I feel bad for Ravio in your pink bunny au bc the poor guy's bestie comes home, is doing kinda awful, gives up on life and becomes a bunny and then one day just. Is gone. Like.
Ravio's probably freaking out because Legend's been in this slow decline for a while and Ravio has been trying to pull him out of it but just can't and then he vanishes.
Oh yeah it is super rough for poor Ravio! Don’t get me wrong, Link is doing terribly too, but Ravio shoulders it all by himself and wont ask for help, which only makes matters worse for both of them. And then he snaps. And Link runs away. And doesn’t come back for months. Yeah… Ravio very much blames himself for everything—Link not getting better, and Link leaving him. He can sense he’s still out there and alive (they’re intertwined after all, two sides of the same coin) but he thinks Link doesn’t want to be found. He doesn’t want to come home. And now Ravio has deteriorated too.
I’m the author and I feel terrible for Ravio T.T their reunion in a few months will be very cathartic to write.
To help us all feel better, here’s a snippet of Ravio finally getting some comfort!
(and of course, my obligatory @thatonecrazysidekick tag!)
(and thank you for the ask!!!!)
***
Fierce squawking. Ravio flinched when Sheerow landed on his head, panicked chirps escaping her. Why had she even bothered to come back? Didn’t she know he was awful and broken?
“Leave me alone,” he rasped, his voice strained and wet with tears. “Let me rot.”
“Absolutely not.”
Ravio’s head snapped up at the new voice. He sat up quickly, scrubbing at his eyes when he saw who it was, her royal purple hair braided down her back and her eyes narrowed—in annoyance? Concern? Ravio couldn’t tell when his vision was blurry. Her hands rested over her hips. “Hilda! I—erm…”
Hilda’s face softened. She made her way over to join him on the bed. Ravio turned away, his cheeks burning darkly. “No wonder Sheerow came to get me,” Hilda said, her voice much gentler than he deserved. Ravio sniffled, couldn’t look at her as shame burned bright within. “What’s going on, Bun? You look terrible. And where’s Link? Why isn’t he helping you?”
Her words, so soft, so concerned, made Ravio’s breath hitch all over again. And then he was dissolving into sobs once more, burying his face in his hands to hide himself away from her and wishing she would just leave him alone.
A noise of concern escaped Hilda and she shifted closer. “Oh, Bun…” She curled an arm around his shoulders, and Ravio… Ravio couldn’t help himself. He didn’t deserve the comfort, but he turned and latched onto her like she was the only thing holding him up in this sea of loneliness and misery; a light in the ever-persistent darkness that had become his life.
Hilda began to run a hand up and down his back, slow and sure. Her other arm squeezed him closer, holding him together as he shuddered and broke to pieces in her arms. “Just let it out, Bun. I’m here.”

comma flirting
on ao3
word count: 4.4k
a collection of letters between link and ravio; ravioli falling in love
Mr. Hero,
I’m writing to inform you that your rental on the Sand Rod has expired. My assistant, Sheerow, has come to collect this item, and it will be available for re-rental at 50 rupees.
Best,
Ravio
Ravio,
I’m in the middle of assfuck Desert Palace and writing this on your envelope. Enclosed is a purple rupee. I have the rod.
Link
Mr. Hero,
Sheerow is coming again to pick up my Hookshot. Please don’t wrestle with him this time.
Best,
Ravio
P.S. Please visit the shop for purchases you make.
Ravio,
I’ll be there tomorrow.
Link
Mr. Hero,
Don’t worry when you open this letter - no rentals are due - though I’m sure you will anyway. I’ve been meaning to ask this since they’ve been in season for a while, but you haven’t been around recently. Is it alright if I harvest your apples while you’re out? You can trust me not to sell them, heh.
Thanks,
Ravio
Ravio,
Go for it, I won’t be home anytime soon. Juicer’s in the basement. Sell them and I’ll kick you out.
Link
Mr. Hero,
Since my retirement, I’ve been moving away my tables and letting the actual house part of your house take over. I’m excited for you to see the place!
Your orchard produced beautiful apples, but there’s so many I’m not sure what to do with them. I’ve never seen so much fruit in my life! I’ve learned some baking recipes from the locals, so I’ve been trying a few of those. Let me know when you’re heading home soon so I can make pie!
Stay safe.
Ravio
Rav,
I’m fine; that gash from last month is just a scar now. I’m as safe as possible. I’m going home next week to pay you for that red potion even though you refuse.
Link
Link,
Don’t pay me back for that red potion. You were unconscious from blood loss.
Do come back home though, before Sheerow gets into the pie.
Ravio
Ravio,
I’m on my way right now. Note the purple rupee in this envelope.
Link
Mr. Hero,
You’re insufferable. I’ll see you soon.
Best,
Ravio
Ravio,
I’m writing this in case your stupid bird manages to find a portal before I do. Hylia knows he will. I miss your apple pie.
I hope Lorule’s doing okay. I hope your Triforce is actually back. It’s finicky. The Goddesses don’t like to fully honor wishes I wonder if you hold Courage.
I’m sorry. This is stupid. This is a stupid letter. You’re never getting this.
Link
I changed my mind I need to keep writing before I go insane
Zelda wants me to move into the castle. I don’t want to but every time I try to bring that up I feel like there’s sand in my throat. Like that one time at the Desert Palace. I still have that letter from you. I can’t believe I always wrote on the envelopes.
She’s officially queen now and says I should retire from being Hero and reveal my princehood to the public. Fuck, I never admitted that to anyone. It’s not like you’ll see this letter. Are you Hilda’s brother too? Nevermind.
I really, really hate the castle. Is that a selfish thing to think?
My uncle died there
I’m running out of parchment so I’m throwing this away. Goodnight, Ravio.
Ravio,
I guess you’ve become my diary now. Writing things out helps, I think.
Zelda and I fought today. I think I pissed her off. Who am I kidding. I pissed her off. I told her I’m already figurehead enough as the Hero and being a prince is too much shit for me to handle. She got real butthurt and almost sad? I don’t know. I’m bad at this shit. She kicked me out of the castle and said we could talk about it later. I don’t want to talk about it anymore.
I never actually told you about the brother thing, did I? We found out a while ago. My first adventure, I think. Been a while.
I know Lorule needs its Triforce but please don’t rely on it to solve everything because it doesn’t.
I need to get a notebook or something. Or just suck it up and buy more parchment in Kakariko. I’m harvesting more apples tomorrow because it helps me not to think. I miss your apple pie. I miss you. I miss not being alone in that house.
Maybe I’ll just write more letters. Oh well. Goodnight.
Link
Ravio,
Kakariko was out of parchment for a while so it’s been a month since I’ve written things down. Zelda and I worked out the prince thing, I guess, because we didn’t discuss it any more after that day. As it stands, I’m still the asshole who saved the country more than enough times.
I’ve been reading up on these legends about Heroes. I wonder how it was like for them.
Other than that it’s been boring. I decided to juice half the apples and sell the rest. You better show up soon so I don’t have to sell the next crop.
Zelda says there’s a disturbance by the Sacred Realm entrance. Almost like there’s a crack between worlds there. By the Goddesses, Ravio, what are you and Hilda doing? Just don’t be stupid and don’t get yourself killed.
Please.
Link
Link,
I can only imagine your embarrassment when this letter reaches you. The thought makes me giggle, which I know will make you more embarrassed, which makes me giggle more.
Sheerow flew through the crack as soon as Hilda and I opened it. He arrived back to me a few hours later with three envelopes that I don’t think you intended to send.
I miss making pie, and baking in general. Retirement didn’t last long after I returned home to my post serving Hilda. I hold Wisdom, not Courage, and the Triforce is doing wonders for Lorule. I’m sorry it hasn’t treated you well. You deserve better than that. I’m sorry about your uncle, too.
I’m proud you stood up for yourself. No, I’m not blood related to Hilda, as far as either of us know. But you’ve been living life fine without being a prince, you’ll continue to live fine without it. Just stay safe in your Hero business. And for the other Heroes, I don’t know. Lorule has no Heroes, other than you. I’m sure it wasn’t easy for them, though.
I’m sending Sheerow back with this letter before I officially leave Lorule with Hilda. We’ll both be in the castle. I’m sure Zelda has discovered the crack, but if you may, please tell her we’ll arriving with Lorulean soldiers and nobility. I’ll visit you as soon as possible. I miss you too.
Sincerely,
Ravio
Ravio, you bastard,
I will be at Hyrule Castle at the asscrack of dawn and if you aren’t there I will fight you.
Link
Dearest Link,
This letter hopefully won’t arrive to you via Sheerow as I’m leaving it in your pack. Inside is food, weapons, the rings you asked for, and other items that you needed. Thank Lolia your bag has an expansion charm, because even my amazing packing skills wouldn’t have cut it. For the love of the three, stay safe out there. It’s been months since you’ve last been on a journey.
As Lorule’s ambassador, I’ll be at the castle most days, but I’ll take care of the house and continue baking. Zelda has been teaching me recipes from the castle kitchens, and they’re quite lovely!
Also as Lorule’s ambassador, I request you send reports on the happenings in Hytopia so that we may bring sufficient aid. As Ravio, I need to know if you’re safe; you know how much I fret.
Please write.
Sincerely,
Ravio
Dear Ravio,
You’re the craziest worrywart I’ve met, and Queen Zelda is my sister. I’m happy to supply reports, both of Hytopia and my own health, but I promise you that I’m fine. This is either my sixth or seventh adventure. I genuinely lost count.
As the Hero of Legend, I report that Hytopia is suffering from a “fashion crisis”. The two others operating with me are sufficient in their help, and I am currently confident in our quest to save Princess Styla. I estimate six months, maximum, will be spent on this journey. I will reach out if foreign aid is needed.
As Link, I need you to know with utmost honesty that this place is fucking crazy. There are two bitches following me anywhere, and by the Goddesses are they amateurs, claiming to be the Hero of Legend. I’m so tired of them. The princess is crying and hiding around town because she’s wearing a fucking brown jumpsuit and she can’t take it off. I feel like I’m slowly losing my sanity as each day passes, but what else is new?
The fights are fine and easy. I’ve had to wear a skirt for the past week for complicated reasons, but I’ve found that this shit is actually practical. Who would’ve thought?
Write me back so I don’t go insane.
Link
Dearest Link,
I cannot deny that I’ve had to read your letter multiple times over to get through it without laughing. You never fail to take any boredom from my day, even when all I do is talk to nobility and worm my way through politics.
I’m not sure what to write about. I’ve tried apple turnovers for the first time, but they haven’t come out the best. I’m spending time with the castle’s baker and pastry chef whenever I can. I’m sure you’ll be happy once you’re home. Speaking of home, Sheerow’s starting to relieve himself in the house again. I don’t think he likes the bird cage, but I haven’t had time to fix this problem yet. Please give me your blessing to let him fly free again.
Stay sane,
Ravio
Dear Ravio,
Make that bird promise to stop shitting on my carpet and you have a deal.
I’ve had to wear more green in the past month than I’ve ever had to in my life - they made me dye my hair, for Goddess sakes - and I’m ready to never see that color again. Can you burn down the forest for me so the grass is brown? Don’t do that, Zelda will have our heads.
Apple turnovers aren’t too hard, I’m sure you’ll get it soon. Send one over if Sheerow can fly fast enough.
I’ll be home before year’s end.
Link
Dearest Link,
You’ll be pleased to hear that the forest is gone and we’ve both been banished to the Dark World.
I’m kidding. I’ve been discussing with Zelda on the prospect of me gaining Hyruleian citizenship, and Hilda says she requests you receive Loruleian citizenship as well, seeing as you’re our Hero. The process for both is very complicated and apparently the Queens can’t just write us down for both without backlash from nobility, enough that it won’t be worth it. I’ve been looking for the easiest ways, and including the benefits on tax, marriage ironically comes up. I’ll keep searching.
I got the turnover recipe down; Sheerow should be arriving with a package of them for you and your “hero” friends. Enjoy!
I’m glad you’ll be home soon, even though it’s only summer. Stay safe out there, as always.
Sincerely,
Ravio
Dear Ravio,
I don’t know Hyrulean law well but I think you can keep citizenship after divorce. I don’t know about you, but I personally don’t give a shit. We could marry for the benefits and if either of us sorry fucks finds someone, we divorce.
Link
P.S. Those were the best turnovers I’ve had in my life. Keep making them.
Dearest Link,
It’s a decade of marriage before citizenship becomes unconditional, so if you’re fine with that, I don’t mind either. I’m glad you liked the turnovers, I’ll send more once the orchard produces more apples. Also, how are you doing in Hytopia?
Sincerely,
Ravio
Dear Ravio,
I’ll be dead within the decade, so fuck it, let’s do it. I’m leaving a ring in the envelope. For my ego, please pretend like this is the best damn proposal you could have ever dreamed of.
Hytopia is doing well and Princess Styla is back to normal. I’m avoiding the ports and taking the scenic way home, so I’ll be back in two weeks.
Link
Dearest Link,
Don’t joke about that, please. I’m glad you’re on your way. I’ll see you soon.
Your proposal has had me swooning and I spent three days in recovery at the castle. On a real note, Zelda and Hilda are both confused and slightly furious at us. I believe we simply found a unique situation to this problem.
Sincerely,
Ravio
Rav,
I’m at Kakariko this morning to pick up bread. I didn’t want to wake you up. I should be back by noon.
Link
Link -
Emergency call from the castle, some monster invasion. I’m sure you’ll hear about it soon.
- Ravio
My Ravio,
Killing the monsters you had a meeting about yesterday, then Zelda wants me at the castle for wedding stuff. I’ll see you tonight.
Link
I have a dinner tonight so I’ll be gone when you get off work. Pie is in the oven for you. “My”?
- Ravio
We’re getting married, aren’t we?
Link
Link and Ravio,
I wish you the sincerest congratulations on your marriage, though the circumstances of it are definitely exploiting a loophole that I’d have half a mind to fix. Regardless, may you both be blessed with peaceful and long lives. My brother, I am so proud of you for how far you’ve come. My brother-in-law, you are an amazing friend, and I’m excited to be family with you.
Peace and prosperity for you both!
Sincerely,
Zelda
Ravio and Link,
I am amazed that this is happening, for multiple reasons. I suppose it is my fault for being surprised, however, knowing my advisor. Hero of Hyrule, I request you take care of Ravio; Ravio, I request you take care of Link. Perhaps your personalities are only compatible with each other after all.
Best wishes for you both,
Hilda
Link,
It’s been a week with no word from you, and I’m beginning to worry. I’m sending Sheerow off with this letter but I’m unsure if it’ll reach you, so if it does, I can only beg you to write back. These new monsters, the black-blooded ones, have been retreating some. Zelda is recruiting small forces of people to make them back off from towns, and it’s worked so far. We are all worried about you. Zelda and Hilda have been asking me where you are, and I don’t know how to explain that I don’t know.
I can only assume you’ve ended up in one of those portals they’ve emerged from. Your pack is missing, as well as some of your rings, armors, and gears. You left your extra pair of boots behind, I have them for you. I have your extra weapons, too. Please come back for them. Please come back.
I miss you. I hope you’re okay. Sheerow is pissing on the carpet again.
Yours,
Ravio
Dearest Ravio,
Time travel is fucking weird, so I have no idea when this’ll reach you. I’m fine. I’ve been pulled into another adventure, this time with my own kin. When the portals spit us out back home, I’ll sit down and have a long talk with you. We promised not to keep secrets from each other, remember? I trust you, but I have limited parchment so I can’t write it all down right now.
In summary, though, I’m with other Links from around history. I met my fucking descendant. It’s crazy. They call me Legend; there’s 9 of us. I’m the veteran, apparently.
I’m sorry this is short. I hope I’ll be home soon. I miss you. Tell Sheerow to stop shitting himself, and while you’re at it, tell Zelda to stop shitting herself too. I’ll be okay.
Yours,
Link
My dearest Link,
I’m relieved you’re alright. Zelda laughed when I passed on your message, and she’s in a better mood now. Hilda also seems relieved. I’m awaiting your coming home soon.
Your descendant? I expected those portals led to different dimensions, not across time. What is he like? I would consider you a veteran in your field, Link; you’ve saved more than 5 separate nations.
I made Sheerow promise not to piss on the carpet anymore, but I don’t think a bird will hold his word well, haha.
We all miss you. If When you and your traveling companions come by, I’ll be here to welcome you all. I’ll see you soon.
Yours,
Ravio
Dearest Ravio,
Stop worrying about me, damnit. The Goddess will keep me around long enough to keep running errands for her. Sheerow, you stupid bird, it’s cage for you if you don’t shit outside. I’m glad Zelda and Hilda are okay.
We call him Hyrule, the Traveler. He’s some centuries down the line, the next Link, and I’ve been to his world. It makes me worry about the future. Rav, I’m really, really worried. I don’t think I’ve done enough
Stay safe.
Yours,
Link
My Link,
You’ve done enough. More than enough. Never forget that.
If Hyrule falls, then at the very least, you defended it with all your life. You gave it precious time to be prosperous. You’re the Hero of Legend for a reason, Link.
Zelda wanted to include her own message on this letter when she heard that you’re distraught, so I’m leaving the rest of the space to her. Stay safe.
Yours,
Ravio
Link -
Hyrule’s history consists of both golden and dark ages. The Heroes of past all fought hard and performed their duty, and sometimes, the Kingdom falls regardless. However. Hyrule always rises again. I understand your worry for us, for Hyrule; but even when we fall in the future, a new Hero arises, right? Hyrule will be okay. You’ve done everything asked of you, and that is more than enough.
My doors are open if you need comfort or advice. Please, if you need to, seek me out. I’m here for you, like I’ve always been, always remember that.
Your sister,
Zelda
Dearest Ravio,
I’m sorry I worried you. I’ll be home soon. I’ll tell you everything then.
We’re in my Hyrule right now. I can tell from the magic, but we’re far out from the kingdom. Prepare ingredients for 9 - we have a cook, don’t worry - and expect me home within week’s end.
Yours,
Link
P.S. Zelda, we need to talk. There’s a curse. I’ll be at the castle promptly.
My dearest Link,
Please note the package attached to this letter. There’s two apple pies for you all, rupees for the Smith’s payment, and the Captain’s scarf which he couldn’t grab before you were all whisked away. Zelda has also left rings with protective charms for the others with none.
One more thing. The hibiscus plant is flowering, but I forgot to pick one for you earlier. I placed a stasis charm on it, so I hope it’ll be okay when it reaches you. I tried to pick the best color from your description; I hope I did her justice.
Best wishes for you all!
Yours,
Ravio
Dearest Ravio,
The hibiscus is perfect. Thank you.
The Captain thanks you for his scarf (he was whining like a toddler without it), and the Smithy sends you back your change. Pass on my thanks to Zelda for the rings. Your pies are delicious, as always.
Nothing much has happened lately, nothing worth writing about. We’re in the Champion’s Hyrule, and it’s so large that I feel grateful for the distance between our Kingdoms now. I never want to walk again.
Yours,
Link
My dearest Link,
I, once again, am entirely unsure if this will reach you. I’m writing from my bunk. It’s been an interesting past week.
I’ve been thrust through a portal of my own, thankfully able to prepare first. I met the Captain again; I can see why he recognized me now! I’m doing okay, and I’m fine and safe. I’ve run into Wind, too, and a boy who almost looks like Time.
Link, I think I met her too. She matches everything you described, hibiscus and all. I don’t know how she’s here, either. She’s kind.
I’ll write as much as I can - it should be more exciting, now! - and I hope we’ll both be home safe soon.
Yours,
Ravio
My dearest Ravio,
Excuse me, you’re fighting in the fucking War of Eras!? Tell Warriors if he puts you on the front lines I’ll kill him. Slowly. By the Three, you better not get killed or hurt or ANYTHING along those lines. And you need to get home safe as soon as possible so the chance to is gone.
I don’t know what to say about her. I don’t know how she’s there, either, but be kind to her. And tell her I say hi, I guess, if she remembers me. Don’t let her go ba
Don’t open any time paradoxes, I know I’ll be the sorry fuck who saves you. Stay safe, damnit.
Yours,
Link
My dearest Link,
You never fail to make me laugh. And you call me a worrywart! I’m fine, don’t worry. Everyone is sweet and they take extra care to keep the ones from other times alive. Unfortunately, I think informing Mr. Captain Hero Sir of your threats would create a time paradox, as he doesn’t know you yet. Feel free to threaten him after-the-fact in your group, though!
Marin remembers you. She tells you to stop being a grump, and that’s only after my few descriptions of you! She also congratulated us on our marriage, though it’s been a year since. She appreciates the hibiscus plant and your pursuit of music when you’re home. She also says you should retire.
I understand why you care for her, Link. Really, you are a sweet person.
Yours,
Ravio
My dearest Ravio,
The Captain laughed in my face, because he’s an asshole. I would bet on my life that he’ll keep you safe, though; he’s captain for a reason. And maybe I do worry too much, but I have good reason to.
I’m glad she’s alive. This is selfish, but ask her if Koholint is doing okay, please. Tell her I’ll retire when the ladies upstairs let me.
I don’t know how to reply to your last line, Rav. But thank you, I guess. It’s hard to be kind in this world.
Yours,
Link
My dearest, Link,
I’m sorry I haven’t been able to write for a while. Sheerow went missing, and with no time traveling postbird, I haven’t been able to send letters. The war has also kept me busy and the paper has been scarce. I miss you so, so much.
I’m home. I don’t know how long it’s been for you, but it was around a year and a half for me. Sheerow is safe; he’s been at home this whole time. I’ll be waiting for you here again.
I like to think I discovered a bit of courage for myself while out there. Maybe the amount you rubbed off on me finally paid off, yeah? I’m really tired, I’m going to stay here for a while and rest. This is all over the place. I’m sorry.
Marin went back to Koholint. I don’t know if she’s alive there, but I’d like to hope she is. I’m sorry you two didn’t get to meet again. I’m apologizing a lot.
Have you been around? Our house looks the same as ever. I hope you did get to visit, at least for a little, in the time I’ve been gone.
I pray for your safety. I miss you, Link.
Yours,
Ravio
My dearest, Ravio,
I can’t put my relief into words. I’m still out, but nearing the end of this adventure. I can feel it coming to a close soon, and this one feels final. Maybe I’ll actually be able to retire.
I’ve missed you so much. I thought you were dead, or hurt, or Sheerow was dead or hurt, and I swear I couldn’t sleep for months. I’ll never let that damn bird out of our sights again. Please rest, Rav. I understand how you’re feeling right now. I’ll be home to help as soon as I can - you can’t recover from something like that alone.
Marin being alive or dead is more of a discussion if she is real or not real. I find that thinking over those kind of questions too much will only lead to feeling worse. It’s better to just accept that she’s gone. I’ll be there for you.
I’ve visited some, not as much as I wish I could. There’s never much time to relax, and our house feels wrong without you there.
Never apologize again, that’s a threat. I’m so glad you’re okay.
Yours,
Link
P.S. Did you think I wouldn’t notice you flirting with me? “My dearest, Link,”?
My dearest, Link,
Thank you. I’m harvesting apples from the orchard again, and I made pie for the first time in a while. Sheerow is carrying it over for you.
It’s been hard, this past week, but I think I’ll be okay. I just need time to re-adjust. Don’t rush your adventure for me, okay? I’m glad you’ll be home soon, though.
I’m looking forward to see you again.
Yours,
Ravio
P.S. I can’t help but notice that you also placed a comma after “dearest”. Besides, aren’t we married?
My dearest, Ravio,
The portals have begun to place us in our own times, and we’re having our final goodbyes. You’ll be happy to hear that I’ll be home within a fortnight. I’m excited to see you again, finally. I love your pie; it’s amazing, as always.
I’ll see you soon.
Yours,
Link
P.S. We are married, and we’ve signed off as “yours” for over a year. Are you surprised that you’re my beloved?
My dearest, Link,
Hurry up and get home, you flirt. First you propose over letters, now you confess?
Yours,
Ravio
My Ravio,
I’m in Hyrule, three days out from home. Don’t you forget that you initiated everything.
I can’t wait to see your face again. I love you.
Your husband,
Link
My Link,
I won’t bother to send you this letter, because I’ll tell you in person, but you can go ahead and find it on our counter when you arrive tomorrow.
You said “my Ravio” again, like you wrote on a note before our marriage. Don’t think you’re not as much to blame for this as I am.
I’m waiting for you, dear. I love you, too.
Your husband,
Ravio

Since it is WIP Wednesday I think I'll post a little bit of one of my current projects.
So some of you may have heard of The Saga of Hilda, aka my lorulian history focusing on the lorulian counterparts to the Chain?
This is about them! It's showing why Ravio was in Legend's house in Hoarder of Legend, and what was going on behind the scenes.
Explanation for the AU here X X
“Did… anyone hear a door close?”
It was Realm who said it. Not surprisingly, as in his world he had to always be on guard, listening for the sound of Miharu tech spying on him.
They all froze.
Sol scowled, orange eyes narrowing sharply. “Of course we have to be here on the one day that some idiot decides to break into the hero’s house.”
Magic cleared his throat, lifting one finger. “Technically,” he said, drawing out the word, “aren’t we breaking into the Hero’s House?”
“Of course not!” Myth said, perhaps a bit more breezily than he had the right to. “I have partial rights over this house.”
Ages turned to glance at Myth, carefully arching an eyebrow. “You tricked him into signing something, didn’t you.”
Myth’s gaze shifted to one side. “…Why are we standing around here when Mr. Hero’s house is being invaded?”
“Windows, everybody,” Sea said, picking up the Sovereign Blade from where he had leaned it against the wall. Swords was already moving in that direction, anticipating Sea’s order, and a moment later he let out a gasp.
“…Link?”
Myth changed directions from the original window he was headed towards, running over to where Swords stood. “Are you sure? You’ve never met—” He looked out the window, and a gusty sigh of relief whooshed out. “That’s not Link, that’s some other guy.”
“So it is a burglar?” Flame asked with a faint quaver in his voice.
Ages leaned forward to look, smiling and setting a firm hand on Flame’s shoulder as he did. “Even if it is, we have surprise, skill, and numbers. We can handle it.”
He then looked out the window, blinked, and frowned. “…doesn’t he look like you, Swords?”
“That’s what I was trying to say!” Swords’ voice was somewhat strangled with surprise. “He’s my Link. From the war!”
“Wait, really?” Sol leaned forward, once again taking advantage of the fact that he was the tallest. “…you’re kidding me, it is him.”
“What’s he doing here?” Myth yelped, his Sheerow leaping in surprise. “This is nowhere near his timeline!”
“Do you think this could be from the war?” Sea asked, eyebrows furrowing.
“…Maybe.” Swords said slowly. “But he looks… a little different than I remember. Almost… older?”
“Hey,” Lorule said quietly, “The little guy next to him looks a lot like One.”
Everyone’s gaze swung down to stare at their smallest member.
Their stomachs dropped when they saw the near-painful lack of a smirk on his face.
“That’s him.” One said quietly, glancing away to one side. “That’s the Hero of Four.”
Myth’s gaze bounced from Swords, to the Hero of Warriors, to the Hero of Four, and back to One.
Then he threw his hands into the air. “Just what in the love of silver rupees is going on here?”
Sea leaned on the Sovereign Blade, eyes sharp. “Maybe… if we’re going on an adventure across time and space… who’s to say our counterparts aren’t, either?”
There were a few brief moments of silence as the Ravios soaked this in. Some of them were awestruck, their eyes glittering with excitement at the thought of getting the chance to met their counterparts. A couple (Sea and Magic) were looking at One in concern. Ages and Swords, on the other hand, were giving Sol very careful looks.
Sol grinned, though the expression was sharp and not very pleasant at all. “So would you say the hero of Twilight is here?”

Tell me more about Pokemon AU Ravio
Ravio my beloved <3
The basics is that he’s the fifth Gym Leader in the Hyrule Region’s League, and his Gym is officially set up in Kara Kara Bazaar. But the front of his Gym is also a shop, kind of like Striaton Gym in Unova also being a restaurant. But it was a bit of a journey for him to get to that point.
He’s originally from the Lorule Region, which borders the Hyrule Region through the Gerudo Desert. He first became interested in Hyrule when a travelling trainer by the name of Legend became his rival/mentor/unwilling travelling companion. Legend had gone to Lorule to compete in their contest circuit, but had previously competed in Hyrule’s Gym Challenge, so naturally Ravio coerced him into helping him train for his own league challenge. His rival in the challenge was Hilda, who eventually surpassed him to become the Lorule Region’s Champion, but during his run Ravio realized there were more exciting things to do than be Champion. So he started up a business, selling Lorule crafted pokeballs and other cool-looking trinkets to his Hyrulean customers. And when Kara Kara Bazaar needed a new Gym Leader, he was both qualified and popular enough to take over.
Of course, during his transition into Gym Leader, he had Legend stick around as his right hand man and top Gym Trainer. Fable and Hilda were both busy with their responsibilities, but they visited often. Eventually Legend landed himself an Elite Four position, one that Ravio would claim to have every responsibility for his accomplishment. But with Legend moved out, he had worried (privately, of course) that his friends would be too busy with their new jobs to spare the time to travel out and visit him. Those worries were completely unfounded, naturally, and he made more friends with the League members as he became more accustomed to his role. He especially caught on well with Sky, who was happy to compare Lorulean pokeball crafting techniques with the Rito ones he was familiar with. And of course Urbosa’s niece, Riju, had challenged him a few seasons ago, and now that she was done with her travels for the moment, she enjoyed coming over to visit and train with him.
As for his team, Sheerow the Natu was his starter. His Smeargle and Meowth (Alolan Form) like to help him run his shop and are excellent with the customers. His Purloin was a recent addition to his team, hatched from an egg gifted to him by Hilda that her Liepard laid. He also has a Pidove and Bunnelby on his main team, though like other League members he has other pokemon to use in his Gym and shop. His battle style is less about hitting hard and more about playing around another trainer, oftentimes their loss seeming to be due to a trip up from their side, but it was Ravio all along. Sneaky and a bit of a trickster, and oftentimes a good challenge to weed out Challengers at the halfway mark of the Gym Challenge.

The Legend of Hilda: A Link Between Worlds
Making Connections
Sheerow quickly became Sketch’s near constant companion. Anytime he left his home, the bird slipped out the door with him and either flew alongside him, or found a perch somewhere on his shoulders. For a while, having such a fragile creature out in the dangerous world with him only made him more nervous, but it soon became a comfort. Sheerow could and did alert him if anything was trying to sneak up on him, Sketch could talk at him and Sheerow would chirp in response, and he just overall helped put him at ease. He even helped Sketch gain the confidence to go into Thieves’ Town - with his face concealed, of course - and start trying to trade any surplus food or other goods he got his hands on for whatever else he might need. Sure, it was always a risk because anyone could have ulterior motives, but there were a few people that Sketch found reliable, if not trustworthy.
It was from some of his contacts that he learned more about the publicly detested royal family of Lorule. He hadn’t known many specifics about what the king did, but from what he heard and understood, it wasn’t much; most mentions of the king were jokes about how he was useless, and hiding behind his castle walls and mindless soldiers. It didn’t really line up with what his mother had told him about a dangerous man who might try to see Sketch dead, but he wasn’t about to test her words against his contacts’. The information did, however, make some rumors he heard a few months later particularly interesting.
Some people were saying the king had been poisoned, others said he succumbed to illness, and some said he was finally taking an active role in Lorule’s recovery... by kicking the bucket and letting the people get on with their lives in peace– though Sketch was pretty sure that last one was said by a thief, of all people. Whatever the truth was, the king was gone and not many people really cared, Sketch included. It wasn’t like Lorule could really get more dangerous, right? The only thing that might change is that he might not have to worry about running into the king’s soldiers, but he still planned to give the castle a wide berth. Whoever took over for the king may like him even less, and he wasn’t about to take chances.
A few weeks after the king’s passing, however, Sketch met an unfamiliar but oddly well-dressed girl on his way home. He was naturally suspicious, since who wouldn’t be, but not once did she try to get in close to steal something or attack him. If anything, she seemed entirely unaware of that sort of danger herself. Her only interest was conversation, as she claimed, and if her questions were anything to go by, she was telling the truth. To a degree, at least. She had a strange curiosity about his childhood, which Sketch answered, but he drew the line when she asked to see his face.
Stranger yet, she backed off when he refused. She even apologized. The conversation didn’t carry on much longer after that, but the final surprise came when the girl said that she hoped to meet him again soon, then left toward the castle. Though the girl had hidden her hair, much in the same way Sketch did his own, it wasn’t difficult to connect the dots. A well-dressed girl who covered her hair and lived in the castle? If that wasn’t the princess he’d sometimes heard mentioned in town, he’d be a little more than just shocked.
The next time she showed up, Sketch didn’t hesitate to confront her about it, at which point she formally introduced herself as Princess Hilda, but asked that he just call her Hilda. He obliged, but no matter how many times she came back to talk to him, he never understood why. She only ever wanted to talk, asking him things about actually living in Lorule, and about his opinions on matters far beyond his station. It was strange; but, at some point, Sketch grew accustomed to her presence and began to enjoy their conversations. He even invited her to his home, where she saw his face (and hair, such a similar shade to her’s) unobstructed.
She was his first, closest, and only friend, and he got the feeling she shared the sentiment. As the years went on, she began to invite him to the castle, swearing his safety when she saw his hesitance, because she wanted his opinion on matters that couldn’t easily be explained. Apparently, there were more political games going on in the castle than anyone in Thieves’ Town had any idea of, and the princess trusted Sketch’s judgment enough to take his advice on most matters. Living among thieves for his whole life helped him know a liar when he saw one, so their usual tricks didn’t work on him. As long as Sheerow was at his side and he was allowed to continue hiding his face, he was happy to give Hilda his opinion on anyone who tried to guide her hand for her.
After he helped uncover a particularly nasty plot, in which Sketch had almost gotten caught by those responsible, Hilda thanked him with a gift. She knew how rattled he undoubtedly was, so she gave him a bracelet - brown and musty, but with a bright purple stone worked into the leather. She told him it would help him escape from danger, like a protective charm.
What she did not tell him was that he would merge with the wall if he pressed his back to it. The night he discovered that feature was an alarming one, needless to say. Once he knew about it, though, he understood precisely how useful it could be when he really needed it, and so it became a permanent fixture upon his wrist.

I've thought up a really convoluted modern RavioLi au. Forgive me if it sucks I literally woke up and wrote this all in the middle of the night!
Link is park ranger, he fishes, widdles, and plays ocarina and sketches plants. He loves nature and the job allows him to isolate himself. He doesn't feel the stress of having to speak to people often, and as a ranger he still protects the land and enforces the law.
Ravio is a crafter on etsy he birdwatches, sees plushies, bakes, and is great at climbing, he is "camping" at the park, hes really living out of a tent because he ran away from an extremely abusive relationship. He keeps his face concealed by his hoodie because of the missing person posters that hes seen hanging in the park information center. He thinks its yuga trying to find him but really it was hilda who filed him missing. He wears his scarf all times because it was a gift from hilda.
Sheerow is a crow that ravio has fed and now it follows him and will occasionally leave him shiny baubles. He left the key on the window ledge that allowed ravio to escape also a bracelet that ravio think is his personal luck charm. It's really touching when he gives it to link to keep him safe.
Zelda is park superintendent. Shes crushing hard on hilda and is best friends with link. At first she is suspicious of ravio but she grows to find him adorable. After hilda and him remeet and its revealed why he kept his face concealed she is 100% understanding.
Hilda is daughter of a huge company that was going bankrupt she was ravios best friend since childhood when visiting her that's when he met yoga the vp of company and he isolated him. Hilda at first felt abandoned and angry but when ravio went missing she realized just how bad yoga was and still searches for him. She took full reign of company and to improve their public standing as a charity thing she contacted zelda to set up a fundraiser for the park. Part of the reason is she and ravio would have picnics there when they were kids. Through this connection by chance she reunites with ravio.
Ravio and hilda are half siblings hes illegitimate though so that's why he isnt part of the company however he is technically next in line after hilda. Yuga as vp is purposely running the business downhill, but in a way that reflects badly on hilda in an attempt to get her votes out by the stockholders. This would transfer it to ravio his "fiance". They would get married and either he'd use ravio as a figure head/obedient pet or get rid of him permanently and take over.

Red Birdie pt.2
Basically: The group ends up in Lorule and our favorite Lorulien gets hurt.
Warning: There’s some blood and injury stuff in here so don’t read if it makes you uncomfortable.
Alright so I might make a part 3 about the aftermath. No promises if or when it happens though.
-<>-<>-<>-<>-
On the ground there was Legend and Ravio. Legend looked scuffed up, like he had been in a fight. Ravio was...less alright.
“Hyrule get over here and help me!”
They had never heard Legend so panicked.
Hyrule rushed over and tried to figure out what was happening.
“Warriors, lay out a bedroll!”
Warriors was already moving by the time Time finished speaking.
Legend was gripping Ravio tight. He was holding one of the Merchant’s arms over his shoulders, it seemed that he had to walk while supporting Ravio to get back.
“What happened?” Hyrule asked urgently as he and Legend put the Lorulien on the bedroll.
“I was running to catch up but from what I saw he was attacked by some group of monsters. I barely got in there fast enough to help. The idiot shouldn’t have gone looking for me!”
Ravio was pale, paler than normal. He was limp, luckily just unconscious. His breathing was ragged and mumbles and groans were constant. And there was an ever growing red splotch of blood on his chest. Legend was next to his friend on the ground and was hesitantly touching over it.
A hiss of pain escaped from the merchant and Legend instantly removed his hand.
“What do we do?” The hero of Legend seemed at a loss.
Hyrule was pulling his pack over, there had to be something in there that could help. “You are going to get checked by Sky to make sure that you aren’t hurt either.”
“But—“
“But Four and I can handle this.”
“...”
“Please.”
Legend stood and backed away, Four rushed next to Hyrule the second he could, and Sky lead Legend few feet away.
“Four, help me take off his robe, I need to see the wound.”
With the two of them working together Hyrule and Four were able to remove the purple robe from the merchant.
The groans and hisses of pain weren’t uplifting, but it needed to be done.
“Wild can you start heating up some water, just make it a bit warm. We’ll need to clean this.” Four knew that Wild could handle that as they worked.
Now with a clear view of the wound they could tell that it would be hard. A few cuts littered his body from the monsters, along with a large gash on his stomach that wouldn’t be healed with just a potion.
Four searched his own bag for a potion while Hyrule applied pressure to the wound with a clean shirt he had in his bag. The merchant groaned.
Carefully lifting his head up, Four gave Ravio the potion and they could see many of the scattered cuts and bruises heal.
Like they had thought the gash didn’t completely heal, but it was much more manageable now. However, that didn’t stop the hisses of pain.
“Water’s ready.” Wild called. How he heated the water Four wasn’t sure, but at the moment he couldn’t care less.
“Perfect! Bring it over here please.” Four told Wild.
Wild brought a bucket full of warm water over to the two.
Four tore a few pieces of cloth from who knew where and got to work on cleaning the blood.
As the two of them worked, Legend was close to a full blown panic. Sky was still poking and prodding every bruise and scratch he could see.
Legend knew it was all his fault. He left his friends with no warning about where he was going, of course they were worried. And now one of the people who knew him best, who literally was him from another world, was hurt. It was all his fault and he was such a bad friend and he should have known better!
“It’s not your fault you know.”
The words are so sudden, so surprising, that all Legend can force himself to say is, “What?”
“I know what you’re thinking. It’s all your fault. You should’ve known better. He’s hurt because of you. None of that’s true.”
“He wouldn’t have been out there if he wasn’t looking for me!”
“Legend, you can't control what Ravio does. He chose to go.”
“He wouldn’t have had to make that choice if I hadn’t disappeared.”
Sky stared at him. Legend, the snarky level-headed adventurer was so sure, so sure, that it was his fault. Sky knew that he couldn’t offered the words Legend needed to hear, they needed to come from someone else.
The hero of the Sky sighed, “None of us blame you. You’re a good friend Legend.”
“Since when? Last I recall I was making Warriors regret ever speaking and insulting everyone else.”
“You’re kind in your own way. All the snark and insults are just your way of defending yourself.”
“I don’t have time for this.”
Before Sky could get in another word Legend was up and staring at his injured friend.
Hyrule was just finishing stitches and Four was prepared to bandage the wound.
Time, Twilight, and Wild were all in a group talking while glancing at Ravio and Legend constantly.
It seemed that Warriors was trying to distract Wind from this whole thing by telling stories of his Hyrule. Wind was going along with it, but that didn’t stop the worried looks he sent Legend’s way.
Quiet chatter were the only noises aside from sounds of pain from the merchant.
Legend watched intently as he sat against the wall with the crack in the wall leading to another world.
Some time later, which felt like years, Hyrule and Four finished. Placing a blanket over the merchant they let him be. They’d done all they could and now all anyone could do was wait.
Wild had set a fire in the fireplace and started cooking up soup.
As they ate, Wind asked the question that had been on everybody’s mind. “Will he be alright?”
Four and Hyrule looked at each other, at Ravio, and back at each other. “We can’t be sure right now, the potion did help, but it was a nasty cut.”
“Oh.” It was unsettling to hear the sailor so quiet.
They couldn’t help but glance at Legend who had moved from his spot so he could sit next to Ravio. Despite all their trying, he wouldn’t eat. The hero of Legend said he wasn’t hungry.
None of them had it in them to argue. They left the young man to his thoughts.
The house was quiet for a long time. At least until a thud was heard outside the door.
Everyone, including Legend, snapped their heads to the door. Time slowly stood up, they could hear rustling outside, he walked to the door, another thud, and opened it to reveal...
Ravio’s bunny hood floating in mid air.
“What?” Time was tired.
The hood simply flew past him and to Legend who seemed to understand what was going on.
The hood floated in front of the hero of Legend. Legend himself gave a half smile. “Hey little guy. It’s been awhile.”
He spoke so softly, maybe he was too tired to be mean.
Everyone else was seriously starting to question their sanity when Legend lifted the bunny hood revealing a bird.
Legend set the hood aside as the bird flew next to him. The bird had some unsettling red spots that covered most of its white feathers.
“Hey Wild, is there any water left?”
The hero of Wild quickly pieced together what Legend wanted to do and set a small bowl of water next to him.
The bird hopped into the bowl and Legend was careful to help wash out the red.
Legend looked up to see the group staring. “Stop looking at me like that!”
Nevermind, guess still had enough energy.
Most of the group quickly moved their gazes away from Legend. Wind however, decided to get closer.
“What do you want?”
Instead of answering, Wind gestures to the bird, “What’s its name?”
“Sheerow.”
“Huh. I never would have guessed that. I was thinking he’d—if it’s a he—be named something like Dove or Omen or something.”
Despite how upset he had been, Legend smiled.
-<>-<>-<>-<>-
It was a few hours later when Ravio woke.
Legend and Hyrule were the only ones awake. Hyrule because it was his shift. Legend because he was too stubborn to sleep.
Ravio groaned as he slowly became coherent. He weakly opened his eyes and smiled when he saw Sheerow sleeping on Legend’s lap. He saw Legend next. “Link!” What was supposed to be a cry of surprise ended up being a hoarse whisper.
Legend and Hyrule’s heads snapped to him. “Ravio? You’re up?”
“Yeah? Is that bad?”
Hyrule walked next to Legend and quickly assured the merchant that he was fine.
“What happened?” Ravio asked.
Hyrule and Legend gave each other a look.
“We should be asking you that.” Legend said.
“I was.. well looking for you.”
“I got that.”
“How’d you know Legend was back?” Hyrule asked. The other two looked at him wide eyed.
“What?” Legend whispered.
“Well he was looking for you and Hilda said it was just today that he did that. How’d he know?”
Both turned to look at the merchant who smiled sheepishly.
“I um kinda felt that you were here. Like a weird pull that said he’s back!”
No one was really sure what to make of it.
They sat in silence for a few moments before Ravio coughed, “Hey can I get my robe back?”

Prompt: Ravio and the Avengers
When Ravio at the end of A Link Between Worlds tries to go back to Lorule, something goes wrong and he ends up on Earth instead. With no items left and drained of what magic he had left, he is trapped and has to find a new way back home - and that's when he hears about the Tesseract, which might just be the solution he needs.
Does Ravio know what happened to spit him out on Earth instead of Lorule? Did he run out of magic? Or is it perhaps connected to when Bifrost was destroyed or something? Does he perhaps think Lorule was destroyed and that that's the reason he didn't get through?
Where and when on earth is he spit out? During Steve's original time? Is he spit out in Germany during the Loki's attack? In Afghanistan with Tony? Out in nowhere where Bruce/Hulk is? In a bustling New York? On the Helicarrier? In a Hydra base? Somewhere else?
What of possible language barriers?
Can Sheerow still go between worlds or can he only do that when it's between Lorule and Hyrule? If he can, will Ravio attempt to send a letter to Hilda and/or Link? And will said letter have any effect or will they still fight (if it even get's to them in time)? Will one of them die and will we know about it? Will Ravio find out what happens at some point? Will he even know if Link defeats Yuga or not?
Did he go through one of the cracks (and if so, will that crack remain or does it disappear?) or did he "world jump" by any other means? Was he aided by a maiamai?
How does he hear about the Tesseract?
Will he try to steal it and if so, how will he defend that decision? Remember, he goes to Hyrule to stop Hilda and Yuga from stealing the Triforce to begin with, so depending on what information he heard he might consider stealing it either an act that will help earth or an act that is exactly the same as what Yuga does.
How will the Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Loki react to him?

Aka an excuse to post more Pink Bunny stuff!
It’s Zelda’s turn to comfort Ravio. Slowly but surely, he’s beginning to accept help.

“You can still sense him out there?” Zelda asked, though she knew the answer. Ravio needed to speak more on this, and she would push him in the right direction.
“Somewhere,” Ravio mumbled. “He’s still alive, but… it’s faint. It’s been faint since yesterday like… like he doesn’t want me to know he’s still alive. Like he’s trying to break our connection.”
Zelda’s eyes widened. That made no sense; Link loved Ravio. They were best friends, as close as herself and Hilda. She knew how fond Link was of Ravio, knew his affection would never waver, even if Ravio upped and tried to resurrect Ganon.
So why was their link suddenly fragile? She would need to consider the implications of such a thing, but that would come later, once Ravio was resting. She would speak with Hilda on this, try and learn just what this could mean.
“Link would never,” she said firmly. “Perhaps…” she faltered there, uncertain. How could she know where Link might be, when he hadn’t come to her in months? “Perhaps, he has been called for another quest.”
Ravio scoffed. “He returned from one a handful of months ago. The Goddess always gives him at least a year between quests.”
Zelda was running out of ideas. She could sweet talk ambassadors from other kingdoms, could carefully guide her council into agreeing with one of her decisions. But here and now, she found herself frozen with uncertainty. “I…”
“I did this,” Ravio murmured. “I chased him away; this is all my fault.” His voice rose in pitch, and he was quick to clamp a hand down over his mouth as he shuddered in her lap.
This, Zelda could handle. “Oh, my dear. You don’t have to hold it in. You have a right to be frustrated and upset.”
Ravio sniffled. “But, I…”
“You are hurting,” Zelda said. “You have been hurting for so long. It is okay if you need to cry; you do not have to hide from me.”
Ravio’s breath hitched at her words, and she was quick to bring him into an embrace, grateful for her strength as she held him as close as possible. As he dissolved into soft sobs, his chest heaving against her, Sheerow landed on Zelda’s shoulder, pressing herself into Ravio’s hair, trying to comfort.
“You are okay,” Zelda murmured, holding him tighter, praying her words were enough. “I am here.”
“I miss him so, so much, Zel,” Ravio wept into her shoulder. “I miss m-my Link.”
“I know,” Zelda said, trying to keep her voice steady as her heart began to break in her chest. If she were in his position, if it had been Hilda who had disappeared… “I know,” she repeated, cursing the way her own eyes became wet.
“He hates me now. This is all my fault.”
Zelda shushed him softly, began to murmur comforts in response to his painful words, a vicious cycle that felt it would never end.
Finally, Ravio settled in her arms, slumping against her and sniffling occasionally. She began to run an arm up and down his back, smiled when he pressed closer.
“This is not your fault,” she said, now that he was in a state where he could listen.
Ravio hummed disbelievingly. Said nothing.
“It is not,” she insisted. “There has to be a reason for why your link is so weak. But for now, I do not want you to worry about anything. All you need to do is focus on getting better.”
“But… what about Link?”
“I have over half of my guards out looking for him. All of the townsfolk were eager to help. You should have seen Gulley.” She laughed lightly then, thinking back to when the young man had shoved his way to the front of the search party, eager to help a close friend of Link’s, even if he didn’t know they were searching for Link, and not Ravio’s rabbit. “Irene has been flying around nonstop all day, and at night she is staying in your cottage, keeping an eye out for Link.”
“She knows?”
“She put the pieces together herself. She will not tell anyone,” Zelda assured him. “She wants to help, like everyone else.”
“Oh…”
“You are not alone in this, my dear. We are all happy to take up the search, and we will bring Link to you the moment we find him,” she promised. Ravio deserved to be the first to know that the search was over, deserved the relief after everything he had been through.
Ravio sniffled, burrowing closer. “Okay.”

Also a note! I will be taking a little break from posting Pink Bunny snippets, folks. My brain needs a break from this project, so I’m putting it on hold for a little while to work on my novel—so no new snippets. I will continue updating the story every Wednesday though, don’t worry! Thank you all for reading and I hope to have more snippets soon <33

11 - ALBW headcanon that Ravio is actually the mastermind of the game
and the one manipulating Link into his Hero destiny.
Well...I mean, not entirely, not all the way from the start. Yuga's agenda is Yuga's alone, to get a Triforce and remake Lorule according to his own divine design. But once the ball is rolling, it's Ravio who runs with it for his own parallel-right-up-until-the-end goals.
I don't think Ravio's role in the game is supposed to be a mirror of Link's--finding courage and becoming a hero by facing your fears and no longer running away. I think he's playing up his ridiculous persona while pulling strings and directing Link--more of a Triforce of Wisdom role, more like Sheik in Ocarina of Time or Zelda in Skyward Sword. He's the one who gives Link the magic bracelet that enables him stand against Yuga and travel to Lorule; he's the one who provides the items Link needs to rescue the sages. Ravio's not a fighter, he's a strategist.
(And, following that, I don't think Princess Hilda is so much a mirror of Princess Zelda as her role reminds me of Link. Her persistence, her determination, her quest to save her kingdom even if it means she has to dirty her hands a bit, her cluelessly holding open doors for the evil villain [haha remember that time in Ocarina of Time when Link let Ganondorf into the Sacred Realm, and that time in Oracle of Ages when Link broke a sacred barrier so Veran could steal Nayru? Good going, Hero…]. Hilda almost doesn't give up at the end of the game. She strikes me as the kind of "strategist" whose strategy is "I'll fight them, and if that doesn't work, I'll just fight them harder.")
So when Lorule looked doomed, and Hilda couldn't find any way to save her kingdom, and Ravio was the last person left in her court, and suddenly Yuga showed up with his magic and his revelation of the Sacred Realm and, beyond that, Hyrule and its still-perfect Triforce, and revealed his plan to get their hands on it and restore Lorule…
I see Ravio trying to get Princess Hilda alone to go: "Okay, okay, so this sounds like a valid plan, I don't trust Yuga as far as I can throw him which, I can't, but his strategy sounds solid. So like we go to this Hyrule and we 'kidnap' the sages, alright, I'm with you there, so then that makes Hyrule's Hero pop up out of nowhere just like in all their legends and he comes to save them, good good. We let the Hero do his thing, the sages give the Hero Hyrule's Triforce in the Sacred Realm, so now it's out and about in the world, that's all great. But like okay hear me out here WHAT IF, novel idea I know but what if instead of stealing it we just, like, ask the Hero. Who likes saving people and kingdoms and shit. If he would use Hyrule's Triforce the way it's intended in the legends and you know. Just wish for Lorule to have a Triforce again. No stealing no doom just two happy kingdoms, let's totally ditch Yuga and start kidnapping people ourselves what do you say?"
And when Hilda doesn't listen--when she's too caught up in Yuga's plan, too afraid of losing everything to trust Hyrule, too stupidly noble to realize that Yuga is obviously planning to betray her in the end, too difficult to get alone and in private where Yuga's not gonna know what's up and probably turn Ravio into a painting...Ravio decides, you know what, he can work with this. It's still a pretty solid plan, except for that end bit, it's the best plan they've ever had, now that they know about Hyrule and its Triforce and how you go about getting it into a usable position.
So long as he wears a disguise and no one catches him interfering with their Hero it's all good, right? Haha, it's going to be all good, yessiree, Sheerow please remember him fondly if he gets murdered for this.
And so Ravio finds Link (okay, first he finds Osfala, but in hindsight he probably should have known that the guy bragging about saving the kingdom was gonna be a bust, while the guy who knocked himself out running into a wall trying to fight Yuga had "hero" written all over him), and he gives him the bracelet while lying his ass off (woooow, it did what now? Who knew that would happen it's not like that's what I used to get over here to Hyrule, haha!), and he rents and sells him items (Triforce of Wisdom not Triforce of Poverty, lining his pockets in the course of helping out the Hero is called resourcefulness! Consider it donations to the Lorule Restoration Fund!), and then he bursts in on the final boss battle to go "PRINCESS HILDA NO YOU ARE NOT AN EVIL VILLAIN SO WHY U DO THIS."
And I really don't think that Ravio was content to just give up on Lorule and let it perish. He finally convinced Princess Hilda to give up the fight at long last...but it was strategy, all along. Lose the battle win the war, run away to fight another day, etc etc.
Let Princess Zelda and Link walk away with Hyrule's Triforce, okay, we don't have to doom Hyrule to Lorule's fate. Because we've met them now, they're both clearly nice empathetic people who likes being heroes and saving people and they've just heard our sob story, in about three minutes at least one of the two of them is going to say "Hey but what if we made a wish on the Triforce for Lorule to be saved???", especially after we've just made a huge show of being nobly resigned to our fates, trust in their bleeding hearts, it's all going to be great.
Don't worry about all your villain schpeals, Hilda, they know Yuga was manipulating you and anyway I totally Stockholmed Link good, he won't just leave his buddy to die.
...haha man I hope he's not holding a grudge about the item rental shop biz...

The Legend of Hilda: A Link Between Worlds
Hyrule
When Sketch emerged into the other world, the deja vu was overwhelming. It was even twofold; like the color and life from the Lucedine Glade had been painted onto Lorule’s landscape. The grass was green, the sky was blue, and there was an atmosphere of warmth that just didn’t exist at home. Maybe Sketch might have been able to enjoy it, if the knowledge that even this place might soon wither and die hadn’t been hanging over his head.
He was there for a reason. He had to remember that.
Sketch wandered around the kingdom - which he soon learned was called Hyrule, nearly making him laugh - for a few days, seeking out places that would likely be of interest to any ‘hero’ that might wander by. He placed signs depicting an item that he thought might help someone get through them, since he was sure his items would be better suited to the task than anything here. It was only after passing through that Kakariko place, where he got a decent idea of how much he could charge to rent his magical items out, that he got the idea to do so.
His first plan was to just be some kind of wandering merchant. He knew where the hero would probably need each item, after all, not to mention that Hyrule had far fewer monsters roaming around than Lorule did. He was even telling Sheerow how crazy it was that he hadn’t seen anything more dangerous than a crow since they made it down from the mountains, when a sudden scream pierced the air. Sketch didn’t even have time to think before he found himself hiding behind a large boulder next to a cliff’s edge.
The sound had come from below him. That much he was sure of. He could peek over the edge down at a white stone building at the foot of the mountain, where two people were clearly freaking out. Only a few seconds later, there was a bright flash in the sun as one of the two revealed a sword and rushed off toward the graveyard. As Sketch watched him open a secret tunnel under a tombstone, a tiny glimmer of hope came to life in his chest. Surely someone who ran into danger without so much as a second thought was a hero, right? He’d just have to find him later and-
The blinding flash of powerful magic shone through the windows. Shielding his eyes, Sketch urged Sheerow to fly down and investigate. The bird obliged, but hardly a moment later, the light died and a bone-chillingly familiar laugh sent Sketch scrambling to hide behind the boulder again. He dared to peek over the edge again just in time to see Yuga leaving the building– a blue-framed painting under his arm.
He watched Yuga until he disappeared from sight, rooted to the spot by fear. By some miracle, he hadn’t been spotted, but Yuga’s presence at all meant that Sketch was already running out of time. He had to find the hero before Yuga or Hilda did, and if the fact that nobody else was coming out of that building was any indication? Sketch just hoped that one guy didn’t die in the tunnel under the graveyard. Soon enough, Sketch heard Sheerow give him the all clear. Satisfied that Yuga was gone and everything had to be at least reasonably safe, he went to investigate himself.
Inside the building, Sketch found the supposed hero, collapsed on the ground in front of a wall. Even more surprising than the nasty mark on his face was the fact that it was Sketch’s face - almost like looking in a mirror. Sure, Sketch had seen several people in Hyrule that looked almost exactly like some of his contacts in Lorule, but this was something else altogether. Still, the sword he’d seen before was lying on the floor next to him, so this had to be the person he’d seen in the graveyard.
Yikes. Some hero this guy would be.
Still, Sketch couldn’t just leave him there. Something about the thought just felt wrong. If this person was his parallel-world self, then it didn’t seem too far-fetched to think that his home would be in the same general area as Sketch’s was in Lorule. Everything else seemed to line up pretty well, at least. Soon enough, Sketch awkwardly managed to hoist his lookalike onto his back, carrying him toward home as quickly and quietly as he could.

The Legend of Hilda: A Link Between Worlds
Returning to Lorule
Almost as soon as the hero was gone, Sketch regretted not saying anything. He should have– it was the whole point of coming here! He needed to somehow get back to Lorule. If he could just do that, then maybe there was still a chance of changing Hilda’s mind before she got that legendary sword stuck in her.
He just needed a way back.
Without the bracelet, traveling between Hyrule and Lorule should’ve been impossible; it was part of why Hilda hadn’t come herself. But then, Sketch remembered that Sheerow was able to do it, somehow. He’d gotten the Sand Rod back from that sage when he had been in Lorule, and had collected other tools from Link once or twice from the kingdom as well, so he had to be able to cross through one way or another. In a burst of desperate hope, he remembered Link telling him about a creature that had the ability to boost the power of his items. Sure, it was a little weird when the hero told him that she’d upgraded him, but the point was that she could do the same for living creatures too. He just had to find her, first.
Leaving Link’s house was far easier once he knew for certain that Yuga wasn’t going to be lurking around the corner. Not to mention, Lake Hylia wasn’t far. It didn’t take long to get there, especially with how fast he was running. The creature - Mother Maiamai - was nice, if a little weird looking, but all it took was confirming that she knew Link for the floodgates to open.
Sketch explained as much as he could, begging her to help him so he could help Link. He even pushed back his hood as a last-ditch effort to convince her; and to his eternal surprise, relief, and gratitude, she agreed. Sheerow was a little less pleased about getting sucked into an octopus creature’s mouth, but he just made his anger known with a few pecks to Sketch as opposed to Mother Maiamai. That was fine.
As soon as they arrived back in Lorule, Sketch immediately raced to the castle. He had no idea how much time he had, but it couldn’t possibly be much. The halls were eerily quiet, probably cleared out by Link not long before, but he could hear the sound of battle echoing louder and louder as he navigated his way to it. It was a good thing he knew the castle as well as he did, otherwise he absolutely would have gotten lost.
He didn’t know whether to blame coincidence, luck, the grace of the gods, or all three when he finally caught sight of the battlefield. Hilda was there, as well as Link and who he could only assume was Hyrule’s princess. All of them were alive, though Hilda had an absolutely murderous look in her eyes as she demanded the Triforce of Courage one last time.
Sketch finally didn’t hesitate to speak. He ran in, shouting for them to stop, and it was only after he’d gotten their furious and confused attention on him that he pushed his hood back once more (after an embarrassing tumble, but all the same). Hilda looked even more outraged, and Sketch was almost certain that was going to be the end of him, but he kept speaking anyway. He didn’t know if it was because she was holding the Triforce of Wisdom now or not, but his words finally got through to her.
The relief when she finally backed down was overwhelming.
