summary- after over hearing laurie propose to your sister Jo, heartbroken you decide to leave to paris

'would you do me the greatest honour of making me your husband.'

Laurie's words seemed to replay and echo in the dull hollow walls of your mind. Your heart ached as tears dripped down your face . You were going to tell Laurie you loved him. You thought he loved you.

It was obvious now that you were wrong.

With a hand clamped over your mouth, you muffled the sob threatening to break out from your throat.

What made it worse was that he hadn't proposed to anyone else.

He proposed to Jo.

Anger simmed through you, overtaking the flow of your pain. You had asked Jo if something between her and Laurie had been going on and everytime she replied with 'don't be silly! Laurie's like my brother!' or 'laurie!? What possibly could make you think that!?' and brushed it off with furrowed brows and a disgusted frown.

But that didn't match up with what you had just witnessed.

Through the slightly ajar door, you walked down the hallway of lauries and his grandfather's house, hoping to speak to him only to be met with the sight of Laurie on one knee facing Jo, with a small velvet box holding one of the most gorgeous ring you have ever seen.

'would you do me the greatest honour of make me your husband.'

You held back your sob and flew down the stairs not caring if either of Jo or Laurie heard you.

You ran. Ran till you were in your bedroom, without a second thought, stuffing the rest of your precious belongings into your suitcase, filling it to the brim.

You looked around at your room savouring every inch before hauling your suitcase and down the stairs.

'you're already leaving so early?'

Marmees soft gentle voice called out from behind you, and you sighed turning around to face.

'should I get laurie to help you?'

A weak smile formed on your face, but you knew it was no use. Marmee could see right through anyone.

'no it's alright..I wouldn't want to bother him' your words came out more bitter than you intended to.

Soon without telling Meg, Jo, Beth, or Amy, you walked out of the door.

And to Paris.

'would you do me the greatest honour of make me your husband.'

Laurie knelt on knee holding the velvet box to Jo.

Jo squealed and grabbed Laurie up, wrapping her arms around his neck.

'its perfect! It's time, we need to go tell the others!'

'wait I need to look presentable' Laurie joked before dusting his clothes off and fixing the rough state of his hair.

The pair soon went to Lauries grandfather and told him the news.

He was ecstatic.

They spent an hour with lauries grandfather, before trampling through the thick mount of snow to tell marmee and the girls.

'is she here?', Laurie asked marmee.

Marmee sadly smiled, 'shes already left to the train station'

Laurie felt his heart drop to his stomach.

'what?'

'shes already left to Paris, if you're lucky the train might not have departed yet due to the snow storm.'

You sat on one of the benches at the train station, the bell jar in your hand, as you read impatiently waiting for your train to arrive.

Soon the call of your train was made.

You grabbed your suitcase and bag, holding the book with our arm.

As you began to struggle as you attempted to haul your suitcase and bag on the train, you felt arms grab your suitcase and a familiar voice.

'wait!'

You turned around to see Laurie, his hair sticking in all directions, and his face flushed from the snow.

He grabbed your hand and pulled you away from the train.

'what were you thinking? You were just going to leave? Without telling the girls? Without telling me?' his voice was strained and raspy as if he had been screaming.

'laurie I don't have time for this- the train its leaving!' you harshly ripped yourself from Laurie's grip, attempting to chase the train down as it slowly departed, only to be in his hold again.

He held you against his chest.

'youre not leaving. You cant-why?'

You struggled to find your words.

You looked at him million answers as to why. Why? 'why? Really Laurie why? You know exactly why!' you held a finger to him accusingly as you jabbed him in the chest 'you- what happened to us? We were so close. I love you Laurie. That's 'why?'.' Laurie's jaw dropped as you continued. 'i love you and I thought...' your voice trailed off as you swallowed the lump in your throat frustrated. 'i thought you loved me to. And I went. I went to tell you but you already proposed, I was too late. You love her.' your voice dropped with jealousy and anguish.

'what?' Laurie asked his brows furrowed as he bit the inside of his cheek 'who are you taking about? I love you. Only you.'

You were confused. But didn't he propose to Jo? 'laurie I saw you... I saw..but you proposed to jo.'

Lauries faced changed. His eyes widened as his mouth slowly formed into a grin before he started laughing.

'laurie it's not funny!' you exclaim, yet also finding yourself trying to hide your smile, pushing him away playfully.

Laurie grabbed your hands, enlacing his fingers with yours.

'god, i was practicing to propose.' he chuckled ' I was practicing to propose. To you.'

'oh.' was all that left your mouth but it was nothing compared to the whirlwind of emotions in your stomach.

'so what do you say? Will you be my wife?' he asked grinning as his hands revealed a small velvet box holding the same gorgeous diamond ring.

'yes!' you beamed at him, your cheeks flushed as he slid the ring on your finger.

As laurie quickly embraced you, his chin on your head as you wrapped your arms around your torso, Laurie chuckled,

'i can't believe that after all that practicing this is the propsosal.'

'well I guess that's just the way things go.'

𝒢𝓁𝒸 ─ LEE HEE-SEUNG. 이희승 spends the entire time after you tell him you’re coming in writing a perfect song for you. barely gets a blink of sleep the night before, keeps tossing and turning every second quite literally. re-reads your text conversations, and looks at the photos and videos of you that you shared. at the airport he has a board with your name in case you don’t recognize him with his mask on, his doe eyes are all wide to spot you from far away. honestly has probably learned half of the whole of your language to impress you. when you reach and he sees you, boy doesn’t even wait already rushing to hug you. cries as he rocks your body side to side and on the way back home keeps looking at you.

"you mean so much to me, i don't think i can stay away from you anymore,"

𝒢𝓁𝒸 ─ PARK JONG-SEONG. 박종성 gets and gives himself countless peptalks on how to not have an embarrassing episode. chooses his outfit, perfume, shoes, accessories everything he will have on very very carefully. is nervous to the point of pissing his pants, but forcefully keeps on a calm composure. he just wants to look perfect for you. definitely buys a sweet gift, and has it covered in a pretty wrapper with a handwritten letter inside. looks like a model waiting for you, hands in his pocket as he stands all tall with a cold expression. but the image is gone the moment you arrive, as he melts and gives you a big long kiss. holds onto your hand- has your fingers intertwined the whole ride back home.

"having you by my side is like the greatest gift ever, i hope i always have it,"

𝒢𝓁𝒸 ─ SIM JAE-YUN. 심재윤 is nervous since day one after he got to know you’re coming to meet him. calls you every night to talk about what you’re gonna do when you’re here. flirts a lot saying now that you’ll be together in real life for some time, he’s going to take full advantage of it. updates you on his every action on the day of your arrival even though he knows you can’t check your phone. takes out time to learn his favorite endearment terms in your language so that he can make you feel special. also please he’s not waiting, as soon as you’re in his line of sight, he’s sprinting to you, picking you up and twirling you in a hug like in the movies. attached at the hip to you the whole entire time. gives tons & all types of kisses until the day of your return.

𝒢𝓁𝒸 ─ PARK SUNG-HOON. 박성훈 wakes up early to stand in the line and buy your favourite food from your favorite place. has all the members gathered to help him decide what he should wear, nitpicks on every detail. practices everyday what all he wants to say to you face to face, probably changes the wordings a lot. yet forgets everything when he lays his eyes on you as you come running to him. stumbles back a little before holding you tight against him. whispers how he missed you, almost cries, eyes brimming with tears and shuttering when trying to speak. stealing glances, and looking away smiling all shy now that you’re going to be next to him for a while. cannot for the love of god make eye contact, he malfunctions.

𝒢𝓁𝒸 ─ KIM SUN-WOO. 김선우 excited from the very beginning, prepares something handmade to give you. almost everyone he knows closely, knows that you’re coming, he just can’t stop talking about it. everyone at the airport can already guess that he’s waiting for someone special. practically screams your name before you run to each other and he’s squishing you a bone tight hug. showers your entire face with kisses, while squealing and asking if this real and you’re actually here. for sure you both cry saying how much you wanted to meet and now, finally. he absolutely cannot stop giggling and smiling with his eyes the entire time of your stay. does not bother acknowledging anyone that's not you.

𝒢𝓁𝒸 ─ YANG JUNG-WON. 양정원 spends the entire morning at the flowershop picking out the perfect bouquet to show his love for you. also buys these little couple bracelet set he came across on the way to the airport. probably has a serious talk with heeseung or jake the night before. you bet jungwon's secretly learnt your language, has a big speech prepared in it. waits at the airport terminal looking like a soft bunny, breathing calm but exploding inside. noticing your figure, excitedly walks to the other side of the barrier, calling out your name with a smile. gives you the flowers then holds both of your hands as he speaks, small tears dropping. kisses your eyes when you start crying too.

𝒢𝓁𝒸 ─ NISHIMURA RI-KI. 西村力 so nervous he thinks he'll pass out any moment. asks for all kind of advice from everyone he knows and notes it down on his notes app. acts out a fake scenario in his head of how he's going to jump you, hug the hell out of you, pepper you with kisses and absolutely make it so cute without crying. but the moment he sees you, poor baby starts sobbing like anything. it's so overwhelming, walks up to you in quick steps and pulls you into a tight hug. nuzzles his head into the crook of your neck, apologizing for 'ruining' this but he just so happy that you're here. after he's calm down it's just a shy boy. takes you both a while to get rid of the shyness but it's all really cute honestly.

Tableskills: Creating Dread

I've often had a lot of problems telling scary stories at my table, whether it be in d&d or other horror focused games. I personally don't get scared easily, especially around "traditionally horrifying" things so it's hard for me to recreate that experience in others. Likewise, you can't just port horror movie iconography into tabletop and expect it to evoke genuine fear: I've already spoken of being bored out of my mind during the zombie apocalypse, and my few trips into ravenloft have all been filled with similar levels of limp and derivative grimdark.

It took me a long time (and a lot of video essays about films I'd never watched) to realize that in terms of an experience fear is a lot like a joke, in that it requires multiple steps of setup and payoff. Dread is that setup, it's the rising tension in a scene that makes the revelation worth it, the slow and literal rising of a rollercoaster before the drop. It's way easier to inspire dread in your party than it is to scare them apropos of nothing, which has the added flexibility of letting you choose just the right time to deliver the frights.

TLDR: You start with one of the basic human fears (guide to that below) to emotionally prime your players and introduce it to your party in a initially non-threataning manor. Then you introduce a more severe version of it in a way that has stakes but is not overwhelmingly scary just yet. You wait until they're neck deep in this second scenario before throwing in some kind of twist that forces them to confront their discomfort head on.

Before we go any farther it's vitally important that you learn your party's limits and triggers before a game begins. A lot of ttrpg content can be downright horrifying without even trying to be, so it's critical you know how everyone in your party is going to react to something before you go into it. Whether or not you're running an actual horror game or just wanting to add some tension to an otherwise heroic romp, you and your group need to be on the same page about this, and discuss safety systems from session 0 onwards.

The Fundamental Fears: It may seem a bit basic but one of the greatest tools to help me understand different aspects of horror was the taxonomy invented by Jonathan Sims of The Magnus Archives podcast. He breaks down fear into different thematic and emotional through lines, each given a snappy name and iconography that's so memorable that I often joke it's the queer-horror version of pokemon types or hogwarts houses. If we start with a basic understanding of WHY people find things scary we learn just what dials we need turn in order to build dread in our players.

Implementation: Each of these examples is like a colour we can paint a scene or encounter with, flavouring it just so to tickle a particular, primal part of our party's brains. You don't have to do much, just something along the lines of "the upcoming cave tunnel is getting a little too close for comfort" or "the all-too thin walkway creaks under your weight ", or "what you don't see is the movement at the edge of the room". Once the seed is planted your party's' minds will do most of the work: humans are social, pattern seeking creatures, and the hint of danger to one member of the group will lay the groundwork of fear in all the rest.

The trick here is not to over commit, which is the mistake most ttrpgs make with horror: actually showing the monster, putting the party into a dangerous situation, that’s the finisher, the  punchline of the joke. It’s also a release valve on all the pressure you’ve been hard at work building.

There’s nothing all that scary about fighting a level-appropriate number of skeletons, but forcing your party to creep through a series of dark, cobweb infested catacombs with the THREAT of being attacked by undead? That’s going to have them climbing the walls.

Let narration and bad dice rolls be your main tools here, driving home the discomfort, the risk, the looming threat.

Surprise: Now that you’ve got your party marinating in dread, what you want to do to really scare them is to throw a curve ball. Go back to that list and find another fear which either compliments or contrasts the original one you set up, and have it lurking juuuust out of reach ready to pop up at a moment of perfect tension like a jack in the box. The party is climbing down a slick interior of an underdark cavern, bottom nowhere in sight? They expect to to fall, but what they couldn't possibly expect is for a giant arm to reach out of the darkness and pull one of them down. Have the party figured out that there's a shapeshifter that's infiltrated the rebel meeting and is killing their allies? They suspect suspicion and lies but what they don't expect is for the rebel base to suddenly be on FIRE forcing them to run.

My expert advice is to lightly tease this second threat LONG before you introduce the initial scare. Your players will think you're a genius for doing what amounts to a little extra work, and curse themselves for not paying more attention.

Restraint: Less is more when it comes to scares, as if you do this trick too often your players are going to be inured to it. Try to do it maybe once an adventure, or dungeon level. Scares hit so much harder when the party isn't expecting them. If you're specifically playing in a "horror" game, it's a good idea to introduce a few false scares, or make multiple encounters part of the same bait and switch scare tactic: If we're going into the filthy gross sewer with mould and rot and rats and the like, you'll get more punch if the final challenge isn't corruption based, but is instead some new threat that we could have never prepared for.

Developing team Tour de Pizza really outdone themselves 5 years of crafting the greatest Wario-inspired side-scrolling platform (with a hint of Sonic) indie game the world has yet seen. They succeed of making me addicted to a genre I never appreciate, since I am latched on RPGs and life sims most of the time.

The TSR Debacle

I reposted an excellent write up this morning HERE about some of what's been happening over at The Sims Resource. Oh darlins.... that's not even close to allllll of the shit that's storming. I'm going to reblog several responses to the absolute piece of corporate drivel that TSR has publicly released to try and smooth out the gigantic backlash against them. Go read the statement by TSR first HERE... so that you can fully appreciate the abject ridiculousness and the corporate snivelling doubletalk that they expect you to swallow....

... and they didn't even ask you out on a date first!

I have had the HONOR to work with many of these absolutely AMAZING ARTISTS for the past few months. To create, side by side with this crew of people has been a dream come true for me. I got brought into MOD Collective back in May and yea... I was a bit nervous about what to expect..... Then I "walked" into the MOD discord and found some of my most FAVORITE custom content artists!!!! Are you freakin' kidding me?!? I get to work with some of the greatest Sims Creators out there.... a dream come true. Better yet, is when you finally get to meet some of your heros and realize that they are all really awesome people too. ..... and then this shit with TSR happens.

.......... I wasn't going to get involved. I was going to just repost a few other blogs...... but this corporate announcement from TSR is so rife with absolute spin doctored, "we-are-losing-customers-so-we'll-say-anything-to-try-and-make-us-look-like-the-good-guys" ludicrousness, that I wanted to add my own perspective of what I'm seeing.

I'm seeing people who've given YEARS of their lives to working with TSR, suddenly getting fired- with no warning, by some nameless pion in TSR that none of them has even heard of before, let alone knows who this person is. I'm seeing wonderful artists who RELY on their income from TSR to put food on the table and a roof over the heads of their families... getting thrown under the bus. I'm seeing people in Shock over how they've just been treated. ..... and now I'm seeing some corporate shill/shitbag putting out the LAMEST excuse imaginable to explain why these awesome people have been kicked to the curb.

Pure, nasty, bullshit.

I have so much more I'd like to say on this subject, but I'm going to leave it with this final comment: TSR doesn't give a rats ass about the people who are creating the content that YOU want. If you love your content creators, then it's up to you to express your "dissatisfaction".

The best way to express yourself is to Vote with your Feet.

Thoughts on Shirahama and Kagi dynamics? 🤔

OH THERE’S SO MUCH. I’ll give a sampler because there’s a part of me that wants to make a primer on all my shirahama feelings but like, we don’t have time, and also you’ve read something there + know about the dating sim au so I feel like you must know my basic thoughts. I’m gonna say a lot of things like, that are kind of unsubstantiated and I’m just extrapolating but like IT’S ALL TRUE TO ME. so first off the gifts of the love & passion ch from the ssmy first years light novel just keep on giving. did you know shirahama actually joined the ping pong club with tashiro? convinced him into joining it, even. to exit the club they had to beat another member—and while Shirahama went up against a first year, the unnamed president played against Tashiro. to fuck him over and keep him in the club forever. story for another day. the POINT is that in love & passion tashiro & shirahama are initially characterized with that same apathy at the outset. and then what happens, from tashiro’s view, is that Shirahama joins the basketball team, and he gets REALLY into it. he’s not anywhere close to being the star of it, but he clearly loves it. from love & passion: “He’d told me bitterly about how another first-year had gotten to play in a real game while Shirahama sat on the sidelines. It seemed to have lit a fire under him at practice.”

which. hey. we know that’s kagiura, right? and that’s a guy who is the epitome of the idea of passion and love for what you do. It’s part of what makes him so attractive to hirano imo. and he’s so good at basketball, and as far as we can tell, fairly popular? remember those valentines chocolates. so like, to Shirahama, kagiura is like. The Cool Popular Kid. he’s great at basketball, he’s a star freshman, he gets confessions… isn’t he just swell? shirahama is none of this. there’s this crazy part in ch 49 where shirahama’s flashbacking to hearing kagi and some other kid asking for time off in the cultural festival. (by the way, I’m fairly sure this gets covered in the hirano to kagiura light novel?) and he’s like… no, I can do it (take time off from club) because. presumably even as a third year, he’s not super core to the club? so I think there’s this inherent comparison he’s always making, one that always puts shirahama at a disadvantage. he’s that kind of negative person, I feel.

but the thing is because shirahama pays attention to him so damn much, he also knows way more about him than a “casual teammate” should, I think. we never see kagiura and shirahama hang out w/ each other, because they’re not friends, but nonetheless shirahama is keeping tabs on him, having conversations with him. he’s making smalltalk abt kagiura’s shoes wearing out and he knows about kagiura’s vday dilemmas and all that. he gets annoyed when other ppl rag on kagiura for being able to skip cleanup, because he knows just how serious kagiura is. he's so aware of what a good guy kagi is. and I think because of that it’s so fascinating. because he’s jealous, and prone to bitterness, and yet he’s probably one of kagiura’s greatest appreciators, on that team. really interesting dynamic to me. kagiura’s probably indifferent to him and shirahama’s overaware. I think shirahama’s just attracted to that kind of passion, though. see miyano’s big sparkly eyes when he gets really into stuff he likes. I think it’s the kind of thing he can’t help but notice about someone. he’s just compelled, plain and simple, even if he can’t word how or why...

Accessory Western and English Saddles + Poses and Blender Files!

Okay, so, bare with me here, this might be a bit long. This one's mostly for the other CC creators out there, but I have included a few simple poses for those who just want to make stories and stuff! Here's the lowdown:

I haven't seen this done yet and wanted to fill this gap in content creation, so I went ahead and created both an accessory western saddle and an accessory english saddle! I've also included the blender files for those who can and want to make poses with these accessories. I've tested these as much as I possibly can, but if you find any issues you'd like addressed, just let me know and I'll try to fix them! Consider this a "V1.0"

here's what you get:

Accessory western and english saddles in all 17 EA swatches

3 poses for each (not interchangeable!)

2 blender files for pose creation

Some things to note:

I know the textures don't look the greatest. I'm sorry, its a limitation with where sims combines UV maps and stuff, there's nothing I can do about it without potentially limiting the major clothing items your sims can wear while using the accessory saddle.

For the blender files, the UV is in the GLASSES section. Its the only place I could realistically put it, so I can't help if your sim wears glasses while using the accessory saddles, they're gonna look a bit funky. If you know how to change this and would like to, go ahead.

I know there's a couple thumbnails missing for some of the western saddles, I have tried over and over to fix it, sims refuses. Its finnneeeeee.

I know the poses are also a little awkward, again its a bit of a limitation with how bone assignments work and getting the saddles to move semi-properly for poses. Again, if you know how to fix this and think you can do a better job, go right ahead!

The rules: DO NOT claim you made these blender files. Please, give me credit where its due if you upload things like poses or modifications with the acessory saddles! I'd really appreciate it so others can make things too if they want. Have fun! That's it.

despite being the smartest person the room at any given time, david alleyne is by far and above the least subtle person josh foley has ever met.

they'd only been reunited for - what, two weeks? and already he sees the gears turning. he doesn't need to know the ins and outs of young avengers interpersonal drama to know that he wants his alone time, and that this right here is both an effort to get that, and an earnest attempt at forcing a friendship between his two biggest problems in the hopes that'd become a solution.

pairing up might be the wrong word. this feels like a playdate, like the drop-off at another house and run kind. the kind that had happened a lot when he was a kid and was categorically too much compared to his significantly older brothers. these days the too much he was came in the depressing variety, not the desperate for attention and willing to do anything for it kind. no, this was the opposite. the we did not talk for six years because i threw my sim card and tracking chips into the fucking ocean after some shit i refuse to tell you about and then six months after my funeral, which apparently you attended with your new team, not jealous or anything, glad you found the time, you found me at a bodega buying chips and forcefully injected yourself back into my life, not that i'm complaining, and now you feel compelled to "fix me" when i cannot be fixed variety.

that being said - well, there's the guilt. unspoken secret ontop of unspoken secret, the greatest of which being that he was no longer an x-man and now if someone could compel him to wear a uniform, it'd bear the insignia of the good ole brotherhood of evil mutants. that had yet to come up organically in any conversation and while it was probably the lightest of weights he was carrying, there never seemed to be a good time to drop it.

and speaking of dropping it. josh's blank eyes cast a glance at the dark haired boy seated across from him. a far younger and less tactful version of himself would have asked, point blank, why it was that wiccan of wiccan and hulkling now seemed to be just wiccan... but that seemed self-evident. people break up. superheroes most of all, and most messily.

They say if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere! Celebrities can be found wandering the shops and giving impromptu performances all over Sims3City. There's live show venues everywhere and it's easy to see why they say this city runs on dreams yet never sleeps!

I found this absolutely gorgeous map: Waterfall Beauty and just had to use it to make my own city world save! This map did come with lots already designated so I filled it up with the best townhouses, apartments, and city life buildings I could find or make to make my own version of a mashup of Starlight Shores and Bridgeport.

Downtown, you can get those extra strings at the DownTown Music Store, play some games at the Laserberry Arcade, and then head over to the Stardust Diner for some drinks and good times!

If you go at certain times of the day to catch a movie at Serena's Community Cinema, you might be able to see some of today's biggest stars working on set! You can pick up whatever you need at the big Sims 3 Market nearby and marvel at all of the old historical residential buildings before you head over to the Double Rainbow Disco Club for more dancing!

For those sims with a more exclusive taste, Club 112 in the historical section is the perfect lounge!

There's The Remaude Coffee Emporium Coffeehouse and Elixir Of Life Coffeehouse and shops for more live venues and fun in Sims3City!

After all of that excitement, the city folks like to visit the Stone Troll Mill Fishing Pond to unwind and maybe catch some dinner if they're lucky!

I am also attempting to use context, as it has been a long day for them.” Zhongli is in his classic “majestic thinking gentleman” pose, and you’d admire it more if it weren’t for the fact that they don’t seem to be getting what you’re saying.

You hadn’t yet found someone with a higher friendship level than 2 or 3 (hey, don’t blame yourself, you really have to put effort into friendship levels to get them anywhere and you were still busy screwing around in Sumeru when you got spirited away).

So needless to say, most people were getting “the, me, I, you, etc.” rather than the actual important keywords you needed them to, hence the godly charade game now.

As you “hold” something, you throw your hands up in the air, still keeping your hands wrapped around nothing. You think if somebody told you last week that you’d be playing charades with the archons in Genshin Impact so you could actually communicate with them… well you don’t know what you would have done. Maybe just gave them a really awkward laugh.

“Oh! Are you asking for a weapon? Akitsu Mikami, my emperor, we or our nations will surely provide protection from any harm that might befall you. Hm, I suppose we should offer something anyway… I wouldn’t want to displease them…” Ei mutters to herself, having taken over her puppet once more for the occasion.

She and Buer, still retaining their authority status, had asked for the area to be cleared in order to try and get closer to communicating with the Divine First, or you.

“Ha! What idiot would try to hurt the All-Parent in their home, unless they wish to get thrown?” Venti cheekily says, as you don’t understand him, but judging by Zhongli’s clenched jaw, Ei’s sigh, and Nahida’s giggle, you can guess.

You give your own sad sigh… it’s already been 3 hours. 😭

How hard is charades for 4 archons??

Well… apparently very hard.

You put your face in your hands, and you hear the (retired) archons start to debate something, you can tell it’s getting a little passive-aggressive between Venti and Zhongli by their tone alone. 

…Okay, now it’s just aggressive.

The archons eventually give their attention back to you so you can go back to your charades lol

You tried opening your mouth and closing it, very obvious, they can’t go wrong. 

…Turns out they can. 

Somehow you find yourself with a hot tea brewed by the geo archon. 

(Venti attempted to offer you Dandelion Wine, or Osmanthus Wine even, and only god, well you now, knows where he pulled them from. Ei swatted his head, he looked so offended, and his cheeks were all puffed up, heh.)

Giving up, you just try to motion for them to stay still, your hands gesturing like trying to calm a wild animal.

They give you questioning looks, and you begin to walk off, they all seem to immediately start discussing something with each other. All of the gods look very conflicted, and after a minute of you getting further away (yes, you’re almost home free, Xiangling here you come! ) Nahida skips to catch up with you.

She gives you a beaming smile, and you can’t bring yourself to not return it. She's so much cuter in real life, even the official art didn't do her justice.

You make your way towards the restaurant, finally.

And apparently you’re happier than you thought to smell the savory scents flowing out of the kitchen because your stomach growls loudly.

You’re too hungry to even attempt to stop it, no one will care, except Nahida’s eyes go wide. She begins to sputter, and flail her hands desperately trying to charade an apology at you.

…you were just trying to tell them you were hungry. 💀

Hey guys, can someone please recommend me a farming simulator similar to Stardew Valley and Wylde Flowers? I miss raising crops and caring for it and maybe for animals, but I no longer can play those games due to spending way too much time in it.

I tend to stay away from pixel and anime games and prefer 3D, more realistic looking game (but it's a hit or miss, so gotta look it up first).

Must be available on PC (mostly Steam, but it doesn't matter much). I'll keep this post updated to the best of my abilities.

Graveyard Keeper, My Time at Portia (and My Time At Sandrock), Slime Rancher, Farming Simulator 2019, Littlewood, Sun Haven (cool concept in this one, but it's furry pixelated fantasy anime that overwhelms me completely with its mechanics and its style.)

I tried and mostly liked:

Coral Island (but the game is still in development, more than a half story is missing and I regret buying it in the early access. A buggy mess that I do not recommend to buy until they finish the plot and fix the bugs. I had to restart the game, lost all my progress, pushed through, and the devs still add content that was promised, like, a year ago. If they ask to restart the third time, I'm gonna be VERY mad.) Fae Farm (tried the demo, seemed really nice, will buy with a huge discount. the mining seems tedious, the writing is not the greatest, not a lot of romance options, way too expensive for what they're asking, but the farming mechanic itself is really nice). Snacko (tried the demo. Due to the progress not being saved I'm not bothering to try it again. The writing is a bit annoying, but, surprisingly, the farming aspect seems alright. Would try it again when on a big sale.) Palia. Finished romancing Jel and completely lost interest in the game. Free-to-play & multiplayer is not for me, but the farming aspect is not really that big. 5-8 crops, no animals, nothing to see here. Plus, it costs real life time to do anything & I find that really wasteful.

Similar games I liked that aren't exactly farming sims and I'm not looking for, but I'll name them anyway:

Banished, Stacklands, Kingdoms and Castles

I didn't spend enough time in it, but the vibe/style/mechanics/etc were off:

Settlement Survival, Timberborn, Summer in Mara, Fabledom, Farm Together (costs real life time, not much to do there, no plot, feels like a free-to-play mobile game)

I got recommended, but I tend to stay away from it:

Farlands (pixels), Story of Seasons (anime and cultural differences I don't agree with. I believe I tried it, but noped myself out of there immediately), Moonstone Island (pixels, anime)

On my wishlist, haven't tried yet:

Disney Dreamlight Valley, Roots of Pacha, Little Witch In The Woods (questionable, just like most of pixelated games, but hasn't deleted from my wishlist yet), Kynseed
