more leon headcanons
i miss him i miss him i miss him i miss him i miss him i miss him
i miss my wife, tails.
so lets talk about him.
⟢ leon was 6 years old when his family was murdered. there was a time when he could remember all of their faces. yet as he gets older, their faces have become a lot more blurry. sometimes he catches himself staring into the mirror. did nonno have the same nose as he did? was he the same blonde as his nonna? does he have his moms' smile? were his dad's eyes just as blue as his? when they looked at him, did they see themselves in him as he's so desperatley trying to remember them in him?
⟢ leon is the italian version of a "no sabo" kid. he knows the language, yet doesn't seem to be able to put the words together himself. he just kinda stands there nodding his head with a blank stare. then when he has to respond he's just kinda like "uuuhhhh tbh idk". he knows how to correctly pronounce some words and phrases, but that's about it.
⟡HOWEVER, he will call his lover with italian terms of endearment, i.e., amore mio, cucciolotta, cuore mio, piccola, etc. he might even say some phrases that he does know in italian, i.e., Io e te per sempre (you and me forever), sei la mia vita (you are my life), ti amo tanto (i love you so much), etc.
+p.s. sorry for any misinterpretations, i'm not italian but i am mexican so spanish and italian are not too different (???) but please correct me if i'm wrong!
⟢ leon has always been a dinosuar guy. he's watched probably every dino documentary thats ever been made and rewatches them whenever they're on. so, naturally, whenever he travels for work, he'll try his best to visit every museum he possibly can to see their dino exhibit and nothing else. of course, as het gets older (probably DI to RE6) he'll explore the other exhibits but for rn he'll just stick to the dino exhibits. and if you must ask him what his favorite dinosuar is, he'll say the answer he said as a kid, a spinosaurus. it's common enough for people to know and not give him a strange look of confusion. but really, his heart belongs to the pachycephalosaurus.
⟡ of course, in its natural progression, leon will also delve into a fascination of raptors and reptiles. he'll go to zoos and spend his time in the reptile exhibit. he'll also go bird watching for any avian raptors he can find. this also does mean that he has nice pair binoculars and will buy a native bird identify guide when he travels. his documentary options have now expanded with his two new interests which really excites him.
⟢ whether you believe it or not, leon is actually more of a fruity cocktail kinda guy. he doesn't mind beer or hard liquor, especially when he needs something strong and to the point. something to help him drink away the bad memories and all too realistic nightmares. but if he's just in the mood to enjoy himself, leon will cook up a salty dog or a cranberry vodka.
⟢ leon oh so terribly wants kids. but before he forces you into his life, he never thought that to be possible. so in his off time, he would volunteer for the NICU at the local hospital to be a baby cuddler. he got into it after he tried it with rebecca. it gave him the sense that everything will be okay, that even if he can't have a few of his own, at least he can be there for little ones that need someone, even if its for a moment.
⟡ TRUST, that once you do have a baby with this man, he's all over them. that baby will never not be in his arms or in the proximity of him. he's on spit up and diaper duty. baby wakes up late at night crying? no worries, he's already in the room (he was sleeping on the nursery floor). you will almost have to battle this man to hold YOUR baby.
⟢ leon is actually a really big fan of romcoms and time pieces. in fact, his favorite time piece movie is pride and prejudice. oh he absolutely adores romantic pieces like that especially because he's a hopeless romantic at heart. he's fallen in love with the idea of falling in love with a girl he's just met and having soft intimate moments with them. his guilty pleasure romcom is 13 going on 30, especially since after the whole plagas incident, the movie was just released and he binged that movie on repeat.
⟡ BUT, just because he likes time pieces and romcoms doesn't mean he doesn't like action or thriller movies. leon's a really big fan of the matrix series and star wars series. also the fast and furious franchise is actually where his love of fast cars and motorcycles stem from. he just can't do any horror movies because baby has trauma :(
₊˚⊹ ᥫ᭡. 𓂃
it's not much, but i thought these were silly and gave him a little more character. please let me know what you think or if you have any headcanons of your own!!!

“Oh, kiss me, beneath the milky twilight. Lead me out on the moonlit floor, lift your open hand - Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance, silver moon's sparkling. So, kiss me.”
You hum along with the song playing quietly in your ear as you scrub the bathtub. It is one of your cleaning nights and you are focused on getting everything back to tip-top shape. The tub currently has a bit of a purple tint to it after you tried a new brand of bubble bath for Minnie - you are lucky she isn’t now grape flavored as well - and you would very much like it gone. It is coming off easier than you expected, but it is taking a fair amount of elbow grease.
It is easy to space out and listen to music as you work. Your cleaning playlist are songs you can vibe to that you don’t really associate with anything in your life - mostly you think about the movies the song has been featured in - but you are finding, as you scrub and romantic lyrics float through your head, a certain name and face keeps appearing in your mind’s eye.
You know it isn’t wise for you to develop a crush on Matt - just because you have a daughter together does not mean he wants to kiss you. You know you need to squash the feelings down before you get yourself hurt.
But sometimes it is nice to have silly impossible daydreams while you are cleaning alone at ten at night. Having a goofy little smile while you picture yourself spinning around a garden in a dance isn’t hurting anyone. You have a good grasp on reality - you just sometimes want to pretend to be the lead in a cheesy 90’s teen romcom - is that too much to ask?
No one else needs to know Matt has replaced the lead actor. It is a secret just for you.
As you scrub bleach powder around your purple-haze tub drain, you catch movement reflecting in the shine of the spout. You can’t hear anything over your music - even though you only have one earbud in - so you sit up and turn around. Of course, it is Minnie standing in the doorway, clad in her jammies, and dragging Scooby by his big paw.
You pull the earbud out, frowning to your daughter, “Is everything alright, Mouse? Is my music too loud? Did it wake you up?”
She shakes her head, then in the most miserable voice you have ever heard from her, whines, “My tummy hurts.”
Instantly, you set down your sponge and your earbud so you can go to your daughter, “your tummy hurts?”
You move to pick her up, wanting to comfort her, but it is made clear she doesn’t want this by stepping back and holding up her toy between the two of you. It hurts, but it passes, as you know you don’t like to be touched when you feel sick, so instead, you kneel down to be in front of her and try to find the root of the problem.
“How does your tummy hurt?”
She sways side to side, face scrunching up as she self-analyzes. You can see the little wheels turning in her head, but then there is a very subtle shift in her eyes that only years of being a mother makes you notice. With lightning speed, you grab Minnie under her arms and spin around to hold her over the toilet just as her dinner begins to regurgitate.
Your heart breaks as she empties her stomach and you try to soothe her the best you can, rubbing her little back as she coughs and hacks.
“It’s okay, it’s okay, get it all out. Get all the icky out,” you tell her.
Luckily, her stomach is small and there is not a lot of expel. Once you are sure she is done, you flush the toilet then close the lid, intent on setting Minnie down so you can clean her up, but of course, now she doesn’t want to be put down. She wiggles and turns until she can bury her head into your neck, sniffling and hiccupping, and clinging to you the best she can.
You can feel bits of vomit on your neck, but since you aren’t completely covered in it, you try to ignore it in favor of your distressed daughter. You begin to rock her gently, humming one of her favorite lullabies as she processes how distressing throwing up is.
You don’t remember when the last time she got sick was, but you have a guess as to what caused this upset - you tried a new ice cream for dessert tonight. It had made your stomach a bit gurgly and you had solved that with a TUMS.
It hadn’t occurred to you to ask if Minnie needed one, too.
A lesson for the future.
Minnie doesn’t dissolve into full on tears and after about two minutes, she pulls back and croaks out, “‘cooby?”
She had dropped the toy when you had first picked her up, so you stretch to grab him for her. She quickly switches to clinging to him and you go right for a washcloth. You wipe down your neck first - you can only handle so much - then start on cleaning up your poor Mouse.
In a blessing from the gods, she only has a little bit of gunk around her mouth and nose. It doesn’t seem like anything got on her clothes.
Getting her to rinse her mouth out takes a bit of convincing.
“It will help the icky taste go away,” you promise, but she just clamps her mouth shut and shakes her head. You very much get why she wouldn’t want anything in her mouth after throwing up, but you also know she needs a good rinse. She only gives in after you demonstrate what you want of her by brushing your teeth and gargling some water. However, the condition is that you have to brush her teeth for her while she squeezes Scooby for dear life.
Once her mouth is clean and the only sign she was ever sick is her puffy red eyes, you scoop up your baby and bring her out to the living room.
“How does your tummy feel now?” you ask as you set her on the couch and begin to cocoon her in the throw blanket you keep there.
Minnie rests her head on top of Scooby’s, lip jutting out into a pout, “Icky. And Hurty.”
“Icky and hurty?” You sympathize. You know well the aftermath of throwing up and how sometimes the aftermath is worse than the event - your stomach often turns sour and you feel drained. You know certain fluids will help relieve this, so you kiss Mouse’s forehead and tell her, “Let me see if we have any things to help.”
“Blue Pedi-lyte?” she asks and you can’t help but smile over how observant and smart your little one is. She may not have thrown up in recent memory - but other digestive problems have occurred, and she clearly remembers enough that the drink helped.
“Yeah. Let me go see if we have any, okay? Do you want to put on some Mickey?”
“Goofy,” is her quick, but mumbled reply.
You turn on the television and bring up some Goofy related shorts, then head to the kitchen, hoping you have some old Pedialyte.
But you don’t.
You have leftover drinks Karen brought you and the only thing that is comparable to what you promised Minnie is yellow Gatorade. However, you have nothing to turn it blue. You have the feeling that trying to give it to your little one is not going to go well, but you try, nonetheless. You fill a sippy cup halfway with yellow liquid and mentally cross yourself as you bring it to Mouse on the couch.
She takes one look at it before pouting at you, “That’s yellow.”
“I know, sweetie. But we don’t have any blue Pedialyte. We only have yellow Gatorade. It will help your tummy, too.”
To her credit, she takes it and holds it in her lap, looking down at it with disdain. She opens and closes her mouth a few times, then wrinkles up her nose and holds the cup back up to you, “It’s stinky.”
You try to not sigh - lemon-lime is an intense flavor and probably won’t taste the best after vomiting, but it is all you have. You crouch down so you are eye level with your daughter and rub her leg, trying to be encouraging, “I know, but it will help your tummy. Can you try for me?”
She looks between you and the cup about fifteen times, her little eyes full of doubt, before bringing it up to her mouth and taking a sip. She does not swallow - instead she looks disgusted before opening her mouth and letting the drink spill down her chin.
“Oh, no, no, let’s not do that,” you groan. You use your t-shirt - which is luckily your cleaning shirt and gross anyways - to wipe her face and soak up the yellow liquid.
“Icky,” Mouse informs you, then adds, “I want blue Pedi-lyte. Please?”
You take in your daughter, looking so tiny wrapped up on the couch. How awful it must be to not only be nauseous, but to be so with enhanced senses. You’ve thrown up enough times to know what an unpleasant aftertaste it leaves, so she must be so miserable.
You rub your hands over your face and give in, “Okay, let Mommy go change into real people clothes, and we will go get some for you.”
----
You are no stranger to midnight runs to the bodega two blocks west. You had moved into your current apartment when you were about six months pregnant, and you had spent month seven waddling your way there almost every night for a slice of cake. The late-night cashier, Sal, practically watched Minnie grow up and he is one of the few people who she will talk to unprompted. So, you don’t feel embarrassed when you stroll in wearing sweatpants and a band-tank top, with Minnie still in her jammies - Sal has seen you in worse states and at least you aren’t wearing a robe and slippers.
There’s a couple of college aged boys lingering around the snacks section who smell heavily of marijuana, and they seem more interested in talking about what chips to get than anything, so only your hyper paranoid mind makes you take notice as you make your way to the drink coolers. You pass all the fun things and go to the very back corner of the storefront where the small selection of medicinal goods are.
Tampons, Tylenol, and band aids are stacked low on the dry goods shelf, and across from them, practically on the floor of the cooler, is one row of Pedialyte. The gods must be smiling on you because it is indeed the blue flavor your daughter is desiring.
You open the cooler, and with Minnie on your hip, squat down to retrieve your prize. Almost instantly, she starts making grabby hands for it, asking with a bit of a whine, “Mommy, open it.”
“We have to pay for it first, then you can drink it,” you remind her, feeling guilty as you do. You can see the upset in her eyes, and to try and mitigate the damage, you offer, “Do you want to help buy it?”
Mouse, always the eager helper, nods against you, so you hand over the drink, stand, and start making your way to the counter. The stoned boys are debating which chips will leave the least amount of residue on their gaming controllers as you pass them and part of you wants to stop and listen. You don’t have an interest in video games beyond silly ones on your phone, but their passion is intense, and you agree Cheeto dust is one of the worst things in the world. You are lucky Minnie finds them gross and much prefers pretzels as her chip of choice.
As you come up to the checkout, Sal looks up from his phone and gives you a pleasant smile, “Late night snack run?”
Minnie pipes up before you can, leaning forward as far as she can to hold out the bottle towards him, “I wanna buy this, please, thank you.”
Sal, ever kind, reaches across the counter to get it so you don’t have to try to lean in, “Ahhh, no snacks. Tummy troubles?”
“Tummy troubles,” you confirm. You dig into your purse for your wallet as he begins to ring you up.
Sal clicks his tongue in sympathy, before telling you, “My daughter, Sasha, the tall one, she always had the tummy troubles, too. Turns out, she was allergic to corn. Do you know how much corn is in everything in America?”
You make a face at that because you do, in fact, know how much corn is in everything. “I’m sorry to hear that.”
In your arms, always wanting to mimic you, Minnie gives a solemn nod to Sal, “Sorry to hear.”
Sal laughs warmly, “You are kind. I hope your tummy troubles are not from corn, but too many sweets.”
That makes Mouse giggle, which warms your heart. When you are told the total, you hand her your card to hand over to Sal. The sweet man swipes it, then addresses Minnie, “Debit or credit?”
Despite not knowing what that means, she instantly replies with, “Credit!” making you smile all the more.
“Yes, we will charge it,” he says. The receipt prints and he hands that and the card back to you before bagging the Pedialyte in a little black baggie and handing that to Minnie. “Your purchase, little ma’am.”
“Thank you!” she chimes, and you thank Sal as well. The college boys have finally decided on their snack, so you vacate the counter so they can make their purchase, wishing the cashier a good rest of his night.
As you exit the bodega, Minnie bonks your arm with the bagged bottle, “Mommy, open it now. We buyed it.”
“Okay, okay.”
You set her down on the ground, then get the bottle out so you can crack it open. You help your little one take a few careful sips and once she is done, she smacks her lips.
“Not icky?” You ask and she gives a big nod in response.
“Not icky.”
“How is your tummy?”
Her fist goes right into her mouth as she thinks over the question. You use the time to recap the drink and drop it back into the bag, then put that into your purse.
“It feels like jumping dinosaurs,” Mouse finally tells you, “Going ‘bah bah bah’. Like sheepies.”
You have no idea what that is supposed to mean, but you guess that she feels better. She seems more chipper, which isn’t what you need closing in on midnight. If you don’t get home soon and get her back into bed, you are going to have a very grumpy toddler in the morning.
Which will go great with your expected grumpiness - you still have to finish cleaning the bathroom and who knows how long that is going to take. You’ll need to redo the toilet and throw a load of laundry into the wash. You’ll probably get to bed around two if you are lucky.
So, with the complete intention of tiring your daughter out, you ask her, “Do you want to walk back home holding Mommy’s hand?”
Which completely does the trick and Minnie takes your hand so you can walk back home together, and you begin heading that way.
Despite being the city that never sleeps, the streets around you are pretty empty. You haven’t come across any other foot traffic and you’ve only seen a few cars roll by, so to you, it seems like a quiet night.
You wonder if that is how Minnie sees it - or in her case - hears it.
It has been mind boggling learning her range of hearing and how much input she must constantly receive.
Matt is still working on making you his binder - Karen has apparently taken to copy editing it - but he has given you a preview of a few pages and you can barely comprehend it. You think you would go insane if you could hear everyone talking all at once, all the time. Your anxiety would be astronomical, but your sweet Mouse doesn’t seem bothered in day-to-day life.
You’ve been watching her play more and more and you’ve been learning what catches her attention and interests. To your surprise, it has been music. The little wiggles and shakes she sometimes does is apparently her interpretation of dancing and you have been making her a little playlist for her birthday. You think a dance party would be a fun thing to do the night before the zoo trip, to help get out all her energy. You haven’t told her this yet, but you did ask her to let you know when she hears a song she wants to dance to, so you can look into it.
You don’t want to add anything inappropriate after all.
You look down at your daughter as you walk, a little smile coming to your face. She’s watching her feet, and it looks like she’s trying to step on her own shadow without making a big deal of it. You’ve seen her do that before or try to walk one foot in front of the other. You aren’t the fastest walker - you tend to stroll - so you never worry about her games slowing you down.
Plus, if it wears her out, all the better for you.
You are about half a block away from your building when Minnie suddenly halts and whirls her head back towards the bodega. Curious, you stop as well, wondering what she has heard now.
“What is it, sweetie?”
“There’s a hoot-hoot!” She whisper-yells, looking up to you with the biggest, purest smile.
Your heart practically bursts from your chest with love and your smile grows to match hers, “A hoot-hoot? Can you tell me about the hoot-hoot?”
She nods, then you watch in slow motion as your daughter’s absolute joy morphs into that of horror and before you can even process what is happening, something is ripping you away from Minnie by the base of your neck.
You are pivoted left and slammed face first into the brownstone staircase you were just walking by. Your vision goes spotty as pain erupts from the center of your forehead - confusion and panic begin to consume you.
All you can hear is your daughter screaming in fear.
You have no idea what is going on, but all you know is Minnie needs you, and that ignites something deep and primal in your chest.
There is something grabbing and pulling at your top and your purse - which you wear crossbody - and you realize someone is trying to mug you. Fear fills you as you struggle to get away, break free, but whoever it is is stronger than you and keeps slamming you back against the stone.
“Mommy!”
The thing inside your chest bursts to life when you hear Minnie cry for you and you kick backwards best you can, trying to dislodge your attacker. Your foot catches their knee and both of you go tumbling to the ground. You hit the cement hard only to be crushed under the weight of your assailant as they land on top of you.
You refuse to stay still, squirming and trying to army crawl out from under the mugger, but they easily overpower you. Hands wrap around your throat from behind and you are temporarily overwhelmed by the stench of body odor and filth. You are pressed down into the sidewalk for a split second before being yanked back and you just barely manage to turn your face as you are violently forced back down again. Gravel and glass tear at your cheek.
Something tangles itself into your hair and your head is once again being pulled back, but you won’t give up. You reach back over your head and grab onto the arm of the person attacking you. You feel flesh, so you curl your fingers and dig your nails in the best you can.
There is a feral, pained yowl, then your head meets the ground again, but it doesn’t stop. They are trying to push you down into the sidewalk using all their weight, like they are trying to crush your skull.
You kick and buck as hard as you are able to, thrashing desperately in an attempt to break away. The pain is quickly becoming all encompassing, but Minnie is crying, and you need to get to her.
You try to get an arm under you, to try and help to push you up, but there is so much weight and all of it is centered on your upper back and skull.
You can’t get up.
You can’t get to Minnie.
You can’t save your daughter.
There is a deep and furious roar, then the crushing weight of your attacker is ripped off of you.
You gasp for breath as you quickly roll onto your side, terrified you're going to be pushed back into the dirt and smothered. Your vision is swimming, blurry and half black, and everything, everything hurts.
“DADDY!”
Your eyes snap open and you try to push yourself up onto shaky arms. You try to turn around to find your daughter, but your body doesn’t want to obey anymore, and you collapse back onto the ground. You force your legs to move the best you can, trying to roll until you can find your daughter.
“Minnie..” you try to call out but you aren’t sure if any noise escapes your lips.
“Mommy!”
The darkness wraps itself around you and begins to drag you down into its depths. The last thing your mind catches before it switches off is your little Mouse, screaming for you.
“MOMMY!”
“MOMMY!!”

'Have we let y/n y/ln get away with way too much?'
By Alan Gomez
Yes folks, it might be our own fault, we have created a monster in the form y/n y/ln. Mediocre actress at best and with an even worse personality, if the latest events are any indication.
But how could we let this happen? Come on, we're smarter than this!
The thing is, y/n brainwashed us into believing that her doe-eyed, no-brain characters were actually her. Don't beat yourselves up over this too much, even I was a victim of those pretty eyes. But now that the blindfold has fallen, we have come to realize we have let y/n get away with everything!
You might know y/n from Supercut, the romantic comedy that took the world by storm in 2019, where she starred alongside Aidan Kim and it lead to these two becoming one of the general public’s most cherished couples. At least until two months ago, when their breakup was announced via Inside Out. Although there haven’t been any official statements, given the circumstances, we believe it was the actress who broke it off with Kim.
RELATED:
→ Aidan Kim and friends at Cannes Film Festival
→ Y/N supports alleged boyfriend at charity football match
But whether she’s dating a new guy now or not, why do we keep letting her do whatever she wants?
How did she actually brainwash us into thinking she’s anything close to an “it girl”? After Supercut, all she’s done is the absolute bare minimum to keep people talking about her, it’s all RomComs and no effort. I didn’t want to be that person, and you have to believe me on this, but Aidan Kim made her.
Let’s remember Aidan built his career from the ground as a member of Star-5 the early 2010’s boyband that split in 2018. He was the ‘someone’ in the relationship. How can people even compare having the hit song “Round and Round” in your résumé to being in Scream (Netflix) and The Mist (again, Netflix)?
Aidan made us like her and the writers of Parisian Valentine, The Hating Game and Last Night In Love, did her a HUGE favor by consolidating her as the “Queen of RomComs” by what standard? Well, don’t ask me.
The truth is, we accepted y/n into our hearts and homes, thanks to Aidan Kim and an unbelievable amount of luck, and we haven’t held her accountable for anything ever.
Here’s what I’m talking about, if you’re still wondering what the point of this article is, click on every link to be taken to the whole context, you’ll thank me later:
❍Y/N yells at paparazzi to leave her alone as she walks around Beverly Hills with Victoria Presley.
❍ Y/N praises Taylor Swift while tearing down several male artists for writing songs about their personal experiences.
❍ Y/N says in interview with ELLE that not every movie has to be “profound”.
And just for fun:
❍ A collection of Y/N’s disastrous looks.
It’s time we realize y/n y/ln is talentless, has a horrible personality and feigns innocence she certainly doesn’t have. You will NOT continue to take advantage of us, y/n! It’s all over for you, so I’m glad you’re dropping your pathetic career to become a WAG. #Y/NIsOverParty.
↺ FROM ❛WE WATCH❜ PODCAST
Paul Byrnes: Can y/n really do another role now, after all she’s known for are romantic comedies?
Anna Sanchez: well, I really liked her in The Mist, she did great as character in a horror it was—
Paul Byrnes: No one cares about The Mist, Anna, just you.
Anna Sanchez: all I’m saying is she’s a good actress, she can do other things. That was your question, Paul.
Paul Byrnes: Well, in my opinion she can't and that's it.
↺ FROM ❛IT TALK❜ PODCAST
Greg Zane: Let's talk y/n y/ln and her fashion choices now that she's an F1 WAG. What do we think?
Riley Green: She's a what now? How long has it been since she broke up with Aidan Kim?
Martha Vincent: I think she's looking great, I just wish she'd let go of the ugly caps.
Riley Green: No seriously, how long did she stay single?
Greg Zane: I agree Martha, but caps are big in Formula 1, nothing we can do about that. I'm wondering if she'll go for a more glamorous look in Monaco.
Riley Green: guys? hello?
Martha Vincent: Oh Riley, we're not talking about her love life, let it go.
↺ FROM ❛HOLLYWOOD VIBES❜ PODCAST
Pauline Oscar: [cont.] I'm just so curious about the reason of their breakup, why hasn't anyone said anything?! It must be juicy.
Brenda Yim: I feel like it's bad for one of them, most likely y/n. Hello, can anyone offer one of their friends some money? Just like old times!
Pauline Oscar: [laughs] Definitely! We need to know! Can it get any worse than the fact that she's already with another guy? What's his name? Charles Le what? She soooo cheated.

May 27th, Montecarlo, Monaco.
THERE are tears in your eyes, and despite your best efforts not to let them run down your cheeks, it's futile. The worst part is that you're the one doing this to yourself. There's zero need to read 'articles' from pseudo journalists on how a man gave you your career and how you're tossing it into the trash for another. Not to mention the cascade of curses you received for a picture on instagram, where everyone thought you were with the other man.
Has your life really come to this? People don't talk about you unless a guy is involved? You loathe it. Your career was never about Aidan, and it's not about Charles now. Who only makes things worse every time he shows up and yet you can't manage to bring it up to him.
It's embarrassing. You don't want to walk up to him during whatever free time he has in a hectic weekend, and ask him if it really doesn't annoy him everything the press has made up about the two of you, or if he's really that unbothered by being paired up with you in the wildest scenarios, and tell him that he can shut them down whenever he feels like it (you wish he would already), and let him know you won't mind whatever he says about not being involved with you.
But no, Mr. Leclerc is busy giving unclear answers at interviews and liking your instagram posts, as if this isn't already a wildfire.
You put down your phone and pick it back up almost immediately, Vic's ringtone fills your hotel room and you wipe away your tears before answering her FaceTime request.
"Were you crying?" it's the first thing she says, moving her sunglasses to the top of her head. There's a lot of noise in the background and you can barely make the words out, but she comes so close to the phone that all you can see is the tip of her nose. "Why were you crying?"
"It's nothing, Vic. What's up?" you sigh, rubbing your eyes only makes things worse but you don't want to worry about that now.
"I just got to Monaco, babe," the phone is at a safe distance from her nostrils again and you can see around her, the airport where you landed a few days ago. "I'm with my parents," she rolls her eyes, lowering her voice. "But if you could get me into the Ferrari Suite I can hang out with you tomorrow!"
They allowed you one guest and the spot has already been taken by Mati, so there really isn't much you can do in terms of getting her into the Ferrari Suite. "Well, let me see what I can do, okay?"
"Okay," she sounds unsure, you know Vic enough to be sure she expected a different answer. "I mean my parents have Lounge privileges but it's more fun to be with you."
Had she said something about coming to Monaco you might have been able to do something, but as far as you were concerned she planned to stay in France all week, enjoying Cannes and mingling.
"I'll do my best Vic, but you know how they are," you exhale heavily, "Plus it's a crazy-ass weekend."
"Isn't it always?" she's yawning now, "We can meet for dinner later and you can tell me what's up alright? Being with my parents is so boring."
You shake your head, "Be nice, they just want to hang out with you. I'll call you after Quali," you check the clock on top of the nightstand, it's 10 am. You have to get ready for FP3, which you don't care about attending or not but Stuart Schaffer asked to see you, so you haven't got much of a choice.
"Sure babes, love you." Vic pulls her sunglasses down again and blows a kiss to the screen.
"Love you too," it's your turn to yawn as you tap the hang up button.
You look at the special edition Ferrari cap you received as a gift yesterday on top of your suitcase and immediately discard the idea of wearing it. No caps. And then the wave of disgust invades you, are you seriously going to do what some random man said on a podcast you came across by accident?
The answer is yes, unfortunately.
─────────
You would rip your leg off if you could, at least it would mean you’d be able to get out of this chair and away from Stuart. But his palm resting on top of your knee feels like a death grip and you’re frankly afraid to move in case it goes further up.
Mati decided to skip FP3 and you’re really hoping she’ll be on time for Quali because you have no one else to talk to, Stuart is just parading you around again and keeping you way too close for comfort because he’s in a great mood since both Ferraris maintained their top spots and things are looking hopeful for Qualifying.
You know it’s your chance to ask if you can bring Victoria around tomorrow, and you know the answer will be yes, but you don’t. You don’t want to ask things from this man, he’s the type to never forget a debt.
You barely catch a glimpse of Carlos and Charles as they walk by on the way to their debrief and Charles waves at you quickly, with a single-dimpled smile. He’s wearing the same cap you refused to put on.
“I’m going to call my friend,” you blurt out once Charles is out of sight, finally moving your leg back to make Stuart’s hand drop. “She had the worst hangover, I have to check up on her.”
“Oh, you girls get wild in Monaco,” Stuart cackles as you sprint away from him, actually resisting the urge to wipe your knee clean.
"Hey y/n!" Mati's voice can barely be heard above the EDM playing wherever she is. "What's up?"
"Where are you?" you whine, looking back inside the Suite. "Help."
"What's wrong?" you picture her frowning as she tries to walk away from the noise helplessly.
You feel guilty for worrying her so you sigh. "Nothing, I just hate being here. Are you coming here for Qualifying?"
"Yep," she pops the 'p' and laughs. "Listen, why don't we have lunch here at the yacht and then go back for Quali?"
"Yes!" once again you look over your shoulder to where the Elix men are laughing at their own jokes and patting each other's backs. “I’m on my way, okay?”
“I’ll be right here, also don’t scare me like that again, please.”
“Sorry,” you chuckle, embarrassed. Maybe you’re a bit dramatic at times, but it’s really all good-natured. “See you in a minute.”
You turn to the door of the Suite, giving a short jump back when you open it at the same time as someone else.
“Oh, god,” you sigh, stepping inside as Charles moves out of the way to let you in. “Thanks.”
“Sorry I scared you,” he smiles, closing the door again once you’re fully in. Charles is once again holding a closed Elix can, tapping his fingers on the side.
You eye it suspiciously, wondering if the thing has really grown on him. After all, one of the first things he told you was how much it disgusted him.
“It’s alright. I thought you were in your debrief?” You grab a can of Elix yourself, looking good in front of the sponsors cannot hurt.
“It was a short one. Keep doing what you’re doing kind of thing,”
“Right. Well, good for both of you,” you look around for Carlos but he’s nowhere to be seen. “Would it jinx it to say ‘good luck’ for later?”
You know many sportspeople take their jinxes and rituals way seriously, and you don’t want to be the one to blame if something goes wrong for the local star.
Charles considers this for a second and then shakes his head no. “Wish me luck,” he smiles.
“Good luck, Charles.” You beam back at him, enjoying—despite yourself—the way his eyes burn into yours.
─────────
You’re back at the Suite with Mati 10 minutes before Qualifying starts. The tension that had seeped out of your body in the form of laughter and loud singing with Mati is already making its way back to your back and jaw. You’re not ready to be around the Elix people again, but you must. However, first, you make Matilde promise she won’t leave your side.
Stuart Schaffer is already patting the empty seat next to him when you make your way through the refreshment tables. You smile at him, a muscle in your cheek falters as you walk past him on your way to the balcony, to catch both Ferraris leaving the garage.
“Oh don’t drink that,” you whisper when you see Mati walk your way, two cans of Gold Elix in her hands. “Don’t.”
Matilde snorts, “You’re literally the ambassador of this thing, and you don’t like it?”
“SHHH!”
“Fine, but those guys are looking at us so we have to at least sip it.”
You groan, opening the one she offers you and then taking a huge gulp. “Yum,” you mock.
Mati laughs again before her face goes sour with the taste. “Oh my God,”
“Warned you,” yet you take another sip. You think that if it grew on Charles it might grow on you, but you don’t really see it happening.
Q1 and Q2 go by smoothly, at least for Ferrari and you’re on the edge of your seat for Q3. This is the race you’ve been more excited for, but it’s not like you’ve attended many others. Still, Monaco just hits different.
The end of Q3 almost gives you a heart attack, although you also blame your almost empty Elix. You didn’t even notice how much you drank, but the thing that really gets your heart jumping out of your chest is Victoria’s ringtone.
Begrudgingly, you turn away from the track. She has texted you a thousand times, without exaggerating, since Quali started and you know it’s because she’s bored out of her mind at the Lounge with her parents. But you’re starting to find this genuinely entertaining and you are bothered by the distraction.
“I told you I’d call you after Quali, Vic,” you singsong, looking up at the screens inside the Suite.
“Well Quali is almost over, no one cares about the last three minutes.”
You do, Max Verstappen is in first place, then Charles and Checo in P3. You’re crossing your fingers for Charles to manage to get above both Red Bulls. And for Carlos to squeeze in there too.
You don’t say anything else, too enthralled by the battle on the screen.
“Y/n?” Vic raises her voice, “Are you listening to me?”
“Yes Vic, what is it?”
“We’re going to be at Ferrari together tomorrow, right?”
You wince, glad she chose a phone call instead of FaceTime this time around. You haven’t asked and you don’t intend to. Vic still has VIP Lounge access, she’ll be fine.
“They said no, Vic.” You lie, your eyes scanning the screen, it’s the last lap before they get the checkered flag out. “I’m sorry.”
“What? Why? Did you tell them I can give them publicity? I have one million followers!”
“Monaco is different from Miami,” you explain gently, “But you’ll still be at the VIP, you have a great view.”
“Yeah, whatever,” she’s beyond annoyed now, as it happens every time things don’t go her way. You can’t blame her, but you also think it will be good for her to spend some time with her parents, whom she refuses to visit although they live in Malibu and pay her mortgage. “We’re still up for dinner though, right?”
“Yep! I’ll meet you at your hotel.”
“Okay see you then, babes.”
By the time your eyes return to the screen, Charles is in P1, Carlos in P3 and the Ferrari Suite is exploding in cheers.
YOU’RE up painfully early the next day. Vic and you went back to your respective hotel way past three am and you’re exhausted, but at least you had enough self-control to avoid today’s hangover.
Nevertheless, the morning goes by in a blur between breakfast with Elix people, calls with Mildred and Walter, your manager, and two casting agents that tell you that no, you don’t need to go for an in-person casting, you’re not getting the role.
By the time you get to the Suite you have a headache and the knot on your throat is progressively getting harder to swallow. You only make things worse by rage-reading tweets with your #IsOver hashtag.
People claim, with more force every day, that Aidan gave you everything and you are starting to regret ever meeting him.
You have worked your ass off for years, taking on small roles, commercials, stock-photo deals. Learning scripts and going to castings and taking classes, you have been criticized and rejected for more things than just “not fitting the role”.
You have given everything you are and everything you have, and people assure what you got in return you owe it all to some man.
“Hola y/n!” Carlos is the first one to get back to the Suite and you wish he would rub off some of his good mood on you. “How are you today?”
“Hi Carlos, I’m alright and you?”
“You definitely look it,” he says, semi-sarcastically. “Something on your mind?”
The knot is back in your throat so you shake your head no. “And yours?”
“Nada de nada.” he smiles. You’re still growing on each other, but this is the most comfortable you’ve been while sharing the same space.
Charles arrives while Carlos, Mati (who is hungover from her party at the yachts) and you are comparing workout playlists. Wearing what now seems to be like his comfort cap, and a pair of ugly ripped jeans, he smiles brightly at the three of you.
You’re happy to see both Ferrari boys so smiley after the past couple races. Miami especially. And you hope they’ll do well; but you’re particularly scared for Charles, and whatever it is that made him unlucky in his hometown, you don’t want this day to end on a sour note.
You spend about an hour talking to them about anything, your movies, their races, Mati's tour with Romeo and Juliet. Music, hobbies and quirks, Charles and Carlos have an opinion on everything and they are actually quite fun to be around. Then, a Ferrari Team member comes to get them for the Drivers Parade so you wave them goodbye, wishing them a smooth race.
"You're not going to wish me luck, y/n?" Charles asks, the smirk on his face is one you identify as mischievous, and it makes a small wave of anxiety run down your back.
Mati stops the bottle of water halfway through her mouth to ogle at the two of you, and the palpable tension that has installed itself in the space.
"Good luck, Charles," the smile you return falters in one corner, but Charles doesn't seem to mind as he adjusts his cap and says thank you before leaving behind Carlos.
Mati has forgotten about her need to hydrate and is staring at you with both eyebrows raised. "I thought you were not doing that?" she gestures with her head towards the door through which both drivers vanished.
"I'm not doing anything," you reply, defensively. "He's being—"
"y/n, you could cut the tension there for a minute," Mati finally takes a swig of water and you wait for her to continue talking. "Like I said, I don't recommend it but... you're free to do whatever you want." she isn't unkind while wording that last part, but it still stings you with annoyance.
"Thanks, Mati." you bite the inside of your cheek, leaning back into the sofa.
─────────
The Ferrari Suite explodes in cheers once the checkered flag is out. After a frankly insane race with rain, crashes and too-long pit stops, both Ferraris have crossed the finish line, and most importantly Charles has finally managed to get rid of his Monaco curse. His enlarged picture appears on every screen with P1 right in the middle. Carlos is P4, but the points are extremely important in the long run, so people celebrate nevertheless.
Before you know it, Mati and you are being dragged down to the track for the podium celebrations. You're buzzing with excitement, holding Matilde's hand as you run to one side, where the mechanics can't crush you as they jump up and down.
Even above the general screams of happiness, you can hear talks of 'Charles deserves this so much', 'It was about time' and 'His hard work is finally paying off at home'.
At least someone's blood, sweat and tears are valued.
YOU are probably not living down the Charles dating allegations this weekend. Which is not your fault, honestly, had they enlarged the picture, it would have shown Mati just as excited for Ferrari as you were. She's Italian, and she bleeds for Ferrari.
But right now, surprisingly, you're not overwhelmed with whatever it is they're saying on Twitter. Although it took Mati snatching your phone away and tossing it in her own purse before sitting you down to retouch your makeup for the celebration party.
Victoria is joining you too, because a 'the more the merrier' applies to any sort of party happening in a Monaco club, especially if it is for the unofficial prince.
It is the first time in three months you let go of your worries, even if it is for the shortest amount of time as you dance with Victoria and Mati and drink anything you please and whoop every time the DJ mentions Charles and Carlos.
You're happy to be with your friends, away from Elix and celebrating two people who can become something more than coworkers to you. Although through the night you see them on a few occasions, Carlos waves at you as he passes by a few times only stopping in the third time to let you congratulate him with a quick hug that's more of a shoulder squeeze than anything.
Charles is obviously harder to approach, and to be fair, it's not like you're even trying. He's surrounded by his hometown friends and by anyone who wants to have his attention for a minute, for a picture or a dance or to buy him a drink.
It's past three am when Victoria is beyond buzzed and you're starting to feel exhausted so you decide it's time to leave. Mati has found someone to take home so she's been gone for around forty minutes, minding her business.
"Come on, let's go," you are grabbing Victoria by the wrist as her ankle twists. "We've both had enough," you laugh, Victoria joins your laughter as you snake through the crowd of people pumping fists in the air, some of them point and wave at you and you smile back at them politely.
You hear your name being passed around a few times, but you focus on finding the exit while keeping Victoria by your side, who has started to whine about not wanting to leave.
Once you break into the outside, you take a breath of fresh air, the coolness makes your skin rise in goosebumps and you shiver, letting go of Victoria to lift the hair on the back of your neck.
"It's too early!" Victoria complains once again, her eyes are glassy and she's just as sweaty.
"It's not, plus you're drunk, we should leave," your ears still feel drowned in the sound of music. “My feet are killing me.”
The exit opens again, and a couple stumbles out laughing and they tell Vic and you goodbye in drunken French. Before the door shuts again, Charles is out on the street too.
"I heard you were leaving," he says in what you're sure it's a too loud voice. But your ears have barely stopped ringing, so you can't blame him. "Are you two okay?" he eyes Victoria, who is starting to lean down on her knees to soothe her dizziness.
"Oh we're alright, we've just partied enough," you smile at him. Charles is rosy, bright-eyed and sweaty. Is it corny to describe someone as painfully handsome?
"I didn't get to congratulate you," you add, trying to keep your attention on Charles while being aware that Victoria might start retching at any given moment. "You did amazing."
Victoria straightens immediately, her glassy stare focusing on Charles. "You're such a good driver, Charles, for real."
"Thank you," Charles nods awkwardly a few times as Victoria pokes him with her left index finger. "And thank you y/n."
"Come on, Vic," you chuckle, keeping her hand away from Charles. "Seriously though, I'm happy for you."
Charles smiles again, running a hand through his hair. "Thank you, really. I'm sorry I didn't see you earlier," he points behind him, to the club.
"It's your party, you can't be everywhere,"
Vic is yawning loudly, and you roll your eyes, amused. "We better get going."
"y/n, when are you flying to Spain?" Charles blurts out, the moment you turn to lead Vic down the street.
"I'm not sure, Wednesday probably?"
"You know, I can still show you a place or two in Monaco. If you want." He sinks his left hand in the front pocket of his dark jeans, and you wonder where the mischievous aura from what seems like ages ago went.
You pause, letting Vic put her whole weight on your shoulder as she finally gives up to the exhaustion. "Um well..."
The same tension that appeared at the Ferrari Suite is back, and the more you hesitate, the thicker it becomes.
Victoria pulls you down with her as she throws her head back, yawning again. Charles is just in time to hold you back up, his other arm pulling Vic back to a standing position.
"Only if you want," he says, he is far too close now and you can smell the mix of alcohol and cologne on him.
And maybe it's the alcohol in your own system, and you'll regret this once you sober up and realize that you told Matilde several times this is exactly what you were not going to do, but you say yes.

RANDOM MOUTHWASHING HEADCANNONS
This is going to be a long post...I apologise in advance.
And english isn't my first language, I apologise for any mistakes! (´;ω;`)
Captain Curly (pre-crash)
Used to be a rebel as a teen, have bad grades, drink, all the stuff. Because of that, he gave himself piercings and some hand poked tattoos.
He still has some scars from said piercings and hides the badly done tattoos he did at the ripe age of 16.
Hates science fiction movies. He thinks that they are super unrealistic and will spend the entire time criticizing them.
Loves romcoms tho.
Secretly loves punk music, the only thing left from his rebellious phase.
Works out as much as he can. He's sad? Goes to the gym. He's happy? Gym. He's stressed? Gym.
When he goes to the Tulpar, he always brings some weights so he can lift before bed/after he wakes up.
Gives the best hugs. You can't tell me this man will not bear hug you until you feel better.
Wanted to be a psychologist before studying to be a pilot, yet he gave up because he was too much of a people pleaser.
His favorite animal is bears, grizzly ones to be exact.
Captain Curly (after crash)
Spends the days thinking on what he could've done to make things different.
After he gets rescued from the cryogenic pod, he can't help but feel survivors guilt. All his crew was dead, except for the captain that should've gone down with the ship first.
After he gets his prosthetics, it takes him a while to get used to them and feels some phantom pain on the stumps of his arms and legs once in a while.
He regularly writes to his fallen crew members as if they are still alive. It helps him cope.
He also stayed in touch with the families of his fallen crew. Curly always apologizes for their death.
Anya
Left her cat on earth and the last words she said to him was "When I come back, I'll buy you wet food", as she would always buy treats for her cat after every excursion.
Her favorite thing to do on earth was to read with her cat on her lap and some tea.
Is a only child but always had pets throught her childhood.
Is a bad loser, everytime she loses at the game nights on board of the Tulpar she goes on a raging fit. Doesn't really hide it.
The only time the crew have seen her mad is when she loses at games.
Used to do combat sports as a teenager. Seeing the wounds of the people she trained with made her want to pursue medicine.
Is a really good driver. Just road rages a bit.
Wears contacts.
Her last thought on the medical bay was about her cat and how much he would miss her.
Daisuke
Loves shooting and RPG games.
Fluent in English and Japanese. Speaks mostly in japanese at home with his parents.
Has a younger sister. He used to let her do makeup on him when they were both younger.
Used to be a popular kid but never really had a girlfriend.
HUGE fantasy nerd.
He's actually a very smart kid, used to be an honor student.
Tried to teach Swansea about Pokemon and Kingdom Hearts lore on their lunch breaks. Swansea tried to understand.
Helps Anya take care of Curly, even if he doesn't have any medical experience.
Tried smoking once, started wheezing and gave up immediatelly.
Ties his hair when he needs to be super focused.
His playlist goes from Tyler the Creator to Lady Gaga to Bach in a click. The playlist is called Whiplash.
Swansea
Dog person. He definitely loves big dogs.
Sees the entire crew almost like family and takes care of them like family.
Listens to dad rock/country while reading the newspaper to relax.
He has a picture of his kids next to his bed. Unfortunately, everything got destroyed in the crash.
Was the one who brought the tabletop games for the crew. He's a huge tabletop games fan.
Girldad. He definitely spoiled his kids as much as he could.
Huge sports fan. Specially soccer.
Jimbabwe (I'm sorry)
Smokes two packs of cigarettes a day. Rothmans to be more specific.
He has a narcissistic disorder.
When he was a kid he used to torment his siblings.
Met Curry when training to be a pilot and got extremely jealous and spiteful when Curry got promoted instead of him.
Hates when Daisuke calls him every name under the sun except his. (Ex. Jimbo, Ji-man, Jimin, Jin).
Had an obsession with American Psycho as a teenager.
He was an edgy teenager.
I have so many headcannons but if I put them all here, the post would be gigantic...

GROWING PAINS . . . # CHAPTER NINE !
synopsis you hated christmas. simple. this year was no different, the only thing changing was the scenery when you decide to let your older brother, yunho convince you to visit your grandmother who neither of you had met but hoped it would do some good. everything was still the same — writer’s block, the winter loneliness, the way yunho won’t stop singing jingle bell rock, yeah, everything was the same. at least, until a certain blonde haired boy made it his mission to melt your iced heart.
warnings none really!

this chapter is in san’s pov !
a/n i decided to update this today and give you all a double update for growing pains since i know it has been a good while:( let me know what you guys think :D
san thought he knew a lot of things back when he was still a rosy cheeked kid with deeper dimples than he had now — when he still had a lot of hope in the world and nothing snuffed out his spark just yet.
and maybe now that he’s an adult with more emotional scars than before, he can say he never wants anyone to feel the way he did. not since that night, he refuses to let anyone feel as if he has given up on them. sometimes he wonders if thats who he is or the fact he just wished no one ever gave up on him.
this small town, oh the ache it carried when he decided to come back three years ago to care for his mother. it was best to not live these days in his own rues, he had to learn to accept the past and embrace the future, no matter how much it ached.
and for the most part, san was fully convinced he was healed from that chapter of his life — that he no longer needed medication to make him feel alright.
“and this is yeosang.”
ah, that made his world shatter. kang yeosang in the flesh.
his eyes couldn’t help but match the other’s when they narrowed, eyeing and taking in the sight of how he was sat before the sound of your voice came up again, “you can sit by me if you want to.”
and san felt his heart ache a little, well— does it count as an ache? he hasn’t felt anything in his chest like this before, unless it was to do with hurt and sorrow. san nods, “of course yn.” he smiled, and tried to ignore the feeling of a glare on him as he took a seat with you, your smile warming him up.
it seemed that time was going by achingly slow, but san was thankful for the three that were there. mingi seemed to be decent, he reminded him of wooyoung. he should text wooyoung later, he forgot to do so.
as the movie progressed, it was some romcom that san could recall watching with his sister years ago, he couldn’t remember the name but he could recall certain scenes as he tried to snack on the popcorn given and focus on the texture, the taste. he could feel your hand brush against his and he felt his face warm, why was he warm?
“personally, if she says i’m a bird i’m gonna be a bird.” mingi broke the silence with his hands raised up in defense, making yunho snort and san couldn’t help but laugh a little himself and nod along. “so are you?” he teased a little and mingi grinned
“i like this guy.” mingi motioned over to san who nodded his head in acknowledgment and returned the grin, yunho agreeing with a “right!”
but san didn’t miss one thing,
the one thing but san is he was too observant for his own good
so yeosang must have forgotten that san noticed everything, even the similar little scowl that he remembered all too well.
“no! like this!” mingi shoved yunho aside to get onto the snowy ground, laying on his back and spread out to begin making a snow angel, making yunho groan and find a new spot to make his own
san chuckled, turning his attention to you who quickly looked away and back at your brother, making his lips only curl up more. he was convinced his face would hurt later on. “are they always like this?” he asked, wondering out loud and asking you while you nod and laugh. “sadly.” you said in response, san chuckled
“thank you for inviting me, yn.” san whispered softly as his eyes glanced up at the night sky, the stars twinkling and he noticed the moon was full. god, it was beautiful. he always loved the moon, he loved the different meanings and the different phases. how can something so magnetic and beautiful also be so far?
his eyes glanced towards you, your rosy nose scrunching as you felt the snowflakes fall onto the bridge of your nose and melt on your skin, your focus more on the same moon he was admiring.
how can something so magnetic and beautiful feel so far?
san walked back to his home, holding his house keys while you followed behind, your little hums making him smile at the snowy ground that he tried to focus on, counting each little detail. “hey san,” your voice met his ears, and he hummed in response
“i’m glad you came tonight.” you said, the two of you reaching his doorstep and he thought this was comical in a way, maybe even endearing. you were walking him to his door this time, oh how the roles reversed but he didn’t mind. he’d do anything to spend just even another second with you.
san smiled, “me too.”
“i’ll.. see you around?” your voice got a bit higher towards the end, your feet backpedaling to walk away soon to get on your way back home but your gaze was still on him, cheeks and nose rosy. “you know where to find me.” he whispered, not letting his eyes leave you for one moment. no, he needed to every little detail of you tonight committed to memory.
you looked.. so beautiful, under the moonlight with the snowflakes in your hair. “goodnight, san.” you looked at him, and he nodded.
“goodnight, yn.”
you reminded san of the moon,

I cannot believe it, I found the Hammarskjold movie
I really enjoyed it, it is about everything I would ask for
Thoughts under the read more, will include spoilers
I really like the direction, the dichotomy between Hammarskjold the Secretary-General and Dag the person. I see why some wanted more focus on the crisis itself, but I actually think the crisis is not that relevant to him, as the subject of the movie. And given the almost 2 hour run time already, I think it was the right decision.
I cannot talk about the dichotomy between Secretary-General and man without talking about Peter. I remember reading that the director added Peter as a stand-in for him, as a voice to which he said what he wanted to Dag. I definitely see that, but his sub-plot with Dag was so good it is barely noticeable. (And I respect the rpf self insert shipping 😂)
In the movie, Dag and Peter knew each other since University, but were estranged after Peter tried to kiss him on a camping trip. It’s almost like a romcom setup - the love interest reappears into the protagonist’s life in a time of turmoil and uncertainty, reigniting feelings the protagonist long repressed. In the past, Peter even gave him a gift - a statue of a unicorn - something Dag would later use in Markings to describe himself.
The conflict within Dag is so palpable. When Dag was told Peter had previously been found guilty of homosexuality in Sweden, the first thing he asked was if anyone else knew. When he rejected Peter for the second time, Greenback his pet monkey and sole companion died almost simultaneously… the parallel writes itself doesn’t it?
The Congo crisis itself was probably the weaker part of the movie, and I am fine with it. It quietly builds up in the background, and ends almost just as unsatisfyingly quiet. Because there is no fight at the climax, this is not a 3-arc narrative where everything is resolved, not even like the more well-known crises in the Cold War where everything ended generally better than it started, the crisis continued on for years, if not till modern day. Hammarskjold died, and the movie ends with him. I would suggest watching a different movie if you want to focus on the events of the crisis.
It somewhat reminds me of reading about the crisis in real life: you know what it is from the start, there is no gallant fight, you watch them walk away less hurt than the good people, you watch them win using all the dirty tricks, you know it doesn’t matter that the pilot who shot his plane down had tears in his eyes, you know how it ends.
Most other characters are relatively one-note, and I think it fits. Dag was a lonely, perhaps very repressed man. I think on some level he was afraid of being known so intimately, the way Peter did, and thus he keeps most people (that he didn’t know prior to being at the UN) at arm’s length.
The use of quotes from Markings were also well-chosen and well-timed. I could almost recite them by heart, and they fit very well into the plot. The movie does a really good job making you want to see Dag happy - in a cottage near his friends, back home in Sweden, no stressful job, and perhaps love. When Peter sent him a letter telling Dag that he had a right to be happy too, and Dag replied that Peter would be welcome when his term ended, it hurts ever more knowing it was too late.
I previously said this movie was my Oppenheimer, but that isn’t entirely accurate now, I suppose. Oppenheimer was a deeply polarising individual - the father of the atomic bomb - the movie must balance between his point of view and addressing the reality/horrors of him and his creation.
But Hammarskjold does not have this baggage - he is still by a wide margin considered the best Secretary-General of the UN, remembered universally positively. For once, Hammarskjold didn’t have to be the image of an impossibly perfect Secretary-General, he can be Dag. And I think he has more than earned it.
If this movie is all that the world will ever learn about Dag Hammarskjold, I would be satisfied. I would rank this a 10/10, but I am very easily satisfied by movies.
(If I got anything wrong, it’s probably because the version I watched had a dub in a language I do not speak, and subtitles that were not in sync with the movie)

ockiss24 - chigisa
Another fic for @ockissweek! This time with two of my fave girls :-). title: i blinked (and suddenly i had a valentine) pairing: charlie rosewall/nagisa yogo (@lilas) rating: gen word count: ~1.6k [ao3 link!]
Charlie can admit, in the privacy of her heart, that she doesn’t know what the fuck to do about Valentine’s day.
Look, it’s never been a date that’s called for any special attention. She is a career woman first, a socially repugnant bitch second, and a total ignoramus with love last. Her experience with the holiday wasn’t one of a romantic nature. Each year, she gave her siblings each a box of nice chocolates and spent her evening in the company of whatever shitty romantic comedy she could find. For years, that was her routine. And she was quite happy for it, thank you.
That is, until she met Nagisa.
They’d met at an art gallery’s opening weekend and had bonded over some rather shoddy looking art that came off as unintentionally erotic, and not in any good way. Then they’d kept running into each other in the artist circles they both frequented but weren’t true participants in. Friendship never came naturally to Charlie, but theirs had been one she kept gravitating towards.
Friendship morphed slowly into attraction, and attraction developed into a baby crush, gasping and new but persistent. Anyone with eyes would have liked Nagisa with her generous curves and wicked smile like she always knew something you didn’t. Or, lacking that, ears to hear her tinkling laugh and lilting, light voice that bellied her alarmingly sharp wit. Nagisa is the kind of woman that’ll have Charlie counting her lucky stars that Nagisa ended up liking her back.
(That’s still something Charlie puzzles over. See: socially repugnant bitch.)
Well, that’s all great and good. She got the girl. Now she’s faced with the problem of how to keep the girl. Her humiliating inexperience with dating and woeful lack of knowledge is a familiar and irritating hindrance. What does she do? They hadn’t been together that long – six months – so what would be the most appropriate Valentine’s date for them?
Dinner was a sort of option, albeit a dull one. Most nice places were fully booked for the night as well, so Charlie would be left with lower level scraps. She’d rather not spend the night fighting for a dingy little table at the Chilis, thanks. Scratch that.
Movies were also common enough. That might be fine if Charlie or Nagisa actually had any interest in the current showings. When Charlie tested those waters, she found the interest from her girlfriend tepid, at best.
(“Oh, February showings are almost as bad as January ones, Charlie. Especially this early into the month.” Nagisa had said after one brief, unimpressed glance at the listings. “There is a fun little romcom I think you’ll enjoy coming out at the end of the month, how’s that?”)
So that was also off the table.
Simple gifts were also aggravatingly difficult to navigate. Everything seemed too… tacky. Overwrought. Who needed a giant stuffed teddy bear crowding their space? No one. Or a cheap little mug filled with cheaper chocolate? Gross. Jewelry and lingerie were too advanced and too personal – Charlie blushed awfully red just thinking about choosing a frilly thing for Nagisa to wear – and Charlie doesn’t want to look, gods, desperate .
She is, of course. She is terribly desperate to prove to Nagisa that she is a worthwhile girlfriend worth the months Nagisa spent pining for her, flirting with her, only to be met with the frustration of Charlie’s absolute ignorance to all of it.
She just didn’t want it to be so painfully obvious.
Ah, fuck.
Love is really fucking hard.
*
Valentine’s day descends faster than she would like and the only thing Charlie secures is a decent bouquet of roses and an hour away from work to surprise Nagisa at lunch.
Despite the anxiety that this plan is supremely lame, Charlie did her best to dress herself well enough to impress. She put on the trousers that accentuated the length of her legs, chose a lip color Nagisa had once commented made her look “very yummy”, and spritzed herself with the expensive sandalwood perfume she’d worn for their first date. For a bit of confidence.
She needs every ounce she can manage.
Her hands keep clenching the bouquet in harsh, nervous spasms, which makes the cellophane crinkle noisily as she makes her way to Nagisa’s office. The walk feels a bit like the times she’d been sent to the headmaster’s office in her youth. There’s an overwhelming sense of foreboding, like she knows she’s already fucked this all up and all she’s got to look forward to is a fitting punishment for being a lackluster girlfriend.
Oh gods. Oh gods.
She can’t fucking do this.
There’s no time to formulate a last minute escape plan because Nagisa spots her through the window. Her round face instantly brightens with joy, eyes crinkling and mouth spreading into a wide grin. As always, that sends Charlie’s heart into a helpless, wild flutter. No one’s ever looked at her with such excitement like Nagisa has. No one’s ever looked at her like her being there has made their day better.
Nagisa is already standing up from her chair when Charlie steps inside her cramped little office. She holds out the bouquet in front of her like a shield and clears her throat discreetly.
“I see you’re– Here.” Fuck, bad start. Nagisa’s smile only grows in amusement, but she is thankfully patient with her floundering. “I mean, ah, I’ve brought you flowers. As you can see them.”
“I do, and they’re so very lovely,” Nagisa coos and steps out from behind her desk. “And whatever are they for, Charlie?”
Ah, she’s not playing nice then. Sometimes Nagisa will pity her and her apparent fondness for tripping over herself from her own emotional stupidity.
Not now, she supposes.
“For– you know, Valentine’s day. I wanted to take you out to lunch.” Charlie says, taking a small step forward and is disappointed when Nagisa takes the flowers from her hands, because it means now her hands have nothing to do. They clench spasmodically at her sides. “I have a table reserved for us at that restaurant that you like around the corner. The Thai place? It’s for a whole hour, and I’ve turned my phone off so there’s no chance someone will bother me.”
Nagisa hums in interest as she closes the space between them, but makes no effort in stopping Charlie’s sputtering over explanation. Nagisa’s hands settle on Charlie’s shoulders, stroking the silky fabric idly, her dark and lovely eyes sparkling and clear with her affection. This has the effect of making her brain flare up like an overheated filament before dying.
“A whole hour? Will you survive without checking your phone every ten seconds?” Nagisa says in that familiar teasing tone that Charlie hates to say she loves since she’s usually at the end of it.
“Yes,” Charlie says, a little too fast. Nagisa’s eyebrows quirk in mute disbelief. “Yes, of course! I won’t even have it on the table.” When Nagisa only stares at her, Charlie fumbles, panicked. “Do you not want to do lunch? We don’t have to. We can– I can find something, give me a second–”
Finally, feeling merciful, Nagisa cuts her off by pressing a chaste kiss to her mouth.
“Love, aren’t you the cutest? Do I make you so nervous?”
Heat flares up with the strength of an inferno up her neck. Charlie blushes viciously and gapes like an idiot. “I– Perhaps! Is it so bad I want to impress you? This is our first Valentine’s. Of many, I hope.”
“Oh, how many?”
Kill her.
“Ah– As many as you want to give me. You can have all of mine.”
Killing her would be a kindness.
“How romantic! Charlie, you’ll have me blushing with declarations like that.”
Nagisa is certainly not blushing. She does look as pleased as the cat who's got the canary.
“Yes, well, maybe I’ll come up with more life altering declarations at the restaurant. We should really go, I don’t want to waste our lunch hour,” Charlie says in an obvious bid for retreat from saying all of that . “So shall we?”
Nagisa laughs and kisses her again. This time, she lingers. Her hand moves from Charlie’s shoulder to cup her jaw. She is so warm pressed up against Charlie’s front, all soft curves and softer touches and smelling sweetly of roses. Charlie relaxes quickly into the kiss, tension and anxiety rolling off her, her heart slowing from its rabbit-fast pounding, and curls her hand around one full hip.
Charlie likes her so much. Even when Nagisa loves nothing more than to delight in teasing her painful awkwardness, Charlie feels it is from a place of pure fondness. Becoming such a damn fool wasn’t something she envisioned, but it’s a fine exchange to stay in Nagisa’s company.
“Nagisa,” Charlie breaks away from the kiss with a contented smile. “Lunch?”
“Mmm. I guess.” Nagisa pokes out her lip in a dramatic pout. Charlie notes, with a hot curl of satisfaction, that her plum lipstick has smudged. “Yes, yes, let’s go, I think that curry I like will be perfect for today.”
They leave the office together, huddled close against the biting February wind. Charlie’s hand pressed against Nagisa’s back, Nagisa’s cheek laid delicately against her arm. They spend the hour in the cozy heat of the restaurant, laughing and holding hands across the table. Not once does Charlie think of her phone tucked away in her purse or the work she’ll have waiting for her.
As far as a proper first Valentine’s day goes, Charlie couldn’t ask for any better. Holding Nagisa, being kissed by Nagisa – this is already more than she’s ever dared to hope for herself.

The people want to hear model/actress Sel lore 🙈
omg sera 🥺🫣 i am so awfully shy 😳
model/actress sel lore is really just me doing a bit of theatre at the start, and eventually taking an interest in movies (just to see what it’s like and how different it would be!) in all honesty, i’m a lot more interested in the behind-the-scenes of it all 🥹
i start out doing a few indie films, then eventually get casted as one of the side characters for a more mainstream film 🥹 along with that comes everything else—the press junkets, endorsements, some photoshoots here and there (which is really where i meet gojo for the first time—he started out as a model)
(my favourite part is having the long-form interviews though, podcast style—the ones that i can expound more on what to say 🥺 as i get more experienced, i make my own podcast centered around the behind the scenes of filmmaking 🥺)
i meet gojo in one of those hallmark, holiday-special type of movies—the ones with many couples slated for either valentines day or christmas or new years 🥹 (it’s really just a cash grab with all the box office names on it 😭) but!!! it’s his first dip into acting and he just so unfortunately is paired w me 😭
i guess people liked us together because we got paired for more projects together, photoshoots included 🥹 he was a pain in my ass for the most of our initial projects 🥹 i gave him my personal phone number thinking he was a normal guy just looking for a friend, not expecting him to be the greatest pest and nuisance of my entire career 🥹 like. who texts u at 3am asking whether he should wear a coat or a bomber jacket + if u like ice cream, when u BOTH have a 5am calltime the next day 😭😭
ANYWAY. the actress sel lore is that we kind of become a romcom thing (unfortunately) and i eventually warm up to him because all things considered, he is pretty endearing when he wants to be. so i end up reciprocating his feelings (devastatingly). after gojo and i get together, i try to step away from mainstream for a while, choosing to challenge myself with projects that are a lot more complex character-wise, and more challenging film production wise (with limited budget and all). i learn a lot and eventually dip my toes into producing 🥹
somewhere along the way i do dabble into music!!! because i did start out with musical theatre, so my heart will always be with the melodies 🥹 i use a catchy one word name just to separate my two personas 🥹
that’s all i can think of rn but 🥹🥹🥹🥹 tysm for being so interested sera 🥹🥹🥹 i rambled on for a lot omg

the fateful day has come and i finally watched red white and royal blue! (even just typing that i watched and not read rwrb is crazy) so im just going to post a small review about it in the read more (with only very mild spoilers)!
im not going to sugar-coat anything and just blatantly say that it didn't exceed my expectations. however, it was also not disappointing! you can definitely see how carefully they thought about what to adapt and how to adapt it. you can see how much the crew, the writers, and producers, honoured the book and created another amazing art from it. and i love that! as a reader and a fan of the book, i feel very comforted and—for lack of better words—"important".
i also love that the movie gave us henry's povs instead in certain scenes so that was something new and a pleasant surprise.
of course, as what most adaptations are, there are several iconic book scenes (and characters *side eye*) that did not make the movie. it is hard to fit everything that happened in an hour movie without it getting boring and/or dragging. but rest assured, the iconic important scenes made it in and was very well acted and well done. so really, it made sense why they decided to adapt what they can and couldn't and i think that's what makes it a good adaptation
i'd like to think that this movie is also a good "promo" for the book tbh. because if a movie-watcher would come across rwrb and would probably want to see more, they would definitely be encouraged to turn to the books (because there is definitely so much more in the pages). however, the movie captured the essence of rwrb and that's what's important to me.
the romcom was definitely romcom-ing and i liked every single moment i spent watching it. i would probably watch it over and over again as a comfort film. great great movie and i'm happy with it.
(and when H and A actually told each other the iconic 'history, huh?' emails, i cried real tears ngl. my fragile heart was touched.)

i feel a strong need to ask you AGAIN........ what are your top 10 favorite movies of 2023?
LOL OFF TO UR LETTERBOXD
(We really do need to watch Killers of the Flower Moon soon because I kind of wonder if that would be on there or if I'd just want to jump into a black hole of despair too much to appreciate the craft.)
In no particular order:
Bottoms--hilarious, romantic, everyone had chemistry (PJ and Brittany are gonna hook up in college for real) Josie and Isabel had my heeeeart, I just. Loved it.
They Cloned Tyrone--So funny, so devastating (when he went into the room oh my god???), we got a lovely little trio (maybe a throuple someday) out of it. I was so into it.
Sanctuary--Such a surprise! Arguably the hottest movie of the year! Dude, the scene where she looks him dead in the eye and goes "I'm ovulating" lmao I WAS. DEAD. Yet it's incredibly romantic too?
Fair Play--Dude. This was SHOCKINGLY good. I really didn't expect anything (a lot of the movies have surprised me, I think). It was weirdly funny at points, we began with such a high of accidental period cunnilingus being laughed at and followed by a proposal, and then we hit such incredible lows, yet it was so powerful in the end? Also, I didn't feel anything about either lead beforehand but they were so good??? I'm still thinking about the final shot of the movie, man.
Joy Ride--Fucking hysterical, I haven't laughed this hard with a movie in FOREVER. Yet also, it had a lot of heart? And a lot of hot guys? And that threesome scene lives rent free in my brain? And Stephanie Hsu is a fucking STAAAR? And the moment when Dead Eye says they don't have any friends I always tear up?
Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse--I am really starting to loathe superhero movies, as you know lol, but these movies stay golden and this one was arguably better than the first. Also, Miguel. I am free. Any day. Any week. I am here. I am ready. My heart is open. Other things are open. We are GOOD, little cartoon man.
Red, White, and Royal Blue--Such a fun romcom, man. I miss fun romcoms. Remember whe fun romcoms were fun and we had fun with fun romcoms? Such a quintessential one, and it gives me such light and free joy.
Nimona--OMG I LOVED THIS. I saw it with my little sibling, who identifies with Nimona in a lot of ways, so it holds a special place in my heart. The animation is beautiful. It makes my heart warm.
Past Lives--I think this could definitely be a contender for some Oscars, and well deserved imo. The scene where they just start hashing out all their memories and her husband just sits there, getting emotionally cucked before our eyes? Lmao. Dude.
M3gan--Yeah dude I don't give a fuck this movie gave me everything I wanted and when she started singing Titanium I laughed until I cried and my throat hurt.

A 2022 Recap: My 5 favorite dramas of the year
2022 was an interesting year. I didn’t watch as many dramas as I hoped to have had, so making this list wasn’t as hard as I expected it to be.
Disclaimer: This list is purely based on my own enjoyment of the show. They come in no particular order. This list is subjective, and will only include dramas that premiered in 2022 or have had their last episode air this year.
Our Beloved Summer (SBS,Netflix)
“A life without love is like a year without summer.”
This was absolutely beautiful. The cinematography, the music, and the chemistry between the leads were amazing. Watching this is like watching a movie. It was well-written and poetic. Notwithstanding the fact that I initially found the relationship between the leads toxic, this is actually a really solid romance drama. The characters were able to outgrow these toxic characteristics later on when they were older and gave the viewers a beautiful take on a second chance romance.
Twenty Five, Twenty One (tvN, Netflix)
This drama taught me what love was. I have never seen a connection between two characters as beautiful as what Na Hee Do and Baek Yijin shared. It’s been 9 months and I still think about them from time to time.
This drama captured the beauty of youth, first loves, and fighting for your dreams. Definitely was broken hearted with the ending. I didn’t need a happy ending; I just want one that made sense. I felt cheated when I first watched it, but then I realized how this drama literally resurrected me from my drama slump. Sometimes we forget how beautiful something was in the beginning, just because of its ending. The first 3/4 of the drama was definitely a 10. Regardless of how it tied everything, this was definitely one of the best dramas I’ve seen in my entire life.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo (ENA, Netflix)
This is the best surprise I had this year. I wasn’t really keeping up with the news surrounding this drama nor was I planning on watching it. I just started it on a whim one night and easily fell in love with it.
Although I love the portrayal of the romance, the real star of the show is the growth of Woo Young Woo as a lawyer. I love how each case she handles ties in with important themes in society. I especially like how this drama highlights the treatment of autistic people, since the titular character is one. You will definitely see how she tries to fit in, in a world where people have so many prejudices against people like her.
Relevant themes, unique, well-acted and heartwarming. This is definitely one of the best dramas this year.
A Dream of Splendor (Tencent)
This historical drama filled in what I was looking for in Chinese dramas for so long: a good, solid historical romance.
Well-acted and has a sensible plot. This drama is considerate to the eyes and the brain. I also liked how there is a story outside the romance. The 3 women’s journeys to finding their places in a male-dominated world is to root for. I especially liked each woman had a different personality and at some point, even had different directions in their lives, but they still kept their strong friendship in the end.
Love Between Fairy and Devil (iQiyi)
The hype is real guys. This is the xianxia drama of the year.
This is straight out like a fairytale. “What happens when the villain falls in love?” Watch him damn the whole world just so he can kiss her one last time.
The CGI, costumes, music, and the overall aesthetic of this drama was absolutely beautiful. I definitely think this is a good drama to watch as an introduction to the world of xianxia dramas.
Runner Ups
A Business Proposal (SBS, Netflix)
This definitely reminded me so much of old-school romcom Kdramas which I missed so much. This is cliche done right. It almost has every trope you’ll find often plagued in Kdramas, but this drama did it so well.
I do wish the ending was different. Definitely a drama to watch if you just want to turn off your brain and watch two most unlikely people fall in love.
Lighter and Princess (Youku)
Definitely a guilty-pleasure. I really enjoyed the transitions of the relationship of the main couple. They started out as academic rivals, then became co-workers, then friends, then lovers, broke up, met again in a new workplace, became friends again, then got back together. Objectively, it’s not the best drama out there. The second half most especially felt lacking, and I didn’t like the “villain” of the story. Still this drama got me so hooked I bought a Youku subscription.
Maybe it was because of the chemistry between the leads, maybe it was because of Arthur Chen’s dashing looks, or maybe it was the fact that it rekindled my love for bad boys. I can’t pinpoint specifically what made this drama so addictive. But I do know for sure that this is my favorite modern Chinese romance drama of the year.

We had a wonderful night together. DD took me for a spin in his sports car and we picked up burgers and had a sunset picnic in the park. He looked really sexy in his Ray Bans. He took me to a picnic table overlooking the river and we had dinner and talked and laughed over some goofy things. Before that, we had incredible sex. After dinner, he led me to this old oak tree that had a romantic canopy of leaves and proceeded to make out with me under the tree, hidden away from everyone. It was like something out of a romcom movie - just us, covered by a thick canopy of oak leaves under a live oak tree so old all of its branches touched the ground, creating a bubble of foliage. It was just us in this secret bubble, lost in a kiss. We plan to bring a blanket next time so we can go back to our secret spot. 😉 Later, we continued our romantic stroll, holding hands and talking, and at one point we sat on this bench and kissed passionately. We talked about our childhoods and turns out DD had lived in Nairobi, Paris, New York, New Jersey, Wellesley, MA, Houston, Denver, and here. He loves to travel, much like myself.
After dinner, we went back home for some, uh, dessert. The man made me come 6 times. That's a new record. The gummies made us feel so relaxed. DD gazed into my eyes and kissed me so much I could hardly breathe. We curled up on the bed and cuddled. He wanted me to sleep over and we were so comfy nestled in each other's arms, but it was a school night. That date was the most romantic one I've been on in a long time. Maybe the most romantic date I've ever had. No one has ever taken me on a romantic picnic and a walk hand in hand to these picturesque, beautiful places.
He told me wants to get married again, but for the right reasons. He had a shotgun wedding at his ex's insistence. According to him, he gave her everything she wanted. And he really did - left his hometown, bought the house she wanted, had a baby (she wanted kids, he was done but changed his mind for her), and had the wedding she wanted. Turns out he wanted a big fat Jewish wedding with a woman he loves and not a quickie wedding to make an honest woman out of them. He was honest and visibly heartbroken over the whole thing.
I'm down so bad for this man. Trying not to fantasize about marrying him and smashing the glass at the ceremony. 😂 My life has become very Charlotte coded. Also, he's considering leaving the job for not only $, but for me, to avoid potential conflicts of interest so it wouldn't jeopardize my job, yet we could still be together. Imagining the looks on everyone's faces and the clutching of pearls when we hard launch our relationship and I bring him as my date to the holiday party! 😂 The thought of me saying, "This is my boyfriend, DD. You may know him already." They would lose their shit over the big reveal! 😂
I also found out he talks a big game but the recreational drugs he bought were 5 mg gummies. Microdose stuff. The gummies at the CBD shop are stronger than that! Also, the marriage talk is because of his Jewish upbringing. I didn't know that dating was with the intention of marriage in some circles, which is why he was so quick to explain. Jewish men are not like the men from my spiritual background. They are much more egalitarian, which I love. DD also mentioned how it hurt him to hear how I was treated by my boss behind our shared partition. My boss is not as kind to me as his is to him. He wants to defend me so much but knows that would blow our cover.
He is really keeping deep cover when we leave work to avoid suspicion. It's because if DD looks at me, he goes completely gaga and makes serious heart eyes. Someone would be bound to notice. ☺️ He gets a bit shy around me the morning after our nights together, too. It's cute, really. I managed to sneak him a big smile this morning and he smirked, then put on his "all business" face as he walked past so nobody would notice. I told him I had an amazing time on our date last night and said I would love to see that tree again. He said he wanted to as well - it was very nice! 😉 I'm looking forward to our next picnic. I've got it bad...

From Brush to Heart (a bang chan fanfic) CHAPTER 13
Pairings: Bang Chan/Rebecca(OC), Han/Luna(OC) Genre: Romcom
I gasp as I hear Chan telling Hyunjin he doesn't like me. He doesn't like me. Turning around, I decided I had enough drama for the night. Walking towards the elevator, tears form in my eyes. "This is not the time to cry. This is the time to get out while I still can." I gave myself pep talk when my phone rings. Taking it out of my handbag, I see it's Chan. Why is he calling? Does he not know what he just did? I turn off my phone as more tears form in my eyes, wiping them away from my cheeks.
The elevator arrives and I hesitate to get on, I turn my head, with little hope I had left that he would come around the corner looking for me. As I hear footsteps, I smile but when I see a staff member come around the corner, my smile falters. "Guess it wasn't meant to be." I get on the elevator feeling empty, I press 'P' for parking floor.
As the elevator doors start closing, a voice calls out. "Rebecca!" A hand comes in between forcing the doors to open again. There stands Bang Chan, all in glory wearing all black from head to toe, his blue hair on display. I wipe my tears and stand up straight as he walks inside.
"What do you want?" I sounded bitter but that's because of the obliviousness he has.
"Why did you leave?" Chan asked, looking at me.
"Seriously?" I asked, now really angry. If he hadn't asked me that, I would'nt have gotten angry in the first place!
"Why are you so angry?" I blink at him. And then I burst into fits of laughter. "What's so funny?"
"Oh my god," I say as I try to compose myself. "I seriously can't believe you're asking me after what I just witnessed." He just stares at me and it just pisses me off more so I lay everything on him. "I have helped you whenever you needed it. I even vouched for you and took the blame for your sake!" I was now breathing heavily as he looked stunned. "It's my fault that I caught feelings for you. And from the look on your face right now, maybe it wasn't the best decision to tell MY best friend that I've liked him for the past 3 years."
A few mins go by, the elevator door opens and I squeeze past him. As I walk to my car, a hand grabs my wrist and turns me around. "Where are you going?"
"I'm leaving," I say as I shake his hands off. As I walk towards my car, tears roll down my cheeks. Stupid. I'm so stupid. Why on earth would I think that he would fall for me? He's an idol. I'm just an ordinary person. When I'm about to start my car, my phone ringing makes me jump. Taking it out of my bag, his name flashes across the screen. I was angry. I was angry at him.
I needed to get out of here. So I drive straight home. I need a shower. A long hot shower. And ice cream. Lots of it. But when I enter the apartment, I'm greeted by a happy Luna. "Hey, I was just about to call you.......what happened?"
I shake my head at her and head straight to my room to take out comfy clothes before going to the bathroom. When the hot water hits my face, washing away the makeup along with fresh tears. I don't know how long I stayed under the water. I just wanted to feel numb. Did he not see the way I looked at him every time we were together? Did he seriously not know? Was he that oblivious?
When I do finally get out, I look in the foggy bathroom mirror, I wipe it with my hand and.... I look like a hot mess. Eyes red and puffy. And I feel like I need a month's worth of sleep. When I finally enter the living room, there's a tub of my favorite flavor of ice cream waiting for me. And Luna, going through netflix, probably to put on a movie. I sit beside her with the ice cream in my lap and a spoon in my hand. Taking a spoonful of the strawberry flavored ice cream, I enjoy the bliss for a few seconds. "I think....I think I'm going to take a small break from work."
"Wait, what?" Luna says as she turns towards me. "What happened?"
Turning my head, I smile with a tear falling down my cheek. "Luna. Why is it always me?"
"What do you mean?"
"Is there something wrong with me?" I didn't want to cry but the tears wouldn't stop. "I told him."
"Oh, honey," she says as she envelopes me in a hug. "What did he say?"
"He told the others he doesn't like me. So, I turned off my phone before coming home."
"That little....do you want me to beat him up for you?" I blink at her before bursting out laughing. "What?"
"Nothing," I smile as I loop my left arm around her and lay my head on her shoulder. "I'm just glad you're here, bestie."
"Me too." She presses play as Shrek starts playing. For the rest of the night, we watch different movies and eat all kinds of snacks while laughing at our own jokes.
*2nd day*
I've been mostly staying athome and I've been catching up on my sleep. No more waking up at odd hours just to get to work. I still hadn't turned on my phone. I kept myself occupied with my new ps5 I bought with lots of games to play. Even Luna joined me to play a 2 player game when she had a day off. It was all I could do not think about him.
*3rd day*
Today was a little better. But I didn't get out of bed, only to get food or go to the bathroom. I played games on the iPad and had another TV delivered to put in my bedroom so I could play on the ps5. One look from Luna was all it took for me to shut my door. I didn't want to face him or anybody.
*5th day*
I was at my wits ends. I was running out of games to play because I had completed all of them. I now wore my pjs all day and only ate junk food. Luna had come home yesterday to find me sleeping on the couch with my hand still in a bag of chips. She scolded me for it when I woke up and told me to take a shower. Maybe.... once I'm okay enough. Maybe then I'll be able to face everybody.
*8th day*
It has now been a week. I had taken a shower and pampered myself. Even got my hair dyed back to black since it was my natural color anyway. I walked into my room when I noticed my phone sitting on my desk. It hadn't been turned all this while....so I plug the charger in and wait for it turn on. Once it lights up to the lockscreen, I pause. It's a picture of the boys. Smiling, I put the passcode in and once it's connected to the wifi, my phone gets bombarded with missed calls and messages. I click on the kakao group chat with the boys and I see their warm words telling me to take all the time I need to come back. As I'm catching up on their messages, a message notification comes up. It's Chan. My smile falters. Debating if I should read it or leave him on 'read'....."Fuck it." I click on his name.
C: Becca, I'm sorry. Please pickup. C: Becca, please. C: Rebecca, pickup please. I'm going crazy over here. C: please
My heart does a flip when I see the 3 dots forming. As I'm about to type, his message comes through.
C: Becca?
Not even a second later, another message.
C: are you there?
R: yes.
C: omg finally! Do you know how worried i was? I couldn't reach for a week!
R: what do you want?
C: to talk to you.
R: then talk.
C: in person.
In person? I don't think I'm ready to see him just yet. But my heart hammering against my chest is saying otherwise. Dammit, I'm going to regret this later.
R: fine. Where?
C: can you come to the studio right now? Im working here for the next few hours.
R: see you in a few.
Sighing, I get up and change. I wear comfy yet casual, baggy jeans, white tanktop with a green cardigan. Light makeup and brushed out my hair. Once satisfied looking in the mirror, I grab my things and head out.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I'm standing outside the door of his studio, mentally preparing myself. As I'm about to knock, the door swings opens, revealing Chan standing in all black, except for his hair. And he looked beautiful, even without makeup. His eyes widen when he sees me. "Becca? You...you dyed your hair."
"Hi." It's all I can manage to get out. I mentally slapped myself for not coming up with anything better to say.
He stands aside, letting me inside. As I walk in, all the flashbacks of being in here hits me like a ton of bricks, even if they were only a few times. "How are you? You look good."
"Thanks. I'm well." I turn to look at him. He looks thinner. And looks like he's not been sleeping well I wonder if he's been eating right. "You look busy," I state, glancing around the studio. The equipment I got him placed nicely in front of his macbook with the 3 big screens on the wall.
"Yeah, well comes with the perks of being an idol. No free time."
I chuckle at his statement and he smiles at me. "What?" I blink at him.
"I've missed your laugh."
My smile falters. If he saying something again....
"The boys miss you. I miss you. I miss my best friend."
Tears start to form in my eyes. "I really can't do this." I start walking towards the door when I'm spun around.
"Why did you leave that day?" He asks firmly.
"You know exactly why."
"No, I don't know why." Do I need to spell it out for him?
"Do you think my feelings are a joke?" I look at him, now determined to know answers.
He blinks at me, perplexed. "What? No! What made you think that?"
"Then why did you say you didn't like me when Hyunjin asked you?"
He blinks again and scrunches his nose. "What?"
Sighing, I yank and free my arm. "I'm leaving." I turn around but I let out a gasp when I'm turned around again, both of his hands on my arms."What the fuck? Let me go."
"No."
"What do you mean 'no'?"
"I mean no. I let you leave that day. I'm not about to let you leave again and ghost me for a week. This past week has been hell for me. Did you know I almost collapsed?"
My eyes widen. "What?"
"Yeah. Of course you wouldn't. Your phone was off. When you left that day, a part of me was crushed and I couldn't understand why till today, when I saw you standing outside the door."
I could only blink at him. Is that why he looked so weak?
"Your feelings are not a joke to me. As for the incident, if you had just stayed, you would've heard me about to tell them I like you as well."
Blinking my eyes at him, the hair on my neck stood up. "What?"
"When you left, my heart broke in half."
"And you think mine didn't? I was a mess for a whole week, Chan. Today was the only day when I actually started feeling better. What did you expect from a girl who heard the guy she's liked for the past 3 years say he doesn't like her back?!" I blew up at him. "Did you expect me to stay? Did you expect me to just wait fo--" my words get cut short as a pair of warm lips land on mine. When it finally registers, I push him back. "What...what are you doing?"
"Stop talking." He cups my cheeks and crashes his lips on mine again. I'm caught by surprise but I fist the front of his shirt as I close my eyes and kiss him back. His hands travel down my hips as my arms slowly go around his neck, fisting his blue hair earning a moan from him causing him to gently push me back till my back hits the door. An electricity jolt goes through us as we pour our feelings for each other into the kiss. I'm kissing my best friend. I'm kissing the man who just told me he likes me as well. And his kisses taste like vanilla. With a hint of mint.
As we come up for air, he rest his forehead on mine, biting his lip as he smiles. "I've been waiting to do that."
"Likewise." I say smiling. We both laugh when he swoops down again and kisses me again. I welcome it and lose myself in the kiss. Oh god, please don't let this end. His hand grabs my hair tightly causing me to let out a moan. Thank god this room doesn't have any cameras. Otherwise, we would've been in big trouble. "I don't think think you're going to get any work done if we keep doing this."
"Fuck work," he whispers as leans in for another kiss and this time he bites my lower lip causing me to open my mouth so he could devour me. I felt like this was a dream. The only thing I was focused on was the way his lips felt. And his hands. And his lips. Oh god, his lips. I've wanted to know what these lips tasted like ever since I first met him. Vanilla. Mint. But as much as I wanted to carry this more, it wasn't the appropriate place so I gently push him back.
"Channie," I giggle when he places soft kisses on my cheeks and on the side of my neck. "You need to work. You and the boys have a lot of events coming up." He shakes his, keeping his mouth on my neck so I grab his head diverting his attention on me. "Please?
He sighs and looks at me. "Fine. But you text me when you get home."
"Deal." I smile as he lets me go and sits on the chair, going back to what he was doing. He turns his head, his dimples pop out as he winks at me. My cheeks warm and butterflies in my stomach, my head was all fuzzy. I felt like I was on cloud 9. I say bye to him before leaving but that's not how he wanted to say bye at all. The man was unstoppable but I made a promise to text him once I get home. And when I got home, I was thankful Luna wasn't home yet. When I reach my room, my phone vibrates and I take it out of my handbag, still smiling.
C: did you get home safely, babygirl?
R: yes. are you going to keep calling me that?
C: what? babygirl?
R: yes
C: i think you just answered your own question.
R: but you never asked me properly....
R: will you be my girlfriend, babygirl?
If Luna was to barge in right now, I wouldn't even care if she got mad at me.
R: yes
C: yay :) i cant wait to tell the guys.
R: i have to tell Luna.....
C: babe, i dont think telling her the news with your sharp mouth is the best idea...
Oh, he got jokes, does he?
R: hah says the the person who tried to hit on me on my first day of work.
C: ouch.
R: dont you have music to make?
C: nah, baby. the only music is your voice to my ears.
Becca: oh my god. you've lost it. You've actually lost it
C: but i havent lost you.
Becca: BAHNG CHRISTOPHER CHAHN GO TO WORK
C: ne~ ;)
I smile at the screen. I have a boyfriend. Luna's going to flip when I tell her.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning I was woken up by my phone ringing. Groaning, I reach for it with closed eyes. Who the hell is calling this early? I put it next phone, still laying in bed. "Yeoboseyo?"
"Uri gongjunim il-eonass-eoyo?" The voice asks.
"Nuguseyo?
"Neoui sae namjachingu."
"Na namjachingu eobs-eoyo," I reply, half asleep.
"Oh, so you're saying the kiss last night meant nothing?"
My eyes shot open and I spring up in my bed. "Chan?"
He laughs soflty, music to my ears. "I can't believe you forgot us already."
Us. US. My lips curve up into a smile, tucking a hair strand behind my eyes. "I didn't forget. I'm not a morning person."
"Oh, did I wake you? I'm sorry."
This man...... "Channie, it's okay. I'm glad you woke me up or otherwise, my roommate would've barged in to wake me up."
"Hey."
"Yeah?"
"Na joh-ahae," he says, in his honey voice.
I wanna scream into a pillow. The blush creeps to my cheeks. "Me too."
"See you at work?"
"Yeah. See you at work." I hang up and squeal into my pillow when my room door burts open. "Jesus, do you ever knock?" I see Luna with a box in her hand and her expression is...I can't quite read it. "What is it?"
"This," she says, raising the box. "Was dropped off just now. No name. I also happened to see who dropped it."
My smile falter and the same fear sets in. "And you picked it up? Are you stupid? What if it was a bomb?" I walk to her and grab the box, immediately reching at the smell. "What the hell?"
"Yeah, I had the same reaction until I looked inside," she states.
I set the box on my desk and proceed to open it. I shriek loudly, taking a step back. "What the fuck? What the fuck is that?!"
I want to throw up. "It's a rat."
"A dead rat?" I exclaim. "Who in their right mind sends a dead rat?"
"The same person who knocked on our door."
I look at Luna, shocked. "What do they want?"
"I looked at the intercom and I don't know if it's my morning brain still waking up but he looked familar."
"He? What makes you think it's a male?"
"Because when he stood up, he took a key from his pocket and the keychain around it had white axes."
No....no, it surely cannot be. I walk to the intercom and replay the video that it recorded. I see him bend down and place the box before he stands up. And then as Luna said, he takes out a key and it had a keychain. I squint my eyes a bit and zoom in on his hand. The white axes that I gave to him on his birthday, poke out light as day. "Ryan."
-----------------------------------------------------------------
A/N: dun dun dunnnnnnn. Two updates in a row because I couldn't wait to write Bec-Chan. Also, she has a korean name. Can anyone guess? :)

Lein

Who else can be part of you role?
Luna
What will they be like?
Luna - a girl who is Lein's classmate and friend since Junior but secretly has a crush on Lein but did have the courage to confess to him.
Introduction/Narration
There was once a boy who used to be so sweet, free, kind and willing to help others first rather than himself. A boy who was once in relationship with the girl she thought to be the most perfect one for her. He gave everything and treated her like no other. A love no one can give. But things takes an unexpected turn. The boy found out that his girl is cheating. The boy who once was sweet, free, kind and willing to help others, has his heart shattered to pieces. His heart is full of pain, anger, and hatred. The things that made the boy very messed up. He is now scared to fall in love again and enter a relationship because he is scared that he will experience the same and will be hurt again and left behind. He endured the pain and traumas for a long until things became differently as the time goes by...
His life changed when he became closer with a girl named Luna, her classmate since Junior. Luna was like the perfect girl a guy can have. She's pretty, kind, genuine, sweet, positive, helpful and caring. She is the same like Lein back then. She is the kind of girl that you'd think who comes out of anime or romantic movies. The only problem is that Luna doesn't see what everyone see in her, she doesn't believe that she is pretty and have a nice body figure. When someone compliments her, she always say "Can I borrow your eyes so I can see what you can see?". What they didn't know is that Luna has a crush on Lein since their Junior Years and doesn't have the courage to confess to him because of her introverted personality. At school, Luna would always approach her at school because Lein is always alone and no one talks to him. Luna had a goal to win Lein's heart to prove him that she can love him like no one else. As Luna always approach Lein, he always avoid Luna or always push her away. As time goes on, Lein always find her presence whenever she is not around. Lein just realized that she has fallen for Luna because she is always with her and always cheer him up,help him on things. Lein find the right moment and confess his feelings to Luna. In the end they become together and become a healthy couple.
Dialogue
Lein: (sign) Another day, another misery, what can possibly ruin this day?
(Lein stepped on poo)
Lein: Should have shut my mouth
As Lein walks to school, as girl is running behind him and crash together.
Lein: Ouch (said in pain) watch where you are goin- … Luna?
Luna: I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to crash with you, I was reviewing while running.
Lein: It’s ok, it’s also my fault not being aware of my surroundings, here your reviewer.
Lein: ( Oh right she's the girl who always want to hang out with me and help me even though I am pushing her away )
Luna: (blushes) uhm thanks
Luna: (Ran)
Lein: Wait!
Lein: (Why did she run? Did I do something?Nevermind, I’ll just go before I get late to class)
It was time for health break and Lein is going to the cafeteria alone then suddenly someone goes with him to buy food.
Lein: (What should I buy)
Luna: Hey Lein! where you goin’?
Lein: To the cafeteria to buy food, why?
Luna: Can I come?
Lein: Why?
Luna: You were alone so I thought coming with you will make you feel not lonely at least.
Lein: (What's wrong with this girl? Why does she want to come with someone like me? Did she drink something to see me differently?)
Lein: (sigh) Alright, come with me.
Luna: Yayy! Let's go!
Lein: (She is like a flower, kinda resemble someone)
Lein:(had a flashback of his ex)
Lein: ...
Luna: Lein, are you okay? Is something wrong? You look kinda sad just now.
Lein: (fake smile) No it's nothing, come one let's go.
Luna: Ok...
Luna got worried to Lein to what she saw from Lein just now. The next teacher comes and while discussing, Luna is staring Lein in his chair looking very sad and feels like thinking about something. Luna is worried that he is going through something bad and making him look this way.
The last bell rang and all their classmates left to go home. Lein was left behind to arrange the chairs. As Lein was arranging the chairs, Luna saw him while walking in the hallway. Luna came inside the classroom.
Dialogue
Luna: Hey Lein.
Lein: (shocked) Lu-Luna??, don't give me a heart attack, why are you still here?
Luna: Ohhh uhmm I thought I left my pencils and erasers here so I came back and what I see I think it's not here.
(Luna lied, she just wanted to be with Lein)
Lein: Awww that's bad, I hope you found it.
Luna: Thanks, say can I help you?
Lein: ... just go home, I can take care of this myself.
Luna: Nah let me help you, it'll make it easier.
Lein: (Seriously what's with this girl? I tried to push her away but she doesn't seem to get away from me)
Lein: (sign) Fine, let's just finish so that we can go home.
Luna: Yayyyy!
Lein: (She really is weird, her energy is so positive)
(Another flashback of his ex)
Lein: ...
Luna: That look from earlier in the hallway, you did it again just now, is something bothering you?
Lein: No, nothing really, let's just continue.
Luna: Ok...
Luna: ( I feel like something is really bothering him, I wonder what it is? Was it me? )
After they arranged the chairs, both of them leave and walk together to go home. While they are walking, Luna took the chance to ask again what was bothering him and ask other questions Lein didn't expect.
(Lein and Luna walking in silence)
Luna: Say Lein, could it be that I am the one bothering you?
Lein: Wa-wait, what made you think of that? Of course not.
Luna: Really? because I am noticing that everytime I'm with you, you'd always make that face like something is bothering you.
Lein: No it's just that...
( Both sit on a bench on the side of the road )
Lein: You remind me of someone I don't want to remember.
Luna: Wait me? Who?
Lein: ...
Lein: My ex.
Luna: Oh you had an Ex? sorry I made you think something from the past just from being with you, I'm really sorry!
Lein: Don't apologize, it's not your fault and beside, it's not really big of a deal anymore since it's been 2 years now since our we were a thing.
Luna: Then what made you remember of your ex whenever I am with you?
Lein: ( Thinking with his arms in his chin )
Lein: She has the same personality as you, always kind, positive, talkative, and always help me on things.
Luna: Then why are you sad when you think of her?
Lein: It's just...
Lein: It's just that when I remember her, I am always reminded of the thing she did to me that broke me into a million pieces.
Luna: What? What did she do?
Lein: She cheated on me for a another guy on her Birthday. I caught then hugging in the park while holding the flowers I was about to give her. I just let go of the flower and ran away crying.
Lein: I gave everything to her and all for what? Just to be replaced by a guy who did not commit her standards?!
Luna: Chill out Lein, I don't want you to explode and go on a rampage.
Lein: It's ok, this is just I how I talk when I want to release some steam.
Luna: Then let some more out, I'll listen.
Lein: Really? you'd do that for someone worthless like me?
Luna: Don't call yourself worthless, every person has a worth which gives us a purpose to live.
Lein kept ranting and ranting to Luna about his past and how painful what his Ex did to him.
Luna: That's just it?! She just replaced you with someone else just because of a little fight?! She's so insensitive!
Lein: I know right, I feel like the things that I did were not enough for her to love me the same way I loved her.
Luna: No! what you gave and did is more than enough, you've gave her everything, you are boy every girls dreamed of, you have that great mindset when it comes into a relationship.
Lein: (smiles and blushes) uhm thanks.
Luna: (gasp) Did you just smile? Do it again!
Lein: I think you seeing things.
Luna: Nu oh, I just saw that gorgeous smile of yours, why don't you smile more often?
Lein: (blush) Stop teasing me! Let's just go home.
Luna: ( Grabs Lein's arm with a grin on her face )
Luna: ( grin ) ohhh did I make your heart raise, Lein?
(Both stared deeply in their eyes like if they were in the moment and the world stop for a second)
(Lein's heart is beating so fast that his hands became sweaty)
Lein: ( What's wrong with this girl? What did I just feel just now )
Lein: (Stuttering Shout) Eno-enough, let's just go please!
3e.,...?
Luna: ( agreed with a little laugh ) Ok hehehe.
When Lein got home, he has been thinking non stop of what happened, he didn't understand that feeling he felt when Luna cheered him up.
Lein: ( What was that? My heart feels like it's going to explode in any moment and what was that feeling? )
Lein: (sign) I'll just forget about and just sleep.
Lein didn't even sleep a minute that night because of what happened
(The bell school rang)
Lein: I didn't even get to sleep last night because of what happened (sleepy)
(Someone sneek up behind his chair)
Luna: Good Morning Lein!
Lein: (shocked) Ahhhh! wh-why did you do that?!
Luna: You were sleepy so maybe surprising you will wake you up.
Lein: (and it really did a great job!)( in a angry way)
Lein: (sign) what do you want?
Luna: Hmm nothing just wanted to be with you.
Lein: (Looks away and blush)
Lein: ( What the- its the same feeling I felt yesterday )
Luna: What's wrong Lein?
Lein: ( Looks back to Luna nervously ) Ohh noth-nothing, I'm fine.
Luna: ( grin ) ohhhhh reallllyyyy? or did I just make your heary raise again?
Lein: (with a shocked smile looking away from Luna) What are you talking about?
Luna: Bingo! I was right!
Lein stand up and get his face closer to Luna's face.
Lein: No you're wrong!
(Both went silent as they look at each others eye like they are staring at each others soul)
Lein and Luna: ...
Lein: You got...beautiful eyes.
Luna: (blush)
Luna: I-I uhm...
( Luna slaps Lein )
Lein: Ouch! what was that for?!
Luna: You idiot!
(Luna proceeds to run)
Lein: (I just said her eyes are beautiful, was there something wrong with that?)
(Luna was in the Girl's Bathroom thinking of what happened)
Luna: (Why did I do that? That was so embarrassing)
(Luna slaps herself on both cheeks)
Luna: Keep it together Luna, I know you are inlove with him but don't make too obvious.
Luna: Ok let's just go to the classroom like nothing happened.
Luna enter the classroom, she look at Lein, sleeping.
As the day goes on, Lein is just sleeping on his chair because he didn't get sleep last night.
Luna: Hey Lein, wake up its already the last bell.
Lein: Huh?
Luna: It's already 5pm, everyone has left except the two of us!
Lein: Wait what!
Lein: Wait then why are you still here?
Luna: I was waiting for you.
Lein: Why?
Luna: ... just wanted to wait for you, nothing else.
Lein: Then let's arrange the chair and go ho-
(Lein was surprised that the chairs were already arranged)
Lein: You arranged them?
Luna: Yeah so that when you wake up you have nothing else to do and just go home.
Lein: Ohh Thank you for being thoughtful.
Luna: Let's go home then.
Lein: (smiles as he look to Luna's face) Right.
As they were walking home, Luna ask Lein a question.
Luna: Hey Lein, is there someone you like?
Lein: What a randon question you got there, why you ask?
Luna: (Looks away) ohh nothing just curious.
Lein: Hmmm to be honest, I have no one in mind.
Luna: Ohhhh then what are the standards that you want in a girl?
Lein: Hmmm probably a girl that has same vibes as me and also has the same liking as me like she watch animes, has a good humour, maybe a dominant girl, very sweet, and especially very clingy.
Luna: That's it?
Lein: Yeah those are just the things I want from a girl.
Luna: ( I don't want to assume but I think the standards that he said was me?)
Luna: Those were kinda simple standards but if that's what you want then that's what you must find.
Lein: Ok I'll go this way, be safe on your way home!
Luna: I will! Bye!
Luna: ...
Luna: (What if I confess to him? Will he accept my feelings? Even though fron what I'm seeing, he is suffering from his past and I feel like if I confess to him, I'll lose what bond we have created)
Luna: I'll confess tomorrow and I'll accept what he will response.
Lein got home and while he was in bed he was thinking of what happened
Lein: ( I wonder why does Luna act like that when she is with me and that question from ealier is pin in my head)
Lein: (...)
Lein: (Does Luna..)
Lein: (like me?)
Lein: ...
Lein: (If she has feelings for me, should I consider her feelings)
Lein: (Wait, do I have feelings for her as well? Why am I acting and feeling strange when she's with me)
Lein: ...
Lein: ( Should I try get into a relationship again? Will it be the same as last time that I will be the one getting hurt?)
Lein: ( I mean like is about taking risk or losing the chance)
It was now Friday and both of them got into class. Both of them were awkward to face each other.
Lein: ...
Luna: ...
Lein and Luna: I-
Lein and Luna: You go first.
Lein and Luna: No, you go first.
Lein: Ok let me go then, I was hoping after class afternoon, can we go to the park? I just wanna hang out.
Luna: I was actually to ask you the same thing but yes I wanna go.
Luna: ...
Lein: ...
Luna: So...I'll see you later?
Lein: Yeah see you later.
Both of them awkwardly left and seat on their chairs the whole day.
Class have ended and it was time to go home. Both of them are still seating waiting for them to take the first move.
(Both of them stand up in the same time nervously)
Lein: Let's go!
Luna: Yeah!
They were like idiots who were going to do something stupid on themselves
Both of them have finally arrived at the park and seat on the bench
Lein: ...
Luna: ...
Luna: I-
Lein: (nervous voice)So-so what did you want to talk about?
Luna: (Calm herself down)
Luna: Say Lein, do you still suffer from your past?
Lein: ... Yes I am still suffering from past because of what she did to me, to be honest I am still scared to enter a relationship again because it might end up like last time.
Luna: ( So he is scared but I want to show him I am different from his last)
Lein: Was it really that obvious that I am still suffering from my past?
Luna: Yes I still see it in your eyes that you are still suffering from what she did to you everyday, every night.
Luna: You really deserve better or greater, Lein.
Lein: Do you think so? Even though I am not enough to love someone?
Luna: Don't think lowly of yourself Lein! No you are perfect, you are ok just the way you are and to be honest you are a man every girl can dream of, a very sweet, kind, positive and helpful boy and not to mention you are handsome.
Lein: Wow, is how I really look like to you?or are you just saying that to make me feel better?
Luna: No! this is how I see you Lein!
Luna: Because...
Luna: I like you Lein.
Lein: (shocked) you...like me?
Lein: How can you like someone like me, someone so pathetic and miserable! I am such a mess and you'll just leave me when you get tired of me! Do you still want that pathetic messed up boy in front of you?
Luna: The only thing I see us a boy who has been hurt several times but still choose to stand. A boy who was taken advantage of his kindness.
Lein: (starts to cry)
Luna: You don't need to suffer anymore. What you need is happiness. Happiness from someone.
Luna: Can...I be that someone, Lein?
Lein stand up and hugged Luna so tightly and whispered...
Lein: Yes.
Luna: You don't have to worry anymore, Lein.
Luna: I love you
Lein: (with a faint voice) I love you too.

“And you still really have to ask her out.”
“I know,” Steve sighed, “I know.”
“Okay!” You ran back to the counter where Steve and Robin stood. “All clocked in, ready to attend to the crowd of customers awaiting my arrival!” With sarcasm dripping in your voice, you gestured to the empty store, grinning up at Steve.
“Yeah, how could we hold down the fort without you?” Robin gave you a wry smile before turning to the back room. “Anyhow, I am going to do some… important things… in the back. You two can hang out up here. Alone.” She whispered something to Steve, who swatted at her as she walked off.
Steve glanced at you, before turning his gaze back to the front of the store.
“So…”
You leaned forward, resting your elbows on the counter before looking back up at Steve. “So…?”
“So, uh,” He follows your movement, resting his arms on the counter, moving closer to you. He continued not to look at you, glancing around the room instead. “Would you, maybe-“
The bell on the door rang, and you perked up at the customer that had entered, turning on the customer service version of yourself to tend to the woman who’d walked in. She muttered something about needing a movie her daughter was raving about, and you managed to find what she was looking for after only five agonizingly slow minutes. You let Steve ring her up, still standing by the romcom section as she left. The second she was out the door, you grabbed a movie off the shelf and approached the counter, sliding it to Steve with a smile.
“Best movie of the year.” You said, going back to leaning over the counter, watching Steve pick up and inspect the movie you’d chosen.
“This movie is so cheesy, Y/N.” He set it back down, sliding it over to you with a roll of his eyes.
“Oh, come on, it’s so cute! One of the best romcoms to date!” You picked up the movie, carefully setting it back into its rightful spot before taking your place in front of Steve once more.
“Romcoms in general are so cheesy!” Steve argued, a smile spreading across his face. “They’re so lame, it’s always so unrealistic!”
You shook your head lightly, looking up at him. “But don’t you just love it? The idea of being wanted… being loved?”
He stared back at you, an unreadable expression on his face. It took everything in your power to keep your cool with the lack of distance between the two of you.
“Yeah. Yeah, I guess I do.” His voice was soft in a way that tugged on your heart, a half-smile on his face.
His gaze lingered on you for another couple moments, before you remembered he was going to say something.
“Hey, what were you gonna ask me before that customer came in?” You asked, very aware of the way his face grew red, moving back slightly.
“Oh, that,” He glanced around the store, suddenly looking everywhere but you. “Yeah- uh, yeah, that, uh, I was just- y’know-“
“Spit it out, dingus!” Robin’s voice made you both jump, turning to see her standing against the doorway to the back room. Steve gave her a look, and she retreated back to whatever she was doing, a wide grin on her face.
He turned back to you with a sheepish smile, laughing awkwardly.
“She’s uh- she’s quite the character, huh?” He pointed halfheartedly in the direction she went, trying to play off the tension in the room.
You didn’t say anything, instead staring at him expectantly, waiting for him to finish what he was saying. You didn’t want to get your hopes up but you couldn’t help but barely bite back a grin, your heart skipping a beat when you made eye contact with him.
“Are you… by chance… free?” He managed to spit out.
You stifled a laugh, heart beating out of your chest - you wouldn’t be surprised if Steve could hear it, too.
“Free… when?”
Steve snapped out of the daze he seemed to be in, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. “Oh- uh, 7? I’ll pick you up?”
“I’d like that.” You said, unable to contain the wide smile on your face.
“Okay. I will see you then.”
The rest of your shift went by impossibly slowly, with you and Steve catching each other staring at each other so often that Robin started to complain.
Despite how long your shift felt, the day was over before you knew it, and suddenly seven o’clock rolled around much faster than you were expecting.
You were still eyeing your appearance in the mirror when you heard a knock at the door.
“Shit!” You hissed, tossing some last-minute things into your bag and messing with your hair for the millionth time. “Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!”
Rushing out of your room to answer the door before your mom could get the chance to.
“Hey!” You exclaim, freezing in place when you took in the view of the Steve Harrington at your front door. And with flowers, too?
“I uh, brought these for you.” He held them out to you, face bright red.
“Steve.” Your voice was soft, and you took them as gently as you could, looking up at him with a smile.
His hair was meticulously done, with not a strand out of place, and he looked like he practically had hearts in his eyes.
“Hold on let me- I’m gonna get a vase for these!” You used the moment when you were turned away to let yourself grin widely, biting your lip to keep from outright squealing. Passing by your mom, you tried to be quick to avoid a drawn-out conversation about your outfit and the person at the door, filling a vase with water and dropping the flowers in it and running back to the front door.
When you looked back at him, he was still standing at the door, shifting the weight on his feet awkwardly. As you got closer, he held his hand out dramatically, which you took with equal extravagance. You closed the door behind you as he led you to his car, even opening the car door for you in the most gentlemanly fashion.
“Hmm, how very cheesy and romantic of you.” You grinned, taking a seat in the passenger side of his car.
“Well, maybe you’re rubbing off on me.” He replied with his signature smile before he closed the door and made his way to the driver’s side to drive the two of you to whatever date he had planned.
