Gonna take minute to gush about my self-insert/isekai victim, Ruth (as featured above) and also my selfships (Smoker and Drake, separate or together, I am not picky lol).

Ruth's fully aware of the plot of One Piece and all the events that are going to occur, as well as charcter backstories, because of her unfortunate run in with good ol' Truck-kun. Depending on what I'm writing she either gets forcibly drafted into the Straw Hats by Luffy, forcibly adopted by Whitebeard, or ends up following one of her boyfriends around like a lost cat. I also gave her a (very much overpowered but I do not care) Devil Fruit, a mythical Zoan that gives her a variety of abilities in addition to turning into a Western Dragon. (All of this normally results in my fics starring her becoming Ace lives fics, and also Whitebeard Lives too.). She's 26 post-timeskip, so ten years younger than Smoker, but she doesn't really care. People tend to think she's younger cause she's got a rounder face.

IDK why I looked at Smoker and went 'oh yeah he's my favorite now' but I did. I love the idea of him being 'openly' in a relationship with a pirate (or two) and having to kind of reconsile that with his Marine morals and whatnot. (by the relationship being openly known about, I mean Tashigi knows about it.) He loves Ruth a lot, but she tends to get herself into situations(tm) and it makes him worry. she always comes back though.

The relationship with Drake is kind of weird, because I am NOT anywhere near any arc featuring him in my actual watchthrough but I know enough to be mildly obsessed with him. Which is also how Ruth feels, mildly obsessed. I like the idea of Zoan users pairing up because they can take a little more punishment from their partners. She tries outright attacking Queen and Whos-who because they hurt him, but she doesn't really get the chance to fight either of them.

in general, she loves both her husbands, and they love her. Smoker occasionally wakes up being smothered by two oversized lizards. I write angst and smut and fluff and all manner of stuff about them. (I also tend to put her into ships with whatever character I find attractive, but I always go back to these two)

AH YES ABSOLUTELY

So I've been working on this story since the end of 2018 and aaaah. I actually finally made a map of where this story takes place, know as the realm of Onlyean, controlled by the elven Syldonian Empire.

This story however has been put on pause for a little bit because my brain has been obsessed with some other OCs (gay immortal criminals which I would also gladly talk about). But I'll return to this eventually.

Here's a little summary of the characters and then I'll put the story/how the world works under a read more(in case you only wanted to know about the characters instead of the story, which understandable).

Carlisle Jones

Captain of the Bloody Vagabond (crew includes Edward (navigator), Taliesin (first mate/quartermaster), Kaylie (medic), Da'len (cook), Hazel (rigger/gunner), and Hawthorn (rigger/gunner).

Half human (mother), half water elemental (father)

His parents actually own a tavern so that is where he got a sense of adventure, as well as listening to his father's stories from when he worked for the imperial navy as a sailor.

He has two sisters, Loreley (who is also a pirate) and Diamond (known as a "lady of the night")

He's actually good friends with Diamond's sex worker friends. He'll even financially help those out who need it (when his sister tells him) but he doesn't actually use their services.

He's all about the story and is a PHENOMENAL storyteller. But that means he'll often choose the riskier jobs/paths if it means he'll have something cool to talk about later.

The colors of his ship are a black rose in the shape of heart with two white swords going through it on a red backdrop. Carlisle himself only uses one sword.

He himself doesn't use magic but does support those who do.

His first ever treasure was gifted to him when he was a child by a smuggler who he often heard tell stories. It's a silver rose pendant with a red pearl inside where the petals would be. He still wears it to this day.

Edward Syldon

Trans elven male from the royal family, and only heir to the throne. However, his parents are unaware that he's trans, as it's a matriarchal society.

He joins Carlisle and his crew after they tried (and failed) to steal from his family. He disguises himself as just a servant and brings them the object they were looking for.

He's never been outside of the castle so he's very new and fresh to everything.

Even though Carlisle tries to charm him, he's NOT having it. This is definitely more of a slow burn. Like Edward doesn't realize he has feelings until like the second book.

Although, Edward is a sucker for cheesy romance novels about the rugged types sweeping royalty off their feet (he never lets Carlisle know).

He's weary about magic but that's because his mom (the Queen) hates it. She couldn't outright outlaw it, but the Empire makes it known they don't trust magic users.

He eventually actually DOES start using magic (specifically force based) though panics the first time he does.

He's VERY smart and uses the stars to navigate the ship. He's also an excellent swordsman and rivals even Carlisle's abilities.

He's more reserved/introverted, but is very perceptive. He's usually the one that picks up on danger before the rest of the crew does.

While him and Carlisle butt heads in public, as their relationship develops, they're more soft with each other in private.

Anyways yeah I love my funky little pirate OCs. If you do want to know more about the story (at least the first book), I did write some of it below. I don't want to reveal ALL my secrets quite yet. I'm also planning on self-publishing it and putting it in my shop, because I don't really care about it being popular and don't want to jump through editorial/publisher hoops. Though I probably will hire an editor just to be on the safe side lol.

I'm calling the series "The Vagabonds", as the name of the pirate ship is called the Bloody Vagabond, with Captain Carlisle Jones leading the crew. There are nine different races in this world, after the nine different gods. There are also these powerful artifacts that each of the gods created that now are being sought after by someone trying to become a god. Legend goes that if one were to collect all nine and then put their soul into another object, they can ascend mortality. That's where Carlisle and his crew come in.

They are hired in the first book to retrieve something known as The Heart, one of these magical artifacts. The troubling thing is that it's being kept in the Capital, Syldonia, by the royal elven family. Carlisle sneaks in, fights the princess trying to steal it, and gets his ass kicked. This "princess" though is actually Edward (he's trans).

So all of these artifacts DO something. The Heart brings to life whatever the wearer desires. It was gifted to Edward by his father for his birthday. When he puts it on, he appears as a male. However, neither he nor Carlisle KNOW what The Heart looks like and Edward things it's just a magical piece of jewelry (because enchanted items and magic does exist in this world). Edward thinks Carlisle is after something else that was gifted to him.

Wanting adventure and to get away from his controlling mother (this society is a matriarchy and Edward DOES NOT want to rule), he dons The Heart, takes the artifact he thought Carlisle was after, and asks to join his crew. Cue adventures along the way as they deliver it lol

I also created my own system of magic that is really cool and I can't wait to explore it more (because I literally JUST finished the rules). So magic flows through everyone and everything and anyone can tap into it. However, it is linked directly to one's soul and personality. Different personality traits means different types of ways the magic is used (example protective means force based magic). The more one uses magic AND a specific type, the more that personality trait affects them (including negative traits, like the example above can be possessive). So magic isn't exactly outlawed by the Empire frowns down on it (FOR A SECRET REASON).

So Carlisle is the Captain (he's actually half water elemental, half human), Edward (elf) joins as a navigator, then there's also Taliesin (half elf siren) the first mate, Da'len (Diatan, essentially tiefling) the cook, Kaylie (smallkin) the medic, and the two half raven animalfolk, half air elemental rigger twins Hazel and Hawthorn (Hazel is an excellent thief while Hawthorn is good with his words).

OH RIGHT so death isn't always permanent, ESPECIALLY if they use magic. Sirens, wraiths, mermaids, and selkies are all different types of "undead" beings who used magic while alive and now get a second chance at life. Of the four, sirens are the only ones that don't need to feed on live creatures/magic to continue to survive.

Abridged Synopsis: Halcyon Myles can see spirits and she doesn't realize until an amnesiac “ghost” saves her life. She is then forced to (begrudgingly) help him and all the other ghosts she comes across, accidentally stumbling across mystery and conspiracy and making friends in the process.

POTENTIAL TW: suicidal thoughts and self harmful behaviors (in the very first chapter especially), familial neglect and emotional manipulation, mental health issues, death and dying, hospitals, traumatic events and the recovery that follows

Personal Thoughts: This was my first ever batfam fic and it honestly ruined the rest of them for me. Hal is such a cool character and I'm always a sucker for ghost powers but the way the author writes them out and expands upon Hal's were really fun to see and experience. Romance is not exactly at the forefront of the story but her and Jason are still super adorable. I don't know a ton of the DC lore so I cannot speak to canonical accuracy but this is a very fun read and a nice mix of fluff, humor, and angst that I'm sure plenty of people will enjoy.

The Sandman

Abridged Synopsis: A cursed mortal reader, forced to wander the realms endlessly forever, falls into The Dreaming and develops an unlikely friendship with the Dream Lord himself. Their relationship told in vignettes over the span of centuries.

POTENTIAL TW: violence against the reader (some believe they are a witch and there are violent acts that stem from that in a chapter or two and are mentioned at times in others), depictions of blood and wounds, talk of difficulty sleeping, loneliness and isolation, ANGST

Personal Thoughts: The descriptions of this story are some of the most beautiful I've ever read. Despite being on the shorter side tibyim is a gorgeous piece with so much emotional depth and vibrant storytelling. Their reader character, only ever called by the title "Wanderer," develops such an interesting relationship with Dream and it is always so beautiful to read about over and over again. Reader does tend to be referenced as she and her as far as I can remember, so I hope that doesn't turn people off too much. The author also has some bonus content on their tumblr @the-darklings that I def recommend checking out if you enjoy the main story.

Jujutsu Kaisen

Until Gojo Satoru by NoBirdWithintheCage - Gojo Satoru x OFC

Abridged Synopsis: Yuina Ema comes from a family of sorcerers who live outside of jujutsu society, until she is discovered by Gojo Satoru after murdering a few people and is forced to abandon her family and entire life lest she be labeled a curse user like the rest of them.

POTENTIAL TW: abandonment, death and grieving, gore, sexual content, complicated familial bonds, old fashioned traditions, sexism and misogyny, future fertility issues and feelings surrounding that, JJK typical violence

Personal Thoughts: This fic actually got me through the last few months of my senior year of college no joke. Ema is cool and cute but also weird and eldritch horror level terrifying. There's a lot more depth involved in terms of character exploration and world building and watching that through the lens of someone who knew about sorcery and was forced into playing the game against her will is such an interesting experience. So far the story exists in 3 parts and has only just sort of finished the events of JJK 0 but the pre-canon story lines are so interesting I promise you won't even care.

Two Halves; Hitotsu Marugoto by monowriter - Gojo Satoru x OFC

Rating: Explicit

Status: Ongoing (Currently 44 Chapters)

Abridged Synopsis: Juniper Smalls lands in Japan for the first time and proceeds to have a REALLY bad day. And it just continuously gets worse.

POTENTIAL TW: death and dying, gore, parental death, adoption, reincarnation bullshit, kidnapping, fairly graphic body horror mentions/descriptions

Personal Thoughts: Juniper is fucking hilarious and watching her take a no bullshit approach to Gojo's literal everything is wonderful in a way i didn't know i needed. Very OC lore heavy but it is integrated into the plot in a way that feels so natural. Learning about it at the same pace as Juniper really helps build intrigue and suspense and offers such a unique take on jujutsu society. honestly just a super great read all around. But just to keep people aware there is a bit of an age gap (Juniper is 22 and Gojo is 28 and it starts a bit after the prison episode in season 1).

Criminal Minds

Something Like a Star by recollins - Spencer Reid x OFC

Rating: M

Status: Ongoing (39 Chapters, but has not been updated since 2021)

Abridged Synopsis: College student Aria DiMaggio gets a once in a lifetime offer to intern at the BAU from the legend himself, Jason Gideon. But her first day on the job comes crashing down when she's fired not even an hour after arriving at Quantico bc Gideon hired her behind Strauss' back.

POTENTIAL TW: domestic violence and abuse, mentions of drug abuse and addiction, stalking, emotional manipulation and abuse from family members, death of a sibling, CM typical violence, be sure to read the tags and beginning notes as they do mention triggers as well

Personal Thoughts: Pretty sure this is the first fic I ever read on ao3. I was in a big CM resurgence and really liked Aria's characterization. The author pulled from their own personal experiences and the story was actually a personal project for them to work through their own stuff (which they do mention in more detail in the foreword of the fic). Aria is so sweet and her personality meshed really well with the team, especially with Spencer (WINK WONK) and I found their relationship development so enjoyable to read. WARNING: the last updated chapter ends on a not so fun angsty cliffhanger, and has not been updated since (baby please come home the kids miss you) you have been warned.

Naruto

Symphonies by JJGrace42 - Kakashi Hatake x OFC

Abridged Synopsis: A time travel fix-it fic following Kiyoko Uchiha, a girl desperate to save everyone she loves from certain death.

POTENTIAL TW: death and dying, violence, child soldiers, time travel/reincarnation related trauma, Naruto typical violence

Personal Thoughts: I really love this story bc I feel like it's different from a lot of time travel fix-its. From the very first chapter we don't know a single thing about Kiyoko or her past bc it's not even from her POV until like chapter 3. And the non-linear aspect does a good job balancing Kiyoko's intentions with her new reality and showing why she's so desperate for that change. Also the Uchiha clan is so crazy strong and I always forget. Basically two awkward child prodigies trying their best to fumble through peer interaction. Find the author here on tumblr @jjgrace42!

The Year That Changed Everything by BlueGreenPurple - Kakashi Hatake x OFC (romance isn't the main focus at the moment but it IS there)

Abridged Synopsis: A group of women are discovered beneath an abandoned building in Konohagakure several years after the Nine Tails attack, each in varying states of pregnancy. The fallout of this is astronomical in more ways than one

POTENTIAL TW: kidnapping, child death, child abuse, torture, birth related trauma, forced pregnancy, teen pregnancy, violence against women and children, Naruto typical violence

Personal Thoughts: This story is absolutely bat shit insane, fuck Shimura Danzo me and the homies hate Shimura Danzo. Very slow building but not in a way that drags the story down and although it follows a large group of OC's they are all very interesting and have pretty distinct personalities. It's not a traditional Naruto OC story but it is definitely intriguing and goes fairly into clan politics in a way that not many people might think about. The author doesn't have a tumblr but their twitter and discord is in their ao3 bio.

Great Ninja's Don't Make Great Parents by YuuTama - Kakashi Hatake x OFC

Rating: Teen and Up

Status: Ongoing (Currently 46 Chapters)

Abridged Synopsis: Hinode Uchiha is too tired for all of the baggage she has to deal with, but at least she's not dealing with it alone.

Personal Thoughts: A really cool take on the Uchiha clans curse of hatred on a more personal level and how the main character Hinode tries to deal with the legacy of an entire clan on her back while simultaneously adopting every single junior ninja in Konoha. Hinode also gets a little kid crush on Sakumo and it's a little bit funny considering the fact that Kakashi gets such an obvious crush on her later on. One minor hang up is that TECHNICALLY her and Shisui are cousins (her mother was adopted into Shisui's father's family and she married an Uchiha man) and I know that marriage within the clan is more normalized bc of their dojutsu and it's not super talked about but I wanted to at least mention it.

This is just a really fun and light read that kinda gives late 90s/early 2000s rom com vibes in the best way possible. Personal Thoughts: I thought this was a fun take on the RE universe, especially considering that after RE3 Carlos just...fucks off and doesn't return. Its sourced a lot from canon but it's an entirely original story that feels to seamlessly fit into the RE universe. The reader character ends up working as a tech analyst at the DSO and is a little reckless but very self sufficient and confident in themselves and their skills which I think was really cool.

Personal Thoughts: I discovered this in August, inhaled it in like 3 days, and then proceeded to re-read my favorite parts over and over for the next like month and a half like a mad woman. I still think about this story and the sequel all the time. Sophie and Law match each others' freak in a way that is somehow the dream and deeply concerning. They are so wonderful, I want what they have except not at all, you know? They're truly so weird and they embrace that weirdness fully and I adore them so much. Sophie's character development is so raw and real and so beautifully written. I cried multiple times reading this story and I don't usually cry over fics at all. It's funny and witty and balances the tone of OP that truly translates the heart and soul of the source material in such a seamless way and expands upon it wonderfully. Sophie's character may be a bit...annoying at first for some but it is a result of her growing up in the very clinical and isolating environment that is the World Government and personally I think it just makes her growth and the journey she goes on all the more satisfying to watch unfold. There is a bit of an age gap between Sophie and Law (she turns 18 in MNP and is 21 in the post-timeskip sequel to Law's 26), and it does come up a few times throughout. You can check the author out here on tumblr @fablecore, she does some beautiful drawings to accompany the fic and Sophie is such a cutie patootie I'm obsessed with her.

She is a very interesting character with a lot of mystery surrounding her past and it's written in a way that desperately leaves you wanting more. Also the original content plot arcs are so well written and culturally rich, I love OP fics that create their own islands and cultures.

There's a lot of world building and character development currently happening at the moment so it's looking to be a long-fic in the making but the plot is so compelling that you can't stop reading. It kind of reminds me of the way your eyes can't look away from the screen when you're watching a horror film. I just wanna wrap my little girl in a blanket and hide her away forever. Also there's really pretty art that goes along with some of the chapters and you can check some of it out at the authors' tumblr @berylthemanatee!

And our protagonist (who whips out the fake name Shellie bc she's a modern girl with a sense of self preservation) has such a fun and feral personality that makes you really wanna root for her. The author doesn't have a tumblr but there's a user @thekraftcryptid who has done some really cool art for the story that I highly recommend checking out, although there are spoilers and quotes from the story in their pieces so you have been warned.

For her it's not just about adapting to your circumstances and trying to recall canon that she's not super familiar with, there are actual physical and psychological repercussions to her entering a world that was not and never will be meant for her. AND THERE'S LORE ABOUT IT GUYS THIS STORY IS SO GOOD!

Tamaki is such a cutie patootie and reader in this story is equally cutie and patootie and they deserve to cutie and patootie together!!! The Wanderer by thebipolarme - Gwaine x OFC

POTENTIAL TW: era typical views on women, language that is very offensive to women, angst, kidnapping, assault, depictions of blood and wounds, torture, war, there are a few chapters with chapter specific tags so i def recommend double checking those, Merlin typical violence

Personal Thoughts: I will admit I am a sucker for the "modern girl falling through time to the past" trope. This fic literally reignited my love for BBC Merlin and Gwaine specifically so fiercely I’m actually a bit concerned for my personal health. The author did a really good job balancing canon and original content and based some of her original chapter and her OC on the actual wife of Sir Gawaine in the legends, "The Loathly Lady" Dame Ragnelle, which I thought was really interesting. One thing I will say is that I wish there was a bit more character development between Marian and a few of the other characters but the interactions we do see definitely make up for it. Especially her interactions with Gwaine (which very much give Beatrice and Benedick from Much Ado About Nothing vibes). There were times that I laughed out loud reading not only their conversations but her conversations with the other characters as well. Marian is a self assured, head strong woman who knows what she wants despite the times she's forced to live in and there is something about her character that is just so lovable. Overall the story definitely reflects the tone of the source material rather well and although I have a few personal hang ups about it, it doesn't change the fact that I've already had to force myself to pace my second full read through despite only finding it a few days ago.

Personal Thoughts: I actually discovered this fic from TikTok. The author does some really cool artwork to accompany the story (and just in general) so I recommend checking them out at frogbee_studios and they have other socials tagged in the foreword of their story. Stephanie is so funny and so exhausted in a way that is entirely fitting for a child learning their dad is the god of wine and revelry and the (reluctant) guardian for a summer camp. It has such heard despite it being very early on in Stephanie's story an the comedy captures the heart of PJO perfectly. If you like creative demigod OC stories then this is one that I HIGHLY recommend.

It's mostly just Gray talking about crazy things from the real world and the guys being so confused and I LOVE IT.

So I recently had this discussion with another user of Uzi being a wholesome cool big sis/parental substitute to a human child. Think maybe you could draw some cute little drawings of this? A drawing of her hugging the kid with them bundled up in a blanket, taking a protective stance in front of them, tucking them into bed, trying to come off as edgy and cool while also cuddling the kid, stuff like that?

I had a whole idea surrounding this concept and I am always a sucker for edgy gremlins having a softer side underneath all that angst. Uzi is not exempt from this, teen angst be damned.

Once the two make it to Earth, the two have to take a short road trip to make it to JC Jensen (on Earrrrth) and along the way, find a runaway/kidnapped kid. N, being the way he is, manages to convince Uzi to let the kid tag along at least until they make it to civilization and can pawn the kid off onto an adult human who’ll know what to do. Typical road trip shenanigans ensue and Uzi finds herself getting more and more attached to this kid (he and N became besties five minutes after he found him), and maybe starts to rethink her whole plan to kill all humans (she knows the higher-ups at JC Jensen are bad but maybe not all of humanity has to be punished for what the company did to her people). Along the way the kidnappers or some bad people catch up to them and Uzi manages to keep the kid safe until N can reach them and invoke the fear of god into these guys. The police and the kid’s parents show up, they send the kid back to his mom, touching moment, blah blah blah, okay, now back to killing some capitalists.

The bottom doodle is from an AU/ OC storyline me and some friends have been making on Discord. I’m sure you all know about X (the tall lady) from the gratuitous number of drawings I’ve been posting, but she also ends up getting an adopted daughter named T (the small disassembly drone), who belongs to @edibletrees2 . T is the last of her generation/line of drones, and is pretty much mentally and physically stuck as a 7-year old and has to eat metal instead of oil. The duo and X end up finding her after she flees her previous squad and take her in.

It takes Uzi some time to get used to having T around (especially after T tried to gnaw on her leg while she was asleep) but as it turns out, feral goth girl edginess is no match for the power of ✨Babie™✨ energy and T has tons of that to spare. The two also end up bonding over having garbage dads (T’s old squad leader was not a nice guy) and Uzi becomes like an overprotective, grumpy big sister (T gets a lot of older siblings/family figures in this AU because it’s what she deserves).

Anyway, Uzi definitely has a softer side under all that teen angst and repression but like hell she’s letting anyone see it.

First year

Sokka’s first year is boring 

He meets Zuko, makes some friends in his house, probably a bunch of OCs

He finds the kitchens on day 2

Hogwarts just hires people who like to cook, who cares whether they’re magical beings or humans or whatever, there’s all sorts of really cool kitchen magic though

He’s always asking questions in class and you can tell why he’s a Ravenclaw

He wants to learn about everything

And once he knows how to do more than shoot a few sparks, he’s going to start inventing

He’s going to do some truly awesome things with transfiguration and potions

And I can’t wait for him to start arithmancy

Like let me tell you, Sokka is a genius, and he’s probably going to be the only one who understands magical theory

But I think she secretly cares a bit and threatens anyone that looks at his scar wrong, because Zuko helped her a lot with some stuff

I think she’s going to be in the same year as Katara and Aang? I’m not sure

I have plans for Azula

I think Mai and Ty Lee are going to be in Zuko’s year, but closer to Azula

Mai and Zuko will date at some point

But she and Zuko had a short relationship

I have this whole idea that if Suki or the Kyoshi are also werewolves, they have really cool rituals to respect and honor the moon spirit and that allows them the ability to turn into wolves whenever they want and not just the full moon

So other people can also be born as werewolves, but different groups have different ways of being a werewolf

Zuko (Zuko’s fifth year) witnesses something unspeakable

Sokka is kidnapped

Zuko saves Sokka

That’s all the detail I have on this XD

But the unspeakable thing and the kidnapping are going to be this year’s mystery

Zuko, the idiot, still thinks Sokka is the avatar at this point

Aang is like no

But doesn’t bother to say he is

So Zuko thinks Katara is the avatar for a hot sec

But has some nonsense logic that there’s no need to stop following Sokka, because if he or his sister are the avatar, of the two, Sokka’s more likely to give something away

Which okay, Zuko, not actually terrible reasoning, except Sokka’s been leading you around by the nose for ages

There’s none of this the avatar rotates which element they can use

Because that’s predictable

And half the fun is that Zuko is trying his best, but has zero clues

Fifth year

This is the big question

I’m not sure what to do with this year

I hope Sokka can start inventing

I want him to make some cool shit

There won’t be an equivalent of the DA as far as I can see :( I can’t figure out how I’d structure that

I think it would be really cool to see them all learning how to use their elemental magic though

Toph and Zuko don’t really need the help

Katara and Aang have always had to deal with all the crap going on, so they haven’t had much time for it

I’m wondering if I should bring in Paku

Aang has it rough, because air magic users are really rare now

So I think he might work with Iroh, because he’s studied other styles of magic extensively

Sixth year

I think Mai had to figure out she was bi

I truly think Zuko doesn’t have time for gender

For like five years, he’s like DO YOU KNOW WHO THE AVATAR IS and if you don’t, he’s already forgotten who you are

So my headcanon is that he’s pan and when he and Sokka eventually get together, Sokka doesn’t know anything about his orientation and just knows he dated Mai, so he’s like “are you cool with me being a dude? Sorry, I just know you’ve dated Mai, so just checking haha?”

And Zuko’s so done with all the random crap he’s dealt with that he’s like “wow, you have a dick? Congratulations”

But then realizes Sokka’s actually concerned and talks it out

Anyway, everyone’s leveled up now, we’re all masters at elemental and non-elemental magic (seriously, Sokka could’ve sat for his NEWTs last year if he wanted to. He’s that far ahead and magic is that intuitive for him)

I have no idea what will happen this year lol

I kind of want an invasion of Hogwarts, I know I’ve been trying not to just blindly follow the books completely :/ So I guess we’ll see?

And he shows up as the assistant DADA professor and he’s like “Hi, Zuko here” and then he’s like “I mean, fuck, Professor Zuko, I mean, fuck...just call me Zuko. You guys all know me”

And the gaang is all like wtf Zuko, we thought we would only see you for breaks

And he’s like you really thought I’d leave you

The plan is that he’ll be an apprentice for a year or so and then take over as professor

Toph punches him so hard, Katara has to heal the bruise

I can guarantee a happy ending

I’ll do whatever angst on the way, but they’ll all be happy

I’m like 89% sure they’re all going to end up working at or around Hogwarts (why work for the government, when you can invest in teaching all these talented kids)

One more thing, there is going to be rep in this au. I know there’s at least one aro ace character. Multiple bi characters. One gay character. One pan character. One trans character that I know of, but I need to plan that out a bit more. Some of these orientations and identities, I can’t speak to personally. For instance, while I know a decent amount about the medical aspects of transitioning, I don’t think I’d be able to write the experience of gender dysphoria and give that its due right now. So unless it’s something I have first hand experience with, most of the individual emotions as part of figuring things out might happen off screen. That doesn’t mean I won’t bring up issues the characters may have had in the past, but any that I talk about, I’d have to do more research into first. Also, partly because this is mostly from Sokka and Zuko’s perspectives, we’re mostly going to be present for what other characters tell them about their experiences

About Lilly:

She is a bow user with a dendro vision from Fontaine

She is really really shy and quite weak. But she is really smart and surprisingly good when it come to creat plan ! Also even if she is physically weak she is really good with her vision

Even if she is the older of my two oc (since she is 23) she is really small (roughly 155cm tall-) and younger looking

 Lilly didn't have the best childhood ever: her parents were travelers from Sumeru, the mother ended up being pregnant and didn't want to have a child with her in her adventure... so they dropped her into an orphan in Fontaine- Lilly as a child was extremely outgoing and was kind of that cliché of the tomboy (to be honest she is still a tomboy, it's just that the shyness hide to personality trait of her) and used to hang out with a lot of boys. However when they turned to teenager they kicked her of the group because she was "a girl" (something really stupid). After that she tried to hang out with girl wich ended up in a bad, really bad relationship with one girl(basically the girl was always really mean to her but made her believe it was for her own good). When she was around 15/16 she just straight up decided to be alone as she lost all trust she had toward people, this is when she got interested into flowers/botany and arts (which make sens since Fontaine is the hub of art and stuff) ! She really like painting flowers and she finds something comforting into taking care of flowers ( I think there is a quote in beastar that go like " I need the flowers and the flowers need me. We're all weak here so we have to support each other" and that sentence would explain perfectly Lilly mindset toward flowers). Also haha to add more angst to that... At one point when she was traveling to Sumeru with Lysandra she saw her biological parents, and she found out they had another child and they seem to live a happy life wich of course broke her heart since it made her feel unwanted again (but since I’m a sucker for the found family trope Lysandra was like “fuck that” and made her understand that she isn’t unwanted)

She really like listening to people and when she is travelling with Lysandra she really like when people talk about their adventure stories or about the history of where they are ! But she is too shy to ask most of the time :(

About Lysandra:

She is a claymore user with a pyro vision from Mondstats

She is part of the “my chara design absolutely doesn’t look like my vision” squad (her main color is purple, she is like the opposite of Beidou)

 Unlike her friend she is extremely outgoing ! It's quite rare for her to dislike someone (unless of course they did something really bad), she is that kind of character who will try to get along with everyone wich can be annoying to some-

She is the younger of the two being only 20 ! but she is the tallest as she is roughly 190cm tall. Also I suck at drawing muscles- so body wise she is meant to look like Noi from Dorohedoro :)

 She have 3 goal in life: 1st is becoming the strongest person alive (she want and will throw hands with Archon even if she know it will kill her) , 2nd is to become a well known adventurer and be the model of people and 3rd is to get a wife and maybe childs to share them her stories :)

Unlike Lilly again she had quite a cool childhood: her parents are really loving, she had some good friends and overall was great ! however Lysandra standed out a little too much and was what many old people called her "an oddity": Since she was a child she was extremely physically strong (like she had the strength of an adult as a little child-) wich actually scared some people- her strength only grew stronger as she grew up too the point where right now she can easily play around/fight with a claymore in only one hand- People often praised her for that as she could become the next great adventurer but thing is that she isn't really clever, she doesn't plan anything and jump straight into the action, wich is why her whole body is covered in scars and bruises (btw she wear her scares with pride , even if a lot of men told her it was unnattractive and that she won't ever get a husband..wich is great because she want a wife lmao)

She actually see Bennette as her little brother and do not care about his bad luck- after all she went thought bad stuff already, breaking her legs once more or getting struck by lighting is nothing- (you know that one vine “Hey, I’m a lesbian” “I thought you were american ???” I 100 % them)

Lysandra really like fighting but for her it’s more like a learning experience and not just for the thrill of thing. Fighting with people is a way to know more about them and creat stronger bond :)

About the two:

The way Lilly and Lysandra met is quite funny. On her 20 birthday Lysandra decided to get drunk...but like, badly drunk- so she ended up falling asleep drunk into one of those chart merchants use to take their goods… long story short she ended up in Fontaine and once she woke up she was just so insanely confused… she tried to asked some kind of help but people were a little scared of her because of her look- At one point she ended up spotting Lilly who was all alone painting flowers… She tried to talk to her but noticed she was really shy so she tried to make her feel comfortable- Thing is the two got interrupted by some treasure hoarder , Lysandra wasn’t impressed by them and used her vision but Lilly used her dendro vision at the same time- the two vision hurted badly  the mans ! Lysandra was surprised and the two girl quickly bonded over the fact they were vision holders… Lilly, who was still shy and insecure but hate to leave people alone, proposed to Lysandra to help her go back to Mondstats. On their way there Lysandra learned Lilly how to use weapons to defend herself (wich she ended up choosing the bow- Lilly wasn’t strong enough to hold Lysandra’s claymore), and Lilly helped Lysandra with a lot of thing such as cooking ( Lysandra suck at cooking) , planning, medecine , ext. The two girl quickly understood they where a perfect match for each other and Lysandra asked her to join her in her adventure… which Lilly accepted as much as she loved the comfort of her own life , she needed to step out of her comfort zone. Plus her life was boring and Lysandra kind of bringed a spark into her life of loneliness- and Lysandra needed someone to help her because being strong is great but if she die of something stupid well her strenght wouldn’t help- So yeah now they are a duo of adventurers who go around all of Tevyat and do stuff for people :) ! And I guess that would be enought for this post, sorry I always end up writting more than I say I will :’) Also unrelated but I’m 100% up for any other genshin impact oc interacting with mine so like anyone is free to ask how my oc feel about them/ how they feel about mine, ext !

I wanna hear about the rogue kwamis

Oh, boy, I’ve had this concept in my notebook for a while and I have been DYING to talk about it.

First, I should give a shoutout to my boy, Honnk, from my Goose Miraculous post. He’s the Kwami of Mischief, the jewelry is a headband. I don’t know what his power is yet (probably summon pranks at will? or some kind of psychic ability to sense what prank would be best for the moment?) He can only speak in honks, because of course, he’s a goose. He doesn’t really count as a “rogue” kwami, but still deserves an honorable mention because he was so annoying the members of his own miraculous box collectively kicked him out and lost him on purpose. 

From here on out, these are my Official rouge kwamis. For rogues to be considered rogues, the kwamis must purposefully allow their powers to harm their users. 

My longest kwami OC: Hooweh the Hummingbird, Kwami of War. The miraculous is a feathered ponytail decoration. They like sugar water. Hooweh’s power is similar to Hawkmoth’s in that it possesses people, but instead of one blessed with cool powers, it’s many people whipped up into a bloodlust, giving the holder their own army to control. Obviously, this power is called Bloodlust Fever, because I’m a sucker for a good Danganronpa ref. To activate, you say “Hooweh, the battle has begun” and to detransform, you say “The battle is won.” You can only detransform if the battle is actually won though, even if you use the power; if you use Bloodlust Fever and don’t win, the user passes out until they regain some energy then they must binge on sugar water. 

There is Karssa the Crow, Kwami of Death. The miraculous is a onyx feathered shackle. He likes bugs. His power is called Omen, causing an intense, paralyzing fear to anyone around the user. To transform, say “Karssa, let’s fly” or “Karssa, let’s fall.” The Crow is permanently “broken”; if the user is transformed for too long, they start coughing up blood. 

There is Gokka the Shark, the Kwami of Determination. It’s a shark tooth necklace. He likes fish. His power is called Thrash, which is basically feral mode for the user, attacking the enemy recklessly until it stops moving. “Let’s swim,” no detransform phrase because the miraculous won’t let them until they’re time limit is out or the user passes out. 

There is Blaare the Badger, the Kwami of Survival. The miraculous is a stripped barrette. She likes bees and snakes, but settles for honey. Her power is Honey Badger Don’t Give a Shit Unstoppable, making the user indestructible and immune to miraculous powers for 5 minutes. “Blaare, stripes on” “Blaare, monochrome.” Blaare reduces the user’s ability to feel emotions the more they transform.

Diana Fotieni (A keyblade wielder with a keyblade that is supposed to represent a balance of light and darkness. But Diana believes all darkness should be eradicated to protect the people. Acts rather knight like.)

Selene Fenagari (A dog girl who is part of the military of an Empire, all Selene wants to  do is do a good job and get head pats. She acts much like a dog at times, willing to chase balls and even gets a bit distracted easily. But she fights hard for the people of her Empire and will do anything for them.)

Klaus Ter’on (A wolf boy who chases anything with a skirt and is aggressive in fights. He isn’t the brightest but is a strong fighter and can go from being playful to being rabid in a snap. Has a twin sister named Opal)

Miyuki Tenshi (A sweet, kind-hearted girl with a deck of angelic creatures revolving around Sanctuary in the Sky. She has the duel spirit of Happy Lover and is convinced she is the only one who has one as she has yet to meet anyone else who can see her. Has multiple AU verses.)

Aku Yazoi (A wannabe punk boy who is hot tempered and tries to act cool but is a sucker for cute girls. Is kind of a dweeb. Is from 5Ds. Also has fandomless verse for non-Yugioh threads)

Iyumi Akuma (A bratty, whiny, wannabe queen with high delusions. She can be a major pain, demanding attention or demanding  servants but deep down wants a king to serve and be submissive towards.  Can change to be better with time.)

Chloe Thaleia (Mischievous thief from a family of thieves looking for her older brother who left home when she was a child. Will steal from you playfully then give it back once she’s caught. Has a magical greatsword she stole that can use the four elements but she has no idea how to use it.)

Sonafuwa (A Paolumu who gained the ability to turn human. Sonafuwa is shy and tends to stay in the trees and away from hunters so she won’t get hunted. When she meets someone friendly, she becomes more calm and is happy to make a new friend)

Sakura (A Pink Rathian that gained the ability to turn human. Territorial at first but can become friendly if she sees the other means no harm. Prissy and doesn’t mind Hunters so long as she isn’t their target.)

Pokemon:

Piper/Peeps (An Altaira Gijinka girl who can’t speak human very well and tends to just say Peep or chirp or hum. Very innocent and naive and loves to give hugs to people and can be a tad air-headed.)

(I-uh-I saw the Reverse Self-Ship post you made via a mutual and I noticed you were cool and also an adult One Piece fan so-uh-I'mma leave my lil infodump if you don't mind. Also if you have any pronouns you prefer let me know so I can use the proper ones!)

So as of last week I'm now holding hands with the entire Monster Trio from One Piece. Zoro was an immediate infatuation (and the reason I started watching it aside from just finally having time to invest), meanwhile Sanji and especially Luffy I thought were platonic but I was proven wrong pretty quick.

Uh-I headcanon Sanji as a closeted bisexual and in my little self-insert AU I end up being his kind of "bi-awakening" I guess or at least the first thing that makes him ask the important questions. Uh-I have one self-insert that has a good amount of plotting but I've been primarily using an isekai trope for self-inserting. And since it's already an AU for the isekai and the self-inserting itself-and because I'm really attached to the concept of magic(*cough*andimstillnotoverowlhouseending*cough*)-I made my self insert a descendant of the nearly extinct species of magic users aka witches. So I'd have to figure all that out along with the universe itself and Bi panic.

I think the isekai concept came along as I got a lot more attached to the Straw Hats in general since I'm always a sucker for friendship and found family tropes. And when I got into One Piece life had been taking a bad turn so this is kind of an escape for me.

Back to the self-ship though-I'm still not sure how the relationship would start-but I'd end up being just this 5'4 pink-haired autistic male who ended up being the boyfriend to 3 big strong (but also lovable) pirates. And since I'm shorter and they're also a lot stronger than me, they pick me up a lot out of nowhere just because I was there. I'd take cooking lessons from Sanji, I'd nap with Zoro, and I'd teach Luffy some drawing. But I can't have one without the others now, I love them too much now.

I have little nicknames I'd have them call me, some even pre-relationship. Sanji would call me "Cotton-Candy Head" because of the pink hair (but with a lot more affection than when he started calling Zoro Moss-Head) and then "Little Prince". Zoro would call me "Pinky" for the hair and then after I broke out of my shell a bit he'd call me "Puppy" because once I get comfortable around people I got big ol' golden-retriever energy. Luffy would probably call me "Nugget" and "Squishy" (I have a round face and also I can see Luffy looking at me and having a moment kinda like that one of Dory from Finding Nemo where she goes "I Shall Call Him Squishy And He Shall Be Mine. And He Shall Be My Squishy")

And then I have nicknames for them:

Zoro- Matcha Boy/Man, Teddy Bear (I feel like considering the naps and stuff, he would give good snuggles. I mean-the plush I have of him is nice to snuggle with.)

Sanji- Honey Bun, Sweetums (Because he's the biggest sweetie, his hair is a shade of yellow like honey, and honey buns are good!)

Luffy- Sunshine, Cap' (He's the captain of the thousand SUNNY and he's a bright ray of sunshine in my day and Cap sounds cute to say for him as the Captain of the crew)

ah! \o/ I love this - my friend has an OC story where the OC is a witch - but not an isekai style. I love isekais. LOVE them, I don't give a heck what anyone else thinks of them, I love them. (I mention this because I love the witch idea, and you both did it very differently too! Similar concepts don't bother me because people always end up with different details and that Delights Me <3 )

I've got notes for my own self-insert via isekai for a few different titles cause my blorbos don't mesh well. It was quite a good idea to fall for the monster trio cause they're all already all there and together XD

Lock! So I’m writing this fic where OC is Dio’s daughter and Gio’s half sister (but he doesn’t know) and I’ve yet to decide on a stand for her and wanted help choosing. 1-a stand that could manipulate elements and also remove them from a point to create a void which OC can use. Or 2- a pair of stands, one being an angel (which is an embodiment of Jonathan) that protects OC and the other one a demon (dio) which fights for OC (too OP?). SR is rly cool and thought you would be a good person to ask!

hello nonnie!! i’m happy to offer some of my advice!! the only thing being i don’t want to deter any ideas you have, so please take what i say with a grain of salt. ultimately i think ocs should be for having fun, so anything you find interesting should be explored!!

if you’re looking for something that fits in JJBA universe, luckily it has so many crazy stands that almost nothing seems off the table. generally the rule is that a user can only have a single stand, but “colony” stands are the exception to this (mista’s pistols, shigechi’s harvest...) which seems like what the second idea falls into!

personally, i’d say the second idea caught my attention the most. i’m a big sucker for religious allegories, and that plays into it very well. i could picture the use of it, but i can still understand how the first one works as well. i did a lot of reading on the general outline for stands here, and i’d recommend reading through it if you want a detailed explanation of how stands work!! it’s how i spent a lot of time thinking about SR.
