Stupid question, but what gives you inspiration to write? Especially for Nynfgf? I really like how you write Jeongsa’s dynamics in the story. I feel like not a lot of people write for that particular pairing, but your fic actually helped me appreciate the duo more than I did before?? tbh there were a lot of phases with this fic in developing it.. i wanted to write a story about sana (obvi) and i wanted to play with abo, once i landed on abo i started having a lot of ideas and they eventually led to jeongyeon

i see Sana as an omega (tho some ppl imagine her as an alpha and i understand that fully) but i somehow started thinking about gender, variations, and got caught up in the idea of abo's version of dysphoria, and how it could apply to someone who heavily presents as alpha or omega, but is a beta. i was willing to sacrifice omega!sana for this, hoping i could do her justice out of the love i have for her.

now jeongyeon... started with just thinking of an alpha positioned against sana an interesting abo obstacles that could occur. you've already seen it a little, like the feral rutting. but what really sold me was the sibling aspect. i started thinking of an alpha that could have a lot of insecurities and ugly internalized feelings from having an older alpha sibling. mina was an option bc of her older bro, and i LOVEEEE misana but i was hesitant to use her bc my favorite abo and sana fic of all times uses them. i also didnt want to write about mina's brother bc we really know nothing about the guy, but jeongyeon's sister seungyeon is very public so i was more comfy drawing inspiration from her. THEN i remembered jeongyeon was born with a boy's name and that really sold me bc i was obsessed with the idea of potentional variances between female and male alphas, including lesser fertility and how that could impact the alpha's confidence. that was the detail that kind of made everything click in place.

its funny you say i put you onto them as a ship bc if i have learned anything from writing this fic is that i'm highly suggestable, i definitely have a crush on jeongyeon now and am really enjoying this ship too despite being the one writing it

↬ 01 // my favorite character to write for lately is probably either sukuna or megumi but i might only find them easy to write because i don't write canon-based jujutsu kaisen content 😭 + i love love love writing the kyoto girls as well cause no one ever really writes them and their dynamic is so fun. for haikyuu, i love writing bokuto & asahi. they're easier for me to write than any of the jjk characters + they're fun to play with in au settings.

↬ 18 // i spent 30 minutes researching japanese mountains last night for a fic only to end up making up a name lmao. i research alot of random shit for fics tbh. i think the most in-depth research i've done lately though is probably for my Killer Kings fic on ao3. i ended up on a whole archived d*ug user experience forum researching stuff for that lmao so my google account thinks im an addict now. i get a little warning banner anytime i search anything medication-related and i do not get that warning on my other google account so that's fun i love that for me lol

↬ 20 // writing has always been a form of escapism for me. i've been through ~a lot~ and getting to escape from my life and my body through stories has always helped me out a bunch. recently, seeing how much my writing has improved with practice has inspired me a lot to try harder at other things in my life and to apply myself more. writing fanfic has also been a huge learning curve on finding my personal style and learning how to write faster so hopefully, one day, novel writing will be a thing i can do.

i began to write in general since i was around 14 like any other emo kid kdjdjsks and o began to write fics when a friend asked me for one as a birthday present. it was written in a hurry and it’s not my favorite but i really enjoyed doing it. i posted that exact same fic on their birthday

2. which of your characters do you typically resonate most closely with? do you base any characters off of yourself?

it depends the fic i guess. and not really, i think the closest i’ve been to do that is in the rockstar au (coming to the @bottomlouisficfest very soon), i put one or two of my old insecurities in h so he could connect better and wouldn’t be persieved as just an asshole-y dude cause i don’t like that and louis don’t deserve that uwu🌸

hands down the ice prince fic. and funny thing is, i already had my prompt for the fic fest but i just couldn’t stop thinking about one particular prompt about a bratty prince and an alpha who hated omegas and the amount of POSSIBILITIES that had. two days later or so, the mods of the fest gave us the opportunity to pick another prompt if we wanted and the rest is HISTORY

IM SUPER GLAD YOU LOVE THIS AU!!! Tbh the sith consort au has become one of my fave aus to write for! So I’m happy that you enjoy my snippets of the au!!!

Tbh the au is a mix of outlining the main fic and world building and making it up as I go when inspiration hits me when I post those snippets! It’s also an abo dynamics au!!

Anakin is without a doubt my favorite character to write for, especially in this au!! Especially bc one of the things I’m playing around with in terms of writing style for this au is the unreliable narrator troupe.Not to give to much away, but things aren’t always how they seem when Anakin’s involved, especially when it comes to his interpretation of other characters feelings/motives. It’s also an exploration of what his (and others) life might have been like had he never been found by the Jedi and stayed a slave on Tatooine. Although he goes from being a bounty hunter to a sith assassin throughout the fic. He’s also a bit of a wild card in this fic, in that he’s never had any training in the force but he’s powerful and his force sensitivity has always been his greatest and weapon and his best ally. Anakin of course is someone who is also fiercely loyal and protective of those he loves just like Obi-Wan. Except Anakins anger is something fierce and angry and burns.

And gosh I love the exploration of sith!Obi-Wan especially in this. But I really had to think about about what would make Obi-Wan Obi-Wan and why a character who is so light and good would fall to the darkside, and I thought about how he only ever wanted to help people and end the war, and the unwavering devotion and loyalty he has for those he loves, and in particular his and Anakin’s deep connection. Like I fully believe that no matter which universe they’re in, they’ll always be drawn together/be connected in some kind of way. I also think that Obi-Wan as a Sith is the most dangerous person there can be. Like this is the same person who has always been so good and on the light side, imagine someone who has so much self control kind of just...snapping? Like just falling head first into the dark because of either anger or betrayal, but also having the control and power and discipline that comes from years of being a Jedi and combining that with becoming a Sith Lord. I imagine him to be like a mob boss of sorts tbh. He himself doesn’t get his hands dirty but doesn’t hesitate in doing so if it means doing what has to be done. But I think, at least I headcanon it to be this way, that the most dangerous thing about him is Anakin.

I love the idea of Empress!Padme and there’s so few fics exploring her as the Empress of the galatic empire. But also just like Obi-Wan, I had to really think about what would motivate her to take over the galaxy—like what would make a character who is also so light and believes in democracy and the republic want to become the Empress. I think with her it’s equal parts her realizing that the only way to save the galaxy she’s dedicated so much of her life to is to do this—become the Enpress—but also become someone that most if not all would fear.

I wanted to keep the core parts of these characters and their personalities while also meeting the Sith ideals in this au. Their relationship is a complicated one and I’m still playing around with the writing style of it, but tbh I’m leaning towards telling their story/relationship through a non-linear narrative/timeline. They love each other of course, but it’s complicated and it doesn’t help that Anakin has doubts about them and their relationship (again unreliable narrator) but I’m like super happy with how it’s going right now!! It’s the three of them together but also like the introspection of each of the relationships and how they come together/are different. And of course there’s a bit of codependency when it comes to Anakin and Obi-Wan. But it’s also Anakin being powerful af and both Obi-Wan and Padme wielding him like a weapon. Like the Empress and the Emperor and their attack dog sith assassin.

I know you guys aren’t really in the K fandom anymore, but I’m happy we’re all still friends, and I will always adore Quickening, your writing is so stunning and you’re just so amazing <3 I know I cried reading it ;---; <3

@ridiasfangirlings - Ridia, you have so many amazing fics, it’s always hard for me to pick one to rec. Your Reisaru, Afford, has always been one of my all time favorites, but Make a Shadow always holds a special place in my heart. I loved that fic, your imagery and writing was just so so perfect and I love love love everything about it. One of my favorite soulmate fics for sure!!
