Lily Sukida was here only a moment ago, how could she miss the yuri date?

We're already on the last day of the culture festival... U_U it's not over yet so there may be more to come, but it seems to be a very short and quiet one for Year 3. Even the traditional Tadano force-fem had to be slipped in quickly without much fanfare... still, if the Sukida emoi surprise attack is the climax of the fun, then that's a damn good high to hit.

This chapter is cute! Some Najimi mischief is always welcome. And the TadaKomi date is sweet. It's more of the same from them, but I don't mind that. I like more of the same, if it's something I like. I've already talked a bunch of times about how much Komi has grown, so I'll skim over that even though I love to see it. I'll also skim over the date since all I have to say is "cute!!!". I'm also ignoring the appearance of a certain individual. I am the ignorer.

In my mind palace, Tadano goes girlmode permanently. I think it would improve the manga (the bias opinion of a himejoshi). I daydream of a fanfic about Tadano coming out as a trans girl - he helped Komi break out of her shell and become the person she wanted to be, so it would be narratively beautiful for her to turn around and help Tadano do the same. That would be the major arc of the third year if I was writing this

Some good news!! You may have noticed up above in the links section, but Viz Media has made their manga available to a handful of countries outside North America. No longer will I have to connect my VPN to servers in Miami to read new Komi as quickly as possible. Weh heh heh (satisfied laugh)

They also uploaded a few chapters to Mangadex. I don't know what's going on there or if it will continue.

Ok good so I'm not the only one getting the Nelly/Ruth vibes right??? We are deeply starved for old women yuri u_u I get the sense that it's a slow-but-not-too-slow-cause-they're-old-slow-burn over a year or so. Nelly getting Ruth to lighten up ever so slightly and R E L A X vs Ruth not thinking she could love again even a decade or so on from the passing of her wife.

The sort of relationship that goes over business expenses and tax papers together and that's when Ruth finally snaps and asks Nelly if she's gonna drag her feet all damn night or is she going to ask her out for a drink damn it!!!!

Most of my time at night is spent looking for obscure yuri titles and it's honestly a really enjoyable pastime. Most of the time the titles are unfinished/dropped by the scanlation group, or the manga was axed before they could really build a story, there's also the rare case of the author just straight up disappearing.

Also surprised by the amount of times I've run into watersports in the mangas I pick up. Not a complaint but definitely an observation

I tend to do my yuri reading in large impromptu spurts whenever either the mood strikes me or there's a really dry anime season devoid of yuri. Was originally planning on cracking open my reserves (the massive backlog I have on MAL) back when I was thinking this was going to be a dry season, but then it turned out we were in another bountiful yuri season.

I try to avoid series where it's pretty clear the scanlation group dropped it but it's still an ongoing and it's probably not going to get picked up by another. I can't endure that pain...

God I've come across so many axed yuri that were done in far too soon. Just off the top of my head I can think of: Hello, Melancholic!, Dear NORMAN and Futari Escape as being series that were killed off before they had time to truly shine.

The chances of bees getting overturned is very low if Viz keep Kerry and Barbara onboard which they seem to have. Voice actors are the least costly so it's likely the others will be rehired too, especially if they haven't gotten much work after RT went under.

lmao but viz has a ton of actually skilled talent in their back pocket who i'm sure would looooove to work on rwby... Yuri and Tara already work under them. (Mercury and Kali/ they're Sasuke and Temari in the Naruto english dub respectively, which was also dubbed by Viz.)

RT primarily hired funi voice actors before, and those are two separate companies. i'm sure there'll be some recasts.

If you tell her something you don't want anyone else in the universe to know, she'd keep the secret to her grave (or reincarnation? in her case. she's already dead)

Not really! Well actually no, he can cook enough to get by if he was left alone but he hasn't needed to worry about it for centuries so he'd be a bit rusty. The only time he ever cooks (bakes) is when Xena comes back to the station after a Round. He makes her the cookies they had when they were kids :3

He's kind of living it right now! He's the lab director and head researcher of the experiment he and Xena are in. He started the project from the ground up, funded it initially, and spends most of his days monitoring Xena's actions and directing research flow. Lots of e-paperwork...

43. What do they think is their worst quality? What is their actual worst quality?

Ok so both Xena and Yuri are older than dirt and are continuing to get much, much older as their little pocket of the universe continues the Destiny project. How that ties into this question is. Yuri has basically accepted and smoothed out his shortcomings (even what he excels at), because of the sheer amount of time he's spent alive. If you asked him what his worst quality is he wouldn't be able to answer, because he thinks all his quirks, good or bad, are basically the same. Perhaps the one that inconveniences him the most is his cold and unwelcoming personality, but you'll never hear him admitting it.

What is actually his worst quality? The way that he overreacts when he does feel something and does have someone he cares for at stake. He's too quick to panic and go too far when attempting to bring things back into his control, and doesn't stop to think if his actions will bring more harm than it would good. He's a control freak and can't calm down unless things are going in a way he oversee.

Kotetsu picks out the movies. Yuri meticulously makes the hot cocoa for all of them and they have to wait to be able to start because it takes him a while.

Kotetsu. They usually end with the first Hundred Power fueled throw from Barnaby, who is very upset with his hair being messed up.

Both Kotetsu and Barnaby are known to drag each other and Yuri under the mistletoe... Usually not in public with Yuri, as he doesn't like PDA much.

Kotetsu does most of it, but the other two help out when they have the time to. Sometimes their ideas of how to decorate... clash, though.

who hangs up the ornaments on the tree

They all work together on this, upon Kotetsu's insistence. They take turns putting the star on the top of the tree.

Barnaby! Yuri helps sometimes but Kotetsu is NOT allowed in the kitchen. All he will make is fried rice, they are not having fried rice on Christmas.

22) tbh im pretty basic in what i like, so i dont think a lot of things i like in canon get ignored . Dungeon Meshi.....aka the anime with a very yuri coded scene being blasted all over the internet? .....of course I'd watch it. 8U Give this himejoshi a good yuri or shojo-esque scene and there's a good chance I'll be all over it! <(˘ ˘ ˘)>

We just finished Hell's Paradise (those last few eps may have caused me to start shipping Sagiri and Yuzuhira pretty hard u_u alksfjdl) And we ended up starting....Mashle, only watched the first ep but it looks promising!

That's in the fantasy genre too I think (tho it seems more like a comedy)? I wanted to watch it cause I was interested in the char designs (kept seeing them with Tamashii figures).

Some quick info: Kiko is a military android created to help fight rebellions against the supercomputer dictatress (called the Matriarch). She takes her job very seriously, but eventually is turned to the rebellion's side by the main character Maira (yes I made this ref before the literal main character's ref. I have priorities u_u)
