omg on the minors thing i always just get this feeling of 😐 when i see a post i like & then find out that the poster is a minor bc like ik it’s not fair to not let them engage in fanfic spaces (i mean it was like a pillar of my girlhood) but like idk i wish there was just like a youtube kids section of this corner of the internet for them or something bc i feel like there’s no way of like preemptively blocking minors from my dashboard feed & it’s just really annoying to deal with bc it just feels weird interacting with their posts & that also feels dangerously unsafe in terms of protecting kids from people with predatory intentions online that there’s no restrictions on that

it is literally impossible to block every single minor that interacts with your page. especially if you get copious amounts of activity, there’s no way you can filter out every single account that’s ageless and/or under 18. i have my account as mdni not so much because of the content i write (i write a lot of fluff and have a lot of works that are sfw, and bc fanfiction was also the pillar of my girlhood lol) but because i know firsthand what it’s like to consume harmful content since it was so easily accessible without rules or restrictions.

i’ve had minors send me very detailed smut req’s and i just read their ask like 😟 it’s for that reason that i have very specific rules in place. i’ve reblogged moodboards from account owners who are under 18 and that’s literally it. we’re no one’s parents, and we definitely don’t have the power to control the internet. so if someone wants to write and read fanfiction as a minor with access to all of these things, there’s simply not much we can do about it except block when we catch it.

• he was confident at the beginning saying how "this game will be easy" "I'd win for sure" not knowing that uno seems to always have your luck stored at the perfect amount

• he'd try to cheat by taking a quick glimpse of your cards, that's why sometimes he takes too long to draw his cards cause he's taking his time in finding a good moment when you're not looking

• half way through he'd become salty, reallyyyy salty to the point whenever you'd place down any sort of card that gives you a high advantage and kazutora a disadvantage he'd give you a look of displeasure for a good 3 seconds

• he'd curse a few times and make little comments but nothing too major, if anything it'd be under his breath quietly (unlike Baji)

• however he'd be passive aggressive "hope you fall down the stairs next time in public and I'm there to witness it, I won't catch you I'd just watch" with a straight face and almost zero emotion in his voice (he fully well doesn't mean it) but his bluntness was just a facade cause after he saw your reaction he couldn't help but crack a smile and laugh a little

• whenever he'd place down a pick up card of his he'd hold a proud smile and look at you as if he's accomplished something great but his smile would immediately fall the second you place down a +10 "WHAT!?" his sole shattered

• he wins occasionally but knowing that you're a lot better at the game than he is even though it all revolves around luck with the cards and how you use them, that doesn't bring his ego up at all, sometimes he thinks you went easy on him and that'd be when the rounds are longer

• when it came to the card 'discard all' he'd be in disbelief of the power that card holds, all of the same coloured card that you once held were down down in the pile. kazutora couldn't tell which cards he hates more, that one or the +6 / +10

• sometimes you both end up bickering but in a humorous kind of way, going back and forth in-between laughter about who's right about the rules and who's wrong to the point where the only way for you to carry on the game was to make up rules (truthfully who goes by the actual rules?)

• in that time despite him being salty he didn't care all that much about who wins, but as time went on his mind changed and in the middle of taking a little break of playing he tried to understand all the cards and how to play smart even with you sitting in the same room

• at the end of it knowing that he wouldn't be able to win he randomly and calmly got close to you dropping his cards down without wanting to finish the game, he'd then playfully tackle you down with a smile "I give up"

°- chifuyu matsuno

• he can be quite competitive to a certain extent but majority of the times he's having fun

• he'd stare at you as you're placing cards down one after another almost in disbelief and confusion "where the fuck do you keep getting those cards from?!" in that very moment as he shamefully picked up a card from the side deck, he knew he wouldn't be able to win

• he HATES getting the colour switch up cause he never happens to have the right colour and he'd have to pick up more cards than needed, he'd pick up one and it wont be the right colour still, picks up another- nope. his luck with the colours is nonexistent and he gets frustrated with that quite easily and honestly it can get funny with his comments

• "WHERE'S THE RED CARDS!?"

• "I swear to god if I don't get a green card I will jump out that window" he'd make little sarcastic jokes

• because of that he always shuffles the cards twice the amount of time than needed to make sure that all the cards and colours are evened out but even with that he sometimes has to draw 4 cards just to get the one he needs - cause of that he loves the 'discard all' card when he has it in his possession

• he wouldn't help but smile when he thinks he gets good cards and when you'd ask about it he'd go "nothinnggg" all smugly and holding his smile proudly, but of course his pride would be shattered from your card

• hes the type of person to yell out "Uno" loudly and all happily too

• he would take any opportunity to place down his good cards but the second he places them down he regrets it cause he acted rationality and that always benefited you instead of him

• "I don't know how you do it, but I've never met anyone who's as good at uno as you"

• once he had his final loss he'd roll his head back and sigh out a little annoyed, but then he'd smile at you and fling a card at you which then created a little playful card fight making the floor to be scattered with uno cards

°- Baji Keisuke

• at first he didn't seem all that interested, but as the game went on Baji would be the most competitive and determined to win

• definitely would try to cheat, either by taking a glimpse of your cards or try to place a random card of his down when you're not looking

• he'd be swearing and cussing you out for sure but also try to humor it, "oh fuck off with that" "you think your so funny? I will eat those cards and you'll never see them again" "you mother fucker"

• when you'd place down a pick up card of the same colour twice or more Baji would make up new rules, "that's not allowed" "no you can't do that" just so he could buy time and hopefully have a glimpse at your cards even if it means to bicker for a good minute

• after a few slow rounds in the beginning the matches would begin to end more quickly due to the determination of winning, card after card would be placed down as the game would be engraved in both of your minds

• you both would carry on playing over and over until there's a clear winner, sometimes you'd win and so would he but Baji would never give up at all, though in the end you happened to have the most wins and Baji would be a little salty about that for the rest of the day

• in his mind the next time you both play uno he's gonna hide away majority of the pick up cards that way he'd have a higher chance of winning (cheater)

• he'd be a sore loser like a child "no you're not getting a kiss" but in the end you always happen to get more than one

• throughout any given time of the day he would challenge you to a game of Uno, he'd place the deck of cards Infront of you without a word and almost expect you to play, all because he wants to beat your win-streak

• "I'm beating your win-streak whether you like it or not"

I've been thinking a lot about this but what about MK and a s/o who is a spider demon? Perhaps directly related to the Spider Queen? How would that work out and how would they even get together? IMSORRYITMIGHTBEDIFFICULTORIMPOSSIBLEBUTTHETHOUGHTHASNTLEFTMYHEADAAAAA

Okay, this didn't end up being more fic-ly like my other fics, forgive me Nonnie, but the moment I saw it I just went, "Hey, wait a minute, how would this work?" And now I'm here hahaha. This got a bit into the analysis side, so uhhhh, yeah sorry 😭😭 I just reallyyyy like doing these kinds of things gah

🤔 I'm not sure if a relationship with him would work immediately if he's aware you're a spider demon on first meeting. Not to say that isn't impossible―MK the Monkie Kid will love anything if it feeds him. I know, I fed him and he loves me (this is a joke for legal reasons). It's just that his paranoia/fear of spiders overshadows any logic or reason, so a first meeting is him fleeing for his life. If you have an appearance like the Spider Queen he's just running around shrieking while you stand there watching him. If it's not as spidery he might give you a chance. Might, who knows if he doesn't freak out and faint again.

Of course though, as always I think it really just depends on the situation. If in the instance you're not a villain and you genuinely wish to help, then as scared as MK will be, he is NOT going to hate you, not MK. Have you seen how he pleaded with Spider Queen coming to the finale of S2, warning her about LBD?? He's not some heartless prick much less judgemental―he knows if you really want to change and do good, you're someone to change. Yeah, he'll be a bit scared still especially if you have more spider traits, but I genuinely think he'll warm up to you bit by bit till, and if you spend enough time with him, he forgets you're a spider demon. You're a friend now.

Like I said, it really does genuinely depend on the scenarios. Don't anticipate love at first sight―not unless you find MK fainting and his pathetic wet cat energy attractive 😭.

I think it could work out though, with a relationship. MK's not some judgemental prick. I know a lot of people might think, "Oh, but he's afraid of spiders!" but that doesn't overshadow his kindness. He would genuinely fall in love with you regardless of what you looked like, so long as you have a good heart. Hell, I don't think you even need to be a good guy. If MK runs into you enough times and you show the single ounce of kindness, if not to him then to someone else, he really thinks you'll be capable of change. If you're lucky, he would even tell you that he doesn't find Spider Queen so bad if she'd just stop trying to make everyone spider zombies.

Bringing us to the other scenario: being directly related to the Spider Queen. Honestly I think that matters little to him at this point with the points I mentioned above. I think the one difference if he finds out you're directly, directly related to Spider Queen is to faint on the spot and consider how the fuck he's gonna get her to not kill him :<

These are just if he's aware from the beginning you're a spider demon. If per chance you wear a glamor and befriend him and he finds out you're really a spider demon, much less some relative to Spider Queen, I can imagine different scenarios going down:

1) Were you pretending to be his friend to hurt him for your family? If so, expect him to be heartbroken as fuck. It'll take a while for you to regain his trust but if you do mean it, he'll forgive you. Just don't do it again.

2) Accidental? Oh, okay. That's cool. Do you plan on eating him? No? Okay....so what are you doing standing all the way there?? Get back here, he needs to snuggle and he can't snuggle when your ass is all the way there. Huh? Yeah yeah, it's creepy but you're not so bad. It's cute. Just don't eat him. Please.

A relationship with him though isn't impossible. Regardless of the scenario, everything falls under 2 things;

1) Are you capable of showing empathy and kindness?

2) Do you truly feel the same way about him?

If the answer to both of these are yes, then yes, regardless if you're a spider demon, a relationship is possible. Looks really don't matter to someone like MK. Hell, not even your shitty personality.

The only problems you'd have with MK when a relationship works out with him is Spider Queen because I know damn well she's gonna terrorize MK so bad.

Edit: A lot of people will argue; "MK's scared of spiders, why would he date one?"

1) Spiders. Not spider DEMONS who have sentience and can act, speak and think like a human being, and looks human-ish too. He can give them a chance.

2) MK's not some heartless bastard. To the finale of S2, he genuinely tries to plead with Spider Queen about LBD. If he didn't care, he wouldn't have bothered reasoning with her. Spider Queen might've had a change of heart a tad bit too late but you can see that MK's words really did have some affect on her for to willingly risk herself FOR the kid she's trying to kill. She could've damn well fled for her life and left MK there, and MK could've simply fled and not said shit. I really can't see MK being a judgemental ass, I really can't. It just wouldn't be in his character, especially if it's before the events of s4/5.

Notes: I love doing analysis of shit like this, it's super fun, but to certain koala-brains, please understand this isn't me thinking I know everything. This seriously is just my opinion + how I IMAGINE LMK MK would react and be towards an s/o who's a spider demon. My word isn't law, and I understand there are others who will think differently. This is just how I interpreted MK based on the countless times I've watched the show. If you believe MK would act differently, good for you.

Anakin was sleeping more peacefully than he had in a very long time. It was the effect of leaving the Jedi, being openly married to Padme, and having two adorable kids living happily in Naboo. Was raising children difficult and stressful? Well, considering everything else that had happened in his life, children were positively relaxing.

Just then, in his subconscious, Anakin felt two little buzzing balls of light. He knew they were the force signatures of Luke and Leia. Smiling slightly, Anakin opened his eyes to find two small faces staring at him.

“Told you he’d wake up,” Luke whispered. Leia scowled and handed Luke a nickel. Anakin lifted his head slightly to look at them better. “You should be in bed,” he scolded, about to scoop them up and bring them back to bed. Luke was halfway in his arms when Leia halted him with a small but firm hand on his forearm. “We want to ask something,” she said importantly. Luke wriggled out of Anakin’s arms, nodding in agreement. Anakin peered at Leia curiously. She was only 6 years old, but she was already a force to be reckoned with. Luke followed her everywhere she went.

“Why now? Couldn’t it have waited till morning?” Anakin murmured sleepily. He pulled Leia onto the bed, wrapping one arm around each kid. They both curled towards him, huddling in his warmth. Anakin’s heart was full. “We waited till Mommy was asleep,” Leia explained, and Anakin prepared himself. He knew that whatever they were about to ask would certainly not be Mommy-approved. He wondered what exactly they could want that Padme would not agree to.

“Ok, what is it?” Anakin asked softly. Leia and Luke turned pleading eyes to him. Damn, already turning up the charm. This must be reallyyyy interesting. Anakin quirked up a brow. Leia elbowed Luke. “You tell him.”

“No you tell him!” Luke protested. “You came up with it.”

“You’re the baby, he’s more likely to listen to you,” Leia countered. Anakin resisted the urge to snort. They were both babies, twins at that. Leia was only a few minutes older. But Luke was more soft spoken and didn’t ask for stuff as much as Leia which was why Padme and Anakin were more likely to acquiesce to his requests. “Fiiiineee,” Luke groaned. He crawled onto Anakin’s legs, looking up with the same blue eyes as his own. “Can you pleaseeee teach us Sith techniques?” Luke said, tugging Anakin’s shirt imploringly. Anakin raised both his eyebrows. Interesting. Extremely interesting.

“What makes you think I know Sith techniques?” Anakin’s eyes narrowed as the kids exchanged glances. Probably debating what to tell him through the force. Silly kids; he could sense everything by simply reaching out to their force signatures.

“We heard you talking to Mama,” Leia confessed. “She was saying you trained with the Papatine man.”

“Palpatine,” Anakin corrected. “And yes I did, but it was only because I was trying to save your mother. He made me do terrible things. The Sith ways are not good.”

“You said that about the Jedi too, but you still let Uncle Obi Wan teach us Jedi stuff,” Luke pointed out. Well, force. His little boy had a point there. Leia beamed at her brother, and Anakin reached out a hand to Luke, mussing up his hair. “You have a point, little man,” Anakin said. Luke beamed. He was so fucking cute. Anakin sighed. “Fine, I’ll teach you Sith tricks. But don’t tell your mom.” Luke and Leia squealed in excitement, hugging each other. Anakin couldn’t help but chuckle. He loved his babies so much.

The next day while Padme was on a work call in a distant corner of the house, Anakin sat his kids down criss cross on the carpet in the living room. They were both bouncing excitedly, awaiting Anakin’s lesson.

“The thing to remember about the Sith ways is that it is the polar opposite of the Jedi,” Anakin began. Luke and Leia watched him with rapt attention. “So while as a Jedi when you meditate you are supposed to think of things that calm you, as a Sith, you must think of things that make you angry.”

Luke and Leia stared at him with rapt attention. Anakin smiled. “For me, it is very easy. There are many things that make me angry. But you two are so little and have been mostly-“

“When Leia takes my toys!” Luke declared before Anakin could finish his sense. He bit down on his lip to control his laugh. Leia glared at Luke at his words. “When Luke pulls my hair!” she yelled back, and Anakin couldn’t control his snort.

“When Leia acts all bossy and know-it all!” Luke said, glaring right back.

“When Luke acts all soft and nice!”

They both reached their hands towards each other, slapping each other while trying to fight. Anakin walked between them and gently extricated them from each other. “I think that’s enough,” he said gently. “Unless you have reasons not related to each other?”

The twins both went deep into thought, and Anakin was about to pull away when Leia said, “I’m mad that Papatine has put us in hiding!” Anakin grit his teeth. Palpatine, who ruled over the galaxy now, had been searching for Anakin for years. Naboo had been under constant siege, which led Anakin to believe that he knew where they were. However, with Anakin’s force magic, the empire had been staved off constantly. Why wouldn’t the emperor just leave him in peace?

He knew why, but he hated it. And he hated that it endangered his family too. “Good one, Leia,” Anakin said. “Now focus on that anger. Close your eyes. Picture it clearly in your mind.” Both kids closed their eyes. Anakin reached out to the dark side of the force, finding that familiar gleeful feeling that emerged in the face of rage. After several minutes, a priceless vase shattered.

“Excellent work, Luke and Leia,” Anakin exclaimed. “That was perfect Sith magic. Open your eyes and see what you did.” They obeyed and stared wide-eyed at the broken ceramic.

“Cool!” they said at the same time. “Hell yeah,” Anakin agreed until he sensed Padme’s presence approaching. Shit. He began to panic.

He squeezed his eyes tightly shut and reached out to the light side of the force. It was easy as cake to summon; he simply thought of his wife and kids and he calmed down. He reached his hand out towards the shards, which slowly floated off the ground and back towards each other. Within moments, the shards had reconnected with each other.

The twins oohed and aahed at Anakin’s work, and he couldn’t help but grin. He’d forgotten the simple joys of force magic, which his children were reminding him of.

“What?” Padme asked. Abruptly, Anakin, Luke, and Leia all sat up with their back perfectly erect. Padme’s eyes narrowed suspiciously. “What is going on?”

“Nothing,” they all said at the same time. okay okay okay oka. that interlude was so fucking good it both answered some of my questions and also gave me SO MANY MORE QUESTIONS. as soon as kevin started talking about being the most powerful man in the world i KNEW. i KNEW it was gonna be some scion bullshit. at first i thought it was gonna be like some... witch from beauty and the beast bullshit where he Was Actually scion just. posing as an eccentric homeless guy out of costume. which would have disappointed me i think because i am so dead set on scion Not Being Human.

WHICH. I FEEL SO STRONGLY IN MY HEART THIS CHAPTER SUPPORTED SO WELL. when they described how Simurgh first appeared floating motionless over a city. dude. dude. my first fucking thought with that was "hey that sounds like what people say about scion." he doesnt speak. his face never moves. hes extremely powerful, so far the only person powerful to drive away the endbringers. he's GOTTA be the same type of thing they are. not human, never was human, but for some reason he Looks Human. like... simurgh does too, but shes still huge and has weird proportions and the wings. scion as far as i know is normal sized and looks mostly human besides being gold. i havent figured that out yet

having a LOT OF FEELINGS about . the whole reason scion does what he does is because some miserable man with a heart of gold told him to. side note i reallyyyy really got attached to kevin i liked him a lot :( that brings into question SO MANY fucking things about the endbringers. this is full on mac ghostiezone game theory moment at this point but. i dont know where they came from, but it seems like at their first appearance they were... susceptible to orders? and this just happened to be an extremely lucky right place at the right time moment. I cant even imagine a world where scion wasnt a "hero" and was instead a force of destruction like the endbringers. which brings up the question... did anyone else try to talk to the endbringers at their first appearances? i cant IMAGINE anyone would willingly go near leviathan or behemoth considering their more monstrous dangerous appearance . but what about simurgh? im acting on the assumption that the endbringers are some sort of Creation and i dont know what their purpose is but either option 1: someone DID talk to the other 3 and it was someone with extremely bad intentions and gave them the orders to become what they are now or option 2: nobody said shit to them and theyre acting on base instinct????? idk. im viewing the endbringers more like. animals or natual disasters than anything and i dont know if thats exactly correct to do but its how my brain works. so.

the big difference between them is that... scion acts with a Goal, where the endbringers seem more like forces of nature that dont really act with any sort of. purpose. simurgh is the exception to this though since she went out of her way to obscure the information about power origins from reaching dragon and also the way she acts makes it seem like... she Knows something. i dont know i still have sooo many questions.

im REALLY worried about whats gonna happen now that kevin gave him the new order to kill. im really worried its gonna be like a monkeys paw situation where... maybe one or all of the endbringers will die, but then what the fuck does he do after that. come back to whats her name (is it lisette?) for more orders? theres no guarantee lisette will be anywhere near as. idk. selfless? as kevin? that feels wrong. idk. she seemed scared of that situation and didnt want the responsibility placed on her so what if she avoids it and never gives scion any other orders???? will he just fall back on old programming and start killing other "bad" things???? is THIS how the fucking apocalypse starts. this has gotta be connected to the apocalypse in some way i can feel it in my bones. scion with kill orders makes me feel crazy.

keeve trennis. like that's it, that's the bullet point. keeve fucking trennis. so glad i finally got to meet her properly and she is SO. COOL. she immediately jumped up the list of my fave THR characters

keeve getting knighted by avar was very important to me 🥺 like every time one of these padawans gets knighted i feel like such a proud parent! (also bonus points for keeve rambling and basically telling avar "you're so fucking cool and i love you." like, same <3)

it was great to finally see what avar was up to during our time jumps between lotj and rising storm and fallen star. we know she was fighting the drengir and then chasing lourna; and we learn from her later that she really struggled with the darkness she encountered, esp when dealing with the drengir over and over. it was good to finally see more of the drengir and see everything that avar was going through

that scene in THR vol. 3 where avar almost killed lourna 👀 like this coming after her reprimanding sskeer for thoughtlessly killing nihil, and also paralleling elzar killing chancey. it was just a really good scene showing that this conflict with the nihil and the drengir and constantly being surrounded by violence and darkness can bring any of the jedi to their tipping point

sskeer and keeve's relationship means SO much to me 🥺💚 definitely one of my fave master-padawan duos to come out of the high republic so far!

really fun and not at all painful reading through the comics after the books and realizing "oh, you're dead. and you're dead. and you--yep you're dead too." like the house (starlight beacon) is haunted!!!!

the artwork when keeve and terec first encountered the nameless was sooooooooo good

i reallyyyy enjoyed the eye of the storm mini-series. learning about the evereni people coming from a world of tempests and storms and how they evolved and adapted not to trust anyone was very good. it was nice finally getting a little more insight into marchion's character

the trail of shadows mini-series might be my favorite so far though! emerick is also SO. COOL. his friendship (and growing bond) with sian was really great. and well, i love a mystery! i love weird force shit! so the creepy lullaby about the nameless being woven throughout was really good.

i haven't been on a movie review channel/person search in a while but last i was i realized that so many of them are rather technical and that's boring..... so i really do trust letterboxd more. of course, there are a lot of just one-liners (i literally do that too) but there are people who write long and deep reviews and those feel so much more personal and give more insights than the ones i've seen floating around the internet.

FOR MOVIE ANALYSIS my favourite channel is lessons from the screenplay!!!!!! i've been watching his videos for ever ever and ever and i love them so much!!1! he has taught me so much, especially when i was just getting more into films!!! so i went to my little playlist of videos and i picked up some about my all time favourite films!!

inglourious basterds - the elements of suspense; my god, do i love this movie....... this is a yearly watch for me, i've memorized the lines and all. the performances are great, the soundtrack is amazing, it's so fucking funny??? and i'm now also realizing how much of a filmbro i'm actually coming off as but do i care? not at all. i love this movie.

annihilation - the art of self-destruction; okay i mentioned this already but i'm doing it again!!!!!!! it's such a fucking experience i really actually hope you'll watch it one day (and that you'll tell me your thoughts) this is also like a life-changer of a movie in my opinion, i often just randomly start thinking about it; the visuals, the insanity of it aaaaahhhh.

blade runner 2049 (2017) - a film about a replicant/an android detective who finds out that another replicant had a child many years ago (replicants cannot have children) and he's now convinced that he is said child this is sci-fi with some action and blood but it's not scary plus points for the insane visuals and the soundtrack 9/10 minus point for it being kind of slow paced?

the nice guys (2016) - a film about two private detectives; one of them is almost cool and the other one is so pathetic i love him so much this is a comedy so 10/10

the man from uncle (2015) - a film about spies spying on each other, it's so fun (the soundtrack is good but we knew that already didn't we smh) 9/10 minus point for armie hammer the cannibal

I suggested inviting a newer male friend (who I’m worried may be kinda into me because he looks at me a lot — I have good peripheral vision and in the environment we’re usually sitting where I can see him — and like always helps me and it’s kinda just a vibe mixed with those things) to the movies if my original friend I invited couldn’t make it and my mom reacted like. like “ohhhhhhh okay” like. Like it was romantic. And I’ve told her I’m not into him. And I was so so uncomfortable by this and it made me kinda anxious and like not wanna invite him anymore because it seems too flirtatious. And I feel like in the past (I’ve had stuff like this happen a lot) I would have thought oh no am I into him because of that reaction but since learning more about comphet…I think it might just be comphet. Which is scary as hell tbh because have I not been attracted to guys this whole time??? On the other hand if i haven’t and I do like girls and the possibility of me being a lesbian gets easier and less heavy on my shoulders (I’m hoping so hard it’ll be like how when I first came out of religion it sucked but now I’m very much at peace with it and glad overall) it’ll be kinda reliving I’m not. Idk. Someone who gets feelings and then backs out because I’m scared of commitment. I’ve always worried I’m like that. I’m starting to think maybe I have a reason (and also…those aren’t Feelings)

My mom has shipped me with my male friends all my life, and while I would have had it anyway probably, I think it really hasn’t helped the comphet. I can think of three examples — all boys — that she liked for me when I was 5 💀 and I didn’t reallyyyy mind it but if I told her it made me uncomfortable she kept doing it

And I thought maybe that was attraction. And I was bad for avoiding it.)

I can't really help you about the mom part but i can try to help w the comphet! try to do some introspection on what happens/happened when you feel attracted towards a man (like are you just attracted and notice or do you see a man, think that he is objectively attractive, and decide you're attracted? That might be a little 'severe' for the lack of a better word but it's kind of how I experienced it)

Also hypothetical scenarios are helpful. idk how old you are or if you've had a relationship yet so i'm just going to assume you haven't for the sake of simplicity. When I imagine a relationship with a woman, it's a lot different than imagining a relationship with a man. Sapphic relationships feel more real and something about it just feels more right. when i imagine being in a relationship with a man, it feels very theoretical and out of place, almost as if i'm imagining a caricature of myself or me in an alternate reality. Trying to imagine relationships with different genders can def help with figuring out if you'd want a relationship with a certain gender

basically, my parents never let me have pets when i was kid, but i was persistent and always kept picking up stray kittens and puppies and bringing them into the house (just to have my dad tell me to leave them outside the door). so one fine evening while i was playing in my lil sandpit, i saw something moving around in the grass and my 6/7 year old dumbass started chasing it around and i guess the creature wasn't fast enough because i accidentally stepped on its tail and managed to pick it up (yay!). and then when i got it into my hands, i realised that it wasn't a kitty, it wasn't a puppy, it wasn't even a damn hedgehog, it was a FUCKING RAT. but i was gonna settle for anything, so i took it inside like "I FOUND A MOUSE."

i can't remember what exactly happened after but my rat got thrown outside and i got taken to the doctor the next morning bc my mum was scared i'd get fleas or something worse.

the first thing that i noticed is that this arc feels a lot more focused on the battles and gimmicks at first; it kinda takes a while for the story to really kick in, which did make the first bits of it a littleeee boring/bland for me personally. but thats ok

i think part of that is because of how emerald as a character is depicted. i love emerald, but he is a character where for most of the arc, we see him from an outside perspective, via other characters observing him and wondering about him rather than really getting to read his thoughts and learn about him as a person. this can make him feel kind of uninteresting in the beginning, but i dont think its a severe issue or anything.

i do also think that the way his backstory is revealed is a littleee clunky? like having ruby and sapphire just be like "we dont much about you so tell us all about yourself!" feels like kind of an obvious plot device to get emerald backstory and doesnt read very naturally. but i dont rlly care, esp since we then immediately go INTO his backstory which is very enjoyable to read through.

speaking of which, i love his dynamic with crystal so so much. i think it's really cute how the whole reason he became a dexholder was just because he wanted to train with her :)

and speaking of emerald's friends........ latios and latias YIPPEE. i love that they just like him for some reason and go around being his friends its cute as hell. and of course. latias. im not going to lie to you and say that human latias isnt cute as hell IT'S CUTE AS HELL OK. ALL OF ITS OUTFITS ARE ADORABLE AND I LOVE IT JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. sorry...........

moving on, i reallyyyy love ruby and sapphire in this arc. their dialogue and just general characterization is. mwah. i love them trying to be friends with emerald and him just totally shutting them down LOL

i will say that ruby forgetting the climax of R&S is. kind of stupid and feels like a way to just artificially create more relationship drama between these two. i think that was mentioned/implied at the end of R&S but i forgot lol. anyways iirc i dont think this gets resolved until ORAS which is fucking insane. we'll see but considering that my memories of ORAS are not good, i feel like it's very likely that i'll end up just retconning this in my personal hc lol

ok DUDE. the shit with the blue orb was sooooo sick. i was so happy that they explored that a bit more bcuz the whole thing of the orbs corrupting anyone who touches them (and RUBY AND SAPPHIRE HAVING BOTH DONE THAT) was really fucking cool and i def thougt it could be touched on more.

i like how we learn about it more not just for the sake of it, but also it ends up being relevant because of archie. and we get to learn through it that there are permanent side effects no matter what, via sapphire's eyes apparently having a dim glow to them because of her contact w the blue orb? which um. is fucking sick

circling back to archie, him being guile is genuinely a cool twist and i didnt see it coming even though i have literally read this before. also him literally KILLING(?) maxie for another shot at life is genuinelyyyy fucking crazy. and i like how they tied in team galactic, it makes this feel at least a little connected to the upcoming chapter.

ok and now. something that's not at all relevant to the chapter as a whole but i have to talk about bcuz to middle school me this was the only thing that mattered about this arc

gold and silver in this arc make me sooooo fucking ill oh my lawrd. this shit is still just as crazy as it was in middle school WHAT ARE WE DOING RIGHT NOW

ok first of all. gold giving silver the ring (via very much Holding His Hand) and calling him his buddy. looking absolutely MURDEROUS after archie taps on the petrified silver. i love how this arc shows just how much gold cares about silver. crystal too ofc, but its less expected from gold due to how rocky their relationship was in the beginning. like that is his friend and if you touch him you will die. understand?

and then of course this moment oh my godddd bro. like him calling silver his buddy is just like aww theyre friends but then gold had to go and act as gay as possible about it. WHY ARE YOU FULL FACE BLUSHING OVER SILVER OVERHEARING YOU CALL HIM YOUR FRIEND! YOU ARE GAY!!!!!!!!!!

also i already said this in my initial post about this moment but like. its even gayer when you imagine what it looked like without gold's inner thoughts here, like silver tells him he heard and gold just blushes and looks all nervous/embarrassed. and then silver just continues talking. like hello.......

ANYWAYS. YELLOWWWWWWW

them getting to deal the final blow was fucking awesome. they didnt get to do a lot this arc since they were petrified with the others, but im glad that they were specifically highlighted here. getting to see them finally as officially part of the dexholders is so cool! esp since we dont get to see yellow past this point, i think this is a nice little mini sendoff to their character (for now)

seeing all the dexholders interact in general is just so fun and makes me so so happy. they're a family!!! they look out for each other!!! grahhhh

anyways. that's about all i have to say :) i've become a little busier so i dont know when i'll be starting diamond & pearl, but im very excited to since that means I GET TO SEE DPP AGAIN. MY CHILDREN.

its gonna be so polyamorous in this bitch i cant fucking wait. esp to expose anyone unfamiliar with pokespe or that specific chapter with the absolute canon polycule that is those three. oh my lordddd i miss them so much i cant wait.

I understand why you don’t really know how to feel about your family not speaking up in the past. Like if they felt so strongly about it that they just had to talk about it, why not talk to you? I get not wanting to hurt your feelings, but if that was the case they shouldn’t be talking about it now because what’s the point? It’s all said and done now. Bringing all of this up now is just unnecessary. It won’t do anything but make you feel stupid (which you are NOT, they say love is blind for a reason) for not noticing all of the things they did sooner. It's been such a rough day finding all this out and like trying to wrap my head around why they kept it from me but talked about it behind my back :/ I do come from a gossipy chaotic family so I shouldn't be shocked but I somehow still am and it just makes me feel a bit sick with embarrassment the things they've been thinking but not saying. Like so much of it feels like they must have been judging me for being with him, like my dad was trying to tell me it wasn't that they judged me for it they were just "a bit surprised by him..." Which feels like actually they were judging me A LOT? Like surprised that I'd be with someone like him... It's maybe my own paranoia but when my self esteem is on the floor because I myself am surprised that I was with someone like him (but also not at all surprised because it's exactly what I'm like) hearing that other people were too and so much so they all talked about it behind my back is like 🤢🤢🤢
