my college has a high school on its campus and they had a fire alarm so everyone was outside as I was walking

and when I tell you these kids were CHEERING when I walked by dressed as Deadpool holding my cardboard cutout of Hugh Jackman

I walked down the street like a hero, giving candy to anyone dressed as Deadpool or freaked out about Hugh Jackman

then a teacher walked up to me as I was giving candy to another Deadpool and was like “no candy for kids”

which, ok sure, but like, way to kill the vibe

A few seconds later Danny opened the door again and once again meet a certain tallish young man, around his age if maybe a few years older, in front of him...

Bruce freaking Wayne, someone according to what he heard from Sam telling him from what she heard from her parents had apparently just dropped out of med school and was 'in the wind' according to rich elite gossip talks, was at his front door.

Why?

Wait... Did he just ask Danny out on a date?

Bruce Wayne has just dropped out of med school and is beginning his training into becoming the person his city needs him to become. While looking into where he can he remembers how in his teen years the planet was almost destroyed but was saved by a ghost teen hero and looks into it. He digs deep to uncover what happened, uncovering impressive firewalls Amity Park has, etc and finds out about Danny Fenton/Phantom.

He decides to go visit the younger man, who is just about to start college himself, and ask a few questions.

He uhhh... Bruce just wasn't expecting to find Danny very cute (even though he was pretty certain Phantom had been his first male crush when he saw a photo of the teen years ago), and adorable with his owlish stare, and well the first words out of his mouth was

"Would you mind joining me for dinner?"

pjo s2 has the opportunity to make such a good comment on ableism in gen z. like as someone who was in high school hearing the r slur or “sped” or “acoustic” used so casually in so many places, i would actually break down crying if they got matt sloan to call tyson like “sped” and then see annabeth absolutely wreck his shit. i’d cheer so hard. the heroes of this story are disabled, the point of the original series was to create neurodivergent representation for kids, and it feels so so so necessary.

Profic Party; Week One @profiction-edits

As always with cool daily prompt games I just end up doing a big batch of them at once and then collapsing fgdjhgjdf So!! Here's all my Profic Party prompts for Week One all together now sense I have a lot going on over the weekend

If you wanna see me talk about all my answers, that'll be under the cut. These were fun! Here's hoping I can keep the motivation through Week 2!!

Day 1: OTP - Easiest one of the lot my all time OTP is and forever will be Mariocest. Hooked on the brothers for life. First ship forever imprinted on me.

Day 2: Favorite Character - A man I do not gush of often but that's because his media fandom is literally two people, Hero Nightfall from the Hell's Library book series. He is Bisexual, he is Polyamourus, he is snarky, he never lies, and I adore him.

Day 3: Most Problematic Ship - First one to stump me, for a while it was between AFO/Yoichi from MHA and Wittecest from TOH. Then I realized I couldn't draw AFO to save my life, so I was going to draw all my Belos ships to make up for it... But turns out I can't draw Belos either kdfjgkdf So you get Huntlos cause I drew it first, and Bellector but Belos is a child cause that was easier to draw. Just assume Wittecest is there as well. (William Afton/Cassidy could also probably go here but I'm not hardcore about it so..)

Day 4: Rare Pair - My stipulations for this one was it can't just be a ship for one of my tiny fandoms that no one's in, it had to be a ship from a popular media no one else liked that I was insane about. Which is a very small list. I eventually decided on Maximilien/Mauga from Overwatch because I was feral for them for about half a month. The Sub Pathetic Sugar Daddy X Dom Batshit Sugar Baby really got to me. Commit all the atrocities you want bby daddy's got the police chief on speed dial <3

Day 5: Crossover Ship - I'm not a crossover ship kinda guy. It's unfortunate but it's true. My only actual Crossover ship is my own comfort polycule Selfship; The Ideal Polycule. They helped me get over my Eating Disorder and they're probably what once could consider Main F/Os. I love them so much and they love me and eachother <3

Day 6: Polyship - I have so many of these you have no idea how difficult this was for me I love Polyamoury it brings me great comfort every ship can be made better with more people- Anyway. I decided on a Big Time fave of mine; Ojimonoshin aka The ABC Polycule from My Hero Academia. Fun little Bonus challange I did was I decided to only use a Fandom per prompt so I could show a lot of my Fandoms, so the fact that I couldn't draw AFO for Most Problematic made this choice more difficult fdgkjhgjdf

Day 7: Character from media you're not interested in - My boyfriend has fallen hard into the One Piece rabbit hole so I'm getting a lot of second hand knowledge about the series, and while I have zero interest in watching it, Usopp the beautiful Transfem is really testing my resolve. I also like Law, Bepo, Kuma, and Vegapunk. And of course my Blorbo-In-Law, Sanji Vinesmoke. Pushing him down the stairs and stealing his Boygirlfriend Usopp for myself <3

Fans: Can we please learn about the Philip and Caleb/Evelyn drama because it contextualizes Philip's actions and it is honestly the most interesting part of this show.

TOH: Mm, nah, we're gonna meander around for the majority of the first season. We're not even gonna have Belos interact with Luz until the season one finale LOL.

… Love T&B s2 for exploring Yuri a bit more.

I was already fond of him from s1, but I just got more and more attached in s2 (and then they had to go and do that).

I think, in his own, slightly messed up way, he does actually like Kotetsu. While watching I joke about Tiger being his favourite hero, but I think, in a way, he is, because of how honest he is. Tiger has an idea of 'justice,' and he'll argue w/ Yuri, both as Lunatic and as a judge, about it. Yuri doesn't get a lot of people debating w/ him. In addition, I think he does genuinely consider Kotetsu a noble person, despite his own twisted up priorities and ideals. That's not to say he'll hesitate to fight him if they're on opposite sides, but I think he puts stock in Kotetsu's convictions and values even more than some of the other characters.

And on the flip side, I think part of the reason Kotetsu also bothers him is that he's not just reminded of his father, but I think he sees who his father was once/should have been. Even though they argue some of the same concepts, and even though Yuri gets a bit riled up when his view is challenged (bc it brings his own conflicts and self loathing to the surface), Kotetsu never gives any indication of actually ending up like Legend. He tries to retire, then is fine sticking in Second League, and just continues adjusting and doing what he can w/ the one minute he has. He doesn't take the frustration out on other people. And I think that's part of what gets under Yuri's skin when that conversation comes to a head bc in a way, it proves it is possible. Maybe that his father's fall from grace could have been avoided. Maybe that his stance is wrong, and he's got so much untreated mental and emotional trauma balled up in there that he's just straight up not ready to deal w/ it (gods, that man needs therapy so badly).

And that's part of what makes the official ending (barring any continuations that produce any miracles [no, I have not already Fixed It in my headcanon, leave me alone!]) so tragic, is that maybe, honestly, Kotetsu and Barnaby could have helped him get to the help he definitely needed. I actually really liked their interactions—and while I'm mainly talking about Kotetsu in this post, I do think Yuri also… Kinda identifies w/ Barnaby (abused by a father [figure] who espoused noble ideals while doing terrible things), and genuinely meant to 'help' by going after Maverick… Except of course that answer didn't help Barnaby any more than it's helped him.

To try and get to what I think my point was, the two of them likely stood the best chance of getting through to him. One, in a way, knows a little bit of what he's going through (including 'traumatised at a young age') and the other is straight up a good fucking person who I think personifies (if a little more of a dumbass than intended) what Yuri initially considered heroes to be/thinks they should be, deep down. It was enough to make me wish those three had gotten more, in depth interactions on their own, makes me think that they really would have had the best chance to talk him off that ledge… If it hadn't been for Other Factors.

im generally not a fan of the idea of any of the early 2000s sonic games being remastered because i think those games not having the most updated looking graphics or the best voice acting ever is part of the charm i dont want them to be changed to look and sound exactly like every other sonic game thats come out in the past 14 years
