If I had to introduce my hometown, Fujian Province, it's a quiet city with clean air and few people. Many people come to visit because the mountains and the lakes are beautiful. When I think about nature, I start missing my hometown. At school, I was the head of the student council's entertainment department. I might look like a serious person since the members are so active and mischievous, but I'm also a fun person. Times when I feel like we’re one team are when you know what the others are thinking just by the look in their eyes and, when we dance and the movements are 'synchronised'. WayV to me is the comfort of being able to share everything with each other. All the members worry a lot about music so a lot of ideas come out every time we hear new music. It is certainly an advantage that all seven have a lot of desire. I have a bright young voice, but my desire as a vocalist is to have a thicker and more mature voice these days. — Winwin A quiet presence, Winwin — In the reality show <Dream Plan>, mingling well with the elders in the village was impressive. Special trick behind it was thanking them for looking out for me! Since they were all kind natured, I guess treating them with sincerity looked good. When Lucas and I visited their home, we got served a meal and received a warm welcome. A performance video of Ten and I has been released. As a dancer, Ten is a member whose strength is being versatile. He helps the members at dance practices a lot. I’ve learned dancing in a special dance school. At the time I was the shortest and least talkative kid until I grew taller in high school. I’ve spent most of the time practicing alone. Chinese dance is similar to modern dance mixed with ballet. Learning the choreography is fast and it’s an advantage to be skillful in tumbling. I would like to properly showcase a modern dance at a concert someday. When I’m on the stage what I care about the most is my gestures and facial expression. During ‘Take Off’ promotions, the gestures and facial expressions I did during my part varied from stage to stage. I hear that I’m ‘pure’ a lot. A new charm that I want to have: our fans call me ‘Baby Chick’. I want to showcase more of an ‘eagle’ image, so I cut my hair short. Isn’t it similar to Park Saeroy (laugh). The reason why I went to Beijing on my own as a middle school student seems to be fate. I passed my exams without much determination, left my hometown and went to school in Beijing where I was noticed and then debuted. Coincidence became fate. To me WayV is a path that we’re talking together, a team with a lot of growth potential. I’d like it if the younger members came to me whenever they need someone. I feel our fans love and support the most when: I’m always amazed and grateful for our fans hearts. All of the people who always look out for us even when we’re not promoting any albums and who support us are an immense source of strength. Ten who is curious about what's next rather than what’s now — The secret to adapting well everywhere is attending an international school. I had friends of various nationalities and I also traveled a lot. Wherever I went, I went to see the common [places] first. Learning an unfamiliar culture is fun. I’m learning Thai, English, Korean, Japanese and now working hard at learning Chinese. I memorize expressions that I can use while watching Chinese variety shows and dramas. Although it's still difficult to read the buzzwords and hanja. The most important thing as a performer, and what makes you an outstanding dancer, is to have your own style while not being trapped by masculinity and femininity. I am different now from a few years ago and I'm trying to challenge myself by being flexible in various aspects. What I've learned since debut is, in the case of WayV, that when you work with various genres the main concern is the vocal style and with SuperM, I learned about the importance of performance through the activities [we did]. 'It's important to dance well, but you must also have your own [style]', 'think about what you want to express in front of the camera, but you must be faithful to your feelings on every stage in order to develop [yourself]' is the advice I received from the Hyungs (Baekhyun, Kai, Taemin). For the dance video that I did together with Winwin, the concept, music, settings, and outfits were all decided by us together without the company's advice. I came to realize the difficulties of being a staff member (laughs). I can [now] see the wider picture and more details. I like poetry too. I think poetry expresses emotions. I hope I could be a person who can leave a good impact on others. WayV to me is just like a family who always does everything together and takes care of each other asking ‘have you already eaten?’. Everyone has an open mind to try and accept new challenges. During the 'Moonwalk' promotion period, I was kinda surprised how well we got along. Having received recognition for my skills since debut. The times when the expectations are high are: Art and languages too are ever-evolving disciplines, so it's not easy to keep up. Nevertheless, there are self-expectations and anticipations to show a new side of myself. I will work hard (laughs). I still play Pokemon Go and I'm waiting for the June update. Flexible midfielder, Hendery — Something I’ve gotten into recently is practicing playing drums. Kun hyung is cooking a lot lately so I’ve been reviewing the food too. The other day he made kimchi jjigae so good that it even got an approval from manager hyung. My favourite track is ‘Take Off’. We filmed the music video in Ukraine and spent loads of happy times together, so I feel happier whenever I listen to it. Something I’ve improved on since debut is that recording songs takes less time. When I hear a member of staff say ‘Is this really Hendery’s voice?’ I feel proud of myself. The charm of my vocal is: I’m still looking for it, but I feel like my rap sounds nice when I spice it up with a little melody. Good at giving advice to our members. A tip to giving good advice is: it’s important to have helping and not making decisions in mind. Talk about both bad and good points about the A and B. The secret to always looking like I’m at peace is my parents always telling me ‘Your happiness is the most important. You always have a home to come back to, so work as much as you can enjoy’, thanks to them I grew up as someone with little stress or worries. Mindset that I don’t want to lose is the excitement before going on stage. I think the most important thing for an artist is their greed for performing. When I get on stage the most important is interacting with fans. The most memorable stage was our Korean debut on <Show! Champion>. I couldn’t believe we’re performing Chinese songs in Korea. I was so overwhelmed to see our fans welcoming us so enthusiastically even though they didn’t understand what we were saying. I opened an instagram account recently. My posting plan is ‘This is where I am‘ ‘I am filming today’. I want to showcase my daily self. I hope our fans can smile for a brief moment when they see the pics I had the most fun taking. To me WayV is: I feel empty when I go away to see my family for a little. Every time that happens I facetime them to relieve the sadness. Warm voice, Xiaojun — Something I’m into these days is practicing the songs that will be included in the next album that we are preparing for. Before debuting, I only sang my favorite ballad song, but nowadays, I want to sing songs of other genres such as R&B. I've been uploading videos of me singing on my personal Instagram. My favorite song is ‘Face to Face’. My heart warms up every time I hear it. I really like the lyrics ‘You won’t be lonely because I’ll be your strength, I won’t let you cope with your wounds alone in silence’. The keywords that describe me are kind. Friendly. Positive. one of the performances on Gayo Daejun was going to be interpreted by Yeonjun from Txt and you, this was one of the biggest events of the year so you wanted it to be memorable, and it was going to be, since the dance you were doing was a sexy one. You are shy with those styles but you enjoy the anyway, Yeonjun is a great dancer and he is always there to help you and make you feel free.

he would be kinda shy and nervous about seeing you do this type of performance but proud of you. As soon as he sees you he would become flustered and might smile a lot, he wouldn't mind about Yeonjun too much jut lowkey he would like to collab with you too, even if it isn't that type of performance.

it's been a long time since you did a special performance, and now you were dancing with Seunghun from Cix at Gaon Awards. This was a sexy perfomance but you were completely into it, he was really nice and always set a good mood for the practices so it made you be even more excited about the while thing.

Mark would be a little annoyed because he got to do a stage but it wasn't with you and he would have liked to share the stage with you and that's the only thing that had him thinking. He looks at you and you look so good and confident that it took away any thought and he just smiled feeling glad about this experience he would become a little serious when you two come too close but nothing to serious lol.

you were part of a new dance show were you performed with different idols weekly, on this occasion you were dancing with Park Jihoon. You felt really comfortable since he was a little shy just like you and it was the first time for the two of you to do this type of dance with a partner. You practiced a lot and the final product was probably gonna be so good since you really connected with each other.

when he knew you were performing a sexy dance with another idol he was kinda jealous about it since he really wanted to do that with you, he felt a little envious and even let you knew about it. As soon as you show up on the tv screen he felt really proud because you are so talented he would be a little annoyed by some parts but he would just tell the members about it.

NCT AG at KBS Gayo Daechukje 2020

The outfits the girls wore for the Resonance performance today were the same as the ones in the MV but with the white and chain accents (link to the Resonance MV post so you can see the outfits)

Hannah and Aurora jackets are adorned with the jewelry and chain pieces the guys had on their jackets, white panels and all. 

Moxy and Juno now have white stripes going down the length of their pants. Moxy has some of the chains across the front of her shirt. Her hair had to be pulled back because it kept getting caught in the chains. Juno’s shirt has white trim on it. 

On the way to NCT’s pre-record, some of the members weren’t wearing jackets but Doyoung brought an extra jacket with him for Moxy just in case

Doyoung: You are out here with no shirt on! You need a jacket and when we get to the building, you will put this on, ok!

Moxy: Yes Oppa.....

Dad!Doyoung has made another appearance

Moxy snuck off to see Got7 record their stage. Mark looked over and waved at her. 

Was Moxy blushing when she noticed that Mark had on a crop top. I mean.......I won’t tell if you won’t ;)

During the Romance of 2020 KBS Song Festival performace, Moxy and Aurora were with the first group of NCT. Moxy was playing around with Sungchan, Mark and Yangyang in the back. Aurora was singing between Winwin and Johnny

Juno and Hannah were with the second group of NCT. Juno was laughing between Shotaro and Jaemin. Jaehyun had his arm around Hannah causing her to blush while singing. 

Juno and Jungkook got to talk briefly backstage as NCT was headed from the red carpet. Jungkook also met the rest of AG as well. The girl’s natural personalities shifted in the presence of their sunbae but Jungkook made them feel comfortable.

Hannah: When did you meet Jungkook sunbaenim and why didn’t you tell us?

Juno: It wasn’t that big of a deal...

Aurora: It’s a big deal when a member of one of the biggest modern kpop groups remembers you.

On the red carpet, all the girls were wearing the same black dress with their hair down. When they got in position for the kneeling photo, four extra boys kneeled so their female members could remain standing.

At the beginning, when everyone walks in, Jaehyun is carrying Moxy on his back and Yuta walks with an arm around Juno

Juno and Moxy were with 127. Aurora was dancing with Chenle and Hannah did the rocking move with WayV (You know the move from the mv)

Moxy and Juno were rapping their hearts out to misfits lyrics dancing on the top of a desk. 

The camera was able to catch Jaehyun and Doyoung making sure they didn’t fall down. 

Before the song starts, while Jeno and Haechan were playing that finger game, camera caught Jaemin squishing Aurora’s cheeks. she was playfully batting him away

The girls were wearing school skirts to match the classroom concept. Moxy and Aurora were not happy. They wanted to dance crazy like the guys but alas....

The Resonance performance!!!

Fans were mad when the camera didn’t get a close up shot of Hannah doing her part of the rap. The camera did manage to catch her winking at the camera. 

During the Work It section, Jaemin and Aurora facials were on a HUNDRED. Like Aurora’s eyes alone were killing Czennies!!

“just recording? okay i can manage that.” you reassure yourself on the phone with your manager. 

“yeah, it’s just for half the day because the boys have rehearsal for the other half, you’ll be in the umeda district, without any cameras or media coverage, me and mr. lee think it will have a more relaxed outcome for the report.” 

“you talked to mr soo-man lee?” you question definitely skeptical of your manager.

a small smile plays on your lips in the early morning light.

 “just be ready by 10:00 and remember, make them look good, really good. do you hear me?” 

you grimace slightly, you were known to give an unbiased sometimes harsh opinion on your reports. painting wayv in an angelic light would go against everything that you’ve worked for. 

“yes of course.” you whisper, before hanging up the phone unable to take anymore orders from your manager. 

you make sure you have everything in place, you have on one of the sweaters you brought, with jeans and your favorite purse. you pack your laptop and journal so you can jot down notes for today’s section. you even put on a little makeup, not that it mattered what other people saw you as, you just wanted to wear it. after everything is settled you leave the room. 

and there’s no one in the hallway. 

you look at your watch, it’s only 9:41, had the boys not woken up yet? you tip toe quietly to look for any signs of life, but find none. you shrug, it’s not your fault  that the members of wayv couldn’t manage their time properly. you walk out to the garage of the complex expecting a black bmw to drive you and wayv  to umeda. 

instead you find seven fashionably early boys. 

you open your mouth in shock. how did they beat you here?

you hated to admit it but they all looked so good. wearing trendy and fashionable high end clothing, everything looked so effortlessly nice and boyfriend material ish, you knew it was carefully pick out just for this occasion. you roll your eyes in disdain. 

did they have no sustenance in their life? did they have any choices of their own? just the thought constricts you. 

“ i thought there weren’t going to be any cameras today?” you say flatly.          

 they look you up and down definitely not impressed by your boring appearance. 

“if there were cameras around you wouldn’t be here.” you looked shocked, over at xiaojun. 

“and you all wouldn’t be taking photos that i’d allow in my issue.”

 they’re all shocked at you now. no one ever talked back to them, especially not some little reporter girl in a baggy brown sack. 

“the car’s waiting.” you hear kun say, definitely trying to break this doomed conversation apart. 

you all pile into the van, one of their countless and disposable employees sits beside the driver. 

“so y/n,” he says as they drive off. “we hear you’re a great reporter?” 

the boys highly doubted that, they highly doubted that you’re even supposed to be here.

“that’s very kind of you to say,” you respond, genuinely flattered. “i actually was head journalist of the louis vutton fashion show here in osaka, and another one of my articles was chosen to cover the osaka university crisis.” 

you can feel the boys surprised impressions behind you. you had single handedly covered two of the biggest events in osaka. 

they weren’t the only ones that excelled in their field of work. 

when you got to the studio, the managers had takeout ready for you guys to eat. after, you were flung into a meeting after with wayv and their managers, they discussed logistics and statistics no doubt to impress you. 

but all you could focus on was the seven boys sitting on the opposite side of the table, making mean faces at you. 

you couldn’t believe it, they were full on glaring at you the whole time. you couldn’t fathom how superstars like them could be so rude, so you naturally make faces back, sticking your tongue out, curling your lips. 

it didn’t scare them like you intended it too, but it was more interesting than the meeting.

 the boys had to have a word with the producers from the studio. of course you weren’t allowed in, because it was “sensitive information”, so you were exiled alone into a room beside the studio, just with a few chairs and a piano. 

you refrained from playing the piano for sometime, sitting in a chair fiddling with your thumbs, but as the minutes added on you gave in quite easily and decided to play it. 

the leather seat feels familiar as you trace your hands across the keys. the piano was the only instrument you enjoyed playing, something about is was different than every other. whenever you played music on the piano, you immersed yourself in it.

 your right hand starts to aimlessly play a tune by muscle memory, then your other hand joins in and you let out a familiar sigh of relief as your body slips into a state of relaxation that you only get from playing the piano. 

you played the piano a lot when you were in high school. you didn’t have many friends and most subjects didn’t entertain you. aside from writing, playing piano was what you did most. you played pop song covers, jazz, classical, movie scores. whatever you could get your hands on. what you lost in social interactions, you made up with music.

it was also very personal to you. you played with your whole heart, there was so much emotion and expression you put into it. if anyone said something rude about your playing, your whole world would shatter.

but in this very moment, it brought you the stability you needed. so you continued playing, the song was seven minutes long and you played through it twice.

then suddenly, you feel a tap on your back and literally jump up out of your seat. red faced you turned around to see ten, seemingly unfazed. you wonder how long he’d been there. 

you hadn’t heard him enter so he could’ve been there for quite some time. the thought makes you want to shrink down into oblivion.

“i.... sorry i just started to play and...” 

“is that liszt?” he asks, genuinely curious.

 “yes,” you reply with a smile, looking into his light brown eyes. “le mal du pays.” 

you stare at him for a second waiting for him to ask more questions, but he doesn’t. he just turns back around and says 

“we needed you in there ten minutes ago.” 

he then saunters off into the room not once looking back. 

you indignantly huff and walk into the room, shaken by your encounter with ten. as you enter the room the boys stop speaking in rushed cantonese and look at you. 

“okay, now we can get started,” the director of the studio says definitely unimpressed by your tardiness.

 “so as we discussed, this album is going to be more contemporary and natural, this is where the fans will really get to know more about you and your interests.” 

you hurriedly take out your pen and notepad and scribble down points of the meeting you can expand on later.

 the director plays a few back tracks and the boys comment on them. 

 “for the main track we wanted to incorporate minnan dialect, to represent our past,”

you look up at hendery, you love the idea. it would add insight and depth to their music while honoring a part of chinese culture. 

“well..” the director cuts in, “we wanted to take another approach and stick to a standard chinese and english mix. now for the lyrics one of our producers wrote this to go along with a pre selected track..” 

you look up shocked, then at the boys. they looked so defeated after having their idea shot down, you couldn’t believe that SM basically did everything for them and wayv couldn’t do anything to stop it. 

at first you might have called the boys lazy or manufactured. but now you know that they’re trapped and dismissed. 

you see that on their faces. you had no idea. the rest of the “collaboration” took an hour, as you sat there and lied out guts your onto the notepad in front of you. 

both wayv and the producers worked harmoniously, turning primal beats and rhythms into lovely music. 

neither, had happened. the producers played generic pop beats and wayv tried again and again to get some of their ideas incorporated, failing each time.

 the drive back was silent, you could feel the defeat in the air. they were no longer looking at you, or concerned about you. 

they were looking among themselves for hope, for a way to make music they wanted to make. 

their sadness made you want to break in two. 

you couldn’t hate them anymore. you didnt deserve too, they can hate you all they want. but you could no longer be mad at these boys after seeing what they've been through. now everything makes sense.

“well, anyone can play the piano, hell even xiaojun can play the piano and look at him,”yangyang says while gesturing to xiaojun who was trying to persuade lucas to give him a piggy back because he wanted to “move fast”

ten shakes his head at yangyang, hendery and winwin.“no not like that, she was really good.”

“are you sure it wasn't a recording or-”

“no.” ten says, cutting winwin off. “it was amazing to listen to” he reminisces. getting lost in that moment, looking up at the ceiling thinking of your hands dancing across the piano keys like magic.

“it was like, she was supernatural. the look on her face was so serene that i didn’t want to disturb her. it was really weird...”

the boys look at ten waiting for him to say more.

“trust me, when you guys hear her you’ll agree. she sounded professional. really.”

he looks into the boys eyes for a glint of acknowledgment, but finds none.

“how much did you hear?” winwin asks.

“all of it.” 

the boys look at ten in shock, he never usually talked about people this way. especially not a sack wearing gross looking reporter like yourself.

“well that still doesn’t make up for the fact of her being a complete jerk!” xiaojun yells from atop lucas’s broad shoulders.

“i don’t think we can judge her until we get to know her.” kun says as he appears from his room. “there is definitely a lot there that we don’t see.”

“we’ll she’s still a bi-” yangyang then tackles hendery from behind, pulling him off of the bed the other members were sitting on. his words cut off by yangyang's clammy hands. yangyang tries to lick hendery’s nose while he yells fearfully in chinese.

after they had settled down, xiaojun thought he’d say what they were all thinking. 

“today went worse than usual. they usually consider our ideas, or act like they like them. now they don’t even pretend to need us.”

the boys look down in defeat. xiaojun was right. it had gotten worse.

“i dont know how much longer i can do this..” lucas says, looking tearfully into the palms of his hands. “ i want to be a musician. not just a body, or a face or a dancer. i want to sing and make music.”

the boys sit on the silence of the room. 

they feel the same. they had no idea how much longer they could last like this.

“i just don’t understand. our ideas are good. and they’re our ideas. no one should be treated like this.” winwin whispers.

“give it time,” kun offers. “we have fans supporting us and we have each other. music or not i want to stay with you guys.”

henderey grabs kun’s hand with his own as they sit there for the millionth time. contemplating the situation they were in. 

“we have to do something,” ten says looking up at the saddened boys he thinks of as brothers. “and i think i know how.”

they look up hopefully, but as soon as they figure out that the sack wearing gross looking reporter was involved,

chaos erupts.
