You didn't think Spotlight Saga was going to cover one of our favorite animated series on Adult Swim? Are y'all fucking crazy? Oh, you thought we were going to be all long-winded and shit, break down crying, and talk about how we were abandoned at a bus stop when we were just 5 years old? Wrong again! That was RuPaul's Drag Race S5, and that wasn't any of us who were abandoned at any Bus Stops... That was Roxxxy Andrews and completely understandable. A little cliché, don't ya think? Yeah, we're not sure she's telling the truth either. As a matter of fact, you probably don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about! But hey, this is the one show a week that I get to cover without really using my brain, so excuse the obscure pop culture references that you may or may not get, it's not like Mike Tyson is really related to Tyson Chicken anyways... Right. Right? I guess it's possible. You got your ratings coverage, count your fn' blessings. We're not going to give you a complete rundown of a 15-Minute cartoon. There's no use in spoiling the 15 most exciting & deliciously confusing minutes on tv from week to week anyway. I will, however, tell you that Pigeon (Norm MacDonald) makes a cocaine reference and the cast can't exactly remember where they left off in S2... Was it the last episode or the one before that? Doesn't matter. All that matters is that at some point in S2, Mike Tyson's house burns down and that's really important because Mike Tyson, his daughter Yung Hee (Rachel Ramras), and their sexually fluid, wine guzzling ghost friend, Marquess of Queensbury (Jim Rash) all pretty much depend on living under that very roof... So clearly that presents a big problem. See where this is headed? Since cartoon purists are big on spoilers, I'm going to stay far the fuck away from them. My intention are to enhance your viewing pleasure, match the tone of the show, and take a steamy, pile of hot shit on pop culture, just like the show & Iron Mike would want me to. Since Mike's house is burnt down, he calls up his manager Deezy (Chuck Deezy), who we can safely say has NOT been stealing from Mike. During the course of the episode The Mystery Team also visits Neil deGrasse Tyson (Cedric Yarbrough) and like I said before, Tyson Chicken also plays a small role. 'Mike Tyson Mysteries' always makes the most out of its 15 minute time slot, and for this particular week that it aired it was the #2 rated tv show in the 18-49 demo on cable tv. Not bad, huh, Mike? What's a bit of making fun of yourself when it's lining your pockets with money?! Jeff Siergy, who Directs 'Help a Brother Out', has some super sweet credits that that will be good to know when you and your friends are drunk or on mushrooms and playing some sort of a useless trivia game at Buffalo Wild Wings on a particularly, sad & pathetic Tuesday night. Jeff was a Storyboard Artist for the kick-ass 1982 animated feature film 'The Secret of NIMH', a film that was literally a staple of my childhood... Probably not yours, cuz you're probably a fn baby. He was also the Supervising Animator for the 1996 film with the soundtrack that no one can still, to this day, get out of their heads, 'Space Jam'. He also directed a boat load of episodes of 'Mike Tyson Mysteries', including pretty much every episode of S2. I have no idea what your supposed to do with any of that information... Like I said, trivia night is your best bet. The point is, there are new episodes available for 'Mike Tyson Mysteries', which is totally fucking awesome.
