Sherlollians, am I imagining it, or did @thisisartbylexie do a piece where Molly's dress was the print of the wallpaper? And if she did, can someone tag me in it if they can find it? I have searched her blog, gone back in my blog's archive to see if I can find the reblog...but I am not finding it and for whatever reason my brain says I need to SEE it again.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

260 (and rapidly going up, because there’s a bunch more one shots that are currently still in a multi-chapter and I’m working on posting them individually)

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

1,528,192 😵‍💫

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Mostly BBC Sherlock and Star Wars. But I’ve also written a fic for The Hunger Games, Loki show, Grantchester, Miss Scarlet and the Duke, and Wonder Woman.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

(I’m not gonna include the fic that technically comes in 4th place because that’s the multi-chapter of one shots which will eventually be deleted completely from AO3 once all the one shots have their own post)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Absolutely! There was only one time in my life that I said I couldn’t routinely do that, and that was at the height of popularity for I Told You So. I was posting it on AO3 and ffnet, and also posting the links on here, and I was getting feedback on all three platforms. Which was amazing! But it meant it was a bit much to keep up with. Other than that, I feel commenters deserve a response since they’re giving us writers the thing we want most. ❤️

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

For reylo probably I’m Ready to be Heartbroken and for sherlolly I think it’s a tie between You’re Dying and Congratulations, By The Way.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I truly couldn’t say because I’ve written sooo many with happy endings that Idk what would be happiest 😆

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I’ve gotten the very occasional slightly rude comment over the years, but not what I’d consider hate.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I never have and I don’t plan to. It’s just not something I want to do. And besides I think there’s always more than enough of that for those who want it. If anything, what tends to be lacking is a large selection of fics without that type of content.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Only think I’ve ever done is a Star Wars AU one shot for sherlolly called Balance.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of, and I don’t know if I’d even want to know because that would be such a huge amount of stress and I’d probably be very limited in what I could do about it.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I’m honored to say that I have! There might be one for I Told You So on ffnet… I can’t remember. But definitely on AO3 there’s a Russian translation of Zephyr and a Chinese translation of For Science

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes, indeed! I’ve co-written two fics with @thisisartbylexie. Alliance for reylo, and Half Agony, Half Hope for sherlolly. Coincidence that those are also in my top 5 kudos? I think not.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

That’s super hard but if for no other reason than the duration of my creating, I guess I’d have to say sherlolly.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I don’t think I have an answer for this because the 2 WIP I have at the moment are ones I am definitely in the process of finishing.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think dialogue and internal descriptions for the character. And I guess describing things in a way that help the reader easily hear/see the scene in their mind, since that’s a comment I’ve gotten many times over the years.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Action and mystery. Ironic, given my fandoms lol. I am always so uncomfortable describing action scenes or situations where there’s a lot going on and it’s fast paced. And I absolutely would struggle if I had to come up with a mystery plot line!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

What an interesting question! I’m trying to think if I’ve ever even done this in a fic. 🤔 But I think it’s a great thing to include if the plot calls for it! If I did I’d ideally want to check with someone who is fluent in that language just to make sure I’m not being inaccurate.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

BBC Sherlock (for sherlolly) going on 10 years ago 🥹

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

I genuinely don’t think I can choose. Sometimes I try to when I get this question, but it really is a toss up between a few fics. There’s not one particular one that stands out from the others so much that I’d call it my favorite. But some of my faves are definitely in that list of my top kudos fics that I listed in question 4.

Sherlolly, and @thisisartbylexie have been a constant companion in my teenage years and this makes me cry

I’ve been MIA, mostly because life and my brain, but Sherlolly continues to bring me joy. Anyway, I have been struggling with drawing lately, so I’m not super excited about this one, but I hope you all like it!

Got this lovely calendar that I can place on my table, and I'm glad I'll be able to follow the upcoming months with it while looking at your gorgeous Sherlolly art! And your artbook is a delight to peruse as I spot some of your older art while looking in awe at your newer ones!

Dare I say, I also noticed small differences between your older and newer art, but your style remains the same, which somewhat gives me a comforting feeling; I've lurked in the Sherlolly fandom while the TV show was still active, and to see you draw Reylo was a surprising change to me, but your Reylo art was one of the reasons why I decided to give it a try, and now I'm knees-deep in Reylo too!

Fingers crossed I'd come back and order more from your store again!

This is a T rated arranged marriage fic set in canonverse, and naturally it doesn’t stick to the canon plot. My dear friend @thisisartbylexie and I wrote this together and I’m still awfully proud of it. Okay my Reylo mutuals/followers (and whoever else would like to answer)…I would like your Reylo recs, please. TLJ made me like their relationship more than I thought I could, but I’ve never actually tried delving into this part of the fandom much. So I’d like to know what fics or meta you’d put in the category of “If this doesn’t make you understand the appeal of this ship nothing will.” Anything but AUs, any rating.

Am I starting another multi chapter? No… probably not… honestly idk. 😆 All I know for sure is that while I was listening to Taylor Swift’s “‘tis the damn season” today this scene legit just popped into my head. I had to get it out lol. Thanks to @thisisartbylexie for pushing me to just do it! I don’t usually share the whole fic on here anymore, but I think tumblr did something that made AI scraping less likely, right? Anyway, hope you enjoy this little modern au one shot. Will I ever do more with it? Who can say? Again, I just had to get it written. ❤️

Hometown

The floorboards creaked loudly when she stepped up into the attic, sounding as angry and bitter as the late owner of this old house had been.

Rey walked around the boxes and tools and junk, silently cursing her grandfather for leaving all this for her to deal with. Not a word of love or care in all these years since she’d left. Nothing but a cluttered old house, left to her out of legal necessity.

Her eyes soon narrowed in on a box in the corner with “Rey” scribbled on the top. Crouching down, she ripped the tape off the box’s seam, opening the top to reveal the contents. She found herself instantly transported back to another time. Another life.

Rey pulled out a little doll, tattered and worn after all the years she’d clutched it close in the nights she’d cried herself to sleep. She swallowed a jagged lump, setting the little thing aside and continuing to pull items out. There were books and clothes and shoes, and little scraps she’d collected as a child. It might have warmed her heart to see that these things were kept, but she knew it was only for lack of care that these random items were all swept into a box and placed in the attic, her grandfather as content to forget her as she was him.

When she reached the very last item at the bottom of the box though, she instantly froze, sitting back against her heels, almost afraid to touch it. Hesitant fingers finally reached out, grasping the weathered red flannel, pulling it out and allowing herself to hold it close for the first time in so many years. Rey’s eyes clamped shut… she could smell his soap. Maybe the cling of the subtly spicy and woodsy aroma was long gone from the fabric and this was just a memory. It didn't really matter. Because either way, just like that, it filled her senses all over again. He filled her senses.

The slow walks in the woods, the long country drives going nowhere, the late night laughter over nothing at all, the almost daily light hearted arguments because neither were good at admitting when they were wrong.

And the way his arms wrapped around her body had taught her what it was to want something more than friendship from a boy.

Before Rey knew it, she was slipping her own arms into the flannel and pulling it up over her shoulders, allowing herself to get as close to those memories as she could. She was swimming in the thing, just as she was the night Ben put it on her as he walked her home, grumbling about how she was always cold and never remembering her own jacket. But he didn’t mind, not really. She could tell. He looked almost pleased at the sight of her in it, but his lips twisted away the smile that threatened for just a moment. So quick, you could almost miss it. But she didn’t, and it warmed her almost as much as the flannel that still carried the literal warmth of his body.

God, if she could only go back to that moment, and a hundred more just like it. If she could only have stayed in this town a little longer, to see where those moments would have led. To see if one night his arms might have stayed around her a little longer and held her a little tighter.

But they never got that chance. Ben seemed almost as eager for her to leave town as she was, to get away from her grandfather and to make something more of her life after high school. He was excited for her. Sometimes she wondered what she might have done if instead Ben had begged her to stay.

But he didn’t.

Rey hugged the flannel a little tighter around her body, realizing that her eyes had started to cloud. She had to sniffle genuine tears away, even though she wasn’t sorry for the loss of any other part of her life in this town. The loss of him was more than enough.

Shaking her emotions off and standing up, that old shirt hanging almost to her fingertips, she looked around at the seemingly endless work it would take to unload this house. She wondered how long she’d have to stay here and be away from the city. This wasn’t exactly the vacation she’d been wishing for, but it had to be done regardless. And maybe something good would come from all of it.

Not that she could hope to see Ben Solo again, she thought to herself with a little laugh, hands absentmindedly smoothing up and down the comforting fabric against her arms. What were the chances he’d still be here in this town?

Right here where she’d left him seven years ago.

#4 An accidental brush of the lips, followed by a pause and going back for another, on purpose

“It’s for a case, he says. It’ll be fun, he says. It’ll be easy, he says,” Molly grumbled as she struggled to keep up with Sherlock’s long strides as they ran through the streets, trying to evade a very angry investment banker who they’d caught embezzling from his clients.“Less complaining and more running, Molly. There’s a good girl,” Sherlock puffed out, pulling on her hand and causing her to stumble slightly before redoubling her efforts.“You’re the worst.”He looked back at her and grinned. “I know.” Molly couldn’t help her snort of amusement.

They ran for a few more moments, with Sherlock glancing back every so often to see if they were still being followed. The banker was surprisingly fit, but Molly’s legs were starting to tire and Sherlock was starting to get bored of this whole chase. He pulled her onto a busy street and tugged her off to the side. Her back was to the wall and he stepped fully in front of her, his back to the people jostling about on the street.She looked up at him curiously, but he was focused on the side street that they had just emerged from. Suddenly their banker friend popped out and Sherlock immediately ducked his head.It just so happened that Molly had her face turned up and instead of just miming a moment of intimacy, as she was sure Sherlock had intended, their lips actually met. Molly stiffened immediately and went to pull away, but Sherlock’s hand on her waist silently insisted that she stay in place.She watched as his eyes flickered over to the street corner again, watching as their pursuer took off down the street, away from them, chasing some other poor bugger in a long coat.Sherlock stepped back immediately and rubbed at his neck awkwardly. “My apologies, Molly-“But she cut him off with a gentle finger against his lips and for once in his life, Sherlock Holmes shut up when he was told to. Her finger left his lips and her hand moved down to cradle his jaw. She stood on her tip toes and he bent to meet her halfway as their lips met in another kiss, this time fully on purpose.Molly’s eyes fluttered shut as Sherlock took a step closer to her, his other hand traveling to her waist as well and anchoring her in place. When they parted, Molly expected Sherlock to step back again, but he didn’t. His eyes opened and she smiled shyly at him and he returned a soft smile.“Dinner?” He asked quietly, his eyes roaming her face and his thumbs repeatedly moving up and down at her waist.“Only if you take me to the chippie that gives you extra portions. That run left me famished,” she teased.Sherlock grinned and ducked his head, briefly kissing her again. “Deal.”
