thinkign about odile with fangies,,

au where odile is a vampire and siffrin "donates blood" for money (classic occupation for someone lonely and hopeless) and siffrin says something funny while woozily recovering and odile did NOT expect that from him and laughs and siffrin is like. oh fuck yes i'm getting a good grade in being vampire food.

it's not even a purposeful dumb joke he's just a little out of it and saying things. which odile usually gets annoyed when people go all no-filter and say things to her that she is not interested in hearing or god forbid having to respond to. but siffrin is just being cute and earnest and still not too chatty!

and then siffrin is like I MADE HER LSUGH I HAVE TO KEEP BEING FUNNY and his actual attempts at jokes are so weak that they wrap back around to being entertaining. odiles like mhm im sure there was a joke in there somewhere maybe try again in twenty minutes.

they're going through an agency at first, but odile gets annoyed at how large of a cut the agency takes, but it's easier and safer than trying to arrange something with a stranger independently. but she really likes siffrin so after a couple times she's like. no pressure but if you'd rather get paid a little more we could just continue doing this informally. and siffrin is like YES PLEASE bc they really need the money and they like odile too!

but then siffrin starts donating too much blood bc he's still going through the agency as often as allowed And going to odile independently. it's pretty obvious pretty quickly though, and as soon as she catches on odile lectures them and says she won't keep doing this if siffrin won't take care of themself, and siffrin gets all sad (<- hates to be rejected) and is like oh.. ok.. guess i'll leave... and odile is like oh my god no you still have to drink your orange juice first and you should not have even driven HERE in the first place. *i* will drive you home. which has siffrin all ?? bc wow mixed messages (<- has never been cared about before). but odile finds out that siffrin lives in the shittiest apartment ever and is always this close away from getting evicted and long story short siffrin ends up moving in with odile.

odile is like. well. this is kind of a problematic setup but definitely better than the alternative.

And they so are fucked up third thing, and you’re so right about Loop trying to kill Siffrin immediately making their relationship queer, in both the weird and fruity sense. The opposite of love is indifference and all that. In my view of them they do hold hands but also bite each other, they’re so cat coded I can’t help but see them interacting with that in mind

I too like tag rambling, tho it has the disadvantage of the words in it often getting lost, which I don’t like, specially for my own posts, I tend to put so many tidbits there!! And most people don’t see it!! Which is exactly why I like to add the og tags then add <prev tags at the end of it, then add my own, when reblogging

I’m so glad you liked being perceived, there are many reblogs I want to but don’t reply to because I’m both unsure how the person feels about it and feel weird responding to it through reblogging. And yeah! There are many things I go “hmm, not really my thing (or in the case of this art specifically not really the idea I had for it), but I known it’s other people’s and I hope they have fun with it” (such as clothes with deep neck cuts) or “hmm, wouldn’t have thought of it myself and won’t really add it to my hoard but it’s in yours and I love what you’re making with it” (such as romantic Sifdile, it’s something I see the appeal of and liked I lot of work with it, but don’t really add to my good ol headcanon pile). I also like easing peoples doubts, I know I myself have wondered “oh is it okay to interpret this thing as this? Is it okay to do [—]?” It also sets a precedent and boundaries of sorts for how people interact with my work, maybe in the future I’ll go “don’t tag as [X] or do [Y]”! Tho I think thats more likely to happen to work of my own OCs and that I make for other fandoms considering what I’ve observed of this one so far

writing any kind of sifdile meet cute is so hard bc siffrin is shy and odile is anti-social. these bitches would NOT start chatting in a coffee shop. in one of my aus i had to hit siffrin with a car in front of odile so they'd be forced to spend the next several hours together as she took them to the hospital

anyway the lore in my mind palace is that siffrin has a big meaningless crush on odile - they get flustered by how much they like her, but it's not something they'd think about as a romantic potential, it's just normal social nerves and clingy impulses but sweeter.

and then post-canon loop is like . i need to crawl inside someone and die like a bug, but it can't be siffrin bc he'd get all emo about it and it can't be isabeau bc absolutely not and it can't be mira bc i can't do that to her. but luckily that leaves one person. who i've always rly liked but siffrin would never consider an option. and she also won't cry all over me. odile can i sleep on the floor in your bedroom and bring you trinkets like a cat brings home dead birds

my favorite flavor of sifdile personally is sasasap sifdile for a variety of reasons that exist solely in my mind but also because I need to get my doomed yuri fix somehow

see i love a good sap!frin/dile, but to me it's a type of loopdile... it just hasn't been cooked yet so it has its own unique doomed yuri flavor profile, but it's the base of the whole loopdile recipe! gotta steal a few bites while the oven preheats for sure

there's some good interactions in sasasap! and i feel like her aloof practicality would get more and more appealing the longer sap!frin is stuck in the loops, as opposed to the others' energetic determination that he knows won't pan out, yknow.

whenever i think about canon-compliant loopdile i put a lot of consideration into the juxtaposition with isafrin and exactly why loop chose not to be part of that, or at least to not be committed in the same way, and how this affects the party dynamics as a whole

okay you mentjoned the precanon sifdile again that reminded me last tine you mentiined that i had a ton of thoughts its!!!!!!! like it literally could have happened. and siffrin doesnt remember. and odile either doesnt remember or is just like oh haha funny coicidence if they bring it up we can talk about it otherwise ill assume they just wanna act like it didnt happen. and it drvies me insane . like to become so different as to meet again later and potentianlly not recognize eachother to look at all these small things they do and wonder if the other used to do them or if its new habits or if you just didnt get a chance to see that its so. so.

yeah 😭😭😭😭 siffrin is so distinctive that i think odile would definitely remember him, but ofc she wouldn’t say anything about it! if sif wants to act like they’ve never met she’s fine with playing along, it’s not like she’d exactly want an emotional conversation about it either.

but then as she gets to know them more it’s like wait… they might just genuinely not remember…. but at that point it’s like. kinda too late to bring it up? and it would just make things awkward anyway?? but also now the pretending they’d never met feels disingenuous, it’s not fair that she learned things about them during their first meeting that they wouldn’t have chosen to share with her now, while they don’t even remember that they’ve met her!!

ofc my ideal daydream pre-pre-canon sifdile scenario is that they just keep traveling together “haha funny coincidence i was heading that way too” style and eventually join up with mirabelle and isabeau as a pair. but having basically a one night stand (except platonic except not platonic) and then running into each other half a year later is soo juicy

I really like isafrin, but I also like your sifdile posts. And then I thought it would be very funny if siffrin and loop get a crush on isabeau and odile respectively (or the reverse) but don't do anything bc they assume loop/siffrin has the same feelings and they would feel like a horrible person for taking the others crush (horrible communication and martyr complex strikes again)

hjsdgfjsdf real. siffrin's like "i already won, it would be so unfair of me to get everything, i can't swap places with loop entirely but i could let this one thing be just theirs instead of mine!! i don't mind, i just want them to be happy." meanwhile loop is like "i already tried to take stardust's family and i am not trying again!!! they get everything they want and that's just how it is!! ofc, not like there's any chance that anyone would want to be with me when they could be with the real siffrin. but i couldn't bear the pathetic faces stardust would make either way!"

if ISAT was adapted for an alternian audience it would be marketed as a love-triangle-style pale romcom

isa is trying to confess flushed, but in the end he can't do it bc he's too concerned about sif being upset and wants to help them feel better... pale feelings sneaking up on him just bc that's what sif needs rn... and sif gets so frustrated that they also flip caliginous on him for a moment? vacillation city.

odile obviously thinks siffrin needs a good feelings jam but she can't figure out what it is he needs to jam about! and then once she does, siffrin freaks out about her pale overtures bc he can't be vulnerable like that right now and loops back.

mirabelle is the more subtle steady presence, instead of making it a whole thing she just. talks to them about how she's feeling, and they seem to reciprocate..? but she doesn't realize yet how much siffrin needs her to be the conciliating party.

sifloop are all over the map, as opposed to isafrin's flipping sifloop are just smearing quadrants left and right. but none of it is really working. loop hates siffrin too much to conciliate him, but pities him too much to be caliginous! but since they have the most info, they manage some pitch-tinted pale moments.

and then act 5 happens, and they all work together to conciliate siffrin down from his rampage!! how deviant and hedonistic!!!

but then mirabelle is the one who actually goes "hey bottling up all your feelings made you lose it, next time talk to me before it gets to that point?" so endgame is siffrin<>mirabelle. and now that siffrin is pacified they can settle into <3 with isabeau. and then obviously a relationship as volatile as sifloop needs a stabilizing influence so odile goes c3< with them, which is also a better fit for her harsher methods of conciliation. and at this point why not get every quadrant filled, maybe they go <3< with euphrasie after all those loops of building hatred but also building respect but also oh my god you were so close to helping but you fucked it up worse. yay serendipity!

obviously this is ignoring ISAT's themes of like. fuck labels, we just care about each other. but ofc an alternian adaptation would ignore those themes, teehee.
