, and then happily fluttered as he sat there listening to all these things she had to say and ask him.
"What happens at midnight? I have to head back home, and rest for the next morning. I have a lot of responsibilities that I simply cannot run away from. I have much to do," he explained. Much to prove.
Just then, she grabbed at his face, and his heart started pounding on his chest. His mouth fell open to its own accord, probably from shock that the siren was getting this chose. Maverick would believe it if someone told him that those droplets of water were his own beads of sweat.
"It's painful, but I think it's worth it. Hm, if you really want one, I can give you one in a more common area," he smoothed his hands on the side of her face, and then pinched at her ear lobe. "Right here, on both ears. Would you like that?"
It was getting late, and he parted from her. She was allowed to keep his shirt, as he carefully led her to the edge of the shores and submerged her once again.
"We must depart, but I will see you again soon. I'll even bring the right equipment to get your ears pierced. Until then- Selene, may the sea gods take care of you."
@mere-lullaby
The siren followed the man's gaze, he was looking at the moon, which looked especially big and bright that night "Selene, it is a beautiful name I like it! Then I will be Selene for ya." The girl's voice soft, and velvety.
Then the man who had become a dragon before, introduced himself, and Sirena frowned at his name "Well that is a long name" she commented placing her index finger on her chin. "I have never met a prince before, I guess I will call ya Prince Maverick, or Mav, that is easier to remember."
Sirena heard her accent and couldn't help but compare it to the prince's way of speaking, so polite, so formal, so perfect, she inwardly felt ashamed, her mentor had done his best to teach her how to speak properly and though she tried hard she couldn't help but blurt out a misspoken phrase here, or there.
"I suppose ya must be all day, surrounded by princes and princesses, so what are ya doing here?..." Sirena inquired, it was as if she wanted to know everything about the prince, she should be luring him to the sea with her and yet here she was conversing with him, getting to know him.
When Maverick grabbed her she looked into his eyes but quickly averted her gaze with a slight imperceptible blush on her cheeks as he helped her sit down "You will forgive me Prince Maverick, I do not know how to talk well to faes like ya, I do not have that kind of practice, so I am sorry if my way of speaking is not the best..."
A little surprised the Siren watched silently as the prince put his shirt on her, and carefully he buttoned it. A moment of silence that made her nervous "Well ya see, my legs hurts the first few hours like billions of crystals cutting inside, but, I am used to it, it will pass. Thanks for, yer shirt... it's nice, it smells like ya, I like yer scent"
The sea maiden tilted her head "And why can you not sail, the Ocean is huge, very very big, but why until midnight? What happens at midnight?"
Before the prince could answer all the questions Sirena asked, the girl couldn't help but getting on top of him grabbing his face with both hands and looking at his tongue, there was something shiny on his tongue that captured the girl's attention as he spoke, curtains of wet hair with sea water drops fell on the prince's face as Sirena examined his mouth.
"What is that glistening there? On yer tongue, is it a jewel? A diamond? My daddy Ulysses has those, why does it sparkle?" she mumbled to herself tilting her head to both sides with a frown and pouting her lips "Is it painful? I want one!"

"Selene, I... I had no idea," he was aghast upon hearing that her transformation brought such deep pain. And she did this every single time? His own pain seemed like nothing in comparison, for her decision to have legs just to be in the same place he was made him feel guilty and deepen his affection for her.
"My darling Selene! I am so sorry I- if I had known, I wouldn't have been so adamant about... I would not have insisted so many times for you to visit me in your human form. Your legs give you so much pain and I am sure there is some way to counter it. Maybe a spell that can help you not feel any pain at all?"
But that was all beyond his understanding. The only person whom he knew could change forms was Odile. The only one whom Maverick found approachable, at least. The only issue was the last time he saw Odile, she warned him to be away from her. And he didn't think Selene was fond of talking to any other fae that was not well... him.
"You have such a beautiful smile, I thought you should know that," he complimented, focusing on her lips and away from those hypnotizing eyes, and he gravitated closer. "You don't have to do anything, you can just be with me. Look after me so my enemies don't try to hurt me in that vulnerable state. And I promise not to hide from you anymore."
Soon, he will tell her another secret that has been pressing at him, but one at a time.
"I love you too Selene, I cannot recall if I ever said it but, I think you should know that. Scales, fangs, your claws, whatever form you show yourself, I think it's hard to imagine my life without you now. I have never fallen in love before so... please be gentle with my heart?"
"You'll be proud to hear- I stopped ingesting my mushrooms. I know you don't like that I do it. I've been having such good progress."
@mere-lullaby
The Siren could hear Maverick's pain through the words of his explanation, she listened attentively with curious eyes and parted lips, watching every movement of the prince's lips, registering every word, trying to understand emotions that although human, were alien to her, such as the shame he felt for his horns.
Or so it seemed.
Sirena could only compare his pain to what she felt when she transformed from siren to human. She never tells anyone how much it hurts when her legs fuse together and scales starts growing of her skin every time she touches the waters.
She tries to brush it off or swallow the pain but at least Maverick is braver, he talks about it.
Sirena used her imagination as best she could to try to understand exactly what Maverick was referring to. Her eyes now traveled up Maverick's forehead to his head trying to picture his horns, how curious, she thought he would look even more beautiful.
"I, know about pain, my legs feel like I'm stepping on millions of broken glass when I step, for at least two hours after my transformation." Sirena confessed trying to let him know that she understood.
When Maverick looked away, she touched the prince's chin tenderly and made him turn towards her so he could look at her and get lost in her ocean blue eyes "Don't hide from me, bring yourself to me, always, in any form, winged, horned, as a dragon, as... y'are, I will love ya always..." For the first time a sweet smile and not threatening graced her features. "So tell me, dark prince, how can I help ya when ya go through this... process?"

"This is for me?" Maverick looked around the shiny objects, even reaching for the coins and pearls that still held moisture, giving away that they were clearly from the depths of the ocean. How heavy must all this be, he wondered. Could his siren have struggled in attempts to get this for him? It was such a significant gesture.
"I have no need for riches, I don't carry greed within me, nor am I looking to buffer my stockpile. But you still got it for me because you've probably seen how much I like to stare at shiny things. It's the effort you made to make me happy that matters the most to me. How you perceive me is everything to me, now."
He noticed a shy, almost softer Sirena now, and when she admitted she loved him, his heart sung for her. "I love you too. I'll call for the attendants to take this back-"
No need, for a handful of the Fae Councilmen were all salivating for the new riches that the siren has acquired. Quite suddenly, she was more accepted than she had been in the last few months. Even the complaints of how she dirtied up the palace ceased.
Maverick was the first to notice, and he internally rolled his eyes at their greed. Deciding not to focus too much on them, he reached for one of the jewels, an ornate necklace with silver and purple gemstone details and placed it on her.
"This one looks really nice on you," he spoke, still at the beach while a horde was disappearing behind them, taking the various treasures into the palace. "Sirena, let's go for a walk, I want us to visit our little nest, away from the palace. Just you and me, if that is okay?"
@mere-lullaby
The siren continues to pull the prince's arm, giggling and chanting but without telling him why she needs him so urgently.
She leads him running to the shore where a treasure chest awaits. Sirena runs to the chest and kneels down in front of it, finally manages to open it, revealing its contents.
That was a surprise she had for Maverick, it was full of gold coins, pearls and jewels.
The sea maiden looks at the dark prince with a big smile showing her sharp teeth and gleaming ocean blue eyes.
"It's for ya!!! Take it! I brought it from the bottom of the sea, it's.... For ya, my gargoyle!" She wanted to say that it was a gift but sometimes the gentle words got stuck in her throat.
“I…” Sirena lowered her head looking shy, vulnerable and insecure for the first time in front of the prince “Just… I— I love ya…”

What was Selene trying to do? Maverick knew she was saying the right words to make him angry, because the accusations coming from anyone else would have made him growl and press his claw-like hands over their chest in a threatening manner. But instead, he was only blinking and looking at her like he was the most innocent creature. When his siren told him these things, these words meant to instigate, all he can think about was how cute she looked saying them.
Right, his fiancé. That was a whole different matter and he called off the engagement, but for some reason no one seemed to be taking him seriously. He didn't want to yell at the Fae Council, given they were much older and beings of high standing. Maverick had always respected his elders, and had trouble disobeying. He was stressed out from always having to prove himself to them, so when he told Calico he did not want to go on with the engagement, he was told that he didn't have to be so worried, and then he was given one task after another. Tasks such as, tallying the grains that the farming fae grew this year, amounting the treasury, and sighing endless documents. It made him sleepy, and when he was done, he was too tired to do anything else. He rested his head in his office's table, and then dozed off in seconds.
The first stage of rebelling was all he did this last week, which was stay in his room and barely left it. There was no care for the tasks given by the council, and that was alarming for them. Already, there was talk, that this siren that the prince was seeing was a bad role model. Only Odile knew that he was suffering an ailment of the heart.
Now, he was not only rebellious, but infuriated. He was not only biting, but also scratching into her, her moans driving him to do so even more. When she instigated him, he replied with a snarl, "maybe that's what you deserve, a lesson..."
She was singing, and he was soothed immediately. Now and then, he would wonder how she wounded when she sung, only having heard it once before- when they first met. Even that lasted for a few seconds, so he was left unsated. But then she looked at him in a way that felt like something was off.
"Ohh- you wanted to use your powers to control me, is it?" Maverick teased, caressing her lip with his finger in order to part them. "Maybe it doesn't work on me. Does that upset you? Knowing that you cannot manipulate me in the way you wanted to?"
He sat up from the bed, looking around his disheveled room. Not a single servant was allowed inside, so it remained a mess. "My first order of business should be to wash up. You're coming with me," he spoke, and stood up and attempted to place Selene over his shoulders. "You will be bathing with me, trying my soaps and oils and fragrances. I'm not letting you go soon- you're trapped!" He laughed in a lighthearted manner that is rarely presented by the prince.
"Sing for me, again. Maybe it'll work a second time?" He suggested between him warming the waters with a steady stream of his own fire breath. In truth, he wanted to hear his beautiful siren sing again, for the sound of her voice was moving, creating magic in him in an unexpected way. He was sure he was falling in love with her even more.
@mere-lullaby
Sirena did not expect such a quick reaction from the prince, in fact she thought she would annoy him much more, but in a quick movement, suddenly she was under him, with all her hair on her face, excited, breathing rapidly, no one ever could make her feel like Maverick did, no one could provoke this kind of reaction in her.
But Sirena was not going to let herself be defeated so easily, she had come here with a goal, to remind Maverick who he was, to get him out of that depressive and desperate state that Odile told her he was.
And to her surprise, it seemed to be working, maybe the prince just needed to have her around him to be himself.
"Ha, I thought ya already considered yerself a king, matey... And ya should, what are ya waiting for??" Sirena inquired struggling to get out of his grip "Ya have a little time left, before y'are crowned and marry yer pretty and sweet fairy fiancée..." The sea creature huffed and rolled her eyes, it sickened her to think of Maverick with someone else.
“Let me go! I just came by to make sure ya weren't dead in yer bed or something! Let go of me ya traitor! Ya change me for the first royal fairy that they put on yer way!!” At what point this was turning into a jealous rage on Sirena's part? Everything she didn't tell him on the bridge that day was being unloaded now.
She wanted to scratch him. She wanted to make him beg for his life. She wanted to consume him. She wanted to make him regret for breaking her heart. But also wanted to kiss him, love him, take care of him, sleep with him every night, and wake up every day by his side, no matter how much her heart bled now or how much jealousy leaked from her pores.
"I'm not a fish, ya damn treacherous lizard!!" She kept trying to move under his grip like a fish out of water, he was getting loud and so did she, yet the arousal in her voice and her shaky breathing from the position they were in, gave away how turned on she was.
And she thought she could resist until Maverick's sharp teeth pressed against the skin of her neck, and her shoulder, and for all the seven seas, she wanted to feel the dragon's breath between her legs now.
With a moan of pleasure and pain, Sirena began to calm down. “Ya shouldn't be in this position with me, ya know? Wouldn't ya like to piss off yer sweet little fairy who doesn't make ya hard like I do, doesn't make you want to fuck her like I do, right? King? Do ya want me to behave better? Do ya want to teach me a lesson is that?...” Sirena's voice became sensual, alluring, charming, she was using her Siren's tricks on him, and she would try to immobilize him.
So she began to sing a beautiful song under him, her beautiful voice resounded on the walls and made the crystals of the large windows of the room vibrate. The swell of the sea outside the palace intensified, her chants were as beautiful as the tales said; but suddenly the Siren noticed that something was wrong.
Maverick seemed totally immune to her song.
"By the beards of Neptune, why is nothing happening to ya?!" She asked visibly frustrated, as she stopped singing.
