The shipping in the show has some AMAZING potential, but can we talk about Nikos and Edwin's BOMB FRIENDSHIP?? I LOVE THEM SO MUCH THEY HAVE SUCH A GREAT DYNAMIC. Two people with autism bonding and helping eachother emotionally. I LOVE THAT!!

YinWar Easter Eggs?

I think there are some hidden YinWar gems in Jack & Joker. I am probably crazy, but I've watched an unreasonable amount of YinWar content (which I am NOT ashamed of!), so just like those whales and polar bears showing up in Peaceful Property for TayNew and sunflowers showing up in JoongDunk's series, I think YinWar fans are getting little treats like when Joke mentioned the ice cream truck in episode four, I thought of their Laneige Weekend ice cream episode.

And in episode five, Joke revealed he can't drive.

Which seems very familiar!

War can drive, but he usually doesn't. Yin is normally the driver.

War actually didn't have a car until recently.

(I think it's a BMW, but it might be Yin's BMW because 1) Yin does not keep the same car long and 2) the car War is driving now was so fresh in the videos when War used it, it still had the plastic on the seat belts)

But Yin is the expert driver here.

And even for the Jack & Joker worship ceremony, Prom rode his motorbike, Yin showed up in his Tesla, and War arrived as a passenger on a scooter.

When War does drive, he seems to get nervous.

Yin had to talk War through driving this vehicle on a countryside adventure because War kept questioning everything (much like Joke does with Hoy) and Yin even reminded War about shifting gears. The caption on War says "Very Tense" because he was.

Like the man struggles!

People do not feel safe in the vehicle with him.

But in the past year, he has driven more.

And Yin has let him drive his Tesla, which is where the earlier images with War questioning what the buttons meant came from.

But, yeah, War is better as a passenger.

This is the hidden gem of this season imo XD it remind me of in/spectre but the way they execute the episode to have rakugo way of telling the story is very interesting it make the episode fly by so fast!!! Also the opening is so good…

it took me a rewatch of the 2 part time police special to realize IT FUCKIN LOOPS???? THE 2ND PART ENDS WITH A BRIEF ZOOM OUT TO THE VERY FIRST FEW FRAMES OF THE FIRST PART OF THE TIME POLICE SPECIAL???? LIKE. TIME POLICE LOOPS ITSELF??? BECAUSE OF THE RIP IN THE TIME CONTINUM THAT THE WARDEN CAUSES????? WHAT????

one of the funniest things i have re-remembered is that apparently if the warden isn't there a lot of things happen:

superjail becomes this odd society where birds crossbreed with humans (that little fucking bird [that is usually a side character with this one man] started it all. what the fuck. who decided "yeah great idea to restart this society i will fuck this bird and let it get pregnant and give birth" like it's so fascinating but horrifying). and this entire society is this warden-worshipping utopia where they treat warden and his crew like god and angels. it was so weird.

gotta love several jokes in time police too like cmon. "don't touch yourself!" my mind went there and i laughed.

also that stupid time police jingle is such a vibe like "hey. WAIT! you cannot escape! NEVER RUN AWAY FROM THE TIME POLICE, YOU WILL NOT SURVIIVE!!!!"

love the time police geenrally bc those dudes are ROCKING OUTTTTT they sing with their words!!!

gotta say the visuals in this episode were truly inspired to be drugs bc of how color and how wonky they are. the timejail is so cool in concept. it's filled with nightmares and weird ass creatures. it's a forever jail for people about to commit crime but haven't done it yet.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012

It has been so, so long since I've watched this show. I grew up with it as a kid; I remember being traumatized by the rat king. As a kid, I don't think I watched all five seasons, but I did watch a good deal of it with my siblings. Well, my youngest sibling started watching it for the first time, and eventually my other sister and I decided, well, why not?

We very quickly became invested. It brought a sense of nostalgia. Not only that, but we could appreciate the characters more than we did before. We could relate to a specific one. For me, it's Leo. Even better... I have three younger siblings. It's almost strange how my siblings and I "match" the personalities of each turtle, and in proper oldest to youngest order, too. Obviously, the personalities aren't a complete match. Additionally, the genders are different. I have one brother and two sisters.

Still, Leo has many "oldest traits" that I could feel on a personal level. I can't even count the amount of times my sister and I pointed at the screen and laughed "that's so you!" or one of our other siblings.

The sibling banter is absolutely top notch. It's savage (as it should be) and creative. My siblings and I are very close, so we know what proper sibling banter should look like. Despite the banter, I really appreciate the show including a loving bond between the turtles. They would do anything for each other. When their sibling is badly hurt, their cries are so raw it physically hurts to hear. They lash out or protect.

The plot, while occasionally cliche and predictable, is interesting and action-packed. The turtles don't win every battle, of course, and they suffer through so much. The finale for each season is gut-wrenching every single time.

We're not going to talk about the romance. *gags*

Oh, I have my opinion on the romance, too.

There's just something about 2000s or 2010s shows (animated shows included) that really capture your attention.

This is a kid's show, but the producers didn't shy away from gritty, traumatizing details.

Honestly, if you're super bored and like action-packed shows, even if they're animated, you should seriously check it out.
