I've been wanting to rewatch Brokeback Mountain (2004) for the past four years, but a couple of things are holding me back. 1, Seeing Heath Ledger play a well-written character brilliantly may be Too Much for me to handle after watching him in The Patriot for four years. 2. The homophobic violence isn't even the worst thing. The fear of homophobic violence and the destruction wrought on lives by that fear--and not exclusively gay peoples' lives--is. If Jack and Ennis had been together, it's entirely possible that one or more of them would have died for it, but at least they wouldn't have lived in abject misery for most of their adult lives. Brokeback is better than most mainstream queer representation that came before it, but it sure as hell is not happier than what came before.

What their zodiac sign is and whether they fit the traits associated with it: Sagittarius. Ariel is definitely lively, passionate and smart, but she is also self-centered and egocentric. Some of that comes from a place of cluelessness about her impact on other people.

What emotion is the hardest for them to deal with: Ariel is very bad at communicating with her emotions in general, but the one she deals with the worst is probably her anger. She has a habit of shutting people out, which sometimes could lead to her blowing up at whoever is causing her to feel that way, later regretting her actions.

How physically affectionate they are: Personally, I don't see her as being affectionate, but when she's somewhere private with both her girlfriends, that's definitely a different matter. Teenage hormones and all that bullshit.

A movie they could watch every day for the rest of their live: Boys Don't Cry (1999).

Are they neurodivergent in any way (autism, ADHD, mental illness, etc.)? If so, what do they have?: Ariel has antisocial personality disorder, ADHD, and Autism.

If they want any kids, and how many they’d want if they do: Ariel isn't really a fan of kids, and she can't exactly see herself having any in the future, but if we're assuming an AU, I think she would probably warm up to the idea of being Beth's stepmom, if Quinn decided to keep her.

How they lost their first tooth: Ariel noticed that her tooth was loose one day, so she spent the rest of the day poking it with her tongue, until it fell out. It didn't even hurt one bit, which Ariel found rather hilarious, because when her twin, Rachel, lost her first tooth, she actually cried for hours.

What their walk-on song would be: Because the Night by Patti Smith.

If they prefer company or time alone when they’re upset: When Ariel is upset, she prefers to have time alone, rather bottling up her emotions, doing coping mechanisms such as writing in her notebook, or blasting heavy rock music through her wireless headphones.
