Wren scoffed, "I don't want to have to explain or tell you how to be a dad." She said ignoring his earlier admittance. "You want to be a dad, great, come be a dad. Live in the guest room, and be a dad." she didn't know what she was saying until it had left her lips. "Hold her when she cries, feed her, change the diapers, be here then." A part of her didn't think he'd do it. He says he's willing to come back, though he's said things with similar weight before. "If you want to come back and do this, then do it, but don't ask me to teach you how." She was exhausted and didn't want to raise another human.
Her outburst had him speechless. Jackson hadn't wanted to force himself into Wren's life. As far as he knew, she hated him. If this was before he'd left, he would have taken her in his arms and asked what she needed from him. The only problem is, he doubted he would have followed through with what she needed. Now, he actually would follow through but he didn't know how to ask. "Wren, I do think about you. I think about you all the goddamned time. But I didn't think you'd want to hear it."

you are cordially invited to a good ol' fashioned Valentine's Day Hoedown! an event for couples and singles to get together and just have fun and perhaps forget our struggles for a little while. there will be square dancing, line dancing, and swing dancing, as well as some more modern music picks for the young ones.
food and drink will be available, as well as a cake walk, a pie eating contest and jam contest. we will have a haystack for photos, and a caricature artist.
in the spirit of the holiday, we have pre-paired individuals together for the night with matching numbered wristbands. perhaps sparks will fly?
we plan to be out of the dance hall by 5pm, plenty of time to get home before dusk.
((the event will start on feb 10th at 10am est. please tag your event starters with "huntsvilleevent01." you can post your muses' outfits starting now with the tag "huntsvilleattire." the event will last until feb 24th, with the plot drop occurring on feb 17th, giving everyone enough time to react.
you can see the paired muses below. the numbers of the list indicate what numbers are on the wristbands. you can have event threads with anyone/everyone but please have a thread with your pair. if anyone wishes to withdrawal from your pairing, please let us know before the event start so we can pair your partner with someone else.))

"No, you agreed not to do it." She replied in a harsh and whispered tone. As he began his speech, Wren felt herself deflate, and began to roll her eyes out of pure habit. She'd stood up a little straighter simply in shock as he cut himself off simply to warn her against it. Again, hates him for knowing her so well. "For the love of god, Chase, you are overreacting." she turned her body towards the monitor promptly attempting to ignore him.
"He'll be on camera for forty-five seconds, we don't need to do any of that crap it won't matter." she argued. "That feeling is knowing we're about to get good TV. We're about to get ratings that will keep us going another three seasons, don't be a coward and hide behind 'a bad feeling' crap."
Staring into a set of eyes that carried so much hatred in them wouldn't usually turn her on, though Chase was different. He's always been different. They were like fire and dynamite. Every season she promises herself she'll be clean of him, but that promise gets broken by week 3. Moments like these, where she knew if they were alone, clothes would be off in a moments notice. "You want the ratings to get us another season or two? Then help me instead of stopping me."
“For fuck's sake, Wren!”
He raised his fist, held it mid-air, then froze in this position, bowing his head. His eyes closed, his jaws clenched, he inhaled, opened his fist and exhaled.
“We talked about this. We agreed to not do it,” he had lowered his voice, speaking between clenched teeth as he came closer. Leaning down to her face he whispered though no one was close enough to hear them. It wasn’t that he was above such tricks, he’d done worse last season, they both had. But with the network threatening to cancel after this season, they had to be extra careful.
“That guy is a fucking psycho. You saw the interview. He said he was gonna cut any guy's throat who dared to touch her. – Don’t roll your eyes at me!” His voice suddenly loud. He frowned. “You don’t know if it's only talk. Have you done the background check? I swear I’m having a bad feeling…”
And yet, he couldn’t deny that he felt it too, the thrill, the excitement, the chance to do something extraordinary. When looking at her, Chase saw how nervous she was, but also how she was vibrating with that excitement. And, fuck, it was damn hot.

2018 BAFTA Nominations Introduced
New Post has been published on https://takenews.net/2018-bafta-nominations-introduced/
2018 BAFTA Nominations Introduced
The nominations for this yr’s BAFTAs have been introduced, with Guillermo Del Toro’s The Form Of Water main the pack. The monster-romance seems in a dozen classes forward of Darkest Hour and present awards season darling Three Billboards Exterior Ebbing, Missouri, which each rack up 9. Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk is simply behind with eight, as is Blade Runner 2049. Denis Villeneuve’s sequel is clearly being thought of a creative success, if not a box-office hit. There’s nonetheless nothing for The Submit although, following its comparable snubbing by the Golden Globes.
After twelve years, the BAFTA ceremony this yr could have a brand new presenter: Joanna Lumley is taking up from Stephen Fry. She’ll be saying the winners on the Royal Albert Corridor on Sunday 18 February. The complete record of nominations follows.

Wren had been nervous for this moment, standing near him now those same nerves weren't nothing. The same Scottish accent, the same hair, her heart was beating again remembering all these feelings from years ago. "No, well, actually. Yes, technically I was married, but it didn't last very long." She chuckled. "How long are you back in town for?"

It was really nice to see them again after so many years. It was easy to fall out of touch with people, but weddings were always lovely affairs to see familiar faces. "No, nowhere near marriage myself, sadly." He mused with his light Scottish lilt. "Not for want of trying, but just how it all works out, I suppose. And what about yourself?"

Wren scoffed shaking her head, feeling so frustrated and hurt that he can't see it. "You could think about me." She retorted, "For once in your goddamn life, you could think about me." She pressed the heels of her palm on her forehead for a second, "All you've suggested is how you can support her, and be there for her. What does that look like to you?" She asked pointedly, "Because here's the reality Jackson. Our daughter isn't who needs support, it's me. I'm the one waking up in the middle of the night when she cries, I'm the one who feeds her when she's hungry, I'm the only reason our daughter is still alive and well with every passing day. The fact that I'm explaining this to you is just..." Wren shook her head before, turning her back to him to take a minute to compose herself.
"Hey, I'm fucking trying here, okay?" Jackson pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to control his temper. "You don't think she's gonna ask about me when she's older? How are you gonna explain it if the reason I'm not in her life is because you wouldn't let me, not because I didn't want to be?" Running a hand through his hair, he paused to gather his thoughts. "I've apologized. I've made an attempt. I agreed to do this on your terms without even hearing what those are. If you say no, I don't know what else I can fucking do, Wren."

If there was anything she hated most, was how well Chase knew her and could somehow read her mind. Wren watched the suitor smile and laugh with one of the cast members. Feeling Chase this close always activated something inside her, she often swallowed it down, since every time she gives into that feeling it gets one of them into trouble, or both. "It's good TV and you know it." it may cross a line or two, but it needed to be done. Her assistant had run off set to pick up the 'the one that got away' ex-boyfriend of the girl who was sitting across from their suitor. "She's not the main wifey, and if she's truly wanting Tristan then she'll stay. It's a win-win and you know it. You just didn't have the balls to do it." She insulted as she attempted to walk away from him hoping she could get herself out of a lecture.
Arms folded in front of his chest, one hand holding paper cup with lukewarm coffee in one hand, Chase stood next to her, while she sat in front of the monitors. He didn’t need to be here but as co-producer he liked to keep an eye on things. And right now it seemed that it was more important to keep an eye on her. Gwen seemed particularly nervous tonight.
Chase frowned at her words. “You tell me. The fuck is going on with you today?”
He leaned down, bringing their faces close, both looking at monitors. – If anyone came by, they'd think the two were just discussing the on screen events. He whispered even though no one was close enough to hear them; her assistant had left to run an errand five minutes ago.
“Is this about Taylor? Don’t tell me you made that call…”

Wren shook her head feeling really emotional, because being a single mom has been so hard and she'd needed him desperately but he wasn't there. He was out drinking, disappearing for days at a time on a bender, she had to figure it out on her own. "You can be there for her? Oh that's great. Really glad that you'll be there for her." She returned sarcastically, feeling incredibly excluded from his thought process. "She's barely out of diapers, can't even speak, doesn't know you, but please, be there for her." Wren was really heartbroken, "Fuck you Jackson."
"That's what I want to be." Jackson was getting frustrated, but he understood her hesitation. If the roles were reversed, he'd probably be pushing back, too. "As long as she wants me around." He sighed. "Probably the same thing I'm planning on doing when this conversation is done, Wren. Breathe through it and then call my fucking sponsor." Was it the best plan? Probably not, but this was all new territory for him. "I know I'm not going to be a perfect dad, but I can be there for her." For Wren. If she'd let him.

Staring at Jackson she realized there isn't anything he could say to make her feel better about how he left. She could wish he simply told her he needed to get clean, but he didn't. She could wish he trusted her enough to talk to her, but he didn't. Nothing would change the six months of pain she went through. "And that's-" Wren stopped to clear her throat from all the emotion pent up, "And that's you now? Sober and ready?" she asked. "A dad she can count on, not for the next few weeks or months, but for the rest of her life?" She crossed her arms, "What are you going to do when it gets tough and you get the strong urge to drink again? What are you going to do when you're up the entire night cradling her when she's sick, or crying with a fever, or refusing to sleep from a nightmare and all you'll want is a drink to relax you. What then? What's your plan to keep you sober?"
"I could have stayed and been a shitty dad. Would that have been better for her?" Of course Wren was one of the best things to ever happen to him. Jackson had given up hope that thing with Wren could be fixed. He felt destined to love someone who would never love him back. Maybe eventually, they could work towards being friends, or at least towards being civil towards each other for their daughter's sake. "I wasn't ready to raise that little girl. I had to fix my shit. She deserves a dad who's going to be here. And be sober."

"Oh god," Wren half laughed, "You're relentless." she shook her head. "Jackson," she said more firmly. "You do not want this." she informed him. "You left two years ago, because you didn't want this. You're in the honeymoon phase of being a dad." It's been a few weeks since he's come back into his four year old daughters life.

"I don't know how to make you believe that I can make us work again, but I'm not going to give up. I did that once and--well, I'm standing here again because it was the wrong choice. Give us another chance."
