It would be perfect, Castlevania is just top tier, the designs, the ost, the art style, it's chef kiss, when i watch it for the first time I thought about vc getting an adaptation like this, the books has so many things you can't make real people do, even if is just acting and fiction, because it's weird, uncomfortable and well, traumatic, and nobody wants to see that, just no (we would feel like this in any media of course, but at least it wouldn't be with real people) if people want a faithful adaptation, then animation it's the only way, them being drawings would fix all of that and imagine how ridiculous they could be with the outfits and locations? Man i would give my all to see this

King Lear, Antony and Cleopatra, Macbeth

Ahahaahhh why have you chosen my favorite plays I am in PAINNNN :’) (but also thank you for keeping me entertained while I am quarantined in bed)

Burn: Antony and Cleopatra. I’d like to preface this with the fact that I adore this play and it’s one of my favorites. (That’s probably because I was the only English Major in my honors class and I was just totally out here for discussing Shakespeare with a bunch of science majors). But also like.... Antony? He’s the one Shakespeare character that I would like to fight. I just really don’t like him. He just... fills me with seething rage, ya know? (To balance that out I adore Octavius).

Read: Macbeth. Okay, so I have such a new found appreciation for this play after I’ve seen it performed live that I just want to dive back into the text all over again so I can find those little nuance moments that get me so excited about working with a play. I’m fascinated by the psychological side of literature and this play has so much to explore in Macbeth’s character alone. Very excited to dive back into this play because it’s been a little while.

Rewrite: King Lear. I mean, I’m already kind of doing this already? Or at least trying to a little bit? What got me into this rewrite was actually through music and how music was used in the play, only to find that there’s only one scene with actual music! (4.7.) It feels like a much more musical play than it is. And with my love for looking at the psychological aspect of literary characters (especially younger literary characters), I was attracted to Edgar and his story like a magnet. Out of all of the self-preservation techniques out there, why choose to be a mad-man? (There’s a line in TEP where Edgar tells Albany to get naked and stand on the table because he’s like insanity helps you forget all the bad stuff and Albany is like Edgar stop no). And now that I’ve got a clear direction with this whole project, I’m so excited to dive in further (once I finish with Selby Roses ahhh).
