Alhaitham ✧ Duke of North

✧ I think he would fall under the stereotype of a person who cares but you'd have to wait to notice it. Alhaitham, after taking over the rule of the land of Sumeru for a short time and then handing it over to someone else, would be seen as someone who was not up to the challenge. It wouldn't be true but he wouldn't care what people thought of him. That's why he would end up in the not so famous and welcoming North, cold and far from people, which in his opinion was the best place.

✧ If you came to his castle with the prospect of concluding a marriage arrangement in the future, he would consider it in pragmatic terms. He would need someone with a more optimistic outlook on life than him and who wouldn't be put off by the initial coldness, even though he wouldn't be aware of it at first. He would believe in a political marriage until he would truly fell in love with you. You could count on Kaveh (an extremely annoying friend in Duke's opinion) in winning Alhaitham's heart.

✧ You would be impressed by his intelligence. He would certainly run his dukedom with dignity. You could expect dates in the gigantic library and hours spent in his company poring over ancient manuscripts. Until you accidentally get attacked by monsters and then it turns out that he can also fight with a sword and act like a prince from fairy tales.

Pantalone ✧ Rich CEO

✧ Pantalone would be that one rich man about whom the press would always write and children would make presentations in schools about his career path. In interviews and the media, he would have a wide smile on his face that would make you squint and only his business rivals would know what he really was like.

✧ You would meet at one of the numerous banquets. You would have to be a person of incredible cleverness to even be able to negotiate with him on business matters. In addition, you would have to figure everything out on your own, because according to his experience, he would rather not do business with someone who inherited everything from others. Once you were offered a deal to get rid of your shared competition, you would start spending more time together.

✧ Crystal chandeliers, expensive drinks and long dresses. What was supposed to be just a fling would turn into a feeling fueled by the desire to be close. The wedding would be a massive event and you can be sure it would be done quite quickly but at the same time he would have thought it through carefully.

✧ I think that Pantalone would be the type of man who would jump over his wife at home and spoil her a lot, preparing new surprises and outside to the media he would only show your poker faces and successes. Power couple for sure.

Zhongli ✧ Reincarnation

✧ Zhongli's longevity would cause him pain and suffering over the years. He would be that eternally young man who would look for you in every life of his and so on for centuries. This would require him to have a lot of knowledge but with each piece of information comes a lot of experiences and not always pleasant ones.

✧ You would have been cursed long ago and sentenced to death. To save you, he would make a contract with you that you would live forever. However, this comes at a high price. You wouldn't remember any of your previous incarnations and you would be different in each life. He couldn't explain anything to you. Interestingly, Zhongli would truly love every version of you, no matter how different they were and would always somehow recognize you.

✧ Many times he promised himself that he would stop and avoid you to spare himself the pain but in the end he never succeeded. Even if it was at the end of your life, he would show up sooner or later. He spends years trying to bend the rules of his own contract and each time he hopes that he will succeed in this life.

Kirara ✧ Neko

✧ Kirara would be that always busy girl who would accidentally be in the wrong place at the wrong time. She would work for a courier company and once be late with a shipment. Just once. To make matters worse, the parcel would supposed to go to a fortune teller and she would curse her. At first everything would be normal and she would go on with another delivery. From which she would never come back because she became a cat!

✧ In this condition, she would arrive at your door. A parcel and a kitten with it. You didn't have the heart to leave her. You would take her in with the intention of giving her to a shelter but you would feel too sorry for her. Especially since from the very beginning she seemed very strangely intelligent for an animal.

✧ In time, her speech would return and she would be able to tell you a little about herself. At times she would turn back into a human with ears and sometimes with a tail. One thing was certain, whatever the fortune teller did to her, her condition would only get worse if she was away from you.

✧ You would spend a long time trying to understand her situation. After time, it would turn out that the key to breaking the curse, like in all stories, was love.

Giving them a 'strange' outfit after losing a bet

(Dainsleif, Alhaitham, Shenhe)

{☆} Dainsleif: Maid Outfit

- he is... an old man

- Dain knows that certain things are romanticized nowadays, but he doesn't really get why you want to see him in a maid outfit.

- though, seeing how it's you who requested it, he couldn't help but say yes. He did lose the bet after all.

- plus the stars that seemed to have formed in your eyes from excitement rivals the stars on his cape so... can he really just deny the request?

- for the entirety of the day, which he lends to you fully to fulfill the bet, he acted like a maid that he's used to seeing back in Khaenri'ah.

- old man even promised he'll do everything you ask him to for the entire day.

- by that he meant everything.

"Dain, honey, this isn't really necessary."

Dainsleif shook his head as he stood beside you, holding a tray he found in one of your cabinets. His posture is straight, the short frilly skirt and stockings he's using doing wonders to your imagination.

"You requested a maid outfit, it would be fitting for me to act like this," he stated. Yes, you did do that, but it was to see him in a cute maid outfit; not being taken care of like fragile glass for the whole day.

The twilight sword, who picked up a dustsweeper for a weapon now, cooked you a delicious meal for breakfast this morning; now he's insisting that he do the same for lunch. It's comforting being cared for by your lover, but you barely had to lift a finger the entire day, Dainsleif even helped you wear your own clothes!

You sighed, it's still worth it seeing Dainsleif in this outfit; the frilly skirt didn't cover anything below his knees and an adorable headband he's wearing. Yet, you feel guilty for making your lover act as a maid than a lover, even if it's because of a bet.

Placing a hand on top of Dainsleif's as he placed down the tray. "You said you'll do anything as my maid, right?"

Dainsleif's starry eyes looked back at yours, feeling your thumb caressing his rough hand. "Then I request you to have lunch with me as a lover," your free hand pulled the chair not so far away so it'll be right next to you.

Dainsleif chuckled, a smile formed onto his face. He didn't mind this whole maid thing, truly. Even if the design of the maid outfit isn't something he's used to seeing, he didn't mind taking care of you for the day; it's one of the ways to show his love for you after all.

The twilight maid stood straight as he finished preparing your meal, then sat down on the chair you offered. You couldn't help but smile as you took a spoonful of the food and directing it to Dainsleif's mouth.

"Open up, love," the blonde does as he's told, tasting the food he made himself. "Good isn't it," you said, or more like stated. Dainsleif's methods of cooking are simple for the sake of ease when adventuring, yet the results are always a delight.

"It's good."

{◇} Alhaitham: Nurse Outfit

- He was... not happy with this.

- He's not into wearing different outfits for fun, choosing to wear the same style of clothes everyday. But he knows what this is.

- Humiliating, to say the least, but he's not backing down from his words; honestly, losing to you in a bet is surprisingly more shocking than wearing the fontaine-like nurse outfit.

- a nurse? You could've chose a doctor and he would be happier. The outfit didn't even looked like an actual nurse outfit, choosing the version with a tight skirt, pastel green color, and a hat with the red plus sign signifying a hospital

- he sighed and agreed on wearing it, but only for half an hour and no pictures.

"You're stranger than a hydro slime that prefer being in the desert."

"Shh, nurses don't insult their patients, 'haitham." Alhaitham scoffed as he continued reading the words on his book, "you're not even a patient."

Closing the page to go to the next one, you leaned on his broad shoulders. "I might be one if my heart gets broken by that attitude," it was a joke, clearly. Alhaitham knew you didn't mind his distant persona, you were able to be in a long-lasting relationship with him after all.

The acting grand sage is currently sitting on your lap, a book in his hand and your hand holding onto the page waiting for him to finish his reading. His legs are cross legged, the tight skirt had preferred it and he wasn't in the mood to have his legs spread out.

Alhaitham sighd as he tapped on your hand, a signal for him to go to the next page. "Why did you even want me to wear the outfit if we could do this without one?" Alhaitham asked, or more like demanded an answer to.

Your hand slowly turned to the next page before idling on the page beside the one he's reading. "You look cute with this," you complimented, "well, cuter than usual."

The last sentence came with a chuckle, one that made Alhaitham's cold heart melt into a puddle, even if his blank expression says otherwise.

Meanwhile due to the lenght of the skirt, Alhaitham felt a particularly cold wind hits his legs and almost made him shudder, perhaps it was a bad idea having your kitchen window open.

It's not uncomfortable per se, but seeing as he's so used to using long pants, his body simply doesn't feel familiar to it. Noticing the slight shake, you began to worry.

It's been getting colder slightly in Sumeru. The rain season started and the bright and warm sun had rarely hit the city nowadays, stranding the place of the usual warmth.

Not wanting Alhaitham to get another cold wind hitting him your legs starts to shift and your hand getting him off your lap. "Hold on, I'll get a jacket for you," a push on your chest made you fall back to the couch. It's strangely attractive how strong Alhaitham's arms are.

"You made me wear this ridiculous outfit yet leaving at the same time? Since when were you this rude," Alhaitham scoffed, placing your hand back to the pages and the same position as before. The acting grand master smirked at your dumbfounded and reddening face, how couldn't he?

Coughing to relief some embarassment, your hand had slightly gripped the paper stronger than before. "Right, of course. I couldn't just leave my favorite nurse alone," you tried to regain some control back.

The two of you continued on reading after that, for every page that Alhaitham finished your fingers would delicately move on to the next page.

By all mean, Alhaitham finds it strange how you feel attracted to an outfit. Though seeing as he's the only one you want to see in this oufit, he'll count it as a win of his own.

{♤} Shenhe: Bunnygirl + Blazer overlay

- "Oh, Yelan showed me this once." "what."

- Much like Dainsleif, she doesn't really get it. Though, it is her first time wearing a blazer as an overlay for the outfit, you gave it to her saying "This'll make you look cuter than ever."

- the addition of a headband with bunny ears made her slightly confused but brushed it off since you looked happy when she wore it.

- the entire day, the two of you played card games and showed Shenhe some recent Fontaine inventions.

- It was a rather relaxing day, even if she's wearing a strange bunnygirl outfit you found being sold by a travelling fashion designer. Shenhe doesn't mind and you almost melted at the cuteness of your lover.

- the only complaints she had about the outfit is that you can't place your head on top of hers due to the headband.

Your heart is close to melting into a pile of goo as Shenhe looks at you with a neutral gaze. This isn't the first time you wanted her to wear something, though usually it's matching clothes you have for eachother.

"Just one more thing," you mumbled, taking the bunny eared headband from the counter. Shenhe leaned against your hand to match your height. Backing up from your girlfriend, you gazed at her happily.

A balance between elegance and cuteness, the blazer did well making her look sophisticated. This moment just couldn't be wasted, not even a second! You started to search for something you bought another Fontaine invention.

Shenhe turned her head to look at your direction. Though the woman perked up in curiosity as she saw you held up a box whilst yelling 'got it!'

Shenhe watches as you took a device from the box, her own curiosity beating her as she read the words on it.

"A memory preserving box of wonders," Shenhe read on the side. There was an influx of Fontaine inventors coming to Liyue for the Lantern Rite festival. In that time, you had the dazzling opportunity to buy certain clothing made by their fashion designers and some inventions they sold.

"It can take and develop a picture at real time, the result would be similair to the one you usually carry around," you answered, head on her head before realizing it's an uncomfortable position and backing away. Shenhe flinches as you placed your head beside her ear instead.

"Now smile to the camera, love," you told her, a flash of light taking over both of your eyesight as the picture was slowly being developed within the machine of the kamera.

You were still behind Shenhe, waiting for the results. Though the adepti's student turned her body around to see you on an eye-to-eye level. She carefully took off the headband and placed it on your head instead.

"Shenhe, what's wrong?" you gave a nervous laugh, fearing the headband or the outfit might've made her uncomfortable. Shenhe's beautiful eyes looked back at yours with no hint of being flustered by the distance between you.

"You didn't place your head on mine because of it, I don't like it," she admits, making you confused on wether to sigh from relief or chuckle at her. The picture from the kamera slowly developed, colors emitting from the once darkened frame.

Now with your head on top of hers, both of you appreciated at the picture. Shenhe even kept it alongside the picture she has of her old home, carrying it around everyday as a reminder of you.

SAGAU AL-HAITHAM BLURB + EXTRA KAVEH HEADCANONS

❀ synopsis: what the hell is an Akasha System?

❀ notes: I'M SORRY THAT I HAVE BEEN DEAD FOR SO LONG-

Depending on the date and time, Al-Haitham will be willing to teach you about the Akasha system and how it works. He will even use his own Akasha terminal as an example to help you understand it better. He would be a bit surprised if you ask him to teach you since, y'know, you're the Primordial one, anyone would assume you have all the knowledge of Teyvat. But since you asked nicely and he has the time he will teach you.

"Wait, it can give you the wrong information?" "Yes, that is possible." "But how?"

If you're like me who hasn't made it to the Sumeru Archon quest you will have a hard time understanding how it works. And because of that, Al-Haitham will recommend some books about the Akasha Terminals. It can range from their history to their legal terms and conditions if you are to ever own one. And if we're talking about Yandere SAGAU Al-Haitham he will use this to his advantage so he can monopolize your attention. Arranging meet-ups so that he can test you about what you've learned in the books.

In those "tests," he will become one of those teachers who will ask you questions about topics you never studied for. And then he will scold you about not studying harder and that these study sessions are going to be scheduled more frequently. If this also includes my paperwork concept in SAGAU then you might possibly disintegrate right then and there just by the mere thought of filling your schedule up even more.

Both Non-yandere and Yandere Al-Haitham won't treat you any differently just because of your title and species as a God. He does have a certain respect for you if you play your role well, but that's it. Yandere SAGAU Al-Haitham will see your status as a hindrance to your future together so he looks for alternatives. He would just try to win your favor by giving you a sense of normality whenever you're around him. It's already in his personality that he treats everyone the same, and by being greeted and treated by everyone like your God (which, in a way you kinda are??) you will grow to appreciate Al-Haitham's indifference to your title.

Yandere SAGAU Al-Haitham is greedy with his time alone with you, so he will do his best to hide the fact that you visit him from everyone in the Akademiya, hell he will hide it from everyone who lives in Sumeru. The moment someone finds out he has connections to the Almighty God? Non-stop pestering from the Paparazzi will be the result of it.

With that being said, his main threat in this situation is Kaveh.

It's not surprising to know that Kaveh is one of your more fanatic worshippers. Whenever there is a Charity hosted by you he makes it his goal to be your top donator, most of the time he doesn't because *cough* the Fatui *cough* TARTAGLIA *cough* But he ends up as one of the highest donators. Aside from donating he also dreams of being your head Architect and working alongside you. Knowing that Al-Haitham has been talking to you behind his back will definitely make him burst a blood vessel.

The argument will be heated, the apartment will be wrecked, and there will just be a lot of bad blood between the two now that you are involved. Al-Haitham thinks that Kaveh's image of you is idealistic and he doesn't see the real version of you, while Kaveh thinks that Al-Haitham is being selfish about your time and that it's not fair that he has you all to himself.

The moment Kaveh finds out about the unfair test and study sessions Al-Haitham offers to you Kaveh will propose to be your second tutor, which Al-Haitham will strive to take down. If you ever agreed Kaveh will be overjoyed while Al-Haitham will be distraught. You already have him as your tutor, why do you need him?

Pro tip if you're ever in a SAGAU scenario: Don't visit Sumeru. Just don't.

Right when you had finally managed to doze off after at least a day of staying awake in the basement, you heard the door open, snapping your sleepiness in two. It was so dark, you could hardly see who was coming from the basement, but honestly, you'd prefer it to be Kaveh.

That wasn't to say you liked either of them. Kaveh was constantly up in your personal space, coddling you in a way that could only be described as humiliating, while Alhaitham... was just plain scary.

Kaveh was annoying, but it'd never compare to Alhaitham's calculating, cold eyes.

It felt like he could read your mind, but you could never tell what he was thinking. That was the scariest part of all.

"Oh, my darling... what did he do to you?"

Kaveh. You sighed with relief, but that relief didn't last long, as he was rushing down the stairs and bringing you into a sharp hug. You whined when his arms brushed with your ribcage, only for him to frantically pull away.

He looked genuinely worried. Maybe even a little panicked. You thought it'd be nice to know he cares, but the truth was, he doesn't. He'd rather you have these bruises and broken ribs than even consider the possibility of you leaving.

That was one of the few things Alhaitham and Kaveh could seem to agree on. Except Kaveh at least pretended to care.

Well, not all the time. After you had learnt your lesson, Alhaitham would take care of you, but you could never relax in his presence, knowing one wrong move and he'd be giving you that terrifying gaze again. A warning.

Hands cupping your cheeks, Kaveh's thumb brushed some of your upcoming tears away, clicking his tongue. "I'm so sorry, dear. Let's get you out of here."

Of course, you obeyed. You put all your weight on him, letting him practically carry you out of the basement. You kept stumbling over each step of the stairs, and if it weren't for Kaveh, you would've collapsed.

"Here you go... lie right here, I'm going to make you some food." Kaveh kissed your forehead after laying you on the couch. "Poor thing... I swear I'm going to kill him..."

You watched him scurry into the kitchen urgently, before shutting your eyes, still feeling tired. At least this time, you felt somewhat safer.

Kaveh showed anger easier than Alhaitham did, but his punishments were a lot more different than Alhaitham's versions of 'discipline'.

Not long after, you heard Kaveh's footsteps back in the room, carrying a tray of food that smelled delicious. You couldn't help but smile, opening your eyes just enough to see him.

Kaveh knelt in front of you, showing he made soup. He blew on the spoon gently, then put his hand under it to bring to your lips.

Smile disappearing, you said, "I can feed myself...."

He tutted. "You're covered in bruises and can hardly stand, love. Did he really do all of this to you? What on earth happened while I was gone..." He practically shoved the spoon in your mouth before scooping up a new spoonful of soup to repeat the action.

You tried to push his hand away, but he was too quick. You barely had any strength left, so he easily caught hold of your wrists, pushing the spoon in your mouth.

"Eat," he ordered. "Please."

"...fine." You kept letting him spoonfeed you, until you felt tired. He laid you back down and put a blanket over you, kissing the side of your head.

He watched you fall asleep, running his fingers through your hair and muttering under his breath things you didn't try to strain to hear.

You just wanted to sleep, for once not finding it difficult to with his eyes piercing holes through you.

...

You woke up to the familiar sound of them arguing.

"Two days. Two days I'm gone and you can't control yourself?!"

"I can control myself much better than you can. Those bruises are just from them falling down the stairs. I didn't deliberately cause them, so you can stop needlessly yelling."

"I can't believe you! You threw them down the stairs?! How do you think that is excusable?!"

His gaze flickered over to you to see you were awake. He pushed past an angry Kaveh and crouched to meet your level on the couch, running the back of his hand over a bruise on your face. His cold hands felt oddly soothing on your skin, so you leaned in, albeit hesitantly.

Crossing his arms, Kaveh said, "Don't pretend like you care about them now! You were complaining about how scared they were of you a few days ago. Have you ever considered why?!"

"They avoid you too, don't act like they think you're an angel here, either." Alhaitham didn't even bother looking at Kaveh, his eyes still on you as he looked over your bruises, the ones he caused.

You held back a whimper as he ran his finger over your jawline, making you shiver.

"I'll draw them a bath." With that, Alhaitham stood up and proceeded down the hallway.

Though Kaveh groaned, he didn't say anything further to the scribe. Instead, he sat down beside you and started massaging your shoulder, arm wrapped around you to do so. "I'm sorry about him... next time I go to the desert, I'll just take you with me."

You lit up at that thought. A new opportunity to escape?

You were sure Kaveh was just saying the first thing that popped into his mind, as he did often, but even if he were to follow through with that... you doubted Alhaitham would let that happen.

Alhaitham came back soon, holding out his hand to you. Just as you were about to take it, Kaveh slapped it away.

"I can carry them. You've done enough."

Raising an unimpressed brow, Alhaitham said, "You can't even carry your own claymore." With that, he picked you up, quietly shushing you when you yelped. "I know it hurts. I didn't mean to give you so many bruises. That was my mistake."

A loud huff came from Kaveh. "So you aren't even going to try and apologize or seem sorry?"

Alhaitham turned to him, and you could see the corners of his mouth twitch. "They tried escaping. Your 'punishments' are hardly even that. Do you think making them sit in a corner for a few minutes will make them think about their actions? They aren't a child."

He made another offended noise. "Yeah, well they aren't a dog, but you seem keen on treating them like one!"

"What are you implying?"

"You don't think of them as human! If you did, you'd understand that throwing someone down a basement is awful!"

"If you're going to bicker at me over practically nothing, I suggest you don't follow us." Alhaitham carried you into the bathroom, and unsurprisingly, Kaveh trailed behind. Alhaitham sat you on the closed toilet seat and began stripping your clothes.

It wasn't strange to watch them fight, it was the most normal thing here, honestly. You always gained a headache listening to them argue back and forth, especially over you.

As Alhaitham got your clothes off, his eyes lingered more on the bruises. He ran his thumb over the largest bruise that lingered on your hip. You tried examining his expression to tell what he was feeling. He didn't look sorry, that was all you knew.

"I doubt they're in the mood for what ever demented thing you want to do to them," Kaveh growled.

He hummed smugly. "I could say the same thing to you. You're completely red in the face."

"Because you piss me off! Move aside." He shoved Alhaitham away from you, then grabbed both of your hands to help you in the tub. He helped slowly get you in, murmuring, "There you go, my dear... is it warm enough?"

Shaking your head, you answered quietly, "It's fine... thank you."

Kaveh glared at Alhaitham. "At least you did something right."

"Please," you muttered, looking down at your reflection in the water, "stop arguing. Just... for now. Please."

Both men shared a look, before nodding. Alhaitham sighed and started helping you wash, while Kaveh sat beside you, stroking your hair. You appreciated the gesture, but you still found it difficult to relax.

"How are you doing, love?" Alhaitham asked, keeping his voice low.

You forced a smile. "I'm fine... thank you for the bath. I'm feeling a lot better now." Lies, but if you told them the truth, Kaveh would just grow angrier at Alhaitham, and Alhaitham would... well, you weren't too sure. Again, it was hard to read him.

Kaveh was the first to help you out of the tub, while Alhaitham grabbed a towel and wrapped you in it, drying you off.

Once you were dry, Alhaitham got the robe and put it on you himself. It was one of his robes he hardly wore, but it still smelled like him. In your worst moments, you admitted you did find his smell comforting.

As they led you out-- Kaveh supporting you with an arm around your shoulders, and Alhaitham with a hand on your waist-- Kaveh said, "We should take them to the couch. I doubt the last thing they want to do is be trapped in your room again."

"Please. You just don't want them anywhere near me," Alhaitham uttered.

With a deadpan stare, Kaveh responded sarcastically, "Huh, I wonder what made you think that."

You make a displeased grumble to let them know they're arguing again. Luckily, for once, they seem to stop themselves again. "I... I'm fine wherever... it's no big deal..."

Once again, they exchanged a glance, then Kaveh announced, "Couch it is."

Alhaitham scoffed, but didn't complain any further. He watched Kaveh go to make you a makeshift bed on said couch, while he kept his hold onto you, tightening his arm around your waist. It was possessive, but nothing you weren't used to.

"There! Is this okay, my dear?" Kaveh scuttled back to you, looking at you for approval, as he typically did.

You nodded. "It's lovely... thank you."

He smiled at your gratitude, then kissed your forehead. "Is there anything else you need?"

"No, I'm good. Thank you again."

Clearing his throat, Alhaitham said, "Well, I'm sure you're tired. Come here." He sat down on the couch and gestured to his lap, to which you obeyed, crawling in his lap, as much as your body still ached.

Kaveh narrowed his eyes. "Hey! What makes you think you have the right--" He cut himself off when he saw you give him a pleading look to stop. It was hard to, considering the smug look Alhaitham had. He was enjoying this.

You rested your head on his shoulder, closing your eyes. You felt Kaveh's weight dip in the couch, and his arm wrap around you as much as he could, considering Alhaitham was right there.

This was one of the rare moments they were physically close to each other, only when it involved you.

Alhaitham rubbed circles into your back. "Are you tired, darling?"

"Um... a little." You nodded against his chest.

"Then you can go to sleep. I love you."

Kaveh was quick to add, "And I love you too."

You found yourself slowly falling asleep with that painful knowledge, that they still loved you. As long as they loved you, they'd never let you go, and... it's been so long that you honestly don't know if that time will ever come. Likely not.

So you do the only thing you could and adjusted your position more comfortably. You laid your head in Alhaitham's lap, and the rest of you on Kaveh's lap.

For just a couple of hours, you could pretend this is all normal.

How things I make for my HC end up being in Genshin

I will share with you a matter of great pride for me ♥ I've wanted to write a post like this for quite some time but there was never enough time.

Some of you might be familiar with my Genshin OC Hette (eventually known also as Vesna and Silver). I created her sometime during Year 1 of Genshin and her story started and was meant to remain in Mondstadt first. But as my preferences changed (the interaction target moved from Diluc to Zhongli), her story just naturally, in small chunks, progressed from Mond to Liyue. I didn't rewrite it, I simply continued. It was incredibly fun to watch as I had no idea how far her story would actually go.

But the probably most amusing thing on this journey was watching, how things I made for Hette and her story, with no or very vague base in the lore at THAT time, ended up happening or being verified by the game not so long after. Some of them visual, some in worldbuilding and some ABSURDLY and unbelievably accurately happened in the story. My biggest trophy is that I basically came up with whole Furina's story concept long before Fontaine aired. If you're interested, just keep reading ♥

Hette's green patterns

The first thing that comes to my mind are the green patterns (and palette) on Hette's scarf and coat-thingy. We didn't even have Inazuma when I created them. What I had in mind was that she used to study botanics in Sumeru and I wanted it so seem somewhat oriental. Well, as things have it, when we got the Sumeru academia, we learned that all students wear berets with lining color specific to their darshan. Here's the beret for the Amurta darshan which would naturally include Hette's botanics studies:

It just seriously looks like she just loyally wears an Amurta scarf. Thanks, lore ♥

2. Outfit

Speaking of clothes, let's focus on the outfit as a whole. When Genshin first teased Collei's outfit, it instantly became one of my fav designs in Genshin. And there was no wonder, I CLEARLY have a type. Just look at the similarity and placement of design elements (even the ombre on tights xD). Hette was created roughly one year prior Collei's first reveal - outfit-wise, with no basis for future Sumeru visuals. I wanted to combine her being from Mondstadt with influence from her studies in Sumeru. Well, and as coincidence has it, Collei is from Sumeru, influenced by Mondstadt. Same design concept.

3. Silver's palette

Since we're at visuals now, I will go fast forward to Silver. If Hette is a Bulbasaur, Silver is Venusaur. She's a sword user with affiliation for Dendro.

Now if you think she looks like fem version of Alhaitham, with his secondary blue color substitued with her magenta, you're not wrong. She totally does. Only I designed her sometime in March/April 2022 while the first leaks of Haitham's didn't come sooner than July of the same year.

4. Time and leylines

When I started with Hette's story, I made few blind reaches with the worldbuilding. I wanted her to communicate with slimes, I decided it was plausible for the slimes to reside in leylines and as such her ability needed to use leylines in a deeper sense than your regular catalyst mage. She's not OP but she has this niche ability to reach into leylines. After the moonchase festival, I yolo decided I wanted to send her back in time to meet the adepti of old (also would give her the much needed knowledge of Morax). There was no known time travel nor time relativity in Genshin by then so this was the most baseless move I ever did with my lore. I used her leyline ability to make the accidental time travel - she would drop back in time when using her ability near leyline disorder. Meaning I decided to connect Genshin time with Leylines.

The next Genshin update gave us Raiden's second story quest which confirmed both time relativity and its connection to leylines. Pretty wow moment for me.

5. Zhongli pulling his fav peeps from different spaces

This one is still insanely riddiculous to me. So you know how Hette involuntarilly traveled back in time. Long story short, MANY things happened there but eventually she got sucked in the time stream again and had the choice to attempt to move back to her original time. And she did just that. However, when she reached the moment she believed lead to her OG time, she lacked the ability to crack from the leyline space back to the normal one. However, dendro slimes see her there and they manage to call Zhongli to help. That's where I made another completely baseless move and had him pull Hette out of the leyline space using his powers.

What happened two updates after I estabilished this fact? Yes, this.

Different space? Checked. Zhongli pulling someone out? Checked. HOW THE HELL???

6. THE WHOLE FURINA THING

You think this is crazy coincidence? Weeeelll, wait till you hear this one. When Hette's back in the early Archon War era, she has her Vision still with her, in time of no Visions. In another baseless move, I decided that her Vision would thus have strongly amplified powers, almost akin to a Gnosis. This eventually leads to her being mistaken for a god. Trying to not bring attention to her time travel (to not change anything), she has to roll with this claim. She ends up being part of the adepti but she doesn't engage with them in fear of being revealed. Meanwhile common people revere her so there is this invisible wall between her and others, she's lonely and this act is extremely painful for her. She's not aging at this point because the dendro is so strong with her it just keeps instantly correcting her. And she has no idea how long she'll have to keep it up.

SOUNDS FAMILIAR???

Zhongli, who got to meet her in the future(Hette's original time) had no idea about this connection between her and the weird god who used to fight alongside them for a brief time in the past. He figures out this connection when he realizes Hette was sucked in by the Leylines. So you have this god figure learning that a mere mortal was forced to play a god role in a lonely selfless act and said god figure is pained by that realization.

SOUNDS FAMILIAR??????

(And yes, I estabilished this headcanon over a year before Fontaine came).

For the record, Furina had it worse. She was truly alone. In Hette's case (or Vesna's, that's the name she went by back then), she had the luck of Marchosius being too people-person (bear) and too nosy. He eventually got her to spill the beans and confide in him. Ever since then, he kept mentoring her in a way, looking out for her and providing moral support. Which is the only reason she didn't go insane.

7. One more outfit thingy

So we estabilished Hette traveled there and back again in time, after which she becomes who I call Silver. An identity she estabilishes because she feels her Hette self is dead and doesn't want to have anything to do with her Vesna self. But a lot of leyline stuff happened, right.

When I was designing her outfit, I wanted to put a pattern on her gray sleeves. I chose hollow circles with dots because this has been one of my fav designs for a looong time, there was no real underlying thought for it. And as far as I knew, it had never been used in Genshin in any way (and they have a lot of symbols there).

Well, guess where the hollow circle with a dot appeared for the first time in Genshin? If it isn't Irminsul, aka the tree which's roots are the FRICKING LEYLINES which Hette can enter...?

For the record, I later realized Paimon has something a little similar - a big star and half a circle around it in a constellation on her cape. But Paimon is widely theorized to be affiliated with time. Time is somehow connected to the leylines so the funny coincidence still stands.

Hi, this is not an ask, I just want to praise your writing (and maybe rant a little if you don't mind) but I feel like this message of mine is not appropiate to be left in the comments. So I'll left it here, do to it as you will!

I've truly fallen in love, with your Prince!Alhaitham series! I've already read all the drabbles you made and I'm so fascinated with all the stories, especially how you made and write the main couple's dynamics different with each roles of the MC/Reader.

I'm regretting my choice in the poll a bit though, my most favorite after reading all drabbles is the Head Advisor one, and my choice in the poll are the witch with true bloodline just because I know too little about the storylines at first. 😞

Even if I know one changed vote for me isn't going to make a lot of difference in the whole precentages...

As for why I love the Head Advisor one the most, mainly it's as I said, their dynamics. ✨

I've been looking for this kind of dynamics for so long. What caught me at furst is that, different from the other routes, you started the drabble with the Reader already obsessed with Alhaitham but still holding herself back to not cross too many boundaries and still respect his personal space, somewhat.

I frequently read the trope where the ML is cursed/have an unfortunate ability of attracting too much unwanted attention/just don't want the attention, and I get the reason why the MC is made to be an exception to that curse/attraction so the story will progress. But that kind of trope gets repetitive and then becomes boring from time to time.

Also, its not like the Head Advisor is just so obsessed with Prince Alhaitham to the point of neglecting/not paying attention to everything around her. I love it more that you showed a new side, the caring side, of the "King Snake"-villainess, as Cyno put it, around the General. MC/Reader being worried about Cyno's wellbeing is just... 🥰

Oh! And the MC/Reader's cute, a little oblivious side, despite being potrayed as a capable and intelligent person/witch, is just simply endearing and so adorable, and that aspect just added more to her charm. 😍

As for Alhaitham, you potrayed him so well too. Still calculating as ever and his self-control while being affected by aphrodisiacs... ❤️

Maybe this is just my delusion, but the outright kind of evil/manipulative (and hot in this case) implication behind his intention in asking the MC/Reader about the effects of someone else aphrosidiacs on her 😳

And, there can be insinuated a possible scenario of a jealous prince seeing the interaction of his Head Advisor with the General, though this is probably just me being delusional(again).

Though I'm a bit sad that the Head Advisor route isn't going to be adapted into a fic, I'm already pretty satisfied after reading "Deserving" (supposedly the general ending of the main storyline right?).

I really, really loved this ask! Tbh, when I first started my Prince!AlHaitham drabble, it was just a simple brainrot that got so much traction, I felt I had to keep going. I thought about how could I write my own version of Al haitham, as a prince, and still have him in character.

What would his dynamic be with the reader? Well, that depends on who they are. Which I put a poll about and multiple ideas sprouted in my head. Also, the Head Advisor!reader was also my favorite to write out of all of them, but maybe that's bc of the drama of the scene I wrote out 😅😅😅.

The reason I have a 'canon' storyline is because I have an actual story I want to tell, and though that takes time and editing and planning, I'm excited to be working on it and sharing it with you all! There's this whole au universe I've made up, characters to implement, plotlines (like what is up with alhaitham's curse, hm?) And so much more. Genshin has me in a choke hold so there will be plenty more in the future of this blog.

And do not fret beloved. While I dont want to overwhelm myself, I'm really digging the idea of having different routes for the different reader. Like the general story, but affected and influenced by the different readers ive written about. But that'll be in the future possibly, for now I can stick with drabbles and brainrots 😅😔.

Nilou, Cyno, and Candace First Impressions

Because it wasn’t enough that we’re getting three new characters in version 3.0, we’re getting three more in version 3.1 apparently. How I’m going to keep up with all of them, I have no idea, but that’s besides the point. Let’s have a look at them.

We’ve already seen two of the three characters in previous trailers and promotional content for Sumeru, and Nilou is one of them. It’s nice to see another Hydro character as the element is currently underrepresented in Genshin’s roster (currently we have seven Hydro characters while Pyro, Cryo, and Electro all have 10, and Electro is soon to get an eleventh!). I have no idea what her weapon is going to be, but I really hope it’s not another catalyst, seeing as how we already have three of those. What I’d really like to see is a Claymore, but I highly doubt that’s the case.

I don’t have any strong opinions about her character design, but I do think it’s very good. I like that she has red hair; Genshin Impact has been sorely lacking in red-haired girls for a long time and given my apparent fascination with such girls as anime protagonists (I quite liked The Ancient Magus’ Bride and Snow White With the Red Hair) it’s no wonder why Nilou appeals to me.

The second character we’ve already since hints of before, and the first of the Sumeru characters that hail from the desert region. Obviously lots of ancient Egyptian and pharaoh vibes from Cyno here, who appears to be an Electro polearm user. Not a bad combo, but there’s no potential for a missed opportunity here since Electro already has its bases covered when it comes to weapon variety. According to the HoYoLAB post, Cyno is an arbiter of sorts, in that he regularly deals with researchers who have broken the law in some way regarding their work. And he’s pretty ruthless about it, too. Sounds awesome.

I really like this character design, it seems pretty badass. Probably something to do with the white hair contrasting with the darkness of the rest of his outfit. It’s also good that we’re starting to see more characters who aren’t of pasty white complexion, although... it could still be done better. I’m gonna take an aside to rant about Genshin Impact’s lack of diversity here.

It’s no secret that Genshin Impact has an abundance of white people, and we all knew that wasn’t going to change with Sumeru, despite it being the nation that’s literally inspired by Africa. Maybe HoYoverse isn’t interested in making characters of color, or maybe they think that such characters won’t sell Genesis Crystals. Given the popularity of characters like Nessa from Pokemon, this is certainly wrong. Seriously, just make the girls hot and nobody except the most insecure manosphere losers will give a shit what their skin color is.

Desert-dwelling Sumeru characters are at least logically coherent, if nothing else. It makes sense that the people who are exposed to the sun constantly would have darker skin, so HoYoverse gets a little credit for that, at least. It’s just a shame that we’ll most likely never get characters with darker skin tones, since these people treat white like it’s the default skin color. Rant over.

And here we have Candace, who came as a complete surprise to me. I was expecting that we’d see Alhaitham or maybe Dehya this next update, but apparently not. Candace is just as exciting though, but for different reasons.

She’s got the same energy as Cyno in her character design, which seems very fitting considering what kind of character she is, but it seems slightly... off to me. Something tells me that her outfit was originally designed to be somewhat more revealing and was thus censored in a couple ways so as not to be too hot for Genshin Impact. It’s not like it ruins the design or anything, and I can’t exactly prove that this is the case, it’s just a feeling.

I believe this is the first character we’ve had with heterochromia, which is pretty cool. It’s a popular feature to use in fantasy character designs because it adds a layer of variety and I think it’s done pretty well here.

One of the aspects about Candace I’m most excited for is that she appears to be a Hydro polearm user, which we don’t currently have in Genshin Impact. We’re one step closer to having complete coverage of every element/weapon combination in the game. She notably also has a shield, which isn’t going to be a unique piece of equipment of course but that’s also something we haven’t seen in a Genshin character yet, and it probably features in her abilities to some degree. That will be really interesting to see, I think.

Candace also sounds like she’d be really powerful lore-wise, since she’s described as having received the blessing of the gods and being able to conjure up an entire sandstorm. She’s fiercely protective of her village, but also gentle and kind to those without ill intent. I’m very interested to find out more about her because she sounds like such a cool character. I hope her gameplay does the lore justice.

Definitely very happy with this batch of characters, I’m very excited for Cyno and Candace in particular because they seem like they’d be right up my alley and their character designs are fucking rad. Sumeru is going to be a wild ride with all these new characters coming out in quick succession, and I am absolutely here for it.

FRRR. altho i'm not a day 1 player, i started genshin somewhat early on, but it always bothered me when they did that like the future players deserve to know this bit of lore happened 😭 and especially when the events had free weapons too! like festering desire in v1.2 <//3 i think they could've kept the events in the same way they do story quests?? claim a few keys and unlock thru the events you may have missed in the past for a few days or a week... but whatever can we do?? sigh. really sorry you had to watch albedo and subject 2's beef on youtube tho <//3 such great lore that new players couldn't experience first-hand because of that 😔

Confession headcanons 2

This was written around the 3.1 version of the game so characters' personalities and information about Sumeru might differ today.

Tighnari

✧ To say Tighnari wasn't happy with your behaviour would be an understatement. When he found out that you decided to eliminate the withering part of the forest yourself and you were injured, he was furious. He yelled at you first. Soon after, however, he calmed down.

✧ He didn't say anything the whole time he was tending your wound. At first you tried to explain yourself but you saw that he didn't want to listen to you. There was only dead silence.

✧ Collei gently investigated things between the two of you in the following days. She was also the one who came to change your bandages. You were very concerned that Tighnari didn't come to see you even once during your recovery. He made an ointment for you but he never came with it himself.

✧ Once you felt well enough to be able to stand on your own feet, you decided to talk to your friend. He received you and listened to you. However, he couldn't forgive you for putting your health at risk. He asked you to tell him why you didn't ask other forest rangers for help. You were afraid to tell him the truth. But what scared you more was the thought that he would fire you and you'd never see him again. So you did it.

✧ When you said it was because you wanted him to finally appreciate you because you fell in love with him, he didn't say anything for a moment. Only in retrospect did you realize how stupid you were. So you waited with your heart pounding for what he would say.

✧ What give Tighnari were his ears. He moved them towards you. After being with him for a long time, you were able to read his signals. He was happy with the confession. The boy didn't say anything for a moment. He walked over to you, pushed your hair out of your face and made you promise never to scare him like that again. He was mercilessly worried. As you nodded your head, he placed a soft kiss on your lips.

✧ Somewhere from the house next door, you could hear Collei's excited squeal. She was bad at pretending she didn't know anything in the days that followed.

✧ You have been punished for insubordination however. Even as Tighnari's girlfriend, you won't get a adventage. He won't tell you that he planned to give you a month to check the lamps and instead you got a week...

Alhaitham

✧ His confession was unplanned and somehow forced by an unfavorable turn of events.

✧ When you told him you only had a few minutes to run, he looked at you with disgust. How did you know he'd be here at this time? He didn't tell you anything about trying to steal forbidden books from the library. And you showed up there in the middle of the night.

✧ You led him towards a secret passage. Or at least that's what you thought it was. When he asked you why he should trust you, you were stunned. You thought you knew him better. And he was afraid that you would hand him over to your enemies. Hearing footsteps, you told him he had no choice anyway. So he followed you, clutching a bag of valuable information.

✧ When he found the guards at the entrance, he was ready to blame you. Until you started using your vision, screaming for him to run. A curtain of water covered his figure. The Akademiya couldn't find out that he had robbed them, otherwise it was all for nothing. Eventually, however, the man pulled you by the hand, saving your life at the last moment. Now he really believed you.

✧ You almost made it past the last patrol under the cover of night. As you mingled with a group of people having fun, the chase eyed you suspiciously. At that moment, only one thing came to mind. Saying a silent apology, you pulled Alhaitham's lips to yours. You drowned in a colorful, slightly drunk group of party people. To your surprise, the man didn't stop kissing you even after the pursuers left. He pulled you to him again.

✧ On the way to the port of Ormos, you asked him if those kisses meant something. He answered the question with a question: did you want them to be something more? He never planned to fall in love with you and has never been in a normal relationship, but he's willing to try for you.

Dehya

✧ Serving the Homayani family, it was not difficult to run into Dehya more and more often. She seemed to be an even better person each time. Her strength and devotion to Dunyarzad particularly touched you.

✧ Dehya as an intelligent woman realized her feelings before you realized yours. But she preferred to wait. After all, she was supposed to leave here in a while. Was it wise to associate with anyone?

✧ As the head cook, you always managed to leave some baked goods for her or cook her favorite dish on the side. It has become a tradition to such an extent that when she didn't find you in the kitchen one time, she immediately knew something was wrong. She asked the helpers, who said that you felt worse and went back to your little room.

✧ When you didn't answer her knock on the door, she decided to just come in. The sight of you, unable to move, terrified her. She knew the sight of those scales. Words stuck down your throat. She had never seen them pn you before because you hid them so well under your uniform. Dunyarzad also suffered from Eleazar, so she couldn't believe she hadn't noticed sooner.

✧ Despite your protests, she asked her employer to stay at the mansion today and spend the rest of her day looking after you. She didn't tell your secret to anyone.

✧ She asked how much time do you have left. However, she had a feeling that whatever you answered, she would consider it too small a number. It was the first time you saw Dehya shed a tear. You wiped it with your hand, saying that sadness doesn't suit her.

✧ This evening she decided to confess her feelings to you. You protested that your illness would only make her suffer. She said she didn't care. All that mattered was whether you felt what she felt. You confessed your love to her, she kissed your forehead, after which she fell asleep in your arms.
