Okay okay okay but if it’s true that Ingrid was made by Freyr, then why the hell does his Sheith for Ingrid have the fucking Celtic Triskelion on its medallion????

And the fact that Ingrid— a literal sword of light—seems to look nothing like any sword that we've seen (not even freya's sword) be similar to the “sword of light” of Celtic mythology????

As well as the fact that throughout Ragnarok, there were so many references to Celtic/Irish/Scottish/British Isle specific mythology and stories:

Kelpies

mentions of Arthurian Legend of The Lady of the Lake, Nimue

The Scottish play which shall not be named (Shakespeare)

mentions of Oberon and Tatiannia

Mimir being opening called “Puck” from a Mid-Summers Nights Dream by The Norns (Shakespeare)

Mimir’s story about the Laird (The scottish name for a lord) and The Girl

The fact that the British isles is geographically closer to Scandinavia than any other mythological location

the fact that the biggest mystery as to what happened to the remaining giants of Jotunheim is still ongoing and Atreus is now on his quest to find what happened to them and where did they go

And the fact that the Ragnarok ending heavily hinted at the fact that Atreus could have his own spin-off game in the future

Also the fact that the formorians of celtic mythology are often linked to being giants/vikings that came from scandinavia (AKA home of Norse Mythology)

SSM has been dropping awesome new God of War Developmental art, and some of the art features the soul marbles featured in the game. Looking at them, you can see that they are clearly marked with the names of the giants they are associated with, and how the marbles themselves reflect the personalities of the giants themselves.

Groa - this one is the most interesting because it’s a mostly black on brown marble, which could hint at the fact that Groa was murdered by Odin and this her marble reflects her untimely death.

Laufey (Faye’s marble) - Faye marble is interesting because the middle of the marble is gold, which again symbolizes the Jotnar as a race of being. Having such a large part of her marble be gold symbolizes her loyalty to the Giants as being their last guardian. Also the wood of the marble is so dingy and grey, it could also symbolize how she died peacefully.

Loki (Atreus’ marble) - love how the gradient of yellow to green to blue symbolizes his mixed heritage. Yellow is associated with the Jotnar while blue is Midgard and since Atreus was born a Joten who grew up in Midgard, his marble reflects this

Angrboda - a deep deep orange/red, most likely drawing upon the notion of her loyalty to Jotunheim as a home for the giants.

Jormungandr — love how because his name is so long, it twists around the marble hinting at his newly found snake heritage

Hati (from Skoll and Hati) — since Hati is the wolf associated with the moon, it’s make sense that his marble is such a deep midnight-cerulean moonlight blue. I’d imagine that Skoll’s marble is bright gold or yellow.

A small headcanon if Freya let Baldur explore.

I feel like Freya was not that busy in Asgard even though she's the Queen.

Freya and Baldur would travel the realms together, Freya would tell Baldur tales from her younger years, they would go to see Hafgufas or travel to Vanaheim. They would camp together, Freya would teach him to hunt. Probably they would lay back to a rock near the campfire and Baldur would rest his head on Freya's chest and sleep. In the morning they would play by the river maybe? Freya would cook and they would continue exploring.

But maybe, Baldur would go with Mimir to at least see the other realms, or with Thor (but idk. probably not)

But also i feel like he and Heimdall would travel. But they would argue and fight about everything.

Odin? idk. Man doesn't have time for his kids. Maybe he would carry them with him but he wouldn't probably camp with them or even take a small walk with them in the woods.
