Heâs dead fucking wrong. You love your father, enough to not immediately say no, but heâs wrong. Itâs true you could use a girlsâ trip, perhaps even a couple of days out of town with your Dad, and heâs not entirely off about university being the death of you, kiddo â youâve spent one too many nights inhaling coffee and cramming for your finals. The idea of an all-inclusive trip is tempting, given the fact that all you manage to eat these days is pasta and store-bought pesto, if that.
Nevertheless, you need to keep studying, thereâs less than two weeks left until your exams, and although the trip is only a couple of days, you donât know Joel.
Sure, youâve been to his barbecues, and he let you use his bike one year when yours was stolen and your Dad refused to buy you a new one, because you should have locked it up in the first place. You know how he patched up your Dad after the divorce â you never worried about your mother, who was heartbroken, but able to talk about it to her family and friends. Your Dad was the one you spent sleepless nights over. The way the beer bottles accumulated in his garage, how distant he seemed on the phone. You know it was Joel who looked after him, made sure he left the house and had anything edible inside it. Youâre grateful for it, you are, but you donât really know him. For most of your life, he has been a friendly smile and wave over a fence, and youâre shy around people you know much better than the occasional hey kid, you back for the summer? or if you see your Dad, tell him I borrowed his screwdriver, Iâll put it back tomorrow.
You do feel slightly guilty your Dad canât go on his trip. He broke his leg, and although itâs not entirely your fault he slipped, you had been the one to mop the stairs right before the accident. As much as your Dad was looking forward to his vacation, after a week he had to admit a beach holiday would be little fun with a whole leg in plaster.
You sigh, staring at your phone screen, tapping on it every once in a while to keep it from turning black. Heâs expecting an answer soon, you know he is. Who the hell books non-refundable trips anyway? When you get the time, youâll need to tell him about a lovely invention that is insurance.
You glance over at the stack of unfinished coursework on your desk, your laptop taunting you with its quiet â no responses to the millions of job applications you have sent out have come through. At this rate, youâll be jobless in a couple of months, when you finish your degree. Youâll have to live with either of your parents forever, no money for any sort of vacation whatsoever.
"Oh, screw it,â you mutter, unlocking your phone, and typing quickly.
Iâll do it. Only because my A+ cleaning is the reason you canât go. Tell Joel to bring something to read, I need to study.
***
"Itâd be a shame if it went to waste, kiddo, Iâm glad youâre doing this.â
"Yeah,â you answer, thinking of the endless powerpoint slides you havenât even looked at yet. "Maybe studying at the beach works wonders.â
Thereâs a knock on the door, and you move to open it, your Dad chained to his chair by his broken leg. Youâre not particularly excited about the smalltalk youâll have to make with your Dadâs friend, but if you remember correctly, Joel is as much the quiet type as you are, and might actually appreciate your studying. Great, you think, at least one of us will enjoy it, then.
When you open the door, the first thing that strikes you is how hard you find it to envision Joel at the beach â heâs all mountains and trees to you, with his lumberjack boots and flannel shirt. His smile is friendly, and only gains warmth when he notices the critical look you give his outfit.
"I know,â he says, voice deep and quiet, "Iâm king of dressing for the occasion.â
You grin, and open the door wider.
"Come on in. Dadâs in the living room. Whatâs with theâŠuhâŠâ
Your voice trails off, as you gesture towards his distinctly un-vacationy clothes.
"Thought you might bail,â Joel answers easily, stepping into the house. "Canât imagine youâre overly thrilled about this.â
You think about denying it, but this is your chance to come clean about how you would much prefer keeping to yourself and preparing for your finals, so you sigh.
"Well, itâs kinda my fault Dad was, like, almost paralyzed from the neck down, so I figured the least I could do was not let his trip go to waste. Iâve got finals in two weeks, so the timing isâŠsuboptimal.â
"Yeah, your Dad said. I brought reading material, so I wonât bother you too much.â
Heâs easy, you realize. Easy to talk to, and easy to accept your reluctance to bond with an almost-stranger, quick to make you feel comfortable by hinting at that boundary. You smile back, and are struck by how he holds your eye contact until you break it yourself, nodding towards your suitcase.
"Think this will fit inside the car?â
"Sure,â he answers, "Iâve got a Bronco.â
You have no idea what that means, but you assume itâs a good thing, so you smile vaguely.
"Itâs an SUV,â Joel explains with a hint of good-natured amusement in his voice.
"Right,â you say, attempting to overplay your obvious lack in car-knowledge, "SUV. One of the big ones.â
It makes Joel smile again, and you notice the wrinkles around his eyes that make his face look all sunny.Â
"Yeah,â he says. "One of the big ones.â
You lead him into the living room to say good-bye to your Dad, whoâs expression is a weird mixture of sombre and excited at the sight of his daughter and best friend getting ready to drive to the airport.
"Take care of her, Joel,â he says, when youâre getting ready to leave.
"Donât worry,â Joel answers with a pat to your fatherâs arm. "Iâve got her.â
"Iâm twenty-three,â you remind your father, "Iâve done more dangerous things than a trip to the beach.â
"Yeah, but youâre still my little girl,â he answers with a smile, squeezing your hand. You squeeze back, though his comment irritates you.
"See ya, Dad. Call me if somethingâs wrong with your leg, alright?â
"Sure, kiddo. Have fun, you two, and bring me a seashell.â
Joel grins at the open envy on your Dadâs face.
"Weâll go on another trip next year,â he says in an attempt to cheer him up.
"Yeah, yeah,â your Dad answers, glancing at his watch. "Better get going, or youâll miss the flight.â
"Weâll be fine, Joelâs got a fast car,â you argue, "AÂ Bronco. Thatâs an SUV.â
Joel snorts.
***
Joel lets you take the window seat and plops down next to you, legs slightly spread so as to fit into the little space the two of you have. His leg nudges yours, and he pulls it back immediately, though you can see how uncomfortable it must be with his knees pressing into the seat in front of him. You move your legs towards the window with a glance at Joel, who looks grateful and is able to relax his muscles into a more comfortable position without invading your space.
"Thanks,â he mutters, "Fucking hate flying.â
So do you, though not because youâre too big to fit into the space, and not because youâre afraid â mostly because itâs boring. Sure, takeoff is exciting, but you get nauseous from watching movies and the plane is much too loud to really enjoy your music the way you would lying on your bed at home. You could study, you suppose, but you tell yourself you wouldnât be able to concentrate and kick your backpack further under your seat. Joel notices and chuckles.
"Finals, huh? You almost done with your degree?â
You canât imagine him finding your boring university struggles interesting, but youâre not exactly fantastic at smalltalk, so you take the conversation heâs offering you.
"Iâve got one more year, but Iâve got to do a six month internship, and write my thesis, so yeah, this is, like, the last of my regular classes and exams.â
"You enjoy it?â
The question is strikingly honest, like he really wants to know, like itâs fine if you donât. You look at him, his eyes already on your face, and for a second you think how handsome he is. You didnât notice before, when he was just the owner of a bike you could conveniently borrow, when life was all skinned knees and staying up till sun-down. Now, he looks like an equal, like someone who wants to know about your life, someone you want to know about yourself. The change is a little unsettling, but thrilling. You realize you havenât answered him, so you clear your throat.
"Sure, itâs alright. Not what I would have done if money didnât matter, but it does, soâŠI can be content with it.â
Joel considers this, eyes still lingering on your face, as the plane starts speeding up for takeoff.
"What would you do if money didnât matter?â
You shrug, and smile to yourself.
"Creative writing, maybe. Or English lit.â
"You always were the smart one in your family,â Joel answers with a chuckle.
You glance at him, and feel a pang of something warm in your stomach as he compliments you. When the plane takes off, you look out of the window, but get the feeling Joelâs eyes keep looking at you. It makes your skin prickle, though not at all unpleasantly.
***
You get to the hotel when the sun is high in the sky, burning the top of your head and making you long for a shower and an ice-cold coke. Joel courteously carries your suitcase and although you donât want to inconvenience him, you donât mind the way his muscles bulge under the weight, arms straining against the navy shirt he had underneath his flannel. You wonder how heâs not suffocating in the heat, wearing his thick jeans and boots.
When you get to the front desk, he fishes his phone out of his pocket, searching for his reservation details with furrowed brows. You smile when you notice he uses two hands to scroll. It takes him a couple of minutes, cursing under his breath, and you smile at the lady, who smiles back, patiently waiting for Joel to find the right email.
"Sorry,â you say to her, and try to catch a glimpse at Joelâs phone, so as to figure out whatâs taking him so long. "Need some help?â
He throws you an offended look that makes you grin, and finally shows the lady his phone. She smiles, types something into her computer and gets out two room keys.
"Go easy on your Daddy, itâs easier when you grew up with the internet,â she says, handing you each a keycard. You feel Joel stiffen beside you, and your stomach flutters.
"Hereâs your keycards, youâre on the third floor. Enjoy your stay!â
"Thanks,â Joel mumbles, taking the cards and handing them to you, before grabbing the two suitcases. He huffs, when you walk around a corner and towards the elevators.
"She was makinâ fun of me,â he says accusingly when the lady is out of earshot, as if that would be your fault. You snort, all of a sudden feeling giddy at the prospect of being at the beach soon, your holiday only a couple of minutes away.
"I donât think so, she was trying to help you by blaming your incompetence on your age,â you say, Joel looking at you like he canât believe what you said.
"Sorry.â Your voice is quivering with amusement at how offended he is. "Daddy.â
That makes him clear his throat, and if your eyes arenât playing a trick on you, his cheeks turn a shade darker. Bingo.
"Donât say shit like that,â Joel grumbles, "âM not that old.â
"How old are you, then?â
"Why?â, he asks, eyes meeting yours, and suddenly youâre the one blushing, your stomach swirling with something you definitely should not be feeling for your Dadâs best friend. Joel shakes his head. "Donât start something neither of us can finish, kid.â
Itâs just an offhand-comment about the way you jokingly flirted, but you feel all bashful all of a sudden. His mention of there being something to potentially start, the fact that the possibility even crossed his mindâŠwhen you look up at him again and watch him press a button on the elevator, you study the grey patches in his beard, the way his jaw clenches and unclenches as youâre waiting, his thick fingers drumming against the handle of his suitcase. Itâs not what you expected to happen, but Joelâs got you intrigued.
***
You both agree to take a shower, get settled in and meet outside the rooms in half an hour â theyâre neighboring, so itâs not far. Youâre too lazy to properly unpack, so you just grab a bikini and a comfortable white sundress to change into after your shower. The water is welcome on your skin, washing away the grit and sweat of the hours spent on the plane, and you feel like a new person when you step out of the bathroom. You put on sandals and a pair of sunglasses, grab sunscreen, your books and notes for class, and a bottle of water, and throw it all into your beach bag, then head for the door. Joel is already waiting for you, leaning against the wall opposite your door wearing a different shirt, red swimming trunks and dark sunglasses. Heâs got a towel thrown over his shoulder and you grin.
"Raw-dogging the beach?â, you ask, which makes him furrow his brows.
"The hell does that mean?â
You snort at his obvious annoyance at your innuendo.
"It means youâre only bringing a towel, nothing to entertain yourself with,â you explain, gesturing towards your bag. Joel shakes his head, still frowning.
"Iâm going to the beach, not the library,â he answers, and starts walking towards the elevators, his flip-flops making their soft sound on the floor. Your gaze flickers down towards his legs, his swimming trunks revealing tan thighs.
"Cominâ?â
You swallow, and catch up with him.
***
Heâs fucking gorgeous. Itâs a problem, how gorgeous he is, tan torso, swimming trunks low on his hips, bits of dark hair scattered across his chest and soft belly. His shoulders are wide, like they were made for swimming, his hair glistening as he shakes like a wet dog when he comes up for air. You have been staring at the same page for far too long now, but thereâs no way Joel is able to notice your staring, not when youâre wearing your sunglasses and heâs busy swimming.
You know itâs a bad idea, that thereâs no good that can come from crushing on a man twice your age, more than that, even. You know he must surely see the girl who came over to borrow his bike with tears of anger in her eyes every time he looks at you, and you know how much he respects your father.
Still, you are allowed to have fun. Youâre doing this for your Dad more than anything, and youâve been bending over backwards trying to make him proud with your good grades, so if thereâs something youâre able to get out of this trip, you figure youâre at least allowed to look. And anyway, itâs not hurting anyone. Itâs just natural, the half-naked bodies and blissful relaxation would affect anyone who has spent the last four months cramped up in a little dorm room.
You watch Joel swim towards the beach again, rising out of the water like some sort of Poseidon sent to personally make this trip unbearable for you. You think of his reaction when you teasingly called him Daddy, and swallow.
"Fuck,â you mumble to yourself, when he tugs on his swimming trunks so that they donât slide over his hips, dripping water onto the dry sand all around him. He smiles at you as he makes his way over to your spot â two deckchairs shielded by a parasol.
"Wow,â Joel says sarcastically, when he looks at your book, still on page two. "Real page turner, huh?â
You blush, and open your mouth to defend yourself, but Joelâs expression softens, all biting humor gone, as he grabs his towel.
"Youâre allowed to take a break from studying, you know?â
You watch him dry himself off, big hands rubbing the towel over his chest and stomach, leaving his legs to dry on their own, as he lays down on his deckchair.
"Easy to say, youâre not the one who has to face my Dad if you fail all your exams.â
Joel turns his head towards you, and youâre struck by how gentle his expression is.
"I know he can be a hard ass, but I guarantee you youâre not goinâ to fail all your exams, kid.â
You sigh and shrug.
"He give you a hard time âcause of your grades?â
"No,â you answer quickly, all of a sudden feeling defensive of your father. "I just wannaâŠmake him proud.â
Joel smiles.
"I know for a fact youâre doinâ that without even tryinâ. And anyway, itâs good to take breaks. Letâs your brain cool off and absorb information much better afterwards.â
Canât argue with that logic, you think and close your book with a thud. Joel grabs it from you and throws it into your beach bag.
"I grant you two hours of studying each day,â he says, and you have to laugh. "The rest is for having fun, gettinâ tan and drinkinâ cocktails."
Itâs preposterous, that he would order you around like that after you told him you need to study, back before you even made it to the airport. But something is different here, away from your desk, and your Dadâs broken leg (and the rest of him, for that matter). Joel and you have fallen into an easy dynamic, and although itâs unusual, your reservations are gone. Youâre actually looking forward to spending time with him, and not just because of the way his belly nudges against the waistband of his swimming trunks, or how his accent seems to thicken in the sun.
"Fine,â you say, "but youâre paying for my tuition if I do end up failing, Miller.â
He grins at you.

Could you do the bamboos doing the tiktok trend a boy who jacket and kind please
âŻJACKED AND KIND ( the batboys doing the âjacked and kindâ tiktok trend with you ! )
â gn!reader, dick & jason & tim ( separated ), cursing, not edited
© ahqkas â all rights reserved. even when credited, these works are prohibited to be reposted, translated or modified
. . . DICK GRAYSON !
this man would literally be so hyped about doing the trend with you!!
your boyfriend stood behind you as you positioned your phone just right, angling it to catch the best angles. he doing some simple stretches, probably the same ones he did whenever he got ready for one of his patrols. you watched in the reflection your phone provided how his navy blue shirt fit his torso, wrapping and stretching around the muscles without any real effort to show off his broad shoulders and muscular arms. you could also point out the faintest smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. he knew exactly how good he looked.
âokay,â you took a step backwards toward him once you were satisfied with the preparation. âdonât let me down.â
a chuckle left his throat at your words while he met you halfway in the steps, taking a few steps forward so he could be standing behind you in order to record the trend. âbaby, letting you down isnât part of my vocabulary. lifting you up, on the other hand . . .â he trailed off with a wink and you managed to lightly slap his bicep before the countdown went off and the video started recording.
the song started playing from the phone â âslim pickinsâ by sabrina carpenter â and you tensed into position, facing the camera. you felt the warmth of his large hands on your hips before he touched you ( his touch was steady, as if he had done this a million times before ).
with an almost effortless motion, dick lifted you up in the air for a second before you made contact with his shoulder. you squealed in surprise from how quickly the whole thing happened and tried to balance yourself on top of him. he adjusted his grip on your knees while flexing his biceps for the camera, showing off the pure muscle with a large grin etched on his pretty face.
he looked confident, like he was the first man to ever grace the earth, even swaying a bit on his feet. show-off. the song continued playing, and just as the lyrics â âa boy whoâs jacked and kindâ â faded, dick followed it by lowering your body down in a quick move, catching you in a bridal style before you could even process what was happening.
âdick!â you couldnât help but gasp this time. you havenât seen this feature in the trending videos yet, and you were pretty sure you two would end up viral with just this move alone. you could picture the comments already.
âget a roomâ
âi miss my future bfâ
âON MY PHONE? ON MY WIFI? ON MY ACCOUNT??â
he really was jacked and kind.
. . . JASON TODD !
jason would kill this trend without even trying.
you had been begging him for the last hour about doing one of those new trending tiktok videos. the ones where couples did something ridiculously romantic which caused the whole comment section to show whatâs it like to be born a hater (âso cute!! BLOCKEDâ âreacted "đđ»" to your messageâ âiâm sleeping on a highway tonight guysâ ). jason had been through countless trends already, but you were extra set on doing this trend with him.
âjason, come on! itâll be fun, i promise.â
he dropped the book he was reading on the coffee table with a dramatic sigh, turning to look you in the eye. âi swear, every time i turn around, thereâs another damn trend going viral.â
but there was no real annoyance in the tone of his voice. he could act all rough and nonchalant, but deep down, he adored you with all his heart and soul. heâd never admit it aloud, but you got him feeling things he didnât quite know how to process.
you looked over at him with those pleasing eyes he could never resist. âplease, jay?â
letting out the biggest sigh youâve ever heard, your boyfriend stood up from the couch and walked over to where you were standing in front of your phone. âyouâre lucky youâre cute,â he muttered under his breath lowly with those beefy arms crossed at his chest.
âi promise this will be the last one.â
âuh-huh.â jason didnât want it to be the last one.
you turned your head over your shoulder to look at him while you set your phone up. âyou know how this works, right? just pick me up and place me on your shoulder.â
you didnât have a single doubt about him not being able to pick you up. jason was a big guy, he could manhandle you all you he wanted without breaking a sweat, you knew that. he was going to pick you up.
âalright, sweetheart. get over here.â
the song started playing as soon as the timer was up and you felt his hands sliding up your thighs as he bend over a bit before he wrapped his forearms around the meat of your legs. he picked you up effortlessly like you weighed nothing, not a single sound of protest leaving his lips from the motion. your laugh filled the room when you made contact with his broad shoulder and you wrapped your arm around his neck, leaning slightly closer to him for the video to capture.
jason didnât flex his arms, didnât need to show his strength off. he simply wrapped his hands around your thighs, fingers kneading the soft muscles as he helped you balance yourself so you wouldnât fall and make a blooper instead.
âsee? no big deal.â
. . . TIM DRAKE !
tim was never one to enjoy attention, especially not the one that came with being on camera.
but when you, with your sweet smile and convincing voice, had asked him to do yet another one of your tiktok trends, he couldnât really say no.
âtim, please? youâll love it, i promise,â you pleaded with him, already setting up your phone with the timer set straight on because you knew he wouldnât resist you. he never did.
and he didnât this time, either. âwhatâs this trend about again?â
you practically bounced over to where he was standing with pure excitement written all over your face. âitâs a lifting one. i just need you to pick me up exactly when the songs say âa boy whoâs jacked and kindâ. simple, right?â
âi really donât thinkââ
âoh, come on! youâre strong, and youâre always complaining i never let you have fun. this is fun, tim.â
at that, he let out a long sigh while his hand rubbed the back of his neck. he was thinking, deep in thoughts. but you were really really really hard to resist when you got like this â all pleading and loving with him. you had this look in your eye, he had realized, one that said you would never stop bugging him until you got your way. and he realized he was down bad for that look.
âfine. but if i drop you, donât blame me.â
tim stepped into position behind you, his eyes narrowing as he mentally braced for the lift before the video could ever start. he wasnât sure how exactly this was supposed to go, but it didnât look that complicated, right? it was just about picking you up and holding you there for a few seconds. simple. yet, he couldnât help but overthink the whole thing.
his stance was little awkward, with his hands hovering near your waist as if he wasnât entirely sure of his footing, trying to maintain that balance between not looking too stiff and not being too casual either.
for a split second, everything was going perfectly. your boyfriend had you in his arms, effortlessly supporting you on his shoulder while your laughter erupted from your throat. you knew tim would be perfect for this trend. but thatâs when things went sideways.
his feet shuffled under him and he lost his footing on the carpet beneath him. his balance wavered which caused yours to do just as same, and before he could adjust and save the situation, your body slipped a little too far to one side. timâs eyes widened, and he made a split-second decision to shift his hands, trying to catch you before you fell completely.
everything happened so fast.
you were halfway to the floor when his arm shot out, catching you by the waist just in time. for a second, it looked like he mightâve actually saved the moment â then his grip faltered, and you were both tumbling to the ground in a tangled mess of limbs.
âah!â
the two of you collapsed together, but your boyfriend managed to twist in the last moment, taking most of the fall with his own body before you could hit the floor completely. he groaned softly under you with his chest rising and falling rapidly as you lay on top of him, your face flushed with a mix of embarrassment and laughter.
âyou almost dropped me.â
âi did drop you,â he replied dryly, but his voice held no real frustration â just the tiniest hint of amusement as he looked up at you.
it mightâve not been a video that would kill the whole trend, but it was a video that would never fail to make you smile. and that was enough for you.

helloo there!!âĄ, I really love the way you write. I'm wondering what it would be like if sae, rin, kaiser, have a gf who is a cosplayer, tyyâĄ!
Hiii dear!! Have a nice read and thank youuu^^
Rin Itoshi
Rin had come home early from practice. As soon as he opened the door he heard strange noises coming from the living room. When he walked in he found you sitting on the floor trying to shape a large piece of cardboard. The room was a mess with hot glue guns paints fabric scraps and oddly shaped foam pieces scattered everywhere
âWhat are you doing?â Rin asked with a curious expression. You looked up at him. With a smudge of paint on your face and messy hair you smiled brightly. âIâm working on a new cosplay. This is going to be a piece of armorâ you said holding up the cardboard. Rin raised an eyebrow. âArmor? That thing needs a lot of work before it even looks like armor.â
âDonât tease me!â you retorted. âThis is just the base layer. It still needs painting hardening and detailing. Rin chuckled. âAlright alright. But why does the entire house look like a battlefield? Do you even know what youâre doing?â
Though you looked a bit offended you could tell Rin was getting interested. âI watched some YouTube videos and read a few guides. Itâs a bit challenging but Iâm learning. Plus itâs funâ
Rin sat down next to you and picked up the piece of cardboard you were working on. âIf youâre going to put in this much effort at least do it properly. You need to cut this cleanly with a craft knifeâ he said grabbing a knife and showing you how to do it
After that day Rin couldnât help but get involved in your project. Sometimes heâd point out mistakes saying âYouâre doing it wrongâ and other times heâd grab a paintbrush to help you add finishing touches
When the cosplay was finally ready you put it on and showed Rin the completed look. As you posed excitedly you noticed the surprised look on his face. âAlrightâ he said after a moment âI thought it was silly at first but⊠it actually looks really goodâ
âReally?â you asked your eyes sparkling with hope. Rin shrugged. âMaybe. But after all that effort I guess I canât say anything against it.â At the convention your armor caught everyoneâs attention. People stopped you to take pictures and compliment your work. Rin stood a step behind you a small smile on his face keeping an eye on the crowd to make sure no one crossed any boundaries
Sae Itoshi
when you first mentioned your passion for cosplay he didnât think much of it. âCosplay? You mean dressing up as fictional characters?â he asked one day his tone calm but slightly curious âExactly!â you replied with excitement. âItâs a lot more than just dressing up though. I design the outfits build props and sometimes even compete. Itâs a hobby but it means a lot to meâ
Sae gave a small nod. âIf itâs important to you thatâs fine. Just donât expect me to dress upâ You laughed at his response knowing it was his way of acknowledging your interests without diving too deeply
A few weeks later you were preparing for a convention. Your living room was a workshop with fabric glue guns and foam scattered everywhere. Sae walked in and paused his sharp gaze taking in the scene âYouâve been at this for hoursâ he commented setting his bag down
âYupâ you said not even looking up from the detailed painting you were doing on a prop. âThe convention is in two days and I want this to be perfectâ Sae sighed softly walking closer. âDoes it really need to be this detailed? No oneâs going to notice if itâs off by a littleâ
You shot him a playful glare. âOh theyâll notice. Trust me cosplayers have an eye for detailâ He didnât reply but leaned down to pick up one of the finished pieces. âItâs impressiveâ he admitted after a moment. âI didnât realize you made all of this yourselfâ
The day of the convention Sae offered to drive you there. As you stepped out of the car in your fully completed costume he couldnât help but let his eyes linger for a moment. You looked stunning the outfit perfectly capturing the character you were portraying âYouâre really into this arenât you?â he said his voice softer than usual âI amâ you replied with a bright smile. âAnd I love itâ
At the convention Sae stayed in the background watching as people approached you for photos and compliments. He observed the way your face lit up every time someone admired your work. Despite his usual stoic demeanor he felt a subtle sense of pride
Later as you both sat down to eat he spoke up. âYouâre talented. I donât think I could have the patience to do something like thatâ You grinned. âComing from you thatâs a big compliment.â Sae smirked faintly. âDonât let it go to your headâ
Kaiser Michael
âYou dress up as fictional characters and make all this stuff yourself?â he asked, spinning one of your half-finished props in his hand like it was a trophy.âYes, Michaelâ you replied, rolling your eyes at his tone. âItâs not just dressing up. Itâs crafting, designing, and bringing something I love to life. And no, you canât break that it took hours to makeâ
Kaiser smirked and placed the prop back carefully. âRelax. Iâm just admiring your⊠creativityâ A few days later, he strolled into the room while you were sewing fabric for your next costume. His golden hair was slightly tousled, and he leaned casually against the doorway, watching you work. âSo, whenâs this big event of yours?â
âThis weekendâ you answered, not looking up from your work âPerfect. Iâll clear my scheduleâ he said with a grin. You looked up at him, surprised. âYouâre coming?â
âOf courseâ he said as if it were obvious. âI have to see how good you are at this. Besides, youâll need someone to make sure your fans donât get too closeâ
The day of the convention, Kaiser arrived in style, dressed impeccably as always. When he saw you in your finished cosplay, his usual cocky smirk shifted into something softer. âIâll admitâ he said, circling you like a critic. âYou look incredible. Almost as good as meâ âAlmost?â you teased, raising an eyebrow âFineâ he said with a mock dramatic sigh. âYou look better than me for nowâ
At the convention, Kaiser stayed by your side, his presence impossible to ignore. People stared as much at him as they did at you, but he didnât seem to mind. Whenever someone asked for a photo with you, heâd step aside, arms crossed, observing like he was the one managing your image
âYou knowâ he whispered at one point as you posed for a group shot. âYou shouldâve told me earlier. Iâd have joined you in costume. Imagine us as a power duo unstoppableâ You laughed, shaking your head. âThis is my thing, Michael. You already have footballâ
âBut youâre my girlfriendâ he said with a wink. âThat makes everything you do my thing tooâ By the end of the day, you were exhausted but happy. Kaiser drove you home, still talking about how âyou stole the showâ and how âeveryone was lucky to witness your brillianceâ
Enjoy!

âFor a moment, he wanted to break down and beg Willem not to leave. Don't go, he wanted to tell him. Stay here with me. I'm scared to be alone.â
- Hanya Yanagihara, "A Little Life"
He remembers your final battleâthe fight that ended it all; the decision-maker, the deal-breaker.
Four years. You had been together for four beautiful, though turbulent, years. The kind of love story that felt unshakable, weathering the storms life hurled your way. You had your own career, pursuing the dreams youâd cherished since you were a kid. You were finally at a stage in life where everything felt like it fit perfectly. And with him by your side, it seemed like nothing could go wrong.
By 2020âyour third year togetherâthings had grown serious, the kind of serious that made people whisper about rings and forever.
You still remember the phone call in March 2020, just as the world began to crumble under the weight of a pandemic, when asked you the question, his voice calm but carrying a thread of anticipation.
âQuarantine with me. In the UK,â he said, his words slicing through the static.
You froze, caught completely off guard. The emotions hit you all at onceâjoy, anxiety, disbeliefâso quickly that you couldnât string a coherent thought together.
âY/n?â His voice softened. âYou still there?â
âYeah, yeah, Iâm here,â you stammered, your mind still reeling. âIâm just⊠a little unprepared for that question.â
The pandemic was spiraling into chaos. Quarantine was the new normal, with no end in sight. Weeks? Months? Years? No one knew. There was no vaccine, no cure, just endless uncertainty. The thought of being confined in one place for so long felt suffocating.
âIt's just⊠That's not my house, I don't know if IâllâŠâ he had this unbearable habit of cutting you off in the middle of a sentence.
âI know, but we can make it home,â you could tell he was beaming with pride for coming up with that sentence. âHome is wherever you are.â
It sounded like a promise. Like he was for real.
âBesides, there wonât be any races for a while. Things will be peaceful, quiet⊠just us. I think we can make it fun at home, huh?â
His words wrapped around you like a warm blanket. Despite the fear and uncertainty, the thought of being with himâjust himâwas comforting.
You took a deep breath, letting the idea sink in. âOkay, it sounds nice,â and you smiled.
And it was nice. More than nice, really. Those weeks together were filled with laughter and quiet moments, a bubble of peace in a chaotic world.
Eventually, though, he had to leave again. Racing had resumed, and his life called him back to the track. You went to as many races as you could, though he always worried.
âI donât want you catching that thing,â heâd say, his protective nature shining through.
Youâd laugh it off, but you knew he meant it. Those months felt like a rhythm you could get used toâbrief separations and joyous reunions. You thought you had found your balance.
But cracks have a way of forming when you least expect themâbecause people talk. They speculate. They conspire. Perched on the edges of lives they donât know, they wait for their chance to unravel something beautiful.
Your relationship became a sweet treat for an internet starved for the meanest way to make somebody seem interesting, a spectacle to devour and distortâsomebody had to feed those vultures.
By mid-2021, Twitter was buzzing with talk of rings, cradles and bibs. People dissected your (and his) every move, searching for signs of the next big step. But while the world fantasized about your future, Lewis was consumed by a fight of his ownâthat year's championship; the toughest battle since 2016, since Nico.
You knew his career had always been his first love, the thing that made his heart pump and his eyes shine long before they settled on you. Just as you had your own dreams to chase, he had his. And in 2021, those dreams demanded everything from himâhis time, his attention, his softness, and, it seemed, his love for you.
By late 2021, the cracks in your once unshakable foundation had grown too wide to ignore. The championship consumed him, pulling him further away, and youâdesperately holding onâbegan to feel more like an obligation than a partner.
It started with the little things: unanswered texts, âI was catching up on dataâ, missed calls, conversations cut short with a distracted âSorry, Iâll call you laterâ. Later never came thought. Even when you were physically together, his mind was elsewhere, a thousand miles ahead, already focused on the next race, the next strategy meeting, the next battle on track.
You tried to understand. You reminded yourself of his passion, his drive, the fire that had drawn you to him in the first place. But understanding didnât make the loneliness any easier to bear.
Then it crumbled. December, after Abu Dhabi. It was like everything started to shut down, like multiple organ failureâthereâs no surgery to save your relationship. The worst part is that you knew itâyou both. The even worse part was that you let it go so easily.
The fallout from that race was cataclysmic, not just for him but for you too. He came home shatteredâa man stripped of everything heâd worked for, everything he believed in. You wanted to be there for him, to help him rebuild, but he wouldnât let you in. He was silent, withdrawn, a ghost of the man who had once made you feel like the center of his universe.
âIâm here if you wanna talk,â you had reassured him once, your voice soft, during a quietly bitter dinner.
âI donât want to,â he replied sharply, his tone cold and clipped, not even looking up from his plate.
âI know, but what I mean is thatââ
âI know what you mean, Y/N,â he interrupted, his voice laced with impatience. âPlease, can we just eat?â
The finality in his words stung, sharp and unforgiving. Recessive and heartbroken, you nodded, lowering your gaze to the plate of food you had poured your heart into makingâa meal that now tasted like ash in your mouth.
The days dragged on after that, each one heavier than the last. Conversations became sparse, filled only with superficial pleasantries or curt exchanges. The man who used to pull you into his arms and make you laugh until your sides ached now felt like a stranger in your own home.
And then came the day he told you he was leaving.
âIâm going over to my parents,â he said one evening, his voice flat, drained of its usual warmth, as the chill of December crept into the Monaco air.
You blinked, still sitting on the couch surrounded by a scattering of holiday cards youâd been addressing. The weight of his words took a moment to settle.
âDidnât know theyâd spend Christmas with us,â you said, absent-minded, not understanding what he meant yet.
âNo,â he clarified, his tone cool and detached. âIâm going home.â
The room seemed to close in around you, the once-welcoming space now feeling alien and far too empty. âOkay⊠Iâll pack my bags,â you said quickly, standing up abruptly, as if to act like nothing had changed. âHow long are we staying there? I hope youâre aware that Iâm going home for New Yearâsââ
âNo, Y/N.â He cut you off, his words sharp enough to slice through the air. âI need to go by myself. Just me and my parents for once.â
Your breath hitched as you processed his words. âOh. Umm⊠Okay,â you managed to say, your throat tightening, tears threatening to spill. âItâs just that we⊠we had planned this. We were supposed toââ
âYeah, yeah,â he interrupted, waving a dismissive hand. âPlans changed.â
The dismissal stung, sharp and biting, like a slap to the face. And then, the silence.
âWhat happened, Lewis?â you asked, the crack in your voice betraying the storm brewing inside.
âHow is that even a question?â he snapped, his brow furrowed, disbelief coloring his words. He ran a hand through his hair, frustration leaking from his every pore. âItâs right in front of you, Y/N. Itâs been right in front of you.â
âNo, it hasnât!â you shot back, the words tumbling out in a mix of anger and desperation. âYouâve been shutting me out for months. I donât know whatâs going on with you anymore because you wonât talk to me! You wonât let me in!â
âOh, so now this is my fault?â he retorted, his voice rising, defensive. âIâm the bad guy for not wanting to drown you in my shit? For needing space to deal with the fact that my careerâmy legacyâwas torn apart in front of the entire world?â He turned his back on you, heading toward the hallway that led to your shared bedroom.
âThatâs not what Iâm saying, Lewis!â you shouted, following him, the frustration boiling over. âThe thing is, you made me believe we were a team. Weâd face things together. And now, when it matters most, youâre shutting me out!â
But he didnât listen. His steps were heavy, his mind already elsewhere.
âYou said youâre going home!â You screamed, and this time, he finally stopped, his body tensing.
He turned around, his face a storm of frustration. âI am going home, Y/N. Whatâs so hard to understand about that?â
âWhat happened to âhome is wherever you are, Y/Nâ?â you repeated, your voice shaking with raw emotion. âThis isnât your home anymore? After everything weâve built together, Iâm not your home?â
He scoffed, a cruel sound that sliced through the air. âYouâre twisting my words.â
âNo, Iâm not!â you retorted, your heart pounding, desperate to be heard. âIâm just trying to understand why you think running back to the UK and shutting me out is the answer to anything. You barely even look at me anymore, Lewis. Do you even want me here?â
âWhat is that supposed to mean?â His eyes narrowed, his tone sharp, though still defensive.
âIt means youâve kept me on the edge for so long. Youâre here, but not really. And when youâre gone, we donât talk. You disappear. Iâm not even a part of your life anymore!â You could feel the tears in your throat, but you fought them back. âYou dismiss everything we talked aboutâmarriage, kids, a future. Like none of it matters to you anymore. Like you donât want me in your life at all. It feels like you hate me!â
âArgh, here you go again,â he snarled, his fists clenching. âShit, you always do this,â he snapped, his voice rising. âAlways making it about you,â his index pointed straight at you.
âBecause it is about us!â you cried, your voice breaking. âItâs about me too, isnât it? Iâm not some option you can just turn off when you donât feel like dealing with me!â
âWell, Iâm the one dealing with shit right now,â he shot back, his eyes flashing with anger. âAnd instead of supporting me, youâre interrogating me, saying I donât care about you. You think that talking about babies and rings is going to fix anything? You donât get it, Y/N! Youâre so focused on your timeline, on what you think I should be giving you, that you canât see that Iâm falling apart!â
You stood frozen, the sting of his words slicing through you like ice. âThatâs not fair, Lewis. Iâve been supporting youââ
âHave you?â he interrupted coldly, his voice full of bitterness. âBecause all I hear is how you feel. Iâm the one whoâs lost everything, but somehow, Iâm the one to blame. Youâve made this all about you.â
âYou keep saying youâve lost everything, but no,â you said, your voice steady despite the tears now spilling. âYou havenât lost everything. Your legacy is still there. Youâre a legend. Itâs always going to be remembered. But youâre so lost in your own darkness that you canât see whatâs still in front of you. Youâve lost a championship, so what?â
Lewisâs face twisted with rage, his eyes seething as he glared at you. âSo what?â he echoed bitterly. âYou think itâs just about a damn race? Itâs not just the championship, Y/N. Itâs everything. They took it from me. They stole it from me, right in front of everyoneâs eyes. And all you can do is lecture me like Iâm being unreasonable? Youâre standing here talking about legacy and what Iâve achieved, but none of that matters if itâs all been ripped away. Whatâs left of me when theyâve taken everything?â he said, forcing himself to maintain his composure.
âYeah, and what's left of us, Lewis?â
The words hit him harder than you expected, and for a moment, he was silent, his jaw tightening. His chest heaved, and his eyes locked onto yours, a mix of pain and frustration swirling in them.
âWhat do you mean, what's left of us?â he asked, his voice shaking slightly, as though he was trying to understand.
âWe,â you repeated, your voice quieter now, barely above a whisper. âWhatâs left of us when you shut me out like this? When you push me away every time I try to help you, every time I try to understand? What happens when you keep giving them, the media, more than you give to this relationship?â
âI donât think I have the mindspace to dwell on that anymore, Y/N,â He stood there, seemingly distant, his eyes avoiding yours now. The air between you both felt colder, thicker, like an impenetrable wall had risen between the two of you.
âSee? That's what Iâm talking about! Youâll just run away, packing it up and not talking to me. You canât just not think about it, Lewis,â you said, frustration creeping into your voice. âYou canât just shut everything out because itâs easier than facing it. This relationshipâusâitâs not a convenience, itâs not something you can just leave behind when it doesnât fit your narrative anymore.â
His jaw clenched, his eyes narrowing as if he were searching for a retort but couldnât find the words. Finally, he said, âI canât give you what you need right now, Y/N. I canât be the person you want me to be.â
âI donât need you to be perfect, Lewis,â you said, stepping closer to him. âI just need you to let me in. I need you to trust me enough to share the weight.â
He shook his head, looking away as if he couldnât bear to meet your eyes. âItâs not that simple.â
âYes, it is!â you insisted, the tears youâd been holding back spilling over now. âYouâre choosing to leave me out. Youâre actively choosing to push me away. Thatâs not about the championship or your careerâthatâs about us. And itâs killing me, Lewis.â
For a moment, he just stood there, his eyes locked on yours, his face a blank mask. And then, in a voice so quiet, so small, it shattered your heart, he said, âMaybe we were never as strong as we thought we were.â
The words slammed into you like a punch to the gut, leaving you gasping for air. âYou donât mean that,â you pleaded, your voice trembling, cracking under the weight of the truth you didnât want to face.
Time seemed to slow as he reached for his house keys, his car keys, and the packed handbagâeach movement like a dagger slowly twisting deeper into your chest.
âLewis, no,â you begged, your voice raw, desperation flooding your veins. âNo, please, donât do this. Please stayâŠâ
But he didnât look back. He didnât even flinch at your broken cries.
âIâll see you around,â he muttered, his words empty, hollow. His tone was void of everything that once mattered. Without another word, he walked out, the door slamming shut behind him with a deafening finality.
The silence that followed was suffocating, the sound of the doorâs closure ringing in your ears like a death knell. You were left standing there, frozen, in a sea of devastation. Alone. Lost. And questioning everything that had once been so sure.
Nothing was ever the same after that.
For him, that wasnât just the loss of a championshipâit was the loss of himself. Of everything he thought he could hold onto.
You watched helplessly as he sought solace in everything elseâthe noise, the distractions, the empty comfortsâanything but you. Everyone else seemed to understand the depths of his pain, the weight of his loss, except for you. And that fact stung worse than anything heâd said.
That night, you let yourself slip into a crying spiral, tears falling uncontrollably, each one a reflection of the pain that had consumed you. You didn't know how long it lasted, but it felt like hours, your chest tight and raw. Eventually, exhaustion dragged you into a restless sleep, the emptiness settling around you.
A few weeks later, after trying to collect yourself and make sense of the pain, you sent one text.
you: iâve taken my thing out of your house in Monaco. iâm breaking up with you.
You stared at the message for a long moment, your thumb hovering over the send button, as though giving yourself a moment to breathe before the finality of it.
With a shaky exhale, you pressed send. The words hung in the air, heavy with the weight of everything that had built up, everything that had been left unsaid. The knot in your chest didnât loosen. It didnât change anything. But it was done. And as you stared at the screen, the absence of a reply was just another confirmation that it was over.

There was always a hesitance for Soap when it came to the more deeply personal aspects of Ghost. Even with how brazen he was when they started their partnership he wasn't stupid. As hot as it made him under the collar, that mask ghost wore was a bright neon sign that screamed Fuck Off.Â
More often than not he towed the line. Hell you could say he danced on it occasionally when the situation allowed, but when Ghost was well and truly shutting him out he knew when to let it go. Itâs a source of great internal pride for him to be able to read Ghost well enough to push his buttons while avoiding pushing him to his breaking point.Â
As they got closer, there was a larger pool of tolerance for his specific flavor of boldness. The answers to semi-personal questions getting longer, less clipped. The dumb hypotheticals heâd toss out to fill the silence as they smoked were given more thought, instead of outright dismissals he used to get.
Then they fell in bed together for the first time and it was like a flood gate was opened.Â
The touches between them got more sure, more intentional. The tidbits that made up Ghost more readily found, and if he didnât know any better, almost placed at his feet. Just begging to be picked up and stowed away in the little box in his chest that was solely for Ghost. To be seen, judged and found worthy of not just Ghost, but Simon himself was worth more to him than any medal or accolade could ever be.Â
It wasnât just the getting to know Simon that truly made this something Soap cherished, but the fact that Simon seemed to enjoy getting to know him in return. The intentional work to learn what made him tick, what made Soap Johnny and vice versa. It solidified in his mind that this wasnât just a fling, a rough romp in the barracks sheets every now and again. This in all its fucked up gory messy glory, was love.Â
Over the years heâs picked up on a few things that Simon does in his spare time. Not just for maintaining himself and his gear or staying sane, but for actual fun and pleasure. The biggest thing though was the models.Â
He told Soap once after a nightmare and a fucking freezing night smoking through an entire pack, that his favorite thing he ever got for Christmas one year was a little model train his mom had gotten him after his father had left the house.Â
âIt was shite.â He said fondly. His eyes were settled somewhere on the horizon, far away and glassy.Â
âThe wood was so brittle it snapped more often than it didnât⊠and the paint, fucking donât get me started on the paintâŠâ the small barely there smile he wore as he described the way the cheap paint streaked on the toy made it into Soaps journal that very next day.Â
The next time he saw this side of Simon was the first time heâd stayed at his little flat in Manchester. Theyâd gotten leave together after an OP went slightly south leaving him with a concussion and Simon with a broken wrist. With a very pointed look from Price and a cheeky âDonât have too much fun mateâ from Gaz they were on a train headed north.Â
As they made their way up the stairs to his front door, Simon stopped.Â
âBefore we go in thereâs something I should probably mentionâŠâ Normally the eye black covered everything except his eyes. Since they were traveling as civilians Simon only had a black medical mask and a cap to cover himself. He apparently learned the hard way how nosey some people would be when he tried to walk the street in a skull balaclava. The blush that sat faintly high on his cheeks was a beautiful surprise and then some.
âGot a wee wife and bairn hidden away ereâ I donâ know about?â Soap said with a bit of a chuckle and a raised eyebrow.
Johnny knew from the crinkles next to his eyes that he was smiling, Simon let out an overly dramatic sigh before speaking again.
âPiss off Mactavish, if anything youâre the wee wifeâŠâ he grumbled out, shifting slightly from one foot to the other before he continued.Â
âItâs just⊠Iâve never really⊠let anyone in here before and thereâsâŠâ he trails off looking anywhere but at Soap.Â
He grabs Simonâs good hand to get his eyes back on him.
âUnless ye got dead people hanging up to dry on yer ceiling, I doubt whatever yer dancing around is bad enough to turn me off of youâ he starts with humor before taking a more serious tone.
âIâve seen you open a man from navel to chin and grin while you do it⊠Iâm more than gone on you Simon and nothinâ short of Hell freezinâ over is gonna change thatâ he says lowering his tone to a level that's just for them. âHonestly, probably not even that would do itâ he finishes with a wink.Â
âJesus JohnnyâŠâ Simon sighed in a surprised exhale, his blush deepening to a delightfully deep pink.
Without another word he turns, unlocks his flat and steps inside.Â
For the most part, in Jonnyâs opinion anyway, itâs a fairly normal space for a single active duty man like Simon. Thereâs a kitchen to the left and a living room to the right with a hallway leading to what he can only assume is the bedroom. The furniture he can see looks old and mismatched, like he grabbed it all from a second hand shop. It's charming in its own way, nothing matches but it somehow all works. As he slips off his shoes by the door heâs mildly confused by the reaction out front, until he sees the wall on the other side of the living room, hidden by the little wall in the entryway.Â
As Simon stands sheepishly next to the display he gets a good look at frankly the largest collection of model trains heâs ever seen. From carpet to ceiling there are shelves loaded with tiny dioramas. However as he steps closer and gets a better look he realizes all of the trains are in some stage of destruction. Some torn in pieces, others on fire with tiny people inside panicking, thereâs one, he realizes, thatâs an almost spot on recreation of a blown out train they had tracked down and eventually killed an HVT in about a year ago.Â
After a long moment of soap simply absorbing everything, he turns to ghost standing stock still next to the wall. His eyes assessing, taking in every minor move or facial expression, waiting for some kind of negative reaction heâs sure.
Soap doesnât let that stand for a minute longer.
âIf I told you thaâ this is one of the hottest things I think Iâve ever seen would you believe me?â Heâs probably laying it on a little thick but honestly itâs the truth. The level of detail, the time soap knows is required for something like this. The steady hand needed to get the tiniest lines painted straight. Itâs a show of skill that he finds very very attractive.
âYouâd have made a hell of a demo specialist if you hadnât been so good with a blade, Jesus Simon how long this take you?â He breathes out, awe heavy in his voice. He steps closer to the wall taking in the finer details. On one shelf closer to eye level, thereâs a train car mid crash held up by the thinnest of wire. Itâs almost invisible if he hadnât been looking so hard for it. The people inside are in varying states of being tossed around, upon closer inspection he can see little bloody hand prints on one of the windows.Â
âFor all of it?â Simon asks stepping closer now that heâs determined soap isnât taking the piss
âI donât really keep time when I work on them⊠Iâve been making these since⊠well since I started wearing the maskâ heâs slowly unwinding the tension out of his shoulders as he talks.Â
âBefore I just did the regular trains you know, but after⊠everything it just didn't⊠feel right anymore, didn't give me the same release, didn't feel like me.â he paused every now and again seeming to look for the right words.Â
âTherapist suggested I change what I build to make it different like how I felt different.â he says with audible mirthÂ
âNot sure this is what she meant but⊠it worked⊠so I just kept at it andâŠâ he trails off with a gesture at the wall.Â
Soap takes a minute to let that sink in, remembering the bits and pieces Ghost has let slip. He's reminded of the conversation about his mother and it kinda clicks into place. This is Simon's way of connecting the two. The inherent violence of Ghost melding with the memory of who Simon used to be. After a moment Soap moves to wrap his arms around Simon. Gently taking his face in his hands to place a sweet little peck on his lips before pulling back.
âThank you Simon, fer sharinâ this with meâ he says so quietly it's damn near a whisper.
The real genuine smile Ghost grants him is one of the most beautiful things Soaps ever seen. The rest of that leave is spent with Ghost walking through every train disaster heâs ever modeled and them fucking in every room of the house so much so the neighbor comes over to complain about the noise. Twice.Â
After they get back Soap starts to pay more attention when he gets to hang out in Simon's room on base. He never clocked it before but after Ghost shows him his little model supply drawer, he notices that ghost is constantly collecting those little aluminum mint tins. The box Simon pulls out of the back of his closet is filled with the things. All of them contain little versions of natural disasters or in several notable exceptions, a terrorist attack or two. He explains to Soap that it's easier to keep them when they are moved from base to base when his whole collection fits in a 4x4 box. He finds out Price is Ghostâs main supplier of the tins, and the ensuing laps he runs in punishment are totally worth calling Price out for the old man he is. (Gaz had to join him in his laps after hearing this and laughing so hard he had to hold the wall for support)
Later on, when Simon brought him to that little cottage in the hills with several bottles of their respective poison, no one for miles, and a bomb made of legos and live class A explosives. An idea that had been percolating was solidified into action. It took a few favors from his sister and a frankly large hit to a few of his paychecks but he would be ready the next time theyâd get to share leave.
Keeping his plan secret from Simon was harder than he thought it would be. Everytime he was lazing about in Simon's bed scribbling in his journal watching him so focused on his projects, he was so tempted to spill and tell him everything. But his opportunity came around sooner than he thought it would.Â
Price had announced after a successful round of back to back missions that the 141 had earned some R&R. Apparently there were enough happy parties in the upper brass that they felt the need to reward the taskforce for the good behavior. When the debrief was ending and everyone was piling out Soap leaned over to Ghost to offer his place up this time around. Ghost didn't need much persuading as two days later they were once again on the train north.Â
Soap only started to feel anxious as they were making their way up the foot path to the front door. In a comically similar way Soap stopped Simon before he put his keys in the lock.Â
âI have a little surprise for yeâ he says with a nervous little grin.Â
âDo you have people hanging from your ceiling? Or is there a⊠how did you say it last time⊠A wee little family I don't know about Johnny?â Simon is smiling as he pokes fun at him from the last time they did this.Â
âYouâd love that wouldnâ you, crazy bastardâ Soap chuckles. â No, nothing so devious, just a little something i've wanted to show ye for a while nowâ
Without waiting for Simon to respond he unlocks his door and pushes in, flicking on the lights. He makes his way into the front room knowing Simon is right on his six. When they are both fully in the room he steps to the side to let Simon see his surprise for the first time.
Placed right in front of the large window facing the street is a solid wooden work table. Heâd looked for quite a while to find something that would match Ghost's height if he felt like standing and would be solid enough to last for years without wear and tear. Getting his sister to watch the house while it was delivered and get the thing put together was gonna cost him some serious sibling karma but it was well worth it.Â
Along the back of the table was a small shelf containing every single color of model paint he could get his hands on. He made sure to grab the brand he remembered Simon talking about loving to use but always passing on as he thought it was too expensive. He also made sure to get the brushes he noticed were used the most when he actually was around to watch Simon work.Â
Ghost was locked in place staring in disbelief at the station, Soap isn't sure he blinks for a solid minute and a half.Â
âIs this for me?â Ghost asks sounds ten years younger as he turns to look soap in the eye.
âYeah Darlinâ course thaâs for you! If I drag you home with me I wanâ you to be able to do what makes you happy⊠I want this to feel like home for you tooâ it's said in a slight rush, like Soap is worried Simon might somehow misunderstand what this means to him.Â
Simon takes slow steps towards the table as he looks it over, running his hands on the smooth tops and feeling the sturdiness of it as he pushes on it slightly. He damn near picks up every bottle of paint to look at the colors before feeling the bristles on the brushes.Â
âJohnnyâ Simon says, it sounds a little croaky and Soap thinks hes fucked up majorly before Simon speaks again.
âI love youâ he turns to face Soap, heâs not crying, thereâs no tears, but heâs a little misty eyed.
âI love you so fucking muchâ he sets down the brush he was fiddling with as he takes quick steps to where johnny has been standing. The kiss he plants on Soap is deep and full of just about everything else Ghost didnât say. When he finally lets him come up for air Soap chuckles.
âYou like it?â Soap asks as he lightly scratches his fingers through the short hair at Simon nape.Â
âIt's fuckinâ perfect Johnnyâ he says as he goes back in for another deep kiss. It's not until the next afternoon he actually gets to use any of it.Â
(this is for @leathfaic who inspired this mess, I wrote it all then read through it but that's about the max editing its gonna get so if you see a mistake fix it in your head and keep rolling. this is my first non OC fic writing so enjoy fellas, if i ever write again it'll be a miracle)

Riize when you argue and they have to go on tour
genre: fluff, crack n kinda angst?
tw: no foolproof read!!, cursing
roxy yapps: i publicily apologise for taking so long to post smthđ with my exam's week and now christmas (having family over ALL THE TIME) i haven't had time but well, here it is!! enjoy and if u can leave some ideas for req!!
ââ . â
shotaro
after the attitude of fans at the airport and the fight he had had with you, this boy was quite a mess and was in very low spirit.
known as probably the most energetic boy on this earth, that day he would catch their fans by surprise when, even if his performance was astounding, he sounded more tired than usual and he clearly had his mind somewhere else. when he closed the door of his room in the hotel, after the concert, he made sure to send an apologise to briizes on weverse. without a second thought (after cheking the time of your country ofc) he called you.
"if you just need to, pretend we're fine until i come back home. i can't perform knowing i've fucked up and haven't made things right"
ââ . â
eunseok
after having a fight with you, eunseok sent you a message about his departure for the tour, and as he didn't receive any message back, he second guessed that you needed your space, which he decided to give. he was sure you'd reach out when you felt better but the wait was slowly killing him.
on stage, he wouldn't seem as if he just had a fight with his significant other, although he kept on thinking about his electronic device, and if it had buzzed with a message of yours. he definetely acted flirty with the camera, sending flying kisses or winks in hopes you were watching it at home and you knew they were for you.
seeing your messages on his lockscreen made his face lit up instantly, which even if he knew he would be made fun of later, he couldn't care less.
eunseok: did you see me on stage? all those flying kisses and winks were for you
ââ . â
sungchan
would definetely be pouty and with big ass moodswings.
on stage, he would be the sungchan everyone knew and loved, however, on backstage he would be (for the couple minutes they have) pouty, with his eyebrows furred and maybe even moody.
his teammates would probably need to take part in it by telling him how much you miss him. then he would call you with all his confidence built up and he would curse them out loud for setting him up.
"well, now that i've called you, let's just fix things okay? i miss you and i dont want to be abroad while having an on-going fight with you"
ââ . â
wonbin
number 1 sulky boy. he would be confident about you two fixing your diferences but he hated the thought of getting on stage and being in a fight with his first and most important supporter.
either spam messages or he would go silent because he'd be too scared to say something or do things to worsen the situation. however; he wouldn't wait for you to make the first step.
would deadass indirectly tell you things during his speech "don't forget to tell your loved ones how much you appreciate them, no matter if you're arguing or phisically distant from each other.."
would leave everyone stunned and would low-key be very proud of himself when he would see your message "call me when you have some time x"
ââ . â
seunghan
another boy with speeches however, he would take your arguing as a possibility to get you back, so he would put up a romantic act just for you to see (even if he was in front of thousands of people)
woulnd't be too worried because he was confident in deeply knowing you. he knew how you acted when you were mad and how he was supposed to act
"i've started listening to (your fav song) recently but i think it lacks some reasoning, could someone explain it to me?" "can i marry you? oh no, no, my heart can receive all the love from everyone but it can only give it to one person back"
ââ . â
sohee
he would be lost. not only about what to do, but not talking to you and being currently not in good terms, it wrecked his routine and his "normality" so he wouldn't be sure on what to do.
i feel like he would need to talk it out with another member to ask for advice on how to make things right. he would be too shy to act bold by hismelf, so that's why he recurred to talk with euseok during the flight. even if the older member told him to just call you and have a proper conversation (which he of course would do) he dedided to add his own touch.
during the concert, he would say some words or constructions you usually used and poses and gestures you usually made. he just wanted to show you that even if he hadn't reached out, he kept you wiht him everywhere, everytime, no matter what.
"please call me or text me when you can. i miss you so fucking bad and i refuse to go on like this"
ââ . â
anton
wheni tell you this boy would risk losing his flight because he didn't want to leave while you hadn't fixed things.
if he did really had to leave (or they just obligated him), he would be all the time sending you reassuring messages about how much he loves you, or maybe some memes to make you laugh.
on stage, he would be bubblier and happier than usual, but he would go viral for singing a snippet of 'the reason' of hoobastank. when the fans would ask him later on about why did he choose to sing it, he would dismiss the topic by saying that he just felt like it.
"i hope you liked it..i bet you'll even like it more when you know the boys have been making fun of me for 15 mins now"

Yuki - 16PRODUCERS Rabbit Chat
Please note that I am not a professional translator and I'm only doing this to share the side materials to those who cannot access them, if you notice any mistakes please let me know nicely. Enjoy!
Momo: (Good morning... Momo from Re:vale here...)
Momo: (Today Iâm at Yukiâs place early in the morningâŠ. To have a very exceptional conversation... Okarin, can you hear meâŠ)
Okazaki Rinto: Thank you for your hard work, Momo-kun! But whatâs with the odd energy, itâs as if youâre playing a wake-up prank?
Momo: (Iâm keeping the energy low since Yukiâs still stuck drifting in dreamlandâŠ)
Yuki: Iâm sleepy
Momo: Kyaa! Yukiâs here in person!! Even sleepy Yuki is super handsome đâš
Momo: Yuki just got up from the sofa! đ„șđ Okariiiin! How are things going in the studio?
Okazaki Rinto: Yuki-kun, thanks for your hard work as well. So Iâm supposed to be stationed in the studio?
Okazaki Rinto: The president walked out to attend a meeting just now, so itâs really quiet here. I just made some coffee!
Momo: Youâre all set for the discussion!! And guess what, Yukiâs brewing some tea for us too! đ Such a gentleman...! đâš
Momo: Camera crew, zoom in closerâŒïž
Okazaki Rinto: Thereâs a camera crew?
Momo: Iâm the camera crew!
Yuki: Momo brought two phones today for some reason.
Momo: Well yeah, since weâre gonna talk via rabbichat today I wouldnât be able to capture your beautiful face otherwise!!! So I brought my spare phone to record you đđ
Yuki: How dedicated
Okazaki Rinto: How very dedicated.
Momo: Hey wait a sec, I just noticed while I was snapping pics but is your neck hurting, Yuki!?!?!?!?!?
Yuki: You caught me. I probably slept wrong.
Yuki: I fell asleep at the desk while I was composing and now I canât turn my head to the right
Momo: Huhhhh!!!! Then Iâll sit on your right side to protect your neck!!
Yuki: Absolutely not. I wonât be able to see your face
Momo: Wait a sec,,,,,,
Momo: Yuki, arenât you pulling the Super Darling gun a bit too early in the morningâŠ.being this beautiful should be illegal!?!?!? đđ
Yuki: Only for you, Momo.
Yuki: But what exactly are you protecting my neck from?
Momo: Oh you know, a stray baseball flying in from the right, or someone bumping into you and making you stumble!!
Yuki: Thatâs straight out of a manga.
Yuki: So what would you do if a water bucket came flying in from the left?
Momo: Iâll dash to block it and say something like âclose callâŠâ!!! lolololol
Momo: Wait, Yuki, whyâs your manga knowledge so extensive!?!?
Yuki: Ruri-san made me read some when I visited your house.
Momo: What the hell is nee-san plotting lololololol
Yuki: It was pretty interesting.
Okazaki Rinto: Iâm glad you seem to be enjoying yourselves over there! Now then, shall we get started?
Momo: Sorry Okarin lolololol weâre sitting across from each other and ready to start đ€©Â
Okazaki Rinto: Good! They requested a laid-back, relaxed conversation for this, thatâs why weâre doing it through rabbichat.
Okazaki Rinto: Letâs start with Yuki-kun, how did you feel when you heard that Momo-kun was going to produce your song?
Yuki: I was really happy of course. Momo always gives me energy with his warm words, so I was curious about what kind of melody he would give me through this production.
Yuki: Momoâs very good at conveying his feelings, so I always felt like heâd have a knack for creating music that resonates with people, something that lingers in their minds and stays in their hearts, warm and comforting.
Okazaki Rinto: I seeâŠ! Thatâs a perspective only someone who regularly composes music would have.
Momo: Oh you... You always make me happy with your words, Yuki đ„Č
Momo: But to be honest, it was suuuuper stressfulâŠ.
Yuki: Really? Even though âCanât Stop Emotionâ turned out amazing.
Momo: Yuki,,,,
Yuki: Itâs tough, but also a lot of fun, right? Making music I mean.
Momo: Yeah. It was a lot of fun.
Momo: I didnât fully compose the song myself since it was a team effort, so I didnât fully understand everything you do but
Momo: Having to convey my feelings through something other than words and gestures was super difficult, but I was so happy. How do I explain it⊠I treasure that feeling!
Yuki: I can relate
Yuki: Whenever Iâm working on a new song, I start cursing everything around me. I contemplate never working on anything like that ever again, quitting songwriting altogether. But when Iâm finished and I hear Momoâs voice on the song, I realize that âah, thereâs no other job that could make me happier than this.â
Momo: Yuki,,,Can I sit next to you,,,,?
Yuki: This position is very comfortable.
Momo: Awwww âŒïž I got rejected đâŒïž
Okazaki Rinto: So Momo-kun, how did you decide on what direction to take amidst all your hard work?
Momo: First and foremost, I thought about what kind of Yuki I wanted to portray! Like the Yuki whoâs not a morning person, the Yuki whoâs super proactive when it counts, the Yuki whoâs sensitive and overflowing with emotion, the Yuki whoâs amazing at cooking, super into cleaning, whoâs just a kind, dashing gentleman with a beautiful voiceâŠ
Momo: But at the end of the day, I wanted to shine the spotlight on Yukiâs passion for music. A quiet, calm, yet fiercely unwavering flame. I wanted to express that dignified strength and the freedom in his boundless music.
Momo: And thatâs the reason why the intro is quiet and minimalistic, but as the chorus hits, the music bursts forth like itâs flying, flapping its wings, dancing, being set free, going on a journey! Those are the feelings that resonate within me when I listen to the music Yuki makes for me!
Yuki: You really put a lot of thought into this
Yuki: You have real talent, Momo
Momo: Huhhh???!!! you donât have to flatter meee đ even though that makes me happy đâš
Yuki: Iâm serious.
Momo: Y-You really made your point come across...
Okazaki Rinto: What on earth just happened over there?
Momo: Yuki sat down next to me đ„čđ„č
Yuki: I made sure to face him from the side that doesnât hurt.
Yuki: Itâs just as you described, Momo. When I got the demo, I was moved by how the song felt like it was taking me on an ever-changing journey.
Yuki: I felt the same way I did the day you brought me out of that dark place, showing me so many new and different sides of this world.
Yuki: Maybe thatâs why the song felt familiar to me.
Momo: Youâre the one who changed my world, Yuki!
Momo: Back when I thought there was only one path for me, when I felt trapped and depressed, I came across the music you wrote.
Momo: It warmed my frozen body, frigid to the tips of my fingers, brought color back to my world, and filled me with the urge to move ahead, to be passionate about something.
Momo: I poured all those feelings from back then, how I feel now, as well as my desire for us to always stay at the top into the lyrics!
Yuki: I wouldnât have been able to move forward if not for your words.
Yuki: I felt like giving up on everything at some point, I couldâve thrown it all away. But youâve always been there to save me. Thatâs why itâs all for y-
Yuki: No
Yuki: Nevermind, I donât think I can say that right now, but I will tell you this
Yuki: "Canât Stop Emotion" will be my treasure, always and forever.
Yuki: Stay by my side and keep singing with me, Momo. Youâre the absolute king, unparalleled by anyone.
Momo: Okay,,,
Momo: A long, heartfelt message from Yuki,,,Iâm eating so well,,,
Okazaki Rinto: What a wonderful day for you two to be honest with each other. Iâll keep supporting Re:vale forever and beyond!
Okazaki Rinto: Alright, can you please tell us more about the costume?
Momo: Sure!!! First of all, Yukiâs like a snow fairy who descended upon us during winter, so I pictured the stars shining brightly in the clear winter night sky đȘđ§ââïžâïž
Yuki: A fairy, huh?
Momo: Youâre such a beautiful fairy that your face stands out amidst the clashing patterns! I wanted to show off your gorgeous sex appeal, thatâs why I decided to express that with a variety of intricate patternsđ«
Momo: And then I added chiffon material to the jacket to evoke the image of the starry sky, with scattered, shiny silver details all over, paired it with slim-fit pants to accentuate Yukiâs figure and balance the outfit for a sharp, smart look!! đ«
Yuki: Your fingers move so fast when youâre talking about me that itâs impressive
Momo: Well I am talking about Yuki after all đđ
Okazaki Rinto: Thank you for the passionate explanation! What about the details in the photoshoot itself?
Momo: Didnât it look like a snow fairy had descended!? đȘđ§ââïžâïž I really wanted to make it snow for real, but I didnât want Yuki to feel cold, I was thinking about what to do and then it hit meâŠ
Momo: Why not use light to represent that snow!? And thatâs how we got Yuki, sparking gorgeously like the handsome man he is đ
Yuki: Everything was dazzling for realÂ
Momo: Thatâs how much Yuki shines in my eyes! From the first time we met until now! Forever and always!!
Yuki: Really? Youâre always shining bright, Momo.
Momo: For real!? đ„č Then we can always enjoy that light together đ
Yuki: Thatâs true ^^
Okazaki Rinto: Itâs Christmas, so that works perfectly!
Momo: I love how youâre always watching from a distance without interrupting when weâre like this, Okarin đ„č
Okazaki Rinto: Iâm flattered! As much as Iâd love to see more of your shenanigans, itâs time for you to say a few words to your fansâŠ!
Momo: "Canât Stop Emotion" is like a selfish wish of mine. It doesnât portray the gentle, idol-like Yuki. Instead fully expressing my admiration, my love for him, my passion and my promise to keep going as the kings.
Momo: So, I hope our fans listen to this song and continue supporting us, forever and ever. Weâll fly towards the miracle waiting for us tomorrow!
Yuki: Momo called it âa selfish songâ, so I want everyone to know how elated I am and how tremendously important it is to me that Momoâs being this selfish.
Yuki: And I feel so much more determined now that this song has been gifted to me. Iâll continue to be the absolute champion, together with Momo. And I hope all of you will follow us.
Yuki: Thanks to Momo, Iâve rediscovered the joy of creating music. I know what itâs like to push through everything to go on, to aim higher and higher. Thatâs why Re:vale is invincible.
Yuki: Thereâs no one greater than us, is there? Letâs move towards the future we want to see with you, with everyone.
Momo: Yuukiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Yuki: Momoâs crying now.
Okazaki Rinto: Maybe heâs still hung up on the fact that you couldnât wipe his tears last time!? (1)
Yuki: Todayâs a Re:valeful day, so come over when youâre done, Okarin.
Okazaki Rinto: What do you have in mind?
Momo: Oh yeah, weâre gonna rewatch all our past live performances! Weâre gonna reminisce over drinks! (àč>ŰâąÌàč)đ
Yuki: It felt like the right time to reflect on everything weâve done so far, especially fresh off producing songs for each other.
Okazaki Rinto: Is it really okay for me to intrude on such a special day...?
Momo: Of course! Re:valeâs journey would be incomplete with you, Okarin!
Yuki: Re:valeâs what it is because youâre here with us.
Okazaki Rinto: Thank you so much! Iâll bring something tasty with me!!
Momo: Hell yeah! Then, letâs chat until morning!! đ„ł

To say you were overly excited to meet up with your high school friends would be a total lie. When you told Noah they arranged a lunch date, to remember the good old days, he scoffed, and asked you why you even stayed in the group chat with these people.
Truth is, they weren't all bad. Acually, most of them were pretty nice, It was the Regina George of the group, also known as Jade, who fucked up the vibes.
Jade was a mean girl, and she never understood why you were friends with the awkward emo kid, with the side-swept bangs. This emo kid being your best friend, Noah Sebastian, who was the first person you met when you enrolled in a new school, in the middle of the school year.
It was 6th grade, and you had just moved to Richmond, VA. Your dad was transferred, so you had to find a new home, in a new city.
You and Noah became friends fast, being paired up by your English teacher during reading classes, you talked more than you actually read. He found out, that even though it didn't look like it, you enjoyed the same bands as he did. And that you learned to play acoustic guitar from a pretty young age.
You told him that your dad was in a band during his college years, but, due to adult responsabilities, it became more of a hobby for him than anything else.
Soon, the two of you were inseparable. Walking down school corridors together, him going to your house to do homework, and showing you around the city on the weekends.
You were the one who took school more seriously than him, and you were the one who ended up going to college and getting your Master's degree right after. But he was the one who always took you to watch his band practice, who took you to watch his friends - who were always much older than the two of you - perform.
When you were both 15, Noah told you he was going to drop out of high school. You weren't too happy, because you wouldn't have your best friend with you anymore, but you always knew the time would come, and were surprised he didn't decide to do it much sooner.
And that's how you met Jade and her friends. You weren't popular by any means, but, one day, she approached you and asked you how you styled your hair so nicely, and how she loved your pink tips.
You wanted to tell her that your best friend helped you. When you told Noah you wanted a splash of color in your hair, he went to the store with you to buy the necessary things. He wanted you to do purple, but you settled on pink. You remember him huffing in annoyance, telling you that pink was such a boring color.
At home, he helped you with the back of your head, while you spread the vivid color on the front pieces. It turned out amazing, and you joked that he could be a hair stylist if this band thing didn't work out.
Noah and Jade never really got along. The first day they met, Noah was picking you up from school, waiting for you in the parking lot. You remember Jade making a backhanded remark about his tattoos and the way he dresses, and Noah's face turned sour immediately.
After that, anytime they were in the same vicinity, shady comments were thrown by both of them. Noah always commenting about how the bleach in her hair must've gotten to her brain, and Jade commenting about how Noah was a wannabe rockstar.
Noah asked you many times why you kept her around, instead of dumping her and finding new friends, and you always explained how it wasn't that easy.
This was high school, and everyone already had their group of friends, not really being keen on letting other people in. Besides, without him there, and without the girls, you truly had no one else.
At the end of the day, he understood. Noah himself had a hard time making friends, and to this day, he never understood how someone like you decided to befriend him. He knew how being solitary could ruin your years in high school.
Now, sitting in this overpriced lunch spot they found downtown, you were contemplating your life choices as you tried to eat your Caeser salad without grimacing. All of them ordered fucking salads, and you did the same, not wanting to be the only one ordering chicken parm.
"Girlies", Jade said, wiping her mouth with a napking and setting it back down on her lap. "I know this is a reunion, but I have such good news", she clapped her hands excitedly. Typical Jade, always wanting the attention on her.
Everyone stopped eating to pay attention to what she was saying.
"So, you know how Peter proposed to me last year, right?", everyone nodded yes. "We're getting married in two months!", she exclaimed, reaching inside her Louis Vitton bag and pulling out what seemed to be wedding invitations. "And all of you are invited!"
The girls cheered and started to hug her, you did the same, expressing your happines for your friend.
"It's going to be in the Bahamas, in an all-inclusive resort", she informed, handing out the wedding invitations. Meanwhile, you were wondering with what money you were getting your ass to the Bahamas.
"Peter is paying all the expenses, for everyone, so don't even worry about it", she said, as if reading your thoughts.
Jade got engaged to the kind of person everyone thought she was going to date. Peter was a hot shot plastic surgeon based in LA. You had no doubt he racked up millions of dollars every month just fixing people's faces. Jade herself had something new done everytime you met up.
"What about you, Y/N? Who are you bringing as your plus one?", Emma asked. You guess you zoned out and missed part of the conversation.
"You're bringing your boyfriend, right?", Lily chimed in.
Did they even know if you had a boyfriend or not? You looked around the table, all the girls waiting for your answer. You didn't know what to say. Suddenly, your eyes noticed all of their beautiful engagement rings, and you didn't have the courage to say you were still single.
"Yeah, of course", you answered, hoping you were convincing.
"Uhh, that's amazing! Who is he?", Jade asked, excitment coating her voice.
Shit. Who the fuck would you say is your boyfriend?
"Noah", you said. He was the first person to come to mind, and you didn't hesitate to say his name.
You saw Jade's face twist in a frown.
"You're dating Noah?", she asked, judgment evident in her tone.
"Hmm, yeah, for a while now", you were lying through your teeth at this point.
"Well", she shrugged. "I guess it was always gonna happen anyways", and just like that, the rest of the girls went back to their conversations, while you mulled over what the hell you had just done.
You were already gonna tell Noah to come with you to the wedding the moment she handed out the invitations, which, was going to be a difficult task in itself, since Noah held a grudge against Jade to this day. But you were sure you could convince him with the all-inclusive resort argument.
Now, not only did you have to convince him to go with you, but you had to tell him you told the girls you were dating?
You were already thinking of excuses not to go.
When everyone was finished with their meals, they slowly started to say their goodbyes. You did the same, giving each one of them a kiss on the cheek as you made your way out of the restaurant and to your car.
When you got in, you instantly fished your phone from your purse, dialing Noah's number.
"You need saving from the botox bitch?", Noah answered the phone. You rolled your eyes, but laughed anyway.
"I'm already leaving the restaurant, actually. I was calling to ask if I can come over"
"Since when do you call to ask if you can come over?", he asked, confusion in his voice. He was right, you usually just showed up.
"I don't know? To make sure you're home?"
"You know I'm always home"
"Can I comer over or not?", you asked again, a hint of fake annoyance in your voice.
"Of course you can"
"Then I'll see you in fifteen", you said, hanging up the phone and starting your car.
On the way over to Noah's house, you've been thinking about how you were going to break the news. You still had a little while to think about what you were going to tell him, but, you knew that as soon as he saw your face, he'd know you were hiding something from him.
So, without an actual plan, you decided to tell him today. That way, you wouldn't have to torture youself for days with this information, and you gave him more time to prepare. That is, if he even decided to go.
You trusted your abilities to convince him, though. Noah had a history of doing whatever you wanted just to see you happy, and you never took advantage of that, but desperate times call for for desperate measures. Besides, a vacation to the Bahamas, with all expenses paid, didn't seem all that bad. Even if you had to endure Jade for a few days.
Parking outside, you gave yourself a pep talk before leaving your car and locking it behind you. Using your spare key, you unlocked the front door and made your way inside the living room, announcing your arrival by calling Noah's name.
"I'm right here, what are you yelling for?", he answered from the couch, the PS5 controller in his hands. You just shrugged in answer, and sat next to him.
Grabbing your purse, you pulled out the fancy wedding invitation Jade had handed to you, and set it on the couch beside him and between the two of you. Grabbing it and reading what was written in gold letters, Noah's eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"Oh, so the queen of botox is getting married to the king of botox?", you gave him a sideways glance, but smiled at his nicknames for the couple. It did suit them, after all.
"Yeah, they are. Jade couldn't help but announce it today", you pointed out.
"Well, are you going?", he asked, setting the invitation back down.
"Hmm. It depends, I guess", you answered, avoiding his eyes and you could tell he already clocked that something is wrong.
"Why?", he asked, a little hesitant.
"Jade said we can bring a plus one"
"Yeah, you usually can at weddings"
"And I was thinking....", you trailed off and looked at him, seeing the exact moment the realization dawned on him, and he immediately started to shake his head.
"There is no way", he said, getting up from the couch and walking over to the kitchen. You got up as well and went after him.
"Why not?", you asked him, a little bit of whining in your voice.
"Are you seriously asking 'why not'?"
"I mean, I know you don't like her, but c'mon, this is gonna be a nice wedding. Besides, it's in the Bahamas, and Peter is paying for everything", you argued.
"Is it's because it's in the Bahamas, I can pay for a vacation for us in the Bahamas, no problem", he crossed his arms against his chest.
"It's not because of that"
"Y/N", he stepped closer towards you. "You know you can just go alone, right?"
"I can't go alone", you huffed in annoyance, because his argument was totally valid, but you did not have that option anymore, all because of your big mouth and will to please everyone.
"Why not?", he asked, confusion etched all over his face.
"Because...", your shoulders slumped as you realized the gravity of your mistake.
"Hey", he grabbed your shoulders, sensing your discomfort. You were never uncomfortable around him, so this behaviour from you scared him a little bit. "You can tell me, what is it?"
"I told them I have a boyfriend", you say, voice low and a little embarassed.
"But you don't have a boyfriend", he observed the obvious, having difficulty in understanding where you were going with this.
"I told them it was you", you looked down towards the floor, fingers going to rub your forehead as you waited for his reaction. The seconds ticked by, and the silence ate you alive.
"You...", he started, but stopped himself in his tracks, head going over what you just told him, to make sure he got it right. "You told them we were dating?", you answered with a head nod, still looking down.
"Y/N", he said your name with a little bit of annoyance lacing his tone. He looked up at the ceiling, as if willing the heavens to give him the strength to deal with you.
"I know, I know", you say, looking up at him. "It was just that they were drilling me about this and I didn't know what to do!"
"Tell them you're not dating anyone?", he deadpanned, and you hated that he kept stating the obvious.
"Yeah, but they already see me as the odd one out, what are they gonna think when I tell them that I'm almost thirty and not dating anyone? They're all engaged, for fucks sake!", you exclaimed and started to pace around the kitchen.
"You worry about what they think of you too much", Noah pointed out. He hated the way you felt like you always had to please them, they way you always thought you had to fit in into their world.
"It's ok, I'll just come up with an excuse so I don't have to go to the wedding", you waved your hand, dismissing this conversation. You were already feeling your head start to throb. You made your way to the couch, grabbing your purse, and the invitation.
Behind you, you hear Noah let out a big breath, before softly calling out your name. You stopped in front of the door and turned around to face him.
"You owe me big fucking time", he pointed a finger at you, and you couldn't help but let a smile dance over your lips.
"You're gonna do this?", you asked, a little doubtful.
"You're doing my laundry for two weeks", he comprimised. "No, three weeks. Fuck it, you're doing my laundry for a whole fucking month"
You cheered at this, not minding it one bit. His laudry was easy since he only had black clothes.
You skipped your way over to him, reaching your arms up and circling them around his neck to pull him into a hug. You couldn't see, but he had a smile on his lips as well.
At this moment, Noah thinks he would do just about anything to keep you happy.
"At least she can't make fun of your hair anymore", you observed, as you parted from him. He groaned in reply.
"Don't fucking push it", he warned you, but there was no real threat to his words.
"Oh!", you snapped your fingers as you remembered an important information about the wedding. "I forgot to tell you something"
"What is it?", he asked, looking at you sideways in suspiscion.
"It's at an all-inclusive resort", you wiggled your eyebrows suggestively. "Besides", you continued "Jade's probably gonna invite so many people, we won't even cross paths with her", you observed.
"I hope you're right"
To say you had a lot of time to prepare was a lie. Time flew by incredibly fast, and in between work, choosing a dress and picking up a suit for Noah - who complained endlessly about having to wear it, you argued that he can't wear a black tank top to a wedding, and he huffed and puffed even more - you were only one day away from boarding the plane.
You were going over everything in your suitcase. Another thing Noah was going to complaing about, you can hear his voice in your head asking you why you needed so much stuff. You zipped it up when you decided that obsessively thinking if you forgot anything was not going to make you magically remember something.
You texted Noah that you were ready for him to pick you up. You both decided it was best if you slept over at his house, and he was asking one of the boys to drive you over to the airport for practical reasons.
It wasn't too long before you heard honking outside, signaling Noah's arrival. You took everything you needed, and looked around you to make sure you locked everything up, and when you were satisfied with your quick inspection, you walked over and opened the front door.
Noah was opening the trunk when he saw you.
"Don't say anything", you raised your hand up to stop the words you were sure were going to stumble from his lips. He raised his arms up in surrender and didn't say anything. But, he did make overexaggerated grunting noises as he hauled your bags inside the trunk. You ignored him and went to lock your front door instead.
Getting in the car and driving away, you pulled your phone from your pocket.
"Jade already texted the flight information", you observed.
"At least she's competent", he retorted.
"Imma need you to try and be civil, at least. Remember we're going to enjoy the beach and drinks", you reminded him of what you've been saying for the past weeks. "And you can't call them botox queen and botox king".
"If she doesn't talk shit about my tattoos, we'll be fine", he argued back.
"Her husband has tattoos", you pointed out, as if that makes the situation any better.
"I bet it's some fine line pussy ass tattoo of a lion or some shit like that", he grunted in annoyance, remembering he's gonna have to deal with Jade AND her husband.
"You know what?", you rubbed you chin in thought. "I think it actually is", you pondered, and you both couldn't help but cackle out loud about the fact that he was most likely right about the tattoo.
The rest of the day went on without a hitch. You ordered some food so you didn't get any pans or pots dirty before traveling, and soon, you were both ready for bed, since you were leaving pretty early in the morning to catch your flight.
You were getting comfortable in Noah's left side of the bed, when he came in the room, dressed in sweatpants and a hoodie, joining you under the covers.
Plugging your phone to charge, you turn to look at him, doing the same.
"Did you set the alarm?", you asked and he hummed a yes. "Did you set it really loud?", he hummed in reply once again.
He knew you got anxious whenever you had to do something important in the morning. You always thought some entity was going to disable the alarms you set on your phone and you wouldn't wake up in time.
"Don't worry, we'll get there with lots of time to spare", he reassured you, and opened his arms so you could lay against his chest.
Sleep found you easily, as it always did whenever you and Noah slept on the same bed. You were used to sleeping in an empty house, since you've been living on your own ever since you moved for college. But to say your sleep was calm and serene was a lie.
With him, you felt safer, like he could protect you from everything and anything. You trusted him more than you trusted anyone else in your life.
Noah, wasn't as tired as you were, and he contemplated how these days were going to go over as he waited for your breath to even out. It was a ritual of sorts whenever you two slept together. He always waited for you to fall asleep first. And, sometimes, when you had difficulty sleeping, he sang some soft tunes, or rubbed your scalp the way he knew you liked, and that always did the trick.
Next time you woke up, was with Noah's shrill alarm ringing on the bedside table. He really did set it really loud, because you were groaning and telling him to turn it off. He woke up with a yawn, disentangling his arm from under your torso to finally quiet the alarm.
Yawning and stretching your limbs all over the bed, you heard Noah chuckle beside you.
"You're like a damn cat, stretching like that", he pointed out, looking at you with a smile on his face.
He always thought you were the most adorable in the morning. Your hair was a little messed up, and your eyes were all tired and fighting sleep. A part of him wished he could just pull you back to rest beside him and resume sleep. But, the trip from hell awaited the two of you.
Getting up from the bed, he announced he was going to brush his teeth and take a shower, meanwhile, you busied yourself gathering all of the suicases and backpacks downstairs.
As soon as Noah left the bathroom, you went in there and did your morning routine as well as you could with your stuff all packed away. Luckily, you kept a few things over at his place for convenience.
Changing into something comfortable for the airport, you made your way downstairs and found Noah dressed in usual sweatpants and hoodie combo.
"Did you grab your sleep mask? I won't lend you mine this time", you told him. Last time, you had to endure a whole flight without your sleep mask, because Noah had forgotten his, and you had no heart to tell him no when he asked to borrow yours.
"Yes, ma'am. I grabbed my sleep mask", he answered. "I already texted Jolly, and he's on his way to pick us up".
"Did you lock everything up?"
"Yep, already checked the entire house while you were showering"
Noah was used to this. You had a ritual everytime you were travelling, and he learned that getting ahead of you was the best thing to do. That way, you wouldn't get stressed with things he didn't do, or forgot.
Right on cue, you heard a horn souding outside, Noah opened the door and was greeted with Jolly waving from inside the car.
"Ok, let's go", you clapped your hands in a "chop chop" motion.
On the way to the airport, Noah and Jolly chatted on the front seat, while you went over the flight details on your phone, making sure everything was in order for check-in. Noah hated airports, so he left you in charge of everything he found boring.
The drive was short, and soon, you were bidding Jolly goodbye at the drop off zone, and you didn't miss the little pat on the back and the "good luck" he wished Noah before getting back in his car and driving away.
Checking-in, you and Noah found a place to sit while he grabbed some breakfast for the two of you. While you sat there, eating and waiting, you were reminded of a very important detail that you forgot to discuss with him.
"Oh, my God! I totally forgot to talk to you about something", you exclaimed, swatting him in the chest to get his attention.
"This is the second time you forgot to tell me something about this wedding trip", he said.
"When they ask us how we got together, what are we gonna tell them?", you ask him. You've been going over all the lies you'd need to tell during this trip, and you realized that you and Noah didn't have a game plan at all.
"That one day, you professed your undying love for me and then we started to date?", he said, as if the answer was obvious, but you could tell he was sprinkling a little bit of sarcasm in there.
"I'm serious, Noah", you huffed, looking at him. "We have to be beliveable, otherwise, they'll catch on, and ruin the whole thing"
"We can just tell them that we realized we wanted to have something more than just a friendship", he suggested, and the idea wasn't so bad. Jade always said you'd end up together from how much time you spend with each other.
"Out of nowhere?"
"No, we've been hiding our feelings, thinking that the other didn't feel the same way, until, one day, I told you I liked you and you told me you liked me too", you rubbed your chin, thinking over his plan. "It's not overcomplicated and if we stick to the same story, we'll be fine", he reassued you. "Besides, Jade is so self-absorbed she'll probably not even ask anything about us at all"
"That's very likely", you agreed with his reasoning. After all, it was Jade's wedding, so the light is gonna be on her, and not on you and Noah.
"What about PDA?", you broached another subject that you've been avoiding.
"If you wanna kiss me, you can just ask, you know?", he teased you, nudging you with his shoulder.
"It's not what I meant, and you know it", you told him, but you weren't able to hide the little blush covering your cheeks, and he noticed too, by the way he was grinning.
"I can hold your hand. I mean, I kind of already do. But let's just go with the flow. You don't have to worry too much about this, it's just a couple of days, after all", he said, and he was right. You and Noah meshed well and were usually in the same wavelength, so there was no reason to think things were going to go south.
You just hoped you had time to relax and enjoy the beach, the drinks and the foods, which, if you knew Jade as well as you did, were going to be impeccable.

You mentioned in a post a while ago an RPG maker game that was so bad it inspired you to start a project that could execute some of its ideas better (iirc), I read the post and immediately recognized the game you were talking about. It's always occupied a weird space in my mind as an oddity of a game that didn't really have any reason to exist, so if you don't mind i'd love to hear more of your thoughts on it.
The project has been on hold (like my 132476 other projects) but yeah!
So first of all I won't be sharing the name of this game because I don't wanna send unnecessary hate its way. Like, making a game and putting it out there is huge, and I'd hate to send a bunch of negativity towards it, and if I find that one of my followers went to it and review-bombed it, then I hold more contempt for that person than the people who made this game.
That said, the crux of the game was you were controlling the main character of the game, but the main character was aware of the fact that you are controlling their actions and as communicating with you about what you need to do. Not a bad concept. I really liked it! The problem came with execution.
There's a lot of specific parts of it that I could point to, but it can really be summed up by the opening. The girl wakes up and does the standard "whoa! what? why did I stand up like this? I-I didn't do that!!" and then a text box appears and responds to her saying "yeah, that was me". Then when you try to leave the hospital, the mc says "wait a minute, maybe we should inspect These Three Spots first!" and then the game turns you around, followed by the text box responding "ugh...fine....".
There are two big problems here in my mind. First of all, this powerful idea of you controlling the main character and the main character being aware creates this sort of connection between the player and the main character (one that I think we'll see more of as Toby releases more of Deltarune, although this game came out a few years earlier), and the issue is that when the game itself gives the player dialogue, that really undercuts it. Like, later in the story, the player dialogue flirts with the mc, which is something I know I wouldn't do as a player. So it's not so much that you're a player controlling the main character who is aware, but you're a player controlling a ghost that is controlling the main character, and the main character is aware of the ghost, but the ghost is not the player.
The second big issue is a lot more understandable because you have to tell a story, but it's very silly to have the main character go "oh my god you have control over my every action!!" and then when you try to leave an area early, the main characters says "no don't do that yet" and then disallows you from leaving the area.
Just to gush about my ideas for this, my project idea was to make all verbal communication be one-way, while finding other ways to communicate. For example, when the main character first wakes up, they realize "oh shit I'm not controlling my body!!" and then he says "alright, well weird ghost controlling me...I don't know what to call you....so tell you what, walk me over to that desk. There's a pen and paper. Use my body to write your name" which determines the name on your file.
But here's the fun part. Let's say you decide "no, I'm not gonna do that". You can just walk out of the room. If you do, the main character just goes "um...okay? Fine then. I'm gonna call you 'Jerkface'" and the name on your file is "Jerkface", and he calls you Jerkface for the rest of the game. (And maybe if you go back, he goes "oh? what's the matter? don't like being called Jerkface? what? does that seem kinda rude? impolite maybe? almost as impolite as just TAKING CONTROL OF MY BODY WITHOUT TELLING ME YOUR NAME FIRST????")
Needless to say, I have a lot of ideas for this, I just need to execute them, and for all my complaints towards this game, I absolutely respect that they made it happen.

Let's just answer the whole damn list.
1: How many fics have you worked on since January?
I've got the ever present dal segno al coda that I've always been working on this year. However, in May, I came up with the concepts that turned into The Insurgent King and this has kind of taken over EVERYTHING in my mind.
I also got a couple of Ys fics out, a pretty dark story for Van Arkride, and a couple of one shot stories for FFXV.
2: Whatâs something new that you tried in a fic this year?
đ MAFIA đ ADJACENT đ
Insurgent King has been SO MUCH FUN because it's really delving a lot into the dark underbelly of stuff. I also got to use my AP style from Endless History in a fic with The King's Interview in that series.
But in general, writing has been amazingly therapeutic for me. It was something I started after my mom's death in 2022 as a bit of personal therapy. I think having time to be in make believe worlds writing fantasy and adventure when it sometimes feels like my world is falling apart has helped me more than you can believe.
Additionally, an upcoming story that I've been planning for Insurgent King is straight up a heist story, ala Oceans 11 and so forth. I've never done something like this before and it has been the craziest thing I've had to plan. And it's the one story that doesn't have a shit ton of stuff already written for it, since the heist needs to be so carefully put together.
I'm SO excited for that story to finally get released. I can't wait for people to read it because it's been so much fun to plan.
3: What piece of media inspired you the most? (This can be the fandom you wrote the most for, the one that spawned the most ideas, the one you thought about the most, etc.)
Final Fantasy XV seems to be the game to keep on giving me a lot of inspiration for ideas. However, I've been finding inspiration for my stories in so many things all over the place.
Trails Through Daybreak has served as much of a supportive 'vibe check' for Insurgent King, as an example. Watching through Tower of God's S2 anime has reminded me of how COOL that comic is and since I've started writing, I've started finding a whole new appreciation for fiction and other stories all over the place. The biggest influence this year, though, has been from old TV shows ala Lost and Stargate, both of which have been an immense inspiration for the storytelling method behind Insurgent King. Look at it like a serialized TV series and the way I'm writing it will probably make a lot more sense.
4: How many fandoms did you write for this year?
For things published, three: Final Fantasy XV, Ys, and Trails.
For things that are still in my WIPs bin? Lost Universe, No Man's Sky, and Helldivers.
5: What ships captured your heart?
I adore Lunoct - but I fully understand that my bias comes from working on dal segno al coda, which is kind of my baby. I can't wait to start releasing it, because Noctis and Lunafreya are the quintessential power couple in it, and fate does not want them together because of the shit they can do when united in it.
6: What characters captured your heart?
I know this was from something I released last year, but it was at the very end of the year, and it still carried over through this year: Anemona from Ys IX. I would not have written anything for her if it wasn't for the Yuletide exchange.
I've also found myself loving the hell out of writing Gladio in my FFXV fics. He's started to become one of the easiest characters for me to write, even.
Also, writing in the point of view of Regis in The King's Gambit. I want to write something that's far more enjoyable for him than the ball of anxiety he was in that fic. Shit was going poorly and he had to change everything to make it go less poorly in that story. I just want something with him being happy.
7: Did you write for any new fandoms or ships this year?
I hadn't written/released anything for the Trails series, strangely enough, until I wrote Cannot Deny His Sleepless Eyes. I have another fic that I've been dabbling with that's Trails from Zero/Trails to Azure, but I'm not far enough to really call anything for it.
8: What fic meant the most to you to write?
The Cordelia Manifest.
This was the first fic of the Insurgent King series. Think of it like the pilot for a TV series. I wrote it based on vibes I got while listening to music from Bubblegum Crisis. While doing so, I realized that I love this setting a LOT and really needed to delve into it more and explain out how Insomnia fell and Noctis became a king of the criminal underworld in it.
9. What fic made you feel the happiest to work on?
Lost and Found.
This was my fic in the FFXV Remix event that happened earlier this year. I had so much fun reading a fic called The new guy by MiraNjell and chose it for my remix fic.
A lot of this was pulled from my own personal experiences from getting a new puppy this year.
10: What fic was the most satisfying to finish writing?
The Insurgent King.
In this case, not the series, but the fic named for the series. This is my longest published fic on AO3, and I felt so proud of actually getting it done.
11: What fic was the most difficult to write?
ad astra is one of my FFXV wips. I've come and go with it several times, but since it delves very hard into concepts that are "beyond human understanding" and kind of delves a bit into cosmic horror⊠it's easily one of the most difficult projects ahead of me. I want to read more cosmic/eldritch horror before I try to write more of it, and I really want to become a much better writer to do this concept justice.
With what I released, it would be Cannot Deny His Sleepless Eyes. I've never written whump before and this was somewhat uncomfortable as it has a lot of heavily implied child abuse. It's only 400'ish words, but I didn't want to expand on it any further.
12: What fic was the easiest to write?
Infiltration! I just sat on the ending for ages, and then decided "boom" and knocked that shit out in a couple of hours. A lot of Noctis and Prompto's interactions remind me very much of the same kind of 'two friends who lose all brain cells when together' friendship that I have with my best friend.
In fact, the "be quiet" aspect of Infiltration was actually based on a real bet with my best friend from years and years ago.
13: What were your shortest and longest fics posted this year?
Shortest: Cannot Deny His Sleepless Eyes - 414 words
Longest: The Insurgent King (story, not series.) - 62,638
14: What were your go-to writing songs?
I made a whole ass playlist for Insurgent King.
15: What was the hardest fic to title?
Filed Away. I still am not 100% happy with the title.
16: What's your favorite title of the year?
There's an upcoming story in my Insurgent King series called A Field of Flowers. I love everything about this title. I can't wait for people to see just why it's an amazing title, too.
17: Share your favorite opening line
Ring ring. Ring ring. Ring ring. Click. "Fisherman's Lighthouse." "Good⊠[afternoon], this is an automated call from Concordo Shipping. Your freight parcel has been scanned in at⊠[Pier Lots Warehouse] and will be ready for pick up in⊠[forty-eight hours]. Failure to pick up your parcel⊠[one week] after its release will see that your parcel is forfeâ" Click.
The above is the opening from Observator, one of the side stories in Insurgent King. I love it because I think you can hear the automated voice on the line.
18: Share your favorite ending line
Voices echoed through Regis' quickly fading consciousness. He saw the flash of blue, glimmering magic in front of him. He couldn't make out the words from the woman's voice â it sounded as if he was under water. He had no time. He held his left hand up to her. He needed the ring to be noticed immediately. "Take it." His strength faded fast. "Take it toâŠ" But Regis Lucis Caelum never got out that last word before he died on the steps of the Citadel.
The above is the ending (before the super short epilogue) of The King's Gambit, the third story of the Insurgent King series. Regis' death is a catalyst to everything in the series, and I wanted the story that was in his POV to end abruptly as he died. There would be no more 'voice' for the POV any longer, afterall.
19: Share your favorite piece of dialogue
"It's not home." Noct said as he crossed the room and started to poke through the bag. It's dinner, but instead of commenting on the food, he mused out loud, "I'm surprised, though. Ignis is usually super critical when I'm too lax about hiding my identity." "You could make it easier and introduce me to them as your cousin Gladio Gar." "No." Noct stopped, then looked up. He sounded a lot sharper than he initially intended, but continued with it, "Don't. That's my thing." Gladio leaned back with a smug grin. The chair groaned in protest at the large man's weight from the action. "Yeah, I know." He paused for a second, just for the timing of it. "It shouldn't be." "I have a good cover here." Noct mumbled as he dropped into his own chair and opened the box to look through the food. It was a burger â he was surprised it wasn't Cup Noodles. "It's about as great as a baseball cap." "It works!" Noct grabbed a fry out of the box and threw it at Gladio. He laughed as it only bounced harmlessly off his head.
The above is from A Part to Play, one of my Twilight extra stories that's still in WIP format. I have to be extremely careful with this one because it has some very technical stuff to describe and I need to take my time. It should be out soon, though.
19: Share your funniest line
This time, the roles were switched. Luna took hold of Noctis' wrist and walked ahead to lead him, instead. "What's the worst he could do to us?" "To you." Noctis didn't fight being pulled along. "He wouldn't do anything to you." A beat. "He'd just kick my ass in our next training session." "If he's kicking your ass," It was so weird to hear Luna repeat his own words. She always knew what to say and the perfect way to say it, when Noctis felt he fell short in that skillset. Luna quickly glanced back to say, "Then you just need toâŠ" She paused, as she seemed to search for the words, then continued, "get good and show him what for." Noctis thought, at first, that he must have not heard her right. The words and Luna's voice just didn't sound right together. After running that over in his head again, he finally laughed. "I'm sorry. Who are you and what did you do with Lunafreya?"
This is from Date Night, my little 'preview fic' for Noctis and Lunafreya in dal segno al coda.
This fic is a single night of events that just didn't fit in the full narrative of the main story and is Noctis and Lunafreya having an evening out together in Insomnia. (takes place during part 2)
I really have a lot of fun with Noct and Luna in segno. I know I said it before, but I'll say it again: I really can't wait to get comfortable enough to start posting it, because I want people to really have fun with what the two are capable of in that story.
As I said before, they are very much a power couple in dal segno al coda, except there are points here and there when Noctis and Lunafreya just have the chance to be the people they could never otherwise be.
20: What's something that surprised you while you were working on a fic? Did it change the story?
I would go as far as to say that the sudden idea behind Solus popping into my head was a big surprise. It doesn't change the overall story of the Insurgent King, but it does add more to it, I feel.
There's also a contender for biggest 'surprise' that came about from writing part 2 of segno. This wasn't this year - I think I wrote the scene last year, even - but I'm still trying to contend with it. I feel like I have to fight over 'how far is too far' with the idea.
It changed a LOT of segno and triggered a lot of rewrites, as well. However, it was very much a case of 'Lunafreya wants what she wants, and it's not necessarily what the author originally wanted.' LOL
21: What writing programs did you use? Did you write by hand?
I started using Google Drive, but I was introduced to Ellipsus this year and I love it so much. So I've started migrating my works to it.
While it's not the main parts of the story themselves, I have a plnner for dal segno al coda, that I use to keep track of dates in it and what happens around said dates.
I also have been carrying a tiny composition book in my purse to use when I get ideas while away from home.
22: If you had to choose one, what was THE most satisfying writing moment of your year?
I would actually put that towards The King's Interview and when I looked at the finished product on AO3. Not so much the writing part of it, but the design work and workskin editing. Since I have a web development background, I really love playing with AO3 workskins and think they can be a very powerful tool in storytelling.
That header image was made from two different stock images, and intended to illustrate the interview, as you would see on a news site or newspaper.
I also did something like it for the Epilogue for The King's Gambit. I made a faux newspaper front page in InDesign, complete with making a believable printed halftone look of the front of the Citadel. There's so much more of that layout than what I showed.
I've also got a story that's doing something like this further down the line in segno - so I may have just lifted that idea from there. segno's 'front page' is a little more complete than this one, however. Complete with extra fake headlines and snippets of other articles and stuff.
23: Did you do anything special to celebrate finishing a fic?
Not necessarily. I think the only real time to celebrate finishing one would be when I finished The Insurgent King - the story, not the series it's named after. This is probably due to the nature of the series, though, since I was immediately in my files and making notes of where to go with the next story and what had to be revealed in it (as well as what I can't reveal yet).
24: How did you recharge between fics?
I might just pull up a game and play a bit. Nothing too fancy.
25: Did you create fanworks other than fic?
Not really, no.
26: How many events did you take part in? (bangs, exchanges, ship weeks, zines, prompt memes, they all count!)
Just one, really. It was the @ffxvremix. I wrote Lost and Found for it.
27: If this were an awards show, who would you thank?
I'd thank, of course, @firefallvaruna for being my amazing beta reader. I'd also thank @snifftheraven. He's been the best sounding board for a lot of my ideas. He's also super honest and tells me when my ideas are too much, or if I have gone down a path that I probably wouldn't want to take.
28: What's left on your to-do list for 2024?
Sadly, my to-do list included getting part 1 of segno done. Then I got sideswiped by a whole new AU called The Insurgent King. Which is on point for that AU's version of Noctis.
I might celebrate the end of the year by working on segno a bit more and maybe pushing that 75-80% completion a little closer to 100%.
29: What would you like to write next year?
Getting segno's part 1 done and started to AO3 is definitely on my planned list for next year. I'm also continuing onward into Insurgent King.
I know the ending to both series. I should be able to make it.
A slightly revised version of last year's questions! Two ways to play: Reblog and have your followers send you numbers, or answer the whole list!
How many fics have you worked on since January?
Whatâs something new that you tried in a fic this year?
What piece of media inspired you the most? (This can be the fandom you wrote the most for, the one that spawned the most ideas, the one you thought about the most, etc.)
How many fandoms did you write for this year?
What ships captured your heart?
What characters captured your heart?
Did you write for any new fandoms or ships this year?
What fic meant the most to you to write?
What fic made you feel the happiest to work on?
What fic was the most satisfying to finish writing?
What fic was the most difficult to write?
What fic was the easiest to write?
What were your shortest and longest fics posted this year?
What were your go-to writing songs?
What was the hardest fic to title?
What's your favorite title of the year?
Share your favorite opening line
Share your favorite ending line
Share your favorite piece of dialogue
Share your funniest line
What's something that surprised you while you were working on a fic? Did it change the story?
What writing programs did you use? Did you write by hand?
If you had to choose one, what was THE most satisfying writing moment of your year?
Did you do anything special to celebrate finishing a fic?
How did you recharge between fics?
Did you create fanworks other than fic?
How many events did you take part in? (bangs, exchanges, ship weeks, zines, prompt memes, they all count!)
If this were an awards show, who would you thank?
What's left on your to-do list for 2024?
What would you like to write next year?

Live Stream
Sylus x gn!streamer!Reader
Based on a prompt from @syluspen that took me WAY TOO LONG to get around to. This is actually a compilation of all the little things I started for it but never really finished. So, uh, enjoy

The first time was an accident, really. He didn't realize you were in the middle of streaming for how quiet you were being and came in to ask you what you wanted for dinner.
From that point on, Sylus was the most anticipated part of every livestream.
You didn't mind it. You love your man, love that he chooses to interrupt even when he knows you are streaming just to bring you a drink or give you a quick kiss just to let you know he's home from "work". You're always a little worried someone will recognize him. Thankfully, no one has so far, and hopefully it stays that way.
The chat's screaming is your only warning before arms wrap around you from behind and Sylus's chin is resting on your shoulder. You lean back into him easily, beaming as you pause in your gaming, letting it sit on a dialogue box, waiting to be read.
"Did you just get home?"
"Mhm." He playfully brushes this side of your headphones back with his nose, exposing your ear and kissing your sideburn. "What are you playing?"
"Dream Daddy." You laugh at the odd look he gives you. You circle your mouse over your avatar in the corner. "Aren't I cute? Think you'd still date me if I look like this?"
He huffs a laugh. "Sweetie, if I would still date you if you were a worm, I would still date you if you were a guy."
The chat is zooming by quickly on the secondary monitor he bought you. A lot of people scream about him being "bisexual confirmed?!?!!" He pays them no mind.
"Is it a dating sim?" he asks.
You nod, turning your head to kiss his cheek. "Awe, guys, he's learning!"
"Any good dating options?" he asks playfully. "My current partner keeps teasing me; I may need to browse some new options."
You laugh and he chuckles by your ear, squeezing you tighter in ardent affection. You open up a browser to pull up a picture of all the love interests lined up. You explain each one to him while he listens patiently.
"Which one are you going for right now?"
"Guess."
He hums thoughtfully. "Robert?"
"Got it in one."
"Well, he's the most like me."
??? Is he a cryptid hunter too????
literally look nothin alike how tf
Istg this guy is in some shady business...
You flip back over to the game. He can tell now that one of the other love interests is who you're talking to. You turn your head so you can whisper in his ear. "You alright?"
He hums again with a small nod. "Just tired. Don't worry, sweetheart."
"Let me finish this up and we can go to bed, okay?" You kiss his cheek to cement your promise. He lifts his chin from your shoulder and kisses your forehead. "I'll only be a minute."
"Take your time." He kisses your forehead again for good measure. "Have fun, sweetie." His arms slide from their place around you as he heads toward the door.
-
Sylus loves watching you like this. Usually, he would wait somewhere else in a manor, tending to product for buyers or going over contracts. Tonight, however, you'd promised your viewers that you would play a horror game, and you needed him there in the room as moral support.
Which meant he got to tend to his guns (being off-camera as it were) and watch you panic over a haunted bear that wanted to kill you.
"Fuck fuck fuck, where's Bonnie?!" You jump with a startled cry, nearly flinging your headphones off from the fright. You lean back into your chair, hands on your head, as you read chat and try to calm your racing heart.
"You alright, sweetie?" he calls, trying to hide the amusement in his voice.
You're either too dazed to notice it or ignoring it altogether as you hum noncommittally. "The rabbit got me," you murmur.
The chats start flooding in out of nowhere. A few donations, a lot of screaming...
"Oh, I forgot to tell you guys that my partner is here for moral support." You giggle breathlessly. You look over at him with a smile. "They got jumpscared by your voice."
He chuckles. "I suppose I should be flattered to be on par with the monsters in your game."
-
Headcanons:
He supports your streaming without hesitation
Top of the line monitors, ergonomic chairs, cat ear headphones - name it and it's yours
But he doesn't show up during your streams very often
Really you're the one who insisted he stay out of sight, given his work and the possibility that someone may just recognize him
He likes to play your livestreams in the background while he works
When you excitedly ramble to him about what happened later, he already knows, but he loves to hear it from you
If you mention craving something, he's there after a bit with exactly what you wanted, whether it's a drink or a snack
Understands completely if you don't want to eat on camera, and just saves it for you for after
Maybe sticks his head into the room to show you what he got, or messages you saying it's waiting on the table
Very very rarely is he ever in the room while you stream, but it does happen
He scared your viewers when he suddenly spoke up from the sidelines
They thought he broke in or something

zoro x gn! reader
wc: 663
this is the first part of a series "you're in love with me" where you realize that they are in love with you can call them out on it
thanks for voting on this one, i had fun with it, sorry it took so long, i got busy with the holidays, but itâs here now đ
ace's is done and will be up probably tomorrow and i'm gonna start on sanjis, but lmk if you are interested in any other characters
not proof read lol
this goes one of two ways, in both you're being called stupid, both included
it's a chose your own adventure babe!
zoro has been acting strange recently- he was almost too quick to come to your aid, even if it was something you both knew you could handle alone. heâs also been making sure that you eat. recently he brought up a plate for you when you were on duty in the crowâs nest. sure, the tips of his ears and the apples of his cheeks were tinted pink, but that was easy to write off as a consequence of the alcohol that was surely in his veins. but he didnât leave right away like you thought he would, he stood on the ladder without moving until he saw you take your first bite. on the last island there had been a miscalculation in your provisions and the ship was running dangerously low on alcohol. there was no doubt that the crew was going to run dry shy of meeting their next destination, which was a bigger deal to some of the straw hats than others. it all brings you to the moment he offers you a sip of the last bottle of sake. youâre speechless. you always thought that hell sure would freeze over before he shared his booze and here he is willingly offering you some. youâre trying to figure out what was going on in his head, why he has been acting so strange, then it hits you. Â âyouâre in love with me.â
denial is a river in egypt
âdid you hit your head or sum?â he asks, trying to remain as impartial as possible, but you didnât miss how he nearly choked at your words. âno, zo, this makes sense,â you say connecting the dots, "you've been acting real weird about me recently, this explains it." you arenât about to back down from this, not after you wanted this for so long, not until he admits it to himself. âyouâre being an idiot,â he rolls his eyes, âdo you want some or not?â with a smile you grab the bottle out of his hand and take a swig, sitting down next to him. âi donât mind you know,â you say taking another sip, âthat you love me that isâ zoro is confused why he is so drawn to the dangerous smile that plays on your lips. he shakes himself out of it snatching back the bottle and taking a long gulp. you get pulled away by luffy wanting something, but he still feels your presence. little do you know how those words haunt him for the rest of the night. fuck, you might be right
he's down bad and he knows it
ân-no Iâm not,â zoro sputters, his face alight, âare you stupid or something?â âno, no, this is why youâve been acting strange,â you say, the weight of your revelation still sinking in. âthatâs why you havenât let me out of your sight for the past week, right?â you donât give him time to respond (not that he would be able to formulate a coherent response anyway). you continue listing all of his abnormal behaviors and fail to notice how his face grows redder with your every word. poor zoro is sinking into his seat hoping to disappear heâs so uncomfortable. heâs certain that he messed everything up and has no idea what to do now. he knows that youâre right of course, itâs kept him up at night, kept him from his precious naps. it took him a while to realize why you never left his mind, and the determining factor came from the fucking cook spewing some bullshit to a pretty woman on the last island. just when he is certain that he ruined whatever relationship you could ever have you turn to him with a big smile. âitâs a good thing you are though, or else this would be awkward,â you tell him, before he can even think to question what you mean your lips are on his and his brain malfunctions. maybe itâll be alright.

hellooo! i haven't requested anything for a WHILE but your latest work of m!reader x vander was so cute so i got a little idea.
LET'S JUST IMAGINE (đđ) that vander survives, but instead of him, the one who died THAT day was his fiancĂ©/husband. so now, he's not warwick but his husband is.
u see the reunion inside the mines, how would it be if his husband on warwick form recognized him? and how would he react to seeing him like that?
if u liked the request let me know bc i may have a little idea of a continuation for this one where everyone gets a happy ending lol đ«Ą
đđđđ. â (Vander X Warwick!Male Reader).
Note: Hi! That's actually such an interesting switch! Ended up very angsty and took a while to finish since end of year has everyone very busy. It was fun to write, thank you for the request, I hope you enjoy it.
Summary: Vander's husband was accidentally a victim during Silco's revenge plot. After many years, he returns to his homeâVanderâbut with drastic changes.
Warnings: Spoilers, don't read unless you've watched Arcane. Potentially triggering content that briefly mentions a fight and injuries.
Key: (Y/n) â Your name. | (H/c) â Your hair colour. | (E/c) â Your eye colour.
Red obscures (Y/n)âs vision, all objects but a mere shadowy silhouette in a maroon background. The sounds are distorted, muffled as if the creature was submerged inside a liquid even as the putrid air scorches his lungs and burns inside him along with his blood. Faint memories fade in and out of his consciousness like a detuned radio switching between frequencies, the humming of the static and the violent flashes of noise dulled out by the words that cut through it.
Powderâs eyes adjust the settings, keeping the radio tuned at the right frequency and letting the memories be coherent and loud for longer. The red fades, white seeps through, and suddenly he sees the little girl before him, shining like the sun. He opens his mouth, strange even to himself, and lets the sound out of his throat. âPowder.â
A rough, calloused hand presses against his shoulder in a gentle gesture of affection as he watches the children run around chasing each other. Tousled blue hair comes in his direction, Powderâs eyes closed as the girl giggles and holds out another one of her recent contraptions in her tiny hands. Her eyes were open, and the sweet look on them brought a pleasant sensation of joy. The hand squeezes his shoulder. Vander. Vander. The bar. The mines. Vander.
Claws scratch against dirt and filthy pavements, and the creature desperately propels itself forward as the memories fade away. His feet ache, the static gradually returns, and his vision fogs. There's nothing left once he reaches the mines. Nothingness gnaws at his mind, and the smell of soot and ash throws him back into the liquid; the mines brighten up with his movements, but he is blind to the light. (Y/n) stays quiet, no longer searching, just waiting. What he's waiting for, he doesn't know.
Something does come eventually, metallic footsteps and mumbling voices that send a sharp ringing to his head and urge him to attack whatever has come to threaten him. His gut screams at him to move, and he can't hold out any longer; as the sounds grow louder, he gives in to instinct.
Blood rushes to his head, a mechanical click of weapons echoes in the mines, and he feels a surge of vicious adrenaline pumping along with the mixture of chemicals inside him. Dark silhouettes appear, bracing themselves for confrontation and raising their guards; one stands out, a hulking figureâcompared to the othersâthat stands in front with its fists raised.
(Y/n) lunges at it, sharp teeth ready to maul the shadow and tear it into pieces. He knocks them to the ground, claw grazing their left cheek as he slams his hand on the side of their head. The black blur stays still, eyes boring into the creature's mismatched ones.
Greyish blue overwhelms the crimson and the darkness, and as the manâs mouth opens, his voice pierces its way directly into his ears. â(Y/n)... What happened to you?â
Itâs unlike Powderâs gentle tuning; his is a harsh decentering force that rips him away from his current reality and thrusts him into the past and the present at the same time. He shudders, mind spinning endlessly with recognition and horror freezing him at where he stands and paralysing his every limb to complete inertia. If he once was submerged in liquid, this liquid has now been turned solid and started to form cracks at its surface.
Five seconds in stillness pass before the creature staggers away, its body swaying side to side as it loses its balance. The pressure in his brain grows stronger as the static melts away and leaves clarity in its wake; the memories surge in a blaring stream, and this time, they stay. (Y/n) blinks twiceâvision finally clearing upâand looks at the man in front of him.
âVander.â
The lights flickered with each step he took and white spots danced in his vision. (Y/n)âs head throbbed, his heart ached, and suddenly it wasnât just dirt entering his lungs but burning ash as Vander gawked at himâeyes wide, desperate. He stands amid fire; wreckage falls all around him, threatening to crush him and end his life at any moment. His body is much too heavy to move, and a strange fluorescent liquid leaks out of his eyes and ears.
After a long beat of silence, he felt something wet staining his hand, which he now realised had been firmly pressed against the centre of his stomach. He falls. His head hits the floor first, sending a muffled thud from his ear to his eye. The fire crackles around him, cradling him to sleep as the screams vanish bit by bit and the image of Vander dissolves like dust in the wind.
A contrite silence lingers in the mines; his senses return at the same time his memories settle in. No more switching between frequencies, but stuck in the appropriate frequency at which he can remember what was heard and still hear what is being said. Everything breaks completely, and he falls to his knees.
â(Y/n).â Vander calls, worriedly rushing to hold his lover's disfigured face in his hands. There's a rush of tenderness and longing coursing through his veins; he is overwhelmed both by the joy of reunion and by the grief of what was lost.
Darkness shrouds them like a warm cloak, hiding the two men from sight. (Y/n) crawls closer to the other man, his broad figure curling on itself to be as small as possible and claws meekly laying stagnant at the sides of the men he loves. The two hold each other, hearing the sound of their hearts beating. They are alive, and for once in a long time, they are home.

âSo⊠youâre assignment is to read the passage, then write a minimum 3 page essay whether you agree or disagree with the authorâs viewpoint.â
Your professor gestures to the board behind him, emphasizing how important it is to acknowledge.
âDue by Monday, I wonât be giving any extensions. Class dismissed.â
âY/n.â Your friend nudges you, as you currently have your face buried in your book, totally ignoring the lecture. âCâmon, class is over⊠did you even hear what the assignment was?â
You shut your book, Little Women, a book youâve read numerous times but you never got sick of. It was a million times more appealing than hearing your literature professor ramble during a lecture.
âYeah⊠some three page essay.â You remark, tossing the book in your bag. âI gotta hurry, I have a shift at the library for a few hours. Text me the assignment, okay?â
She nods. âYeah, of course. Iâll see you later.â
You quickly grab your binder & notebook and walk out of class, headed for the library.
Youâre about halfway there, until someone passing by bumps your shoulder, knocking your things to the ground.
Crouching down to pick them up, you hear somebody shouting sorry! in the distance as you mumble under your breath, âDoesnât anybody watch where theyâre going? JesusâŠâ
Youâre gathering up some papers that fell out of your binder, until you spot an extra set of hands suddenly helping you, and a voice saying, âLet me help you with that.â
You look up, eyes locking with a tall, cute brown-haired boy, whom was now handing you your papers and notebook.
âSorry, I couldnât just walk by and not help. People can be so rude.â He smiles sweetly, handing over your papers he picked up. âIâm Jun, Iâm in your literature class.â
âY/n, and thanks, itâs what I get for not paying attention in lecture I guess.â You joke, finishing putting your stuff away as you both stand.
âHow is Little Women?â Jun asks.
âIâve read it before, itâs one of my favoriteâ wait how did you know thatâs what i was reading?â
He laughs. âI saw you reading it in class, you have an incredible attention span. Quite impressive actually.â
âLast week, you read Jane Eyre, and during lecture Soonyoung came in late and the professor got mad, then they both got into this whole big argument, but you didnât look up once, just kept reading. Iâve been watching you.
âWatching me?â You must have a confused, creeped out look on your face, cause the way he responds next makes you laugh.
âNo, No, I donât mean that in a creepy way like Iâm watching you, I just mean that I noticed you, thatâs all.â
You couldnât help but blush, avoiding his gaze for a moment.
A cute boy like him noticed you?
âLaurie proposes to Jo and she says no, even though sheâs still in love with him!â You exclaim, explaining your favorite book to Jun, as he holds it in his hands. âI cannot believe you never read it before.â
He shrugs, âI donât read all that much.â
âWeâll, I think youâll love it. The story is very enjoyable, and itâs not hard to read, which is surprising since it was written so long ago.â You continue.
ââŠWould your love for this book have anything to do with the fact that in both movies Laurie was played by Christian Bale, and Timothee Chalamet?â
âNo,â You fail at attempting to hide your grin. âBut itâs an added bonus. Christian Bale is a very underrated Laurie in my opinion, by the way.â
âOkay, Iâll read it,â Jun gives in, examining the book thoroughly and thumbing through it. âWhen do you need it back?â
âWhenever,â You say. âI donât need it back by any certain time so you can take your time with it, and really enjoy it.â
âOh, I know I will.â Jun smiles.
âMake sure you put these all away before you close up tonight,â Your library coworker tells you, as she gets ready to leave for the night. âApparently the boss said she wants them out on display up front for tomorrow.â
âOkay, Iâll do it right now, before I forget,â You reply, retrieving the small stack from the counter. âI have to run those returns upstairs to reshelve.âÂ
You walk over to the front table just as you hear the door open.Â
âWe close in thirty- oh! Itâs you.â Your coworker says, making you turn around to see who it was.Â
It was Jun. âY/n! Your boyfriend is here.âÂ
You smile at him as he walks over to you, âWhat are you doing here?âÂ
âI wanted to see if you wanted to do something tonight, maybe dinner⊠a movie?â He says, as he now towers over you & kisses your forehead. âYouâre already dressed cute,â he makes note of your outfit. âI like that skirt.â
âIâm working right nowâŠâ You sigh.
âThatâs okay, I can wait. I only haveâŠâ Jun checks his watch. âOh, twenty five minutes now.âÂ
âWhatever,â You smile as you chuckle at him. âJust go sit at the desk, donât mess up anything.âÂ
âOh, before I forget, I brought your book back.â Jun starts as he sits down, reaching into his book bag.Â
âThereâs no way you already finished it. I gave it to you yesterday.âÂ
âI just wanted to leave you some notes in the margins for you.â Jun says, handing the book over to you.
You flip through the book, seeing how itâs littered with sticky notes and tabs, marking the different pages.
âYouâve read this beforeâŠâ You glance over the notes written on a page.Â
âA few times.â He smiles as your eyes meet his.
âI thought you didnât read much?âÂ
âWhat is muchâŠ?âÂ
You lean in closer to him, kissing him. âYouâre unbelievable.â You smile.
âYou liked it? I was wondering if youâd be mad if I nearly defaced your book.â He says, with a chuckle.
âNo, no, I couldnât be mad,â You smile, playfully running your fingers through his hair. âBesides you didnât actually write in it, if you did, that might be a different story.â
You kiss him one more time, âWell I have some stuff to finish really quick, wait here?âÂ
âYeah, yeah, thatâs fine. Iâm sure I can find something to keep me entertained for a few.â Jun remarks, picking up a book that was in the return stack on the counter.
You finish up the rest of your display, and the returns you had to put away (âŠeven unfortunately stealing the book that Jun was occupying). Your coworker had left for the night and it was time to close up.
âOkay, thatâs it for the night.â You announce to Jun, starting to gather up your things.Â
âAll done?âÂ
âYeah, I think thatâs- shit!â You realize you still had stuff to put away upstairs. âI forgot to put these ones upstairs.â You grab the few books.
âCome with me?âÂ
âYou wonât be okay by yourself?â He asks, obviously joking with you.
âCmon, itâs eerie when itâs so quiet, just cmon.â You grab his hand and nearly pull him to the elevator.Â
âThese few go over here,â You lead him over to the fiction section. âAnd these go⊠over hereâŠâ You start walking to the next aisle over.
You reach up to attempt to place the last book on the highest shelf, but youâre just a little too short.
âCan you help me?â You laugh, turning to the 6 foot man standing close to you. âIâm too short for this.â
Jun laughs with you, grabbing the book from you. âWhereâs it go?âÂ
âRight next to that one, with the red cover.âÂ
He places it on the shelf, âIs that the only one?â
âYeah, thatâs all of them.âÂ
Jun moves to stand in front of you, conveniently trapping you between him and the bookshelf behind you. You mentally thank whoever designed the floor plan in the library to make the aisles so small.
He moves closer to you, nearly pressing himself against you, so close you can smell the cologne he has on.
âYou know I canât help but realize⊠weâre all alone here.âÂ
âYeah⊠I know, itâs almost-â You start, as you're cut off with him kissing you.
You moan against his lips as his hands slide up your cardigan sweater, and he trails kisses down your neck.
âJunâŠâ You moan, fingers tangling in his hair.
âIs this okay?â He whispers, kissing your lips again.
âYes, very much.â You whisper, his face still close to yours. âBut we canât do this hereâŠâ
âWhy not? Thereâs nobody hereâŠâ Jun whispers, as he kisses your neck a few times.
âThe cameras, thereâs cameras around here..â You say, then you grab his hand. âCmon, in here.â You lead him down the hall down to one of the study rooms.Â
You enter the dimly lit room, and shut the door behind you, but not before realizing how secluded and somehow intimate these rooms somehow are. Okay⊠mentally noted.
You sit on the table as Jun slots himself between your thighs, heâs kissing on your neck as heâs pulling your sweater off your body. He pauses to pull his sweater and t-shirt off of himself.Â
Jun kisses your lips again, more fervently this time, as youâve both become more eager.
âLay back for me.â Jun whispers against your lips.
You kiss him again, tangling your fingers in his long hair as you lean back on the table, and you try not to giggle as his lips trail from your chest, and down your stomach, tickling you a little.
âGod, youâre so prettyâŠâ He mumbles into your skin, in between kisses.
You smile as you run your fingers through his hair once more, and you feel Junâs hands side up your thighs underneath your skirt.
âCan I take these off?â Jun asks, eyes meeting yours as his fingers tug on the waistband of your underwear.
âYeahâŠâ you speak, lifting your hips to give him better access. You start to take your skirt off, but he stops you.Â
âNo⊠leave it on.â Oh. You can feel your face get hot.
After many times being in these study rooms, you couldnât ever imagine that youâd ever be in here⊠like this, with a gorgeous boy as heâs taking off your clothes, yet here you are.
âJunâŠâ You sigh, as his hands are pulling you to the edge of the table, and pushing your thighs apart.
âThis okay?â He questions, as heâs putting your legs over his shoulders.
âYeahâŠâ You breathe, nodding, as your hands find the edge of the table to grip it with anticipation. Afterall, you canât see him with your skirt in the way⊠hmm, suppose it's all part of his plan.
âGod, you're so wet and all I did was kiss youâŠâ Jun says lowly, kissing your thigh gently as his breath fans over your core.Â
You donât even have a chance to respond before heâs bringing his thumb to your clit, circling it slowly a few times, making your breath hitch at the contact.
âJun, pleaseâŠâ You whine, aching for more.
âAlright babyâŠâ He all but mumbles back to you, and you feel his tongue slide over your clit, and you throw your head back at the feeling.
âFuckâŠâ Your brows furrow as your eyes flutter shut, focusing on the feeling. He groans against your clit as he slides two fingers inside you, making you arch your back and practically grind your hips down on his hand.
âShit, babyâŠâ You whine, as his fingers effortlessly reach your sweet spot repeatedly. âRight there⊠Iâm gonna fucking comeâŠâÂ
âGo on baby,â Jun pulls back, kissing your thigh a few times, all while his fingers donât let up âCâmonâŠâ
You practically cry his name, as you feel the orgasm rush over you, leaving your chest heaving as you catch your breath.Â
âAre you ready, baby?â Jun whispers to you, as you hear rustling and the clink of a belt buckle as heâs undoing his jeans.Â
âYeahâŠâ You whisper, finally catching your breath, but your breath hitches in your throat as heâs suddenly dragging the tip of his cock through your wet folds, the tip bumping your sensitive clit as youâre hinted at the mere size of him.
He slowly sinks into you, the stretch making your nails dig into his biceps.Â
âFuckâŠâ Jun curses as he hovering over you, kissing your neck as he bottoms out, his thrusts shallow so you can get used to him.
âJun⊠shit,â You moan, your fingers threading through his hair. âYouâre too big.â
âYou can take me.â His lips softly graze your collarbone, just as his hand trails lower and lower, until his fingers find your clit.
You whine his name, suddenly your senses are overwhelmed with the feeling of the pressure on your clit and his cock inside you, hitting spots so deep it almost has you seeing stars.
A particularly hard thrust nearly pushes you further up the table, making you nearly cry as youâre already on the edge.
âShit, Iâm already gonna comeâŠâ You cry, arching your back as you already feel the familiar tingle spreading through you, making your toes curl.
âCâmonâŠâ Jun grunts, as his fingers find your clit again, and it feels divine with the way heâs pounding into you. âCome for me⊠give me one moreâŠâ
Your legs shake as you come with a loud cry of his name, he keeps going until heâs coming too, slowly rolling his hips to fuck you through your high.
You both say nothing for a few, catching your breath, until you fully register what you just did.
âOh my godâŠâ You say as youâre getting dressed. âI cannot believe we just did thatâŠâ You cover your face as you blush, but also canât help but laugh.
Afterall, who would've thought?
âWhy are you laughing?â Jun notices you trying to hide the fact that youâre blushing, pulling your hand away. âYou didnât like it?â He already knows the answer.Â
âYeah⊠but I never thought Iâd do that, you know⊠here.â You smile right before you kiss him.Â
âBut that doesnât mean that I wouldnât do it againâŠâ

FNAAAAF!!!!!!!!! FFFNNNNNAAAAAAAAF okay sorry. more CTW au uhh hereâs how i imagine millieâs grandpa, from what iâve seen heâs only described as having wispy hair and wearing a ratty flannel every day đ i think heâs a silly guy trying his best and i feel so so bad for him in canon </3
random info if youâre in the mood to read:
iâd imagine millie would survive by making some kind of a deal with freddy. considering the minigame in the into the pit game itâs implied half of his arm is missing alongside bonbon, iâm thinking eventually she would steer the conversation like
âpleeeeaaase bro let me bribe you iâll find your lost arm and hand iâll be so generous and love my life and give to charity starting with youâ
âwhat hand?? i have my hand.â
âno your other hand, the one thatâs missingâ
âi didnât have a hand over there đđđ i had a handPUPPET.â
so sheâd use that to her advantage and maybe he would give her a week or so to try and find bonbon while dropping rlly vague hints of where he last saw him because heâs torn between genuinely wanting to find him and also wanting millie to fail so he can just kill her. he has no faith sheâll actually find him though so heâs rlly not that helpful and thinks her panic about the situation is really funny. also heâd 100% convince her that if she tried to tell her grandpa or family that the Weird Broken Robot Bear tried to kill her nobody would believe her and at MOST just shrug and tell her not to go near him
and i KNOOW i know heâs programmed to kill but with how broken he is maybe heâs a little messed up in the head and his programming is a liiiittle out of whack rn so heâs able to choose whether or not to kill millie instead of her fate being sealed the moment sheâs alone w/ him
but yeah i have a fun silly idea of where bonbon might be also considering the into the pit minigame thing :) this is more than just a CTW AU tbh this is just me fucking around with the fazbear frights books and connecting multiple stories together and having fun. itâs complete bullshit i havenât actually read any of these stories for myself, im just having fun. shrugs

a 2024 reading retrospective
so. i read a lot of fics in 2024. here are some of my favorites.
before i get started, please note that these are not in any particular order and these are not all of my favorites!!!!!!!! i wanted to include so many more but i just wasn't able to! also please don't roast me for reading stuff from more than two years ago :(((
anyway, here we go!!
1. Air by Cantare
as always, @cantareincminor knocks it out of the park. i'm a sucker for alternate first meeting AUs and Air is one of the good ones!! i find that it can be hard to find authentic sounding banter between yor and twilight, but cantare manages it somehow! they have such great and natural sounding dialogue. it's just a one chapter fic, but maybe if we ask nicely enough, cantare will continue one day đ
2. like the wild geese by anonymous_viscacha
okay in all honesty, i read this for the first time last week and i scrambled to add this one to the list. it's a short one shot about a shared lunch break between yor and loid, but it's so sweet and endearing that i just had to put it on. i love love love it when people let loid and yor catch up on the childhood they lost because they deserve it. i'm kinda obsessed with this fic right now.
3. what happens outside by aerequets
it's kinda unfair that @aerequets gets to be a great artist and author but here we are. i'm not complaining tho because what happens outside is a delightful read. i enjoy exploring post reveal pre relationship twiyor and this fic is perfect for that!! it's also just really cute and reading things from yor's perspective is super endearing.
4. chaos theory by sarsaparillia
so ngl this one scared me at first because i do NOT like major character death fics and this one really seems like it, but this fic was unexpectedly wholesome and has a happy ending!!! it's short but bittersweet so i can't really talk about it without spoiling it any more. go read it! it's short!
5. eventually i fall into you, you attack my heart by princessguard
i know this is a controversial (and somewhat ironic) take but i usually really don't like eden AUs but. this fic is proof that there are always exceptions to the rule. this one is a short little story about a serious student at eden and the weird girl he keeps meeting in trees. i don't know exactly why i love this one so much but it do. it's cute and the epilogue got me grinning like a fool.
6. like real people do by Puolain
once again another alternative meeting AU. i dunno, man, it's just so much fun to see twilight and yor having the chance to be real people and accidentally fall in love which each other. i eat that up every time. great work @loveroma!
7. I'll Be There in a Minute, Dear by fluffmelange
i was SO CLOSE to putting fluffmelange's "Leave No Trace of Yourself" here because that one is SO FUNNY but alas, this delightful fic barely won out in the end. you know what you should do? read both. fluffmelange is keeping us all fed with short and sweet fics that are so much fun to read. this one is a favorite simply because the premise is so goofy and simple but i could 100% see it being canon lol. we are in your capable hands @fluffmelange.
8. I've Been Throwing Bricks At Your Window Like There's No Better Way To Say Hello by thesmallestfishinthesea
this fic has such a silly and simply premise but i love it so so so much. it's about the three times yor forgets her keys (plus one extra time loid forgets!!!!) and it's so cute to have a view inside yor's (often frazzled) mind. i don't know what else to say other than READ IT RIGHT NOW!!! great work @smallest-fish-inthesea!
this is not all!! i really wanted to include the wonderful works of @whateversawesome, @briefhottubcoffee, @spencer-is-alive, luinel, and more (ao3 literally went out just as i was typing this UGH what awful timing) but i wanted to do something to give back to this awesome community. fun fact, today is my birthday and there's a tradition in my family where the birthday person gives presents to others. so this is my present to everyone!! thanks for everything you guys and here's to another great year!
oh oh oh one last thing, i tried to link everyone's tumblr if they have one, so if there's an author on here who has a tumblr that i didn't link, let me know and i'll link them.
okay! thanks everyone!
(ALSO DON'T MAKE FUN OF HOW DIFFERENT SOME OF THE DRAWING STYLES LOOK IN SOME OF THE ILLUSTRATIONS, I WAS EXPERIMENTING WITH DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES AND THEY LOOK STUPID ALL PUT TOGETHER LEAVE ME ALONEđđđđđđ)
