persephone (simon riley x f!reader) age gap, a bit coercive, dark
—
it started with fruit.
you were simon riley’s secretary, working for a man clouded in darkness and gold. you’d hear whispers on the street, see pitying faces when you mentioned who you worked for to strangers. to them, he was a cold, hard beast. to you, he was a king.
he started by bringing you fruit, pomegranate seeds and ghost-white pears. small quips about eating healthy now while you were still young enough. ms twenty something meets mr not-yet middle aged, the lines of his face just starting to crease but the beer belly nowhere to be found. he mined diamonds, you heard. he owned cemeteries, said another secretary. they call him ghost, whispered a personal assistant. you didn’t care, didn’t need to when that wasn’t your job.
he had scarred hands, craggly things winding into the cuff of his midnight black suits. didn’t wear a mask but always seemed to be covered in darkness, his face unrecognizable in half lit rooms and empty offices. he always stayed late so you did too, indulging in the extra car he ordered for you, his driver called charon. simon never held long conversations but simply beckoned you, some string in your belly pulling tight at his recognition. at least a third of his day spent with you, murmuring soft nothings, inquiring about your mother and the upcoming winter, the beauty in the death of the trees. “y’ smell like spring, love.” he’d said one morning, and you resolved to wear that same pomegranate spritz indefinitely.
and then it moved to jewels. congratulations on your one year preceded by a tennis bracelet. a trinket of a three headed dog, something small to keep on your desk. the hours draw on later and later, canceled plans with your mother and nymph-like friends piling up like leaves. his touch starts lingering, hard calluses on soft skin.
a hand on your back, guiding you into a conference room. your hair brushing against his torso, the intimacy of it jarring. you twisted your ankle one day, the height of your heels overindulgent. ended up on the couch in his private office, his hands massaging your foot. “like a delicate flower.” he’d murmured, rewarding you with an anklet of diamonds once the pain wore off.
three years in, an invite to his private island. no service, leave your phone at home. sign an nda, we’ll work remote, gone for a month maybe more. pack some nice clothes, maybe a white dress if you’ve got one. take my card if you don’t.
stepping off the helicopter, charon at the helm. you weren’t there against your will but the hairy arm around your waist was heavy, a reminder of the cost you’d paid to visit the underworld. two weeks in and you couldn’t even act surprised when he proposed, on one knee with a glint in his eyes. “you and me, love, against th’ world.”
and if you said yes to the fruit, the diamonds, the care, the attention - saying yes to this was just the next step. an elopement, he’d already drawn up the license - “why wait, dove? y’r so fragile already.” you’re not, have a hidden strength under you, but ghost doesn’t care, ghost takes what he wants, and you, legs spread and eyes soft, are it.
when he fucks you, that’s when it’s settled. cunt dripping on his fingers, his face, his cock. he mutters something about a vasectomy and you’re taking him bare, making eye contact with a ghostlike gardener who walks past the window. your jaw unhinged, drool at the corner of your mouth as he fucks you from behind, one hand on your throat.
“such a good secretary, hm?” and you nod ferociously like the three-headed puppy on your desk. you’ll never work again, too busy with his cock in your mouth or his remote vibrator in your cunt at dinner. the jewels drip into a roar - diamond encrusted toys you’re not sure are entirely safe, bejeweled handcuffs, glittery collars. he’s pluto, the riches of the earth following his orders when he chases you in his private woods. simon’s presence is otherworldly, taking you with the strength of a god as you squirm against his grip. his oldness disgusts you but makes you gush all the same. “gonna be good for daddy?” and you agree vehemently at the king before you, on his knees.

Forever His | C.Sc
Pairing: Seungcheol x reader
Genre: fluff, angst, slightly smut
Words Count: 3,5K
Summary: You found out that Seungcheol was marrying you for your property and wealth while you're pregnant with his child. What would you do? Let him go or play a fool?
Seungcheol growled in anger upon hearing several hurried knocks on his bedroom door well past midnight. Inside, he held you close, releasing all the pent-up affection from his business trip. Your face blushed from the intimate activity, your lips plumped, and Seungcheol was the reason behind it all. Initially oblivious to the noise, you regained your senses when he suddenly stopped and questioned him, "Why?"
Seungcheol sighed, his lips peppering a gentle kiss on your forehead. He whispered, "I'm sorry," before continuing, "get dressed. Don't want anyone to see you like this," accompanied by another peck on your shoulder. You observed him donning a robe before rising to walk to your closet to get dressed. It had been a week since you last saw him during his business trip to Hong Kong, and he immediately reveled in the moment upon his return.
You understood the frustration etched on his face as he headed to the door, reprimanding his assistant whom he had just seen a few hours ago—more than he had seen you all week. Despite the interruption, you decided not to retake your shower, opting for minimal clothing just in case the interrupted moment could be resumed. Wrapped in your robe, you lay on the bed with a tablet in hand, patiently awaiting your husband's return while attempting to mentally prepare for the upcoming workday.
It had been a year since you met Seungcheol, and you had been married for six months. People remarked that you two were still in the honeymoon phase, a sentiment you couldn't deny. The longest time apart was a mere week, and when you were both home, the opportunity for intimacy was ever-present—bed, kitchen, home office, or even the car. Seungcheol cared little about the location as long as he could be close to you, witnessing your pleasure, and hearing you moan his name, a source of immense satisfaction and ego boost for him.
After nearly half an hour since your shared intimacy was interrupted, Seungcheol entered the bedroom, and you welcomed him with a smile, setting aside your device as he approached. However, your joy was short-lived as he dropped a bombshell— an urgent matter required his immediate attention, shattering the serene moment.
His apology hung in the air, and you gazed into his eyes, almost whispering, "Can't it wait until tomorrow?" His gaze met yours, and he replied, "I'm sorry, but everyone needs me." The weight of his words settled, and you nodded, offering him a kiss. He whispered a goodnight and covered you with a blanket.
As he prepared to leave, he assured you, "I'm going. If you need anything, Eunji is downstairs, okay?" The deep kiss on your forehead lingered, leaving you with a mix of understanding and a touch of loneliness as he walked away, duty calling him away from the warmth of your shared moments.
As you sat in your office, a sense of solitude crept in as hours passed without any news from Seungcheol. Reflecting on your father's words, "A big power would come with a big responsibility, Y/n," you realized the weight of the responsibilities that came with leading two prominent companies. You, as the director of Seri Corps, and Seungcheol, the owner of a property investment company dealing with hotels, apartments, residences, and department stores, found little time to break away from the demanding roles.
The constant influx of work surrounded your thoughts, echoing your father's wisdom. You yearned for a moment to confront Seungcheol's assistant, Kim Mingyu, about easing the workload on your husband. Simultaneously, you knew Seungcheol harbored similar thoughts about Myungho, your secretary.
Seungcheol's suggestion of taking a break from work and starting a family lingered in your mind. "How about a little break from work? It might end up with a cute baby like you..." he had expressed his desire to build a family since the early days of your marriage.
Initially hesitant, thoughts swirled in your mind. Could you be ready to be a mother? Your upbringing without a mother made you wary, but Seungcheol had gradually changed your perspective. His love, support, and dreams of a family with you had softened your reservations. You found yourself yearning for the joy of building a family with Seungcheol, confident that he would be an exceptional father, creating a world of happiness for your future children.
After a lengthy discussion with Seungcheol about starting a family, you took the decision to visit your ob-gyn and began the journey towards pregnancy. For the past three months, you had gradually reduced your workload, entrusting responsibilities to your younger brother, Lee Chan, while actively trying to conceive with your husband. Unbeknownst to Seungcheol, you had already been pregnant for four weeks, and the only person privy to this news was Myungho, your ever-attentive secretary.
Myungho had been a pillar of support, ensuring your well-being by sending nutritious meals and a glass of pregnancy milk to your desk every morning. He also exhibited consideration for your workload, making efforts to send you home before 6. This morning, upon entering the office, you found Myungho had prepared your favorite breakfast from a beloved restaurant, lifting your spirits from the previous night's glum mood.
Despite your gratitude, you declined Myungho's offer to check an anonymous file that had been delivered to you. As you enjoyed your meal, you informed him that you'd arrange for your own transportation home and would call upon Eunji, the bodyguard Seungcheol had assigned to you.
"Just in case," Seungcheol explained when he was questioned about the need for a bodyguard, triggering memories of a near altercation when you initially resisted the idea. You asserted your ability to protect yourself, having learned jiu-jitsu and basic shooting. However, that night, Seungcheol revealed a hidden compartment beside your bed containing a gun. Holding your wrists firmly, he calmly stated, "I'm not doing this because you're a woman, but because you're my woman," emphasizing his commitment to your safety.
*
"Are we heading home, mam?" Eunji inquired, her gaze alternating between the road and the rearview mirror, noting the exhaustion etched on your face. Concerned, she questioned you about it.
"Just tired, thanks for asking. Yes, we're going home, please," you replied with a smile, appreciating Eunji's thoughtful gesture. Myungho, attentive to the shifting atmosphere, was about to join the conversation, sensing your unease.
"I'm okay, Secretary Seo. You should go home," you reassured him before closing the car door, leaving Myungho behind as the car set off for your house.
Looking out the window, your reflection mirrored the complex emotions brewing within you. As you questioned Eunji about your husband's whereabouts, her lips tightened, emphasizing her reluctance to share such information.
You hadn't received any news from Seungcheol today, a departure from the usual routine. While you recognized the demands of his busy schedule, today was different; a yearning for his comforting presence intensified, especially with the added vulnerability brought on by the pregnancy.
The familiar presence of threats was not new to you, but today brought a different kind of menace. A letter arrived this morning, accompanied by pictures and a USB. The images depicted Seungcheol in the company of an unidentified person, taken just hours after he left you the previous night. The revelation injected a new level of tension into an already uncertain day.
As you connected the USB, the file unfolded a chilling conversation between Seungcheol and his uncle, Choi Junggan. The revelation shook you to the core as they discussed plans to take control of Seri Department Store, a place with deep roots in your family history.
"We need her to hand you the Seri Department Store this year," Choi Junggan's voice declared, triggering disbelief and confusion within you. Seungcheol's voice, usually a source of comfort, uttered words that contradicted everything he had ever said to you.
Frozen in your car seat, you listened as Seungcheol acknowledged his role in the plan, vowing to gain your trust to further their hidden agenda. The shock reverberated through you, and doubts about the authenticity of your relationship took hold.
Arriving home, you rushed to your shared office, desperate to find evidence that would contradict the betrayal you had just uncovered. Each desk you searched only intensified the sinking feeling in your gut. Stumbling upon a hidden map and recalling the secret desk with a concealed gun, fear gripped you.
Questions raced through your mind—was Seungcheol planning something sinister? Was he preparing to harm you? The shivers intensified as you discovered a Memorandum of Understanding signed by your father and Seungcheol's father, outlining a deal that involved transferring the Seri Department Store to Seri Corps to settle debts. A chilling note from Seungcheol himself accompanied the document, vowing retribution for the suffering caused by Seri Corps.
The foundation of your trust crumbled as you grappled with the harsh reality that Seungcheol might have used you to fulfill a hidden agenda, driven by a desire for revenge against your family. The love and assurances you believed in were now clouded by a chilling revelation, leaving you in a state of shock and betrayal.

In the sudden darkness, every creak of the floor beneath your cautious steps echoed through the house, a symphony of dread playing in the silence. The weight of the unknown assailant's presence hung heavily, suffocating the very air you breathed. Your trembling fingers fumbled for your phone, desperation rising as you attempted to call Eunji for help, but the device felt foreign and cumbersome in your anxious grip.
Before the call could connect, a vice-like grip clamped around you from behind, the cold edge of a knife pressing menacingly against your neck. Panic set in, and your mind raced through the horrifying possibilities of what this intruder might do. The chilling voice that whispered into your ear shattered any semblance of security, laying bare a sinister knowledge about your husband's actions.
"Have you found out about who your husband truly is?"
As you closed your eyes, you clung to a prayer for rescue, desperately hoping that someone, anyone, would come to your aid in this supposedly secure haven. The slight pain from the knife's pressure served as a cruel reminder of the peril you found yourself in, each second dragging like an eternity.
Summoning the courage to question the intruder, you choked out, "Who sent you?" The tightening grip around your neck conveyed a chilling refusal to answer, and the revelation hinted at a darker truth about Seungcheol, unraveling the very fabric of the reality you once believed in.
"The person who sent me wants the department store you have."
In a surreal twist, the lights flickered back on, momentarily blinding both you and your assailant. Seizing the opportunity, you instinctively flipped away from the unknown threat, your heart pounding in your ears as you sprinted towards the bedroom. The slam of the door, the metallic click of the lock, and the thudding of your own heartbeat created a cacophony of tension in the enclosed space.
As you sought the hidden gun, the room felt like a battleground, the seconds ticking away in sync with your frantic breaths. Dialing Myungho, your voice trembled with urgency, "Send police to my house, someone's trespassing and tried to hurt me!" The air became charged with a sense of impending danger as you awaited assistance, realizing that the sanctuary of your home had been shattered, leaving you vulnerable and exposed to a threat that had breached even the most intimate corners of your life.
*
Seungcheol's heart raced as he sped towards home, two police cars in tow. The tension in the air was palpable, and he exchanged a concerned glance with Kim Mingyu, who was navigating through the traffic while contacting the dispatcher for an alternative route. However, the gravity of the situation became evident when Mingyu's expression shifted, and their eyes met in the rearview mirror.
"They are heading to your house, sir," Mingyu relayed the alarming news.
Seungcheol's furrowed eyebrows betrayed his growing anxiety. "What do you mean?"
Mingyu swiftly removed his earpiece and pressed harder on the gas pedal. "Someone's trespassing your house and trying to hurt Mrs. Choi."
Upon arrival, Seungcheol rushed into the house, his senses heightened by the impending threat. The scene unfolded before him – you seated on the kitchen counter, Myungho tending to a wound on your neck, and police officers meticulously investigating the incident. The sight cut through Seungcheol like a knife, and his eyes locked onto yours as he approached.
Without a word, he enveloped you in his arms, a mixture of relief and concern etched across his face. The chaos in the house seemed to fade into the background as Seungcheol held you close, silently vowing to protect you from any harm that dared to breach the sanctuary you both called home.
Seungcheol's concern was evident as he gently inspected the wound on your neck, his expression softening in a mix of worry and tenderness. Faced with the undeniable proof of your vulnerability, he couldn't help but ask, "What did he do to you?"
A hesitant smile played on your lips as you replied, "So you know him..."
Myungho, ever considerate, discreetly stepped away, allowing the two of you a moment of privacy. Seungcheol's eyes remained fixed on yours, a silent acknowledgment of the tumultuous situation that had unfolded.
Pulling you into his protective embrace once again, Seungcheol's concern escalated into frustration. He directed his anger toward Mingyu, demanding to know why there wasn't proper security in place when the intrusion occurred. Mingyu bowed apologetically, promising to investigate the lapse.
As the commotion settled, Seungcheol engaged with the police officers, his anger simmering as he learned the details of the trespasser's actions. His insistence on swift justice was clear, emphasizing that whoever had harmed you should be held accountable.
Once the room cleared and additional security measures were put in place, Seungcheol finally had the chance to sit with you. As you handed him the file of the Department Store Ownership Transfer, a heavy silence filled the room. The shared understanding between you two spoke volumes, acknowledging the depth of the betrayal that had unfolded.
In that moment, the room held the weight of unspoken emotions, and Seungcheol's gaze lingered on you.
The room hung heavy with the weight of revelation as you confronted Seungcheol. The truth, once hidden in the shadows, now stood exposed, unraveling the carefully woven fabric of your marriage.
"He wants Seri Department Store," you mumbled, your arms crossed, standing defiantly before Seungcheol. Frustration radiated from you as you ran your hand through your hair, grappling with the gravity of the situation that had unfolded.
"My life," you paused, "was worth of that store!"
Seungcheol shook his head, attempting to deny the painful reality. "Baby, no..."
"Don't call me that! You had the same intention!" The words burst out from you, a sharp accusation that hung in the air. It was a yell, a rupture in the calm facade of your marriage.
"You've been lying to me..." your voice faded, replaced by hot tears streaming down your cheeks. The vulnerability you revealed was a stark contrast to the stoic persona you had been trained to adopt.
Seungcheol's throat went dry, words catching in the tangled web of emotions. He took a deep breath, his heart breaking as he witnessed you, the strong and composed figure, breaking down in front of him. Wiping your own tears away, you showed a side that was rarely seen by anyone.
In that moment, Seungcheol loathed himself for causing the tears and hated that he couldn't be the one to comfort you. "I never lied to you," he finally uttered, but the truth seemed feeble against the magnitude of the situation.
You threw a letter at him, a tangible representation of the deceit that had taken root. "Then what is it? You're trying to fool me by marrying me. You're into my property, Seungcheol."
Seungcheol's voice matched your intensity, "Yes, I was! But I've been delaying..." His tone softened, desperation lacing his words. "Because I fell for you, for real. And I've been trying to stop my uncle for the revenge."
The room echoed with Seungcheol's explanation, his vulnerability laid bare. This was a side of him you had never seen before, and in this moment, as he bared his soul, the fragile bridge between betrayal and redemption trembled in the air.
In that vulnerable moment, Seungcheol shed the facade of superiority and power that he often wore. Tonight, he laid bare his emotions, doing everything in his power to make you believe in the sincerity of his love for you.
"I'm aiming for a hotel abroad and offered him the condition that we won't involve anyone from Lee Family, from your family, including you. He agreed. But little did I know he had sent someone to hurt you." Seungcheol approached you, gently rubbing your arms before his hand traced the tender area on your neck.
"They hurt you," he declared with fiery intensity in his eyes. Seungcheol sighed, his chest filled with anger, and he closed his eyes, seeking solace in looking at your face. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry for everything."
Your hand caressed his cheek, and your lips met in a kiss that started calm and slowly transformed into something more passionate and charged with desire. As the kiss broke, leaving both of you gasping for air, his eyes opened, fixated on you.
"Promise me, this won't happen again," you whispered, and he immediately nodded. His lips sought yours again, but you playfully dodged, pulling your head away from him.
He looked at you with longing, whispering, "Baby..."
You licked your lips, making a demand, "Say that you love me."
"I love you," he replied without hesitation.
"Say that I'm more than that store." Your hands roamed to his stomach, then gradually went down to his hardness. Seungcheol groaned under your touch, "You're more than that, baby. You're worth the world," he whispered into your ear. His hands explored the warmth of your skin under your blouse, his member pressing against you.
"Can I take this off?" he asked, pulling the hem of your blouse. You nodded, and soon both of you stood there, stripped of the barriers that concealed your vulnerability.
He kissed your lips again, guiding your hands to his shoulders. "I love you, I love you so much." The words hung in the air, reaffirming the bond that transcended the complexities of the world outside.
*
Myungho entered your room, holding the file that contained detailed information about Choi Junggan, your husband's influential uncle who seemed to have a significant impact on Seungcheol's life since the passing of his parents.
"How about the guy who attacked me last night?" you inquired, your focus shifting from the file to Myungho. As you scanned Junggan's list of properties and business history, you nodded in acknowledgment, recognizing the extent of Junggan's influence on Seungcheol's business trajectory.
"Cops captured him. He hasn't said anything about the person who hired him. But it's definitely Choi Junggan. He's the only one who's into your property," Myungho revealed, shedding light on the tangled web of motives and alliances.
Seungcheol's revelation from the previous night suddenly made a lot more sense. While delving into the file Myungho had handed you, a realization struck you—the depth of Junggan's control over Seungcheol's life since the tragic loss of his parents when he was just a high schooler.
Understanding that Seungcheol, as the sole heir to his parents, had been manipulated by Junggan to make your family pay for something you were yet to uncover, you recognized that the only way to unveil the truth was by confronting the man himself. The file in your hands became a key to unraveling the intricate layers of a past that had been concealed for far too long.
"Could you do me a favor, Secretary Seo?" you inquired, and Myungho nodded politely, ready to assist. "What is it, Mrs. Choi?" he asked.
"Are you personally close to Kim Mingyu?" you questioned, prompting a quizzical expression from Myungho. He responded, "I guess, we regularly meet at the pub blocks away from your house."
A smile played on your lips as you outlined your request, "I need you to find out about the properties my husband has been eyeing recently, possibly around Hong Kong and Singapore. I need all the details."
Myungho, respecting your privacy, sought clarification, "May I know what this is for, ma'am?"
"I want to buy them first, before my husband could," you calmly stated, leaning back in your seat. Myungho noted the determination in your eyes and quickly understood that Choi Seungcheol had underestimated the strength he was up against.
After few hours, a familiar figure approached your office. Seungcheol, clearly agitated, entered the room after signaling Mingyu and Myungho to stay outside. Your eyes met, and you became aware that your husband, Choi Seungcheol, had an undeniable issue with anger. He took control of the switchable glass, making the room opaque, a move that intensified his presence. He looks so hot like this.
"I thought I made it clear this morning that you shouldn't be at work after what happened last night?" Seungcheol voiced his concern, frustration evident in his demeanor.
You nonchalantly replied, "I was safer here than in your house, Seungcheol," rising from your seat and approaching him.
Seungcheol sighed, massaging his temples, "Baby, please don't do anything."
Your hands gestured in confusion, "I don't do anything," you replied with a shrug.
Concerned about the dangers posed by his uncle, Seungcheol attempted to explain, "My uncle, he could be pretty dangerous."
Understanding his apprehension, you nodded, "He is. Great to hear that you and I are seeing him from the same boat."
Seungcheol stepped forward, gently grabbing your hand and placing it on his cheek. Closing his eyes, he savored the softness of your touch before pecking your hand. As he opened his eyes, a soft smile adorned his face.
"Trust me, please," he earnestly begged, "Trust me, baby. I'll take care of him."
You bit your lip, confessing, "I want to help you."
Seungcheol shook his head, "I don't want you to get hurt. You were almost... killed last night. I won't ever let that happen again."
You nodded, whispering, "I know," and offering him a reassuring smile.
Attempting to steer the conversation back to a professional tone, you asked, "What are you doing here, by the way?"
Seungcheol, catching the shift, followed suit, "I have a meeting scheduled with Mr. Lee. Surprised to learn that it wasn't you leading the meeting with investors."
Concerned for your well-being, he inquired, "Are you okay?"
You assured him with a nod and a quick response, "I'm totally fine. I have a business trip to attend; I'll be home pretty late tonight."
Seungcheol nodded in understanding, seeking more details, "Where to?"
With a calm smile, you disclosed, "Singapore."
*
"Okay, you got my attention now..." Junggan's voice resonated from the phone speaker as Myungho handed you his phone, subtly mouthing, "Choi Junggan."
You chuckled upon hearing his first words, "Great to know that. You started it first by sending a poor man into my house," you replied, gazing out the window at the nighttime view of Incheon as the plane descended.
Junggan's laughter echoed through the call, "What a feisty girl! Yeah, Seungcheol has captured him, hasn't he? He was honest when he said he loves you."
A smile touched your lips, "Why? Is it hurting you? That your 'one and only doll' finally betrayed you? He's not a doll, Choi Junggan. He's your nephew."
Junggan scoffed, getting straight to the point, "What do you want?"
"Stop controlling my husband, and I'll give you the hotel," you proposed, offering a straightforward agreement.
You could hear the old man laughing, "You really bought a hotel just for my nephew?"
You sighed, "He's not just your nephew; he's my husband."
A sly smile crept into Junggan's voice, "But his worth is more than a hotel, isn't he?"
You couldn't help but chuckle at his audacity. Even in this situation, with you acquiring properties he had his eyes on in Singapore, Junggan remained arrogantly composed. The negotiation had just begun, and it seemed like dealing with him would be a game of wit and strategy.
"A hotel and 3% of your department store shares?" Junggan negotiated in a sly tone.
"Here's the thing, Mr. Choi," you paused, "I actually want to give you the department store. I thought about that, honestly." You could sense his excitement at the prospect. "However, I don't think my late mother-in-law would be happy if I give her precious building to someone who has been very deceitful and manipulative toward her son, Mr. Choi," you continued, and your words resulted in a moment of silence.
A confident smile played on your lips; you knew you had him.
There was a pregnant pause before he asked, "How do you know?" in a tone that betrayed his vulnerable point—Seungcheol's mother, a person Junggan held very dearly in his heart.
"I have my sources," you said, "just like you have Eunji as your source."
Before the phone call could reach its conclusion, Myungho subtly indicated that it was time to go, as Seungcheol and your grandfather were eagerly awaiting you for a late dinner.
"You need to decide, Mr. Choi. Time is ticking," you said before decisively ending the call. The negotiation had just begun, and you felt a sense of satisfaction at holding the upper hand.
The starry night welcomed your landing at the international airport, and you were ready to disembark when Myungho suddenly announced that he had left an important file on his seat. He urged you to go ahead since your car was already waiting outside. Unusual for Myungho, who typically had other business to attend to, you signaled your new driver to head home immediately.
As you traversed the city streets, a notification alerted you to a text from Myungho. With a sigh, you muttered, "He won't ever let me rest," before opening the message. A shiver ran down your spine as Myungho requested that you inform Seokmin, one of Seungcheol's drivers, that Myungho would be waiting for him in his office since he couldn't reach him personally.
You put your phone down, inhaling a heavy sigh silently. Seokmin was assigned to drive you home, but whoever was behind the wheel of this car was certainly not Seokmin. You refrained from looking at him, sensing that he had been eyeing you through the rearview mirror. In response, you swiftly sent Myungho your location with a concise message:
"Send me help."
*
Seungcheol's heart raced as Mingyu delivered the alarming news of your kidnapping on the way home from the airport. His mind immediately pointed fingers at his own uncle, considering the recent threatening call and the ominous words echoing in his ears: "Betray me again, I'll let you know the consequence."
He had been cautious, attempting to shield you from the dangerous business involving Choi Junggan. However, your determination to help him and seek revenge had taken an unexpected turn. When Mingyu, panic-stricken, revealed that you had purchased the property intended for Seungcheol's uncle, the pieces fell into place. You aimed to confront Junggan directly.
Seungcheol had just spoken with his uncle an hour ago, and now the shocking news of your kidnapping left him reeling. It appeared Junggan had anticipated Seungcheol's plan, orchestrating a betrayal that ran deeper than Seungcheol initially thought. The threat wasn't just about revenge; it was a move calculated to protect his money laundering activities.
During Seungcheol's time as Junggan's assistant, he had diligently documented evidence of his uncle's illicit activities. Those notes and additional proof could be the leverage needed to finally put Junggan behind bars. As a mix of fear and determination surged through Seungcheol, he knew he had to act swiftly to save you and dismantle the dangerous web his uncle had woven.
As Seungcheol continued to make urgent calls to his lawyer, Mingyu updated him on the situation. The news of Seokmin found unconscious at the airport heightened the tension. Mingyu, sitting in the driver's seat, couldn't hide his frustration as he chuckled angrily. Your location, frozen for the past 10 minutes, signaled that the kidnappers might have discarded your phone.
"Myungho has informed the police to track your wife's location. They must have thrown her phone," Mingyu reported, the concern for your safety evident in his voice.
Seungcheol sighed, realizing the urgency of the situation. In a moment of clarity, he remembered placing a GPS on your wedding ring, a precaution due to your tendency not to update him about your whereabouts. Swiftly, he shared your latest location with Mingyu, who promptly relayed the information to Myungho and the authorities. The race against time had begun, and Seungcheol couldn't shake off the fear that gripped his heart, praying that they would reach you in time.
"Sir.."
Seungcheol's heartbeat quickened as Mingyu's revelation about Myungho having something important to share reached his ears. The car's atmosphere shifted into an air of tension, each passing second increasing Seungcheol's anxiety. Mingyu, with a look of concern on his face, executed the announcement with a gravity that made Seungcheol's gut twist.
As the speaker crackled to life, Myungho's voice trembled slightly, an unusual undertone of nervousness underscoring his usually composed demeanor. Seungcheol's instincts sharpened, sensing that whatever news was about to be delivered carried weight.
"Sir, I'm sorry for not telling you this before," Myungho began, the apologetic tone heightening the tension in the car. A heavy sigh punctuated the pause before he revealed the bombshell, "But your wife..."
The moment hung in the air, pregnant with unspoken implications. Seungcheol's mind raced, contemplating what revelation could follow, unaware that the news about to unfold would reshape the stakes of the impending rescue mission.
"She's pregnant."
Seungcheol's heart skipped a beat as the revelation about your pregnancy echoed through the speaker in the car. The gravity of the situation suddenly multiplied, intertwining the fear for your safety with the concern for the life growing inside you. The realization struck him like a lightning bolt, and for a moment, he felt a mix of emotions—fear, panic, and an overwhelming sense of responsibility.
Mingyu, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, glanced at Seungcheol with worry etched on his face. Seungcheol took a deep breath, trying to steady his racing thoughts.
"Myungho, I... Thank you for letting me know," Seungcheol finally responded, his voice carrying a mixture of shock and concern. The news added an extra layer of urgency to the already critical situation. The thought of you, pregnant and in danger, fueled his determination to bring you back safely.
"Let's focus on getting her safely," Seungcheol instructed, his tone more resolute. The drive to rescue you became not only a mission to save his wife but also an imperative to protect the life growing within you.
Opposite to the confidence in his words, Seungcheol's hands tightened on his phone. A sharp pang of guilt surging through him like a current. The revelation of your pregnancy, a joyous occasion under different circumstances, now bore the weight of his past actions. Learning that you hadn't shared this significant news with him triggered an ache in his chest, a feeling of betrayal intertwined with remorse.
As he absorbed the reality of your pregnancy, Seungcheol couldn't escape the haunting guilt that you might perceive his lack of knowledge as a testament to your distrust. He couldn't shake the notion that your choice to keep this life-altering secret from him was a consequence of the distrust seeded by his initial motives for marrying you. The revelation of his original intentions – driven by revenge against your family – added a layer of complexity to his guilt, a realization that his past deeds were casting a long shadow over your relationship.
The darkness of the night seemed to mirror the turmoil within Seungcheol's mind. He wanted to protect you, cherish you, and share in the joy of impending parenthood, but the ghosts of his actions stood as barriers between them. The weight of guilt pressed on him, magnified by the realization that your silence might be a form of self-preservation.
In the confined space of the car, the echo of Myungho's revelation resonated with Seungcheol's internal struggle. Your trust, or lack thereof, became a tangible force, a barrier he needed to dismantle. As he raced against time to rescue you, Seungcheol grappled with the urgency to bridge the emotional distance that had unwittingly grown between you. He yearned not just to save you physically but to rebuild the trust that now seemed more fragile than ever.
The phone rang, and Seungcheol's heart skipped a beat as he saw the caller ID – his uncle. Answering with a trembling hand, he braced himself for the chilling exchange that awaited him.
His uncle's voice, dripping with malevolence, cut through the silence of the car. "Seungcheol, my boy, I see you're on your way to retrieve your dear wife."
Seungcheol's grip on the phone tightened, his knuckles turning white. "Let her go, uncle. This ends tonight."
A sinister chuckle resonated through the line. "Oh, but my dear nephew, it's just the beginning. You see, you've been quite the disappointment, trying to dismantle my plans."
The image of you, bound and unconscious, flashed on Seungcheol's phone screen, and his breath caught in his throat. His uncle's voice continued, each word a venomous threat. "I've sent you a little preview of what's to come. A taste of the pain she'll endure unless you comply with my demands."
Seungcheol's jaw clenched, a mixture of fear and rage fueling his determination. "Enough of this, Junggan. I won't let you harm her any further. Tell me what you want."
His uncle reveled in the power he held. "Simple, my boy. You come alone, or she pays the price. I've arranged a charming little place for our reunion. You have twenty minutes, Seungcheol."
The connection severed, leaving Seungcheol with a chilling ultimatum. The car accelerated, racing against time, each passing second amplifying the desperation in his heart. The road blurred beneath the car's tires, mirroring the whirlwind of emotions raging within him.
In the dimly lit room where you were held captive, your unconscious form became a pawn in this deadly game. The timer ticked down, a countdown to a confrontation that would determine not only your fate but the unraveling of a family's twisted legacy.
Seungcheol arrived at the designated location, the eerie silence of the abandoned building sending a shiver down his spine. He motioned for everyone to stay back, keeping a solemn promise to Junggan, who had threatened unspeakable harm if he defied the rules. Mingyu stood by his side, holding back your team and Myungho as Seungcheol ventured into the decaying structure by himself.
The building exhaled a musty breath, its walls stained with the remnants of a dark past. Shadows danced ominously in the corners, and the creaking floorboards echoed through the desolate halls. The air hung heavy with tension, a palpable reminder of the impending confrontation.
As hedelved deeper into the labyrinthine structure, the distant sound of a knife being sharpened reached Seungcheol's ears. Each scrape against the blade reverberated through the corridors, amplifying the sinister ambiance of the place. The echoes seemed to mock him, a haunting reminder of the imminent danger that lurked in the shadows.
Your captor's sadistic preparation was evident, the chilling sounds intertwining with the apprehensive silence, painting a grim picture of the confrontation ahead. Seungcheol tightened his grip on the makeshift weapon he had grabbed on his way in, steeling himself for the horrors that awaited him within the dimly lit recesses of the old building.
In the eerie ambiance of the dilapidated building, Seungcheol cautiously followed the echoes of his uncle's cold welcome, each step a tense reminder of the impending confrontation. The air was heavy with anticipation as he approached the dimly lit room, the shadows casting an ominous backdrop to the unfolding drama.
As Seungcheol entered, the scene before him unveiled a tableau of despair. There you were, seated vulnerably on a worn-out chair, your eyes reflecting a mix of fear and relief at the sight of him. A masked figure, an ominous silhouette in the dim light, stood menacingly beside you, wielding a gleaming knife at your neck—a silent threat that echoed through the room.
Junggan, concealed in shadows, initiated the negotiation, his demands echoing with a sinister undertone. The metallic edge of the blade against your skin served as a cruel incentive for Seungcheol to heed his uncle's commands. A choice lingered in the air—sacrifice his empire or risk harm befalling you.
Seungcheol, a whirlwind of conflicting emotions, dared to question his uncle's malevolence. "Why, Uncle? What satisfaction do you derive from causing such pain? Is revenge worth the torment you're inflicting?"
In response, Junggan unraveled a tapestry of resentment and bitterness. He confessed that his hatred stemmed from the belief that Seungcheol wasn't his son but the offspring of the brother who had allegedly stripped him of everything.
Seungcheol, eyes ablaze with a mixture of anger and desperation, couldn't fathom the depth of his uncle's resentment. "Is this the only way you see to settle your grievances, Uncle? To use me, to hurt her? What did she ever do to you?"
Junggan, his voice dripping with venom, responded with a sinister chuckle. "You've always been the pawn, Seungcheol. A pawn in my game for justice. Your existence is a constant reminder of what was taken from me."
As the masked figure tightened their grip on the knife, you winced, and Seungcheol's resolve solidified. "If it's revenge you seek, hurt me, not her. She has nothing to do with your vendetta."
A wicked smile played on Junggan's lips. "But that's where you're wrong, Seungcheol. She's entwined in this web of revenge just by being a part of your life. The Lee family took everything from me, and now, through you, I'll take everything from them."
Seungcheol's fists clenched, grappling with the reality of his uncle's malevolence. "There has to be another way, Uncle. We can find a resolution without resorting to this brutality. I'm willing to face consequences, but spare her from this."
Junggan, unmoved by Seungcheol's plea, continued to press his demands. "Relinquish your shares and your position, or her suffering will be just the beginning. Your family will pay for the pain they've inflicted on mine."
In the tense exchange, Seungcheol's mind raced, searching for a solution that would save you from the impending danger. The cold metallic resonance of a sharpening knife underscored the urgency of his decision, knowing that every passing moment brought you closer to the brink of harm.
The reminiscence of past grievances escaped from Junggan's mouth—the CEO status taken by Seungcheol's father, the love of his life, Seungcheol's mother, passed away after an accident made by Lee Family after a debt they couldn't afford. Betrayed by the nephew he saw as a means to reclaim what he believed was rightfully his, Junggan revealed that Seungcheol's actions had thwarted his grand plan for vengeance, fueling a burning desire to settle the score against a family he deemed responsible for his life's misfortunes. Desperate to thwart the unfolding tragedy that hung heavily in the air, his voice quivered with a potent mix of fear, anger, and an enduring undercurrent of love that defied the years of familial discord.
Seungcheol's plea cut through the tense silence, the gravity of the situation reflected in the beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
"Uncle, you can't let this happen. There has to be another way. I won't let you harm her," Seungcheol implored, his eyes betraying a deep-seated concern for you, the woman he loved.
Junggan, shrouded in malevolence, reveled in the chaos he had orchestrated. His response dripped with vindictiveness.
"Seungcheol, you were always naive. You're a mother's son indeed, but you've betrayed your bloodline by siding with the Lees. Her family took everything from me!" Junggan's voice echoed through the desolate space, carrying the weight of years of perceived injustice.
Seungcheol, clinging to a glimmer of hope, pleaded for reason.
"I can't change the past, but causing harm won't right those wrongs. This cycle needs to end," he urged, his gaze unwavering despite the ominous figure holding a knife to your neck.
Junggan, driven by a festering bitterness, pressed on with his ultimatum.
"Your father and your in-laws stripped me of everything. Now, you'll pay the price unless you give up your shares and the CEO position," Junggan declared, the shadows accentuating the grim determination etched on his face.
Seungcheol, sensing an opening, sought common ground in an attempt to alter the course of events.
"I know you loved my mother. Is this what she would want? Revenge? Darkness?" he questioned, hoping to kindle a spark of humanity in his uncle's hardened heart.
A moment of hesitation flickered in Junggan's eyes, caught between the allure of vengeance and the echoes of a love that once defined him.
Seungcheol seized the moment, his voice resolute as he proposed an alternative.
"Let's find a way out of this darkness, together."
Seungcheol, desperation etched across his face, pleaded with his uncle. "See me as my mother's son then, as someone's son you truly loved. Is this what she would have wanted for us? For me to cause harm to the ones I care about?"
Junggan's cold gaze wavered for a moment, a fleeting glimpse of humanity breaking through the hardened exterior. Seungcheol seized the opportunity, buying precious seconds, knowing you were attempting to free yourself from the restraints.
"I know you've suffered, Uncle. I can't change the past, but I refuse to perpetuate this cycle of pain. Let her go, and we can find a way to heal, to break free from this darkness."
The room hung in a tense pause, Seungcheol's words echoing as he desperately sought a crack in his uncle's resolve. As you managed to loosen the ropes around your hands, you prepared to make your move.
Unable to sway Junggan, Seungcheol saw your decisive action. In a split second, you turned the tables on the masked assailant behind you, catching them off guard. Seungcheol seized the distraction, lunging at his uncle, attempting to overpower him and put an end to the sinister plan unfolding in that dimly lit room.
The deafening sound of a gunshot pierced the air, sending shockwaves through the dimly lit room. In a twist of fate, the bullet veered off course, sparing you but hitting the masked assailant square in the chest. The mysterious figure crumpled to the ground, revealing the chaotic tableau that unfolded before you.
Seungcheol, reacting with primal instinct, unleashed a barrage of punches on his uncle, Choi Junggan, driven by a potent mix of fury and the need to protect you. The room echoed with the collision of fists against flesh, a visceral symphony of retribution.
Heart pounding, you sprinted toward the chaotic scene, brandishing the knife you had managed to acquire. Desperation fueled your every step as you aimed for Junggan, determined to end the threat he posed. But the abrupt sound of another gunshot halted your advance, freezing you in place.
A searing pain gripped Seungcheol's stomach as he staggered back, a look of disbelief in his eyes. The room seemed to warp as your husband, once a pillar of strength, struggled to maintain consciousness. Panic clawed at your throat as you rushed to his side, frantically calling his name.
Meanwhile, the room buzzed with the arrival of law enforcement, finally catching up to Choi Junggan's malevolent pursuits. He was apprehended, the weight of his crimes hanging heavy as he was led away in custody. Mingyu and Myungho, responding swiftly, joined the chaotic scene.
Fingers trembling, you cupped Seungcheol's face, desperately trying to keep him conscious. The room spun, an unwelcome dance of disorientation as you fought against panic threatening to consume you. Mingyu and Myungho, sensing the urgency, swiftly called for paramedics, their voices a cacophony in the chaotic aftermath.
Seungcheol's eyes fluttered, struggling to focus on your face. The pain etched across his features intensified your desperation. "Stay with me, Seungcheol," you pleaded, your voice cracking with a mixture of fear and determination.
Myungho ushered the paramedics into the room, and their swift, practiced movements conveyed a sense of urgency. Assessing Seungcheol's condition, they worked efficiently to stabilize him. The sterile scent of antiseptic mingled with the lingering tension in the room as they set to work.
Mingyu, his expression etched with concern, hovered nearby, a silent pillar of support. The paramedics, clad in their clinical attire, exchanged urgent words, and the rhythmic beeping of medical equipment became a lifeline, a fragile connection to hope amid the chaos.
As Seungcheol was carefully placed onto a stretcher, your hand found his, the warmth of your touch a reassurance. "You're going to be okay," you whispered, more a declaration to yourself than to him, as if willing the words to manifest into reality.
*
The next day dawned with an incessant buzz of media activity outside the hospital, a swarm of journalists hungry for details about the tumultuous events that unfolded the night before. Cameras clicked, microphones were thrust forward, and questions were fired in rapid succession, creating a chaotic backdrop to the already tense situation.
Mingyu and Myungho, the steadfast guardians in this storm, ensured you were shielded from the relentless media frenzy. Their combined efforts allowed you moments of respite, a precious chance to attend to Seungcheol's side while navigating the whirlwind of investigations and inquiries.
The hospital became a temporary sanctuary, its walls offering both refuge and scrutiny. You moved through the corridors with the weight of exhaustion and concern etched on your face. The ordeal had left a lasting impact, and the layers of shock and fear demanded a toll on your stamina.
Mingyu and Myungho orchestrated a delicate balance, managing the influx of information while insulating you from the relentless bombardment of reporters. Their dedication ensured that you could focus on being by Seungcheol's side, a quiet force in the midst of chaos.
Seungcheol remained unconscious, a silent figure in the sterile hospital room. The aftereffects of the surgery lingered in the air, and the medical equipment surrounding him hummed a somber melody of monitoring and healing. As you sat by his bedside, your gaze flitted between the rhythmic blips on the monitor and the unconscious figure before you.
In the periphery, Mingyu and Myungho dealt with legal matters, fielding inquiries, and liaising with the authorities to ensure justice prevailed. The investigation into Choi Junggan's malevolent actions continued, unveiling a tapestry of deception and betrayal.
The quiet hum of the hospital room enveloped you as you maintained a vigilant watch over Seungcheol, waiting for the moment when he would stir from his unconscious state. The sterile scent of antiseptic lingered in the air, creating an atmosphere of hushed expectancy.
Days turned into nights, and your presence by Seungcheol's side remained unwavering. The rhythmic beeping of the monitors provided a constant backdrop, a metronome marking the passage of time in the silent room. Mingyu and Myungho, the ever-dedicated allies, took turns supporting you, ensuring you had moments to rest amidst the persistent vigil.
Then, a subtle change began to unfold. The stillness in the room seemed to shift, and Seungcheol's eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the muted hospital lighting. The quiet anticipation gave way to a surge of relief as his gaze met yours.
For a moment, silence enveloped the room—a tableau where words seemed insufficient to capture the depth of emotions. You reached out, your hand finding his, and a faint smile played on Seungcheol's lips. The shared understanding transcended spoken language—a silent acknowledgment of the trials endured and the connection that persevered.
"My love," Seungcheol's voice, though weak, carried a resonance that resonated with the shared experiences of the tumultuous days. The weight of unspoken words lingered in the air—apologies, gratitude, and the silent promise of a shared path forward.
Mingyu and Myungho, attuned to the subtle shifts in the room, discreetly stepped outside, giving you the space for this intimate reunion. The hospital surroundings faded into the background as you and Seungcheol navigated the unspoken intricacies of the journey you had weathered together.
The initial frailty in Seungcheol's voice strengthened, and he began to piece together the fragments of what had transpired during his unconscious interlude. As you recounted the events, Seungcheol's expressions mirrored a spectrum of emotions—from disbelief to anguish and, ultimately, a steely resolve.
Seungcheol's concern radiated as he carefully examined you, his eyes searching for any signs of injury. Your sigh carried a blend of exasperation and affection, and a soft slap on his arm punctuated your reassurance.
"Stop worrying me! You got shot, but luckily it didn't hit anything vital," you said, your words laced with relief. Yet, as the weight of the recent events pressed down, a tear found its way down your cheek, betraying the underlying emotions.
Seungcheol, witnessing your vulnerability, regarded you with a mix of disbelief and tenderness. "Hey, I'm okay now," he gently assured, reaching out to wipe away the escaping tears. "I'm fine, just some pain in my abs. Don't cry."
As Seungcheol's fingers brushed against your cheek, attempting to alleviate your tears, a nuanced connection unfolded. Your laughter, tinged with both relief and lingering anxiety, echoed in the hospital room. Seungcheol's fingers delicately wiped away the tears that had escaped your eyes, his gaze searching yours with an intensity that transcended the spoken words.
"I thought... I thought I almost lost you," you confessed, your voice barely above a whisper. The emotions of the past days surged to the surface, and you found solace in Seungcheol's reassuring presence.
Seungcheol's thumb brushed against your cheek, capturing the stray teardrops. "You won't lose me. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere." His words carried a depth that resonated with the shared experiences, the trials that had tested the foundation of your relationship.
The intertwining of your fingers created a silent pact—an unspoken vow that traversed beyond the confines of the hospital room. The fragility of the moment, juxtaposed against the resilience you both exhibited, rendered the air charged with a profound understanding.
As the hospital surroundings faded into the background, you and Seungcheol navigated the uncharted territory of post-trauma healing. The physical wounds, while mending, paled in comparison to the emotional labyrinth that lay ahead.
Seungcheol's voice, a soothing cadence, broke the quietness. "We'll get through this, together. No more secrets, no more hidden agendas. Just us, facing whatever comes our way."
*
A week later, as Seungcheol was discharged from the hospital, you embarked on a dual mission—preparing a grand welcoming party for his return and orchestrating a surprise announcement of your pregnancy. The air was charged with anticipation, both for the joyous reunion and the revelation that would shape the next chapter of your lives.
Amidst managing company affairs and attending to Seungcheol's recovery, you meticulously planned the party, envisioning the moment when you would share the news with your closest circle. The guest list included your parents, Mingyu, and Myungho, each holding a special place in your journey.
Unbeknownst to you, Mingyu and Myungho had discreetly informed Seungcheol about the impending announcement, adding an extra layer of excitement to the occasion. They playfully briefed him on the need to feign surprise later, turning a heartfelt moment into a delightful act.
As Seungcheol made his way home, a swirl of nerves accompanied his anticipation. The idea of feigning surprise added a humorous twist to the heartfelt revelation, highlighting the camaraderie that had formed between him, Mingyu, and Myungho.
The echoes of laughter and warmth from the party venue set the stage for the surprise, with decorations and joyful chatter creating an atmosphere of celebration. You, with a radiant smile, welcomed everyone, your eyes holding the secret you were about to unveil.
Seungcheol, aware of the impending revelation, played his part with an endearing mix of anxiety and excitement. His eyes sparkled with the anticipation of a scripted surprise, concealing the joy that brewed within.
The party unfolded seamlessly, filled with genuine happiness, heartfelt congratulations, and a shared toast for the growing family. Amidst the festivities, Seungcheol's feigned surprise added a touch of playfulness, creating an unforgettable memory that blended sincerity with a lighthearted twist.
As you stood together, announcing the impending arrival of a new member to your family, the room brimmed with love and shared joy. The surprise element, a collaborative effort with Mingyu and Myungho, added a layer of laughter to the celebration, underscoring the support and unity that defined your close-knit circle.
As the echoes of laughter and celebration subsided, the warm glow of the party lingered in the air. The night wore on, and eventually, you found yourselves in the quiet intimacy of your home. The day's excitement had settled, leaving only the serene presence of you and Seungcheol, cuddling on the bed.
Seungcheol, ever the sweet and caring husband, wrapped his arms around you, creating a cocoon of comfort. The genuine happiness from the party still radiated from both of you, making the shared moments even more precious.
Hours ago, Seungcheol had brilliantly acted out the surprise of your pregnancy announcement, and now, in the quiet solitude of your bedroom, his tenderness shone through. He whispered words of love and anticipation, expressing his joy at the prospect of becoming a father. Every touch and caress conveyed the depth of his feelings, creating a cherished connection between you two.
"You know, Seungcheol," you began, your voice carrying a feigned hurt, "you didn't have to pretend to be surprised about the pregnancy. I know you already knew back in the hospital."
Seungcheol's expression shifted from affectionate to a mix of surprise and amusement. His eyes met yours, registering your playful accusation. You continued, maintaining the facade of being a little upset.
"I appreciate the effort, but I would have loved if you asked me about it in person," you teased, a mischievous glint in your eyes.
Seungcheol, realizing the playful charade, chuckled softly. "You caught me," he admitted, a sheepish smile gracing his lips. "I just wanted to go along with the surprise, make it special for you."
You let out a melodious laugh, the earlier faux-disappointment dissolving into shared amusement.
Seungcheol, still holding you close, caressed your cheek and spoke with a sincerity that touched your heart. "I just want every moment, every announcement, to be special for you, my love. Our journey together, especially with our little one on the way, means everything to me."
You smiled, your heart brimming with love for the man beside you. "And it is special, Seungcheol. More special than any surprise. I'm grateful for every moment we share."
He pressed a soft kiss on your forehead, sealing the sentiment with affection. "I love you, more than words can express."
"I love you too, Seungcheol," you whispered, cherishing the quiet closeness of the night and the promises it held for your growing family. The future, once shrouded in uncertainty, now felt full of hope and the enduring strength of your bond.
As you both drifted into a peaceful sleep, the echo of those three words lingered in the room, a sweet lullaby that embraced you in the warmth of love and the anticipation of a beautiful journey ahead.

Callum Turner x Reader // Phone Sex
A.N: Very smutty. Anonymous requested phone sex, there it is.
Plot: As Callum starts the shooting of a new feature film, he feels very horny. His girlfriend too. Phones might be the key to their problem.
Callum had just finished packing his suitcase when Posy, his pug, entered the room. As usual, the dog smelled that he would be leaving for long enough for her to miss him. She lay her pink nose on his thigh as he had kneeled on the floor to pet her. Y/N was witnessing the scene while folding the clothes that had not fit in the suitcase. She too was starting to feel the weight of the departure on her shoulders.
Y/N and Callum had been dating for four years and were engaged for three months but it still was harsh to see him leave, even after all those sets and award shows he would attend by himself, sometimes on another hemisphere. Once Posy had had her share of hugs and pats on the head, Callum turned to his girlfriend. He reached out for her, grasped her hips to bring her closer to his chest and lifted her chin as she was looking at the floor with a tear by the corner of her eye. He placed a kiss on her lips as gently as a dove landing while whispering in her ear: “You’re the love of my life. I’ll be home soon, darling!”
Though the distance between the two of them for the upcoming weeks was shorter than usual as Callum was going to Belfast and Y/N was staying in London for her own job, the couple felt terrible about it. Y/N accompanied Callum to Heathrow and watched him check-in. He waved goodbye at her behind the high wall of glass and was soon nowhere to be found.
***
“I’ve arrived sweetheart and I already miss u xx”, Callum texted as he landed at Belfast airport.
Y/N read that text over and over again, as she was preparing some Earl grey. She muffled herself in some blankets that still smelled like her lover and played some TV show on Netflix. She had no idea what the plot or the title to that show were as she was focusing mostly on her dog and phone.
Y/N had always needed some time to accommodate to Callum being away. She knew that in a few days, she would be able to socialise with her friends again and going for drinks with her colleagues after work but as for tonight, she felt no energy and fell asleep rather quickly after.
When she woke up the next day, she emerged with some notifications on her phone. Along with spams on her mailbox, she had received two texts from Callum:
// 07.23 am - Callum // Hi darling, hope you’re ok. I feel like shit, missing u like crazy
// 07.31 am - Callum // Forgot to tell u just how much I adore u
His first text was an understatement. In fact, Callum had not slept much the night before as he had kept on thinking of Y/N for most of the night. He missed her habit of making up (terrible) jokes in all situations, her Earl grey which was like a drug to him, and also the intimacy the two were sharing.
Usually, Callum was dealing well with the lack of sex his job could come with. Usually, he was fine with onanism and some sexting with his girlfriend. But ever since the two of them had gotten engaged, and for a reason he ignored, the sex had become amazing. It was incredible before the engagement but now it was out of this world. And they had not been separated ever since the engagement party.
Needless to say, Callum was getting very much horny just thinking about her girlfriend being naked or touching his chest. By 2 pm, he took a break to go get a lunch and enjoyed that time to text Y/N.
// 02.08 pm - Callum // I miss you and your body
When Y/N read that, she was relieved that she was not the only thinking that as she had this thought and this thought only on her mind. She caught herself daydreaming of making love to Callum during a meeting in the morning and she could not help but to imagine what it would be like to have him. The two of them had had sex before going to the airport, so only a few hours prior but it was difficult not to imagine something else.
// 02.54 pm - Y/N // I wish I could be yours too
// 04.11 pm - Callum // How about I call you tonight to get it settled?
Callum had never imagined suggesting something as crude as that. They had never thought of having phone sex but desperate situations call for drastic remedies, he thought.
// 04.48 pm - Y/N // I dare you!
Y/N could not quite believe what she had just read as Callum was not the resourceful when it came to sex. His education had made him rather shy to talk about the subject, even more so to initiate it. But Y/N was willing to give it a try.
// 05.02 pm - Callum // Is 10 tonight fine by you?
// 05.07 pm - Y/N // Yes! Can’t wait!
Y/N was feeling a sexual tension growing as she was imagining the call and she was glad she could clock out from her dayshift and go back home to make herself comfortable. As soon as she arrived, she rushed to her closet to pick fancy underwear. She knew exactly which ones were driving Callum absolutely crazy and gazed in the mirror at the beauty she had in front of her. Red truly was her colour, she thought.
After running some errands and making her some food, she felt as though she could start the session on her own and started moving her hands below her trousers but then she received a call from Callum.
// 09.56 pm - Call entering: Callum //
“Hi darling, I’ve waited so long for this…”
“Hey Cal, getting horny much?”
“You have no idea. It was tough concentrating on my script with you on my mind”
Y/N lay in their bed, her eyes facing the ceiling and one hand on her chest, actively searching for her breasts. By doing that, she got the camera rolling and asked for FaceTime to get started.
“Ooh, I see you put on that naughty bodysuit I got you, huh? You know it drives me insane to see you wearing it”
“Take a wild guess as to why I put it on then”
“Good, I see you’re as excited as I am”
“You have no idea what went through my mind all afternoon. All the indecent stuff I was thinking of that got me blushing”
“Hmmm”, Callum slightly moaned through the phone.
“What would you do to me if you were in London right now?”, Y/N asked as candidly as possible while she ran her other hand on her thigh.
“I would bite your lips with my teeth and then I would lick your tits, making them as red as your gown”
“Would you allow me to touch your chest back?”
“Oh darling, I would allow you to do everything”
“Touch your chest then”, Y/N ordered.
“We’ve got the right to order stuff now? If so, play with your tits. Show me how red they’re getting”
Y/N obliged as Callum slid his hands under his shirt.
“Take your shirt off. I want to see it too”
“Commanding, much?”
“I thought I had the right to ask you anything”
“Hmm, sure. Anything for you”
“Touch your thighs with your other hand so we’re equal”
“You’ve been touching yourself, haven’t you, huh? Couldn’t wait for me”
“Didn’t make myself come though. I can’t wait for you to do that to me”, Y/N replied.
“That bodysuit is fine but you know what I’d love to see even more?”
“Let me guess”, Y/N said while taking off one strap of the discussed piece of clothing.
“That’s right, take it off so I can admire your gorgeous body. God! You’re fucking hot like that too”
“Get higher with your hands. Show me how hard you got, pretty boy!”
Callum took off his trousers and a bulge could be seen from his underwear.
“I would do anything to play with it right now. But for now, you’ll have to do it for me. Stroke it slowly”
“I like that bossy tone of yours. Do you want me to remove my boxers for you?”
“Huh-huh. Let me see what my cunt is missing”
Callum took off his underwear, unveiling a boner that he had had for a good amount of his day. He gently began touching the length, imitating the back and forth movement of penetrating Y/N.
Y/N could feel her loins getting wet by the second she noticed his movements and mostly when Callum got to moaning unintelligibly words that sounded like pleas. She reached for her labias and grazed the surface, with Callum’s cock as sole thing on her mind.
Callum sensed some pre-cum on his fingers as he was getting close to the edge. He asked between two moans “I want to see you getting wet for me. I want to imagine myself fucking you”
Y/N approached the phone to her thighs and showed him how her fingers were taking care of the pond between her legs.
“God, Y/N! You’re so fucking hot! I wish I could come inside you”
Y/N moaned at the suggestion. She too was wishing for that. To have her pussy circling his cock so tight that she would feel every drop dripping out of it.
“Keep playing with yourself. I’m gonna fucking come”, Callum warned as the veins of his cock were showing on screen.
Callum stroked harder and harder, feeling a near release as he grabbed a pillow near him to press something.
“Y/N, fuck!”, he moaned as his cock emptied on a towel. He gasped for air as he came back from his ejaculation.
Seeing that, Y/N wanted her share to and asked Callum to talk to her.
“When I come home, I’m gonna lick every part of you and fuck you so hard that I’ll make you moan the way you just made me come. Think of your fingers as though they were mine. Play with yourself, baby. I love that sight”, Callum could not stop talking as he felt his cock wanting a second round by just looking at Y/N touching herself.
Y/N put her fingers as instructed by Callum, playing with her pussy with a rapid pace. Though she could not comprehend most of what was happening, she sensed her breathing growing heavy. A few moans escaped her mouth before she ultimately cried out “You’re gonna make me come, Cal”
“Good. Carry on, I want to hear you moan louder”
“I’m…”, Y/N hardly found a way to express herself as she hit a spot Callum knew by heart would make her flail.
“You’re so hot when you come for me”, Callum snickered as Y/N was done with exhaling after having come.
“I’m still waiting for the live version of that. But I guess we could do it every day before you’re coming back”
“I wouldn’t mind”, Callum commented.

Make Your Move - Chapter 1
Noah Sebastian x Reader x Matt Dierkes
Fic Masterlist
A/N: Very excited to begin my first long fic! Enjoy <3 I'd love to know what you think. I have an idea of how long it will be, but maybe I’ll have more ideas as we go on.
Fic Summary: Having known Matt for a year already, he knows your talents and hires you as his assistant for Bad Omens' upcoming tour. You’ve had a crush on Matt, your friend, and now boss. However, his good friend and your celebrity crush, Noah, takes a liking to you the second you step through the door. What happens when your feelings develop? What happens when they find out? You only hope your heart doesn’t break trying to care for two others.
Content and Warnings for Ch. 1: Fluff, mention of sex toys/masturbation, all of my works are 18+ only
Word Count: 2.7k
Matt called the other day.
“Y/N, do you happen to have plans from June 3rd to July 7th?” He asked.
You remember him asking you, but at that moment you didn’t even process what he had said before responding, “Whatever you need, I’m all yours!”.
You rolled your eyes at yourself. He was cocky, overly flirtatious, and arrogant some of the time, but he had an effect on you that didn’t waver.
You wanted every moment to be around him and didn’t consider the amount of responsibility he would put on you in the upcoming months.
It’s the beginning of April and you agreed to be Matt’s assistant tour manager on Bad Omen’s summer tour. Their full tour route has already been posted online and fans could begin buying tickets by the end of the week.
Today, you have to meet with Matt and the band for the first time to discuss tour logistics. Tour production, mixing, and lighting were nothing new to you, but you'd never gone on the road before, let alone with a band you'd never met… in person, at least. You're a Bad Omens fan– big time.
Matt and you have known each other for a year having met while you were on a walk. His dog, Zeus, had got off-leash and sauntered on toward you. It was fate the way the world brought him to you. He thanked you for grabbing Zeus’ collar before noticing your Bad Omens merch.
“I like your shirt,” he nodded at your chest with a smirk.
“You're their tour manager,” you said with wide eyes.
“Among other things,” he smiled.
The man had you wrapped around his finger starting that day.
You two exchanged numbers and have been hanging out and talking ever since. It was your favorite to go on walks with him and his dogs when he was home from tour. He flirted with you and with every hand touch and compliment it made your affection for him grow. However, you knew he was a ladies' man and decided to keep your feelings secret early on.
Now, he’s your boss.
—
The walk from your car to the door of the studio felt a mile long. The beat of your heart thumped in your ears as you thought about how your first meeting would go.
Would they like you? Would you do well or make a fool of yourself? Would they notice you had a crush on Matt? Will they just think you're his puppy to play with on tour?
These thoughts made your stomach lurch and nearly convinced you to dial Matt to call in sick.
Nevertheless, you wanted to prove yourself to them, so you put on your best smile and turned the door knob.
You were immediately met with a packed room and heads turning to meet you.
“There she is!” Matt exclaims while leaning against the long mixing console. “Everyone, this is Y/N. My new assistant.”
“Hell knows you needed one,” Folio gets up from the couch on the side of the room and goes to shake your hand.
“I’m Nick,” he points to another guy in the corner in a rolly chair, “he’s Nick, too. So, it’s ok for you to call me Folio.”
Nick, Nicholas Ruffilo as you know him, gives you a smile and a small wave before returning to his laptop screen.
“That’s Jolly,” Folio points to a rugged man sitting on the rug on the floor next to the coffee table.
“Nice to meet you, Y/N,” he smiles.
“And this is Noah,” Folio walks over to Noah and pats his shoulder.
“Hey,” he waves.
How can he be even hotter in person? You thought.
Being a fan of the band already, you had already attached their names to their faces, and Noah’s was your favorite. You thought he was attractive and started to develop a bit of a celebrity crush on him when you discovered the band, but once Matt came into the picture you thought it best to ogle over someone tangible. Now, Noah is really in front of you and you hope your fan feelings won’t make things complicated.
“Nice to meet you guys. I’m such a fan,” you say, professionally.
“Oh! You’re a fan! Matt, you picked a good one,” Folio grins.
You make your way across the room toward Matt to hug him. You couldn’t help feeling eyes on you from the direction of the couch, but your conscience convinces you to ignore it.
Matt embraces you before telling you to take a seat in the rolly chair beside him.
“Alright, my friends,” he claps. “Now that we’re all here, we have a lot to do. Y/N, I sent you our to-do list, mind getting that out for me?” Matt nods toward the laptop in your tote bag.
“You’re already giving orders? It’s day zero,” Nick whines.
“Treat her like an equal, man,” Noah is lighthearted, but his face says “Don’t do this right now”.
“Guys, I’m kidding,” Matt groans and pulls out his phone. “Ok, so we need to source crew, talk to management about who else is on the bill, create video wall graphics, arrange a setlist, mix intros for each track in the setlist… plus lots and lots of other shit.”
You smile across the room to Noah and mouth, “Thank you”.
He winks at you before looking down at his notebook and beginning to take note of Matt’s list.
Matt continues, “Noah, do you want to finalize the setlist? We can work on some other stuff while you get that done.”
“Actually,” he raises his head from his notebook to make eye contact with you, “I would love to have Y/N’s opinion on what I have so far.” He faces Matt, “She’s a fan and it would be nice to have some insight from someone else who enjoys our music.”
“I like that idea,” Matt agrees.
“Yeah, that sounds fun,” you say excitedly. Time to prove yourself, you thought.
“Sweet,” Noah says. He gets up from the couch with his notebook and pen in hand. “We can go out to the patio,” he nods his head at the back door of the studio.
You grab your tote and fix your outfit before following Noah to the door that he so chivalrously holds open for you.
“After you,” he smiles. “Let’s take a seat on the bench.”
The atmosphere completely changes as you can hear birds chirping and cars driving down the nearby highway. The back patio is covered with a finished, wooden awning and it faces a small yard with deep green grass and vines that trail up the fence surrounding the studio. Being here with Noah, alone, it felt like a dream.
You take a seat next to Noah with around two feet in between you. Your heart flutters watching him flip through the pages of his notebook as his hair falls into his eyes.
“There it is,” he announces as he tucks his hair behind his ear, only for it to fall again to his temple.
Noah hands you his notebook and on the open page is a list of songs. Some of them are scratched out and then rewritten, while others have question marks next to them.
“I hope you can read my handwriting,” he says sheepishly.
“I like your handwriting,” you smile, hoping to ease him. Why was he nervous? You thought.
You read aloud,
“Artificial Suicide,
Nowhere to Go,
V.A.N,
Glass Houses,
The Grey,
Never Know,
Limits,
IDWT$,
Like a Villain,
Just Pretend,
The Death of Piece of Mind,
Concrete Jungle,
and Dethrone.”
“This is perfect,” you gush. “The fans will love this show. I know I will.”
Your praise earns you a toothy smile from him. “Are you sure there is nothing you would change? You can be critical. I can take it,” he leans in urging you to say anything.
“You–,” you blush, “you forgot to add my favorite song.”
“What’s your favorite?” He’s still so close to you, yearning to hang onto every word you say.
You reach across his lap to pull the pen out of his hand. His gaze follows your hand to his notebook. The pen is brought to the page of setlist ideas and at the very bottom, you scribble If I’m There.
Noah laughs and rubs the tops of his thighs. “Really?”
Taken aback by his reaction, “‘Yes! What do you mean, ‘really’?”
“Hey,” he smiles with his hands up, “it’s a great song. I know the fans love it…” He holds up his forefinger, “But, one, we haven’t played it live in forever.” He holds two fingers to you and laughs, “Two, you put it as the third encore after Dethrone.”
You laugh along with him. “Fine, no If I’m There for the fans I guess,” you tease. “I just was thinking about when you and Jolly did an acoustic live stream during quarantine and played it. The song means a lot to me and your voice sounds amazing in it, of course,” you admit.
Noah bites his lip and fixes a steady gaze on your eyes. “Thank you, that means a lot. Maybe you’ll share with me what it means to you sometime?”
“Sure,” you nod.
“How about, when we’re on the road and you’re feeling down,” he looks off to the yard, “you say the word and I’ll play the song for you.”
“Just for me?”
“Just for you.”
“Why?”
“I want to sing it again; the song means a lot to me, too,” he looks to you.
–
“Matt,” you call out, “am I going to be feeling down when we're on the road?”
It was now almost two months later and the first show of the summer is in two days. This morning, Matt is over at your apartment helping you pack for your first tour trip. You have to leave to meet everyone at the tour bus to pack everything up and head out by noon.
“Feeling down,” he pauses, “like, sad? Where’d you hear that?” He comes out of your restroom with your travel bottles and extra toiletries in his arms.
“It was a passing comment that Noah made when we first met. I’ve been thinking about it ever since,” you look down at your suitcase on the bed.
“I’m sure he didn't mean to freak you out. But,” he opens up your mini bag to set everything inside, “yeah, it can get lonely.”
“Aw, you get lonely?” you tease. “Then, I’m glad I’ll have my best friend on the road with me,” you smile at him.
“Yeah, me too,” he smiles back at you, “Noah and I are going to be hanging out a lot.”
“Fuck off”, you flick the brim of his hat. Letting out a sigh, you ask, “Do you think I have everything I need?”
“Lemme see…” He hunches over your suitcase and rummages through the piles of clothes. It’s a minute later that you realize that he’s probably putting his hands all over your underwear. “Y/N.”
“What?” You ask. He’s still hunched over, unwavering. “Matt, what is it?” You repeat urgently.
“What are– Why do you have these?” He turns around to you holding your palm-sized vibrator in his left hand and your pink, five-inch dildo in his right.
“Matt!” You reach forward trying to grab them, but he pulls back. “Oh, my God!”
“You can’t bring these!” He yells waving around your personal items.
“I can do whatever I want! Give them back!” Your cheeks feel red hot as you try to reach for your things being held above his head.
He looks down at you with fire in his maple eyes. “You’re going to be staying on the bus with us. When did you think you were going to use these?” He laughs, and you hate it when he’s right. Honestly, you questioned why you even bothered to pack them, too.
“None of your business, Matt,” you huff letting your arms down, defeated. “I just thought, like, what if we got hotel rooms at some point during the tour and I could blow off some steam.”
“And, you thought that you’d get a room to yourself?” Matt laughs, annoyingly. He hands you the toys and you throw them into the bag in frustration.
“I have to room with you boys the entire month?” You whine. “How am I supposed to change my clothes?”
“You’ll have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable,” he shrugs his shoulders. “I don't mind if you change in front of me,” Matt smirks.
“You would like that, huh?” You jab.
“Y/N, watching you change would be my favorite show; better than any Bad Omens set, and I’m great at my job,” he taunts.
“You’re gross,” you scoff.
“You love me,” Matt relaxes on your bed.
He’s right, you think.
–
The sun was out again outside of the studio. You reminisce about spending time with Noah on the patio two months ago, and there were only a couple of days you spent alone time with him since then. Each time, you try to brush off the sense of guilt you have when Noah looks at you with his almond eyes; Matt is still unaware of the celebrity crush you had on his friend. Even though Matt isn't yours, you still liked and knew him first and it made it feel wrong to give Noah the attention you did.
Though, there’s no time to focus on that now. Today is your first official day of being Matt’s assistant and assistant tour manager for Bad Omens.
You met everyone: crew, the other touring band, Bad Omens, and Matt outside of the studio where the tour trailers and buses were parked. With your suitcase by your side, you kept track of everything on your iPad. You instructed where everyone was meant to be by the first show day and took inventory of all gear kept in the trailers.
And then after forty-five minutes of organization, everyone was ready to load onto the buses.
“Alright,” Matt calls out, “crew and our other band, you'll be in the first bus. My guys and Y/N, we’ll be in the second. Decide on your sleeping arrangements. Let’s go.”
“You ready?” Folio comes to your side.
“Yeah, I’m excited,” you answer.
With that, you load onto the second bus, and you’re astonished at the sight before you.
The bus is long. There’s a kitchenette with cabinets as you enter and a TV hanging above the entrance of the bus. After the kitchenette, the bus is lined with smooth, black leather couches and one small table for dining. There's a sliding door that separates the bunks from the rest of the bus; six beds total, two sides of the bus set with three bunks on top of each other. After the bunks, there is another sliding door that can block off a room with a leather couch that lines the walls of the bus. The back is decorated with pillows and twinkly lights from which you can see.
“Y/N, take your pick of bunk. I’ll sleep near wherever you choose.” Matt suggests.
You choose the second bunk on the right side of the bus. Matt chooses to sleep above you and Folio follows suit below you. As everyone is settling in, Noah trails in last.
He’s left with the second bunk on the left side of the bus, right across from you.
“Hey, neighbor,” he smiles as he puts his backpack in his bunk.
“Noah,” you blush while unpacking your blanket, pillow, and plushies onto the bed.
Matt finishes unpacking his sleeping gear and leans against the wall to address all of you, “Now that we’re back, I just need to remind everyone about the rules of the bus.”
Nick groans from his bunk near the floor.
“Well, actually, y'all know there’s only one rule,” Matt maintains eye contact with you. “No pleasuring oneself or another on the bus.”
Oh, my God, you think.
"I hate you", you silently mouth to Matt.
Beside you, Noah chuckles and crosses his arms. Turning to look at him, his cheeks are pink.
Did Matt fucking tell him something? You thought.
Matt raises his eyebrows at you. “Driver! Let’s roll.”

HELLAVATOR ✶ park sunghoon x fem reader 0.9k warnings, kissing rejection fluff angst if you squint ﹕ series masterlist
decelis installed a new elevator! no more running up fifteen floors to get to your class, though whoever installed this elevator must've been a flake - asking out your crush of 7 months, you get rejected and immediately after you find yourself stuck in a broken elevator with him
9/3/23 Journal Entry
I need to do this today. Yes, today. No other day works.
This might seem as a schoolgirl summoning her courage on an ordinary Friday to confess her feelings. However, anyone holding this view would be utterly mistaken. If there were a law against being cowardly as hell, you can bet I'd be the first one locked up.
Every week I resolve that on Friday, I will confess, only to back out at the last minute, reassuring myself with the excuse 'I'll definitely do it next week.' So I anxiously await every Friday, week after week. But this time is different. Waiting any longer is not an option; I must face rejection to move forward.
It's Park Sunghoon who's causing this. I once regarded him as your typical popular guy, constantly surrounded by friends and always looking good no matter what. But now I know he's more. I tutor him every Friday, and that's when I started liking him. Not Park Sunghoon, the popular pretty-faced boy, but Sunghoon—the boy who struggles with basic math, but tries his best just so I can leave early. Sunghoon, who has a habit of accidentally buying an extra strawberry milk and hesitantly hands it to me. Sunghoon, who prefers chocolate milk over strawberry. He’s not as slick as he thinks.
Nonetheless I have to do this today, so whoever’s stalking my journal, pray for me please!
𓂃
The clock ticked closer to the appointed time for their session. As the minutes passed, anticipation and nervousness swirled within her. She gathered her belongings, her heart pounding with fear. This was the day she had been both dreading and longing for.
Meanwhile, in another part of the school, Sunghoon's thoughts were preoccupied with his upcoming tutoring. He picked up his bag, contemplating the strawberry milk he had bought this morning. The action had become a small tradition between them—something he did half on purpose, half out of habit. He wondered if she would notice his deliberate mistake this time, or if their dynamic would continue as it had been.
As the final bell rang, signaling the end of classes for the day, her heart skipped a beat. With a deep breath, she headed towards their meeting spot - in front of the newly installed elevator. It’s good they finally installed it, running up flights of stairs was never ideal for any of the students. Sunghoon was already there, waiting. His eyes met hers, and a warm smile tugged at the corners of his lips. This was the moment.
Their gazes locked, and she felt butterflies swirling within her. The elevator doors stood slightly open, as if inviting them to step inside and share a moment that could change the course of their relationship.
With a gentle push of her bag against her thigh, she moved forward, approaching Sunghoon. "Hey," she greeted, voice a touch softer than usual.
"Hey," he replied, a shy smile playing on his lips. "Ready for another Friday of challenging math problems?"
She chuckled, a nervous edge to her laughter. "Always up for the challenge." Her eyes flickered towards the elevator doors, the metaphor not lost on either of them.
He caught her glance, and shyness tinted their expressions a delicate shade of pink.
“Okay, I know this is really sudden," she blurted out, her words rushing as if to match the racing beat of her heart. "But I really, really like you, and I have for like, a really long time now. I’ve been meaning to tell you, but I just couldn’t, and I don’t know, but maybe we can go out together? Like a date? But that’s only if you really want to, and—“
“Stop!” he exclaimed, his voice surprisingly loud in the confined space of the elevator.
His sudden outburst caught her off guard, and she fell silent, her heart pounding even faster now, if that were possible. Sunghoon's face had turned a shade of red that rivaled hers, and his gaze was fixed on the ground. His fingers fidgeted with the edge of his shirt, a clear sign of his unease.
"I'm sorry," he began, his words coming out in a rush, "I didn't mean to interrupt you like that. It's just I didn't expect this, and I'm really flattered— I just need a moment to gather my thoughts."
Her heart sank, embarrassment and disappointment washing over her. Had she been too forward? Was he not interested after all? The silence that hung between them in the elevator felt almost suffocating.
"It's fine, really. Let's cancel our tutoring today."
"Wait, but that's not what I meant—"
Arriving at floor 3, the elevator announced.
"I should go," she said, her voice a blend of awkwardness and a desire to escape. She felt an overwhelming urge to run, to hide beneath layers of pillows and blankets, and erase the memory of this moment. To pretend that Park Sunghoon had never even existed.
The elevator didn't open.
As she uttered those words and expected the door to open, it remained stubbornly shut. A brief flicker of confusion crossed her face, her eyebrows furrowing as she pressed the button for the door to open manually.
"Is something wrong?" Sunghoon's voice came from behind her, concern lacing his tone.
She turned to face him, the reality of the situation settling in. "I think the elevator's stuck?"
Sunghoon's eyes widened, and he moved closer to her side, pressing the door open button alongside her. The soft chime of the button echoed through the confined space, but the doors remained firmly closed.
"Seriously?" he muttered, a hint of frustration creeping into his voice.
She felt a nervous laugh bubble up. "It seems so."
The two of them exchanged a look, a mixture of disbelief and amusement in their eyes. The irony of the situation wasn't lost on them — a confession, followed by what seems to be a rejection, and now they were stuck in together.
Sunghoon sighed, pressing the help button and leaning against the wall, his gaze shifting to her.
She moved to lean against the wall opposite him, her cheeks burning with the full weight of embarrassment that the situation had brought. The intensity of the moment had made her feel exposed, fixing her gaze firmly on the floor to escape it.
“Hey,” he started, his voice soft and soothing, though she didn't immediately respond.
Walking a few steps up to her, Sunghoon gently placed his fingers under her chin, coaxing her to look up at him. The touch of his warm fingers against her skin sent a swarm of butterflies dancing through her body – cursing her heart for betraying her so blatantly.
“I bought your favorite,” he said, his voice carrying playfulness and sincerity. He held up the carton of milk, a small gesture that carried immense weight in the moment. “Will you let me finish talking now?”
Her gaze flickered between his eyes and the strawberry milk he was offering, her heart thudding in her chest. She took the carton from him, her fingers brushing against his for a brief, electrifying moment. "Thank you," she mumbled, feeling a mixture of emotions that she struggled to put into words.
Sunghoon leaned against the wall next to her again, the closeness between them feeling both comforting and nerve-wracking. "I wanted to say something earlier," he began, his eyes fixed on her, "before the elevator interrupted us."
She nodded, her heart pounding so loudly she feared he could hear it.
He took a deep breath, his gaze unwavering. "I like you too, yn. I didn't expect this, but I've liked you for a while now. And I'd really like to go on that date with you."
Suddenly, her body felt light as air, as if all the worries had been carried away by a gentle breeze. Her cheeks were still pink, but this time it wasn't from embarrassment. Her heart fluttered, and a genuine smile bloomed on her face.
Lost in the intoxicating moment, she took a few tentative steps closer to him. Her heart raced as her arms found their way around his neck, pulling him gently closer. With a soft, affectionate smile, she pressed her lips against his, igniting a fire within them both. His laughter was a delightful melody, his broad grin revealing his genuine happiness, as he drew her into his arms. Their lips met once more, not just in a kiss, but in a melding of desires and emotions. The world around them seemed to fade as their mouths moved in a rhythm fueled by the intensity of their feelings. Every touch was an exploration, every sigh a confession. In that passionate kiss, they spoke the unspoken, conveying all the longing, affection, and yearning that had been built between them.
As their kiss deepened, they were oblivious to their surroundings, lost in the world they were creating within that confined space. The elevator doors had silently slid open, revealing the hallway beyond. There Sunghoon's friends stood, amused expressions plastered their faces.
"He's cheating on me!" Jake shouted dramatically, his voice echoing through the corridor.
Sunghoon pulled away from the kiss to roll his eyes, still holding her in his embrace. "You're ridiculous."
Reaching over to close the elevator doors once again, effectively shutting his friends out. Their amused faces were left behind as the doors closed, creating a private sanctuary once more. Sunghoon turned back to her with a sheepish grin.
"Let's continue now, shall we?"
💬 kind of really hate this but I wrote it all already so it'd kill me to redo might take it down later, I had fun with it though so I hope it didn't come out too bad - im entering flop era so please pleasee reblog if you enjoy!

Azriel x Reader | Gone for Too Long
type: angst warning(s): mature language, verbal fighting word count: 2.2k words
request: Hey can you write a fix where the reader is basically tired of loving az from far away cuz he is always off on missions? Like one day he comes home from a mission when she didn't expect it and she gives him dinner and he says smth like why don't you cook anymore and she says i do ur just never here to taste it. She is tired of seeing him only 60 out of 365 days a year and those 60 days she has with him is spent in sharing him with the inner circle and now she is just tired? Make it like really really angsty. THANK YOU SO MUCH <3
- all rights reserved -
The glass splinters when it hits the bottom of the empty sink. It slipped out of your hand just like the thread of hope to repair this relationship you still have been holding onto.
Scarred hands touch your shoulders a moment later. Azriel is behind you, holding your trembling figure. “I am sorry. It was just a question,” he breathes and it is the last push you need. The last straw that breaks the camel’s back.
Tears fill your eyes, your throat burning with a scream. Your heartbeat increases, the organ starting to rapidly beat against your ribcage. “Do you really think this is all about this stupid question? Honestly, if you were here in the past weeks–months actually– you would have known how often I cooked dinner. But your were never here. Not once. Not even when you promised,” you spit, cringing at the loud volume of your voice.
A shudder courses through the body of the shadowsinger behind you, his hands shaking slightly on your shoulders. His body goes rigid, his demeanour icy cold when awareness dawns on him. And gods, he really hasn’t been here a lot lately.
Just too much is going on. With Koschei. With the upcoming war. Rhysand, the High Lord of the Night Court, needs him at every chance possibly. Azriel, the loyal and eager spymaster he is, obviously agrees to every mission Rhysand sent him on in the past months–the past year. Azriel has thought about what it means to leave you behind, of course, but being so wrapped up in his work and the stress it brought along he hasn’t noticed what it really did to you.
He hears your silent sob and it breaks his heart. Carefully curling his scarred fingers around your shoulder’s Azriel turns you to him, your teary gaze only meeting his briefly.
You trembling lips part and Azriel prepares himself for another reprimand for not being here, maybe even a small angry insult. But what he is not at all prepared for is what really leaves your mouth. Those words, those words that cut so damn deep, that crack his heart open and that will decide over a future together or —the Gods forbid– forever apart.
"I cannot do this anymore…"
Azriel’s lower lip trembles, his head slowly starting shake. His fingers curl tighter around your shoulders, like he is holding on for dear life. Like he is holding onto you for dear life, never wanting to let you go, not wanting you to continue with what you started. Still he asks the questions. He needs to hear the answer from you.
"What?" he questions, voice barely above a whisper. The shadows calm around him, ascending their owner, smoothing around him. Dim clouds appear in Azriel’s empty eyes, his normally so tanned skin looking paler all of a sudden.
"I cannot love a person who is never here.”
Azriel’s thumb brushes your collar bone, but you don’t want this. You don’t want him to touch you in this moment. You feel like you’re being suffocated, having swallowed the pain and the anger for so long. Now it threatens to drown you in it. You carefully yet sternly move his hand away and take a step back, not moving to far as the counter behind you stops you.
“Y/N,” Azriel mumbles, his voice almost pleading.
“I didn’t mean to upset you. I can talk to Rhys. I can—“
“It is too damn late for that. And you did not…you did not upset me. You disappointed me. You made me angry. When is the last time we have actually spent time together. Like really?”
“Two weeks ago when I returned—“ “We fucked, Azriel. That is it. You fucked me and then you slept. The next morning we had to be up early to have breakfast with your family and you left again.”
You wording has been too crude and vulgar. You didn’t want to use such wording, you didn’t want you say that to him.
You cringe when you watch Azriel flinch, stumbling backwards slightly. Azriel has never ever stumbled, he has always looked stern, calm, in full control of his body. That has changed now. He looks shaken, caught in horror and stupor.
“It is never just fucking when we…when we make love.”
You swallow the lump in your throat, biting down on your lip before your force yourself to lift your gaze to meet his. “I know. I am sorry for my wording. But it still does not change how is has been that night. We haven’t gone out for dinner in ages. Last Solstice, you got me tickets for the theater and we still haven’t been there. We haven’t even been on walk together in months. Nothing. When we spend time together it is mostly woth your family. I am so tired of this.”
Brushing the back of your hand over your cheek, you wipe away some of the dampness. It is useless anyways as more and more tears start to roll out of your eyes. “I just cannot be with someone who is never here. It breaks my heart. It breaks me, Azriel.”
A croaky, hoarse sound leaves the shadowsinger and he takes a step forward.
“You cannot do this to us,” Azriel argues, body trembling when awareness fills every fiber of his body. He has messed up. He is about to lose the one person that matters most to him. Nothing would ever make up for that. Nothing would ever repair his heart if that should be the case.
“Us?!” you exclaim, throwing your hands up in despair. Azriel tries to reach for you, tries to grab your hands. But you lean back, shaking your head.
“It once used to be us. But I don’t feel like us is no longer. It is me, always me. Always just me. I am always just by myself…”
You wipe a finger under your nose, gathering the salty tears. Sniffing, you clamp your mouth shut, trying to reach for a tissue on the counter. Azriel hands it to you, his is your mate after all and has a seventh sense to know what you need. Apperently, he hasn’t had that in the past months…
“I am so sorry. If I had—“
You hold up a hand, fury burning in your veins. Your lips purse when you met his stare, glaring. “Don’t you continue that. If you had known? Really? Were you so oblivious and blind to not see what it did to me?”
Bile creeps up your throat, a cold shiver running down your spine.
Azriel is your mate, but does he really know you so little. You start questioning the bond, you start questioning your decision, how much of yourself you have given him. It burns your heart, your soul aching. The bond all of a sudden is dim, no longer brightly glowing. It has stopped glowing months ago, the flame of desire was blown out at the same time. There is nothing left but this dull, cool feeling of indifference.
Do you still love him? Or have you just been holding onto love?
Is there a chance that the bond could start glowing again? Is there a chance to revive the love between the two of you? Some mates are not made for each other for a lifetime. You have spent a great amount of time together, maybe it was just about to end? Maybe it was never how it should be.
Azriel and being mates with him has shaped your life immensely, has helped you grow and find happiness. But maybe this is all about to come to an end. You maybe have to move on. Grow on your own. Find happiness on your own.
“You are right.” Azriel’s fetches you back to the moment in the kitchen. You leave your thoughts and curl your arms around your body. It is so cold all of a sudden, so empty of life, of happiness.
“I—“ “Yes. It is my fault. Yes, I should have seen it. Yes, I should have been there. Yes, I should not have asked this idiotic questions. But please, you cannot put an end to this.”
Tears stream down the spymaster’s face when shadows gather behind his shoulders. His large wings hang lifelessly behind his back, dragging over the floor. Not once has he ever done that in his life. For an Illyrian their wings are holy. He has always cared about them. Until now. Now he cares about nothing but you. Only you. As it should have been those past months. You should have been his priority always. Why the hell was he so stupid? Azriel asks himself.
“But I cannot continue likes this.” You blow your nose and then tab the tissue under your eyes. “I cannot be with you when you are never here. I wanted a bond with you because I wanted to be with you. And I understand that you work a lot and that you cannot be here always. But I cannot love someone who is never here.”
Azriel swallows a shuddering sob, his knees wobbly and then…
Then his legs give in. His whole body weight comes crashing down when he falls to his knees in front of you, big, scarred hands braced on the ground right next to your feet.
And gods, your heart cracks open fully. Azriel, he…he looks like a fallen warrior. “Az,” you breathe when you slowly lower yourself to the ground as well.
You carefully, gently place your palms on his cheek, making him look at you. “Az…” “I am sorry. I apologise a million times for the pain I caused you. For my absence. For all this stupid shit I did. I should have been here, I know. But you leaving me…I don’t know how to survive this. You are the most important person in my life. My priority and I have no idea why I was so foolish to forget this in the past months. It should have been you first, always.”
Azriel’s scarred hands close over yours. He leans forward and you do, too. Your forehead presses against his, you breathe in the same air. Your eyes close, you draw in a deep breath.
“Never again. Azriel, never leave again for so long. You have spies that work for you. They can go on missions as well. And Rhys is your brother, you can talk to him.”
Squeezing his eyes shut, his chin dips slowly. Azriel inhales a ragged breath, squeezing your hands tightly in his. “Forgive me? Can…can you forgive me? One last time?” he rasps, his eyes slowly opening. All life has vanished from his eyes, leaving a dull, brown, grey-ish, tone behind.
“If I mess it all up again, send me to hell, but please give me one last time.”
He leans into your touch, turning his head slightly and softly brushing his lips over your palm.
One last chance. Because, even if you thought about moving on and trying to grow on your own, Azriel is your mate. You need him just as much as he needs you. You have the mating bond and now, in this very moment, you think that Azriel truly means it this time. Maybe he has really been oblivious and blind.
A shadow leaves his body, moving over to you and softly caresses your skin. A small smile blooms on your lips when you bow your head. You need Azriel in your life and in this very moment you know it. He would be here more often from now on. He understands how much you need him here and what it did to you that he was gone for so long.
“One last chance,” you whisper against his lips.
“One last chance.” Azriel lips softly peck yours, his body relaxing just the slightest bit.
You would still need to talk about it again, make plans on how exactly the future should look like, but for now, he has a chance. A chance to make up. To make things better.

Kiss Me Beneath the Mistletoe
Natasha Romanoff x Fem!Reader
Warning: A wee bit sad, but super fluff.
Smut: Pussy slapping, Fingering(R), Thigh Riding (N), Mommy (N), Detka/Kotenok (R), Teasing!
Christmas is the season of giving, but it seems all you've experienced thus far was much to the opposite. Natasha—your gorgeous wife, had been on an unusually large amount of missions lately, and no longer having her around hurt; in more ways than one. It'd been a good two months since she last gave you the gift of an orgasm, and she'd ruined you too badly for your hands and toys to do the job anymore. You’d been screwed over, instead of on, and you were growing increasingly frustrated.
Your boss has taken your happiness, your parents took your kids for the week, Fury has taken your lover, and she herself had taken your pleasure and rolled it out in her suitcase. To say you were fed up would likely be the understatement of the year; you were vengeful, touch deprived, and horny beyond belief.
—————————————————————
Natasha was supposed to return tonight, finally receiving a break from work, and you were planning to take full advantage of her presence. The house had already been decorated for the upcoming holiday, something else that was rudely taken from you since you all normally decorated as a family, but now that you think of it, this could very well work in your favor.
With only one hour until Nat was likely to walk through the doors of your shared space you rushed to get to work. Taking the leftover wrapping paper you carefully taped it to your bedroom door, then once it was straight enough you taped a ribbon over the center to give the illusion that it was a present to open. Then once the door was complete you hopped into the shower, did some maintenance work, then got out to get yourself all dolled up.
Using your most expensive products you tended to your skin, ensuring that it was soft to the touch, and smelled of the sweetest fruits. Then in the true spirit of the holiday, you found some spare ribbon to tie around your tummy, and to be as festive as can be you now had the mistletoe you had previously hung up at the front door dangling just above your cunt.
The thought of Natasha's mouth alone sent a pang of arousal straight to your core, eagerly you looked to the clock to see the time, and your body shivered knowing she'd be here any minute, so you took your place on the bed, settling on your knees, and holding onto the last bit of patience you had left in your body.
Natasha didn't keep you waiting long either, it was as if she read your mind, because within five minutes you were able to hear her keys jingle in the door. The redhead entered your house with the hopes of excited greetings. However, when tiny bodies hadn't attached to her legs, and your arms weren't around her neck her shoulders were instantly deflating. The house was far too quiet for the kids to be here, but your car was in the driveway so she knew that you were definitely here somewhere.
Natasha settled her bag down, followed by her shoes, and then she hung up her winter coat. There was no sign of you in the front room or the kitchen, both were actually spotless, so she knew for certain the kids were probably gone to their grandparents—she vaguely remembered you telling her about that happening soon. She'd been hopeful to see them, but another part of her was excited to have you to herself. She missed your touch, and to know she didn't have to share you with them for the next few days excited her a bit more than it should've.
She was getting antsy the longer she was made to look around for you, this clever game of cat and mouse you set up was clear to her now. Once she made it to your bedroom after going up the stairs she smirked at your festive set up. The bright red paper covering the door, only to be adorned with the gold ribbon had her body buzzing with excitement, and her mind was too curious for what she'd find on the other side.
However, she didn't wish to startle you in case she was getting too ahead of herself with her sinful assumptions. So, she was gentle with the doorknob, even though she'd wanted to rip the door of its hinges for separating her from you. The sight of you didn't disappoint her either, because there you were kneeling on the bed, pretty and patient as you awaited her arrival. A groan fell from her lips at the sight of your glistening slit, for you to already be so turned on while only waiting for her, without her even needing to touch you had her ready to give in and absolutely destroy you.
Her eyes then trailed up to see the mistletoe, she chuckled at the playful tease you had set up, then finally her eyes landed on your face., "Oh detka, look at you, making a mess I see.," her eyes had once again fallen, the obvious wet patch on the mattress filling her with want., "You know the rules Nat...," you teasingly call out to her, your crooked pointed finger now beckoning your eager lover over, and she wasted no more time approaching you.
Iridescent eyes held contact with yours all the while she was leaning in to be met with your core. You could feel the way your clit fluttered in anticipation for her next move, and as gently as the redhead could she kissed your mound. Though she was soft, the pressure was still enough to make your body jolt with pleasure., "Natty, please, don't tease me.," you groaned, and the redhead lifted her head to level with yours, eyes full of mischief stared into yours.
"Detka, the rule is a kiss, did I not give you exactly that?," she asked condescendingly, and you whimpered in utter frustration., "Nat, I swear to God, if you don't get back down there, and —.," you moaned when her hand came into contact with your sensitive cunt, the sound of her slap reverberating off the bedroom walls., "Detka, you know better than to go making demands, so how about you try that again."
The need for release was far too great, so you swallowed your pride, and pouted your lips. Natasha gently pecked them in response, then furrowed her brows in wait for your words., "Mommy, please, I've missed you so much. Need your mouth, and fingers, please just—.," Natasha rewarded your pleading with a thumb pressing into your enlarged clit, cutting you off and she couldn't help but to chuckle at the way your body was writhing underneath hers from only the simplest of touches—it amused her.
"Wow detka, you weren't lying—this pretty pussy missed mommy's touch.," she was in awe, like she always was with how sensitive and reactive your body was to her touches. Her lips began to lovingly pepper kisses across your face in an attempt to calm you., "Don't worry my sweetness, mommy missed you and your pretty pussy just as much.," her lips then slammed into yours as two of her fingers slid inside of your entrance with nothing but ease.
They didn’t stay there long though, they were only there to ease you into having your tight hole filled, because hearing your sinful moans was the greatest part of her own experience. You never were one to complain either, too immersed in chasing down your release to care. Plump lips made their way down your jaw, and once they settled over your pulse point you were crying out as she suckled upon the skin., “Fuck, kotenok, you always make the prettiest noises for your mommy, so fucking perfect.,” she groaned, and even in your dizzied state you felt her own wetness smearing over your thigh., “Fuck, mommy please, I-I need to cum.,” you cried out as her fingers worked you over, the pit in your stomach always tightened whenever she used your body so openly for her pleasure.
“Wanna cum with you detka, just hold on.,” you knew you wouldn’t last much longer, and judging by the way she was relentlessly riding your thigh all while panting harshly against your neck you knew she was in the same boat. Clenching the muscles in your thigh seemed to do the trick as Natasha stilled momentarily, “Let go detka, cum with your mommy.,” with screams of her own following your actions her fingers had curled delightfully from within you. The raspy groans that were next to hit your ear as your walls clung to her fingers only seemed to heighten your ongoing pleasure.
Natasha’s lips sloppily found yours while her lithe fingers fought against the resistance, she continued to pump her fingers into you, doing her best to prolong your high as she herself was coming down from her own intense orgasm. When your swallowed moans became whines she slowly brought her fingers to a stop, gently pulling them out as she felt your walls relax.
The redhead gazed at her fingers in pure shock, they were glistening under the soft light of the moon, your arousal had came flooding out of you in abundance tonight, and your wife was delighted for such a treat to have come from her laborious efforts. She’d felt your eyes far before she decided to gaze into them, they were still pretty hazy as you watched her intently. You were clearly awaiting her next move, a smile on your lips that appeared innocent, but your eyes were swimming with insatiable lust.
“My precious girl, look, you made such a mess for your mommy.,” she smirked when your lips jutted out into a pout., “I’m sorry mommy.,” she chuckled heartily., “Don’t be detka, I think you’re rather tasty myself.,” she winked at you, her eyes never left yours as she began to clean her hand up, that talented tongue of hers taunting you as she traced over yours drippings that had now surpassed her wrist, before swirling over her palm that was just as soaked.
“Fuck baby, I wish I could bottle your essence up.,” you moaned in response to the sinful idea, your thighs began instinctively rubbing together as that familiar heat had returned to between your thighs., “Wanna taste honey?,” you nodded vehemently, but you were quick to atone for your mistakes, beyond eager for her offer., “Yes please mommy.”
She beamed at you., “Good girl, the best even.,” her sticky fingers pushed passed your lips, an incoherent moan surging from your throat when your tongue swirled over her digits, and you came into contact with your own taste. Natasha found fucking your throat to be her favorite pastime, pushing you to your outer limits as you splutter around her digits after each time she gags you. Seeing you like this, with tears of pleasure rolling down your face never fails to turn her on; just like now where she can feel her arousal coating her thighs.
Her body was begging her to take you again, to use your body for her own pleasure, but there was this glint of sadness beneath all the lust. Even though you seemed ready for more, your wife could tell just by the look in your eyes that you were yearning for so much more than sex. Deciding what was best for you she gently slid her fingers from your mouth, wiping your spit off on the sheets and lowering her body until she was hovering right above you., “Cuddles?,” her smile was as sincere as can be, and in your heightened state you just couldn’t handle it., “I-I missed you so much Nat.,” you whimpered, body racking with uncontainable sobs as your pent up emotions got the better of you.
Natasha had honestly never moved so fast, she rolled onto her back, then effortlessly pulled your body atop of hers, settling your teary eyed face in her neck, she began to rub soothing circles into your back., “Oh honey, it’s okay, I’m here.,” you sniffled., “Yeah, but for how long?,” the traces of agony in your tone broke her heart, she hadn’t exactly realized just how badly you’d been missing her, of course she missed you just the same, but her missions at least distracted her.
Her endeavors were like this great escape, and your day to day was essentially a shrine to her. Photos decorated the walls of all your greatest moments, as they should, but she knows that it can’t be easy seeing your smiling wife on the bedside table before being expected to sleep without her and repeatedly keep doing so.
“Detka, let me up, I need to show you something.,” you instantly shook your head and whimpered, but to your dismay she removed your hands anyways., “I’ll be right back, I promise you’ll be happy that I left.”
She never told you, because she wanted this news to be a Christmas miracle-esque gift, but the whole reason she’s been on these nonstop missions is for the sake of your forged family. Every time she leaves she knows she’s missing critical moments with the kids, and she’s tired of seeing the pained disappointment in your eyes. It’s not something you intend for her to see, and you’d never ask this of her, but she’s a spy, and she’s also the woman that’d do literally anything for you and those kids.
Fury wasn’t as open to her request to retire, she was his best agent, but after going over her contract with a fine tooth comb she knew she’d been within her rights to request such a thing. Still, he haggled with her, finding a bylaw that required her to reach a certain number of hour’s dedicated to Shield, and she found she was only 150 hours shy of meeting her end. So, Fury begrudgingly shook her hand two months ago, signing the paper on the condition that she were to fulfill the remaining hours.
Which is exactly what she did with this mission she just returned from, this was her happy ending, and she just needed to get you clued in so that she could spend the rest of eternity keeping you smiling instead of crying.
Natasha raced back into your room with a wrapped up manilla envelope, she sat down beside you with an anxious smile, shaking the suspicious gift in your face., “Open it detka.,” you shook your head with a huff., “It’s not Christmas yet.,” she chuckled at your attempt to hold up the sanctity of your favorite holiday, but if that was an intention you’d both already broken it with the wrapped door and mistletoe.
“I got to open a gift tonight, so do you.,” you shied under her teasing gaze, sticking your tongue out at her petulantly you snatched the gift from her hand, digging into the snowman wrapping paper, then popping open the metal you reached into the envelope to find a single sheet., “I, Natasha Romanoff, officially tender my resignation to Shield, and all associated projects. It’s been my greatest pleasure to serve, but as I get older I find it’s best to pass the torch onto the next generation, and to instead focus on my family. The world will survive without me, but my world that now resides in a house on the countryside won’t.”
It took you a minute to process, you just kept rereading the final sentence, waiting for the permanency to hit, and once it did you shifted and tackled your wife to the bed., “Really?,” she nodded in amusement., “I am officially your housewife now.,” you beamed at the news coming straight from her lips., “Not sure you’ll appreciate the duties that come with the title.”
The assassin shrugged., “I’ll love being able to take the kids to school, and to help them with their homework.,” you smile seeing just how excited she truly is., “Can’t wait to be waiting for my wife with a hot meal at the ready, ooh, and to hear all about her horrible day while we watch shitty American television with tubs of ice cream at the ready.,” you rolled your eyes at her promises of a hot meal knowing they’ll likely be take out containers buried in the trash, but you smiled when realizing it’s the thought that counts., “Mostly though, I look forward to waking up next to you always.”
Natasha huffed when you dropped your body onto hers, the warmth of your happy tears pooling uncomfortably in the crook of her neck, but it’s worth it to know you’re happy. Still, she desperately wanted to hear you laugh, “So no round two then?,” you croakily chuckled against her neck, she settled into the bed much easier at the adored sound, when you melted into her she knew you were exhausted too., “Get some rest, we’ll clean up in the morning.”

you were on your own, surviving alone. moving from place to place, never staying in one place for more than a day. until you met rick and his group, you were different from them. they had their guns, while you stayed with the classic Odachi.
it was your father’s, you didn’t know he kept a whole odachi under his bed. you’ve never used a gun before in your whole life, so you sticked with the sword, you were pretty good at it to.
but bad with long distance aim because of your bad eye sight. you different from them, so when you met her, michonne, outside the fence, multiple walkers around her yet none of them bitting her.
you let her in, treating her wounds, giving her new clothes because she smelt like shit. she had a stern and fierce look on her face, always. even if you were talking to her.
no matter how soft you were to her or how calm your voice is, she’s always had a stern look. it was a few weeks when she finally softened up. laughing at one of your jokes while two of you watch over the base.
you’d never admit it out loud but you hated the way rick touched her wound just to make her talk about the whereabouts of glen and maggie. sure you wanted to find out where, he was practically a big brother to you.
but he didn’t have to hurt her like that.
the two of you often take walks around the perimeter, guarding the prison while talking about stuff, anything she talks about for you seems so interesting. she was also funny, but of course she always says you’re the funnier one.
you two really bonded over such small time, it wasn’t even forced, well you talked to her until she’d talk to you. and when she did, it was the best.
you didn’t know why you wanted to be her friend so much. not until last week, you finally learned after months of staying with her, you’d fallen for her.
you confessed to her, not really expecting her to like you back. you confessed with really, really awkward words and well expression. but she liked you back, well first she laughed at your awkwardness, then she told you, she liked you back.
and now you’re here, being lovey dovey every second you get with her. watching her workout, watching her not working out with her. she didn’t like pda that much, but she will get clingy to you the second you get privacy.
and in the end, she will always be the sweetest to you, and you only. you’ll always be her girl. through sickness. even carl teases the both of you for acting like a married couple.
but you two just loved each other so much that it’s corny. like really corny, coming from carl. you two loved carl like your own son, whenever being on supply runs with him, you always get not so much supply, why?
the three of you are too busy putting on silly sunglasses and taking pictures, and doing races around the abandon streets, singing around to old music. you and michonne even gifted carl a stack of comic books for his birthday.
it took a long time to find the complete series that isn't completely ruined or covered in walker blood or normal human blood. but one day, you found one comic store that was locked. but you and michonne opened it, and found fresh comic books, not covered in anything.
he was over the moon with those stupid comic books. you and michonne loved him, and would done anything to protect him.
a/n: my wife frfrfr. another fic! upcoming Rosita fic??? oop it's already in the works!

Devlog #29 | 03.27.23
Hi everyone!
April is almost here, which terrifies me since the year is going by so fast. Before I get into game updates, I wanted to share a bit of a (somewhat) personal one.
This month, progress on Alaris was overall a bit slow---or at least, slower than usual. I noticed this month I was struggling a lot with working on basically anything, whether it was for school, work, Alaris, or just taking care of myself. And I realized basically a year late that I was feeling extremely burnt out.
For those who have been following Alaris for a long time, you may know that early 2022, I was struggling with a lot of personal circumstances. I had taken a week off back then to "take time for myself," but in actuality, I had continued working on Alaris and other things because sometimes when I have too much time on my hands, it's worse for my mental health. This was a recurring theme for basically all of 2022. Even during the holiday breaks (e.g., summer, November, December, etc.), I continued working on Alaris, partly because I love the project, partly because it helps me cope with irl things.
This past month, I think the break that I've desperately needed since the start of 2022 made itself Very Apparent and made progress slow on my end. I'm very sorry if the update this month is disappointing because of that! I tried to take a break this past week and am feeling a bit better now, so hopefully, things start to get back on track this upcoming month <3 With that, I'll get into actual updates!
Writing
I'm not going to lie to you all; writing was Slow this month LOL. Basically, the entire writing team got taken out by some sickness or another. I would say for 2-3 weeks of the month, there was no progress on editing or writing at all since everyone was sick at the same time <\3 We are starting to pick things back up, but please send your best wishes to the writing team since they were Going Through It this month!! Also, if you got sick this month and got whatever has been going around globally, I hope you are feeling better as well <333
I did update a good amount of the demo script---just rewriting things since my writing style has changed a little. Small things, but hopefully enjoyable changes nonetheless!
Art
As always, we have continued to make progress on BG art. This month, Vui finished the River BG and the Forest BG, both of which appear in Chapter 2 of the demo. We actually only have one more BG to finish, which is the Flower Field, and all the BGs for the demo will be complete (ahh!!!). It's been about 5 (?) months in the making to revamp all the BGs for the demo, but we are finally reaching the finish line, and everything is slowly getting ready for a revamped demo release ^^
preview of the forest BG
I also have a preview of the GUI for you all! There will be some small changes, like colors, before the final version. But a little crumb to feed you all since I didn't make much progress this month
I also mentioned in the last devlog how I might update the personality icons for Alaris, which were completed this month by the same item artist who did the affection point icons!
The overall vision for this was little potions to build on the "magical" setting of Alaris. I think they're much easier to differentiate and so cute <3
My focus was more on demo art assets for this month, so I finished up the individual CGs for each of the LI's introductions.
soft and fluffy updated Etza CG
I also started updating the sprites a bit---mostly small touches so the art looks a bit more cohesive since my style has changed a bit since the demo first came out. Aisa and Kuna'a are receiving outfit changes so that their clothing stands out from Central gang and looks more cohesive with the aesthetic that will be used for Fae.
Additional Notes
Something else I got to work on this month was finally reviewing the demo voiced lines in full. I hope you all are EXCITED to listen to them in the updated demo! A lot of the lines had me giggling (heehee!). I can't wait to see everything together once it's coded into the game ^^
I also opened applications for playtesters. They close at the end of this month, aka in a couple of days. So if you are interested, please don't forget to submit an application! Thank you already to everyone who has submitted something. The response was more than I expected, so as always, I appreciate the support you all provide wah <3
Market Research
Lastly, I actually got to do some "market research" this month (yay!). I finished up Piofiore finally.
the man, the legend: gilbert redford
Touchstarved also came out. I unfortunately haven't been able to play the demo yet since I was traveling when it was released, but I already know I'll love it and I drew Kuras even though I haven't even played the game yet LMAO
gender envy
Anyways, I think that's enough from me, so that is all for this month's update! Stay safe, and see you all next month <3

PoliZ's WIP Update - 9 Oct 2024
I had a very productive writing week!! I touched nine fics (4 new & 5 WIPs) for a total of 2702 words!
On Ao3, I posted:
Chapter Nine of My Love is Vengeance - young!Tony/ recovering!Bucky action adventure fic
Tony Stark Bingo Mark VIII - September Round Robin - Tony POV time travel shenanigans
Sweet Dreams and Flying Machines - Tony & Rhodey MIT Era ficlet.
On Tumblr I posted:

I’m juggling 20+ active/semi-active WIPs with my current deadline being the Fictober, Flufftober and Whumptober writing challenges that run til the end of the month, along with the Build a Bucky Bingo.
See below cut for what I’m working on/planning to work on - arranged more or less by bingos/challenges/etc. As always, feel free to send me prompts or plot bunnies as well as asks regarding any of these projects or any other WIPs I’ve got out there. Interaction really helps feed the Muse and keep me motivated!
WinterIron Gets It Done Bingo [WIGID]
This new WinterIron Discord server event runs on a monthly basis as a flash bingo with a content creation card and an engagement card - working on filling squares for both!
* Classic1 - "Oops" Wrote up a double drabble that crosses over with the FltT prompt 11. Ingredients & Spells as well as my TSB S3 - KINK: Aphrodisiacs square. Love Potion Number φ came in at 200 words and will post here on the 11th.
* Classic_3 - FREE - filling this with the upcoming final chapter of Love is a Thing That Can Never Go Wrong - my (eventual) WinterIron Reality Show AU fic from this summer. The final episode of Courting a Royal has James choosing his potential partner - and he throws a wrench into things with his choice. It’s coming in at 1092 words and will also fill the BaBB October: Formal Wear prompt and my TSB: R1 - WinterIron square - coming to Ao3 on Friday!
* Classic_4 - Fortune Teller - wrote a drabble that incorporates the Fictober prompt 22 - “Why are we doing this again?” It came in at 100 words and will post here on Tumblr on the 22nd.
Build-A-Bucky Bingo [BaBB_R1] (Ends 31 Oct 2024)
Another fun year-long event from the folks at @buckybarnesevents! Each month there’s a list of prompts and you choose (at least) one each month for your card! At thirty-five fills and one month to go, I think I’ve gone a bit overboard …. 😁
* May: Bucky’s Trigger Words - combined this with a previous Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF251 Out There] for Just To Live One Day Out There - a Winter Soldier self-reflective ficlet. It came in at 312 words and will get posted to Ao3 Real Soon.
* October: Formal Wear - see WIGID Classic_3 - FREE above.
Flufftober 2024 [FlfT_24] (Runs 1-31 Oct)
This writing challenge hosted by @flufftober runs for the month of October. My goal is to write one fic a week that incorporates these prompts: 1 posted so far with four more coming - hoping to write one or two more!
* 5. Acorn, Chestnut, Pine Cone - Posted Up, Down, North, South, East and West last Saturday. Combined this with R3 - AU: adventurers/explorers for some Tony & Morgan fluff. It came in at 347 words and will get posted to Ao3 at some point..
* 11. Ingredients & Spells - see WIGID Classic_1 - “Oops” above.
* 12 - “This is spooky.” - “Really?” - Combining this with the Fictober prompt - 12 “Did you hear that?” and my BBB B3 - "Anyone out there?" square for a pre-war Steve & Bucky fic where they venture into the creepy cellar of their apartment building. Digging Up The Past is coming in at 577 words and may get tweaked a bit before I post it on the 12th.
* 18. Bewitched - Combined BBB B1 - Magic and Fictober 19. “This is getting ridiculous.” for a WinterIron ficlet where something odd (and adorable) is going on with Bucky. Copy Cat is coming in at 272 words and will post here on the 18th.
* 22 - Heirloom - Using this, combined with my WIB G2 - Edwin Jarvis & TSB T2 - Wedding - for Chapter 10 of A Sugar-Coated Pill. It’s jumping forward in time and has Tony gifting a tie bar to Bucky as his ‘something old’ for their wedding. It’s sitting at 966 words and will post on the 22nd.
Whumptober 2024 [WmpT_24] (Runs 1-31 Oct)
This writing challenge hosted by @whumptober runs for the month of October, but the prompt list has already been published, so you can get a jump start! My goal is to write two fics (whump isn’t normally my bag) that incorporates these prompts. One done and hopefully one more at some point.
* No. 2: TRUST ISSUES - Amusement Park | Role Reversal | “You got away with the crime while the knife’s in my back.” – crossover with WIB N5 - "I'm here for you." and possibly my BBB Y2 - Kidnapped! square.
* No. 4: HALLUCINATIONS + “You’re still alive in my head”. Combined this with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF273 Invisible Guest] for Having the Last Word where Tony confronts an imaginary (but still dead) Obadiah Stane. It came in at 310 words and will get posted to Ao3 at some point.
Fictober 2024 [FicT_24] (Runs 1-31 Oct)
Another October writing challenge with daily prompts - all of which are dialogue. Go check out @fictober-event for details! I’ve got three crossover ficlets WIPS and have a few more possibilities. Targeting four fics total for the month.
* 12 “Did you hear that?” - see FlfT 12 - 12 - “This is spooky.” - “Really?”
* 19. “This is getting ridiculous.” - see FlfT 18. Bewitched
* 22 - “Why are we doing this again?” - see WIGID Classic_4: Fortune Teller
WinterIron Bingo Round 2 [WIB_R2] (Ends 16 Dec 2024)
Signups are still open for pre-made cards for Round Two of this super-fun bingo event! I have twenty fills and zero WIPs at the moment - setting this aside for the moment, as I have other time-sensitive events going.
* Iron Soldier (One Bingo, One Fill) - looking at combining my Column B prompts: Matchmaker, Bucky Riding Tony, Stark Gala, Inside Joke and Threesome. Still working on a plot - if you have any suggestions/want-to-sees - let me know!
* I3 - Car Sex - Have a fun ficlet in mind for this - some of the dialogue & such already worked out in my head.
* N5 - "I'm here for you." - Possibly the next chapter of Lady Natasha’s Consort and Lord Steve’s Companion ?
Marvelous Yahtzee [MY_24] (Ends 31 Dec)
Another writing challenge that I kind of forgot I signed up for! This one is a bit complicated - check out the Tumblr blog for more info. Hopefully I can pick up a few lines and put something together before the event ends.
Bucky Barnes Bingo - Round Six [BBB - R6] (Ends 31 Mar)
This amazing bingo event from the folks over at @buckybarnesbingo is back! I have sixteen fills (but somehow only one bingo) with two WIPs at the moment, and a couple more crossovers planned.
* B1 - Magic - see FlfT 18 - Bewitched above.
* U3 - Yelena Belova - Magica and I are circling back around to Peresmešnik, (aka Three Avengers and a Baby) - with the next chapter featuring Tony’s interactions with Mirriam, and a revelation about her parentage. I’ve written 313 of the 560 words in this chapter so far - it needs about 500 more words before we’ll be ready to post - maybe sometime this month?
* K2 - IMAGE: Bucky and Steve in Siberian silo hallway (CA:CW) - Combined this with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF269 Living Weapon] for Reconstruction - a fix-it/canon divergent ficlet where Steve, Bucky and Tony team up instead of fighting. It came in at 268 words and will get posted to Ao3 before the event is over.
Tony Stark Bingo - Mark VIII [TSB_R8] (Ends 31 May)
This amazing bingo event from the folks over at @tonystarkbingo is back! Late signups should start this month if you want to join in on the fun! I have thirteen squares filled and three WIPs -
* T1 - Watching Helplessly - Posted Stranded Among the Stars to Tumblr as a crossover with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF265 Galaxies Away]. It’s a Nebula & Tony ficlet set on the ship - it came in at 345 words and will get posted to Ao3 before the event ends.
* R1 - WinterIron - see WIGID - Classic_3 - FREE above
* R2 - I love you 3000 - Posted A Difficult Decision this morning. It’s an Endgame- compliant drabble that looks into Tony’s thought processes right after tucking Morgan into bed.
* R3 - AU: adventurers/explorers - see FlfT 5. Acorn, Chestnut, Pine Cone above.
* R5 - Future fic - Filled this with the Tony Stark Bingo Mark VIII - September Round Robin. Tony is tasked with saving the world by his future self, and gets punched in the nose for his trouble. My part came in at 799 words and it posted last Saturday
Post July Break Bingo 2024 [pJBB_24] (Ends 30 Jun 2025)
I requested two 2x3 cards for this Discord-server only event from @julybreakbingo – so if you want to join in the fun, let me know and I’ll try to get you an invite! I have four fics posted & 0 WIPs - need to figure out some more crossovers.
* C2_B1 - Courting/courted in a different way than they're familiar with - posted A Symbol of Devotion on Tumblr as a crossover with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF267 Gifted Violets] - a bit of Stony fluff with Tony buying Steve little things for his apartment. It came in at 374 words and will get posted to Ao3 before this event is over.
* C2_B2 - Being there for someone after a traumatic event - posted Melting Down as a crossover with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF271 Tantrum Entrance] - post IM3 where Pepper’s struggling with Extremis. Will post to Ao3 before this event is over.
Warm and Fluffy Bingo [WFB] (no end date)
Eight fills on my card, courtesy of @warmandfluffybingocards - need to try for another crossover or two!
* I2 - Vulnerable Drunk - Finally got Sweet Dreams and Flying Machines posted to Ao3. It crosses over with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt of [#FFF258 Milky Way Dreams] and is a MIT-era Tony & Rhodey ficlet, where a drunk Tony shares a childhood dream with his best friend. It came in at 317 words.
————
On other creative fronts: I am working on a Wolfman figure for a custom commission along with prepping for Marvel Trumps Hate 2024 - see my Marvel masterpost if you’re interested.
If you’re looking for one of a kind gifts for birthdays or other celebrations, check out Stuffed With Character over on Facebook for a full list of my designs (now over 150!). These soft stuffed figures are mostly Marvel and monsters, but I have some Star Wars, Star Trek, DC and Disney figures as well. Plus I love to take custom design requests for any fandom!

Title: The Doctor's Plight Summary: Priyanka comes to grips with her daughter's choice of partner. Word Count: 492
Sorry this one's a bit late; I'll try and still have today's short out on time. I'm super proud of this one's title, though lmao. For Glow Week day 5, I used the prompt "Family."
The short is also beneath the cut:
From the very moment she had first met him, Priyanka had never been too keen on Steven. Who was this strange, bubbly boy, and why did he feel so… entitled to touch and hug her dear Connie? And why did her daughter seem to reciprocate the actions?
As a responsible mother would, she tried to nip the growing friendship in the bud before it could blossom into something… well, more than a simple friendship. She would constantly cut their calls short, fabricate excuses to prevent them from seeing one another; she even tried setting Connie up with a more proper friend, the son of one of her and Doug’s college buddies.
Needless to say, Priyanka’s plans failed absolutely miserably—beyond miserably, even. Steven and Connie were dating by the time they entered their late teens; they were engaged only five years later; and, before she knew it, a freaking baby was on the way, prior to her daughter’s college graduation nonetheless!
All she could do was drink. How had things panned out so unexpectedly? Where had she gone so wrong? Most importantly, how would she explain this all to the extended family before the upcoming wedding!?
Doug had been her rock in these difficult times. He would constantly reassure her and encourage her to think positively. Before long, she found herself looking forward to the upcoming milestones in her daughter’s life, no matter who she met them with.
After catching wind of the bride’s premarital pregnancy, much of the extended Maheswaran family declined their wedding invites. This, Priyanka reasoned, was likely for the best; the last thing her daughter needed on such an important day was the heckling of a bunch of strangers.
The wedding went swimmingly: everyone important showed up, the ceremony had been flawless, the catering was to die for; and, to Priyanka’s immense delight, the bar was fully stocked. After a few glasses of liquid courage, the woman approached Steven, chin raised high. She had intended on confronting the man about his intentions with Connie going forward, but she ended up sobbing on his shoulder instead. The prior months had been tough on her; they made her realize something important: she couldn’t keep pretending the man wasn’t a perfect fit for her daughter.
Priyanka’s first grandchild, Grace Maheswaran-Universe, was born with her help just a few months later. She was the most beautiful baby the woman had ever laid her eyes upon—which was saying something, given she helped deliver infants on a semi-daily basis.
She and Doug would volunteer to babysit the newborn at every opportunity they possibly could. More often than not, however, Greg Universe or the Crystal Gems had already called first dibs.
Still, with the little time she shared with her granddaughter, Priyanka would spoil her absolutely rotten. Her second, third, and fourth grandchildren appreciated the same treatment, no matter how often they toppled her furniture, sent shields soaring through her windows, or granted her produce sentience.

Chapter 1: Bookworms and Delinquents.
Stiles sighed, leaning against his locker. The hall was, like always, overly crowded and he just wanted to get to his next class. He pushed off the locker and began heading toward forensics. He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to glare at whoever had touched him. “What do you want?” He glared at the chemistry teacher.
Mr. Harris sighed. “Mr. Stilinski, you have been warned before, but that hair and jacket are not school appropriate. You are out of dress code, again. This is your final warning. Get a haircut this weekend and do not wear that leather jacket again.”
Stiles scoffed and rolled his eyes. “And what are you going to do if I don’t?” He shifted his backpack higher on his shoulder and shifted his eyes around the hall. “You really should not have the right to tell me how long my hair can be. I’m not even in your class anymore.”
The teacher frowned. “Stilinski, you are out of line. You have been here for 5 years and are well aware of the dress code.” He grabbed the lapel of the jacket and growled at him. “Can’t you just follow the rules for another 2 months? Your hair cannot be below your ears. Get a haircut.”
“Fuck you.” Stiles glared, ripping himself away from the teacher. “Do not touch me.” He shook his head and began running toward the forensics lab. He looked back at Harris and sighed. That man has hated him since the moment he stepped foot in the Beacon Hills Boy’s academy at the start of his secondary education. He cursed as he ran into someone, feeling a stack of books hitting his feet. “Dammit. Sorry I wasn’t looking.” He looked up to see Jackson Whittemore in front of him.”
Jackson coughed and sighed, pushing his glasses back into place. “It is alright.” He bent down to pick up his books. It was his free period, and he had a lot of studying to do. “Um… where were you rushing off so fast?” He blushed as the other man began helping him to pick up the books.
Stiles sighed, handing the nerd a chemistry book. “Away from fucking Harris and his fucking rules.” He closed his eyes as he stood up. The hall was still so fucking crowded and he just wanted to get to his only enjoyable class. His hands shook as he ran his hand through his hair. “I have to go. Sorry again.” He blew out a breath and began running to his class again. Ha barely made it through the door as the bell rang.
Jackson nodded, watching him go. He fixed his stack of books and headed towards the library. He really did not know who the other man was, but they had been sharing classes now for five years. Stiles Stilinski was a complete mystery to all the borders. All anyone knew was that he was one of the few students who did not live on campus. Jackson was the son of the head master and had lived on campus for all twelve years of his formal education. He hardly knew anything about the world outside these walls. He entered the library and waved at the librarian before he claimed his usual table, opening his classical literature book.
📚
“Mieczyslaw!”
“It’s Stiles.” Stiles groaned and turned around to look at the teacher. He had been at this school for 5 years and everyone still refused to use his chosen name. “How may I help you, Professor Martin?
The teacher smiled at him. “I’m sorry, Stiles. I wanted to talk to you about the upcoming trigonometry exam? In Calculus, last year, your work was phenomenal. I cannot say the same this year. If you cannot pull off at least a 90% on your final, I will be forced to fail you. She placed a hand on his shoulder. “You have so much potential Stiles. I would hate to fail you.”
Stiles blew out a long breath and stepped away from her, letting her hand drop. “I’ll try to do better.” He stared around the room, glad that it was empty, except the two of them. “Can I go now? My dad is going to be upset if I am late.”
She nodded and smiled sadly at him. “Yes, please let me know if I can do anything to help.”
“Yeah, sure.” Stiles sighed, running from the room. He almost ran into Jackson again as he escaped, but the other student was able to step out of the way. “Sorry.” He grumbled, rushing to his locker. His father was going to be pissed if he was late again.
Jackson watched him with a frown before turning back to the math professor. “Um, you wanted to talk to me, Professor?”
Mrs. Martin nodded, gesturing to a desk. “Would you like a cup of tea?” She walked over to a table in the corner, putting on an electric kettle. She watched Jackson sit as she gathered her thoughts. “Jackson, you’ve been number one in your class for the last three years, Am I correct?”
Jackson nodded. “Yes please. You are correct ma’am. Right behind your son, Levi, I believe.” He took off his hat, placing it on the desk in front of him. “Is that what this is about?”
She chuckled, shaking her head. “No, Levi is a bit annoyed that he can’t seem to catch up to you, no matter how hard he tries. I imagine that your father puts a lot of pressure on you, but no. That is not what I wanted to talk to you about. I was wondering if you are interested in tutoring a student for me. He is in my basic trigonometry class, and is in danger of failing. I would not like that to happen.”
Jackson blushed and nodded. “I do offer tutoring services. I usually charge $25 and hours. I can fit him in, if he agrees to this.” He smiled as he was handed a cup of tea.
Mrs. Martin nodded and sighed. “You see, the thing is, he is a scholarship student, and I am not sure he can afford to pay for tutoring.” She pulled out a chair and sat in front of the other student. “I asked Levi to tutor him already, but he said he doesn’t have the time.”
Jackson frowned. “Who would I be tutoring?”
“Mr. Stilinski. You just saw him, running out of here.” She sighed. “He’s really a really bright student, but he’s been sliding the last year and a half. I really would like it if he graduated.”
Jackson nodded, looking into his teacup. The leaves floated in the shape of a triangle. He closed his eyes and let out a long sigh. “Can I think about it and get back to you tomorrow? It’s not like I really need the money, but my course load is quite heavy this semester.”
“Of course, Jackson. Finish your tea, and let me know how your own classes are going? How is your father?”
Jackson chuckled, sipping his tea. “My classes are fine. I will be happy to graduate in two months. Dad is fine. He’s a bit overly taxing about me getting into a good college. I’ve been accepted to Oxford, you know.”
She grinned. “That is great. Levi is heading to the States to study at Brown or Harvard. He has not really decided, but I’m quite proud.”
Jackson smiled, nodding. “That’s fantastic. I wish him luck.”
📚
Stiles ran into the police station and knocked on his father’s door. “Come in.” He sighed and opened the door, stepping into the sheriff’s office. “You’re late. Your shift started 5 minutes ago.”
Stiles nodded, placing his book bag behind his desk. “My trig teacher held me behind.” He went to his desk to start sorting the files. He knew his job was not really going to pay for his college but every little bit helped. Although, at the rate he was going, he was not going to get into college.
“That’s one of the classes you’re failing, is it not?” The sheriff looked up at him, as he sighed another form. “What did she want?”
Stiles sighed, slumping in his chair. “Just to remind me that I’m failing. I’m not sure what I am going to do, dad. I have to get at least a 90% on my final.” He chewed his lip, tongue flicking the clear ring he had on the right side. “I hate it. I hate all of it.”
Noah stared at his son and sighed. “Mischief, you are such a bright kid. You were number three in your class until last year. Talk to me.”
Stiles shook his head. “I’ve got it. I’ll figure something out.” He knew that he was worrying his dad, but he really could not talk about how the anxiety was destroying everything about him. “Maybe I just need to spend more time studying. The math is not that hard, it’s just… I don’t know.”
Noah tapped his pen on his desk. “It seems the only class you are excelling in is forensics. That’s all well and good, but you need to do better if you are going to go to college.”
“Maybe I don’t want to go to college.” Stiles huffed.
The man shook his head. “I know that isn’t true. You’ve always loved school. What’s changed?”
“I don’t want to talk about it!” Stiles snapped. “Sod off it.”
The sheriff raised a brow at him. “Do not talk to me like that, Stiles. You know I am on your side. I know you’ll be 18 years old next week, but you are still my friend.” He pushed his paperwork away and walked over to his son, “I know Erica dying hit you hard, but in the last year, I’ve seen you ditch all your friends, change your entire style. Where did you even get that hideous leather jacket?”
Stiles rolled his eyes, letting his head fall back. “It was in a box of mum’s old stuff. I like the way I dress now. Is it so bad?” He picked up a file and placed it into an envelope for outgoing mail. He knew that he was being a bit of an ass but he did not know how to talk to his father anymore. “Just forget it.”
Noah sighed and nodded. “Alright. Go home, today. There is not much for you to do, and you’re still grounded.”
Stiles cursed and grabbed his bag. “Are you going to be home for dinner or am I on my own?”
Noah shrugged. “I’m not sure. It’s been quiet. If I’m not home by 7pm, get some take out.” He frowned as he went to hug his son and he stepped back. “I’ll see you later.”
Stiles nodded as he slung his bag over his shoulder and headed out of the station. He climbed into his jeep and headed to the edge of town where he knew his friends gathered. One of his mates from primary school was sitting on a pile of rubbish as he walked up a hill. “Hey.”
Isaac smiled sadly at him. “Hey.” He tossed him a pack of cigarettes as Stiles sat down next to him. “How are you doing, Stiles?”
Stiles shrugged, lighting a cigarette. “Fine. Dad is getting on my case. My teachers are getting on my case. You know, the usual.” He leaned back, blowing smoke into the air. “I’m going to flunk my maths.”
Isaac shook his head, rolling a joint. “I hope you don’t. You’re the only one who is going to make something of himself and get out of this hell hole.”
Stiles chuckled. “Dad brought up Erica again. You know, she would kick my ass if she saw how bad it’s gotten.”
Isaac nodded. “She’d kick both our asses.” He lit the joint and passed it to Stiles. “Can’t you get a tutor or something?”
Stiles laughed, taking a drag. “Yeah, like I can afford a tutor. I’m lucky I’m on scholarship or I would not be able to afford school.” He looked up at the sky. “I’m lucky grandfather was a legacy or I would have gotten kicked out a long time ago.”
Isaac chuckled. “Not sure your grandfather is the legacy you want to live up to.”
”Yeah, but it got me into one of the best schools in the five counties.” He grinned and laid back as he relaxed into the drug. “Have you heard from Derek?”
“Not since he and Levi broke up last week. I know that he’s going to the States, but Derek would have waited for him.” Isaac sighed. “I’m giving him his space. He’s usually gone before I wake up anyway.”
“Levi has been distant in himself from everyone. He hasn’t even picked up any of my calls.”
“Yeah, but he’s been avoiding you since Erica died.” Isaac sighed, curling into Stiles’s side. “I have something to share. “Allison and I kissed.”
Stiles laughed, wrapping an arm around him. “Isn’t she dating Scott?” He knew that Isaac craved touch more than anything and he was more than happy to provide it. He was one of the few people he trusted anymore.
Isaac chuckled. “Yeah, but they are polyamorous. I really like them.” He took the joint from Stiles and took a drag. “Don’t judge me.”
“I’d never judge you.” Stiles sighed. He was not sure what else he was supposed to say. “I wish Derek and Levi would talk to me. It’s not like I don’t feel guilty enough.”
Isaac sat up and hovered. “Hey, it wasn’t your fault, Stiles. You have got to stop blaming yourself.”
“We would not have even been out there if it weren’t for me, Isaac.” Stiles sighed, closing his eyes. “I drove us out there.”
Isaac caressed his cheek. “Stiles, we all agreed to go out that night. If it were your fault, It was just as much my fault, or Derek’s. He’s just lost since losing someone he thought of as a little sister. He feels like he was supposed to protect her.”
Stiles chuckled, wiping tears from his eyes. “We were all supposed to protect her. I still can’t talk about it, but every time I close my eyes I see her falling. I can’t get through a fucking day without panicking about it.”
Isaac nodded and kissed his forehead. “I know. Look what it is doing to you. I’m the only one who you can stand being around, and I am all kinds of fucked up.” He sighed and laid his head back on his shoulder. “”Maybe you need to go to a counselor.”
Stiles shook his head. “I can’t... I can’t talk about it. Not yet.”
Isaac nodded. “Well, I hope you can before you completely come apart.”
📚
Jackson placed his bag behind his desk and placed his laptop on the surface. He walked over to his bed and fell back, letting out a long sigh. He only had about an hour before he was expected to attend dinner with other boys in his year. He wasn’t sure he wanted to deal with their problems today, but he was head boy. He had a job to do. There was a knock at his door and he groaned as he got up and answered it. “Hello, father.”
“Jackson, my boy. How are you doing tonight?” The man walked into the room and looked around. “Just wanted to talk before we went down to dinner, tonight,”
”I’m alright.” Jackson smiled, taking his glasses off and polishing them. “I’ve already completed my homework, and I was debating getting started on a couple more admissions forms, for oxford.” He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. “What did you want to talk about?”
“Are you sure that Oxford is really where you want to go? You have so many choices.” The headmaster sat on his bed and looked up from him. “Never mind about that though. The librarian was telling me that you are spending all your time in the library? Don’t you want to spend some time with your mates?”
Jackson sighed, sitting at his desk. “I really don’t have a lot of mates, dad. And the ones I do have, we’re all getting ready for finals. I’m too busy studying and tutoring to worry about that right now.”
The man nodded, frowning a bit. “I’m glad to hear you are keeping up with your studies, and helping your fellow classmates, but you need to make more connections outside of class. You cannot get into politics if you do not make the right connections, Jackson.”
“I know, father. It’s not like I don’t already have a seat in the House of Lords.” He wiped his hand over his face. I just… Don’t I have plenty of time?”
Mr. Whittemore sighed. “You would think but you have two months until graduation. These walls cannot protect you forever and I want you to have the best in life.”
“Yes, father.” Jackson smiled at him. He knew that his father meant the best, but the pressure would eventually get to him and he would burn out at the rate he was going. “One of my Professors wants me to take on another student, pro bono.”
The older man grinned. “Great. I’d say you should do it. It would look great on your applications. Who is it? Does he go here? I’m sure that anyone going here could afford to pay, so I assume he goes to another school.”
Jackson groaned, rubbing the back of his neck. “Stiles Stilinski. I asked her to give me the day to think about it.”
“I want you to stay away from that boy.” The headmaster sighed, changing his tone so quickly, it had Jackson jumping slightly. “He is bad news.”
Jackson frowned, shaking his head. “He’s quiet but he doesn’t seem that bad. He was number three in our class until last year. Other than that, no one really knows much about him.”
The headmaster shook his head as he stood and began pacing. “He is part of a gang out of north Beacon Hills. One of them got herself killed last year, and Stilinski went around the bend. He has been caught with drugs on campus, and been arrested for fighting on numerous occasions. The only reason I have not expelled him is that I was friends with his grandfather, and his father is the sheriff.”
Jackson frowned. “I… should you really be telling me this? It seems like he needs someone in his corner.” He pulled out his bag and pulled out a notebook. “It won't hurt to tutor him. If I can get him to pass maths, maybe it’ll help him at least graduate.”
David sighed, rubbing his eyes. “I won’t forbid you from tutoring him, if he agrees to it, but do be careful. Don’t let him talk you into anything dangerous.”
“Yes, father.” Jackson sighed, taking a few notes. We should probably go down to dinner. My responsibilities are waiting.”
“Yes, yes. Let’s go. They are serving my favorite pudding tonight.” He chuckled, squeezing his shoulder.
Jackson nodded as he left the room.
📚
Stiles sat at his desk and opened his forensics book. He looked up and frowned as Mr. Hale wrote out some questions on the white board. “I thought we did not have a final in this class?”
Peter looked at him, sighing. “I had not planned on it, but the headmaster is insisting on it. How are you, Stiles?” The teacher smiled, leaning against his desk. “How is my nephew?”
Stiles looked down at his notebook and shook his head. “He is not talking to me right now. He’s not really talking to anyone since he and Levi broke up.” He leaned back and placed his feet on the desk. He wiped away a tear. “It’s alright. I think he just needs time.”
Peter nodded and winked at him. “You all are going to be alright, Stiles. Are you coming over later?”
Stiles chuckled. “I’m grounded, remember? Dad still is pissed about the pcp.” He rolled his eyes and chewed his lip. “Once Derek comes out of hibernation, I’ll let him know you asked about him.”
Peter nodded, sitting on his desk. “I should talk to the sheriff. You’ve been grounded for months.” He looked at his watch. They still had a few minutes before the class would start trickling in. “Chris and I don’t see you anymore. And you know how much Allison loves you.”
Stiles smirked at him. “You see me everyday, Mr. Hale.” He rolled his eyes. “And Isaac keeps me up to date on how Allison and Scott are doing.” He swirled his pen through his fingers. “I miss Chris too, but you don’t need to talk to dad. I think it’ll just piss him off more.”
Peter nodded. “Well, we’ll be having a dinner party this weekend. Chris would love to see you. Maybe he would let you go for the night, hmm? I can get you some really good cocaine and watch the new movie you wanted to watch.”
Stiles groaned. “Fine, I’ll ask him if I can go. I’m sure I can convince him that my favorite teacher invited me to a dinner party.” He chuckled, shaking his head. “Will Scott and Allison be there?”
“Of course.” Peter smiled, bowing his head. “And Cora, Boyd, and Isaac are coming. I just wish I could get a hold of Derek.” He shrugged. “He’s really torn up, isn’t he?”
Stiles nodded, pursing his lips. “That’s what I hear.” He looked up as the students started entering the class. “I’ll talk to my dad and call you.” He grabbed Peter’s attendance book and started marking off names.
Peter nodded as he hopped off his desk and began getting ready to teach his class.
Jackson walked into the class and smiled at Peter. “Mr. Hale, could I borrow Stiles, please?”
Peter nodded and motioned for Stiles to get up from grading papers. “Take your stuff with you.”
Stiles sighed and grabbed his backpack, following Jackson out of the room. “What do you want?”
Jackson sighed, leading him out to the courtyard. “Sorry, this is my only free period and Mrs. Martin asked me to talk to you.” He led him to the fountain and sat on a bench. “Please, have a seat.”
Stiles licked his lips and rolled his eyes as he sat beside Jackson. “Let me guess, she wants her golden boy to talk to me… find out why I gave up in her class. I know she wants me to stay away from Levi.”
Jackson raised a brow at him and sighed. “No, actually she asked Levi to help you first, but he doesn’t have the time.” He pulled out a calendar from his bag and smiled at the other man, adjusting his glasses. “She just wants to know if you would be interested in me tutoring you until the final. If I’m correct, you need at least a 90.”
Stiles chuckled, pulling a pack of cigarettes from his pocket. He lit one and leaned back on the bench. “No thank you. I know how much you tutors cost and I can’t afford it. I don’t want to hang around anyone that I don’t have to. I can’t be bothered.”
Jackson frowned, wanting to tell the other student off for the cigarette. “I will not be charging you, if that is your only reasonable objection. It would only be an hour after school. I just want to help.”
Stiles rolled his eyes, looking the man over. “You want to help? Why would the headmaster’s precious son want to help me?” He took a drag of his cigarette and looked away from him. “Why would Professor Martin put you up to this? I nearly destroyed her little girl.”
Jackson cursed, and slammed his date book on the bench. “There is no reason for you to be rude. You know Levi prefers he/ him pronouns, and is a man.”
Stiles chuckled sadly. “Yes, I was one of the first people he came out to. I helped him pick the name Levi. He was one of my best friends until last year. Do not tell me about Levi. I fucking know all about Levi.” He tossed his cigarette and stood up. “You can take your tutoring and shove it up your arse. I’ll study on my own.”
Jackson reached out and took his hand. “Please…”
Stiles ripped his hand away. “Do not fucking touch me.”
Jackson licked his lips, pulling his hands back, folding them in his lap. “I just want to help, Stiles. I can’t begin to fathom what happened between you and Levi, but I won't ask. I am just here to help you through your maths, and any other subject you might be having trouble with.”
Stiles stood there, holding his hands behind his back. He felt terrible for snapping at Jackson, but he had stepped a little too far over the line. “I have a job. Let me talk to my dad about staying after school to study.” He turned and began walking away.
“I always have this hour free. You can find me at the library.” Jackson called out to him.”
Stiles nodded and waved at him before disappearing back into the school.
📚
Stiles walked into his dad’s office and sighed as he plopped on top of his desk. “Hey, daddio.”
Noah sighed, looking up at his son. “What are you doing here? You have today off.” He pushed his paperwork away, folding his hands on the desk. “And no you cannot go out tonight.”
Stiles groaned, folding his legs up on his desk. “One, the dinner party is Saturday and I was invited by one of my teachers. Just think about it. Two, I needed to ask you about staying after school to study. Mrs. Martin arranged a tutor for me. But you can say no. I know I have a job, and…”
“Stiles. You’re fired.” Noah smiled. “I want you to study.” The sheriff raised a brow at him. “And let me guess, this teacher is Peter Hale, the uncle of Derek Hale.”
Stiles frowned at him. “You can’t fire me. I need the money for college. And you like Peter. It’s just one dinner party and don’t you think I’ve been grounded long enough?”
“We’ll talk about college later.” The sheriff sighed. “Peter is fine, but you were arrested for carrying angel dust, Stiles. Do you know how dangerous that drug is?” He ran a hand through his hair and shook his head. “Who else is going?”
”Cora, Boyd, Isaac, Scott, and Allison.” Stiles grinned at him. “We’re trying to get Derek to go, but we can’t get a hold of him.”
“Fine, you can go, but I want you to come directly home.” The sheriff smiled at him. “If you are lying to me about this party, you’ll be grounded until you graduate. Do you understand me?”
“I swear. It’s on the level, pops.” He grinned. “Now about the job? Because I really need the money.”
The sheriff sighed. “You have not applied to one college, Stiles. You need to graduate, and I would rather the money go to a tutor than your cigarettes. Don’t think I don’t know you’ve been smoking.”
Stiles chewed his lip. “He’s not charging me. It’s not like it’s illegal to smoke.”
“Then what is the problem? Please, just take his help.” Noah chuckled. “For you it is. You are 17 for another week.”
Stiles groaned. “It’s no big deal. Can we not argue about that? I do not want to hang out with Jackson Whittemore for an hour a day.”
The sheriff raised a brow at him. “Jackson? The headmaster’s son? I don’t think you can turn this opportunity down, Stiles. He is a good kid, and he will make sure you pass your classes. Do you want to spend another year in high school? If you repeat a year, you’ll have to go back to Beacon Hills High school. Beacon Hill’s school for Boys has been amazing for you. You don’t want to screw that up.”
“Pops. I… How do I put this? He is posh in carnet. He is bred for politics.” Stiles sighed. “I could just study harder, and ignore all that.”
Noah shook his head. “If you want me to lift your punishment, you’ll start studying with Jackson. I’m sorry, Mischief. Those are my terms.”
Stiles cursed. “Fine, but I am going out with Isaac tonight.”
His father nodded. “Fine. Be home by 10. I would like to not worry about you tonight. Please don't come home smelling like pot.”
Stiles grinned, hopping down from the desk. “Thanks daddio. I promise that I won’t do any drugs tonight. Just a few drinks.” He chuckled running out of the office.
“You’re under age.” The sheriff grumbled. “Dammit. Don’t drink and drive.”
📚
Stiles chuckled, tossing back a shot of tequila. “Isaac, I swear. My dad is all hung up on this tutor thing. I have to spend an entire hour a day with Jackson fucking Whittemore,”
Isaac sighed, sitting in his lap. The club was not very crowded on a Thursday night and they both were feeling a bit loose at the moment. He leaned his head on his shoulder. “It’s only an hour. You will survive.” He took a sip of his beer. “Jackson can’t be that bad. We don’t know him and you are jumping to conclusions.”
Stiles chuckled, wrapping his arm around his waist. “Yeah, I really don’t know much about him, but he is the headmaster’s son, and a complete nerd. You should have seen him today when he offered to tutor me.” He rested his chin on Isaac’s head. “We are from two different worlds.”
“You’re not dating him, Stiles. You are just studying.” Isaac smirked as he squirmed in his arms. “Your dad is right, Stiles. You don’t want to flunk out of school.” He kissed his chin. “You’ve got this, babe.”
Stiles nodded. He ran a hand through Isaac’s hair and sighed. A man walked by them and grumbled something about the club going to hell with fags. Stiles growled at him and stood up, placing Isaac back in the chair. “You got a problem with us?”
The man smirked, getting in his face. “This club does not need faggots stinking up the place.”
Stiles laughed loudly. “Trust me, this place does not help stinking up the place. You are doing a pretty good job yourself.” He pushed the man back. “Just go on your way and let us enjoy our night.”
“Did you just push me?” The man growled, pushing him back.
Isaac stood up. “Come on guys. Let’s just go our own separate ways.”
“Sit down, Isaac.” Stiles growled, glaring at the asshole in front of him. “I’ve got this taken care of.” He knew that Isaac hated violence, but he would not allow anyone to push them around. ”You think you can come in here and be a homophobic asshole? Where do get the fucking balls? Cause from where I’m standing you’ve got none.”
The man cursed and threw a punch at him. Stiles laughed as he ducked and punched the man in the stomach. About five minutes later Stiles had been thrown into the table and the man was being pulled off him. Isaac helped Stiles up as the bouncer began throwing all three of them out of the club. Isaac sighed, glaring at Stiles. “You just could not let it go, for once? they just let us come back to this place and we’re going to get banned again.”
Stiles sighed, wiping blood from his lip. “You are so used to letting people push you around.” He took the other man’s hand and began walking back to his Jeep. “You’re driving. I have had too much to drink.”
Isaac rolled his eyes and sighed. “You can’t fight every asshole who insults you.” He took the keys to the jeep and helped Stiles into the passenger side. “I’m sleeping over, and you should get some ice on that eye.”
“Yeah, I’m sure dad will be cool with that.” Stiles sighed, leaning back in his seat.
📚
Stiles groaned, sitting across from Jackson, “Fine, I’ll let you tutor me. My dad seems to think it’ll be good for me.” He glared at the man sitting across the table.
Jackson frowned, looking the kid over. “What happened to your face?” That was probably a bit rude but he was not really sure what else to say.
Stiles chuckled, pulling out his trigonometry book. “It was nothing but a little bar fight. Some homophobic asshole. Trust me, he got the worst of it.”
Jackson nodded, opening his lap top. “Oh, I did not know you were gay. That’s cool I guess.” He blushed, bringing up his notes. He had no idea what he was saying. This was not a topic that he knew a lot about. He went out with a few girls but he just did not have time for dating and he never could find a connection with anyone. “So… should we get started?”
“I’m not gay. I’m just an equal opportunity lover.” Stiles smirked, winking at him. He chuckled as he pulled out his notebook. “I suppose. I think we have a practice test monday. I wasn’t really paying much attention yesterday.”
Jackson's blush deepened. “Um…okay. Maybe that is your problem, paying attention in class.” He smiled, pulling out five notebooks. “These are my notes from when I took Trig, last year.”
Stiles frowned, leafing through the notebooks. “This is like 3000 pages of notes. Do you want me to write a textbook?“
Jackson chuckled. “It’ll help you learn trigonometry.” He shook his head and sighed. “Maybe I could break it down for you a bit more.” He looked at the notes flipping to the section Stiles class was currently studying. “This is the bit that you need for the test on Monday.”
Stiles rolled his eyes and began reading over the notes. “I know all of this, I just can’t seem to remember it when I take the tests. Honestly, I’ve never been this bad at tests before.” He looked up at Jackson. “Do you think you can just give me the answers?”
Jackson gasped, shaking his head. He pushed his glasses back up his nose and sighed. “That is not exactly how this works, Stiles. That would be cheating. You’re never going to learn if I give you the answers.”
“But you have them, don’t you?” Stiles smirked, twirling his pencil between his fingers. “I can make it worth your wild.”
Jackson closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose. He could not believe this guy had ever been any sort of competition for him. “Mrs. Martin gives the same test every year, but I am not going to just give you the answers.” He looked up at Stiles. “Why don’t I just let you read over the notes for the weekend and I’ll quiz you before her class, Monday.”
“No can do, baby doll. I have a party tomorrow night.” He smiled. “There has to be a way for us to come to some sort of agreement?”
“If you are not going to take this seriously, I don’t know why I am going to waste my time.” Jackson growled at him. He rarely lost his temper but this kid was really starting to get on his nerves. “I know that you are capable of passing this class, Stiles.”
“You know nothing about me, Whittmore.” Stiles scoffed and closed the notebook. “You’re right. We don’t need to waste either of our time.” He gathered his books and stood up, ready to leave. “Fuck you.”
Jackson sighed, rolling his eyes. “Let me talk to Mrs. Martin and see if we can’t reschedule your test and you can study here Monday instead.”
Stiles glared at him for a moment before letting his shoulders drop. “Fine. Why don’t we try one more time?”
Jackson licked his lips and nodded. “You have to really commit here, Stiles. I won’t sell you the answers, but if we buckle down, I can guarantee that I’ll have you pass your final.”
Stiles slumped in his seat and nodded. “Give me the bloody notes.”
📚
Jackson sighed and threw his bag under his desk. He laid on his bed and looked at the ceiling. Once he had broken down the test with Stiles, the tutoring had gone a lot smoother. He could not understand Stiles Stilinski. He was smart, but he had zero work ethic. He took off his classes and closed his eyes. He had developed a bit of a headache and he just wanted to go to bed.
There was a knock on his door and he groaned as he got up. He answered the door and smiled. “Hey, Levi.”
Levi smiled at him. “Jackson… Can we have a little talk?”
Jackson nodded, gesturing for him to come in. “Of course, Levi. You are always welcome.” He went and pulled out a chair for him before sitting on the bed. “What did you want to talk about?”
Levi sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “My mum is so excited about me going across the pond for college. I have the opportunity to go to Brown or Harvard. I should be excited right?”
Jackson nodded. “But you’re not?”
“… Did your dad ever tell you what happened a year and a half ago? Levi sighed. “It was right before I came out.”
Jackson shook his head. “He told me the other night that Stiles got your friend killed,”
Levi shook his head. “It wasn’t Stiles’s fault. He blames himself, and he really went off the rails about it. He started pushing us all away. Anyway, he had just gotten his license and we all went out partying. We went out to the preserve… and up to the cliffs.” Levi licked his lips. “We got so drunk, and Erica tripped. She fell so far. Stiles blames himself because he suggested we go out to the preserve and he got ahold of the beer.”
Jackson chewed his lip. “He could not have predicted that would happen. Why are you telling me all this?”
Levi sighed. “I don’t want to leave with all of us still so distant. I broke up with Derek because of all of this. We’ve been dating for four years and I dumped him because I could not handle the pressure anymore. I mean I’ll be leaving and I don’t want to make him wait for me. I did not tell my mum that I also got into Oxford. Maybe I should stay here.”
“That is completely up to you, Levi. It seems like you have a lot to think about.” Jackson smiled and took his hand. “I suggest you talk to your friends though. I think Stiles really needs help, Levi.”
“I know.” Levi groaned. “We used to be such good friends and I feel like I let him down because I was going through so much. I feel like a terrible friend.” He felt like he was really letting everyone down.
“You’re not terrible.” Jackson smiled. “You were hurting too. All you can do is reach out and try to make things right now. Now, about the three colleges…” Jackson chuckled. “Your mom will be happy with whichever you choose. She is so proud of you.”
Levi nodded. “I guess I’ll call Stiles. Allisoon said something about a party tomorrow night. Do you want to come?”
Jackson shrugged, shaking his head. “No, I wasn’t invited, and I would hate to intrude.”
Levi laughed. “I’m inviting you and you would not be intruding. It’s at Professor Hale’s house. He’s married to Allison’s father and they throw dinner parties all the time. Mr. Argent always says the more the merrier.”
Jackson smiled, rubbing the back of his neck. The only parties he had ever attended were business functions for his father. “If you’re sure. Should I bring anything?”
Levi shook his head. “No, just yourself. I’ll text you the address, and I’ll let Mr. Hale know you are coming.
Jackson grinned at him. “Thank you for the invitation, then. I would love to come.” He chewed his lip. “Can you tell me a little more about Stiles… He confuses me.”
Levi raised an eyebrow at him. “I really don’t know who he is anymore. He used to be my best friend. Now he does nothing but drink, party and fight.” He chuckled softly. “He’s pretty hard to forget, isn’t he. He gets under your skin. “ Levi smirked.
Jackson sighed. “I just feel like he doesn’t want to rise to his potential.”
“Oh, he doesn’t, Jackson. He is on a path of self destruction. I wish I could tell you differently. I’m just glad my mum has been keeping an eye on him when I couldn’t.”
Jackson chewed his lips. “If you say so. Your mum has me tutoring him. She said you did not have the time.”
Levi gaped at him. “She never asked me, actually. I guess I can see why. We haven’t really talked in so long. Isaac is the only one who really talks to him anymore.”
“Isaac?” Jackson smiled, putting his feet on the bed.
Levi nodded. “His father was the swim coach, but he is in prison now.” He blushed softly. “Isaac doesn’t really like to talk about it, but Mr. Lahey used to beat him and lock him in an old freezer. Derek found Isaac in the freezer and reported it. Derek’s mom Talia took Isaac in.” Levi sighed, curling up in the chair. “Don’t tell him I told you that.”
Jackson nodded. “I knew Coach Lahey went to prison, but I never knew why. Don’t worry. I won’t say anything.”
“But Stiles never stopped being there for Isaac, and he was the same for Stiles.” Levi smiled. “I don’t think anything could break the two apart, but Stiles gets him into so much trouble.”
Jackson sighed, nodding. “Sounds like they’ve had a hard time.”
“But that is no reason to self-destruct.” Levi groaned “Stiles got himself arrested for angel dust. How stupid is that?” He looked around the room sighing. “He’s so stubborn. He would not even let his father know where he got it. He’d hate it so much if he knew that I know all this, but the Sheriff gives me updates.” Levi sighed, wiping his eyes.
Jackson shrugged. “You sound like you really care for him.”
Levi chuckled through his tears. “I love him. He is still my best friend.”
Jackson smiled. “Must be nice. I’ve never really had that.”
Levi blushed. “I thought we were friends.”
“Oh, I… I guess we are. I mean, I like that you feel comfortable enough to confide in me.”
Levi nodded. “You’re a good listener. All the boys in this house think so.”
Jackson shrugged. “It’s not hard to offer an open ear.”
Levi chuckled. “You are so weird.”
“Thanks… I think.” Jackson laughed. “So, there is a party tomorrow. What should I wear?”
Levi grinned evilly. “Oh, you have to let me pick out your outfit.”

Another WIP Wednesday - another (raw, unedited, unbeta'd) snippet of my upcoming release - The Chase, which is a follow-up to my debut fic on here - The Hunted.
*****NSFW SNIP BELOW*****
One afternoon last month he entered a small room in a dump outside of Lafayette, LA, where the guest complained the door wouldn’t lock properly. Without even needing the masterkey, he entered the empty room and was overwhelmed with the feminine smell that hit him immediately. An open suitcase laid on the bed, items of clothing draped along the side. A bottle of perfume, hand lotion, and lip gloss sat on the dresser next to the TV. Each item his eyes landed on was more tempting than the last.
How badly he wanted to snatch a piece of clothing, to pocket the perfume, to leave the lock unfixed so he could return to the room later and put his hands around the throat of the woman who was staying there. It took every ounce of self control to only fix the lock and leave empty-handed. He couldn’t give into his urges. He couldn’t draw any attention. He couldn’t risk you hearing about his lapse in judgment.
He checked out of the hotel that very day and drove into Mississippi to escape the scent of the room with the now-fixed lock. You were on his mind the entire drive. He hadn’t thought about you that much in a long time. But as he laid in his tent in the growing dark, his mind was consumed by you. He couldn’t remember what you smelled like, but he imagined. He barely got the chance to touch your skin last time, but he fantasized. He definitely recalled what you felt like; the weight of you bouncing on his lap, the wetness of your cunt. Your moans played on repeat in his mind as he, not for the first time, fucked his fist while dreaming of fucking you again.
As his cum spills over his hand, he wonders if this delusion will ever come true. Will he get to fuck you again? Will he want to? Will you want to? What will happen if you catch him? Sex might be the last thing on your mind. You’re fucking crazy. You might just kill him. He might not even see it coming.
I'm so excited for this next part, I am working on it and am aiming to get it out in under a week. Thank you so much for all the love and support on The Hunted.
No pressure tags to some writers I am really really enjoying lately (xoxo love you all!) @iamasaddie @wannab-urs @atticrissfinch @missannwinchester @beskarandblasters @xdaddysprincessxx

writing woes: may
in general
I decided that this month I needed take a break from my current stories and set those aside for a bit. Instead, I did quite a bit of outlining for longer, future (hopefully mid-long term) projects, often accompanied by writing a bit of them as well. I haven't decided yet but I might end up sharing some excerpts, beginning this month, as part of WIP Wednesday or what have you. Just Because.
original fiction
I mostly did some outlining for "The Leech of Wonderland" (a dark spin on historical and paranormal romance told in epistolary form), and for "Chasing Fanny" (toxic yuri love triangle between a private dick with some medium talents, the femme fatale who once seduced her and betrayed her, and a sob sister with journalistic aspirations who becomes interested in their stories, set in the late 30s). I intend for them to be, respectively, my July Camp Nano and my NaNoWriMo projects. They both used to belong to a larger universe, but I decided they worked best as independent stories. Ideally I'd want to keep them short-ish, but I fear the first one might get away from me if I'm not careful lol.
I also pondered a lot over "The Redstart's Ledger", a longer original series. It tells the story of Latoya and her band of misfits, who I've mentioned before. I've decided the first installment will be my 2025 project, once I'm done with the first draft of "Underground Elysium" (whose first act is done! Now the other four, starting this month).
fanfic
I was kind of all over the place on this front lol. I made a lot of additions to my outline files for plenty of WIPs, mainly the Jason Survives AU series, but also my Damibats future fic, the Jaytim ghost story, and the Jason & Dick Prison Break not-an-AU.
I also wrote scenes here and there for the amnesiac!Jason WIP and even had the sudden impulse to touch some old, semi abandoned projects (one about Natasha Stark, the genderswapped version of Tony Stark from Earth-3490; another about the Wayward Sisters, mainly focused on Claire and Bela; and at last, my vampire!John Silver idea). It was fun to switch things up.
For this month... I have a few complications this upcoming week in my personal life, so I'm going to keep it lowkey by focusing on the kissing prompts in my inbox. After that, business as usual: the young justice cartoon wip, Underground Elysium's next act, and maybe one wild-card if I have the time.
