My love for Loustat is still pretty much the same, but it frustrates me that I had to filter the tag because so many people reduce Louis to the ship and I crave content of him alone or his dynamics with Claudia, Armand, Daniel etc too. I still love it when I decide to see Loustat edits and I ship them just as much, but now I always feel suspicious if the people making/liking/reblogging that stuff love him as an individual or just Loustat. I hate that now I always have this question in my head. 😔 Same goes to Armandiel as a pairing and them alone, btw. I had to filter their tags too. The only difference is that it's too early into that to know how much I ship them, but I barely see posts about them individually and I always wonder if people like them just as a duo or separated characters as well. Sigh.

we're watching spectre now - like casino royale and skyfall, i've seen this before and liked it! up until a couple of weeks ago these three were the only bond films i'd ever seen so imagine my surprise to learn that the preceding bond movies are so Deeply Unserious, and austin powers was not really making too much up. craig's bond era is like a gritty reboot that's almost embarrassed to acknowledge its roots. i say almost because there's a few winks & nods - like the animosity between bond and q during the requisite Introduction Of Plot Specific Doohickeys, the car in skyfall, this movie's title, etc. - but by & large they want to be taken so so seriously. spectre seems to be the lightest (?) of the craig bond's, which has me thinking more about this.

anyways incidentally (so far) two of my top five bond movies are from craig's era so it's not like i think this rejection is a bad thing. i just think the stark contrast between these and the previous movies is interesting!

unrelated: i have loved how every single one of these movies is a perfect snapshot of the time it was made with the costuming, the tech, the humor ("humor" in some cases). that's been fun!

one more bond after this and then we're gonna marathon austin powers this weekend, which i think i'll appreciate more now :)

Want to hear an embarrassing story that has suddenly popped into my head to drive me mad today?

So I was working in this office where about 8 of us shared this little mini fridge for our lunches. That morning, I grabbed what I thought was last night’s leftovers, which I had packed away in these cute little Halloween themed containers that we got in the regular chain grocery store in October. (note, this story takes place in about February). I put it in the fridge, and then go back at lunch time and heat it up.

I get back to my office and open the container and it… is not last night’s leftovers. I’m not entirely certain what is in this container, but I do know that I didn’t cook it anytime recently. So, thoroughly disgusted and promising to clean out my refrigerator at home later, I toss it in the trash and go buy lunch.

A few weeks later, I’m sitting in the little break room where the fridge is, and someone pulls out this little Halloween themed container out of the fridge, and says “This has been in here for a long time. I’m just going to toss it.” I immediately recognize the container and realize it’s my leftovers that I did, in fact, bring a few weeks back. It turns out that I was not the only person in the office who uses Halloween themed containers in February.

So, that’s the story of the time I accidentally stole and threw away someone else’s lunch.
