I feel there's something to be said about how Nico's platonic love is coalesced into his PoVs so beautifully: worrying about the seven after his talk with Hades at the chapel of bones, his bonding and relationship with Reyna, that bit towards the end of BoO where he has a moment with Hazel (Frank too), and Jason the next morning...It was all so sweet and wholesome.

On the other hand, I feel that romantic love didn't really cut it in Nico's case. That "I love Percy" text wall in his PoV felt very...off to me.

And don't even ask me about that messy gag with will solace in late BoO; that was OoC as heck. ToA was just as bad, and when there was a chance to cover up for it through tSatS, the ball was dropped. It seems writing Nico with romantic feelings just doesn't really work.

It's almost as if platonic love is the heart and soul of Nico's character, but his inclination towards romantic/physical feelings and relationships is born out of allonormativity more than anything.

I'd actually love to see an AU where he's an oriented aroace.

That being said, this is just a personal opinion, and sorry if it seemed offensive.

He was all giddy and smiley and SO love-stricken, it’s the highest compliment he could receive, especially from Pen, and all he can do is smile in return, like my guy, we can see you blushing 🥹✨

Ronin kept his eyes on you as you paced the room. Your chest practically aching from two weeks ago. But at least it was better than it was when you got the surgery. But you had to admit, Ronin had been the best partner in this situation.

He had helped you inject your T, supported you during your dysphoria days, turning off the lights in the bathroom for you when he knew as well. It was nice for a change how sweet he was being and how supportive he was this entire time. Even when you came out, all he did was laugh and say how silly it was for you to keep this from HIM out of all people. It was hilarious now that you thought of it…

Suddenly, you were snapped out of your thoughts by his voice.

“Hey, lay down. Jesus, you’re going to get hurt that way.”

You look over at him, brows furrowed as you nodded and made your way to bed. Laying down on your back with a satisfied groan and a soft hum.

“Thanks… I was kind of-“

“Spacing out? No shit. C’mon, let’s get you ready.”

You smile as he helps you take off your loose fitting shirt, eyeing your bandages with a look that screamed care and worry. When he didn’t find anything wrong with the compression bandages ( ones that he had put on simply thirty minutes ago ), he only nodded and laid you back down fully.

Ronin raised your head with another pillow, his eyes narrowing to see your expression and hummed in satisfaction when he noticed you were already drifting off.

“Fuckin’ adorable…”

He slid your blanket to cover you up, gently placing a kiss against your forehead with a soft expression.

“I love you my darlin’.”

So like...

I know that Sonic assuming that Nine would just do what he wants is bad, specially since part of his reasoning came from thinking he would be and act just like Tails would...but.

You can still see that Sonic was actually pretty excited to have Nine in Green Hill, at the point in time of those screenshots Sonic thought that Nine was fine going to live in Green Hill, there was no reason (from his pov) to convince him that living in GH would be great. To me at least it reads as Sonic being really excited about not just getting his world and friends back (which obviously he would be happy about) but also about Nine being there with them specifically.

He talks about meeting Tails, having fun together in green hill...like, dude really just adopted the kid. They were family now, no questions asked.

They fell in love from ages 12-16(?). That's so cute. What the hell. I just randomly starting thinking about it like it's just some show I just heard about or something and I'm like "aw cute trope". What a cute trope wtf. That's adorable. Two twelve year old boys in the 80s and they fall in love over the course of many years as they grapple with internalized homophobia and homophobia in their small town? That sounds like a GREAT show where can I watch it? That's adorable.

Mike and Will are in love. And...that's just the premise. That's just the premise of their plot. If you came up to me after you watched episode 1 for spoilers and you were like "What happens to Lucas? Dustin? Mike? That girl they found? The kid who went missing?" I could just be like "Dustin gains confidence and becomes besties with Mike's sister's boyfriend after they break up, Lucas meets this girl who's introduced next season and they're really good for each other, the girl gets adopted by the police chief and then into the Byers and has a great found family and independence arc, and the boy who went missing survives and he and Mike fall in love!"

And that'd just be like...right. I'd just be telling you what happens.
