He looked for her as soon as he got off the phone. He'd gone on the roof for some privacy, but... He regretted it. Zen did not have anything to hide, even the fact that his parents most likely will never accept him. Nevertheless, he still hoped. And hoped. And made her wait.

Surely being their  s o n  counted ? Wasn’t there love left, somewhere in their heart ?

He found MC in the kitchen and sank down on a chair. He was defeated to be honest, but he tried to stay positive for the both of them. She had taught him to see the brighter side of things -- maybe the time to use this skill was when life hurt him the most.

“Hey... I just called my parents.”

He sighed, yet smiled apologetically. MC was so patient with him and he constantly felt guilty that she had to put up with his drama. 

“They told me to come when I’ll have a real job...”

I can’t deny that this hurts like hell. Maybe I should give up on them... No matter what, it won’t ever be good enough. They’ll only be satisfied when I’ll become some Jumin guy, and it’s not me -- it’s never been me.

“I’m sorry you have to put up with this... Maybe they just don’t love me, I think I should just give up.”

There he was, running his mouth again when she already had so much to deal with. I should just shut up.

“Sorry -- you’re here with me and all I do is complain.”

“You are ridiculously comfortable…”

     “Do you mean you’re ridiculously comfortable?” God, the amount of times he wished he could actually say ‘lolol’ out loud, too many to count. Especially when he was with her like this. “You look it. I’m glad my uses have extended to ‘really good pillow.’” Though he couldn’t complain - the gentle weight of her against his chest was a comfort he didn’t know if he could live without anymore, now that he had it. Seven threaded his fingers languidly through her hair, a gentle rhythm only interrupted by a few gentle twists here and there. It didn’t quite tangle, fell like liquid back against her shoulders and it fascinated him. @partycoordinator

Favourite muse(s) you’ve written: zen is easily up there. i also really loved writing mello from death note and one of my ocs, jason. while i haven’t been consistently active, sailor star healer is another. and of course, otabek altin and my oc io, both of whom i’m currently writing, too!

What inspired you to take on your current muse (that you are posting this on): this is?? kind of a long story?? but to keep it brief, i had taken a break from otome and dating sim games right before mystic messenger came out ( i had been rather disappointed in the ones i had played recently at the time ). i ended up downloading it because i was feeling stressed and wanted to see the hype. even though i didn’t know the recommended route order, i fell in love with zen immediately. i was hesitant to actually come to the rp fandom because new fandoms are terrifying, but i’m so glad i did!

What are your favorite aspects of your current muse: honestly? how much zen has made me grow as a writer. i’ve never written a character like him before, and he’s really pushed me in ways not many of my other muses have. as for who he is as a character, that’s almost too difficult! but one of my favorites is just how hard he works to learn to love himself. in spite of everything he’s been through and the abuse he suffered as a child, he’s trying to come to terms with who he is and understand that he’s worthwhile, and i think that’s really beautiful.

What’s your biggest inspiration when it comes to writing: zen alone is a huge inspiration to me when writing, tbh! reading other writers helps, too. i’m really into gillian flynn at the moment, because i like the way she writes dialogue; i find it very interesting. and replaying the game! i’ve played zen’s route so many times and screenshot the entire thing for reference purposes...haha.

Favourite types of threads: i really like fluff threads, but ones that lead to character development, if that makes sense?

The biggest struggle in regards to your current muse: probably the balance between his outer confidence and the insecurity he carries around inside. i always want to make sure i’m portraying that correctly, because it’s a fine line. and just my own anxiety about portraying zen to the best of my ability, if we’re being honest with each other!!!

I’m in such shock right now, I seriously can’t explain! I’ve told this story probably a million times by now, but when I first made this blog, I was so nervous about my portrayal. I adore Zen so much as a character, and I was terrified that I wouldn’t do him justice. The fact that I’m still here six months later and with all of you wonderful people following me blows my mind. I want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I’ve written with some incredibly talented people, admired others from afar, and just felt grateful in general for all of the support I’ve received here. There are just a few people I want to give special shout-outs to for supporting me, and a bunch of people I want to appreciate for being so wonderful to see on my dash!

@lizziethethird: Mykie — Zenzabeth has taken over my life, and I’m honestly ridiculously happy about it. You are a beautiful writer, a great person, and someone I’m so lucky to call my friend. Headcanons:

Jaehee’s coffeeshop ends up quite popular. C&R employees frequent it both to see her and out of curiosity to see what happened to the Chief Assistant. Yoosung had brought a lot of his college friends to it. Zen brings fellow actors to it, and his own fans like to go, in hopes of seeing him there as he likes to stop by.

Zen memrobelia is on the walls, although tastefully so.

Jaehee has a wall where she has autographs of famous people that have come by.

V’s artwork is also often on the walls of the coffeeshop

Jumin and Jaehee do end up back on good terms, although it takes some time.
