8.) thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: I don't know if I'd necessarily say it gives me second hand embarrassment, but it mostly just makes me snicker and go "omfg you little NERD" but probably his "Sharp erryday" line. This isn't necessarily my embarrassment either, but I LOVE in the ChocoMog Festival when he follows the Moogle dance all "Huh? Like this?" and then rubs the back of his neck all shy and goes "Can't believe I just did that." *clutches chest* I just lovehimsomuch ;u;

I just think there's a lot of mutual respect and trust between them and there's part of me that wants to explore it more sometimes! 4.) notp: Again, gonna keep to myself ^^; 5.) first headcanon that pops into my head: While Nyx was given the moniker of "Hero", his own personal Hero is his Mama. It's funny, because I think from the perspective of OTHER CHARACTERS in FFXV, they'd dub Nyx problematic fave in a heartbeat lmao. Me personally, though? The smug cool Hero dude who, at the end of the day, thinks his life is worthless? Your honor that is my battle hardened cinnamon roll, who, SURE, can at times be a smart-mouthed trouble-making asshole. I take no criticism on this, thank you. (also if you ask me, he looks like he can kill you and will actually kill you. but still my battle hardened cinnamon roll)

overall opinion: holy shit i love you and i love niko and i love the way you play him and i love the way you really show his duality and i love the way he learned to respect mercy and how that respect turned to admiration and the way that admiration turned to full on attraction and how that attraction turned to awkward dating but not dating and how that awkward dating but not dating eventually turned into actual dating and how that led to mercy finally kissing him and how that kiss made him feel relief more than anything else but then how all of that turned into something even more awkward and how that led to mercy realizing finally how much she actually truly loved him despite never having been in love and despite the hurt that it caused and the way they both dealt with it (two hardened killers acting like BABIES omggggg) until finally, finally they were able to come to terms with it and are now left wondering where they’re supposed to go from here since they’ve never done anything like this before... Fanon vs. Canon Shigaraki

This post gained a lot more traction than expected, so quick edit: the “canon” discussed below is only my personal interpretation of canon, and this post is definitely not intended to be a guide for characterizing Shigaraki in every fanfic! Please don’t use this meta to criticize anyone else’s writing, as that was not my intention. Everyone should feel free to create what they enjoy! 

Look y’all, I ain’t one to judge, but I love canon-based fics and sometimes the massive gap between Shigaraki in fanon and Shigaraki in BNHA’s canon just has me going whaaa???

I mean, like...

Fanon Shigaraki: Abhors all human contact. Lurks in his bedroom 24/7. Never speaks to others except to bitch them out. A vampire who will combust upon setting foot outside his lair.

Canon Shigaraki: Seen alone in his bedroom a grand total of one (1) time in the series; the only other time his room is shown, the rest of the entire League is squeezed in there too. Never out of contact with his followers except Dabi who is the real antisocial bitch here. Longest he’s ever been drawn spending time by himself without another major character to keep him company? Two pages. Gets mad... GOES TO THE MALL.

Fanon Shigaraki: Vocabulary consists of 80% “I’ll kill you” and 20% “Fuck off.” 1000% RAGE ALL DAY ERRYDAY. Has no concept of a good mood. Wouldn’t know how to smile if he tried. Either one step from a temper tantrum or one step from murder, there is NO IN BETWEEN BUT THERE IS FREQUENT OVERLAP.

Canon Shigaraki: Demonstrates the development of remarkable restraint, even when Bakugou damages precious “Father”...

Constantly comments on other people’s bad manners all right, this one might be a little hypocritical, but at least we know he knows what proper manners are... Is referred to on multiple occasions as being pleased with the League members’ work, implying they’ve seen him actively happy... Compliments people (even heroes) when they impress him... The second most likely villain to say “Thanks” (behind only Toga)...

Fanon Shigaraki: Can’t insult his comrades often enough. Say something nice about another human being? Hard pass. Friends? Quote: “I would rather die.” Only suffers the League because he’s forced to have allies to defeat the heroes; zero emotional attachment to his comrades unless he’s written as sleeping with Dabi and even then half the time this is still true. Would not give a fuck if half of them died except for how it would inconvenience him.

Canon Shigaraki: Is he still manipulating the League members to use their strength to further his own agenda? Oh for sure. BUT AT LEAST HE’S DOING IT POLITELY.

Since the formation of the core “League,” he frequently talks positively about his comrades, even when they’re not around to hear it:

Knows his allies well enough that he can send them out without instructions and still trust that they will act in exactly the League’s best interests:

Expresses concern for the other members’ well-being:

And has zero hesitation about throwing himself into potentially deadly situations to protect the rest of the League:

Fanon Shigaraki: An innocent, traumatized angel who had no choice but to become evil; he definitely wouldn’t be this way if he knew better! Sometimes written as a weakling who needs to be defended from anyone, everyone, the world, and especially All For One. Feeble waif, constantly on the edge of wasting away. Might cry himself to sleep at night. Never Been Touched/Don’t-Touch-Me-I-am-the-NIGHT™.

Canon Shigaraki: Craves violence like candy...

Close combat quirk means he’s always up in other people’s business... Personal space bubbles are for the weak.

Easily capable of controlling the bickering and assuaging the concerns of his team members...

An unmitigated badass who carries on whole conversations while bleeding out from bullet wounds to every limb...

And jumps from speeding vehicles without a moment’s pause. There was literally no reason for him to be on the roof of the truck EXCEPT for it looking badass. This boy is just Extra AF and I won’t hear any arguments to the contrary.

EDIT to add one more because this is also bugging me:

Fanon Shigaraki: Absolutely the worst at adapting to new scenarios. Violently rejects any form of change. Has a comfort zone the size of a wasabi pea and only ever comes out of that comfort zone kicking and screaming, dragged by another major character. Every ounce of character growth will take twelve chapters and a dramatic mental breakdown to overcome.

Canon Shigaraki: (Deliberately) Tied with Midoriya for being the most adaptive character in the series.

Never tries the same strategy twice...

Learns from, consumes, and grows by flexibly incorporating the plans and attitudes of other villains...

Actively and intentionally changes entire facets of his own behavior to further his agenda...

What MAKES Shigaraki so terrifying and effective as a villain is that he is so flexible and capable of change. He demonstrates the ability to admit and learn from his mistakes, to build new plans on the fly, to gain deeper understanding of how other people work (and can be manipulated) and to quickly and easily put everything he learns into action to forward his goals. He’s fascinating in his ability to simply pick up or discard new attitudes to suit his own ends, and his actions continuously call into question what aspects of Shigaraki’s personality/behavior are genuine and which are merely a construct he’s built up deliberately to further his own and All For One’s dreams.

Shigaraki Tomura is incredible at adapting to challenges, can blend in exactly when, where, and as much as he needs to, and is significantly more open to change than virtually any other villain we’ve seen so far in the series.

But I feel like it’s rare to see this side of him in fandom portrayals?

Sure, Shigaraki is still violent, unhinged, quick-tempered, and definitely keeping things secret from the rest of the League to use them to his benefit... But uhhhh...

He’s also become a ferocious defender to his men. His actively antisocial behavior (always exaggerated) has become increasingly reduced in the story--Tomura is virtually always seen in the company of others (contrast Twice and Spinner, who we’re deliberately shown spending time alone, and Dabi, who appears to frequently work without the rest of the League). Shigaraki exhibits a reasonable gamut of emotions, including many of which are not “Go die,” and he shows a positive and grateful attitude towards his comrades (might be fake, but still at least he’s bothering to fake it, unlike Chisaki). He’s also been shown to be a great actor, both in serious scenes and in silly ones, such as his doofy reaction to Uraraka...

In terms of leadership, Tomura has advanced to the point that he’s the one promoting group solidarity, allows and wants others to think of the League as close-knit, and knows his comrades well enough to rely on them in meaningful situations. We’re led to believe he was earnest in his attempts to recruit Bakugou, that Toga has seen him happy on at least a few occasions, and that he’s okay with bringing the rest of the League into what likely qualifies as his home (something none of the other League members have ever done, at least that we’ve seen).

Furthermore, every confrontation he’s been in in the manga can only lead readers to the conclusion that Shigaraki is an absolute beast on the battlefield, easily the League’s strongest and most dangerous player, and more likely to be protecting the other League members than being protected...

So like, I ain’t out here about to criticize anyone else’s portrayals of Shigaraki in their own works, and this isn’t intended to be a guide on how to write or not write Shigaraki in fics, but I do find myself wishing his characterization in fanworks showed the same evolution as his character in the actual story.

Why write level 1 Tomura behavior when my boy is out here grinding his way to 99???

Drama CD: [SEVENTH HEAVEN] Vol.3 -Itsuki-

[Synopsis] The Seventh Heaven are the 7 Gods of Death who can deliver people into a blissful death by serenading them with their songs. They only appear to those who truly wish to die. Once they have been seen, you have to stay with them in their Hiiragi Mansion until the final moment of death arrives...

You wake up in an unfamiliar room, and Itsuki (CV. Takahashi Naozumi) is waiting anxiously by your bedside. To his surprise, you had tried to take your own life by drowning yourself in the creepy river in the woods or whatever, so he brought you here and changed you out of your wet clothes.

As you keep staring at his face, at first he thought you were hungry (#logic), then later he realises... OMG you don't recognise him anymore. He's your long-time childhood friend, whom you just hung out with this morning!! AND! You promised to make his favourite plain omelettes next time!!!! NOOOOOOO~~~

After collecting himself, he apologises for his overreaction and re-introduces himself to you. Apparently you forgot who he was after arriving at Hiiragi Mansion. He also tells you that he is actually a God of Death, who can sing you into the next world.

Morning. He comes to look for you and *escorts* you to the rose garden, explaining to you the flower meanings: red rose = 'I AM DYING TO GET WIT U BAE'. But before he could warn you, you already tried to pick the rose and ofc cut your finger on its thorns. (Wouldn't be an otome story without the heroine injuring herself like a 3-year-old and her guy coming to the rescue, amirite?)

He disinfects and slaps a band-aid on you, and you apologise for being a clumsy idiot and giving him trouble. Then you get this super constipated look on your face,... and turns out you wanted to ask how he became your childhood friend as a God of Death.

Basically: Itsuki was reallllly bored with taking lives and singing death ballads all day erryday, so then Kanade (his boss) told him that there is an ultra-pure soul nearby who will end up taking her own life. He decided to seek out this soul, and he came to meet you when you were still a baby. Not only could you see him, but also you were all like ヽ(*ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉｱﾋｬﾋｬ when you saw him.

So then he was all like ｱﾋｬﾋｬﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ too, and he asked Kanade to allow him to live close to you disguised as a human. After doing *many favours* for Kanade (fufufufufu), Kanade finally agreed, and that's how Itsuki became the Boy Next Door whom you grew up with.

But he also made a promise with Kanade, that when you finally choose to come to Hiiragi Mansion, he would do his job and sing you the death lullaby to send you on your way. At first he kept guessing if your time has come when you were feeling down or depressed, but as time passed, he began to want to cheer you up when you cry and not let anything hurt you. He even wished that you would be the happiest person in the world, and that he could appear before you as a normal man.

...You have a dream where Itsuki went to great lengths to win you a rare special teddy bear that you really wanted. He teases you a bit as he gives it to you and reminds you that today is your birthday. Just then you get a msg alert on your phone, and he gets a bit jealous thinking it's from another guy.

As his childhood friend, you have promised to spend this day with him, and he makes you promise to spend your birthday together every year. Then he asks you to be his girlfriend, and pretends to be hurt by your surprised reaction. He confesses that he has strong feelings for you for a long time now, and says he will wait for your answer...

You wake up to the clock chiming and Itsuki telling you 'I'VE BEEN WATCHING U SLEEP' (´◉◞౪◟◉). You tell him that you dreamt about him, and after wrestling with his own sense of embarrassment for a while, he admits that the dream really happened, and asks if you are ready to answer him now. (At the time, you told him that you needed time to think about it.)

He adds that he doesn't want to lose you to other guys, and he doesn't want you to go anywhere - including to the next world. He asks you to dump all your pain on him and tell him that you want to live on.

You nod in reply, which makes him happy, and he reveals his *big plan*: Apparently, the Seventh Heaven have one chance to save a human soul by rejecting their own purpose / authority as Gods of Death while singing their death ballad. He found this out by sneaking into Kanade's room and peeking at confidential documents, and he was planning to do this regardless of your wishes.

You ask what's going to happen to *him* if he does this, and he tells you not to worry about that. (Probably just... become Kanade's sex slave forever XDD.) He says that you will lose your memory and forget about him afterwards anyway, and you make a super #sadpanda face in response. So he quickly comforts you by saying that he won't let that happen, or else he will just re-introduce himself until you remember.

At dusk, you go to the rooftop and see him there. The two of you do some deep breathing exercises that devolved into a tickle fight, which gives you a good chance to fondle his man pecs (*by accident* hehehehe ლ（ ^ิ౪^ิ ლ）). Then he notices that something's on your mind - clearly, it's about Operation Soul Saving.

To put your mind at ease, he tells you again not to worry, and asks you if there's anything you want to do. You want to fondle other parts of him a hug, which he happily gives to you. You also question if he has sent any other woman to the next world with his death ballad, and your jealousy pleases him. He tells you that he was always thinking of YOU when he was doing it (by which I mean *singing*, get your mind out of the gutter ffs) to other women.

The hug made him so...umm... happy, that he wanted to take you right there and then. But ofc you cockblock him, so he excuses himself and goes back to his room to cry and jerk off to porno cool his head.

ONE DAY, he finds you chopping ingredients in the kitchen. Turns out you are making his favourite plain omelettes!! He is overjoyed and devours your dish in 2 seconds. Btw, as a God of Death he has no taste buds, but the omelettes made him *feel* good anyway even though it tasted like nothing lmao.

The truth is, you cooked for him as thanks for his plan to save your soul. You ask if there's anything else he wants, and he hesitates before finally revealing that he wants... more of you. Regular hugs are not enough for him anymore; he wants to hug you with his dick too. As a God of Death, he would make a good partner because he will outlive you for sure and you won't ever have to worry about being widowed. #convincingargumentlol. He asks you to think about it and give him your reply the following night.

For a while I taught myself piano but apparently I’m a rather boring teacher. But I can sing. If you’re around me for more than five minutes, I WILL sing.

James and Patsy. 

Guava: dark & dramatic makeup or natural makeup?

Personal preference? Super natural. Like mascara and that’s it. Most makeup gives me a weird headache so even though I enjoy how I look, I can’t wear it often or for long periods of time. Before this weird allergy appeared, I used to do a lot of weird, fun stuff with makeup.

Tangelo: if you could be any mythical creature, which would you be?

A dragon. My life would probably be short-lived, but I would get to fly and to roast people’s outfits (quite literally). So yeah, a dragon.

Coconut: favorite perfume?

Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia. It works really well with my body chemistry and is light and wonderful smelling.

Lychee: satin or lace?

To wear? Well, in general: satin. As underwear: lace, all day erryday.

Blueberry: what do you want to dress up as for Halloween?

Not sure yet but there will be at least 3 costumes. We’re going to Comic Con in July and all my costume focus in on that–Arya Stark, Darkcissa (a very edgy version of Narcissa I do), Loki, River Song (two outfits: Day of the Moon green dress and Let’s Kill Hitler transformation outfit), and possibly Lady Stoneheart or the Silk Spectre OG version or Helena from Orphan Black. Also a really fun one that I’m keeping under wraps for now.

Apple: what do you use more, tumblr or twitter?

Tumblr, for sure. Twitter just makes me anxious and angry these days.

Watermelon: do you have a job? if so, what is your job title?

I’m a nanny. *cue literally any Mary Poppins song* These days I tend to work with children who have spectrum behaviors or similar needs, from nonverbal autism with global apraxia to severe ADHD (we’re talking debilitating inability to focus) to Oppositional Defiant Disorder. A lot of times I help parents connect with services such as cognitive behavioral therapists and neuropsychologists, to help them learn how to parent in a NNT style.  

Cranberry: favorite time of the day: morning, afternoon, dusk, or night?

Um all of them? I just really like being alive. Morning is the best time for writing, afternoon is the best time for naps and artwork, dusk is the best time for walks and adventures, and night is just dark and so full of possibility, anything can happen.

Nectarine: would you consider yourself an emotional person?

*wipes back tears* no, why would you ask that? Seriously, though. Yes. I cry a lot. Happy tears, sad tears, empathetic tears. I experience joy very easily, and inexplicable sadness more often than is strictly comfortable. I feel my life and that is extremely important to me. Also, I’m a Cancer so…typical.

Orange: do you have long eyelashes?

Yes. But my sister’s are longer. Ugh. I hate her for it.

Apricot: what do you do when you’re sad?

I sit with my sadness, usually. If I don’t really know where it’s coming from, I self-psychoanalyze until I figure it out. Not to sound overdramatic, but I have experienced a lot of grief and death in my life, so sadness happens quite a lot. She’s not quite an old friend, but more like a cat that has adopted me. She’ll stop by the house sometimes and I’ll let her keep me company until she drifts away. 

If it’s actual depression, usually I sit in the dark and watch reruns of Fraiser until my roomie finds me and reminds me to have food. And I tell myself this too shall pass, as it did before, and I wait. There’s not much else you can do.

Star Fruit: favorite sea creature?

NOT FISH, that’s for certain. I find just about any type of whale pretty fascinating. WAIT DO SEA OTTERS COUNT BECAUSE IF SO DEFINITELY SEA OTTERS.

Oh, the stories my liver could tell you. Nowadays I don’t drink much because I don’t like how blah my body feels afterwards and how it affects my skin. I’ve only been white-girl wasted once in my life and lemme tell you, once was enough.

smile; what is one thing that has greatly affected you?

mmm i’d actually say this studyblr?

i started this studyblr in the hopes of motivating myself and others when it came to studying and academia, etc.

and the studyblr community just welcomed me with open arms and really made me feel great

and then the blog began to take off and now i’ve got myself an amazing amount of support and love and followings, so it’s something that really  inspires me to keep up my studies.

this studyblr has changed my life, perhaps not in a great stunning way but it’s really become an essential part of my life!!!

toot; what is something you find unique about yourself?

my pure dumb uh it’s kind of weird to describe but the way i move forward?

like okay, i’m honestly not really the most motivated person in the world, nor am i really the most passionate person in the world either. i like to go with the flow and just kinda chill, ya feel?

but once i kinda feel like ‘oh, i should do this’, i end up doing it? it’s not like it’s pure determination, but once i’ve decided to go with something, i’ll go through with it. it’s why i’m studying STEM rn, lolol.

Wisteria: What’s your favorite thing about yourself?

hmm. like physically? or mentally?? physically I’ve been feeling a lot of love for my legs lately. like yea I’ve got thunder thighs, but these suckers keep me upright and moving all day erryday and I can walk several miles at a time without getting too tired or sore so that’s cool. (also I’m getting really good at squats!) mentally, I’d have to go with either my determination, or my instinct to be kind to others despite some of the unkindnesses I’ve experienced.

Cornflower: What do you think about the most?

lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how the more I think I know about people, and society, and even fictional characters and tropes and archetypes, the less I really understand. Like, just when I think I’ve got a person or a character figured out, or a plot sorted out, or a plan in place for my own life, something else happens that makes me need to start over from the ground up. Existence as we know it is inherently complex and messy and not really meant to be understood, and so our fictional depictions of it are also flawed and complex and messy.

Periwinkle: What’s something ordinary that has personal meaning to you?

my dog. he’s a Jack Russell terrier/Chihuahua mix, and he’s not particularly extraordinary as dogs go (aside from having a canine case of anxiety disorder, ha) but I love him dearly and he’s the thing I live for through my darkest times.

Alright, so. I didn’t necessarily partake in the RPC Positivity Week, but it was so incredible and inspiring to see so many others building each other up and spreading love instead of hate which I feel like is so needed in this community in particular but in this crazy world right now in general. I’ve been feeling the need to write out a bit of gratitude, because I really feel like I’m not always as vocal as I should be in how much I appreciate the love and support of everyone I’ve come to know here but here goes nothing. @kalxidoscopc: Della is literally always one of the most enthusiastic and optimistic people. You literally light up my day with your endless well of exuberance even after you’ve had a ridiculously long and terrible work day you have this incredible ability of reaching others and making everything a little bit better with just your passion in all things. You’re a serious trooper my fellow service industry friend, but your love of your characters show through with all of your dedication to each and every one of them and all of your tailored verses. I’m forever impressed with you and yes, you’re still forever my squishy. @joneshead: I will try and temper what I say here because I’m not trying to fill my Betty Cooper-size notebook with how amazing I think you are as a writer, person and especially my best friend. You have become my lifemate and even begrudgingly, I’m grateful when you pester me about drinking water and eating foods that won’t kill me in ten years or less. In the overall community, I’ve always felt you’re an incredible inspiration. So I have 3 FAV holidays. 1. Easter Weekend (The Whole Sha-bang) 2. Taco Tuesday (which is like ERRYDAY) 3. National Thrift Shop Day (Obviously) SO 2 of the reasons Easter is my favorite holiday 1. Because it’s the reason I exist. It signifies so much more to me than just Jesus dying on the cross & Him resurrecting 3 days later. It signifies my redemption & His sacrificial LOVE he has for me. A person who is so undeserving of the LOVE he gave me when he was beaten & nailed to a cross, FOR MY SINS. A person who has screwed up so much & doesn’t always think or love like Jesus does. A person whose life choices didn’t always match up with how a Christian should live & someone who falls short EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. But I know that through all the HELL I’ve been through, His LOVE has always been so tangible. I have always felt His hand over me, no matter what I faced. 5 years ago, when I was an addict & homeless & cried out to him to help me & to please save me, he came running & now I try to do the same. He called me to be a fisher of men & that is why I started my Posh closet, to share the GOOD NEWS & how Jesus changed my life. Which brings me to the 2nd reason I love Easter. My church @thecourageouschurch ALWAYS makes the MOST LEGIT invitations for Easter service & I always grab A HUGE stack so I can hand them out to ERRYBODY! Auntie Zelda, I'm in my early twenties and I want to start taking better care of my skin. Moisturizing and stuff. But I have no idea where to start. Any tips?

BOY DO I

First, congrats, your skin is already happy. Second, these are all general tips - you have to adapt it your skin and its needs (different products if it’s oily/dry/sensitive/prone to breakouts, etc).

Here’s the bare bones: cleanser, moisturizer, eye cream, sunscreen. Those are the alphas and omegas. You can experiment with exfoliators, peels, and serums down the line but those 4 cannot be skipped or skimped!

Cleanser - just face soap to wash the grime from the day, keeps your face clean and is way gentler than regular soap - it’s made with the delicate ph of your face in mind. Clean your face at night and in the morning before your makeup routine. 

BRANDS I RECOMMEND: Cetaphil and Cerave have great cheap cleansers that you can find anywhere. My favorite cleanser/makeup remover is Bioderma eau micellaire (micellar water) and it’s perfect and sooo easy - you remove makeup and cleanse all in one go, and since it looks and feels like water it’s easier to put on and remove than soap. Bioderma is a French brand, but some brands in the states have started their own version (I think Garnier has some??)

Moisturizer - your numero uno. It’s what needs to go on your face ERRYDAY, one for the day that’s light and may have UV protection, and a heavier one for night to really soak those cells. MOISTURIZE ME!!!! 

BRANDS I RECOMMEND: Again, Cetaphil and Cerave. Clinique makes great ones too, Nivea has a famous night cream (it was a tad too heavy for me). If you wanna get fancy and find a really posh one, get yourself on Sephora, Ulta and check out their top rated brands. I always check Paula’s Choice Beautypedia too to see what ingredients they put in there. REMEMBER: JUST CAUSE IT’S EXPENSIVE, DOESN’T MEAN IT’S WORTH IT, ESPECIALLY FOR MOISTURIZER. Spoiler alert: that caviar shit? It’s just omega 3 you can get anywhere. No need to pay $400 a pot (!!!) just to get it from caviar. Rippoff time! PROTIP - no pots! only pumps! Pot creams lose their effectiveness faster due to exposure to the air bc they oxidize, and dipping your fingers in them day after day means that there’s a chance bacteria will grow in there, which is why often pot creams start to yellow and smell. Ew. NO POTS, ONLY PUMPS!

EYE CREAM - the skin around your eyes is super thin and sensitive and needs some TLC. Put some in the morning and at night. Beware - that shit gets expensive. 

BRANDS I RECOMMEND: I have a few from Clinique I like that didn’t pauper me, but the one I use right now is Korean and it’s bomb, but sorry y’all my roommate brought it back for me from Seoul.

SUNSCREEN/UV PROTECTION - sunscreen!!! sunscreen SUNSCREEN sunscreen SUNNNNSCREEENNNNNN don’t go outside without SUNSCREEENNNN EVER EVER EVER!!!! Phew. Now that I got that out yeah, sunscreen is important! It’s what fights aging and wrinkles the most. You can get sunscreen in some moisturizers that already have UV protection in them (it’ll say what SPF level they have) or buy some separately that you layer with your other creams. TWO KINDS OF SUNSCREEN - chemical that needs to go on your bare face first before anything else and physical that goes on last after everything else (before makeup of course but after moisturizer). Check to see which it is so you know how to apply it.

BRANDS I RECOMMEND: Olay has good moisturizers with sunscreen, Clinique has good UV protection creams (City Block is what it’s called), Julep has a good chemical sunscreen and this Korean brand I got at Sephora called Neogen. PROTIP - don’t bother with SPF over 50, above that it’s useless/a marketing scam.

So those are my recs! BONUS ROUND includes - serums, especially vitamin C serum, exfoliators, peels, toners, etc, but those aren’t nearly as critical as the stuff I mentioned above. I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

RANE BECAUSE OF COURSE SHE WOULD?? She probably forces Guo to take long ass showers with her too. Hm, part of me wants to say that Guo would prefer the rain, and Rane would prefer the sun? Mostly because I would be relying on the fact that, Guo lived in the desert / lives in the desert where it’s mostly sun, and therefore he would be in the sun all day erryday, where as Rane I can’t see particularly enjoying the rain, probably for vanity reasons PFFT. Which... also means she doesn’t like the sun.

what’s their favorite place to go together?

The beach. Relaxing sounds, can go there rain or shine, can also relax and just enjoy each other’s company or talk about everything and nothing. Also, it’s an excuse to make massive sand castles, recruit other beach goes, and have an all out war against each other. Why would they pass up that chance????

Hm, I can see them celebrating anniversaires? They’re not really the sort to like, celebrate the one month two month three month etcetc but more so that “we’ve been together for a year, so I got you this”, so it wouldn’t really be a specific day I don’t think. I feel like they might also sometimes get swept up into other festivities, with Christmas being their favorite. It’s an excuse to shower each other with gifts (and also because, esp in Pokemon verse, they’re both technically undead and have probably forgotten their birthdays). I can also see them enjoying Valentine’s for some reason, because again, another excuse to get each other gifts. (I’m sure one of Guo’s first gifts to Rane was boxing gloves. They are now completely destroyed because she used them so much, and he has to get her another set. She’ll probably get the old ones framed).

Work out, bath / shower (together or separate doesn’t matter, Guo usually goes first because they both know Rane takes 9237497234780 years, also yes this means he sometimes has two showers), eat supper, watch some TV / movie / read books either while cuddled or while at opposite ends of the couch with legs draped over the other’s legs, then tooth brushing and pajaming slapping on and then going to bed. Some nights might get a lilttle more intimate than that, but those are a bit few and far between, since that’s not something I see as being necessary to keeping their relationship alive (plus, they’re always fighting each oTHER SO??? I MEAN THAT COUNTS---)

Hm, I don’t particularly see either of them as being bad cooks either! If something gets burned, it’s probably due to one of them getting distracted rather than one of them actually being bad at cooking!
