okay since my post about the mcyt gay sex phenomenon has apparently made mcytblr ripples can I talk about limited life cleo for a second. can i talk about how the "mom" bit, even if it's just jokey and for fun, is fucking misogynistic. oh yeah how funny, treating the only femme-leaning person in your group as the parental figure who's supposed to take care of you and coddle you. oh wow that definitely doesn't echo misogynistic tropes at all. even if cleo ultimately relented to it (after at first opposing to it, a choice which was not respected to by bdubs, scar, or the fandom) and made something out of it themselves, does the whole way that the bit started not feel uncomfortable for any of you guys. does the way that cleo is still expected to take care of bdubs and scar despite the fact that bdubs and scar have likely sabotaged their chance of succeeding in the series not feel uncomfortable to you. does what cleo says about not being able to betray the guys else they'd be villified not make feel uncomfortable for you. i love the clockers as much as any of you but I also think that the misogyny is apparent and we should talk about it more
