One of the things about Capitano that really stood out to me is how... nice he is. And it doesn't feel like an abrupt twist at all because it brings sense to the earlier information we had on him. His fame and how Fatui agent Viktor would much rather work under him if given the choice. A figure who actually cares about the modus oparandi, or more specifically, whether it is fair and honorable to other parties or not is naturally a more trustworthy leader as opposed to one who doesn't care about methodology so long as it gets the work done. Of course, adherence to certain principles is bound to slow down progress and for a faction like the Fatui, that is a handicap.

Despite this, the soldiers under Capitano's leadership trust him immensely. Even someone like Arlecchino respects him, “independent of the power he possesses” — this suggests that while Capitano's strength is impressive, his personality is even more impactful. He's also reasonable and doesn't misuse his strength, evidenced by his encounter with Varka and his unwillingness to ambush Mavuika in her weakened state.

Perhaps it's the marginal overuse of the ‘righteous’ character (often rather carelessly) which has created a certain situation, wherein we are often more attracted to morally gray characters (although not really comprehending the nuances well all the time). Of course, it's still a bit early to make a definitive conclusion but, this portrayal of the ‘righteous’ character through Capitano is something I find really refreshing.

bakugo scoffs, a slight ‘tsk’ as he rolls his eyes at the guy trying to hit on you at the bar. his gaze is dead-set on you across the room, watching in case the guy attempts anything funny. kirishima knows what’s going on, eyeing him from the side.

it’s that weird in-between of trying to find what you are to each other again—stuck in the middle of being friends and ex-lovers.

acting on it would be wrong.

he doesn’t have that right anymore.

he stews in his feelings, swallowing them with each sip of his drink. then he gets another glass, grumbling when kirishima elbows him to join in their conversation.

bakugo frowns all the way through.

he watches you smile at the guy (only politely, he hopes), the side of your cheek barely lifting and the corner of your eye untouched. it’s not the way you used to smile at him.

the conversation at his table goes on simultaneously with yours across the room, and he’s neither here nor there—part of both conversations, but not. it’s only when you shake your head, moving your hand in a gesture of ‘no, thanks’ that he abruptly looks away.

he focuses elsewhere: mina’s animated storytelling, the ice melting in his drink, your perfume the moment you’re slipping in the booth next to him. it’s unintentional, he knows—your thigh brushing against his, fingertips slightly touching as you set down your drink.

then you smile at him, a bit shy and apologetic, but friendly still. the corners of your eyes crease.

he downs his drink.

you’re better at this than he is—compartmentalizing feelings and seeing past his faults. always have been.

if he had only been more—

no. it wouldn’t be fair; he chose this for the both of you.

Yusei is just....so kidnap-able.

Man either has bad tinnitus or just out-right hearing loss from years of working on engines with zero ear protection. We know this for two reasons: 1. When he's working on his bike and revs the engine, Saiga, Yanagi, and Himuro all flinch and cover their ears and Yusei...doesn't so much as bat an eye. and 2. When he's leaving to steal his bike back, Saiga hears when Ushio revs his engine from inside a building on the second story and Yusei? Normally when one hears an engine on an otherwise deserted street, one naturally turns to see the source of the noise. Yusei does not. The street is freaking empty, and somehow he doesn't notice the only vehicle that is clearly going slow enough to not pass him by. (And it's not like Ushio is just too far away to hear. He's not. He's shown to be not that far behind. And he's on a freaking loud motorcycle. Most people would notice that.)

Look, we all know Yusei would win in a fight, but not if he doesn't notice his assailant sneaking up behind him because he can't hear them before he gets whacked in the head.

In conclusion, it is very little wonder that he ends up getting kidnapped in canon.

Clora having an adorable mother and the world's most terrifying father makes so much sense. She's inquisitive, strong, brave and scary in her own right like her dad and yet she's small, adorable, sweet and a little naive like her mom, whom she looks just like. It makes sense.

Which means that Sebastian is in for it big time when they're older and it's time to ask for her hand. It's the 1800's, the late 1800's so technically he doesn't have to, Clora says, but Sebastian has met Clive and he knows that if he marries Clora and doesn't ask before hand for her fathers blessing that he might go mysteriously missing or be hit by a curse that causes erectile dysfunction. Which is so much worse.

Doesn't stop him from having a few nervous breakdowns, hyperventilating just a little bit, crying to Ominis that he thinks it's coming, the tea cup with the grimm truly was an omen and his time has come to die.

But, of course, when he asks Clive all he is met with is a long silent stare.

"My daughter has already informed me of your future nuptials. I don't understand why you're here."

Clive knows he doesn't need anyone asking for permission to marry his darling daughter, she's just like him she can definitely take care of herself. Also, I bet he's nicer than he lets on, his wife is the one to actually watch out for.

He understands this, knows this and gets that his wife is exactly like her parents and that maybe he has bit off more than he could chew.
