ilsu never really understood why that soft hum from the van and the settle bounce that pumped through the vehicle always felt so soothing. it could’ve been the tinted windows that served as the icing on top- but either way, sitting in the drivers seat her stress felt like it was at peace. this might’ve been her practice for when she ever settles. she could see it now, her children safe inside at home and before she joins the jungle- a moment for herself in a space just like this. ilsu humored herself with that one. already, since she’s entered this side of the industry she’s felt like a mother- not that she entirely understands to sentiment from experience. she just knows it feels that way. the way her heart swells at every comeback, melts at every interview with pride- it all stems from where they started. And sitting in their company van in the hotel parking, listening to the faint and comforting roar of the engine really helped her set that thought in. it was hard for her not to feel sentimental. 

already, she’d been sitting there for ten minutes. just letting her mind wander. sulli didn’t even notice that she’d gotten texts from kai himself- probably asking why she hadn’t come up yet. that promise that she’d be right up was soiled, and she was too distracted to remember. @thatsohkai​
