On a sillier note: the TVL descriptions of Armand's beauty are so numerous and long that TVA feels like nothing lmao (at least based on the 14 chapters I've read). It's so ridiculous it gets to the point they're fighting and I KID YOU NOT Lestat is like "I offered him my hand and helped him get up idk why bro maybe because he was so beautiful 🤷‍♀️". I feel like people drool more over him than Lestat himself lmao. Also there's a moment on Memnoch that is so ridiculously adorable it warmed my heart hehe.

omg all anyone does in TVA is say how beautiful armand is and like we get it!! he's so beautiful!! he's a Botticelli angel!! (and after the bridge of sighs that kind of goes away because the plot is more introspective and that's all the spoiler I'm giving lol)

i am sooooooo ready to read TVL after reading TVA!! i have qotd already (had to read the devil's minion chapter lol but that's all i've read) so after TVL, qotd is up next!!

Btw, I meant the books and the show. I thought one thing and typed another because I'm so sleepy lol. Anyway, I LOVE your excitement and it is so contagious! I hope your TVL cope arrives soon and you'll love it. Armand appears on Part IV (maybe a little bit before, but he actually speaks and has a lot of attention on parts IV and V). Part IV is my favorite. Part II is amazing too, but it's pretty brutal and even triggering for some (it's Lestat's turning). I was pretty uncomfortable reading it, but the emotion was so intense, vivid and well-written that I ended up loving it from a creative standpoint. I just love it when Anne goes full force on intense emotions. The other day I was sobbing for like 2 hours reading chapter 10 of TVA. Anyway, I hope you love the books! Lestat and Armand parallel each other so much, but Lestat's POV is a different energy, so that will hopefully be fun and fresh to you. 🙃💗

i feel like after reading TVA i'm prepared for anything triggering in TVL because oh my god what he goes through in TVA is just...yeah. it's a LOT and it HURTS. my heart just breaks for him at certain points.

"I just love it when Anne goes full force on intense emotions." YES!! SAME HERE!! she's an incredibly descriptive writer overall so when she gets into the feelings and emotions of her characters you really, really feel it and i love it!

If you ever feel like talking about the books, I'm down for it anytime. #CertifiedYapper hehe. On the show I basically love everyone and everything the same, but on the books Armand stands alone as my favorite. Lestat is a close second, but Armand still wins. And I totally get the need to study him as a bug under a microscope lol, I think you need to do that with all characters... SPECIALLY Armand because he's the most complex character imo. And you'll probably love TVL given that they have A LOT in common. I don't know if Anne Rice intended it or not because bruh just wrote based on vibes and changed plans whenever she felt like It, but Armand and Lestat are really written as two sides of the same coin. They're extremely compelling individuals and with an equally appealing dynamic.

i took a stroll through your blog and will absolutely be coming to you when i get into TVL because i feel like i'm gonna need someone to scream talk about it with.

armand became my favorite character in the show though i do love every character immensely but something about armand! i just latched onto him and NEEDED to know more. he's so (to borrow his word) FASCINATING i just love peeling through all of his layers. even the way the book starts out -- when he rips all that hair out of the victim's head like the way anne rice wrote that scene is going to stay with me forever -- and then we're transported into his story as a mortal. he's got all of this depth! and trauma! (so much trauma oh my god what anne puts him through)

i'm really looking forward to getting into their dynamic more when i start TVL because the further into TVA you get, lestat makes a bigger appearance (again, no spoilers!) and the dynamic is really interesting, especially compared to the show where we haven't really gotten too deep into it.

Oh, that's wild, but I know people that started with TVA too! I began with TVL and have read 61% of TVA now (14 chapters). I'm completely loving! How about you, what are your thoughts? Do you have a favorite chapter so far? 🙃 P.S. TVL is pretty amazing and my favorite among the ones I've finished. Armand is my favorite character and Lestat is my favorite POV (I swear this take makes sense once you read both books)

armand is my favorite character in the series and i just want to study him like a bug under a microscope so i think that's why i started with TVA first but i ordered TVL and it should be here tomorrow so I'm just jumping straight into TVL after i finish this!

i absolutely LOVE TVA so far! i just finished chapter 19 and i'm both eager to finish and dragging it out. i think chapters 4, 14, and 15 would have to be my favorite but really the whole first part of the book before the bridge of sighs is just FANTASTIC.

your post though -- omg so correct lmao. there are moments in this book where i am completely captivated by the prose and it's just so beautiful and meaningful and then there are moments i want to throw the book at my wall because ANNE WE GOT THE POINT but i'd be lying to you if i said that wasn't half the fun of reading it. like i'm truly having a ball here.

(i will say, without spoiling anything for you -- and after getting through the first part of the book -- that i wish i read TVL first so i'm so, so excited to read that next!!)

LAST MOVIE? Holy Spider. Been meaning to watch since it was on Cannes but couldn't find it. A Persian movie about horrific murders that happened in Iran around 2000-2001 I am a cinephile and I love watching movies from different countries. This was the first movie of Ali Abbasi that i watch and i plan to watch his other works. Zahra Amir Ebrahimi's performance was so raw and intense she definitely deserved her award.

SWEET/SPICY/SAVOURY? I do have a mean sweet tooth but i prefer my savory food w lots of spice and hint of sweetness. I like complex flavours, umami.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS? Happily single since forever.

CURRENTLY WATCHING? On this very week i am watching We are lady parts and Sunny. Mourning over untimely cancellation of Evil. Pachinko's second season has finally arrived. Only murders S4 started one of my favorite comfort shows. Planning to watch Orplan Black: Echoes sometime. Og show has a special place in my heart i go and rewatch ever so often.

As for stuff i watch and wait for next season;

Interview with the vampire, Gilded age, Elsbeth (The Kings are my ride or die tv creators) Beef, Resident Alien, Silo,Blue Eyed samurai, Newsreader, White lotus,Shogun, Extraordinary, Girls 5eva (hopefully gets another season)

Used to be a huge fan of Drag Race but it become so commercialized lately i don't get the pure joy i used to get. During pandemic that show and Queens practically kept me alive. Still follow my dearest Queens. I really like drag.

CURRENT OBSESSIONS? I don't get obsessed w many stuff as i used to do. If you look at my tumblr it's %99 Iwtv. But there are directors, writers, Subjects i always keep close watch. If Mike Flanagan makes a show/movie i watch regardless. Alien franchise recently made a comeback the only franchise that turned me into it's dog since forever. So that's that. Very excited about next Spider-verse animation movie. Dune 3. Denis Villeneuve brings aeteur experience to mainstream a rare delicacy these days. I love a good period drama/movie. The actually accurate ones! Oh and I am absolutely obsessed w Hozier's music, Rebecca Ferguson and Jam Reiderson duo.

I like historian Kate Lister's podcast for example Betwixt the sheets.
