Cresswell. What’s the deal?

Okay, y’all, so I guess I like Cresswell but after rereading there are a few things bout this ship that bothered me. Which leads me to the question this rant is ultimately asking—why do you guys love it so much? No disrespect, I just wanted y’all’s opinions on this and to see if I’m looking at it through the wrong perspective ❤️ don’t come at me please, this is just a respectful debate and I needed to get this off my chest. It’s open for discussion and debate, I’d love to hear your opinions

Now let’s dive into one of my #shiprants and see what I find weird about Cresswell:

let’s take a look at the other ships: Cinder, Scarlet and even Winter give off that ‘I don’t fall in love easily’ vibe (Scarlet and Winter are also the kind many men find attractive) and we can see how their partners (Kai, Wolf, and Jacin respectively) complement them and why they fell for each other. But Cresswell? All we know is that Cress read some half-truths about Thorne’s past and then fell for him, and we don’t even know if she’s serious or she’s just desperate for romance. It’s clear in Cress that she’s a hopeless romantic, the kind who would fall for any guy she knew for three minutes.

Thorne doesn’t show much romantic interest in her till the next book, yes there are moments in Cress but to me it’s mostly just Thorne shaking his head and chuckling at how cute Cress is.

Don’t get me wrong—I love Thorne, and Cress too, but Cress isn’t very strong and she probably needs support on the fact that no other girl means anything to him. Instead, he blatantly flirts with EVERY FEMALE HE INTERACTS WITH FOR TWO SECONDS. This doesn’t give Cress much confidence, and I know a few of you are gonna argue that Thorne assumed that Cress was over him, but if he thought that there were no hard feelings, then why didn’t he jokingly flirt with her too?? and if he knew that there were hard feelings, then why did he flirt with others sm?? in front of her??

If you’ve read Wires & Nerve, you’ll see that there *is* Cresswell. We get a lot of moments in Volume 1 but I was not really fangirling too hard over any of them.

Another comparison with the other three ships: the others really had to fight to be together, and we saw them doing, well, basically everything for each other. But Cresswell has no struggle and the change in Thorne’s feelings towards Cress in Winter is kind of sudden. Yes, I know Cress and Thorne were only introduced to each other in Cress, but it still feels kinda rushed. As someone who has a thing for slow burn, this kinda bothered me.

Another thing: Cress had fallen in love with someone she created, not someone she knew. Ik this just might be the ‘falls in love with the fake version of a person then sees the real one and falls in love harder’ trope, but I still find it illogical and frankly, quite infuriating.

Idm the age difference too much, but it still needs to be addressed. Thorne is four years older than Cress and while you might say that it won’t matter once Cress is an adult, the Cresswell kisses are a bit too passionate for Cress’s age. I’m nowhere near 16 myself so maybe you shouldn’t ask me, but this relationship might end up being sexual while Cress is still a minor and inexperienced.

You might go, “But the others have an age gap, too!” That is true, I won’t deny it. But the gap between Kaider and Jacinter is not as severe and both girls have more experience with people. Wolflet are both consenting adults.

I don’t mind age gaps too much, I think some of them are overhyped just to find fault with the author or creator, but a lot of people are discussing this so thought it was fair to bring it up.

anyways—Cresswell has some positives too. I don’t hate the ship but it’s not my fav either. But always remember that you are entitled to your own opinion and this is just my rambling explanation—open for debate, remember ❤️

A/N: sorry that its so late, I just was blasted with things these past weeks, but don't worry, I have it all coming. This is unedited so enjoy me fangirling about this song and cresswell. If you haven't listened to it, do so now.

Thorne never really gave a damn about the way Cress acted when they were alone. Usually, she would act super silly and he knew that she was being herself… and it was adorable. And whenever her small hands would curl around his, Thorne could feel his heartbeat grow faster. She usually did it when they were alone which he never understood why but he appreciated it.

Now Cress was reading something off her port in low voice, stopping to giggle occasionally. But yet again, another thought popped into his head, like it has been all day. Did she like it when he was away? If he was somehow hurt and scarred would she love him the same? He could feel his thoughts running around and he craved silence.

Shaking his head, Thorne turned back to the movie he was watching earlier but smiling whenever Cress would giggle. She was a pond and he was an ocean.

“Captain!” spades, his emotions felt like explosions whenever she was around, “look at this!”

He got up and walked over to where she was sitting in the cockpit, “what is it?”

Her shining blue eyes lit up with excitement when she lifted the port to his face. It was a video of a kitten befriending a parrot, “aww that’s adorable,” he said.

Cress smiled more, “I found a way to kill the sound so you don’t have to hear the people in the background. It makes it better!” He imagined how life would be without her, and he couldn’t.

He was already a wreck when he was without her. He needed her to stay.

He remembered when Cress cried that one time by a lake in the American Republic. His bones practically broke at the sound of her sobbing. Thorne worried if it was something that he said that made her feel like a burden earlier. If only he could take it all back, he swore that he would pull her from the tide.

The wind was pounding on Thorne’s back, both literally and metaphorically. Three emergency letusmosis outbreaks recently happened in different parts of th world and he didn’t know how he was going to get there in time. Plus, Cress is showing symptoms of yet another illness…. Honestly, he felt a little overwhelmed, so he thought he would just stare at the horizon for a minute and breath.

A sneeze came from behind him and he turned to find Cress covering her nose but looking very healthy. A slither of hope coursed through him because he hated seeing her sick.

“Hey, you were out here for a while, and honestly I was kind of a wreck when I couldn’t find you,” she said, a small smile curving her lips. Thorne smiled back.

“Sorry, I thought I was out here for only a couple of minutes, spades time really does fly.”

“Next time I need you to tell me or stay before I start searching the ship,” she teased, giggling adorably.

“Ok, you got it,” he walked towards her and grabbed her hand, making their way back to the ship.

Thorne knew he was fast asleep because of where he is. This scene has replayed a thousand different times, a thousand different ways in his dreams, especially when he was unconscious.

Cress’s hear-shaped face appeared before him, with round eyes and a big smile. But he felt they weren’t the only people in the room, that there was someone else watching him, controlling him.

Is it worth it? Is it worth it? The same phrase swirled around his head, but they weren’t his, “Tell me, is it worth it!” he said as he plunged a dagger into Cress’s stomach.

Her blue eyes widened with shock and betrayal and her smile, her adorable, gorgeous smile, disappear. He felt tears stroll down his cheek and she began to drop, and he lowered her, “Cress?!”

Thorne woke up with a gasp to find Cress, healthy and awake beside him, her eyes glinting with worry instead of sadness in the port-screen’ light, “Carswell? Are you alright?”

He tried to breathe normally as he brought her into a hug. He saw people dancing on the port and he smiled a bit. Pulling away, he stroked Cress’s cheek with his thumb. She leaned into the touch. She began to hum a lullaby that calmed him immediately and he held her tighter.

“Oh- do you want me to stop?”

“No, keep going please,” she continued with her lovely voice that was the most beautiful thing he had ever heard and sighed deeply.

She’s- she is a lady, the lady of dreams, and he was just a boy, a messed up boy who never committed himself to a serious relationship.

No, Cress is very much a lady that deserved everything good, and Thorne was just a line without a-.

“I love you so much,” he blurted. Thorne was sure that her cheeks heated as she stopped her melody.

“I-I love you too, Carswell.”

“Did you know that I’m a wreck when I’m without you?”

“Me too, I need you here to stay,” Thorne felt relief at her words.

“I broke all my bones that day I found you crying at the lake. And basically, every time you cry, I hate to see you in pain.”

“Oh, I-” she started but Thorne continued.

“I was talking a lot that day and- well was it something I said that made you feel like you’re a burden?”

“Captain, no it wasn’t something you said it was… Sybill,” she paused for a second, “I was thinking about how much I missed in life when I was on the satellite and I hated the thought about that witch still impacting my life today!”

Her voice wavered and she took another second to prepare. Thorne pulled her closer and placed his chin on her head, “shh, it’s okay, don’t cry. If I ever say anything I say in future I take it back,” he kissed her head, “and pull you from the tide.”

3. What book are you planning to read next?

Well approximately 10 minutes ago I finished This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab and it was SO GOOD and i’m still processing the EMOTIONS but I’m reading the sequel next!! It’s called Our Dark Duet. Good spooky vibes :)

10. Sci-fi or fantasy? why?

Definitely fantasy. I do like sci-fi, it’s just not my go-to. It might be because I don’t like science in general so I tend to stay away from it, but when I do read/watch anything sci-fi I tend to enjoy it.

15. What book changed your life?

Oh, so many have. All of Lewis’ books have to some extent (ESPECIALLY The Great Divorce) but I’d actually have to say one of these three: The Lamb’s Supper by Scott Hahn (it’s about the Catholic mass and how it connects to the Bible), Behold Your Mother by Tim Staples (gives a REALLY good explanation of the Catholic image of Mary. It might have been the one that converted me), or A Father Who Keeps His Promises by Scott Hahn (it’s about the Old Testament and how you can see God working towards the salvation of humanity through all of it. really mind-blowing. this one isn’t inherently Catholic and I’d really recommend you read it if you’re interested!!) I know I cheated a lot and didn’t pick a book but yeah

17. If you owned a bookshop what would you call it?

Hmm well I kinda want to sell books at my tea shop (when I get it), but if I were to own specifically a bookshop, I’d call it The Book Nook (but with a cool logo) because l’m not good with names

27. If you could change one thing about mainstream literature what would you change?

I’d really like to change people’s taste in books because the number of adults I see complaining about Jane Austen being a symbol of the old white male patriarchy who decides what books are famous makes me irrationally angry and I can go on a whole rant if you want me to (honestly it might be therapeutic) but I won’t bother you with that now. don’t even get me STARTED on the people who think SJM is the height of literature

That doesn’t answer the question though so I think I’ll go with the themes in modern literature. Like Bridgerton is like Jane Austen except take out all the deep themes and make it about sex. And everything has to be high stakes and everyone has to lose their moral compass. I want people to actually be saying something with the story they’re telling me. Like yesterday I finished The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. It 800 pages long, dense writing, almost no plot, and the main character was following a corruption arc. But I read all the way to the end. Why? Because she built the story up by themes. Reading the book was like listening to someone go up a major scale, or a chord progression, and setting the book down would leave me with a sense of incompletion. I had to get to the end and hear that last note. and it was worth it.

To Kai, the temperature and other factors in the bedroom were just fine, but he could tell Cinder was uncomfortable. She never moved this much, not even at night.

Her acting like this right now really took him by surprise, because it had been a long day and as hours passed by he figured Cinder would be exhausted by the time they could make it to the bedroom. After all, she was pregnant.

But, surprisingly, she didn’t seem exhausted at all. Not that she was full of energy, but she was awake enough to be moving like a blender next to him.

Kai heard her groan. It was a cute sound, but it made him feel like he was in danger.

“Kai…Hey, Kai.”

Kai took a deep breath and rolled his body towards her.

“Yes?”

Cinder was staring at the ceiling, absently. She had her hands interlocked on top of her belly.

“Did I wake you up?”

“Naw. I wasn’t sleeping.” Answered Kai. And, well, he wasn’t lying. “Is everything alright?”

“Yeah. Totally fine.”

Kai giggled.

“Then what is it?”

Cinder frowned, as if she had eaten a really sour candy.

“I suppose you haven’t tried the sticky buns they sell at the market.”

“…err. I haven’t had the pleasure, I believe. “

“What a coincidence.” Cinder drew her attention to him, smiling. “Me neither.”

Kai laughed as his eyebrow raised.

“How come?” He asked, genuinely confused.

Cinder turned her head towards him, but her body didn’t move.

“Did you know that those people don’t serve to cyborgs? “ She clicked her tongue. “Rude much?

Kai sighed. Actually, he did know people at the market were reluctant to serve to cyborgs, which made him very angry. The situation had gotten better after Cinder had reclaimed her place as Selene Blackburn, but they still had a long way to go as a country and as a unified world. Sometimes, people still stared at Cinder’s hand instead of her eyes, which was not only impolite, but also discriminatory.

Fortunately, over time Cinder had learned to ask for respect in calm and patient ways. She barely paid any attention to the glares directed towards her anymore, but at those times when she was so stressed she would get extra sensitive, Kai would intentionally hold her hand and even place a tender kiss on it to let her know she mattered, and that they were the ones who were wrong.

So, yeah, he pretty much had a clear idea about how cyborgs were treated amongst society even when their Empress was one of them and New Beijing was supposed to be a cyborg-friendly place.

After the pregnancy was announced, they started getting all types of nonsense questions about whether or not Cinder’s circumstances would affect the baby, and they refused to answer the majority of them because…

Well.

Rude.

“You did mention something about it.” He limited to answer. “They knew, right?”

“Oh, boy. They knew.” Cinder groaned. “And it was Hell. Blame it on the cyborg. The cyborg this. The cyborg that. But anyways, that’s not my point.”

“Are you sure? Don’t you want to talk about…?”

“No, not today.” Cinder shook her hand to brush the topic away. “The thing is….you’ve been to that market, rig…Ugh. Of course you have. “

“Yep.”

“So, you must know there’s booths and there’s street vendors. And they sell a lot of street food. Sometimes I would send Iko to buy some for me because, you know, they wouldn’t sell anything to me.” She complained. “Until one day a guy asked her who did she belong to and we both got really offended and never came back. But somehow, he knew she belonged to me…and Iko’s pretty recognizable because she speaks a lot, so soon they all knew that hey! That’s Linh Cinder’s cursed android.”

Kai waited. She barely spoke about her days at the market, so it was always really interesting to hear her.

However, he did ask:

“Cursed?”

“Yep. Cursed. Because Iko has more personality than half of the people I knew back then and they just couldn’t take it.” Cinder rolled her eyes. “…Can you remind me why I was telling you this?”

“Uhm…”

“Oh, yeah. Street food.”

Out of all the answers there were, Kai certainly didn’t expect that one.

Weren’t they talking about social inequality?

“There was a lot of street food. And there was this booth next to mine. Chang Sacha’s store. She was a baker.”

A chill ran down Kai’s spine.

“Chang Sunto’s mother.”

Cinder sighed.

“That’s her.”

Then, they stayed in silence for a couple of seconds…minutes, perhaps, before Cinder dared to speak again.

“Kai, I want sticky buns.”

He couldn’t help but snort.

He should’ve seen it coming.

She was pregnant. This was supposed to happen, wasn’t it?

Kai had never taken care of a pregnant wife before, but he had heard Wolf telling jokes about how demanding Scarlet could get when she was going around with a bloated belly with moving babies inside.

“Don’t laugh. I really, really want sticky buns.”

“I’m not laughing.”

He was.

“How can you say that? Kai, I’m right next to you! Geez. So cynical.”

Kai burst out laughing. And even if she pretended to be mad at him, he could hear her laughing too.

“You want them right now?”

“Yes. Right now.”

“Right now? At this very moment?”

“Yes, Kai. Right now. At this very moment.”

“It’s three in the morning.”

“Excellent! Breakfast time!”

Kai groaned jokingly, as he started getting up from the bed. He felt a ball full of laziness dropping on his back to the mere thought of leaving the warm blankets and having to walk all the way to the kitchen to check if there was any already made sticky buns. If there wasn’t, he would have to go through more trouble and ask an android to wake the baker.

“…Wait, no. But I want Chang Sacha’s sticky buns.”

“What the…?” Kai passed his hands through his face. “Darling, Chang Sacha is…deceased. Didn’t they burn her bakery? She got infected with letumosis the day I met you.”

“But I didn’t get to taste her sticky buns and they smelled nice!”

“I know, they must’ve smelled nice, but…” Kai scratched his temple. “Fine. What do you suggest?”

Cinder blinked and shifted herself into a sitting position. Kai helped her, trying not to hit her belly (not that that could do much harm, but still).

“…I have no idea.” She concluded.

Then, she snapped her fingers.

“Maybe we could talk to her husband and ask him for the recipe and…”

“Oh.My.Stars” Kai laughed as he tenderly pulled her against his chest and kissed her forehead. “You really want those sticky buns, huh?”

“I told you I really wanted sticky buns and I meant it, Kai.”

“Yeah, I can notice that.” Kai smiled at her.

She looked pretty when she pretended to be annoyed.

“We’ll look for Chang Sacha’s recipe when the sun rises.” He promised. “In the meantime, I’ll ask someone to bake you sticky buns. It’s still breakfast time after all, and we shouldn’t keep our daughter waiting.”

Kaider OTP Headcanons

Okay, so because I love Kaider so much I decided to do all of these for them. I literally can’t contain myself. I copy and pasted the ones I already did and then answered the ones that I didn’t.

1) Who is the most affectionate? Kai is the most affectionate of the two. Cinder is a pretty touch starved character, she grew up thinking that she wasn’t worth any type of affection, so she doesn’t go out of her way to hug people or tell someone she loves them, or anything like that. Kai, on the other hand, makes a point to always be holding her hand, or whisper a quick “I love you” when they’re in the middle of a world leaders’ meeting.

2) Big spoon/Little spoon? Cinder is usually the big spoon and Kai is usually the little spoon. But normally they sleep facing each other like in this art I found.

3) Most common argument? They don’t really argue, but they often tell each other to go to bed. Kai goes down to the garage and gets Cinder when she’s tinkering too late into the night. Cinder drags (or carries) Kai out of his office when he’s up too late looking over legislation or other important documents.

4) Favorite non-sexual activity? On the rare occasion they have free time, they love sitting together in a big arm chair and reading. They take turns listening to the other’s voice.

5) Who is most likely to carry the other? Cinder carries Kai. Kai tries to carry Cinder sometimes, but it’s difficult because of her metal extremities.

6) What is their favorite feature of their partner’s? Kai loves Cinder’s hair. He likes burying his face in it when they sleep. Cinder loves Kai’s smile. It makes her artificial heart melt.

7) What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other? We lived through that, so I’m not gonna bother. Instead I’m gonna talk about what changes when they first start living together. As we saw in Something Old, Something New, Kai and Cinder aren’t strangers to falling asleep in each other’s arms when they’re around their friends, but I have a feeling that didn’t happen much when they visited each other on Earth and Luna. I think Cinder has her own suite in New Beijing Palace set aside before they officially get married just because that seems like something Torin would say they should do to keep up with traditions... but that doesn’t mean Cinder ever uses it. In fact she never does. Now that they live together why would they stay in separate rooms? After dealing with a long distance relationship for almost two years, there’s no way in the stars they’re not sleeping tangled up in each other’s arms.

8) Nicknames? & if so, how did they originate? When they’re in teasing moods, they’ll call each other Your Majesty. If the rampion crew is around, Throne will make gagging noises when they do it. The maids at the palace think it’s adorable. Aside from that I don’t think they use nicknames very much. They like calling each other by their names because from anyone else it comes with a title ahead of it. They feel more like ordinary people when the other just calls them by their name.

9) Who worries the most? They’re both pretty big worriers, the difference is that Kai internalizes it while Cinder frequently voices it. Many would think it would be the opposite because Cinder is usually the more closed off, but that’s just not the case.

10) Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant? Cinder. She has a computer in her head, remember?

11) Who tops? I’d say it’s pretty 50/50 just depends on what they’re in the mood for.

12) Who initiates kisses? Kai usually. He’s a bit more physically needy.

13) Who reaches for the other’s hand first? I’d say it’s pretty even again. Cinder reaches for Kai’s hand under the table when they have meetings or at press conferences. Basically any time that she feels slightly insecure or intimidated by some other leader’s experience compared to her own. Kai reaches out for her all the time. He’s pretty much always holding her hand when they’re out in public.

14) Who kisses the hardest? I… I really want to say Kai. Like I said before he’s a bit more needy and desperate (not in a bad way) and Cinder is a bit more go with the flow.

15) Who wakes up first? They wake up at the same time every day because they have to be briefed in the morning–usually during breakfast–about what’s on their schedule for the day.

16) Who wants to stay in bed just a little longer? Kai. Cinder was used to having to get up early to go man her booth at the market. Kai on the other hand? He used to be allowed to sleep in and he misses it.

17) Who says I love you first? I honestly can’t remember who says it first in canon, it’s been too long since I’ve read tlc. But if I’m just allowed to make this stuff up? I’d say Cinder. Kai knew he loved her but he wanted her to say it first so he didn’t push her into saying it back when she wasn’t ready.

18) Who leaves little notes in the other’s one lunch? (Bonus: what does it usually say?) Okay they don’t leave notes in each other’s lunches, but they do comm each other randomly throughout the day. It’s usually stuff like “Vargas was being an ass today” or “I love Iko, but if she makes me wear heels again I swear to the stars--” or “I know it’s been 10 minutes, but I miss you already. Wanna skip lunch?”

19) Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first? They don’t have to, everyone already knows. Cinder was pretty fucking obvious about how much she liked *cough* loved *cough* him before they kidnapped Kai. And once Kai joined them on the Rampion? All bets were off if they even wanted to hide their relationship.

20) What do their family/friends think of their relationship? This depends on who you ask. Iko thinks they’re the cutest couple in history. Thorne thinks they’re sickeningly adorable and obviously enjoys teasing them. Jacin thinks the same but without the teasing. Wolf, Scarlet, Winter, and Cress think that Kai and Cinder just... make sense in such a strange way that it doesn’t make sense.

21) Who is more likely to start dancing with the other? Kai is the one to initiate dancing of course. Cinder is absolutely terrible at it, and often accidentally steps on his toes, but she’ll let him guide her along anyway.

22) Who cooks more/who is better at cooking? Honestly? Neither of them knows how to cook very well. Cinder knows the basics, but Kai is completely lost. Let’s just say it’s a good thing they have a kitchen full of chefs.

23) Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines? Neither of them. There’s a lot of heavy flirting and teasing, but neither ever uses cheesy pick up lines.

24) Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear during inappropriate times? Kai does it a lot actually. When they’re dancing at galas or balls he’ll lean in close and whisper in her ear, or he’ll say something that’s subtle enough other people won’t think it’s anything strange, but he said the same thing the night before and Cinder definitely picks up on what he’s trying to do. Most of the time he does it to see if he can get a reaction out of her, a hint of red on her cheeks, anything. But more often than not he gets an eye roll or an elbow to the ribs.

25) Who needs more assurance? I feel like they both do equally as often. Cinder needs assurances from Kai that she’s a good person and that she matters. Kai needs assurances that he’s doing what’s right for their people.

26) What would be their theme song? I wanted to say “I’m not a Robot” by Marina and the Diamonds, but I feel like that’s much more of just Cinder song. For them as a couple I think I’d go with “Only Exception” by Paramore (not just because it’s one of my favorite songs) because they really are the only exception for each other? Kai def wasn’t going to love Levana–no way in hell. And Cinder never really thought of love until Kai came around.

27) Who would sing to their child back to sleep? I’ve said before that I headcanon Cinder as a closeted singer, so I’m carrying this over. Cinder sings their kids to sleep. By the time they have kids, Kai knows that she can sing. He often leans against the kids’ doorway and listens to her voice with a smile on his face.

28) What do they do when they’re away from each other? When one is on a trip to a different country without the other, they both try to immerse themselves in work so they can pretend they get to sleep next to the other when they go to bed that night. If they’re at home but can’t see each other for a while because running the country gets in the way, they comm each other every couple hours throughout the day to check in.

29) one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart The concept of happiness is very foreign to both Cinder and Kai. Cinder because Adri made her feel worthless. Kai because he was resigned to the fact that his entire life was going to revolve around his people and he would never get to do things for himself.

30) one headcanon about this OTP that mends it Now that they have each other, they know that they’ll be happy for the rest of their lives. It doesn’t matter if there’s another war, if they someday have to absolve the monarchy in the Eastern Commonwealth too. Are you kidding me. They complete eachother, he is her heart she is his head. Without Bellamy, Clarke would have lost herself long ago. Without Clarke, Bellamy would have died because he did something stupid long ago as well. And in the book they are almost a different ship but they still work well and just make me so happy plus they get engaged at the end of the book so that's awesome. But for the show we are 6 seasons in and they are the longest slow burn couple I've ever met in my life cause they just would admit they have feeling and the writers are trolls, soooo yea, they are my OTP and I love them whichever version we are talking about. (I thought about splitting up book bellarke and show bellarke but then I would bellarke on the list twice and I thought that might be confusing so instead you get this equally confusing paragraph)

6. Is 8 a funny ship or a serious ship?

FUNNY!!! Puckbrina is definitely a funny ship. Their first kiss was in front of an army of chimpanzees. They just make fun of each other and it’s so frustrating but ridiculously funny.

7. Out of all of your ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry?

Show Bellarke FOR SURE. They just play off each other so well and their actors are married in real life.

 Memori because they were always trying to save themselves until they met each other and they just don’ t care how awful/different the other may be, they just love each other anyway, their relationship is freaking beautiful

9. How many times have you read/watched 6’s fandom?

Zammie, once, but only because it a more recent read for me but I do want to read the books again soon. Plus Gallagher girls is awesome who wouldn’t want to read it again

10. Which ship has lasted the longest?

 Memori. They got together in s3 of their show, then there was a 6 year time jump between s4 and s5 and then all the characters went into cryosleep for 125 years at the end of s5 and they are now engaged in s6 soooo they've been together for like 132 years due to technicalities or I would say Will and Tessa because they got together when they were 16 & 17, got married and stayed together until he dies at like 90something sooo, no strange time jumps included, soooo it’s kinda how you look at it really.

11. How many times, if ever, has 9 broken up?

None, but Kai did marry Cinders aunt while they were still dating.

12. If the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, 2 or 8?

Creswell or Puckbrina? I think Creswell would make it out because he’s a captain and she’s a genius soo yea. But I think it would just be funny to see all four of these guys team up in am apocalypse situation.

Kind of, Will did hide the fact that he was in love with her because of his curse but after they were together everyone knew

Yes! Memori is engaged now to and it makes me so happy.

No, Vida and Chubs was kind of a surprise to everyone and then everyone was just happy they were happy.

ugh, it's been a while since i've been invested in tlc tbh, even though i obsessed over it in seventh grade and would literally not talk about anything else. my friends got so tired of it lol.

AKSJKS. literally the entire series was /so good/ least favorite storyline: hmmm, maybe cresswell back when i first read the books, i just loathed their romantic journey. i mean i liked them both as characters and when they were being adorable and like siblings, not when they were. making out or w/e. what I wish had happened but didn’t: cress realizes she's sixteen and she has no life experience and is not ready for a romantic relationship, and that friendship and platonic love is not less than, and then cresswell explored the world as friends, leaving their future open to explore other possibilities. i mean that's how i feel now in seventh grade i was like. twelve so i just yelled NO I DON'T LIKE CRESSWELL STOP KISSING lmao. but yeah if they got together in the future when they were both experienced and mature enough and completely, totally, 100% ready, after going on journeys of self improvement separately but supporting each other, and after cress has full independence and agency that she didn't get a chance to explore on the satellite, yeah i could be into them.

also why. why isn't winter pan and scarlet bi??? i'll never know smh. and why don't the rampion crew hang out more they act like coworkers in W&N and didn't get any soft, silly family moments. what happened that I wish hadn’t: cresswell endgame, i suppose. i mean i just summarized my feelings on them so take from that what you will. Piece of advice for your followers: Hmm well... my advice is, if things have ended their natural course, with a friend or an old interest or anything like that, if you feel you’re no longer growing from it or perhaps its starting to bother or get to you, then let it/them go, i had to do this with an old friend recently and yeah it was hard but i feel so much better because i knew it wasn’t going anywhere anymore and its not healthy to do that to yourself. It doesn’t mean those things or people were bad or anything, just means things are changing for you, and that’s good that’s ok let the change happen it’s a part of life it can bring you relief and lead to new good times man.

You have to listen to this song: Evermore... from the Beauty and the Beast (2017) soundtrack..... Dan Stevens (the beast) does amazing in the movie.. but Josh Groban’s version is v beautiful as well.....

I’m not sure about the hero-part (though I appreciate it) but I do feel there is a lot of unfounded hatred and very uncalled insults towards Cresswell shippers. And here’s the thing: I really don’t care so much what a random teenager on a different continent thinks or believes to know about me. I’m really too old for that. I ship what I ship and I don’t do it without analysing it, too. I have almost no OTPs, so of course I love to understand why so few appeal to me and why so many others don’t. I wrote tons about Cresswell, so I doubt anyone can tell me I haven’t put much thought into it (which goes for most of my posts, btw). But I don’t even think I have to explain myself.

However, I know a lot of TLC fans are younger and I don’t think it’s okay to turn against them to that degree. Being aware of issues is one thing. Disagreeing is fine, too. But insulting and trying to shame people? Because of a shipper preference? If all that energy would actually be used to create Kaider/Wolflet/Jacinter art/fanfics, I doubt we would even need that discussion. If I love a ship, I draw fanart and write fanfic and encourage others to do the same. I don’t understand why others can’t do the same. And that’s why I wrote that post.
