Tadgh listened to her with eager ears, rarely satisfied in silence if he could listen to Selene’s wild accent, acutely aware of the pain that came with its absence. His eyes stayed on her as he watched her move with grace out of his workshop, the tug of her fingers on his leading him into the light that could never warm her as much as her presence could. “Aye, I could recite a poem and delay all progress of a day, but we really should eat... and maybe plan the trip to Dublin.” With his gaze flitting to her stomach he double stepped to catch up to her, wrapping his arm around her waist and spreading his fingers wide, palm pressed to the swell of her belly. “I say this in the highest hopes that we’ll end up in the kitchen with food in the oven and you on the counter, me on my knees, and the house full of your perfect voice saying my name.��� He placed a teasing kiss to her neck, incapable of ever getting his fill of her, and he chuckled into the curve of her neck- a sound that anyone that knew him in her absence from his life would’ve deemed impossible.

Thread Tracker
