Even before the other man had asked to see the special items in the back, Copper had sensed he was a witch. It wasn't all the time, and sometimes he was wrong, but this was something Copper had gotten right more often than not, especially as his powers had grown. That was where his powers were strongest, his precognitive abilities, his divination, the way he could sense things so acutely, so he was not at all surprised when the customer asked about the goods in the back; Copper had even smirked when he had been proven right. Sometimes his sense of a witch was weak, where he was just vaguely picking up on their power, but this time it was strong, and he felt like he knew this witch was powerful. "Are you looking for anything in particular?" Copper asked as they walked into the backroom. "And is this your first time back here? I just bought the place, so I'm still learning who my regulars are." He offered a smile to the other man, but something was tugging at the edges of his psyche, some charge prickling his finger tips, like there was something else in the room with them. Copper didn't know what to make of that, and while it didn't necessarily make him feel uncomfortable, he was thrown off his game.

Trying to regain his footing, he smiled at the man and introduced himself, saying, "I'm Copper." He looked around his collection of items around the large room, and Copper couldn't help but feel proud. Sure, he couldn't really take credit for what The Twilight Cauldron was - it had existed long before Copper had even arrived in Cardinal Hill, long before he had even known he was a witch. But he was responsible for it now, and Copper was devoted to the shop now. "Are you looking for something in particular?" Copper asked, refocusing on the customer and trying to ignore that sense of something knocking on the doors of his mind.

Scarlet was surprised with how much she liked the small town, it was so different to what she was used to, it was quiet, well, there was something weird going on but other than that it was quiet, but most importantly there was no press here, no one seemed to be aware of who she was and what had happened, she could be normal.

She was however annoyed that she was forced to attend school despite being close to turning 19 but it did mean she could make some friends...she wasn't making friends. It wasn't that she didn't want to befriend the small town kids, it was more that they didn't seem interested in the weird girl who clearly didn't belong. Her father had bought her a home to live in and hired what was effectively a live in nanny despite her age, to take care of the home so she could focus on school and socialising.

Scarlet's fire red hair was tied back in a braid, she was dressed in a short black skirt, ripped fishnets, Doc's, Motorhead shirt and leather jacket as she wandered out to the bleachers. She had her guitar with her as she'd wandered out into the woods to find that bench she'd found a few weeks earlier, but there was a boy there. She sighed as she decided to go over, "hey, you skipping too?"

To say that the whole trip had been a shit-show was an understatement. He still didn’t know how in the world Zack and him had managed to get away but they certainly hadn’t gotten by without some scars to show for it. His face sure as hell stung and the bruises and cuts everywhere sure as hell did him no favors. But all of those he wasn’t too worried about. His shoulder, on the other hand? Yeah, that one he was worried about. The bullet had gone in and come right out the other side and while he still had feeling down his arm, trying to raise it above his head was next to impossible without shooting pain down his side.

Now David had been shot before. This was definitely not the first time, although after the infection spread, he sure as hell thought he would never get shot again. That turned out to be a lie. And now, because of this stupid ass bullet wound, Zack was taking little Mag to the Council and explain what happened to them so he could run to the clinic and get checked out. David had been pretty adamant that he be there to explain as well but he also knew that Renee would be kicking his hide in if he didn’t go get the wound at least cleaned and bandaged (the doc was scary, even to him) so he begrudgingly brought himself to the clinic. He could always talk to them later.

David pushed the door open with his good arm. His movements were slow, sluggish and definitely stiff as he stepped inside. Val was there and he nodded his chin up at her in a silent greeting. “Got a second?” he asked, taking a few more steps inside, “just need a bandage and maybe some painkillers and I’ll be outta your hair before you know it.” Well, probably not, but he wanted to get back to his cabin and rest with sweet Roxy. This was the one time he was glad that he had left his girl behind instead of bringing her out on the hunt.

Alright so we all know this event but In my little fantasy world it wasn't all sunshine well litterly. It was dark and the economy was in shambles a lot of panic attacks and fear I imagine myself wondering if this would be our new life a new way of living especially when penguins were risking their freedom for a chance of living again. Cadence being while not as important to Herbert as the EPF was still something Herbert wanted his paws on so Cadence and I had to basically stay as hidden as possible during these times because the more Mascots Herbert got his hands on the more power he'd get. One hc I have for this time is Cadence holding my flippers and looking me in the eyes and going "if I get frozen please don't cry I'll be okay I'll be here for you even if I'm gone" ...I should honestly write a short one shot about this moment ngl

Holiday party: ah yes the holiday party idk which one pacifically I wanna talk about because all of them are really similar ngl but all Having there differences I helped cadence with her holiday hit cool in the cold while struggling to skate as good as her I know we had a time where the skate rink was just to ourselves and after the caous of operation blackout it was nice to finnally feel safe with her by my side. If we are talking about the 2012 holiday party i know we would have small races with the rc cars! Oh oh also during this time cadence and I would always get gifts for each other one gift I'd probably get her is a stuffed purple puffle that plays music she likes!

Music jam: July was Cadence's busiest month as it was her time to really shine that being the music jam I'd follow along with her when I could mostly as backup but it was a lot of moving around a lot of everything tbh she allways made sure I wasn't that overwhelmed and let me go on my own of Course when I wanted to. Usually to go explore and such. I know she'd teach me how to do the dance moves and by the end it'd turn into a whole mess of laughter

if you have someone techy you trust, you can also put ad block on your router directly. It blocks the majority of ads on most sites and all apps.

If you have an android device, you can use a VPN that accomplishes the same things, but I'm even less knowledgeable about the "how", just that you can.

Hi, sorry to bother you, but we spoke a few months ago about Tumblr Support’s response to seizure and eyestrain inducing ads. And while it is good to report that they’ve added a feature to report those ads, I wanted to ask for some advice

I’ve messaged staff no less than ten times about this feature not working. The same ads show up on my dash, over and over again, no matter how many times I report them. I’m up to date with my software, and still I’m put in danger by being on this site, and I can only use mobile as I do not have a desktop

Should I just quit tumblr at this point? Staff really don’t seem to care. I tried my best to give them my patience, but this has been disappointing for months now, and none of it is getting solved regardless of how much people message them. Is there anything we can actually do about it? Nobody outside our sphere is taking notice

Some of this unfortunately just has to do with the way that ads are served. Reporting the ad will get that instance of an ad removed after a certain number of reports, but depending on how that ad is served, you might be seeing the same flashing visual ten times and the ad system considers it a different ad each time (think of it like ads on a bus - you are reporting the ad on bus 249, but not the ad on bus 250 even though they are showing you the same image; sometimes the flashing image will be one campaign - so all on bus 249 - and it won't get served to you again, sometimes the flashing image will be scattered in a dozen different campaigns with different names and metadata perhaps with the explicit purpose of getting past user reports because advertising is a garbage industry full of horrible shitheads). Unfortunately I'm not sure there is anything that can be done beyond reporting the individual ads in terms of getting them removed; online advertising is generally minimally supervised by humans, which is how you end up with things like starvation-bait diet ads getting blasted all over the site with a terrible history of pro-ana networks.

Since you're using tumblr exclusively on mobile, it seems like your two other options are:

Turn off autoplay which should (in theory) stop any video (including ads) from playing in the app unless you allow it. Here's how to do that on iOS and Android.

Use the app exclusively from your mobile browser with an adblock enabled (won't work for iOS, changes the user experience pretty drastically).

There's one possible other option that I am not *recommending* I am simply stating that it is an option to explore: you could look into an adblocker like AdLock that does global video blocking on a mobile OS. The reason I'm not recommending it is that these kinds of adblockers cost money and are not known for being very reliable. It is something to investigate more if you are out of all other options

It seems likely that you've already turned off the autoplay, so that's probably not useful advice. If you haven't tried using tumblr in a mobile browser with ads blocked, that might be worth giving a shot before you give up on the app as a whole.

It's a really shitty situation and I'm sorry you're dealing with it.

The reassuring squeeze was certainly appreciated, and when Karlach spoke of Aurelia doing the same for Karlach, she couldn't help but smile, reaching and covering one of her hands with her own, giving the hand a little squeeze of her own. "Of course I would. Without a doubt I would," without hesitation too. She adored Karlach, and certainly wished that she could do for the barbarian as much as she had done for her.

"Why are you up so early usually?" she questions, not one to be deterred from her line of thinking so easily. She couldn't help but take notice of the words that were spoken.

It felt as if she hadn't lost the ability to touch. It just felt so natural, to hug someone close when they needed it the most. This was as much for Karlach as it was for Aurelia at this point. To feel another's arms around her war-torn body once more...as if holding the pieces together with more than just grit and determination.

As Aurelia stepped back, Karlach held her forearms and gave them a reassuring squeeze. "Course. You'd do the same for me, I'm sure." Though, despite her usual brash, unabashed behaviour, Karlach kept that part of her night very quiet. She was one to take other's burdens, not place her own on them.

"Eh, I'm normally up ridiculously early anyway," Karlach shrugged, taking a look up. "Though, I can't really tell if it's the middle of the day, or middle of the night in this fucking place. Besides, maybe this gives us a chance to know each other even better, eh? Brush up on your Infernal and stuff, not often we get time to ourselves in this camp."
