honestly, two characters I see getting along SWIMMINGLY. they can and do hold hours-long, deep, philosophical debates about all kinds of issues, current and past, of the galaxy.

yes, Nim is like 14, yes Jaster is more than double her age. Yes, they are Academic Peers TM and Jaster will not accept any slight against his pseudo-granddaughter's intellect.

I hc Nim as a very prim and proper young Jedi, who only wants one thing: to get a good grade in Jedi-ing (Rael would give her that anyways, no matter what she does). At least as prim and proper as a magic space teen can be.

so at first she is intimidated by Jaster (THE MAND'ALOR) but then he starts nerding out about some obscure second-hand mistranslation of the jedi code that sparked some weird cult on a mandalorian moon and the nerd in her blood is stronger than her fear.

Rael finds them five hours later in some half-secret alcove in the archives.
