I hate that I have to give this PSA at all- that I do is a failure on the part of multiple governmental organizations. But it is important.
COVID damages a lot more than you think. It damages more than your lungs, and does more than give you digestive issues. And sometimes, those issues can last well after you get better, even if you're not a person you would otherwise think of as being sick with long COVID.
If you only remember these two things, please just remember that:
COVID can and does damage your heart.
COVID can and does damage your nervous system, particularly your brain.
If you have had COVID in the last 18 months, you are at a highly elevated risk of sudden cardiac death compared to someone who hasn't. In the first three weeks after getting sick, your odds of dying from a heart-related event are 81 times that of an uninfected person, and five times higher in the following 18 months. You are also at a higher risk of of developing nonfatal heart disease; 40% likelier. (Source for all claims in this paragraph)
If you develop ANY cardiac symptoms at all after getting COVID- heart palpitations, blood pressure issues, fatigue, fainting, getting out of breath easier than is normal for you- you need to see a doctor as soon as possible, and you need to tell them you've recently had COVID. You have long COVID until proven otherwise.
Similarly, your risk of neurological disorders remains heightened over a year after getting COVID; approximately 40% higher. (Source) This manifests in more ways than I have time to list, but includes a vastly higher risk of dementia of all types (doctors are particularly seeing this with the under-45 group that was previously extremely rare), memory disorders, sensory issues (like persisting loss or distortion of taste and smell), mental health issues like anxiety or depression, and even more.
These can manifest in a lot of ways. But if you experience new anxiety or depression, new behavioral issues (particularly for those under the age of 18), if you suddenly can't focus anymore or can't remember things anymore (ESPECIALLY words, COVID has been noted to cause extreme difficulty with word recall), if you have tremors, if you're tired all the time, if you have "brain fog", if you have trouble sleeping, I could go on... again. You have long COVID until proven otherwise. EVEN IF you aren't "that sick". Even if you have energy to do things and can mostly function but you just aren't doing well in school/at work anymore because you can't remember the things your teacher/professor is talking about/the new work protocols your boss went over with you.
If you hop over to the subreddits for teachers or professors, you will notice a lot of them noting their students don't remember basic things the teachers have been pressing for an entire semester, or that students can't sit long enough to focus through a movie. And sure, some of that is cell phones reducing attention span, or students just not paying attention- but they just can't seem to pick up the pieces there that they are seeing long-term sequelae (that is, a different illness arising from COVID infection) in their students. It is everywhere, but few people are connecting the dots.
Similarly, there is a huge wave of pilots being unable to pass their physicals and losing their licenses, or making mistakes due to brain fog (in some cases even leading to crashes) or falling victim to sudden cardiac death in the middle of a flight.
EVERYONE is at risk from this. No one is talking about this. I don't kn- well, actually, no, I do know exactly why, I just don't like it. People want to make COVID the new flu, but it just isn't. It is not and never will be the flu. And we are willingly inflicting cardiomyopathy and dementia and all sorts of awful things on people in the name of regaining a sense of normalcy that is gone, but ironically would be closer to returning if we had accepted for a while that things WEREN'T normal and acted accordingly. But that chance is gone now, COVID is never going away because people couldn't bother, but they still can't admit it, they can't face the consequences of their actions, so instead we're getting this attempted coverup of the real long-terms dangers of COVID that even "young and healthy" people have.
But pretending things are normal doesn't make sick people healthy. So instead, try to educate folks, because there is a very high chance you or someone you know is sick right now, due to COVID infections they had months ago, and doesn't know it because people are pretending COVID is just the flu but with tummy upset and a disrupted sense of taste/smell.
People NEED to know what the actual dangers are.
ALSO, sidenote: if you are masking, and ask your medical team to mask, and they respond by starting to suggest you are experiencing "COVID anxiety", find a new provider. Immediately. Don't even continue the appointment. They are not interested in helping you.
Signed, your friendly neighborhood epidemiologist.

First Choice - Part 10
Part ten of this Poly141! x fat!reader tw: reader hurts her own feelings for a bit, Price is the tiniest bit toxic (like you gotta squint real fucking hard)
Tumblr media
You were determined not to think of the four men who, at least for a weekend, made you feel like the center of their universe. It wasn’t like every little thing reminded you of one of them. How they had ingrained themselves so solidly into your head over the span of two days, you would never know. But it was a gnawing feeling.
You’d wanted to listen to them explain it away, explain why they showed up to the gala you just happened to be at with these pretty little things on their arms. Or why only Johnny seemed to fight for you.
But you were tired of excuses, tired of reasons why you weren’t good enough. It was just easier to be alone. It didn’t matter that your phone had been blowing up since you’d closed the door on them that night. It didn’t matter when your phone suddenly stopped vibrating against the couch one evening, a week out from that dreadful gala.
Another week and there were no new messages. You supposed they finally got the idea that you didn’t want to see them (even if you were lying to yourself).
Tumblr media
Somewhere in the rainforest of South America, Task Force 141 sat around a small fire, each one grumbly and grumpy. They’d been sent out for a reconnaissance mission, gathering intel on some sex trafficker and now they were currently waiting for evac, one that wouldn’t come for another few hours with the way the storm above them was raging.
“I just hope she read the messages. I’d hate for her to think we gave up,” Soap sighed, exasperated from not knowing if you had read them.
“When we get back, we’ll get her to listen. Explain everything,” Price drawled, making a grumbling sound in his chest as he adjusted in his seat against the bottom of a tree.
“It’s not like we gave her any reason to listen to us,” Gaz reasoned, eating through his MRE for the night. Ghost stayed silent, whittling away at a piece of wood and tossing the scraps into the fire. “We spent a single weekend with her, only talked to her through texts for the rest of the week and then showed up with other women to a gala. It doesn’t matter if we knew what was going on, she didn’t because we didn’t explain.”
They all sighed and nodded, each thinking on their own part in the misunderstanding.
Tumblr media
After three weeks, you had convinced yourself that you had forgotten them, left them in the past. After your phone had been quiet for a few days, you read through them all, letting yourself feel the pain of not listening to them before deleting them. The last message had come from John.
“We’re going to be out of town for a few weeks and when we come back, you will let us explain.”
It was very forward, blunt, like you had no choice in whether or not you would listen to them. You didn’t like that, being told what to do, but at this point, if they were still fighting for your attention when they came back…well, who were you to keep denying them?
Which was why you found yourself at the same table you’d spent the first night with them at, nursing your second glass of whiskey as you waited for them to show. You’d arrived much too early, but had wanted to get a drink in you before you were forced into the impending conversation.
They arrived five minutes before the set meeting time, each stopping by the bar to order their drinks before sliding into the booth. You sat at the back of the round booth, John directly to your left with Kyle on his other side and Ghost to your right, with Johnny on his other side (mainly in an effort to keep the more excitable man from crawling into your lap and begging you to forgive them).
Looking up from your glass, your gaze turned to John as you raised a brow. It was a silent invitation for them to get on with it. The thing was, now that they sat there in front of you, they didn’t know how to say what they needed to. Except Ghost, apparently.
“We’re military, luv. We were deployed for a few weeks, hence the silence. But I - we know that isn’t why you’re upset. That gala…” You flinched slightly, not enjoying the reminder of the night. “We were undercover. Those women you saw with us, they’re other soldiers trained for those types of missions.”
Your gaze had settled on the man, noting the lack of balaclava that was replaced with a black medical mask. It was the most of his face that you’d ever seen, silver and pink scars littering his face that you could see under the hood of his jacket.
“We can’t say much more than that. But we do want you to know that our interest is genuine,” John continued for Ghost, finally finding his words. “We’d like to spend more time with you while we’re around. We will leave for deployments, sometimes they last months, and we know it isn’t fair to ask that of you. But if you’re willing to have us, we’d put in the effort and you’d never want for anything else.”
They all were staring at you now. Ghost with a look of understanding, but also a sort of defeat already filtering in. John and Kyle managed to keep their faces neutral but they couldn’t stop the hopeful look in their eyes. Johnny had amazingly managed to stay quiet, but the look on his face was like an expectant dog, begging for a treat.
You sighed, taking a long drink from your glass before setting it down on the coaster.
Tumblr media
Next part is the last one. This took on a life of it's own and while I loved writing this little series, I think I'm going to focus on pairings of 3 or less people for a bit.

Little White Lies (m)
Tumblr media
Pairings: Satoru Gojo x Reader
Genre: Smut, basically pwp, kind of fluff for a bit
Word count: 5k~
Summary: Satoru gets too excited at the thought of being your husband.
Follow me on twitter: marmitasatosugu <3 I´ll proofread this some other day
You thanked God every day that Satoru had the attention span of a 2-year-old considering that you often got away with stuff solely because he was walking around pointing at random clouds or rambling about what movie to watch later. Shoko joked once that you should just leash him after he rushed excitedly to feed some pigeons on the street, but you just laughed it off – you loved the way he was, fully and completely.
Now to quote an example: after a few years of dating, sometimes you found yourself telling a little white lie around, simply because it was so much easier to just call Satoru your husband rather than your boyfriend, especially since it made people take you so much more seriously. It started small, workers had been referring to the man as your spouse for so long that at some point, you just stopped correcting them. It was great, it was practical; people would treat you with more respect and you would have fun inside your little fantasy world.
“My husband will pay for it, the one with the white hair over there.”
“Good afternoon, I´m looking for a gift for my husband.”
“My husband will pick it up later, thank you.”
“Put it on my husband´s tab, please.”
Satoru never caught on to it and you´d much rather that he never did – but once again, the probabilities of it happening were low: if you weren´t holding his hand, he was probably far from you, exploring the big world around him and all its wonders. But oh well, your luck couldn´t last forever.
“Good afternoon, Ms. Y/N,” The receptionist with the Hawaiian shirt smiled once you and Satoru walked inside the resort hand-in-hand. “This must be your husband, welcome to Crystal Waves, Mr. Gojo. Congratulations on the wedding!”
Frozen in place for a second, you couldn´t for the life of you look at your boyfriend. It´s not that you were ashamed, it was a silly little thing that you knew Satoru wouldn´t mind or judge you for, it´s just that… He would tease you so much, you´d never hear the end of it.
You had forgotten all about how when making the reservations, after a long conversation with the lady on the phone, somehow you ended up with free upgrades because apparently it was your honeymoon – Technically, all you said was that the reservation was for you and your husband, she was the one who, probably trying to be nice, commented that she was surprised because you sounded so young, therefore asking if you were newlyweds, so naturally you agreed because the little lie you told was now too far along to take back.
That was almost two months ago, of course you´d forgotten about it. If you hadn´t, you could have just filled Satoru in on the little story, he would love to play pretend, and this was right up his alley. But you didn´t, so before he could say anything, you swallowed down the embarrassment and pretended normality, “Good afternoon, Martha. Yes, this is he.”
You still didn´t look at Satoru, but you heard him thanking her amusedly.
“We´re so glad to have you here,” She smiled as another worker brought you welcome orange cocktails with a beautiful pink flower decorating the glass before guiding you towards the front desk for check-in.
“Did you have a chance to look at all the activities we offer?” Martha asked after you finished signing the paperwork. “For some of the schedules, we ask for the reservations to be made in advance.”
“Yes, that´s understandable. I´m interested in the SPA treatments; we can book it for tomorrow if you have any spots available.”
“Yes, of course. Are we going for the complete package, back massage, facial, scalp treatment, hot stones, body rub…?”
“I think the back ma-”
“Complete package,” Satoru interrupted, tightening the hold on your hand.
“Ok, perfect. 9 AM, 2 PM or 5PM?” Martha asked, clicking away on the computer, smiling up at Satoru for his romantic gesture.
“9 sound goods.”
“Any other plans?”
You waited for Satoru to answer, since he was the one who spent days rambling about some of the stuff he wanted to do, but since he stayed silent, you cleaned your throat and took it upon yourself, “The parasailing one, what days do you have it available?”
“Will it be just your husband or you´ll be going as well?”
“Both of us.”
“Looks like we have an opening two days from now at 3 PM, does that sound good?”
“Perfect, and what about the White Stones Trail?”
“It happens every Monday at 8 AM, should I book it for the two of you?”
“Oh God no, just for my husband, please.”
You didn´t even notice you got carried away in the role until Satoru dropped your hand, snaking his arm around your waist and pulling you slightly closed, his thumb rubbing the skin on your side. You still refused to look at him.
“Booked. Anything else?”
“We´d like to go scuba diving on Tuesday.”
“We have a boat leaving at 10 AM.”
“Sounds good. I guess that´s all for now.”
“All set then, these are the keys to your room. The elevator is at the end of the hall to your left, press 10. Your bags are already waiting for you inside. Hope you have an incredible stay and please find me if you need anything.”
You both thanked Martha before you spun in your heels and tried to make a run for it, your escape plan being quickly ruined by Satoru´s hand finding yours once again, holding you close. Taking a deep breath, you accepted defeat and prepared yourself mentally for the next days of hell.
“So…” Satoru started once you were out of earshot from the main desk. You didn´t look at him but you could tell just by the tone of his voice that he was smiling as you walked down the hall.
“Don´t start,” You warned.
“Too late. Husband, huh?”
“Listen, don´t get your panties in a twist-”
“Oh, I´m absolutely getting my panties in a twist.”
“There´s a logical explanation for all of this,” You informed as he pressed the elevator button.
“Which is?”
“I don´t want to talk about it.”
“But you will.”
You sighed, “When I made the reservations, I told them it was our honeymoon so we´d get upgraded and get like, some free stuff.”
The elevator doors dinged open and you walked in, not even being able to appreciate the paradisiacal panoramic beach view inside. Satoru dropped your hand now that you had nowhere to run, leaning against the glass window and crossing his arms to look at you attentively – At least that´s what you guessed since your eyes were glued to the ceiling.
“Y/N, I´m rich,” He stated as a matter of fact, because well, it was true. “You don´t need to lie to get stuff.”
Shit.
He caught you on your semi-lie - and he knew it too by the way there was a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
You shouldn´t have looked at him.
“Fuck, ok,” You rolled your eyes, annoyed that he wouldn´t just accept your answer and move on. Taking another deep breath, you carefully measured your words: “Sometimes, for practical reasons, I just tell people we´re married.”
“For practical reasons?”
“Yes, it makes my life easier in certain situations.”
“And how long have you been doing this for?”
Would this damn elevator never reach your floor?
“A few months.”
“And what are you telling people I am?”
“Are you stupid? If we´re married, you´re my husband.”
“Which makes you, my wife.”
The doors finally opened and Satoru reached for your hand, practically dragging you along with his abnormally long legs as you stared at his back.
“Yes Satoru, that´s the correct term.”
“So, you're telling people that you´re my wife?”
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, struggling to keep up with his pace and confused at his reaction. You expected insufferable teasing for the next few days and not… Whatever this was.
“Yes Sato – Are you ok? Did you hit your head or something?”
“No,” He finally stopped in front of your room, turning around to look at you with a huge smile on his face as you caught your breath. “I´m just so hard right now.”
“You- You´re what now?” You choked out as he searched his pockets for the magnetic card that opened the door. Your eyes automatically trailed down his pants and he was indeed not lying about his current state. “Do you have a thing for elevators?”
Satoru celebrated when he found the key, positioning it against the lock and smiling when he heard the engines turning, eyes back on you as he opened the door eagerly, “No, but I do have a thing for you calling me your husband.”
He didn´t wait for an answer, pulling you into the room and practically banging the door closed before pressing you against it. Satoru ripped his black glasses off, throwing them somewhere on the floor before bending down to your height so your faces were only inches apart.
“Say it again.”
“Satoru, let´s look around the room first, enjoy the view -”
“That can wait, I´d rather enjoy this view for now.”
“´Twas expensive,” You tried again.
“I´d spend all my money on you. Now say it again.”
“What?”
“Call me your husband.”
You were still so confused, was this a trap? For some reason, Satoru seemed to be enjoying it, a bit too much even. You let your walls crumble down slightly, wrapping your arms around Satoru´s neck so you´d be more comfortable.
“My husband?” You tentatively obeyed.
He instantly groaned, crashing his lips against yours with so much need that you felt like this was your first time all over again. He started by holding your face, his hands so big that he could hold your jaw with his palms while his fingers dug at the roots of your hair on your nape. He just held you like you were absolutely everything in the world to him and that got your legs weak. His tongue massaged yours and you were whining against his mouth in no time, hands clawing at his black shirt harsher every time he grinded against you. Satoru was equally as worked up, his chest heaving up and down as his hands left your face to grab at the back of your thighs, pulling you up so you could wrap your legs around his hips.
It was so much easier kissing him like this, since you were actually able to reach him. Unfortunately though, this new position got your boyfriend´s throbbing cock right against your core which you know, did nothing to calm you down. You grabbed at his hair in pure need, making a mess out of it as he left your swollen and wet lips alone to attack your neck.
“You´re so beautiful,” He groaned against your neck after he sucked at your jugular, his hips subconsciously bucking against yours. “Can´t believe you´re mine.”
“Satoru,” You moaned as he bit into the junction of your shoulder and neck.
His lips caught yours once again in another messy and aggressive kiss, his right hand leaving your thigh to start bunching up the bottom of your dress until he could see your panties.
“I could just take you right now,” He groaned against your lips.
“Then do it.”
The corner of his lips tugged up in amusement, “Now that´s no way to treat my wife, is it?”
His own words seemed to light another fire inside him, before you could even react, he was kissing you roughly once again, spinning the two of you around and carrying you towards the bed, where he threw you unceremoniously. You yelped at the impact and once more when he grabbed at your calves, pulling you to the edge of the bed. You supported yourself up on your elbows, so you could see when he went down to his knees in between your legs.
He stayed there on the floor for a few seconds, simply admiring the wet spot on your panties, your legs folded up so they wouldn´t be dangling from the edge of the bed. As you were about to complain, he pressed his thumb right on your clit over the fabric, before slowly rubbing circles with the pad of his finger, staring at what he was doing like he was hypnotized. A gasp left your lips at the surprise feeling and his eyes, which were so focused, snapped out of the trance to look up at you.
As your eyes met, he smiled, “My wife.”
“What´s up with you?” You shakily asked as he gently slid your panties down your legs, throwing them away somewhere.
“I just like the sound of it,” Satoru answered as he grabbed at your thighs once again, positioning them on his shoulders, placing a wet kiss on your inner tight.
Your head fell back in pleasure when he bent down, slowly licking your slit from bottom to top before giving your clit a light suck. He then pulled away slightly and you could already see his lips glistening, his arms wrapped around your tights firmly.
“Tell me you´ll marry me.”
You raised an eyebrow at him, not familiar with this type of foreplay and not sure if this was the right setting for this type of discussion. In response to your silence, he dove back in, his tongue eagerly working on your clit – Why did your boyfriend, besides being rich and extremely hot, also have to be good at just fucking everything?
As soon as you left a moan out and he felt your body start twitching at his ministrations, he leaned back once again, “Tell me.”
He looked at you so hungrily that you heard yourself answering before even realizing, “I´ll marry you, Satoru.”
“And that we will have a big, beautiful family.”
And suddenly, it all made sense: Gojo Satoru, the single most powerful sorcerer in the whole world, unraveled at the thought of marrying you, of you being his, of being loved and having a happy family. Your chest filled with so much love suddenly; your boyfriend was such a loser.
“I´ll give you all that,” You agreed.
Even if it was a fantasy, for this moment it didn´t have to be.
You gave him the answer he wanted, and he excitedly went back to his job after hearing your words. His tongue expertly lapping at you in between kisses and sucks, one of your hands flying to grab at his hair to try and ground yourself. Even after years with this man, you´d never be able to get used to just how good he was at fucking you - and today especially, after a long time of not being touched because either you or him were always away for work, you were feeling extra sensitive.
Satoru knew exactly what to do to get you squirming in record time, flatting his tongue to draw circles against your clit, flicking his tongue from side to side, up and down, fucking it into you and it just drove you absolutely crazy. Even his groans of pleasure as he ate you out with so much hunger, vibrating against you, got your head spinning.
“I´m close,” You moaned, as if he didn´t already know.
“Not yet, hang in there,” He stopped, breathing hard and turning his head to the side, vehemently kissing the inner part of your thigh twice more before sitting up on his knees. “I´m having fun.”
He completely ignored your whines of protest, sitting you up so his face was now right in front of your boobs. Satoru smiled in victory at the view, softly sliding the two straps of your dress down your shoulder until all the fabric fell to your waist. Your boyfriend wasted no time, kissing all over the skin of your chest and leaving what soon would be many deep purple marks, his thumb teasing your nipples.
“Have I told you how much I love your boobs?”
“A few times,” You joked in between gasps, you both knew he would tell you that like, at least once a day.
“If I could just hold them all day I´d be the happiest man on earth,” Was the last thing he said before his mouth latched around your nipple, your back arching into the touch.
Once Satoru was satisfied with his work, he gently pushed you back into bed and climbed on top of you, supporting his weight on his two arms. At this point, you were just praying that he would fuck you already, you were dripping, walls clenching around nothing so desperately it hurt – and your boyfriend wasn´t much better, in this position you could feel very clearly how much his cock was throbbing.
You whined in need as he stared at you with his pretty blue eyes and laughed at your desperation – as if you couldn´t see he was about to cum in his pants too.
“What does my baby want?” He smirked condescendingly, amused at your need.
“To be fucked,” You groaned.
“Ah, anything for my wife,” He agreed, now only supporting his weight on his left arm as he snaked his other hand in between your bodies. “Just let me open you up first.”
You would complain you didn´t need to be prepped, but before you could say anything, his middle finger was already inside you and you forgot what you were going to say. He gently and languidly pumped his finger in and out a few times, adding another when he considered you were good to go.
You were a whiny mess, especially when he curled his fingers and found spots no one ever could before.
“Will you take my family name?” Satoru asked suddenly, his face right in front of yours, attentively watching your expression, his hair tickling your forehead. You were too out of it to even process the words coming out of his mouth. “You know the Gojo Clan is one of the most important and powerful clans in the country. It would sound nice, Gojo Y/N.”
He smiled kind of sadistically at your dazed expression before continuing, his fingers not stopping even once, “Or I could take your last name, I don´t mind. Who gives a fuck about the Gojo Clan anyways? I just suggested it ´cause I´d love everyone to know you´re mine.”
Satoru sped up his fingers and you grabbed his arm, your whole body shaking as your high approached, “But if you accept, you´ll be the heiress of everything, everything will be yours, including me. You can do anything you want, order whoever you want, and spend whatever you want, I´ll let you rule over it all, one snap of your fingers and it´s yours. My wife, the head of the Gojo clan.”
A dragged-out moan left your lips not only because of his restless fingers inside of you, but also because of the whole scenario he was painting, he wanted you to have it all, he wanted to be the one to give you everything. He felt the way your walls were squeezing around him and smiled, slowing down his fingers, “But for now, I´ll be a good husband and fuck my beautiful wife until she´s crying.”
At that, your eyes lit up, quickly sitting up to unbutton his shirt as he unzipped his pants. Once he was done with his trousers, he started helping you with the buttons and you abandoned your task, deciding to litter the already exposed parts of his chest and abdomen with kisses, an “I love you” leaving your mouth in between each touch of your lips on his skin – Because you did, you loved him so much.
The show of affection drove Satoru crazy, harshly throwing his shirt away. You were equally insane at the sight of your boyfriend in just his boxers, practically salivating as if this wasn´t the thousandth time you´d seen him like this. He caught you looking at him in pure awe and smiled, leaning over you for a quick sweet kiss before getting rid of his boxers.
“I´ll get you a ring so big it´ll weigh on your finger,” He informed as he climbed on top of you. “Everyone will be able to spot it from miles away.”
“Don´t want it, just want you.”
“You already have me,” He held your face, his eyes so intense you froze for a second. “Always had, always will.”
“What a simp,” You teased as if you weren´t right about to cry.
“Only for my wife,” He smiled, admiring your face.
“And now will my husband finally please fuck me?”
You said it kind of jokingly, but the title appeared to do the trick anyways; you felt his cock twitching against your thigh before he grabbed at one of your legs, pushing your knee slightly up and groaning as he grabbed his member to position it against you.
After all this lovey-dovey talk, you kind of expected Satoru to want to make slow gentle sappy love to you, and you wouldn´t exactly mind since that was amazing as well, but oh you were so wrong. You had miscalculated how horny the thought of being your husband got your boyfriend, because as he entered you, a loud groan left his lips and while normally he would wait for you to adjust to his size, this time he just kept going. At least he was slow with it, slow enough that you could feel every vein, every inch of his skin against your walls, every ridge, every bump.
You dug your nails into his back to distract yourself from the discomfort as he bottomed out, his lips open in a silent moan, and you caught yourself thinking about how lucky you were; out of everyone in the world, you were the only one who got to see the Honored one like this, so vulnerable and beautiful and yours.
“You feel so good,” He breathed out, beginning to drag his cock out. “Every fucking time.”
You didn´t care if it hurt, you wanted him to destroy you, “Satoru?”
“Yes, beautiful?”
As he started fucking into you again, you lost your words, but the pleading look you gave him and the drag of your nails down his back sent him the message loud and clear.
“Oh,” He smirked. “How am I so lucky?”
You felt his lips on yours as he began to speed up his hips, his right hand wrapping around your thigh so he could pull you flush against his cock. You cursed, feeling like you were being impaled, “Fuck.”
“To have a beautiful sweet loving wife who wants to be fucked like a slut.”
His hips were so smooth yet so fast, knowing all the right angles to get you biting at his shoulder and squeezing your walls around him.
“And you know what´s the best? All these men wanting you will have to know you´re only mine.”
It came as a surprise to you after a few months of dating that Satoru Gojo was a jealous boyfriend. It made absolutely no sense to you, considering that he was… well, Satoru Gojo. Like, what do you mean the strongest and most powerful man in the world, who could end all civilization with a flick of his finger if he wanted to, got bothered when you and Nanami took a cooking class together?
However, you kind of liked his possessiveness over you, especially when it made him thrust harder into you, got his tongue in your mouth in public, or his hand around your neck at a bar.
He felt the way you clenched at his words, breaking apart from you with a groan and flipping you around before you could even process what was happening. The way he could just throw you around so easily got you moaning into the sheets as you arched your back waiting for him.
Satoru didn´t leave you waiting for long, a second later he was already bottoming out inside you once again, and the hotel sheets were proven to be good quality when they didn´t rip under your fingers as he fucked you like his life depended on it.
You were completely lost, brain scrambled as you communicated through moans and gasps, especially when he pulled you up by the neck so your back stood against his chest. His hand stayed there, holding you in place and choking you as his other hand teasingly found its way down your abdomen, finding your clit as its destination.
Your whole body was shaking, Satoru´s arms were probably almost bleeding with how harshly your nails dug into it so you wouldn´t scream.
“You were made for me. Your pussy was made for me,” His moan was raspy against your ear. “Mine. Only for me. Your husband.”
Satoru was close and you were doing your best to buck your hips back to meet his thrusts, already at the edge too with the way his finger kept rubbing number eights against your clit. You stretched your hand back to grab at his hair, stupid at the feeling of being fucked open. He groaned at you pulling his hair, biting your shoulder to warn you he was about to cum.
“Inside,” You rasped.
He literally shivered at your words, a loud moan leaving his mouth as he thrust into you deeper than anyone had ever been before, including himself. Your vision went blank, your orgasm hitting you without warning and no time for you to prepare yourself, your body twitched violently as gasps left your lips, knowing you would have fallen like a doll if Satoru hadn´t been holding your neck.
“Oh, fuck. Fuck,” He cursed, losing control at the way your walls were crazily clenching around him.
His wet and warm mouth was soon on your shoulders, desperately kissing the bite marks he was leaving. You barely felt as he came inside you, or how his cock twitched against your walls, or how you could barely breathe with how tight he held your neck once his orgasm hit, too lost in your own pleasure. You did hear the beautiful noises coming out from his lips, prolonging your orgasm.
Once the two of you came back to reality, breathing hard, Satoru gently let go of your neck, softly rubbing his thumb over the red marks. As expected, your legs failed to hold you and your chest met the bed a second later, your eyes closed to try and come down from your high.
Satoru stayed on his knees, eyes glued to the way you were dripping out because of your walls´ spasms. He just couldn´t help himself, gathering all his cum that spilled with his fingers, ignoring your whines of protest, and pushing it all back in.
“Just a second baby,” He answered dazedly, his fingers still working.
He was obsessed, addicted to the view. No matter how much your body twitched because of the overstimulation, he couldn´t stop pumping his fingers into you, feeling how wet and slick you were around him. He groaned at the way your lips were swollen because of him, thumb gently rubbing your clit. He continued until your whines turned into moans, until your hips stopped trying to run away and instead bucked back against his fingers, until he felt himself getting hard again.
You didn´t complain when you felt his cock entering you once again, his lips worshiping your back as your eyes remained closed, slightly arching your hips to give him better access as he slowly and gently fucked you. Satoru caressed your hair and kissed your temples, your nape, your eyes, all while calling you beautiful and telling you how much he loved you.
…………………………………………….
“Gojo Satoru.”
Sensing your tone, he didn´t answer in pure fear.
The silence made you leave the bathroom, staring at your boyfriend who was in bed looking at you with wide eyes, “What´s wrong, baby?”
“We´re at a beach resort,” You said in between gritted teeth. “How the fuck am I supposed to go to the beach when it looks like I have been mauled by a bear after being dragged around town by a car?”
“I´m sorry, I got carried away.”
“Oh my god, call Martha and cancel the SPA day tomorrow.”
“I can give you a massage-”
“You´re never touching me again, Satoru.”
He smirked at that, “Yeah, give me a few hours and we´ll see.”
You hated that he was right.

You checked your phone for the tenth time in the span of a minute. It had become unbearable to witness yourself desperately checking to see if Sukuna wrote you. Sure, you had ignored all his attempts to get in touch in the past few weeks. It didn't mean that you didn't enjoy knowing that he took his time to pester you with messages or take a break while driving between blackmailing some CEO for money and checking the status of the new cargo to call you five times in a row. Sukuna was persistent, if anything, and, as annoying as he was in his conviction that you still belonged to him, you found it incredibly satisfying to see him chasing after you.
However, since yesterday, the messages stopped pouring, your phone has gone silent, and your thoughts had turned your head into a mess. Did he give up on you already? Isn't that what you wished for, though?
"Thank you again for agreeing to meet." You said as the tall blond man came back to the table with your coffee. You argued that it was you who took him out so you would pay. Nonsense, he quickly dismissed you and remembered your usual order like it was yesterday.
"No need to thank me." He respectfully said, sitting down in front of you.
It was pouring outside, a quick summer storm that cooled off the heat of the previous days. It had started raining just after you met at the small café in your neighborhood.
You've known Nanami Kento since college. You graduated one year apart but you were part of the same friend group that ultimately didn't survive after graduation. However, you ended up working at the same company, until he resigned more than a year ago.
"How have you been?" He asked, taking a sip of his black, unsweetened coffee. Polite, as always, showing enough interest in your life while generally minding his own business, Nanami was the only coworker you ever really got along with.
"Fine, fine." Both of your hands were wrapped around the cold glass full of iced coffee. "Work is shit, like always." He nodded slightly, showing you that you had his full attention. "Actually this is why I wanted to talk to you."
Adjusting to life without Sukuna was hard. You've grown so used to his presence in your life that you stopped noticing how much of a difference he made. He would be in front of your house, one hour after you turned off your work laptop, to pick you up and go for dinner. On days when you worked from the office you would meet for lunch, occasionally, or he would drop by with takeout. On weekends you would go on longer rides by car or sometimes you would hop on the back of his motorbike and go to the seaside. He was filling most of your time and, after that dreadful night, you suddenly realized you had no idea how to exist on your own.
So you buried yourself in work.
Sukuna always hated it when you worked overtime. But now that no one was texting you to be ready, entertain you with riddles about the dress code and your new destination, you found it easier to spend half an hour more fixing some issues at work. Soon it turned into full hours. In two weeks, you ended up realizing that you hated your workplace. You hardly got along with any coworker, the tasks were piling by the hour, the pay started to seem too little for the effort you were putting in. In reality, nothing had changed. Only your perception, since you had no way to blow off steam anymore. Things were easier to tolerate when you knew that you would see your boyfriend.
"I want to quit. I can't stand it anymore." Your fingers were cold and wet because of the glass. "I know you work at the institute now. If there's any vacant position sometime, could you let me know?"
You felt bad for turning to Nanami, honestly to anyone, asking for things. However, you felt the desperate need for a change in your life. Or maybe you tried to cope with the lack of Sukuna's presence in your life by changing it completely.
"I mean, we have similar background, we graduated the same program."
You felt anxious asking for a favor, especially since you haven't seen him since he resigned and only kept in touch through few messages. So you started talking too much, justifying yourself, trying to get rid of the little voice inside your head that was saying you're a burden.
"I don't even want a recommendation or something, the thing is that I know these posts aren't usually public and someone with connections ends up getting it before the normal person can apply.” The more you tried to explain yourself, the guiltier you felt. Nanami, on the other hand, patiently waited for you to finish, not interrupting or dismissing your worries.
"Of course I'll help, y/n." He said as he leaned back in his chair.
"Thank you. And sorry."
"No need. We're friends." You smiled gratefully. You could always count on Nanami.
You continued to catch up with him while munching on some pastries. You almost forgot to check your phone as often. It felt nice to talk to one of your old friends, especially since you had locked yourself inside your room for the past two weeks. At some point, over the muffled voices of people and the generic song playing in the café you heard the sound of a motorbike engine hurring on the street. You mentally cursed at your heart for beating faster, immediately associating the sound with the image of your ex-boyfriend.
"Yeah, so apparently they have been hooking up the whole time and everyone found out during the team building. It's only rumors I've heard since I didn't go." You were telling Nanami the latest gossip about some coworkers when you noticed he wasn't paying attention to your story. His eyes were focused somewhere behind you. He muttered a quick excuse for ignoring you and you turned your head to see what he was looking at.
Goddamn it.
Sukuna was piercing you with his gaze as he walked in the small café, having girls follow his tall figure with their eyes as he passed by them with determined steps. His pink hair was a mess because of the helmet he just took off and he ran a hand through his longer strands to put them back in place. You rolled your eyes when you met his gaze, clearly annoyed by what was about to happen. Somehow, coming to a small neighborhood café just to make a scene while looking unbearably attractive was easier than saying ‘I'm sorry’.
Sukuna hated when you rolled your eyes at him. Coincidentally, he found it very arousing. Being a brat was one of your specialties but it seemed that now you were testing his limits a little too much. You turned back to Nanami in an attempt to reassure him you could handle this on your own but Sukuna was already by your table before you could finish your sentence.
"You've proved your point. Let's go home." He said, looking down at you. He had his hands in his leather jacket's pockets, exuding a very laid back attitude, reinforced by the calmness of his voice. He was talking to you as if you were a toddler.
The fluttering feeling in your stomach at the sight of his handsome face, which you hadn't seen in over two weeks, was crushed by the curious and longing eyes of every girl in that damned café scanning your ex from head to toe. The mix of anger and disgust you first felt when you first saw that dreadful video had come back to every fiber of your body and you clenched your fist so tight that your nails were digging stinging holes in your palm.
"Can't you see I'm busy?" Your voice almost screeched while trying to contain your vexation.
"Y/n, I'm not playing this game anymore." He said as his large hand found the nape of your bared neck, your hair up in a high ponytail. The touch of his fingers on your skin sent bolts of excitement in your whole body, straight between your legs, and you had to rub your thighs together on the chair to brush the feeling away. Nanami sat up, ready to say something in your defense, but you had already slapped Sukuna's hand away and sat up yourself. He looked down at your smaller body with an irritated expression, the tattoos on his face making him seem even more dangerous than he actually was.
"Sorry, Kento-kun. I'll be back in five." You excused yourself with a smile before making your way out, your shoulder brushing harshly against Sukuna's chest on your way. He followed you out, and you knew all those girls' eyes were on his every move. The thought drove you insane.
"Kento-kun, huh?" Sukuna mocked you when you finally stopped under the roof in the empty inner garden of the café. Usually it was full of customers but now the rain was washing over the empty white metal tables and chairs with soothing tapping sounds. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from his pockets but you quickly whined in annoyance.
"Don't. I hate the smell.”
Both his eyebrows raised in a perfect mix of surprise and irritation, almost like he couldn’t believe the words coming out of your mouth. You never bothered to mention this aspect whenever your eyes would follow him longingly from the bed as he would light up a cigarette after fucking you rough, one finger playing with your lower lip. He chose to dismiss the thought as his head lowered so his eyes could look directly into yours, one hand placed at the side of your head against the wall. The smell of rain combined with his familiar and comforting perfume had your knees weaken while you tried to challenge his inquiring eyes.
“It took you two weeks to find a new personality?” His look was intimidating. You weakly tried to push him away pressing your hands against his chest but he didn’t even flinch. He sneered at your false effort, enjoying the warm feeling of your hands still lingering over the fabric of his white t-shirt.
“Why are you here, S’kuna?” You asked. Every time you imagined seeing him again you hoped to express your anger coherently, determined to let every single speck of negative emotion out of your system. You wanted to yell at him, hit him, make him understand the ruckus raising inside your heart because of him. But now all you could do was look at him with pleading eyes, almost begging him to tell you what you wanted to hear, what would finally allow you to forget everything and let yourself fall in his arms again.
“I came to stop you from embarrassing yourself.” You rolled your eyes again, pushing him with more force this time. He was still unmoved. You crossed your arms under your chest, unintentionally pushing at your breasts. He could notice the slight movement at the edge of his field of view, without taking his eyes off yours. He loved that baby blue fitted t-shirt of yours, with lace around the generous cleavage. And you wore it to see Kento-kun. The way you said that man’s name echoed in Sukuna’s brain and the thought altogether made him lose his mind.
“No, you are embarrassing me.” You spat back. You couldn’t believe you really expected him to give you what you what you wanted so easily.
“Half the city knows you’re my woman.” His other hand grabbed you by the arm, as if trying to shake you out of your stubbornness. Or keep you there, so you wouldn’t leave his side, no matter if you wanted to.
“We broke up, do you need a public statement for that?” It was painful even to you to say those words. You never thought you had officially broken up, not as long as you still hoped Sukuna would get over himself and admit that he was wrong, that he would never do that again. Because he loved you. But you let those venomous words out of your mouth in an attempt to see him feel only a fraction of the hurt you were containing in your heart.
Sukuna didn’t answer. He didn’t have any smart reply for that. He looked at you in silence, the only sound echoing between the two of you being the tapping of raindrops on the ground. He really did think you were simply acting like a brat, dismissing his efforts to talk only to have him chase you. Sukuna knew you loved that and, from time to time, you would push him away so you could see him make an effort to get to you. He never understood your reasons, but he entertained your caprices, enjoying the occasional taunting resembling a mouse and a cat constantly on the hunt. This time, it didn’t seem like a game anymore.
You wanted to kiss him so badly. You wouldn’t allow yourself, though, but your eyes would move from his eyes to his lips, his plump soft lips that you desperately wanted to bite on. You had left him speechless, with a helpless look on his face that only made you pity him. Pressing your lips together, you forced yourself to leave, since your knees were weaker by the minute and your arms were aching to be around his neck.
As you turned away, his hand gently fell down your arm, the tips of his fingers brushing over your bare skin, and he grabbed you by the wrist, keeping you in place.
“Give me another chance.” Sukuna almost begged. It was a pathetic sight, the tall muscular man, dressed in all black, with tattoos on his face, his whole presence imposing and intimidating, begging a woman like you to take him back. It almost made you give up. Almost.
“Give me one good reason.” You said, surprised by the composure of your voice in contrast to the hurricane of feelings in your heart.
“I miss you.” His eyebrows were raised in a pitiful plea.
“You’ll get used to it.” It wasn’t enough. You tried to break free from his grip but he held on your wrist as if it was the only thing allowing him to breathe.
“Don’t you miss me, y/n?” There it was. When his deep voice and mesmerizing eyes were failing to reach you he would retort to emotional blackmail. Of course you missed him, you cursed at yourself when you hesitated to answer, when the loud voice in your head was screaming to you that yes, you missed him, you missed him so much and your entire life felt pointless, that you hardly enjoyed anything since you last saw him, that you missed his comforting words and his safe arms and his handsome face.
“Someone is waiting for me.” You said as he let go of your wrist.
Sukuna watched as you turned your back to him, your long ponytail wiggling in the air with every step you took further away from him. He hated to see you go. Leaning against the wall, he lit up that cigarette only after you were out of his sight. It was such a peaceful rainy day when everything seemed to have slowed down, drenched in the humid air. His eyes were fixed on one small table for two in the corner of the garden, protected from the rain by a tall tree. It was your favorite spot, in your favorite café where he would find you reading sometimes, while sipping on iced tea. You always laughed at him whenever he would pick you up from there. His dark unapproachable figure made such a big contrast with the softness of the garden full of flowers. Sukuna always thought you fit so well there, like a goddess of the spring with your flowy skirts and your pretty round face.
He sighed, a thin cloud of smoke forming in the air as it blew out of his mouth. You were so different, almost opposites. This is why you worked so well together, you completed each other. He let his head fall back, resting against the wall, as he looked at the sky that was already starting to clear up. He wasn’t going to erase that tattoo off his skin just as he wasn’t going to allow you to erase him out of your life.

Just Take It | Jeon Jungkook | Part 7
Tumblr media
Summary: Your friend "date" with Jungkook is interesting but thankfully the events from this morning don't prevent you from having a good time. Pairing: Inexperienced f!reader x Best Friend's Dad Jungkook (20 year age gap) Word Count: 3.8K (I'm sorry it's short but I wanted to get it out since it's been way too long) Warnings: No real warnings other than slightly jealous and possessive Jungkook (but we all know that's a good warning 🤭) a/n: It's been fucking four months I'm so sorry 😭 It's been so hard for me to update my series recently since my attention span literally sucks right now so one shots have been a lot easier to get out but hopefully some of you guys are still around to read this story 🥲 p.s. the last third of this isn't edited at all so please ignore any nonsense 😅
After Jungkook and I finally agree on an outfit for me to wear we head off to whatever mysterious location he's taking us to.
"You gonna pout all the way there?" he teases, pointing out my crossed arms and legs and the fact that I haven't spoken to him since we left. "I told you I hate surprises" I grumble, the feeling of the unknown making me uncomfortable.
"You've gotta live a little Darling" he teases and goes back to driving. He hands me his phone that's plugged into the aux as a sign for me to put on a playlist and that brings up my mood right away. He chuckles when he sees me put on my favorite song since he knows that music always lifts my spirits.
"You're never gonna get tired of this song are you?" he sighs, this being the twelfth time he's asked. "Nope" I answer, popping the 'p' at the end. "This song came out when you were two years old" he chuckles, trying to clue me in but I don't pay any mind to it. "All the more reason to like it!" I argue back and he shakes his head.
"Perfect Man by Shinhwa is a masterpiece and I will accept no arguments" I say, making my statement on the matter final.
There's a quiet air that's hung between us for a couple moments before when both bust out laughing. "I swear we never fail to have the same conversation every time I play this song" I point out and he smiles.
"That's because I love watching you defend something with your whole being. It's cute" he says and my throat gets dry.
This being the first semi flirty comment he's thrown at me since everything happened. Well, besides commenting on how I look because who wants to be told nothing after putting on a cute outfit, even when he's the one who's chosen it.
His comments have been nothing but respectful so there's no harm in letting him do as he pleases but it's just making this whole friends ordeal a lot harder.
~~~~~~
As we pull up to the place he had kept a secret from me I realize why he had me wear this specific outfit since from the looks of it we've come to some sort of ropes course.
"I've never been to one of these" I say, marveling at the zip lines, ropes, ladders and pulley systems that are strewn about this forested area.
"Do you wanna give it a try? We can always just go to the restaurant they have here but I thought I would still offer it since I told you I had something fun planned for us" he offers, leaving the choice up to me but I nod my head immediately, really wanting to try it out.
"Yeah?" he chuckles when he sees my excitement grow. "Yes! Come on let's go!" I say, grabbing his hand and trying to drag him along.
"Wait a second Bunny" he chuckles, holding me back and I watch him as he opens the trunk and grabs a big hoodie for me to wear. "So we don't mess up that pretty little top you're wearing" he says and the playfulness around the statement making my heart skip a beat.
"I could've brought my own" I say but he shakes his head in protest. "It's easier this way so you don't have to worry about it getting dirty, now arms up" he says and I furrow my brow. "Jungkook I can put it on myself" I laugh but he doesn't find it amusing. "I know, arms up" he orders and I do as he says, laughing at the no doubt comical sight of him struggling with it.
"You know now that I think about it it's a lot easier to take your clothes off than it is to put them on" he casually says, making me wack him in the arm once the hoodie is on properly. "Friends Jungkook. Or I can go back to calling you Mr. Jeon" I say with an arched brow and he chuckles. "Friends" he agrees and closes the trunk.
"So can we go now?" I ask, glancing over at the course before looking back to him for approval. "Yes Bunny go ahead" he says, giving me the go ahead and following after me as I make a bee line for the equipment room.
"Hi!" I say excitedly to the guy at the counter when it's my turn to check us in. "Hey, first time?" he chuckles, me looking around at everything with a childlike wonder in my eyes. "Yeah! I honestly didn't even know a place like this existed around here" I admit, Jungkook again taking me to a place I had never been before.
I guess he really is determined to take all of my firsts.
"Well I hope you'll come around more often then, there's a whole lot more to experience than just these ropes" he says and in my awestruck state I don't notice the suggestive tone behind his wording.
"You find something you like?" he asks, my sight going past him and looking at all the harnesses. "I have a friend that's coming in a second so do you think you could get us two?" I ask while pointing at them.
"Sure, is your friend as pretty as you are?" he asks and before I can even think of a response someone is interrupting our conversation. "I would think so" I hear a deep voice say behind me, his hand placed on my hip in a slight possessive manner making my breath hitch.
The boy's eyes widen a bit, looking at the dynamic between the two of us and doesn't exactly know what to make of it and decides to go find harnesses for the both of us.
"What was that?" I ask, whipping around and glaring up at him. "What? We agree to be friends for a little while and suddenly you're ready to jump ship?" Jungkook says, crossing his arms and watching as the boy not so casually glances over at us.
"He was just being friendly" I scoff, knowing for a fact that he wasn't but playing into this oblivious act I had accidentally fallen into. "Right...friendly" he says in a monotone, not wanting to get into a senseless argument and taking the high road. I don't miss the way his hand balls into a fist for a second before relaxing it once I've decided to drag him over to look at the little souvenirs they have in the shop.
"Alright here's a harness for you, and one for you sir." the employee says, a flirtatious tone in his voice when he addresses me and a more strict and professional voice when he addresses Jungkook.
"Did you want some help putting that on?" the boy asks, clearly just taking it as a chance to get closer to me since Jungkook's slight display of possessiveness of me wasn't a big enough clue that we may...or may not be together. "Oh no that's okay, I'm sure you've got other things to do" I deny, stepping into it on my own and in true y/n fashion I end up tripping over one of the straps.
"Careful Darling" Jungkook says, steadying me on my feet and when I look back over at the boy he's awkwardly frozen with his arms out, having intended to help me but decided against it since he was smart enough to realize that it might not be the smartest idea.
I look between the boy and Jungkook and see how Jungkook hasn't stopped glaring at him no matter how uncomfortable the boy is. "Looks like you've got other customers to help" Jungkook says, nodding towards the people at the counter, clearly looking to check in just as we did.
"Right, well let me know if you need anything" he responds, his focus completely on me as he relays his message. "I will" Jungkook jumps in and the boy nervously glances between the two of us before heading over to the counter and helping the group of four that just came in.
"Was that really necessary?" I ask, my arms crossed over my chest as Jungkook tightens the harness on me, making sure I won't need any 'help' with it later. "He was trying way too hard and he clearly couldn't get a clue about us" he says, his glare still prevalent in his direction.
"Jungkook there isn't an 'us' right now okay" I say and he sighs. "Keep on telling yourself that" he mumbles quite enough that I couldn't make it out when another crowd comes in. "What was that?" I ask but he quickly brushes it off and herds me out of the store before it gets even more crowded.
As we wait for the group to now gather in the waiting area outside neither of us have spoken a word to each other, stealing glances every so often since we just can't help it. We're attracted to each other and from my point of view I don't think that's gonna change anytime soon.
"Alright everyone can I get you all gathered over here?" that same guy from inside the shop calls out and we all do as he says with Jungkook cursing under his breath. "Fucking fantastic, he's our leader" he grumbles but I grab him by the arm and drag him so we can catch up with the group.
"Come on I thought you said this was supposed to be fun" I say and he sighs, collecting himself and slowly changing his attitude. "Alright I'm sorry Darling" he says, not dragging his feet or sulking anymore and putting that nonsensical jealously out of his head...at least for right now.
"Alright welcome welcome everyone to BranchBound Adventures! How's everyone doing today?" he asks and we all let out cheers of excitement but what I don't notice is the way that Jungkook looks at me with a soft smile when he realizes again how much I'm loving this already. He takes a mental note to bring me here again soon so he can watch that same childlike excitement bloom again.
"Excellent, looks like we've got a fun group here today! Well my name is Jayson and this is Kimberly and we're gonna be your BranchBound Buddies, sound good?" he says and I can't ignore the way Jungkook snorts at the title they've been given but it's only loud enough for me to hear thankfully.
"Behave!" I scold, not wanting to turn this into some sort of immaturity contest when he knows damn well he's a grown ass adult and he should not be acting like this. He holds his hands up in surrender when he sees my glare but can't help but smirk at the fact that Jayson as we've recently found out his name is watching our exchange.
As the day goes by and we're close to the end of our little ropes course adventure Jayson decides it's now or never and decides to make another move.
"You've done a great job today! Didn't know you would be so good with ropes" he says, not hiding the fact that he's probably imagining using these ropes on me in a completely different context. "Yeah I didn't know I would be either" I chuckle and look over and see Jungkook glaring daggers into Jayson's forehead while he hooks me up to the zip line.
"Did you want to go nice and slow or fast?" he asks, his eyes drinking me in but I don't pay him any mind as I just watch the way that Jungkook is reacting to our exchange. "Y/n?" Jayson asks, breaking me out of the trance I had been lost in, thinking about what Jungkook would do to me after this if we were together.
"Sorry what?" I ask and I can tell that he's pretty much starting to get the memo at this point. "Nothing, just tuck your legs in close to you if you want to go faster" he explains and I nod my head and wait while Jungkook gets hooked up to the other line thats parallel to mine.
"Wanna race?" I challenge him since I know he would never back down from one. "What do I get if I win?" he says with a smirk.
"Whatever you want..." I say nervously and I have a feeling I'm going to regret that. "...but I want ice cream if I win!" I say to wipe away the tension but he brings it right back with his claim if he wins.
"I want a kiss" he says and when he clearly sees the way that I'm gearing up to protest a simple cock of his brow silences that. "You said that I could have anything I want right?" he asks I sigh and nod, my energy to go back on my word dissipating.
It's just one kiss right?
"Deal" I agree and he can't hold back the smile and vote of confidence it gives him. "Get ready to lose" he says and before I have a chance to argue back Kimberly is counting us off and in my semi scattered state Jungkook takes off before me giving him a ten second head-start.
"No fair!" I call after him when I'm finally able to catch up and he let's out a hearty laugh. "You're the one who proposed this whole race Bunny" he says making me look away, 'his timing with that nickname is always impeccable', I think to myself as I hide my blush.
"Hurry up!" I hear him call out as he is suddenly a lot further down the line than I am. "Hey!" I laugh, deciding to put that thought away to not sour my mood and just focus on there here and now.
Once I finally get to the end Jungkook has already gotten unhooked from the zip line and is standing victorious waiting to claim his prize.
"You only won because you're taller than me" I grumble as if I'm actually upset that he won when in fact the thought of him putting in effort just to kiss me make my heart beat faster. "I thought smaller things were supposed to be more aerodynamic" he teases in response but I huff and stand in front of him, clearly waiting for him to claim his reward.
"I didn't say when I was going to kiss you" he teases and walks away and back toward the shop where we had first come from since our time is up. "Hey!" I protest again, not liking the slight embarrassment he caused me.
"Oh come on you'll be okay" he teases as he takes his harness off and then helps me out of mine after. "Whatever" I huff and something behind me catches his eye and before I'm able to turn around he's knocking me off my feet and giving me a rather over exaggerated kiss if you ask me to the point that people are whistling and hyping us up.
I hit on his chest when I'm finally running out of air and he carefully puts me back on my feet and when I catch the sight of Jayson staring at us with an unreadable expression on his face I know now why he did that.
"You're insufferable" I huff and fix my rumbled clothes from his breathless kiss but he doesn't seem bothered in the slightest. "Interesting response after receiving a kiss that made you blush but I'll take it" he shrugs and we both head back into the gift shop for the last time so Jungkook can no doubt flaunt the fact that from Jayson's point of view we're together.
Honestly I could care less and I won't deny that it was hot as fuck watching him get angry with the very minimal interactions Jayson and I had but I won't let him have that satisfaction. "Didn't realize you were so insecure" I taunt and make sure his eyes are on me before I look over to where Jayson is still clearly watching us and give him a flirty wave goodbye with Jungkook hurrying to usher me out.
"I wouldn't be insecure if you were mine already so until then you'll have to be patient with me" he says through gritted teeth, a reaction I was hoping for from that little stunt I pulled. "I can manage" I say and walk off towards the only restaurant here where I'm sure he was planning on taking me and when he follows me and has a hand placed low on my waist to guide me there my suspicions are confirmed.
"Reservation for Jeon" he says to the host at the front desk and while he looks for it Jungkook's demeanor is a little softer, that soft maturity coming back from having us in a controlled and relaxed environment. "Right this way Mr and Mrs. Jeon" the host says and I practically choke on air at that, the title mistakenly given to me sending my heart into overdrive.
"Don't worry she's fine, come on Honey" Jungkook reassures the waiter as Jungkook encourages me along to follow him to our table.
Once we're seated our waiter comes by immediately to bring us water since I had clearly caused enough of a spectacle to garner a hurried solution for my coughing fit. He gives us our menus as well soon after and leaves us be, allowing me some more space to compose myself.
Jungkook can't hide the smile he's had since my reaction had started and has turn slightly smug at seeing the blush it had caused me. "Shut up" I grumble and take another gulp of water having traded his glass for mind since I had practically drank mine in one go after that.
"I didn't say anything" he chuckles leaving me glaring at him. "But your face did" I say after having put my almost empty glass back down on the table. "Oh yeah? And what is it saying now?" he asks, leaning forward as if he was giving me a better look at it.
"It's saying that you're enjoying the fact that I'm still squirming over the thought of being called Mrs. Jeon" I say and he sits back, proud of my intuition. "Impressive Bunny. Better get used to it though" he says cockily and I narrow my eye at him and scoff.
"You're pretty confident for someone I technically haven't agreed to date" I say but his smirk widens before throwing out a playful 'Yet' and our waiter is back at our table before I have a chance to argue back.
After the waiter has taken our order and a little while after is bringing out our food our conversations have gone back to what had been seen as normal for us. A slight flirty edge to his words which I not so subtly glare at in response always making him chuckle but it's getting harder and harder for me to want to do that.
Why should I scold him? It's not like I don't want him too...
As we finish up the day with the ice cream I technically did not earn we start to make our way back to his car where he opens the door for me and make it a point to put on my seatbelt so I can still enjoy the cone I'm almost finished with.
"Thanks Dad" I tease after he's buckled me in like a child and I'm granted a sarcastic smile in return only making me smile harder. He closes the door and gets in on his side and soon we're on our way back to the house...
~~~~~
The ride back is quiet, comfortable but quiet with the only sound being the hum of my playlist coming through the speaker and the gusts of cool air coming through the vents but it's soon broken by the question he's been wanting to ask.
"Did you have fun?" it's a simple question but I know thoughts of what had happened earlier today are coming back to him as we get closer and closer to the house. "I did, a lot actually. You're not too shabby at planning dates" I confirm and he glances over with a smirk.
"I thought this wasn't a date?" he counters and I chuckle. "It wasn't until you kissed me" I say and he shakes his head. "A kiss equals a date, got it" he says quietly, tucking that information into his back pocket and I can't help but smile as I see a soft one still rests on his lips.
~~~~
When we finally pull into the driveway and he turns off the engine I hold onto his arm for a second, asking him to stay in the car for a second so he does and sits back and keeps his eyes on me, waiting for what I have to say.
The thing is is that I don't know what to say, I don't even know why I asked him to stay in here but he just watches me fondly, not rushing anything and waiting patiently for me.
"I don't think we can be friends" I say, looking down at my lap so I can't see the expression he has on his face. "What do you mean by that Bunny?" he asks, that nickname making my heart skip a beat like it does every time and I shake my head, still looking down at my lap. "I mean, I don't wanna be friends" I say hoping he'll understand and when he lifts my chin I expect him to ask me to explain what I mean but instead I'm met with his lips on mine.
They're not full of passion or lust or anything of the sort. Just pure longing and understanding, understanding of the want to go about things at my own pace, an understanding that he's okay with going slow and that's all I need.
"We can go slow" he says after we've broken the kiss, audibly confirming what he had physically displayed and I bite back a smile and nod before placing a soft kiss on his lips.
"Thank you" I whisper and he pulls away to get a better look at me. "Whatever for?" he asks in such a cute way I can't help but laugh. "For not forcing me or making me feel bad about my indecision" I say and he smiles and cups my face, brushing his thumb along my cheekbone, a sad smile on his face at the thought of what I might've gone through with Jared that would require that sense of relief from his actions.
"I'm sorry about this morning" I say even softer this time and he nods, "I know" and those two words bring me comfort in ways that he couldn't understand even if I told him.
I was scared shitless that I had messed things up, that I had done something that could've damaged us beyond repair but his words and actions from today told me nothing of the sort.
His maturity shows that he knows what he wants and I want to open up and show him that in return...but I just hope I won't regret it.
Fairly Odd Parents; A New Wish finale spoilers!!
Tumblr media
Okay so am I the only one who didn’t like the fact that Hazel’s friends now know about the fairies?
Tumblr media
Because like, how do you go on from that? Maybe it’s because I never really got attached to her friends the same way I did with Dev, but it’s just racking my mind over how the episodes in season two will go.
It kind of feels like them knowing about the fairies will only cause troublesome situations like “oh it’s fine! Hazel can just wish us out of this mess” or “Hazel can you wish this for us please?” Which will probably cause a lot of problems, and there’s no going back from that.
It could be because on every site I watched FOPANW for free, it’s missing “The Wellsington Hotellsington” episode which I’m pretty sure is the episode where Winn gets formally introduced, and the trio’s friendship cements. I’ll probably have to buy that episode since websites don’t want to add it for some reason…
But now Season 2 most likely will be focused more on the trio and their shenanigans, so I don’t knowww… I’m really biased though, I love Dev as a character and I love his and Hazel’s dynamic (before the whole taking over fairy world thing)☹️
I like Jasmine and Winn but I just don’t care for them, you know?
And onto Hazel’s brother Antony, he’s cool and all but why does he need to know about the fairies?
Like I know this makes it SO much easier for Hazel, and it’s basically a huge weight lifted off of her, but story wise?? Eughhh I don’t know😖
I mean, if they explore his and Deja’s relationshipppp hmmm okayyyy😋😋 But I just know how they’d segue way into that, and thinking about it makes me uncomfortableeee!!
Tumblr media
Basically what I’m saying is, I CAN’T WAIT FOR SEASON TWO AND I HOPE THERE IS MORE DEV CONTENT!!!
PLEASEE don’t have Dev just be a one off antagonist☹️☹️
The theory that Dev keeps his memories because of his shades (and also his similarities to some other rich kid that was in the original series of whom I forgot his name) is cool, but also awkwarddd— because what does he do with that information?? Like okay buddy, you remember. Now what? He never had the best relationship with Peri in the first place!! I’d prefer if maybe season one went on WITHOUT Irep interfering or at least appearing but not appearing again until the next season, because THEN Dev and Peri could’ve connected at least a little, and Dev could have more realizations about “maybe I don’t need my father’s approval” or something— then in season two when Dev goes on a spiral or something, let’s say his dad ticks him off;
Dev tries to have a heart to heart with his dad after Hazel and Peri push him to,
“I feel like you don’t care about me, and all I want is for you to be proud of me—“
And his dad is like,
“Come back to me when you do something I can be proud of.”
SO THEN he becomes bitter at Hazel and Peri for “making” him go do that, and turns to Irep to take over Fairy World.
Tumblr media
Eughhhh but this is a kid’s show after all, and they want to cater to their attention spans so a show that takes a while to fully flesh out their characters would probably go right over some kid’s heads (or not, they could probably become smarter.)
I still love the show, and fanfiction exists for this exact reason—
I guess that’s enough of my Ramb-Lee’s for now, if anyone wants to talk about FOPANW, I’m here😝.
Tumblr media
(Dev looks so CUTE in this scene🥺)
Peace!!
Art x reader part 2
Note: This hasn't been proof read, so my bad if it's not the greatest I smashed this out in like 4 hours. So not the highest quality chapter. I might fix this up at one point, heavy maybe.
--------
You felt ill after the shift, it could be explained, it absolutely could be, right? Just a coincidence, a man dressing up to be a dick, then point at the plastic ring on your hand because he thought it was amusing, and joked that it was him who gave it. Yeah, just a joke, coincidence. You settled on it being a coincidence.
As soon as you got home, you took the ring of and but it on your bedside table, you didn't want to wear it, you were meant to Halloween night, but it completely slipped your mind.
However, that night, you heard on the news he somehow escaped the morgue today, in the morning. The news reporters stated the injuries, and allegedly a few people who work in the medical field said how unlikely it would've been for him to survive. They then stated that the poor mortician was brutally murdered too from him, because of course he had to do it. Does that mean it is possible he came to your work today? If that was him, why? He didn't have any blood, or any visible injuries at least. He moved perfectly fine.
You shook your head, there was no point in thinking about it. If you saw him again, then it absolutely wasn't a coincidence, as there would be no way to justify it. You then turned the TV off, then went to bed. The thoughts of him stuck in your mind as you laid there, the whole day repeating over in your head. How his attention was stuck on you, why that specific Cafe, and although again, the ring may just be him being a dick and not knowing. It still bothered you, all of that happening within the span of an hour. Eventually you fell asleep, your dreams, of course, had him there too.
The next morning you awoke in a cold sweat, your heart racing rapidly. Once you glanced around and noticed you were in your room, you felt relief.
Just a dream
Maybe you needed to ignore the news, take a break from social media for a few days or even a week. You had no doubt some people would be talking about stuff, but you just had to hope you wouldn't overhear anything. Maybe it'd be good to take a day off, though you knew your boss would be pissed and so as your co-workers. You've barely taken days off the whole year, maybe 3 at most.
You decided to send a message to your boss, explaining that you have some family stuff going on, and if you could take the day off tomorrow.
Hopefully he'd be fine with it.
You started getting ready, after showering
--------
You walked into the door of the Café, the ringing bell irritated your ears. You walked into the back, you had to do a bunch of dishes from last night since one of the other workers had to leave early. Your co-worker spotted then greeted you, "Hey, you look like shit."
You rolled your eyes, "Wow, what a nice way to say good morning Charlie."
They gave you a cocky smile, "I know I know, I'm wonderful aren't I?"
That damn smile was contagious, "Aww, and I've got you smiling too."
A small chuckle left you, "Yeah yeah, anyway, how longs your shift today? Anyone else in?"
"Uhh, till about 4. I have another job on the side to earn extra. And no, Laurie left about 10 minute ago, she had to leave early as she had an appointment."
"Ew, that's gotta be painful, and god damn it, it would've been nice having a third for today.
"It's painful, but moneys money, world can't go on without it." They sighed, "And I'm trying to save for a new car, the shitbox out there ain't gonna last much longer." They said, taking the eggs out the frypan. "Anyway, can we talk more during our break? Can't have customers complaining."
"Yeah sure, that'd be great actually." They then walked out with the plate of food.
Your morning was a lot easier to deal with after that interaction, although you hated to admit it, they were annoying at times but you loved them. They were a great friend, and made working a lot easier to tolerate.
You filled the sink and placed the dishes in there, cleaning the least dirty to the most. More and more dishes came, but you tried your best to stay ahead. The dishwasher was going to take forever and only could do a small amount at a time, so this is unfortunately a job that had to be done.
After about an hour, you were close to being finished, and so was the dishwasher. After, you put the dishes away, then went up to your Charlie to check if they needed help with anything.
"To be honest, not really, business is slower than normal, which is a fucking relief." They whispered, so none of the customers could hear.
"Nice, is Chloe gonna be here soon? It would be nice if she could cover the register, and we can chill in the back."
They shrugged, "Not sure, she's meant to be here at some point today but that's all I know."
You groaned, "Alright, since business is slow should I just sweep and mop now?"
You heard that cursed bell ring, and you heard a honk. You instantly turned around, wondering what that noise was.
"What the fuck..." Charlie muttered under their breath.
Your eyes widened, bile rose up in your throat. You stood still for a few moments as you locked eyes with that fucker, then you sprinted towards the staff toilet. You leaned over, the breakfast you ate not longer ago instantly came up. Your throat burned as acid tore at your throat. You clenched the toilet bowl as it kept going. You body shook rapidly from fear and shock.
What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck
Why is he here, it was meant to be a fucking coincidence. Do I have a murderer stalking me?
You weren't sure what to do, but after about a minute you heard your Charlie running over.
"Hey, hey!" They said crouching down, rubbing your back. "What the hell was that? Are you okay?"
You nodded, "Yeah...." You croakily mumbled, your legs wobbling as you slowly stood up.
"Stay there if you need to, I can handle the front for a bit."
You shook your head, "I'll be fine, it's fine. Just give me a minute and I'll clean up."
"Look Chloe should be here soon, when she gets here I'll explain you were sick so you had to leave. Got it?"
You rolled your eyes, "I'll be okay, I just got nauseous.-"
"No, you're heading home when she gets here."
You wanted to argue, but you knew it was probably a good idea. You didn't want to see... it again.
"Fine, can I help just till she gets here?"
"Yeah sure, just don't overwork yourself and let me know if you feel ill again."
You nodded, moving towards the sink to splash water on your face. "Alright, I'm gonna head back, don't rush yourself I can handle it." They patted your back again, then walked off.
You looked down at your shirt, and thankfully there was no vomit. So, you went back to helping Charlie. As soon as you were in the doorway you spotted him, sitting down. "Hey, is it okay if you could pass this to the customer in the clown suit real quick? I just need to prepare another order."
You nodded, trying to not show your fear to them. "Yeah, of course!"
While you walked over, you noticed his eyes were on you. You looked at the floor, knowing it was rude but you were so afraid. You put the pancakes down in front of the clown. "Here's your order... sir." You mumbled, giving a forced smile. As you starting walking away, he beeped the horn.
"Did you need something?"
He nodded, gesturing you to come closer.
He looked at your hand, a frown forming on his face. But not a second later is was replaced with that eerie smile. He stared at you as he purposely knocked the plate down onto the floor. It shattered onto the ground. He covered his mouth, giving an exaggerated 'Oops' face. A few customers looked over giving a confused and concerned expression.
Your face turned into a thin line, what the fuck "I'm sorry sir, I'll be back." You quickly muttered, walking to Charlie, "Hey, look I can't do this right now, can you please talk to the clown? I'll do whatever you were doing before. I'm just really uncomfortable around him."
They nodded, noticing you were shaken up. "Yeah that's fine, but what's going on? You look horrified, did something happen?"
You shook your head, "It's nothing, just can you help him?"
"Okay, I'll do that now, you just need to make a strawberry milkshake for table 5 while I deal with the clown."
"Easy." You immediately started to work on it, you scooped the ice-cream, poured the milk and strawberry-flavoured syrup and then blended it. You occasionally heard words from your Charlie while they were trying to communicate with the clown. But of course it went nowhere. As you were pouring the milkshake into a plastic cup, they came up to you. "I have no idea what he wants, he's not responding at all to me. I clean up the mess, but I don't know what else to do. Was he at least responding to you?"
"Yeah, I guess, but I really, really don't want to talk to him. He's... scaring me." You glanced at the floor, feeling embarrassed.
"It's okay, I'll figure something out. Other customers are starting to feel uncomfortable as well. Fuck, Chloe needs to get here soon."
"Yeah, hopefully, should I contact the boss?"
They nodded, "Can you contact Chloe first? We need her here soon."
"I'll do that now, I'll try and make it quick." You hurried out to the back again, pulling out your phone. You dialled her number, but it immediately when to voice mail. "What the fuck..." You murmured, trying again. And again. You groaned, then decided to send her a quick message.
Y/n: Hey, are you still coming into work today?
You hoped she'd read it soon, then you dialled your bosses number. Thankfully, you heard her voice on the other end.
"Hello?"
"Hey, I heard from Charlie that Chloe would be coming in today at some point. What time would she be here? She isn't picking up any of my calls. "
You heard a sigh on the other end, "Give me a moment."
After 15 seconds of rustling sounds, she answered. "Alright, it says she'd be on around 2pm till 8pm. Is she not there?"
"No, she's not. It's 2:30."
You heard another sigh from your boss, "I'll try and contact her, that's all I can do. Is that all you needed?"
"No, I was wondering what to do about a customer. One of them is making me and Charlie uncomfortable. He keeps.... just doing stuff."
"If you want advice I need more details."
You took a deep breath in, "For one he's in a clown outfit, which in itself isn't bad but it's just how he's acting doing it too. If that makes sense, and he purposely broke one of our plates, and acted like it was all funny. He then wouldn't talk to Charlie, only me. It's just such bizarre behaviour."
"Normally threatening them with the police will cause them to stop, but if he continues call the non-emergency line for the police. That's it."
"Alright, thank you."
"Bye." She said, the line ending.
You walked back to the register to talk to your Charlie. "Chloe was meant to be here at 2. What the fuck do we do? She isn't picking up my calls, she's not answering my messages and the boss just told us to threaten the clown with the police but fuck that I'm not comfortable with it I don't know him and he's scaring-"
"Calm down, you're gonna be okay. This isn't a big deal you'll be fine we can figure this out. I'll talk to him."
You glanced over your shoulder to look at the clown. He was sitting there, his chin resting on his hands, giving you a wink.
"God fucking damn it." Your muttered under your breath, he waved at you, then gesturing for him to come over again. "He wants me to go over again, what do I do? What the fuck do I do?"
Charlie bit their bottom lip, "I can go over if you like and try again, but I doubt he'll listen."
"Fuck, fine, I'll fucking doing it." You whisper-yelled, immediately going over towards the clown. You noticed most of the customers had left. How had no one called the police yet? Maybe they thought it was someone trying to be funny?
"Hello sir, is there anything I can help you with?"
The clown told you to stop, raising his pointer-finger. He then went through the garbage bag next to him. You heard the sounds of metal hitting metal, making you feeling almost as sick as before. He pulled out an envelope. You stared at it for a moment, noticing brown splotches over it. It looked like dried blood. You also noticed how there was a bump inside. You were about to place it down, but he gestured for you to open it.
You stared with widened eyes, really not wanting to. "I'm sorry sir... I-"
The clown gestured one more time, a deep frown on his face. You were afraid, so begrudgingly, you open it. And inside was a chunk of blonde hair, with a small amount of dyed-blue strands. You pulled it out and saw a piece of someone's scalp was attached. The blonde hair looked identical to Chloe's. You placed it back down onto the table, stepping back.
"Why.... what did she do to you?"
You knew what he did. It was obvious. But all you wanted to know is why. Yeah she could be bitchy at times, but she never had bad intentions. Not anything worthy of her fucking dying.
The Clown silently giggled, slapping his knee like it was the funniest joke in the world. He pointed at you, mimicking a horrified look and then continued laughing.
"Oh fuck this." You muttered, Charlie looked over and saw the terrified look on your face. "Charlie we need to get the fuck out now!" You yelled, grabbing their arm, dragging them into the kitchen. To get out through the front, you would've had to walk past him again, and that was not something that you wanted.
You shoved them inside and slammed the door shut, locking it. "Grab a knife Charlie." They didn't ask questions, just grabbing it off the bench. The clown was walking over towards the counter, where you'd pass food through to the person at the register. He stood there smiling.
"Nope, don't look just fucking get out." You urgently said to Charlie, grabbing their arm and leading them to the back door. You unlocked it ran out with them. You rummaged through your pockets and grabbed your keys, your hands shaking as you tried to open the car door.
"Y/n your tires have been fucking slashed!"
"Oh for fuck sake!" You yelled, this time they dragged you. You dropped your keys while they pulled you, "My keys!"
"It doesn't matter Y/n! There's a fucking psycho chasing us."
You followed them, running to the nearest store. You looked behind, noticing the clown was behind, with that fucking garbage bag thrown on it's shoulder.
As Charlie ran into the store, they yelled to call the police. They didn't care about scaring the workers, they just needed to make sure the both of you were safe. The woman at the register looked confused. They ran into the bathroom, locking the door behind the both of you. They fumbled with their phone, dialling the emergency number.
"What's your emergency?"
"There's a fucking psycho chasing after us! He's trying to fucking kill us!" They yelled, sounding hysterical.
"Okay, calm down. Are you safe right now?"
"I think so, we've locked ourselves in a random stores bathroom. We don't know where he is right now."
"Okay, what did he look like?"
"He-he was wearing a black and white clown outfit, like the one from the news!"
"Alright...." The operator said, sounding like they thought it was a prank call, but they still continued.
"What store are you in right now?"
Charlie turned to you, "Do you know where we ran to?"
You shook your head, "I-I wasn't paying attention, I'm sorry!"
"It's fine." Charlie murmured, "We don't know, but can you guys track the phone?"
The woman sighed, "Yes we can, but if this is a prank call you will be in serious trouble."
"We aren't fucking lying, my fucking car tires were slashed and this fucker gave me an envelope with co-workers scalp in it! Get the damn police here right now or we could get brutally murdered!" You screamed at the operator.
"Please calm down, the police are on their way." The operator said, "Please stay on the line, are you hearing anything outside of the bathroom?"
Charlie spoke up, "No, it's oddly quiet out there, I... I don't know where he is. I don't know if he followed us in or not. We didn't look around."
The only thing you could hear was cars driving by, it was otherwise painfully silent.
"Fuck what happened to Chloe, oh god I hope she's okay. Please Chloe be okay." You whimpered, dropping to the ground. "Fuck I'm sorry Chloe, I'm so sorry." Tears welled up in your eyes, then started streaming down your face.
Charlie knelt down, placing their phone on the tiled floor, "Hey, it's okay, Chloe might still be out there. Probably not in the best condition but still maybe out there." They gently hugged you.
You sniffled, "What if that psycho grabbed my keys, I'm not even going to be safe in my own fucking home." You sobbed, "I didn't even do anything to him!"
"I know, some people are just messed up, but you'll be okay, I'll make sure of it. No ones going to hurt you."
Eventually, you heard the police sirens and them shouting. After a few moments they knocked on the bathroom door. You immediately unlocked it, running out. "Did you find him?" You asked, your eyes showing the hope in this being simple, like maybe he was waiting outside or something stupid. But of course, reality didn't work that way.
"The only people we found were the workers here, I'm sorry." One of the officers said, "Do you have any injuries?"
You and Charlie shook your head.
"Alright, we're going to need to take you in for questioning."
Note
Just had a monsterfucking dream where me n 3 other people signed up to help a monster with their heat. It was a CNC scenario where we all had to hide from them (monster was genderless) and pretend to not want it because that was the only way their heat would subside, we had 4 frisbee-like disk things which we were supposed to throw to defend ourselves (as long as we didn't hit the monster in the head because that would hurt them) and when I threw my disk I "accidentally" caught their attention and they caught me easily.
I think I got pinned upside down to a tree 20ft in the air and I had to somehow hook a knee around a branch/ladder (because the whole area was set up for this, the trees had platforms, ropes, and ladders spanning them to make it easier for us humans) while I was getting bred so I wouldn't accidentally fall. The monster probably wouldn't have dropped me when they were finished but I wasn't going to take that chance. 10/10 I want to return to that dream, the monster was super nice about it when we were getting set up and super cute when they were pre-emtively apologizing for the way they would act but immediately switched into Predator mode once the game began (and they looked like The Hollow Knight from the game Hollow Knight which is another bonus)
little rabbit - e.g the droit seigneur fic
authors notes: first time I’ve written fanfic in an age and it’s 40k smut. Inspired by @moodymisty’s amazing continuations of that one unhinged ask I sent about the emperor cucking his sons (on anon because I was not expecting people to actually vibe with it)
Cw: dubcon, size kink like woah.
It has been a long, long time since he’s had a human woman -- oh, back in the halcyon days of his youth, back when Terra was the only planet he knew, he was a warlord with the tastes of a warlord, and left many a pretty young thing with trembling thighs and flushed cheeks (or with teary eyes and puffy lips, depending on his mood). But the mission, the hungry endless gaze of the monsters beyond the stars, the crushing weight of his responsibility -- it distracted him. There were far more important things that called his attention, and as hundreds of years became thousands his power grew, and his humanity atrophied. Sexual desire, he assumed, went the way of compassion and affection: sloughed aside, deemed unnecessary and detrimental to his greater purpose.
But even the greatest man to ever step foot on the red earth can be wrong sometimes, and for the first time in millenia he is glad of it. The girl in his lap was not even born --nor, for that matter, were her grandparents’ grandparents -- the last time he bedded anyone, and the thought stirs some deep, primal part of him, a sense of ownership.
“Easy,” he rumbles, as she whimpers and shivers, her tiny body barely able to take even the head of his cock. He strokes her sides, kisses her jawbone, then mouths along her jugular, relishing the rabbit thrum of her heart against his tongue. “We have all the time in the world. Take it slowly.”
He’s getting sentimental in his old age, he swears. Time was, he would have split her clean open in his desire to get inside -- though, of course, that was when he was a good deal smaller than he is now. He has no desire to rip her asunder on his prick.
She hiccups and whines, his hands moving to her hips, spanning not only her waist but the lean length of her thighs.
“Hurts,” she manages, and he chuckles.
“Yes. But you’re a good girl, aren’t you? You can do it.”
He knows she’s stronger than she looks. When he found her, she was in Roboute’s quarters, smelling of the Primach’s sweat. He didn’t think his son indulged in his serfs, but he cannot begrudge him the distraction -- after all, Gulliman is precisely the soldier the Emperor needs him to be. A little too uptight, perhaps, and altogether too fond of spreadsheets, but a useful strategist. And, apparently, someone who shares his father’s excellent taste in human women.
“I -- I don’t know --”
She wriggles herself over him, and he spares one hand to hold his cock still, making it easier for her. The mere fact that she is arguing back has him pulsing with desire; it has been so so long that a human has looked at his shining face without falling to their knees in supplication, let alone since one has argued back when he demands the impossible.
Well: seemingly impossible. He is larger than Roboute, but not insurmountably so, and he has unending faith in the indomitable human spirit. And in the accommodating stretch of the human insides.
There’s an almost audible pop as he finally pushes inside, and she cries out.
“Oh god --  I mean -- shit -- I don’t mean I believe in gods -- I don’t -- ”
Her eyes widen with fear, and he laughs -- a deep bass rumble that she probably feels in her marrow.
“Lord is an appropriate term of address,” he says, teasingly, nuzzling at the top of her head. It’s adorable just how nervy she is; like a small animal clasped in his hands. A rabbit cowering before a bear.
“Yes -- yes my lord --” she pants, and he allows her a moment to adjust, before starting to pull her down onto him. She’s warm and soft inside, overwhelmingly so, and the Emperor moans with appreciation, awkwardly hunching his shoulders so he can continue to lave his tongue and teeth over her neck -- before pulling back so he can admire the way her belly bulges around his girth, his cock pushing aside her insides to make room for him.
She’s whimpering, her fists clenched in his robes, salt tears starting to drip down her cheeks. He licks them away. It’s all so much for her -- too much. And yet the little warrior does not quibble or complain; she takes him, and takes him, and when he’s seated all the way to the hilt, her small body flush with his lap, he rewards her with a moment’s pause, and another deep kiss, exploring the inside of her mouth. She’s small enough that his tongue practically fills her up, sinking almost to her gullet, heedless of her blunt human teeth.
“There,” he says, and she coughs out a proper sob, so clearly stretched to the absolute limits. He rubs at the outline of his cock inside her, her skin stretched taut around him. “Now. Let’s begin.”
Guess who got 30/30 on her finals’ viva 😭💃
It was the biggest adventure of my goddamn life.
The viva was scheduled at 3 pm today so I was pretty chill. I was like okay I’ll do the hardest ones till late night, grab some good sleep and wake up a little early to revise the rest.
But my university sent a mail at 10:30 pm, saying ✨surprise motherfuckers, the time is changed to 9:30 am, all the best insufferable freshers✨
Post this mail, I had made peace in accepting that I aint gonna get any sleep tonight and I had to revise 4 subjects till 8 am (minus 30 minutes to get my boogie ass ready because I will never enter the uni looking like crap and 30 more minutes to reach the university)
I started studying around 12 am because all we did was cuss the fuck out of the university and exam managers for a bloody 1.5 hours.
Considering my attention span, my study session lasted for approximately 15 minutes before I opened Pinterest and keep scrolling mindlessly until it was suddenly 2 am 🤩. Then I went for a mindless walk around the hostel, disturbed my bf for a good 15 minutes, and realised he wasn’t giving me any attention because he actually studies and uski fati padi thi so I came back in my room and re-started studying. It continued till 5 am (paired with stress eating, gossiping, watching a documentary)
THEN, I ACCIDENTALLY FELL ASLEEP AT 5 AM AND WOKE UP AT 8 AM!?!? I had to leave at 9 am so there was no bloody chance of revising Histology and Radiology that I very confidently left for the morning 🤗 I left the house at 9 and kept a ppt of histological slides open on my phone so I could at least revise SOMETHING.
If this drama was not enough, here is more :
Me and my friend had decided to pair up for the viva but some dude mishandled the list and jumbled the numbers and I had to beg my classmate to go with a random dude so me and bestie could go tgt.
As I was about to enter the viva room, a physical fight broke pit between two students and my examiner walked out to stop the fight and never returned.
I confidently wrong answered a sub question and made the doctor believe that I was right cus I answered everything else too. 10 in Anatomy ✅
Manually picked the harder examiner for Histology because bestie shat in anatomy so I wanted her to score in Histology with the easier examiner. My reactions to the first two questions- ✨ma’am I don’t know✨ and she was glaring me so bad I cannot explain y’all but then by god’s grace, she asked me more questions (redemption arc) that I answered but she gave me 7.5 so I was like okay, I did shit in the beginning so-
Next was physiology and if y’all weren’t aware of my bad reputation with the professor (George), well now you are 🤗 But then I again had a choice to choose my examiner and I chose my favourite teacher from last semester and George was like ✨why are you not sitting with me huh✨ in the most sarcastic tone ever like i would ever voluntarily chose you , kind sir.
End result, I scored full in physiology too which just proves that my physiology wasn’t a problem, George was the problem!
Last was Radiology. I was scared for my life since I slept and didn’t revise radiology AT ALL. But the examiner was impressed by my marks and gave me 2.5 🙂‍↕️
Now if that still wasn’t enough adventure for you, let me introduce you to my bad math skills. 7.5 in Histology + 2.5 in radiology makes 10 which meant I had scored 30/30 but my dumbass forgot math and thought I scored only 27.5 and went out a little sad.
Then a senior dude asked me how was it and I was like ‘Accha tha bas muje ek baat bata histology ke liye maximum kitna hota hai?’ And he was 7.5 and then it hit me ‘Oh bhaiii fir toh muje full mile hai’ 😭😭😭
I’m never forgetting this day. I narrated this entire thing to my mom twice, once to bf, a 30 min voice note to @hum-suffer and now on tumblr.
Threads - Part 4
Explicit (slow burn, 18+ only) - Rings of Power - Gil-galad x OFC (Elf)
Includes S2E8 of Rings of Power - spoilers ahoy!
Gil-galad had only taken a handful of steps when his gaze passed over yet another collapsed building. From the looks of things, it had once been an open, airy shop that had faced directly into the plaza. The roof had caved in, creating dusty shadows, and even his keen eyes might have missed the slumped figure had he not heard the tiny whimper from the darkness.
Eregion has been destroyed; Sauron is gone. And yet, the sun still shines, as the ruined city holds the last thing that High King Gil-galad had ever expected to find.
Part 4
It was late afternoon before they reached Lindon, and the trees shone brightly enough with the setting sun to take Linnea’s breath away.
The city’s beauty was enough all on its own. The approach was over a bridge, spanning the waterfalls that fed into the gulf of Lhûn, and if she craned her neck, she could see the great golden Tree reaching out over the water. White towers rose over the leafy canopies of the forest; Lindon had been built around it, for no Elf would fell a tree for so pitiful a reason as wanting to put something else in its place. Instead, the city was woven through the glades and natural clearings.
She could see the palace, too. Or at least what she assumed was the palace: the tallest and largest of the buildings, rising high.
Her new home.
“Have you never seen it before, my lady?”
The soldier driving the wagon that day was named Landir, and he had been the friendliest of the group to her. She wondered if he might be angling for a place as her permanent guard; she would not object if that were the case, given his amicable disposition. It would certainly be more prestigious for him than being a common soldier, and probably easier too.
“No,” she replied, shaking her head. “My parents would come here to trade our weavings, sometimes. But I never joined them.”
They rolled through the main gate, Arondir in the lead on his horse, and then the other two mounted soldiers behind the wagon. As they passed, Linnea watched the guards on the ground carefully, wondering whether the news had spread - but there were no searching eyes, no one looking curiously for the lady that had captured their king’s heart. They might have been a small company of merchants, or something equally as anonymous.
Perhaps she would have a few days’ respite. Time to settle in. But they would all know soon enough, and part of her wanted to hasten that along; she wanted to stand on the cart and shout it out across the entire city.
I love him. I am his, and he is mine.
But she stayed seated, and settled for smiling to herself. Her attention was caught, however, as the hoofbeats behind them suddenly increased, and a moment later, one of the soldiers from the rear guard passed them at a gallop.
Linnea looked over at Landir, raising a brow, and he offered her a smile. “We have instructions to take you directly to the palace, my lady. Hellathas rides ahead to inform them that we have arrived.”
Of course they did. She had assumed so, more or less, but had not put exact thoughts to the vague notions. And she certainly didn’t know her own way around, at least not yet.
And Gil-galad would want to know that they had made it to Lindon safely.
Her hands trembled, and she clasped them together in her lap to hide it.
The ride to the palace was pleasant and easy - and what was more, it gave Linnea a chance to observe the citizens of Lindon going about their daily business. It was very clear that she'd need to do something about her clothes, sooner rather than later; she had found a few of her dresses, undamaged and still serviceable, but they were good sturdy wool and linen. Artisan’s clothes, in muted and simple colors, like those that most of the inhabitants of Eregion wore. The fabrics had been woven by her own hands; fine enough, certainly, but not the silks and satins and velvets that surrounded her now. And jewels everywhere.
Yes, she would need to do something. Thankfully, one of the chests in the wagon contained almost all of the weavings from the shop that had been finished; the heavy, strong ironwood had protected the stored fabrics, and they had all survived intact. She would have plenty to trade for a new wardrobe, or at least the start of one.
While she had been musing, the road they traveled had begun to ascend, gradually climbing as it wound its way through the forests. It was surprisingly narrow for a route to the palace, and she wondered if Arondir was taking them some sort of back way. If so, she was grateful; buying some more time to settle in before she had to face the entire court didn’t sound like a bad thing at all. She made a mental note to thank him if that had been his intent.
And then it became very, very difficult to think anything at all.
The path had taken them up a gently sloping hill, and as they reached the top, she found herself in a charming courtyard. It looked private, and as she’d wondered, it seemed to be somewhere in the back of the palace - she could see the bulk of the building off to the west and the north, as well as the high towers reaching above the trees. The section in front of her was comprised of several arched windows with small open balconies, and there was a set of stone stairs leading up to a pair of double doors with their own wide terrace.
Which was occupied by Gil-galad.
It felt, simultaneously, like her heart had stopped and like it was about to beat its way free of her chest, as Landir drew the wagon to a halt. The last time she’d seen him, he had been in armor, the warrior King, still beautiful but grim with purpose. But now he was dressed in all his finery: a wide-sleeved gold robe that fell to the ground and then some, a lapped gold girdle around his waist that was accented with jeweled stars, and a gold shirt beneath the robe, the fabric traced with a delicate pattern of leaves. And of course, his crown, shining atop his dark hair.
She really needed to do something about her clothes.
But the moment that his eyes found hers, and he smiled, none of that mattered in the slightest.
He didn’t run. He walked at a slow, measured pace, descending the stairs with every ounce of the dignity of the High King of the Noldor. His robe trailed down the steps behind him, and his two guards followed him only a few feet back. She felt frozen on the wagon seat, her eyes fixed on him, watching as he crossed the courtyard. By some unspoken signal, the guards halted well before he did, allowing him to take the last steps alone.
Gil-galad stopped by the wagon, raising his eyes to her. Dark brown, liquid pools, and in them, she saw every word he had put to paper, and several more. Words that she’d never thought to hear from anyone, much less someone like him. But there they were, writ plain as day.
He lifted a hand, palm up, offering it to her.
In a daze, she stood and took it, gathering her skirts and letting him support her as she stepped down. And once she was on the ground, he did not let go, but reached for her other hand as well, bringing them to his lips and kissing first one and then the other.
“Maedol ni mâr dhín, melethel.”
Welcome home, beloved.
Tumblr media
She couldn’t stop staring at him.
The sight of him was as intoxicating as the finest wines, and she doubted her eyes would ever drink their fill. They certainly hadn’t yet, as he led her into the palace with her hand tucked gently in the crook of his elbow - all she could do was stare at him, barely aware of the bridgeways and corridors that they walked through.
He noticed, and a corner of his mouth quirked up as he leaned in to whisper to her. “What draws your eye, my lady?”
Linnea laughed softly, caught out. Part of her felt too shy to speak, but the rest - if his thoughts had been even half as unsettled as her own, confronted with so much change, he deserved to hear any reassurance she could give.
“You,” she whispered back. “Just you.”
His smile widened, and his arm flexed, tightening around her hand.
She hadn’t wanted to ask where they were going; Gil-galad obviously had a destination in mind, and she would deprive him of no joy in beginning to show her around. But it seemed that the walk was ending; they had reached a tower and had climbed many stairs, and at last had stopped at a door - and a nod from Gil-galad had the guards taking up positions along the landing outside.
And so, when he pushed open the door, they stepped in alone. Entirely, gloriously, alone.
The rooms they entered were lovely and open. Even in the faint light of dusk, it was easy to see that they would be wonderfully bright when the sun came up. As high as they were, the trees were higher; Linnea could see branches right outside the arched windows, glowing golden in the setting sun. The space was circular, and at a guess, it took up at least half of the level of the tower, with windows around the entire edge.
It was divided into several different areas. The door had opened into a sitting room, and beyond, she could see a sleeping alcove. Everything was beautiful; the rooms were furnished elegantly, the pieces few but exquisite.
At some point, she had released Gil-galad’s arm, and her steps had carried her several feet into the room almost without her knowing. She stopped at the fireplace, turning back to Gil-galad where he had remained next to the door, feeling her lips parted in an expression of surprise and wonder.
He smiled, guessing her question.
“There were no queen’s chambers,” he murmurs. “But these rooms are directly beneath my own. I had them prepared for you.”
She noticed then, as she faced him, the discreet staircase tucked into a corner of the sitting room. A staircase that, from what he had just said, would take her up to his rooms without the need to exit her own. She could go to him - or he could come to her - as they pleased, without the need for guards to move and all of the production that went along with it. A precious sliver of privacy, in what was about to become a very public existence.
“If anything is not to your liking,” he added, “you have only to say the word.”
Her throat felt tight and hot. Her eyes, too. She felt too full, like her skin might split open in a failure to contain everything it was struggling to hold in.
Linnea swallowed hard.
She retraced her steps, walking slowly back toward him. His eyes locked on her face, searching for a sign of approval, but she didn’t say a word until she was standing right in front of him.
“You think far too highly of me,” she choked out, “if you think I can speak now.”
He let out a breath, and she could hear the relief in it. She could only imagine how it had been for him over the last days, making sure she would have a home here, ensuring her comfort, all the while trying to wrap his head around the fact that she existed. That he had found her every bit as much as she had found him.
More words were not possible. But she could offer something else, something that she’d been longing for ever since they’d parted.
She reached up, taking his face in her hands, and pulled his head down to hers.
When they finally climbed the staircase, Linnea discovered that Gil-galad’s rooms were shaped much like hers. He too had a sitting room, although much larger, and also a small private dining room. There was a study, with an angled writing desk and shelves full of scrolls and books, and his sleeping alcove held a large, wide bed.
Big enough for two.
Her cheeks tingled, imagining that part of marriage. Not just being intimate, but the simple act of sharing a bed - Ereinion’s tall body next to hers, warm and strong. Would she fall asleep in his arms; would he hold her through the hours of the night?
There was so much to discover.
But in the meantime, a delicious aroma was tickling her nose, and it was coming from that cozy dining room.
Gil-galad had moved over to the fireplace, standing out of the way and watching her take all of it in. He looked apprehensive again, and she wondered how many others had ever seen his private rooms. True, the sitting area and the dining room were fitted out so that he could entertain if he wished, but perhaps he deliberately avoided doing so. Perhaps this was his sanctuary, and he only allowed a chosen few through its doors.
Now it would be theirs.
Linnea turned to him, offering him a gentle smile. “Something smells wonderful.”
“I thought you might be hungry,” he murmured. “And the idea of sharing a quiet meal and hearing about your travels was…very pleasing.”
Indeed it was.
She moved into the dining room then, seeing a sideboard laid with covered platters, and the table set for two. All without her having to lift a finger. And the food was just as beautiful as everything else; she filled her plate with delicate white fish that swam in a silky, buttery sauce, along with sliced vegetables and a heap of fresh salad. There was wine, too - a red that burst forth with fruit the moment she filled her glass.
This, perhaps more than anything, felt like coming home.
The way that Gil-galad settled down next to her with his own food felt like the most natural thing in the world. As if they’d done the same many times before, and this was just one more dinner in a string of them. No different than the night before, or the night that would come, or the next hundred years.
Before she took her first bite, she reached over, taking his hand and squeezing it. The touch made him smile, and he brought the hand to his lips, brushing a kiss across the back.
“Tell me of the journey,” he said softly, as he released her hand. “How did you find the roads?”
Linnea raised a brow at him as she picked up her fork. “Commander Arondir did not keep you informed?”
“He did indeed,” Gil-galad allowed. “But I thought to hear my lady’s opinions as well.”
Her cheeks heated, and she couldn’t keep a smile from curling her lips. “Then far be it from me to deny you,” she murmured. “The roads were in good order, and we were untroubled by orcs, for the most part. There was an encounter on the fifth day, but as they were only two, they were dispatched easily.”
He nodded; she wasn’t telling him anything he hadn’t learned from Arondir’s reports, that much was clear. “Now that Eregion is destroyed, we must consider how to maintain a watch over the eastern reaches,” he said, taking a bite from his plate. “Once Imladris is built, it will serve, but it may be wise to re-garrison the watchtowers at the Mitheithel Fords and the Baranduin in the meantime. Were the enemy to approach Lindon, that is the likeliest route. Unless you would suggest another, my lady.”
She stared at him for a moment, fork loose in her hand. “I - my lord, I am a weaver. I am no soldier, no commander.”
“Yet the eastern lands were your home,” he said gently. “You know them well. I welcome your input - in all things, lady. You have a seat on the council, if that is your wish.”
Linnea took a deep breath, reaching for her wine glass to buy herself a moment. She understood the honor he was giving her, but it was one more thing that was so different than the life she had known. Sitting on the council, her voice could determine great matters, could cost - or save - lives.
It was a far cry from waking in the morning and deciding which loom she would sit at that day, which fabric she would make progress on.
But she was going to be queen. And the council would be a good place to begin to learn about those great matters. She had a responsibility to their subjects; they deserved a queen that was wise and well-informed.
“I - I think I would like that,” she murmured. “If it would not offend the other Elf lords.”
“If they are offended by the presence of their queen, they may choose to be elsewhere,” he said dryly.
She chuckled softly, raising a brow at him again. “My lord, that title is not mine to claim yet,” she reminded him.
He quirked an eyebrow at her, in seeming recognition of her point. And his hand briefly brushed his chest, just at the place where his robe overlapped - as if touching something beneath it.
“But it is mine to bestow,” he murmured. “If you are finished, there is something I would like to show you, melethel.”
Linnea looked down, and was surprised to find her plate empty. She looked back up, and nodded, and Gil-galad rose, extending a hand.
“Come.”
Tumblr media
Not even her ears could hear what he said to the guards. But as they reached their destination, the soldiers stayed at the top of the path, remaining well distant from the great Tree.
She had never seen it before - only that one glimpse at a distance, as they had arrived. Up close it was infinitely more beautiful, the moon shining through the golden leaves and glimmering off Gil-galad’s golden robes.
He took her up onto the dais, right next to the Tree. The waterfall thundered next to them, making its way down to the gulf of Lhûn, and she was wide-eyed like a child at the sight. The symbol for Elvendom on earth - the very picture of their strength, their vitality.
“It's beautiful,” she murmured. “May I - ?”
He nodded, and she laid her palm against the thick trunk. Whispers, faint and distant, but nothing she could make out. But there was definitely a presence to the tree, unlike anything she’d ever felt.
She dropped her hand, turning back to face Gil-galad, and smiled. “Thank you for bringing me here,” she said softly. “I had always hoped to see the Tree - but whenever my parents came to Lindon, there were always things to occupy me in Eregion. It seemed so easy to think each time that next time I would come.”
“I often thought the same of Eregion,” he answered, equally softly. He had taken his crown off before they had left his rooms, and his dark hair shone with the moonlight and the starlight. “Lord Celebrimbor encouraged me to visit. Yet he seemed to always have matters in hand.”  He sighed. “Would that I had heeded his words. For many reasons. Not the least of which, that I might have met you sooner.”
Linnea reached down, gently taking his hands. “You visited once,” she murmured. “I saw you across the plaza. It was many years ago, and you were surrounded by your lords and soldiers. But I did see you, just a glimpse.”
Gil-galad nodded, giving her a small smile. “I recall it. I was occupied with matters of trade. Had I been paying more attention to my surroundings, perhaps I might have seen your shop.” His smile turned slightly teasing. “Perhaps I might have stopped to admire your work, and lost my heart in the process.”
“I would have made you a gift in its place,” she teased back. “A blanket for your bed, or a new cloak.”
There were more words, hanging heavy on her tongue - but there was no reason to be shy, not at this stage. Not with all that had already been spoken between them; not when intents and futures had already been made clear.
“Along with my own heart,” she said softly. “A gift in kind. Which you have, meleth nín.”
He breathed out, tugging on her hands to pull her closer. She went gladly, feeling him let go of her hands and slide his arms around her waist, and then his forehead came down to press against hers - much the same way as he had held her the first time in the survivors’ camp, standing next to her little fire. A moment so pure and perfect, so fated, that it still brought tears to her eyes to think about it.
“I will do my utmost to be worthy of it,” he whispered. “And so let me make a gift to you now.”
He stepped back from her, and his hand went back to that same place on his robes, but this time it slipped underneath the edge. And when he brought it back out, he was holding a small, pure white velvet pouch. It seemed to glow with a light of its own, shining beneath the stars, nearly sparkling as he opened it and tipped the contents into his palm.
A ring. A silver ring.
Wordlessly, he extended it to her for her to see.
Hands shaking, she took it. The center stone was a pearl, with strands of silver wrapping around it almost like a wave, cradling the pearl in their grasp. But there were also tiny diamonds, what had to be dozens of them - and the fashion of their setting changed the pearl, transformed it into the heart of a star, with the diamonds forming rays of starlight.
It was one of the most beautiful things she had ever seen.
Ereinion’s hands closed gently over hers where they held the ring.
“I did not ask you properly before,” he murmured. “So allow me to ask now. Will you wed me, Linnea, daughter of Taucion and Lhénes? Will you have me as your husband, will you be my wife and my queen until Arda itself is remade?”
Out of everything he had just said, the thing that stunned her most was that he knew the names of her parents. She had no idea how - perhaps he had had the rest of the survivors questioned until he found someone who had known them - but he did, and it made the tears finally spill over and drip down her cheeks.
She knew that he knew her answer. But the fact that he would still ask, had taken the trouble to choose a ring for her - he deserved no less than to hear it.
“Yes,” she whispered. “Yes. I will.”
Now his hands were trembling, as he took the ring with one and clasped hers with the other. She opened her hand to help, and he slid the shining star onto her finger.
It fit perfectly, snugging down at the base of her hand, fashioned for just that spot and no other.
She didn’t have anything for him - and although she knew he would never expect it, she was not about to deny him any of the traditions. Not when he’d been waiting so much longer, when he must have thought it would never happen for him. It was uncommon at best for someone of her age to wed, much less him. No, he would have a ring; she would see to that as soon as possible.
But he did not seem to be thinking about anything of the sort at that moment; he brought her newly-adorned hand to his lips and kissed it, his mouth lingering in a way that made her toes curl.
It struck her then, as he lifted his head, why he’d taken the crown off. With the crown, he was the High King - and he still was without it, of course, but it wasn’t quite so there. It was easier to think of him as just Ereinion without it, and that was who he’d wanted to be as he asked.
He drew the hand he’d just kissed to his chest, holding it close against his heart. “I am yours to command in this, my lady,” he murmured. “And you need not answer now, but give thought as to your will. We need not wait a year if you do not desire it.”
Her eyes were still brimming, but she had to laugh at his easy discarding of the customary period between betrothal and wedding, even through the tears. “My lord is an eager bridegroom, I see.”
“Were you to ask, I would speak the blessings here upon this very spot, and you would be my wife by tomorrow’s sunrise,” he said softly - and yet, his voice was iron, leaving her no doubt as to his sincerity. “But we need not rush, melethel. We have time to become better acquainted, you and I.”
Part of her - that part that had felt her toes curling at the light brush of his mouth on her hand, that had eagerly returned each of his kisses - was sorely tempted. She could be in his bed, in his arms, in a matter of minutes. They could feed that fire together with the intimacy of marriage; she could know his touch on her, she could touch him.
But the last two weeks had been a great change. As he said, they did not need to rush. And perhaps it was good to remember that they barely knew one another yet. The cup of love was there and brimming full already, but all the rest - all that they had yet to discover about one another, their pasts and their likes and dislikes and routines -  would take time.
“It is true,” she answered. “But…I do not think it a task that will last a year. Especially not when we have the rest of our days to do so.”
That pleased him; he smiled. “I am sure you wish to settle in to Lindon first. If there is anything you need, you have only to ask.”
“Tomorrow I must seek out a clothier,” she said. “I was able to save a few of my own clothes, but it is clear that Lindon is very different than Eregion. But I was also able to save many of our finished works; they should be enough for trade. Is there someone that the ladies of the court often use, that I should visit? Or someone I might ask about it?”
He was looking at her with a strange expression, and it took her a moment to identify it - he was confused. He took her hands in his again, gently, making sure he met her eyes.
“Linnea, you need not concern yourself with such things,” he said slowly. “Whatever you may require, all you need do is summon the artisans of your choice. They will come to you - you are their future queen.”
Oh.
That did make sense as to why he was confused. It had probably been an age since he had gone browsing about a marketplace - her ring had likely been obtained just as he had said, a smith summoned to court and commissioned to the task.
But that felt too different from her old life for it to feel like her. And it gave her the first hint of how she might blend old and new - neither one nor the other, but both, like an alloy of precious metals that was more than its individual parts.
“Meleth nín,” she said softly, “I do not think that is the queen I wish to be. I - I know I have barely begun to consider it, but I would like the city to know me. I wish to be a part of the life here, not to sit above it. At least, when that is possible. And so I must go out and be seen.”
He had listened, and the confusion had gradually faded from his face - and, she was relieved to see, it had been replaced with faint pride. Nothing could break their bond, she knew that, but that bond did not mean they would always be in accord. Marriage would mean compromises across the centuries; there would be things where they would not see eye-to-eye.
But thankfully, this did not appear to be one of them.
“Then you shall,” he said. “Tomorrow at first light, we shall arrange your household and your guards. And then you may explore the city as you wish. But - “ and here his voice grew stern - “you need not trade for what you require. Lindon will provide for its queen. I will provide for my betrothed. I will not have you surrendering the work of your hands for a mere gown.”
Linnea smiled.
A gown, no. She would concede that point; and, if she was honest, the thought of having to trade away the last fabrics that she and her parents had made had hurt. It was hard to object to any sort of plan that would allow her to avoid that pain.
But a ring?
That was worth a few fabrics. Especially if it allowed her to keep it secret, until the perfect moment.
“So be it, my lord,” she agreed. “So be it.”
EPISODE 13 ✿ LITTLE BY LITTLE
YOU + ME = LOVE — A DILUC SMAU
masterlist / prev ep / next ep / wc: 732.
Tumblr media
with the past issue slowly dying down, you and diluc decided to lay low for each other’s sake so that you two could avoid such an issue appearing again.
“wait, so i just do that? how come it looked so difficult when professor maxwell explained it?" you exclaimed, shocked at how you didn’t get the process earlier.
he won’t even deny it. he has been warming up to you ever since that talk you guys had back then. ever since he was in junior high school, all he had were the other three. so for him, it felt quite refreshing that he managed to get along with someone new on a close level.
“maybe it’s because you were feeling sleepy again during his lecture.” diluc chuckles at you.
“hey, i wasn’t! though his voice really does have this sleepy effect whenever he’s giving a lecture... he’s so soft spoken for what?” you groaned, slumping yourself over on the table.
-
if someone were to see you and diluc, one would most likely assume you're together as a couple, having a little study date in the library.
“you mixed these two up. first, you do this, then you do that," diluc explains, using his pencil to point out your mistakes.
“actually, do you prefer a simpler way to solve this?”
“diluc, this is fucking calculus. of course i’d prefer an easier way," you deadpanned at him.
“alright, well, you can actually just use this formula instead," he says, writing it down for you.
you looked confused as you stared at the formula presented before you. “eh? but professor maxwell didn't teach us that.”
“that's because i derived it. look, if i use this formula,” writing down the proper solution using the derived formula that he's teaching you (however, you couldn't help but stare at his side profile instead of the one he was writing). “and there you have it. see? it's still the same result," he finishes.
“huh? wait, yeah! i think my life just became easier. what the hell?"
“you're welcome.” he chuckles.
but who cares if they assume that you're romantically involved with each other? they can think all they want. what matters is that your only focus is the derived formula that just made your life easier.
oh! and the one who taught you that as well.
-
it wasn’t supposed to be like this.
but why—just why did diluc feel so... electric when your hands brush against each other? why did it actually feel nice when he felt your touch, even if it was just for a quick moment? this is stupid, diluc thinks; he just helped you pick up your pen, after all.
why did it make him happy to hear his name roll off your tongue so smoothly? it’s not like you say it in a different way than his friends. so what makes you say it so differently? what makes it special for diluc whenever he hears you say his name?
with a bit of remaining time left, you both decided to take care of some other schoolwork. but diluc couldn’t focus. no matter how hard he tries, his attention span for his own workload just ends up shifting to the girl working peacefully beside him—you.
he takes in your side profile. your index and middle fingers were pressed onto your temple, gently massaging it, a sign that diluc noted that you’re stressed about whatever you’re working on right now. your other hand lets go of the pen it was holding as you start to tap your fingers against the table—a habit you have whenever you try to brainstorm or think of something—and a trait that diluc noted down in his head (as for why he noted such a thing down, he’ll refuse to answer that).
you two are supposed to be only a tutee and a tutor to each other. neither of you should cross that line; diluc should know this by heart—after all, he’s the one who refuses to show any romantic interest towards anyone because he’s solely focused on his career. he couldn't—actually, no, he wouldn’t even dare take a tiny step into the gates that lead to your heart.
nonetheless, diluc accepts it. he accepts that maybe, just maybe, he’s crossing the line right now (or maybe he has already crossed without even realizing it).
it wasn’t supposed to be like this at all.
The aftermath of being attacked, and some familiar faces from a previous assignment.
AKA I couldn’t resist sneaking a couple more people into this fic. :D
Warnings: Swearing, mild possessive behavior, mention of bruises and head injury, more world building.
By the time Gaz knocked on your door, you were ready. Still sore as hell, but ready.
“Morning,” you murmured, picking up both bags.
“You alright?” Gaz looked you over quickly. “Didn’t see you at dinner.”
“I was nauseous,” you told him truthfully. “Didn’t want to risk it. I’m fine, sleep helped.” Sleep had also helped the bruises form, but. You weren’t going to tell him that.
“Still.” His jaw clenched for a moment. “You’re a guest and you were injured.”
“Already told off your Alpha for this,” you huffed. “You are not to blame for this. I didn’t expect any violence, and things escalated quickly. It happens. Definitely not the worst I’ve been hurt on the job.”
The look Gaz shot you very clearly said that was not as reassuring as you hoped. But he nodded once, either accepting that or at least not fighting you on it, and walked you out to the air strip. There was a small military plane there waiting for the pack, and you stifled a sigh. Lovely.
“Here, I’ll load these for you.” Gaz took your bags and whisked them away before you had a chance to protest.
Leaving you standing off to the side watching the bustle, unsure what to do with yourself.
This time, Price approached you from the front, rather than sneaking up on you. You were grateful for that - you didn’t think your head would thank you for any jump-scares today.
“Feelin’ alright?” he asked, doing the same visual sweep Gaz had.
“Better,” you agreed with an easy smile. “I have to admit I’m not used to protocol with military transport, so you’ll have to tell me if there’s anywhere I shouldn’t sit.”
“Doesn’t matter,” Price said with a low, amused rumble. “Sit anywhere.”
You nodded and hid a wince at the throb of pain that inspired. Right. No more moving your head today. The flight was definitely going to be super good for your head.
Not.
Somehow, it took no time to get everyone on board, and you picked a spot where you hoped you’d be out of the way.
So of course Soap dropped down next to you with an easy grin, soothingly warm in the chilly interior of the plane.
“Didja bring a book?” he asked, pulling his phone out.
“Yup.” But you had no idea if you’d be able to focus on it, not with the way your head felt.
“Good. Won’t be too long in the air, but long enough to get bored.”
“Not everyone has the attention span of a pup,” Gaz called, teasing.
“Oi! Rich comin’ from you.”
Price sighed and looked up as if asking for patience, and you stifled laughter under your hand. “Soap, make sure she’s in tight.”
“Rog.” Soap paused before he touched you though.
“You’re good,” you murmured, granting him a pleased smile.
He returned the smile easily before he checked that you were securely in your seat and gave his Alpha a thumbs up.
After that, it wasn’t long until the plane was in the air, and you leaned back, closing your eyes. Your head ached and you were still tired.
“Alright there?” Soap leaned in close to ask you, his hand touching yours briefly.
“Head hurts,” you admitted, though you hated to do it.
He hummed, and one gentle hand tipped your head forward carefully. “Got a bit of a goose egg there.”
“From yesterday,” you agreed, keeping your eyes closed. “I’m fine, it just hurts.”
“Be better to rest your head on me than on the plane,” he offered easily, already gently guiding your head down to his shoulder.
“You don’t mind?” you checked, not fighting him. You did shift in your seat to make it easier to lean on him, his warmth comforting.
“Not a bit.” His hand left your skin slowly, as if making sure you weren’t going to move. You weren’t even tempted - his shoulder was definitely more comfortable than the plane, and you sighed slowly before relaxing fully.
Gentle nudging was pulling you from the warm comfortable space you’d made for yourself, and you groaned your protest. “Few more minutes,” you mumbled, barely lucid.
“We’re landing,” Soap said, humor clear in his voice. “Gotta get up now.”
You cracked open one eye and huffed, displeased. But you sat up carefully. Your head definitely hurt less now, which was good, and you felt less tired. You blinked a few times, carefully not looking at his packmates. “Sorry. Didn’t mean to fall asleep on you.”
“You needed it.” His smile was easy and he patted your knee. “‘Sides, can’t get bored while you’re asleep. Figure you had the right idea there.”
You laughed quietly and stretched your shoulders. “You make a good pillow.”
Interestingly, that caused him to blush a little, cheeks going pink. Aw. That was adorable.
You did wince when the plane set down, but quickly smoothed out your expression again. Soap hopped up and offered you a hand up, which you took. Gaz had already stolen one of your bags and you grabbed the other, which ended up being the blanket. Aka the lighter bag.
You stepped out of the plane into sunshine and moved out of the way, looking around. This… looked familiar. Very familiar, actually.
“Oh.” You blinked as you turned towards the barracks, shading your eyes. If you were right… Yes, that window was the pack room, and the curtains twitched. You couldn’t hide your grin.
“Oh what?” Price asked, coming to a halt next to you.
“I’ve been here before,” you said. “For this pack.”
The door to the barracks burst open and a giant stepped out. Easily inches taller even than Ghost, König was quite distinctive.
And then he was barreling towards you.
Seeing the potential disaster before it happened, you jogged a half dozen steps forward so you wouldn’t be right next to the Alpha when König got to you.
And then you were swept up into a tight hug, literally lifted off your feet as König rumbled at you.
“Hi, big guy,” you said, laughing a little, patting the top of his head over his hood. “Where’s your Alpha?”
“Waiting.” He squeezed you so carefully, always aware of his strength. “I could not wait.”
“It’s good to see you too.” You stiffened at the low growl behind you. Oh shit. Right. The other pack. “Put me down, please.”
König frowned at you, you could tell, but he set you down. You patted his arm and then took a step back, holding up one hand to ask him to wait.
“Alpha Price,” you said, turning to find the other three clustered behind their Alpha. Closing ranks. Well, this was off to a great start. “This is König, of the local pack. I worked here before, thus the enthusiastic greeting.”
König grumbled behind you, a distinct noise demanding your attention. You flapped your hand at him.
“Alpha Horangi will undoubtedly be here momentarily.” You finally spared a glance back at König, one eyebrow raised.
König very innocently pointed off to the side, and you sighed.
“Horangi, please, for the love of me, don’t do this to me today.”
“You are no fun.” Horangi slunk out of nowhere, mask and sunglasses in place.
You sighed and looked up at the sky. You couldn’t murder Horangi, he’d murder you first.
Horangi stopped a couple feet away from you, head tipped as he surveyed the other pack. For a long moment there was tense silence.
Then Horangi stuck out one hand. “Be welcome on my territory,” he rumbled, the greeting traditional.
Price took his hand, shaking firmly. “We appreciate the welcome.”
“This way.” Horangi led the way to the barracks. König grumbled again and reached for you, and you swatted his hands.
“No,” you said sternly. “My head hurts.”
“You are injured?” Instantly you had a very concerned shifter leaning down over you, protective and worried.
“I’m fine,” you insisted, shooing him ahead of you. “I swear to you we will catch up later, but I have to help them first.”
König narrowed his eyes a little, displeased, but nodded once. He looked behind you to the current pack with a soft rumble before he turned, jogging after Horangi to catch up with his Alpha.
“There are days,” you said to no one in particular, “that I wonder about my sanity.”
“Aye, me too,” Soap agreed, fingers light on your elbow. “Head still bothering you?”
“Some.” You grimaced.
“I’ll check once we’re inside.” Price’s voice left no room for argument, and you were too tired anyway.
“Sorry,” you murmured carefully. “I honestly did not expect König to react like that.”
Price shook his head. “Not your fault,” he murmured back. He glanced back at you over his shoulder, a quick flash of teeth betraying his amusement. “Didn’t you just berate me about this?”
You laughed, leaning a little into Soap. “More or less,” you agreed. The sunlight was quickly becoming too much, making you grateful when you stepped into the barracks. König had vanished, but Horangi had waited.
He didn’t say a word, just silently turned down a corridor, going to the very end and pushing open a door.
“This should be sufficient for your pack,” Horangi offered, stepping out of the way. But his gaze snagged on you, which you only knew because of the smirk you could hear in his voice. “Your room is still open from last time.”
“Ah.” Well. That was… somewhat problematic. “I’ll–”
“She’ll stay with us.” Price stopped behind you - you could feel the warmth of him bleeding through your clothes, sending a shiver up your spine.
Horangi tensed, just a little, hands twitching at his sides. But he nodded, curt and silent, and strode away again.
“I can handle him,” you said on a sigh, looking back at Price.
Price just grunted, his hand gentle but firm around your elbow as he led you into the room.
Well. Suite of rooms, really. Clearly this was meant for either visitors or someone higher up, because the sitting room area was decent, with a kitchenette. Through an open doorway you could see a bathroom, and you guessed the other two were bedrooms.
Price deposited you in a chair, and you eased back carefully. Your bruises were reasserting themselves now - just what you needed on top of your head aching. Big fingers tipped your head down, just a little too close to the bump, and you hissed. Price froze for a heartbeat before he continued, much more carefully.
“Might have a concussion,” he murmured, hand sliding down to cup the nape of your neck, soothing you.
“Only a mild one.” You closed your eyes with a little sigh.
Price rumbled a displeased noise, but his hand didn’t move. “You didn’t mention the concussion yesterday.”
“I was keeping an eye on it,” you grumbled back. “I know what a bad concussion feels like.”
He huffed, and a moment later his free hand was tugging up your sleeve to check your arm where Keyes had grabbed you. That had bruised, and you didn't need to see it again, so you just stayed put.
"It's not bad," Gaz murmured, though he sounded upset. Probably still unhappy that you'd been hurt in the first place.
"It's fine," you assured him with a sigh. "Just bruising, it'll heal."
Price let your sleeve fall back into place, though he kept his other hand on the back of your neck. "You'll be able to rest while we're gone."
"When do you have to go?" You leaned back a little into his hand. It was soothing, that was all.
"Briefing in an hour, not sure when wheels up is." Price leaned closer to you, not quite looming or hovering but some other third thing.
"Got it." You snorted softly. "Turns out you don't need me here anyway, this base is well trained."
Price merely hummed. "You'll stay here while we're briefing, so I don't have to find you."
"You could ask a question, you know," you grumbled, finally tipping your head back to glower at him. "I might even say yes."
Price huffed while Soap and Gaz snickered quietly. "Please." It was flat, absolutely no question to it.
"I'll think about it." You smirked.
Price shook his head, though he couldn't entirely hide his amusement. He released you, and you blinked at the flash of disappointment before forcing your gaze away.
You stayed quiet while they did whatever they did to get ready, mostly quiet.
But you were surprised when Soap and then Gaz grabbed you in one-armed hugs before they left.
You weren't sure if those were meant as comfort, claiming, or both. Whatever the intention, they left you warm and skittish and a little anxious.
It was your job to get personal. To understand their needs and anticipate them. With some packs it was simpler than others.
And, sure, there had been some packs before where you maybe could have stayed, could have deepened the bonds and made it work…
But that niggling anxiety wouldn't let you. Because they'd get tired of you eventually.
People always did.
Breathing a little unsteady, you shook yourself out. Clearly this mild concussion was just messing with you, and you just needed to walk it off.
But you did leave a note for the pack telling them you'd gone on a walk, at least.
The base was the same as the last time you'd seen it, still bustling with activity. But this time most of the soldiers already knew you, nodded to you in recognition.
You weren’t entirely sure how long you'd been wandering when Horangi fell into step next to you, easy as anything.
"So that's your new pack."
"You say that like any of the packs I work with are mine and not just work."
Horangi hummed quietly, keeping pace with you. "Not a great showing for them, bringing you here injured."
"It's sometimes part of the job," you reminded him. "Not like I left here completely unscathed, either."
Horangi shrugged. "König is happy to see you."
You slanted a look at him, amused. "I'm happy to see him, too." That went for both of them, but you were used to Horangi hiding his own emotions behind the bigger man.
"Should be three days or so," Horangi told you, and you blinked, caught off guard. "If all goes well."
"When do things ever go well?" You asked, mostly habitually.
His chuckle was low and rough, not unlike the chuffing of his other form. "Good question."
You laughed quietly, shaking your head, but you did finally start to head back toward the barracks. "Leaving tonight or tomorrow?"
"Tonight. Timeline got pushed." Horangi shrugged. "You'll be on your own after dinner."
Something, some soft part of you, ached at being left alone again. You hid it well - that little part of you had refused to die, but you refused to acknowledge it. "Got it."
Horangi nudged you ahead, and when you blinked back at him, he merely motioned for you to keep going. You shrugged but kept walking, figuring he wanted some alone time or something.
Then you spotted Price standing outside the barracks, arms crossed.
“I didn’t mean to be out for that long,” you said as you approached, eyeing him carefully.
Price shrugged once. “Wheels up after dinner,” he said, pulling open the door and waiting for you to enter. “You’ll sit and eat with us?”
At least he managed to make it a question this time. “Sure,” you agreed after a moment of thought. Actually, food sounded good.
Price nodded and opened the door to the suite again, ushering you in first. You side-eyed him, unsure where this was coming from, but you didn’t object.
The rest of the pack was working quietly to get packed up, moving around each other easily. You stayed out of the way, jotting down things you could do over the next few days to keep yourself busy.
Gaz nudged you when the others were done. “Ready to go eat?”
“Sure.” You tucked your phone away again, surprised when Gaz stuck next to you. The pack even sat you between them at dinner. Why, you couldn’t say for certain. It was mostly endearing.
And you tried not to think too much of it when Gaz and Soap grabbed you for hugs again before they took off. Ghost nodded once to you, following the two sergeants, and Price paused in front of you. For a moment, you thought he’d say something, but he ended up just patting your shoulder and leaving.
Leaving you confused and staring after them.
Hey so uh how does one actually go about watching dsmp lore??? I tried watching it in full once from a big ass yt playlist that was meant to have all the important stuff but it was loads of giant long vods that I don't have the attention span for with tiny amounts of relevent lore and I didn't make it very far. I'm assuming ur not supposed to watch it like a show, right??? Like you don't have to watch literally everything that happened???? I could probably just cherrypick some important+interesting plot points and watch them in a vague order????? How do you people do this
Ah yes, DSMP lore, the forever discussion. I'll be honest, it's not easy to get into the DSMP lore because you have a bunch of different POVs that cover a bunch of different plot lines and events, and at least some of this is lost media (streams were not always archived so there are big chunks of people's POVs missing).
I agree that trying to watch ALL of it (all POVs, all storylines) is not a good approach. What is a good approach might be subjective, but here's my personal advice for the best way to experience the DSMP canon as a latecomer:
1 - Pick a specific POV and start with that
A lot easier than trying to watch all in one go or even cherry-picking 'important events' is to pick one specific person's POV and try to watch all of that. You can use a CC whose style you mash with. Personally, I would highly recommend Techno's POV not because I'm biased (though I am) but because he's one of the few CC who has a convenient playlist with all his streams, so you get a complete experience. He also was reasonably involved in a lot of 'bigger' events without streaming daily to the point it gets overwhelming to backwatch his POV. The downside of his POV is you'll miss the pre-Pogtopia stuff, but you can use his POV as a starting point to decide what other CC you'd want to see their POVs of, or watch more POVs of a specific event AFTER you've experienced it within the canon timeline. I do not recommend watching them in a vague order to start out though, I do feel you'd significantly lose the impact of the story.
2 - Yes, you have to watch the giant long vods (kinda)
Yes, the dsmp has a lot of random long 'filler' vods in between big events, but that filler often does build characters and makes you attached to them, so I don't really think skipping them completely and only watching compilations of big events is really going to give you a good experience. People also drop surprise background info in the vods sometimes, there's roleplay beyond just the Big Events (tm). At the very least, you should skim the large vods or maybe play them in the background while doing something else. If you pick a CC you really like, their long vods won't feel like a chore (again, Techno is great for this since he's so entertaining imo).
3 - But also you don't HAVE to watch the long vods (or anything)
On the other hand, the upside of the multiple POV thing is that you don't really like, have to experience everybody's POV. It's okay (and part of the true dsmp experience) to miss out on stuff. I never got into Kinoko Kingdom, I never got into Karl's whole time travel thing, I know very little about Puffy or Ponk or even Eret. You can just stick to your chosen POV and even if that's all you ever invest in, you got yourself a lovely little story to follow. Do not feel the pressure of needing to partake in EVERY plot line or character because I don't think there are many dsmp fans wo have done that and had a good time lol.
4 - You can get your lore from other sources
If you do want to know more about specific events, characters, dynamics, etc and don't want to watch a million POVs, there's really no shame in getting your lore from other sources. Fanart, fanfic, animatics, the wiki, transcripts or lore analysis fans wrote, etc. My only advice is to stay mindful that fans are biased and in the dsmp fandom specifically some people get really fanon-y with their interpretations, so keep that in the back of your mind. Try to take everything with a grain of salt or not just listen to the stans of one character, because they might be misrepresenting canon lol.
I'm not a big fan of a lot of the compilation videos that try to condense the entire dsmp because they often seem super biased to one character and you lose all the charm of the multi-pov approach, hence why I don't advise them as, like, the 'main' or 'first' way to get into dsmp. BUT if you already watched your chosen blorbo's POV and you just want to get some more bite-sized content on one specific event or character, some compilation videos can be nice. Just, again, be aware that you're losing at least SOME context and seeing a very condensed version.
If you want to partake in any kind of lore analysis or discussion for the love of god make sure you got your canon facts straight bc I'm so sick of people bringing fanon/heacanons into actual lore posts- -gets shot-
5 - Just find somebody who is mentally ill /j
In the same vein as 'it's okay to get your lore from other sources', other sources can be 'a random dude on tumblr'. There's a ton of people who are still very passionate about specific characters/lore from the dsmp or the dsmp as a whole, and who probably are more than willing to talk about their favs and lay out the lore for you. I know I certainly need only minimal encouragement to yap about c!Techno and his lore and his relationships for HOURS, and I'm knowledgeable about canon dsmp lore in general, so even if it's not about c!Techno I don't mind answering questions. Curious about a specific character/event/lore thing? Just ask somebody. It's free, it's quick, it's going to make a mentally ill person's day /hj
Again with this one I do advise keeping in mind that some people are biased and might confuse fanon with canon (I'm reasonably good at not doing that, I'd say, but I am a little biased towards c!Techno to some degree probably), and I'd only advise doing it after you've already watched your chosen POV at least for a little while and only use it to get extra info or other perspectives. Unless you wanna ask somebody to lay out like, THE ENTIRE LORE of the server which seems kinda silly. But I bet you'd still find somebody who is willing to do that (sombody is me).
Sorry for yapping so much lol
It's doodling time fellas
I wanted to give myself a bit of a challenge so I decided to draw the ocs of a few people here on tumblr, with the added challenge of doing it fast-
Minimal erasing and redoing, basically whatever is slapped on the page first sticks whether I like it or not. And there is a little time limit on how much I can spent on each character so that I don't get distracted as easily.
Just a little exercise so that hopefully it'll get easier for me to throw down a sketch using few lines and not taking literal hours-w-" I know everyone has their own pace but I would like to be a faster artist.
Anyway my yapping aside and without further delay: The girlies💚💗💜❤
The first one I did and I think it shows>~> I was basically more focused on just figuring out how I wanted to do this so I spent less time and energy on how I wanted the character to look in my style. In the end I settled on doing the basic shapes in pencil and then switching to colored fine liners for details.
With the colors also matches the way I draw digitally just a tiny bit more! Buuuut if I end up doing this again I definitely wanna redraw her, I wanna do this gorgeous character justice after all!/'w'/
Suki
Suuuuukiiii! I did draw her before so I decided to do this version, which I believe to be just her shadow form! While drawing I didn't actually give myself time to look it up cause ya know, no distractions which is why there is a question mark-
But my stupidity aside- here is where I started drawing a lot faster, I was in the zone if you will, so I spent what time I had left adding some variation to the line art. I do like this one and honestly she would probably be so much fun to render digitally so I'll see if I can if there is time:>
Nawa
NOW THIS IS WHERE THE FUN REALLY BEGAN-
Nawa just was such a blast honestly, probably because I was getting really comfortable at this point and let myself play around more with how I stylise the characters! I love me some funky eyes, its probably the most recognisable part of my style.
Also granted I don't know much on Nawa yet(fake fan I'm sorry-/j) I only recently followed the creator so I need to find time to just really browse through their blog and consume all the knowledge there is, but once I do I'll be unstoppable!>:D
An He
Tumblr media
Last but certainly not least we finish with An He, who was a just a chill and nice lil drawing perfect to round out this doodle session-w- now I have actually read ERHS(shameless plug, read it it's so good- just need to find my attention span as I haven't caught up with it SOBS) so I have more knowledge on her.
For that reason I attempted to do a slimmer face shape, i wanted her built overall to read as visibly more thin and petite. Along side that I went for rings in her eyes as an allusion to sound waves as I didnt just wanna drop in a music note and call it a day.
however maybe I'll experiment more another time because I just dont think it reads that well:'<
That concludes my silly ramblings! Thanks for sticking around and if any of the creators of these lovely ladies see this- YOU HAVE AMAZING CHARACTERS AND I HOPE I DID THEM JUSTICE!- ahem.
If I do this again I'll definitely go for some male ocs as well for the sake of variety, it was a happy accident that I only drew girls here.
