✧ Mr. Leech hires Mama Rosehearts to be your personal tutor, in which you're then introduced to her highly intelligent son Riddle. The two of you become friends; you're just trying to network, but to Riddle you're the best thing ever and one of his first friends. The twins hate this development.

✧ Mama Ashengrotto dotes on you SO MUCH. It embarrasses Azul, but his mother can't help it. She just thinks you're so darling and so kind to her Azul, something she appreciates greatly. Originally Azul had no interest in you, so she was responsible for coordinating meetings for the two of you.

✧ Mama Leech is especially fond of you. You're her only daughter, so of course she's pleased to bond with you more. She likes having mother-daughter days with you, where the two of you can dress up and have breakfast or sit in the gardens and read together. No boys allowed. The twins tried to sneak into the last mother-daughter outing and were promptly sent away. T_T they try to spy and are always caught. While she's happy that her boys want to spend time with you, she also wants to have one-on-one time with you as well! You can come to her if you have any issues; she'll always listen, and sometimes she worries that her boys aren't being nice. She makes sure they treat you with kindness all the time.

✧ Papa Leech has a soft spot for you. He treats you as if you're his own daughter. Anything you want you'll have, whether it's a dress or a necklace or, strangely, brass knuckles???? He's not sure why you want them, but you tell him they look cool (the truth is that you're getting them so you can ultimately prepare for the bad ending should that ever happen LOL). He gets them, but he makes you promise to only ever use them for self-defense purposes. Floyd thinks it's so unfair that his father spoils you so much when you aren't even related by blood. >:/

✧ After your engagement to Azul, the twins have seemed much more invested in your life than they were before. They're also very handsy. You shake them off, but your scowl has yet to deter them. They just seem like you're annoying brothers to you, but the truth is they're trying to keep you from bonding with Azul. Azul didn't really care about this at first, but now he feels oddly annoyed and jealous whenever he sees the way they interact with you.

✧ Floyd acts like he doesn't like you, but he's so bad at hiding his very obvious affections for you. He gets flustered whenever his parents dress you up for nice events. You just look so pretty and sweet in your dress. He prevents anyone from getting too close to you at these social events by constantly hovering by your side. Somehow Azul always manages to steal you away when he's also in attendance at these events.

✧ Jade has a collection of items stowed away in an unlabeled box. They are things he's collected over the years and would like to give to you: a pretty stone, a bracelet, a charm, a hair accessory, dried flowers, etc. Though he's good at seeming indifferent and cool, he gets really flustered over the idea of presenting you these courtship gifts. So he pays attention to your tastes as they change throughout the years he's known you, and he buys or makes a little present for you for every year. <3

A Happy Family

A/n: AAAA THIS IS SUCH A CUTE IDEA!! This was so fun to write! For plot purposes, in this fic, Stella and Stolas had the divorce already when Via was a kid. Hope you enjoy!! :D

You were nervous to say the least. You were about to meet Octavia, Stolas’ daughter. You knew a lot about her already from how much Stolas talked about her. She seemed to be really sweet and on one hand, you were excited to finally meet the little owlette. On the other hand, you were afraid that she wouldn't like you. Stolas’ encouragement definitely helped you feel a bit better. As you entered the castle, you had only one goal: make a good first impression. Stolas wrapped his arm around your waist and led you to the living room, where an adorable purple-haired owl demon sat on the couch. Her eyes lit up when she saw you and waved enthusiastically. 

“Octavia, this is Y/n!” Stoals gestured toward you calmly. You smile and wave back at her, trying to hide how much you were internally panicking. 

“Woah! They're pretty!” She said. Your goal had been achieved! Now all that's left to do is go to Looloo Land and just have fun with your fiance and future daughter. Via watched in excitement as Stolas opened a portal right in front of the gate to her favorite theme park. The rest of the day was spent going on rides, playing super rigged carnival games (which frustrated Stolas to the point where he asked you to take Via elsewhere for a few minutes while he threatened the annoying man running the game), and eating a ton of sugar. When you returned to the castle, Via immediately hugged you.

“Y/n, can I call you Mom?” You hugged her back and held back tears of joy 

“Of course!” As the cute moment continued, you suddenly heard a camera click. You both turn your heads to see Stolas teary eyed with a smile on his face and a camera in his hand. This was a new page in the story and the start of a happy family .

i CANNOT stop thinking about musical falls. GENUINELY. it rotted my brain. SO! i've spent a bit of time doodling and coming up with ideas for how BILL would be presented on stage.

firstly, we have 2-D Bill/Pre-Weirdmageddon Bill. the idea i had for this form is that we'd use a spotlight tinted with a yellow gel and on top of that there'd be a gobo (stencil) of Bill's triangular form.

(examples of how that'd look onstage)

pros- spotlights can effortlessly move around stage without physically interfering with actors, also it mirrors how in the show, he's limited to the mindscape and how he doesn't have a physical form yadda yadda yadda (you get my idea)

cons- not much movement/expression. also kind of a disembodied voice? Bill is very expressive so it'd be hard to showcase something like that on a cut out stencil of him.

ANOTHER IDEA (i just had now as i'm writing this): Bill projection !!

so, it'd be a projected image of Bill which would be able to be animated so THAT solves the issue of the previous idea. plus i'm sure there'd be a way to move the projection around the stage if needed.

uhhh anyways !! back to my original ideas !!!!

obviously everything i've just mentioned is for 2-D Bill, but HERE is where it gets exciting. when Bill gains his physical form during Weirdmageddon.

so, when Bill gains a physical form, i had 3 ideas:

IDEA 1- Lin Manuel Miranda as Bill.

now, in my previous post about musical falls, i was kind of /j ing the idea, but i think it'd be genuinely hilarious. imagine this, duing the whole musical, bill is this 2-dimensional projection, kinda eerie. makes you think "how is he gonna look once he gains a physical body?" then BOOM its Lin Manuel Miranda. obviously his costume would be a waistcoat and jacket combo (something similar to how i drew him in my past post) but yeah. that's really the only reason. it'd be funny. idk.

IDEA 2- Puppet Bill.

this Bill would be more canon-accurate, still in his triangle form, except he'd be puppeted by someone. now, this comes with the same problem as gobo-bill. LACK OF EXPRESSION. he's stuck to one emotion/"facial" expression. (also i have no idea how puppets work. if anyone with more knowledge than me wants to add on/constructively criticise, you're welcome to!) i didn't really expand/think too much about this idea either soooo.....

IDEA 3 (my favourite)-

drag. bill.

i really like this idea. now, i'm no costume designer, nor do i do drag (so apologies if i've gotten anything wrong) but i think this would be something really cool to see on stage. the shape language of the costume, alongside a gorgeous makeup look, AS WELL as it being a real person acting, really feels like a good direction to go in, as it would allow full movement, gestures, and expressions !! (hooray!!) also i really need to see an awesome Bill-inspired drag look onstage. it'd be awesome.

this is all for fun as i KNOW this won't ever become an IRL stage production (probably) but a guy can dream. i just had so much fun coming up with ideas for the heck of it sooo !!!

1-2) Helper started to make Layra cute bentos, oftenly trying to come up with something creative and fun. He even makes entire “paintings” of space out of food.🌌🍎🌽

3) This two in my head have lots of nicknames for one another and it seems that they are always trying to come up with the new ones! Layra oftenly likes to call him: sharky, piranha, Colly, old man, granpa, Mr. Thorn🌲

4) They protect me from stress and horror of university, phphphph. The best protection team👏👊

5)Layra is really touchy kid and likes to express her love by hugging, running at them at full speed, jumping on top of them from high places, climbing on them, jumping into their arms, etc. Over time, Helper and Collector became accustomed to this behavior.

6) Just how my interactions with an c.ai of Collector goes, lol. xд

7) I have been thinking about how everyone else looked like in Collector's original universe and what theme it had and decided to draw how I see Julie in it. In my head, she is a craftswoman who likes to come up with different games and toys, which often require wit and logic. But I would love to hear more about Collector's backstory actually!!👀

8) I'm on my Willy Wonka hyperfixation again, help. And I just got to know that there's a musical (how did I live my life without knowing!?) and I love it with all my heart!! I love his voice there soooo much! The way it changes all the time and is so expressive, aaaa!! And I can't stop imagining Collector with his voice after listening to "It must be belived to be seen" for hours while drawing it. :D🍭

In a way, Dogday x Catnap is a crackship by itself, but I think few people refer to it as a one because it can make sense thematically speaking (?), unlike some others (read: Prometheus). I'm glad that you're enjoying the AU regardless of that, tho!!!!! I understand where you come from. I don't think these two are for everyone, esp considering what we know from canon. I think Shloomp! There It Is (the body swap one) is one of the best episodes in the entire show, if not THEE best. I think its jokes are unmatched, its story is soooo strong, and the crew’s passion for the show is so so visible in Shloomp!.

my number one favorite thing about this ep is the choice to let Andrew Lewis Caldwell voice Randy!Howard. in a lot of media the body swap trope tends to swap voice actors along with physical traits, and imo, that’s kind of a copout. when your voice actors are professional voice actors, not just actors who happen to land a role in animation, they go above and beyond. Caldwell’s performance as Randy!Howard speaks not only to his skill as a VA, but to the show’s atmosphere and his relationship with Ben Schwartz. Caldwell performed an arguably-flawless Randy Cunningham, from the cadence to the mannerisms to the comedic timing.

his performance is enhanced by the love and care of the animation!! obviously the Randy hair on Howard’s model, but the facial expressions, the hand motions, AAAA it shows how well the animators know their character, how consistently their protag is animated — AND that they can confidently and smoothly translate those quirks onto other models.

obviously it’s not a perfect ep — I’m a big fan of acknowledging the flaws in things u love and I even think they’re kinda fun to talk about. so I wanna take a minute and complain about the Theresa subplot. I know a monster was important to keep the plot moving, but I do not think the audience knew enough about Theresa to care about her that much. Shloomp! feels like a pivotal episode, esp cuz it’s paired w McOne Armed and Dangerous — maybe not narratively, but definitely character development-wise. and it felt…like…unearned for Theresa to get so upset when Nomirandy made a pass at Heidi. at that point, Theresa had only had that prom moment w Randy in Sorcerer in Love, he’d saved her a couple times, and then Der Monster Klub. I just didn’t feel like we’d learnt enough about her and Randy’s relationship for me to care that she was jealous and heartbroken.

THAT BEING SAID…..the heart in Shloomp! is palpable. I’ll have to make a compilation of my favorite Shloomp! moments someday ugh I have rewatched it more than any other ep. I actually watched it while I wrote this LMAO and I also shmoked a little hdngksnfk so I am.getting bored of writing now 😭😭 BUT trust that this is not the last time I’ll wax poetic abt Shloomp! There It Is

idk if this is weird to say but you are like. genuinely incredible at character design. like your attention to detail and your ability to make very visually interesting/appealing designs that have so much synergy with who the character actually is and how they present themselves. it’s just really really good and it makes me feel very lucky that you’re a fan of one piece lol

aaaa thank you so much omg!! I’ve been feeling kinda rusty with it lately so I’m trying to get the juices flowing again. I’ve been doing character design “seriously” since ~7th grade and was lucky enough to take a character design class last year :) it’s one of my favorite things to do.

I think the most important part of character design is how much you can infer about a character from their design, and then the most fun part is how much lore you can hide in elements. My biggest tip is you should try to design your characters in pairs at the least. Contrast and similarities can carry you soooo far and give you loads of visual storytelling.

It really is such a good trope, especially when you have a bond that runs as deep and sweet and goes all the way back to childhood. It's easier to convince you because the both of you are very close friends and he'll be so responsible, and aren't you just soooo curious to experiment a little? :) wouldn't it be better if your first time was with someone you know and trust (like a friend)? Wouldn't it be safer and more comfortable that way? :)

first of all, and also maybe obviously, my baby, vincent van gogh which i feel like is just… i mean of course he’s my favourite but like… that man, right, like he drives me insane. like this is maybe fairly self-explanatory, everyone loves van gogh

then, and this is also fairly obvious, or to me at least, i am a HUGE michelangelo girly, likeeee the way he views the body is just soooo. it’s exquisite actually and i’m studying his poetry at uni next term which i’m SO excited about!!!! get ready for me to be SO annoying about him

i also had this one artist in my brain for so long and i couldn’t remember her name but it came to me yesterday!! it’s flora yukhnovich and i just love how like dynamic her work is, like nods to classics w this fun kinda twist

umm who else… another more modern artist, aida tomescu, i love her so much, there’s just Something about her pieces, also when i was doing my art a level i looked into her a lot bc i was thinking about process art and that sort of thing which was all really interesting to me

also i think i mentioned this another time but jenny holzer i LOVE, and dante gabriel rossetti (absolute icon like imagine loving dante so much, you change ur name to match his i love him), i also really like modigliani, him and those long necked women lmao, oh and OFC caravaggio i LOVE him (if u couldn’t tell i’m a Major renaissance girly)
