I'm unsure if you've already answered this, but which one is your favorite Detective Conan case? 🤔 Both with and without our favorite magician? I know you like to make lists, so maybe your fave 3-3 each? 💗
I have successfully avoided this question so far! Very rude of you to try and make me narrow it down ;-; It's so hard!!
Detective Conan episode 219 is a very good cheat-code. A two for one. Getting to see the actual proper first meeting between Kaitou KID and Kudou Shinichi, as well as getting the Hakuba Saguru case where Kaito calls Sagu and Shin 'two lovers you never want to meet'.
Even after the rewatch, I still think that the two big classics will remain two of my favorites - Miraculous Midair Walk (DC 356, MK 16) and Kaitou KID's Teleportation Magic (DC 515, MK 21).
Both vastly improved by the fact that we get them in Detective Conan episodes from Conan's POV and as Magic Kaito episodes from Kaito's POV. I love this duality of seeing both their perspectives on the cases, on top of how fun they are.
I like all Kaitou KID episodes, but those three have to be my favorites.
Without KID is harder, because I more or less stopped watching all non-KID heists maaany years ago... xD"
So those would be limited to episodes featuring Saguru, Sera and Amuro - since I got caught up on wtf is Sera and Amuro's deal after they started popping up in KID cases.
On the non-KID cases, my favorite has to be the Detective Koushien - DC episode 479. Because it puts our three detective boys together and I love the interactions between Saguru and Conan.
I liked The Wizard of the Ripples, episodes 881 and 882, because kiddo!Shinichi is adorable and the final first meeting between Sera and Shinichi, also kiddo!Sera is also very adorable.
Aaand it might also be The Crimson School Trip, episodes 927 and 928, because SHINICHI and Sera team up!!! Shinichi being a cute dork. Like, it's hella weird and doesn't make much sense, but it was fun.
