"Finished? It'll never be finished. A battle isn't like some stupid argument. As long as someone's still breathing, the fight isn't over."
I love this man. I was rewatching some of his best fights and I'm so excited to see the next TYBW series with more fights to come! Blood, Guts and Gore are all in this mans resume! 🤘 Side note; I'm trying to work on dramatic poses to make my art more interesting, I'm also trying to practice backgrounds too. Hopefully you all love this as much as I do! 🤩

What if AU where the Sternritter were the ones who approached a powerless Ichigo with the promise of regaining his powers.
The Soul Society was heavily weakened after the war with Aizen and with one of their Special War Powers now powerless, discreetly striking at them by bringing Ichigo to their side or taking him out so he wouldn't be a problem in the future would be a huge hit to them.
Ichigo, who was very skeptical of the offer but was desperate enough for power that he agreed. Ichigo, who realized that his father was a Shinigami so the only possible way that he could be a Quincy was if his mom was one. But how could she have been taken out so easily by a hollow like Grandfisher? Had she lost her powers like his father had?
Mind weighed down by these questions, Ichigo finally decided to ask his dad about the whole thing. Isshin, as usual, was cagey about it but did cave after Ichigo pressed him. That's when Ichigo learned that his mom hadn't lost her powers the same way his dad did but rather, she lost them right as she was fighting Grandfisher, taken from her. Isshin didn't reveal by who, even when Ichigo asked, apparently done with being truthful.
Ichigo, at this point, has been around whichever Sternritter had approached him for a decent amount of time. So he asks them about it and they tell him, using his reaction to gauge whether or not he would be a threat to take out or a useful ally. Ichigo didn't react, not until he was sure he was on his own.
And there in the rain, alone at the riverbank where his mother died, he made a promise to himself. A promise he would fulfill no matter what.
He would kill Yhwach himself.

“It is the nature of all living things to find some being greater than themselves and place their trust in that being, following it blindly. In order to escape from the pressure of that trust, those beings seek a still greater entity in which to believe, and those greater beings too seek still greater, still stronger beings to follow. This is how all kings come to be, and this is how all Gods are born. Do not trust in me yet, Hirako Shinji. I will take my time to teach you the nature of the God whom you face. Then, you shall believe.„~ Aizen's philosophy on godhood ~

What if it was a temporary fix when Ichigo was given his powers back? Final Getsuga Tensho irreparably broke his soul and the Reiatsu given to him is pouring out of him. Getting stronger helps Ichigo hold on for longer, but he knows that soon he’ll be just as weak and powerless as he had been after the Winter War. Would his friends abandon him again? Could he survive losing his powers again with his humanity intact because it's not just Reiatsu he's losing but also Zangetsu and his very soul?
He has enough power to defeat Yhwach in the Thousand-Year Blood War but in the moments after, he’s got the only Soul Reaper strong enough to kill him at his current power level nearby. Does he want the slow agonising torture of living the rest of his life without his soul, without Zangetsu?
