my safe haven tmr headcanons 🫶 (also random ones)

All of these are sweet, will make angst ones tho 🤭 Newtmas included ofc

- Thomas blushes super easily

- Brenda loves heavy metal

- newt writes to cope, just about his day and whatnot. (This is sorta canon in crank palace but i think he would continue to write if he lived)

- when Thomas & Minho get drunk together they get up to the most INSANE activities it’s not even funny

- If newt & Brenda are drunk at the same time they bet who is going to get injured first ����

- minho LOVES Halloween. Absolutely LOVES IT. His costumes are phenomenal every year

- newt is SO GOOD with kids, the kids in the safe haven gravitate towards him and they all love him 100% (uncle newt?!?)

- Thomas on the other hand is like so bad with kids, has absolutely no idea how to talk to them 😔 the kids 100% ask him 2863382 times a day “are you uncle newts boyfriend?! :O” and he has no clue how to respond

- Minho teaches the kids curse words on accident 💀 he would like fall over or something and go “OW FUCK” and they would copy him, newt has scolded him so many times for this

- speaking of Minho and cursing, HE CURSES ALL THE TIME. THE MOUTH ON THAT MAN. It somehow gets worse when he’s drunk

- R.I.P Brenda you would’ve loved thick and crazy eyeliner

- Sonya made matching bracelets for aris and Harriet, aris accepted immediately 😭 Harriet sorta raised a brow but accepted as well but she NEVER takes it off. EVER. Aris on the other hand has lost it so many times, and freaks out every time he does

- Sonya will braid anyone and everyone’s hair. She knows so many hair styles it’s actually ridiculous 💀 she doesn’t remember learning them though. :[ (when she and newt were taken she would brush & braid the other girl’s hair like her mum taught her)

- aris slowly comes out of his shell in the safe haven, and every time he does something “bold” Sonya and Harriet silently cheer for him

- Newt and Sonya got REALLY close in the safe haven, they clicked like instantly and helped each other heal :) “she’s like a sister to me!!” “He’s like a brother to me!!” Is used OFTEN. (Little do they know.. ☹️)

- When Newt is extra pissy his accent is way heavier, and Thomas already being into his accent as is when newts mad at him.. I’ll just give you an example:

Newt *oblivious*: THOMAS WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!?! YOUR SO DULL SOMETIMES I SWEAR-

Thomas *face hotter then the sun, sweat dripping down his face*: Uhm-

Minho & Gally *with popcorn*: *watching the whole thing go down while holding back tears of laughter*

- newt never practically had a favourite flower, he thought they were all equally beautiful until one day Thomas came home with a sunflower, gave it to him and said “oh this reminded me of you” let’s just say after that day sunflowers were his favourite.

- frypan immediately knew when Thomas and newt first started dating, when he realised he went up to Thomas, patted him on the back and said “so you finally got together huh? Good job man” and walked off leaving Thomas SHOCKED

- if Teresa never betrayed everyone Newt and her would’ve been BFFS. “I remember when you liked Thomas I was so mad” “I was mad at you too!!” “REALLY?!” *whilst making flower crowns*

- Newt loves to read and this is common knowledge, Brenda also loves to read & wears reading glasses and one day newt caught her and she was like “if you tell a soul I’ll kill you. Wanna read together?”

- Newt = ambivert + Thomas = ambivert

- Newt LOVES tea and Minho gives him so much shit for it 😭

- Minho would be the type of guy to carry around a speaker and blast white girl music

- karaoke night once a week or two, Brenda and Minho sing barbie girl ATLEAST ONCE every time

- Thomas is still incredibly smart, like really smart but there is never really opportunity’s to show it ☹️ but like Newt will lead him a 600 page book or something thinking he won’t finish it and like 2 days later Thomas is like “I finished it! Yeah it was really good I really liked-“ goes on a full in depth analysis

- Newt is autistic 🙏🙏 (if yall want a whole headcanon list just for this I will do it because I’m autistic myself and would love to do that lol)

I think that most of these titles I've mentioned before or are ongoing. And I'm working on some asks I got about the last WIP. 👀 So slow.

Snippet One:

Patrick was taking his sweet time getting off the ground and Teresa was beginning to yell at Marcus, telling him that she’d have his badge for harming her Patrick.  Marcus Pike had enough. He requested to not have them in this case, asked to be reassigned, and has kept interactions to a minimum. He didn’t ask Patrick to chase a suspect. He’s a consultant. He’s not supposed to be doing it anyway!

What happened to Patrick? Why is does Teresa think Marcus has harmed him? What has Marcus had enough of? Is the above gif him laughing before things hit the fan? Who knows? (I mean I do, but I gotta bring a little drama. 🤭 Tee hee.)

Snippet Two:

Pero set Calista down at the mouth of the cave, sitting down next to her. She was enchantingly beautiful, now that she wasn’t berating him or stomping on him. He wondered if it was the strain of everything that had her collapse like that with blood. He needed to inquire about the few things he had noticed about himself. The enhanced vision, the slight chill he feels through his body, why her body felt like nothing in his arms and so much more. Some he’s not quite able to put words to yet. Until she wakes, he’s content with the fact that he hasn’t sloughed off his mortal coil yet. He wonders what’s become of William and his horse before hearing the cracking of a branch and a large step. Much too large for a human or animal. It could be a monster, demon or worst case - the white dragon. Turns out Pero was right on one count, it was a dragon, but silver. Its scales reflected the sun and overloaded his eyes, he had to close them. When he opened them, a woman stood before him with skin that was reminiscent of mahogany. Glitters of silver dotted her skin and her hair was silver with streaks of mint green, similar to Calista. Is this dragon related to her? Pero had a hand on his sword just in case. 

I'm working on a Pero Tovar, enemies to lovers fantasy story with dragons. Just because. 😌 Again Tee tee.

if newt had survived, he would have DEFINITELY bonded with brenda over their shared trauma of nearly turning into cranks. lemme elaborate.

so i have this hc to cope with newt and teresa's death wherein a couple of days after reaching the safe haven the teens sneak back to the last city for some reason where they find the bodies of newt and teresa. obviously it's heartbreaking for them, but they quickly realise that by some miracle both of them barely survived. so they took the two of them back to the haven and after long treatments they finally regained their consciousness and stuff.

now newt comes back almost perfectly fine and normal thanks to thomas nd the cure - but due to him getting slowly infected over the long period of time in tst and tdc, he didn't fully become... human, if that makes sense. he still has violent episodes and tendencies to act kinda rogue, almost as it he's still under the control of the flare. and this is something brenda relates to. although not in as severe condition as newt, she still sometimes gets violent tendencies about which only jorge knows.

so she notices newt showing visible signs of stress and uneasiness just like she did after getting cured, and talks to him about it. to divert his attention from the ingrowing panic she uses the method we use to cope with anxiety attacks (three things u can see and touch rn). it starts actually working for him by some goddang miracle (i trust too much in miracles lmfao 😭🙏) but he sometimes cannot control it, causing the majority of people to stay away from him.

but not brenda. she helps him slowly subdue the murderous tendencies and wild behaviours which come free with the crank package. AND THIS IS HOW THEY BOND AAAAA LMAOO.

u have brenda healing newt for something she didn't do, and he repays it by helping her cope with her episodes and nightmares about her brother. that's literally how they end up crushing for each other which is visible to the whole wide world but not them. OH AND ALSO i have this hc where newt regained all his memories back after he got healed, meaning he remembered his baby sister sonya/lizzy. and sonya/lizzy is definitely the greatest newtenda shipper in existence (maybe alongside minho who ships newt with everyone lmfao)

BUT u also have jorge in overprotective dad mode whenever he sees newt being a lil too close to brenda hehe 🤭

Last Saturday was a (moderate) success. Many (mostly kids, to my surprise) were interested in both learning Russian and Chess and yes, I had to stand on my feet from 10-19 (10 am - 7pm) and I'm still sore... but it was worth it.

Next to the whiteboard is Teresa, my Russian teacher. The one in glasses is Dina, the theatre director. Then Pablo, one of the two Chess teachers we have and the last one is me 🤭

Second photo: Mom made that frame that I painted and decorated for people to take pictures with it (only 2 did it) the one holding it is Алёна AKA Elena, for us, another Russian teacher that now has moved from our city to the Patagonia so she is helping a club down there.

On the 3rd photo, in plaid and glasses is our second Chess teacher, Alejandro.

My aunt Irene (that no longer participates in the club due to differences with the people in there + the Russian-Ukraine conflict) painted those plates. The two big ones are in Petrikyvka, an ucranian style, and the small ones (the wind didn't helped in photos) are painted in Zhostovo and St. Petersburg style. There was also a small box she painted in Zhostovo.

I completely forgot to mention Galina Wolos, she is the older lady in the second to last photo (with a white crocheted hat). She was the first Russian teacher we ever had at the club back in 1951 and she even taught my grandmother how to read and write in Russian (grandma could speak it but that was all). Galina is practically deaf and needs new glasses... but still goes to help to the club at her +90 years old!

Teresa Lisbon - 2, 4, 7 , 12, 13 Ditto for Patrick Jane please!

2. Favorite canon thing about this character? Lisbon: That she wears Jane's wedding ring on her necklace (and fully understands its significance/makes peace with him not taking it off/apologizes about it, etc.) and is so protective of him from the start. AND her lil dancing. Jane: That gift-giving is so clearly his love language because it's mine too 🥰 And the moments of life we see in him despite the tragedy, like building his sandcastle and making a daisy chain. Also, literally any time there's a kid.

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in? Lisbon: Okay this might be silly but I kind of want to see her in Miss Congeniality because of the whole angry little princess thing 🤭 Jane: Brooklyn Nine-Nine, particularly for the Halloween Heist. I would loooove to see him with Peralta lmao

7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like? Lisbon: This probably goes for all the characters, but the fandom thinks so deeply about her character and really digs in to the complexity and I love it. Jane: I love that everyone treats his story with respect and is so thoughtful about the nuance of his character! I also never ever imagined I'd call any man babygirl but this is the first fandom where I really 100% get it hehe

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character? Lisbon: I think she read at least one of Jane's letters every day and had her favorite ones memorized. I also think she put his teacup back together during those two years and just waited to surprise him with it when she felt the time was right. And that she would make his cup of tea for him when she was especially sad/missing him. I also love that she couldn’t answer when Jane called because it meant she had a voicemail from him, and I think she listened to it over and over. Jane: I think he buys or makes gifts for Angela and Charlotte on their birthdays and keeps them somewhere special (since we know he doesn't visit their graves to mark the anniversary). I also think he collected memories to share with Lisbon with the hope that he'd get to tell her and brought her some sort of gift, like a seashell.

13. What's an emoji, an emoticon and/or any symbol that reminds you of this character or you think the character would use a lot? Lisbon: 🫦 because of her lip biting! Jane: 👀 reminds me of Jane because he really embodies that emoji lol (also 🐸) and this 😌 reminds me of both of them (especially with a flower tucked behind their ear)

It's basically a maze runner story so you know how maze runner has three different movies and this is in the time of the last one "the death cure" or sum like that.

You know how like Newt died and all the other shit happened so like they escaped with a helicopter and how they beraly managed to get Teresa on the helli🚁 anyways.

I only remember this part of the story but in the story Teresa didn't get on the helli and she fell down (she didn't die,I don't know how either💀) and they were sad but flew away and some time passed but like not a lot cause SHE FELL OFF A GODDAMN BUILDING TFFF anyways the person that finds Teresa manages to stitch her up and shut like that so they're like "lets find some shelter🤭" cause you know they are homeless💀.

Now as they're walking down the street they see Newt,Teresa obviously recognizes him and she like let me check if he's still alive you know and they discover that he is.Hes alive bcs of the blade ,if you watched the movie you would know that it stabbed Thomas first and Thomas' blood is essentially the cure ig.

Now they patch up Newt cause you know my guy got stabbed🔪 So now he's the Newt he was before ig anyways the three of them continued their journey and the found A WHOLE-ASS-TRUCK😨

Newt and Teresa get the medical help from the other bitch there so they're fine now😪.....

Chapter 22 - Climbing Sky Peak

This post is going to begin a little a lot more differently than usual. Going in, I knew the Sky Peak arc was going to be a nightmare of text boxes. So I did a little experimenting and took a video of its introduction in Rotom's Cafe - click here to watch that before moving onward.

...But why didn't some flying Pokémon just bypass the ruined mountain pass? Sure, it's inaccessible to everyone else, but unless the entire peak was scorched earth, there's... really no reason for it to have become shrouded in mystery. 🤷‍♀️

Uh, I think that if you lead us on an arduous trek of one of the highest mountains on the continent only for us to arrive at the peak and go "haha just kidding, the treasure was the friendships we made along the way ^-^" I will actually kill you. FYI.

Ah and... Team Frontier... Oh man, where do I even begin?

Now, Jolteon is pretty fitting! I can especially see him with Breloom's style of speaking. He also ended up being a great asset in battles, so no complaints here.

So, let's address the Copperajah in the room. You must be wondering what the heck Deoxys is doing here. But clearly, he's the leader, right?

Wrong.

Don't ask how she took the throne. It's said she once razed an entire village with her fangs alone.

No, Deoxys is... a giggly space queen? Which might even be funnier than the phrase "Onix Village" 🤭

...Yeah, best of luck with that one, bud.

Because Onix is a very large Pokémon, I couldn't have anyone else on the team :( So it was just the three of us on this long, dreary trek.

The first section of Sky Peak Cloudy Well was dubbed "Significant Port." (I apparently didn't snap any pictures of the dungeon itself... whoops.)

But similar to this, the first floor was dead silent. No music. And it was snowing. Classic Mt. Silver creepypasta vibes.

Here's a fresh look at Teresa and Andrea's status, alongside Onix. Note the <100 HP despite being 11 levels higher than Andrea.

Onix wasn't bad, per se. She had Swords Dance, Megahorn, and Rock Blast, which is a heck of a combination tbh. That being said... this first dungeon was probably the hardest of them all in retrospect. At least half of that was due to Onix being super fragile, frequently getting OHKO'd by Aqua Jet of all things. (Yeah, Onix is 4x weak to water, but it's not like Aqua Jet is a very strong move.)

The other side of the difficulty coin was Furret and Blastoise both countering half the damage you dealt and, of course, Monster Houses galore. It got bad enough that I threw a Detect Band on Teresa, which did actually help me survive a future Monster House.

Has real big "WW1 Battlefield on Christmas Day" vibes. Lol, I'm sure this won't be an ominous sign of things to come, right?

(Spoiler: It Was.)

If you recall, there are ten station passes and clearings. Because of this, I'm throwing Sky Peak dungeon names into their own post, instead of stuffing them all in the guide. However, the guide itself will include a link to this "sub-guide." As we traverse each station pass, I'll highlight their titles in bold.

Speaking of, the Second Station Pass was known as Sandy Bay...

(Did you mean: Normandy Beach?! Okay yes technically a different war, but listen-)

And we got ambushed by Andrea's brothers and sisters 😭We BARELY made it out of this one, with Andrea hanging on by a thread. So I was ecstatic to pick up a Foe-Hold Orb... only to immediately lose it by spawning into a "mandatory" MH (i.e., in the same room as the stairs).

I keept toying with the "Elain likes Cass, Cass will date Mor, Mor was with Az, Az will date Elain," creating that scenario from part 1 and 2, and the rest will come to me (i hope) 'cause improv is the soul of the bussiness 😅🤣🤡 There's a brazilian poem called Quadrilha by Drummond that gives you this chasing after love feeling. It goes like:

João loved Teresa who loved Raimundo who loved Maria who loved Joaquim who loved Lili who loved no one.

Quadrilha is a dance, (i think is your equivalent of square dancing), where you keep changing partners during the song, so TMK fits right in! 🤭🤭🤭

Started this Peacock Tapestry 15 years ago, of course life interrupted and motivation waned multiple times, but I'm so proud it's now finished.  I learned so much from this, my largest more complicated project to date. 

With this piece, I had some "happy little accidents" with pear tree leaves, which added a few extra here and there, and with a misorder of peacock colored braid instead of blending filament for the tail 🤭.  It's also wild how many missing stitches show up when you start putting in the gold cord and beads!😮

I made a few intentional personalizations. One being the change of wing colors. Since the eye tends to look at the wing first, I decided to incorporate more blue as I love the blue shades the best.

Now on to the next pattern in my stash...likely a few small ornaments before I tackle another large project.
