"Well, if it helps, I don't hang around Idiots." He said with a smile. "So that proves you're not one." He chuckled, trying to makde her smile.

He lent in and kissed her forehead lightly. "They are not worth it. Why would you want to be friends, or around someone who does that?" He asked.

He moved his hands from her cheeks and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a hug, and kissing the top of her head. "You've got me. You don't need them."

She let out a breath, resisting the desire to lean against him, hide her face as she blinked back stubborn tears that she did not want to fall.

"I'm just really tired of it being used against me." Nova whispered, her hands moving to gently clasp his wrists. "I don't feel incredible. I feel like an idiot. I opened up to someone and they just turned around and used it to hurt me."
