I am a big enjoyer of gay Jimmy in general and I've read a fic today where Jimmy is essentially in like, the ex-gay movement and also under a cupid spell (unrelated) which I assume is implying the usual Angel breeding program stuff but for a moment I imagined a fucked up church that has ex-gay support groups and is like matching people together via a cupid under their control, something similar to what the healer in faith had going on.
Just a little something to contemplate. Does add spice to Amelia's post-Jimmy breakdown perhaps. Also an evil backstory for Claire to find out if you want to make her life worse, somehow.

#happy endings... well... yes and no. depends on what act you look at#act one? no! actually things get So Much Worse in an entirely festive new way!#act two? eh! sorta! its more bittersweet than anything#act three and four blend into each other so much that three doesn't have an 'ending'#but the final act - act four... well. who's to say! im still workshopping what i want to happen#but i do know it's still gonna have at Least a bittersweet tinge to it#wh lights out au#rambles from the bog#there are consequences and not everyone Makes It. i dont like stories where everything wraps up perfectly fine#even if it hurts! i like it when things hurt in a good way. those stories where the ending is overall positive#but Enough Happened that its just... its an ache. looking at where someone used to be. you know?#my favorite shows and books and fics have ended with me smiling while sobbing bc it yes it Hurts but it was So Fucking Good#and while i wouldnt be able to handle rewatching/rereading due to Emotional Damage...#i think of them fondly and often and theyre Important to me#perfectly happy endings just rub me wrong. it always feels like there's something Missing despite it all being idyllic#i cant let my own stories - original or aus or whatever - have that kind of end#so if thats what people are hoping for! you've come to the wrong person and the wrong au!#i like to be kind but that rarely extends to my creative works!#i like it messy and painful and bittersweet and i like to be Ruthless with my creations with no compromise#sometimes characters need to fight. or leave. or die. or make serious mistakes. etc.#but anyway! anyway....#i will say that there isn't a happy ending for Everyone. and for others it's... complicated. again - bittersweet

spoilers for the latest dungeon meshi ep but oh my GODDD i love marcille my pobrecita.. i think ryoko kui wrote sexism's effects on marcille really well, i think it's neat how she's a silly little guy and other people kind of underestimate her and it seems she is often down on herself about her failures or, "burdening" others in a way that feels very authentic to how it feels to be a woman and have that extra pressure of perfection to dispell suspicions of your inferiority. it's just very much the feeling i gather from it which makes marcille so relatable. and then to put another layer on it when it came out that she did black magic, she's literally A Bad Ass she is LITERALLY a Badass which makes her doubt of herself even more starkly inappropriate, and in this new episode despite the Fact that she is A Bad Ass when everyone's being a BIG MEANIE to her she's like a sad puppy when people don't let her help with revivals and like idk if i missed something but she doesn't even push back against them saying they're going to turn her in in like, a threatening way, she is just... scared. which hurt me i just wanted everyone stop being so MEAN TO HERRR my POBRECITAAAA. MY TINY LITTLE BABYY
i also laughed a lot and freaked out catching up on the two latest episodes today. DEVASTATING miscalculation on chilchuck's part to protect senshi when laois has No sense of Social cue. really happy to see laois and kabru meet, they're really funny together and i see why people like them so much as a ship now!! i am ECSTATIC that shuro is out of the game in terms of ehem. courting falin. bro COULDN'T HACK IT gEDDEM marcille. get that red dragon lady.. and omg it made me SOOOO MAD that they tried to blame marcille for that like how could that even b her fault!!! >:((( its obv the mad mage's doing. i dont get it they r just big meanies!!! stop shitting on my girl!!!

Guys why is rain world so good (<- rewatched some scenes and teared up on all of them)
#rat rambles#rain posting#god man. holy shit. fuckkkkkk#rain world may not be one of my token big interests but god does it just hit me so fucking hard whenever I do engage with it#I also think after rewatching some stuff that my general takes on how rain world's world works have shifted a smidge#which is also giving me some more ideas for saint hcs#I feel like the biggest thing Im seeing differently now is the concept that the saint has no beginning or end#one big theme of rain world is the way that all cycles eventually come to an end#societies iterators and even the lives of the animals that wander about#theyre trapped but within these cycles they still move forward and eventually fade just like everything else#but the saint doesnt. they never can. in that way they are a paradox#for when even time itself eventually fades what becomes of the being who will never be allowed to slow in their decent?#overlapping onto themself infinitely until what is and isn't them becomes irrelevant#have they lived many times or were they ever even alive to begin with?#at the end of the day they will never know. its a peace they wont ever find#as they are simply a lil guy who is stuck in a real mind boggling situation#anyways thanks pebbles dialogue for helping me get a better grasp on saint stuff have fun being dead buddy#it also makes me feel even worse for the echos because theyre likely in similar positions#not the exact same given Im sure none of them had the powers to fly and ascend ppl but still#in my minds eye tho theyre more themselves than saint is#for better or for worse#the rest of the echos are stationary. unable to move forwards or back#while the saint continues to spiral onwards and onwards in ways that break the very core of this universe#or smth like that idk. Im just rambling abt nonsense at this point lol#but yeah I imagine the sain to be both trapped and stretched across time#most things exists whinin cycles of cycles but the saint takes that concept to the extreme#most things much more so develop and change as time moves forward but the saint kind of just is#but like. is a lot. like there's a lot of them. but that them is stretched like super thin#they overlap themself and keep stretching to infinity#and with that sort of overlap it makes sense that in what conscious state they do have they simply experience each overlap eternally

there’s actual good fights you could point out where Dean does put his foot down and it’s completely justified, even if only from his point of view. why would you bring up the amy thing instead of literally anything else.

Once again, the way S02A adds new plots and new characters and they all struggle to contend for screentime in each episode, is palpable.
#I don't go episode by episode in S02A so far because I barely have anything new to say#same opinions same issues since the 2021 rewatch#they just get more solid and more noticeable#they obviously try to shift the focus since more serious stuff has happened and will happen#so there should be bigger comedy between bigger stakes right?#nope it's often not done well#and the Isabella arc between it all just...#the funniest thing in the arc is that they seem to actually pretend everything is sooo serious with her *even* when it comes to the#“this could cause literal war” angle but then the characters just... don't care and this isn't a commentary for anything it all just gets#thrown outta the window for some more drama and when it's time for the arc to end#and the Bali Bey and Armin shlock also comes in and it gets even *worse* in each rewatch how is this possible?#and the show just can't balance all these plots sadly it's such a mess#the thing is that the heavy stuff with Hürrem Ibrahim Hatice Nigar Süleiman is sooo interesting and sooo compelling actually#it always fascinates me but it's piled in with all the rest and it makes the eps in general seem like filler even when they very much ain't#the *nadier* of said filler feel is honestly Bali Bey's pathetic feud with signor Gritti I was so glad to have erased from my memory#why oh why?#you could've just... not gone with Eleniki that one night Bali why should Gritti appease you exactly???#Isabella also being there as a noble woman to challenge Hürrem's status becomes even more obvious now since her first scene comes in#right after Hürrem tells Mihrimah that she as a princess will do what her mother couldn't due to her hurt of the scandal with Hatice in E26#but once again *it would've worked more* if it were utilized for more than pretty much... two scenes#and if we didn't have a stronger setup with Hafsa and Hatice (and even Mahi's charity) throughout all of the half-season and later on too#(Hatice and Isabella and Mihrimah's ties as royal princesses cropping up in these episodes are interesting tho)#okay I will stop complaining about S02A already and will keep on going with the rewatch focusing on what I like instead#magnificent century#muhteşem yüzyıl#muhtesem yuzyil

i think it wouldv been very funny if gx actually went the shitty sequel route and had that one dark duelist in the beginning of season 1 actually somehow has the millenium puzzle instead of it being a fake. and then they never mention it again for the rest of the series. and dsod 10+ years later had to make it canonically possible for this random two episode bad guy to get the puzzle later
