Can we get some details on the dynamics in the poly relationships?
Thorin and Ingemar are magnetic. Despite seeming to be too different, these opposites do in fact attract. Together, you form a powerful trio and are very well respected.
Eydis and Majida are comfort. Two fearsome women in their own fields, others might be confused how they get along, but that's because they're not privy to the inside of your home. They don't see Eydis and MC braiding Majida's hair, and they don't hear Majida singing quietly as the stars come out.
Björn and Æsc are familiarity. Æsc’s level-headed mind counters Björn’s brashness, and he keeps them from becoming too pessimistic. The love they have for each other and MC is fierce enough to inspire songs and poetry for decades.

The Elf and the Dwarf (ch. 5)
Summary: Erebor was reclaimed and the line of Durin had not ended. You were an elf and now that your quest was over, you didn’t know what to do especially since you gained feelings for a certain King Under the Mountain.
Chapter Summary: Never ending sadness with the dwarves
Chapter Categories: Humor, Small Bit of Angst, I guess. Idk
Previous Chapter: Chapter 4
Next Chapter:  Chapter 6
Fili lets out a sigh of relief as he notices that both you and Thorin are still breathing as you walk into the council room. You two were always at each other’s throats over the corse of the quest and many had thought you’d kill each other at one point, but they were glad to be proven wrong.
Thorin sits at the other head of the table, across from Bard.
You take your place on Bard's right with Tauriel on Bard's left.
Although her banishment had been lifted by Thranduil, she had decided to stay in Dale much to the chagrin of Legolas. He knew what her choice would be and decided to let her go. She is currently Captain of the Guard and helps train the men alongside you. She’s also a part of the council and Bard found it funny that the council of men is filled with elves.
He had absolutely no idea what to do when the city had asked him to become King. While his anscetor was made for this position, he was not. Being thrust into this was not so easy and after dealing with you in the past, you seemed to be the best option to help him run the city. Being the daughter of a Lord probably helped a bit.
Bain joins you along with a young fellow by the name of Ingemar. He was about the age of 25, had long blonde hair and striking blue eyes. He was the second most wanted man in Dale after the King of course, but his eyes were set on another prize.
"Hello n/n," he says, smiling at the elf. "How many times have I told you, human, you do not have permission to call me that. Only those I care about can do that. You can either call me by my first name or nothing at all," you growl out.
It's obvious to the dwarves that you have been flirted with by this guy multiple times and that he didn't lay off.
"Come on. We've known each other for a week. I know you care for me," he says, winking at her. "Guards. Remove him," you command and there are two men that come to grab him. "Wait. Stop," you command again. The guards put him down and step back. (I was trying to make it like the scene in Game of Thrones where Cersei tries to show Baelish exactly who has more power)
"You will do well to remember exactly who you are talking to. I have trained these men and I have trained them well. I will no longer tolerate your flirting. I hired you because you seemed to be good at your job, but you are as incompetent as the other men. Continue," you announce and the guards take him out.
Tauriel smiles and Bard smirks, shaking his head.
"Who was he exactly?" Dwalin asks. "He was supposed to be our new treasurer but he obviously failed the test," Bard explains, “it seems that no man is fit for any job on this council. We go through at least five potential candidates a week and no one makes it past the first three days.”
"It's not my fault he's a fool," you reply and you turn to Bain. "When you become king do not let anyone like that on the board alright?" You ask and he nods smiling.
"Thanks for coming on such a short notice," Bard says. "It's quite alright. It's not like my coronation is tonight or anything," Thorin says sarcastically. Bard sighs and you smile.
"Actually I called you down here to talk about that. I feel that there is a need to have extra security tonight. With the threat on your life from your kin, what do you expect from men?" He asks Thorin.
Thorin narrows his eyes.
"Are you implying that men will try to kill me tonight?" He asks. "I'm not saying there will be but there is always the possiblity. You cannot be too sure. That's why I'm asking you to let me add some of my guards to yours as well," Bard says.
"I would not mind a few helping hands," Thorin mumbles after having a short conversation with Dwalin.
"Great. Tauriel and y/n will be leading my men-,"
"N/n? You can't be serious?" Fili asks, outraged.
"I don't see the problem Fee. I'm doing my duty to this city. It is only right," she replies.
"Being by our side is what is right. You helped us reclaim Erebor. You belong celebrating with us," Fili argues. "I belong protecting your king," you reply.
"When has duty become more important than friendship? You were the one that remind us that you chose us over your kin and now you're going to tell me your choosing a job over us? How much of a hypocrite can you be?" He asks and you can't meet his eyes.
You had never gotten into a fight with Fili. Never. Thorin, yes, Dwalin yes, Kili, sometimes, but never Fili. It broke your heart to be fighting with your best friend.
He stands up and leaves, not noticing the tears he had caused.
"Of course after one Durin stops being mad at me another one starts," you say, bitterly. You excuse yourself and walk back to your quarters.
"This is the first time I've seen her shed a tear in a month. It is something about you dwarves that bring her sadness," Bard tells Dwalin and Thorin as Tauriel takes her leave as well.
"It has never been my intention to do so and I explained this to her," Thorin announces. "Well either way she still hurts. She is a very emotional elf. Which is surprising. All of the other elves I've seen are nearly emotionless. Nearly," Bard tells him.
"Like I said. It was NEVER my intention. If you'll excuse us, we've got a coronation to plan," Thorin says, standing.

Hi!! Can we please get some random ro facts? Could be anything you feel like answering but I would love some fluff <3
I love this if so much and I'm so excited to play it ❤️ hope you're doing well and ty!
Thorin:
Socially anxious but comes off as cold and mysterious somehow, looks like they could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll, will blush if you hold their hand
I picture him as baker in the modern day.
Eydis:
Swears more than any pirate, loves plants, her family, and her religion
Definitely runs her own witch-y shop and has a degree in botany.
Sigurd:
Wants to swim in every ocean, will be thinking about you holding the door open for them for the rest of his life, and cares too deeply in a world that doesn’t care at all.
I think he would be a photographer for a big name company who gets to travel the world.
Björn:
Adores the fact that Tove looks like him, wants another tattoo, knows the name of almost everybody under his rule, and hates the fact that he can’t sing (well)
Owns a popular bar in a busy, big city, or some other small business of his own. Maybe carpentry?
Æsc:
Loves long hair, too indecisive to get tattoos, learned old Norse in a few months
Modern day Æsc is pursuing their masters in linguistics or sociology.
Majida:
Loves rainy days but hates the mud, enjoys long walks, wishes she was a bird
Definitely runs her own martial arts studio or something similarly badass.
??/Ingemar:
Hates disloyalty, he’s an adrenaline junky, he’s loud and cocky and has a short temper but would never raise a hand against anyone close to him
A tattoo artist.

hi!! how would the ro’s react to accidentally walking in on the mc changing? ty!
Eyes go wide before they cover them with both hands. Blurting out a million apologies, they reach out blindly to shut the door. Will get flustered if you ever mention it.
Sigurd, Thorin
Blinks once, twice, before quietly shutting the door behind them. Pretends like it never happened.
Majida
Walks out and shuts the door, knocking this time, and asks if you need any.. help.
Æsc, Eydis, Ingemar
Turns around but doesn't leave yet. Leans against the wall, asking if you want them to stay.
Bjorn, also Ingemar, & also Æsc

How would the ROs react to seeing someone flirting with MC during crushing stage? How would they react if the person flirting with MC was coming on strong and the MC responded by throwing a fist sending them sprawling across the floor?
Thorin is on standby. He’s close enough to both MC and the person flirting to easily step in if anything happens - or if he simply can’t handle watching anymore.
Eydis is also watching but from afar. Once the person (or people 👀) flirting with MC catch her gaze, her smirk will be enough for them to awkwardly withdraw.
Sigurd: far too awkward in the crushing stage to try anything. He is absolutely watching though, and will back you up if you need it.
Björn is not afraid to make his interest in MC known, or his dislike for the person in front of MC. Will absolutely approach and smile. “So, who’s this, dear?”
Æsc is making snarky comments about the person just loud enough for them to hear. Smiles when they disappear and they can take their spot by MC.
Majida: sitting in a corner glaring angrily at the person and confused as to why she’s angry confused.
Ingemar is sitting nearby - leaned back comfortably with his ankle crossed on his opposite knee. He’s smirking like a little shit watching the person fail to catch MC’s interest (or receive any of the reactions he knows he can draw out of MC-)

okay, I need to know -- ROs vs MC who likes to burn things, a lot?
On a scale of 1 (scared of fire) to 10 (burning everything in sight)
MC: can choose, but if you go the full avenging Viking route - 9
Thorin: 3
Eydis: 6
Sigurd: 2
Björn: 7
Æsc: 7
Majida: 2
Ingemar: 8

So... How would the ROs react if someone mistook them and MC for a couple?
"I, uh, well... we're not actually together." A flustered mess and takes 10 steps away from you.
Thorin, Sigurd
Smiles calmly. "Sorry, we're not together."
Eydis, Æsc, Majida
"How'd you know?" Sidles up close to MC with a wink.
Björn
Smirks at the person, their gaze trained on you. "Not yet."
Ingemar, also Æsc

Hi! If you got this ask already feel free to ignore it but what would be the ROs worst traits?
Also, I just read the demo and it's amazing!
Thank you :)
Thorin: pessimistic
Eydis: defensive and evasive
Sigurd: I can’t think of any. He’s a cinnamon roll.
Björn: distrusting and can be tactless
Æsc: needing to be right
Majida: seeming to be aloof and uptight
Ingemar: hotheaded and overly cocky at times

hi!! i wanted to drop in and say how much i loved the demo! i loved how it was written and i can’t wait for more :) i was wondering, how would the ro’s react if they said something that made the mc cry during an argument? thanks!
Thorin winces, disappointed in himself, and immediately cuts the argument off. If it's something important, it can be discussed later when you're both less emotional.
Eydis immediately reaches out for you, apologizing a hundred times in one breath. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have taken it that far."
Sigurd starts to cry - a mixture of angry and sad tears. "Please, please forgive me," He'll beg.
Björn sighs, rubbing at his forehead - the anger in the room quickly dissipating. "I'm sorry... let's talk about something else."
Æsc's heart sinks as your tears first start to fall, and the snark fades away - leaving a heart much more lonely and afraid. Dropping to their knees before you, their hands reach out for yours. "Forgive me," They plead, first in your language and then in others unfamiliar to you.
Majida goes quiet, her thick brows furrowing. Coming to rest beside you, she'll reach for your hand, hesitate, and withdraw. "I'm sorry, my love, I didn't mean it."
Ingemar's anger doesn't disappear, instead turning inwards at himself and his actions. He will have to take some alone time to breathe, and comes back in later to apologize.

Hi Olive! What would you say are the ROs love languages?
Thorin’s was hard to pin down, but I’ve settled on acts of service and gift giving.
Eydis’s quality time with a sprinkle of words of affirmation.
Sigurd’s love language is physical touch (also with a sprinkle of words of affirmation).
Quality time and physical touch are Björn’s.
Æsc’s is words of affirmation.
Majida’s is quality time and acts of service.
??/Ingemar’s is physical touch and acts of service
Thanks for the ask ♡

We've heard of Frode's opinion of the ROs but what about the ROs opinion of Frode 👀?
Hope you doing great btw ❤
A remnant of Thorin’s childhood fear of Frode still lingers as adults. He’s is excellent at reading people, and has known about Thorin’s crush on MC since day zero. Even as kids, Frode wielded it over Thorin’s head in his position as MC’s brother.
Eydis enjoys his presence a lot. She appreciates his [usually] calm demeanor and their intelligent conversations.
Sigurd finds him very intimidating. Frode is a 1/2 of the city’s leadership, and Sigurd is at the other end of the social spectrum.
Björn respects him as a leader, but finds him to be too serious.
Æsc would like to be BFFs.
Majida finds him to be a respectable, adept leader, and secretly finds it very entertaining that he’s scared of her.
??/Ingemar and Frode share a mutual distrust and dislike of each other.

Hi! Hope you are having a good day :)
Of the ros, who are the ones with more experience, relationship wise?
Björn and Eydis have the most experience, Thorin and ??/Ingemar have some, Æsc and Majida have very little, and Sigurd has none.
Thanks for the ask! :)

How good are the ro's with kids? Who wants kids too? Thanks, Oli <3
Thorin is an older brother, and he is amazing with kids. I can see him having a small family.
Eydis is okay with kids and loves her large family dearly, but she would prefer a smaller family
Sigurd is amazing with children, but doesn't want any of his own.
Björn already has a kid and he's an excellent father. If MC wants, he wouldn't mind a few more ;)
Æsc is not that great with kids (but they're learning with Tove (Björn’s daughter)). While they adore Tove, they don't want any kids of their own.
Majida is not good with kids and doesn't want any of her own.
??/Ingemar doesn't have a particular fondness for kids, and does not have strong feelings either way.
I'm not a kid person myself, so not wanting children does not lock you out of any of the RO routes! Bjorn's might be interesting, but Tove will only make small appearances.

what does frode think of all the ro’s? ty!
He hated Thorin when you were kids (because Thorin was taller than him). Meeting him as an adult, Frode likes him a lot more. Would probably would be friends.
He likes Eydis and always has. She's different than most of the people in Kanaug, and won't force a conversation on him. He might try to flirt with her if you don't.
He would like the Sigurd you meet at the beginning of the book. Maybe not like, but would tolerate because Sigurd is also quiet. Unfortunately it's an awkward quiet. End of the book Sigurd? He might be a little intimated.
At first he doesn't like Björn, especially if you like Björn or if he flirts with you in front of him. He's protective of you and doesn't want to see you get hurt. He knows Viking men - many of them sleep with someone and throw them away the next morning. Eventually he will come to respect Björn and maybe even tolerate him. Maybe.
I can see Æsc and Frode becoming best friends and causing a lot of mischief together.
Majida scares the shit out of him.
He does not like or trust ??/Ingemar at all.

hi!! how easy is it to make the ro’s get flustered? ty!
If 1 is very difficult to fluster and 10 is very easy:
Thorin: 2 (but 10 if it's MC)
Eydis: 6
Sigurd: 9
Björn: 4
Æsc: 3
Majida: 5
??/Ingemar: 3
