#this is the most I've laughed watching a riverdale episode

As the only S. Korean passport holder in Riverdale fandom on this website I would officially like to thank Riverdale on behalf of my people for addressing an important aspect of anti-Asian racism by having 1955 Veronica Lodge, a Latina virgin, tell Kevin Keller, a white gay man, that she can tell that Reggie Mantle, whose nonstandard last name is never explained, has a dick the size of a whale.

Hiiii I was wondering what your top 5 series are because I'm bored and I don't wanna do schoolwork so I'm gonna distract myself with screens
thanks for asking
my ultimate comfort show is friends. I've seen every episode a billion times, but it still makes me laugh and I still feel like I'm watching it for the first time. it's nostalgic and it just feels like home. I would like if there was more diversity tho..
i love how I met your mother (except for that awful ending). its so comforting and the show discusses real problems that young adults face like unemployment, divorce, infertility, losing a parent etc. characters go through real problems that real people face.
heartstopper obviously. again, I feel like I'm mentioning a lot of comfort shows rather than genuinly good shows but heartstopper is just.. so perfect. it is a bit cringe at times but teenagers are actually like that. everyone in that friend group is so loyal and kind and there's no drama and overall toxicness you'd find in most netflix shows like riverdale, elite etc. and I feel like this is one of the first shows I've seen with good queer representation. the paris squad remind me a lot of my friends and I, and we actually watched the show together. and we're gonna binge all of s3 and then talk about it (it's gotten to be a bit of a tradition)
id like to say that I love the owl house, even though I've never officially seen it. I've watched a lot of clips of it on YouTube and I know what happens and whenever I feel stressed or overwhelmed with school work, I'd watch like a 40 minute video of lumity. and I also relate to luz noceda on a personal level. I found out about this show only last year, when it was on it's final season and I was 16. I wish my 12 year old self watched it, because she would have LOVED the owl house and found comfort in this show. watching the owl house at 16 and 17 for the first time shocked me because I felt like my 11 and 12 year old self had come to life (and btw we even look really similar so there's that..). I just started watching Hilda and it's a lot like the owl house and Hilda reminds me of myself too, so idk. they're both really great shows
and lastly i'd probably have to go with stranger things. I love the gravity falls-dark suburban-fall vibe the first two seasons had. season three was really fun, but I didn't like the fourth that much. I also hate how it takes so long for each season to come out. again, I related to robin a lot and I love to play DND with some of my new friends. I started watching stranger things when I was around 11 with my old friends and I remember collaborating on pinterst boards and stuff, so that was fun. i'm going to watch the last season with them too.
ive seen a bunch of episodes of doctor who and some clips on YouTube and I love that. I need to properly sit down and watch Dr. who
superwholock in general is great, but I don't really feel like mentioning spn and Sherlock because of all the queerbating and homophobia surrounding the shows. (sherlock's amazing though)
i know you asked for five, but one day at a time is SUCH an amazing show too. it's about a latina family (grandma, mom, daughter and son) and it's so funny and really informative and just an overall fun family sitcom, but it doesn't shy away from dealing with important issues like racism, immigrant families, growing up in a three generational household, raising a teenager daughter who's a lesbian, being a military nurse and the trauma you have to deal with afterwards etc. elena is a lesbian and she's so nerdy and I just love her so much <333
anyway, that's it. peace out

fic request: soft jarchie. just like. jarchie i miss them
sorry for getting to this so late, anon, but I've been very busy lately, and besides that I've been having a lot of trouble writing anything. I decided to go with a scene of archie comforting jughead after he reveals what's happening to his hands in the most recent episode, and I hope you like what I've come up with :)
-
"You can touch me." Jughead says. "I promise I won't break."
Archie nods slowly, reaching forward and taking Jughead's hand in his own. The contact is tentative, his palm barely brushing against Jughead's, but he can feel the heat of his skin seeping into the space between them, making his own fingertips burn with the sensation.
"Does it hurt?"
Jughead shrugs. "It did, at first. I'm sure you can guess how bad watching your own fingernails fall off is, but I don't really feel it anymore. It's more of a soreness than anything else." He curls his fingers around Archie's, joining their hands more firmly together.
Archie's first instinct is to give his hand a gentle squeeze, but he stops himself before he can, still scared of hurting Jughead. Instead he lets his eyes drifts towards their laps, his gaze settling on their conjoined fingers. The red of Jughead's blood looks jarring against both of their pale skin tones, but in a way it's also beautiful. It's a familiar shade, bright and bold and unapologetic, the kind of color he'd make into a lipstick tube and give to Cheryl.
Archie takes a deep breath.
"I'm gonna make him pay for doing this to you, Jug." he says, vitriol creeping up into his tone. "He's been hurting Betty too, and who knows what he's gonna do to Ronnie, but he can't keep getting away with this. I'm not gonna let him get away with this."
Jughead laughs. It's quiet at first, small and for the most part controlled, but it doesn't take long for it to grow into something louder and more spontaneous, Jughead's eyes closing as he lets his head fall back into the motion of it.
Archie frowns.
"Sorry, sorry," Jughead says. "I'm not laughing at you, I promise, it's just... sweet. I think it's sweet."
He pauses before continuing, tightening his grip on Archie's hand as he does.
"But what about you, Batman? You might've said that Percival hasn't gotten to you yet, but you and I both know that isn't true."
Archie freezes, feeling his spine stiffen as his eyes jump to meet Jughead's.
"You don't have to tell me." Jughead says. "I know we aren't as close as we used to be, but I'm always willing to listen if you want me to."
He purses his lips and takes another deep breath.
Archie opens his mouth, closing it once he realizes no sound has come out. The confession is hanging on the tip of his tongue, a ten year long essay filled with discussions of abuse and manipulation and grooming, but he just can't let it out. It's hanging on for dear life, claws buried in the soft flesh behind Archie's parted lips, digging deeper and deeper in a desperate attempt to avoid being seen.
"Thanks, Jug, but Percival really hasn't come after me yet."
Jughead's expression falls, but he doesn't push the conversation further. Archie has a feeling he knows who his demon is, but until he absolutely has to bring it up, he'd rather not broach the topic.
He tries changing the subject instead. "Hey, how have you been able to write like this?"
Archie cringes at the visual, but he supposes it's his fault for asking in the first place.
"I haven't. I've been recording all my ideas to save for later, since it's hard to type anything if your keys are slick with blood."
"I'm serious, though, I'm gonna make Percival regret ever coming to Riverdale."
The corners of Jughead's lips quirk up, and his gaze softens as he looks at Archie. "I know you will. You're Archie Andrews. It's basically your trademark to kick evil's ass."
This time, it's Archie's turn to laugh, although his laughter is significantly more subdued than Jughead's was.
"Do you want to come with me to Percival's shop tonight? We can find the artifacts and then burn that place to the ground."
"Does she know about," Archie gestures downwards, towards their coupled hands.
Jughead places his free, still-gloved hand on Archie's upper arm. "As tempting as that is, I think I'm gonna pass. Tabitha's supposed to be coming home later with news about Pop's' status as a historical landmark."
"Oh, God no; She'd flip. If you think what you want to do to Percival is bad, wait till you hear about her revenge fantasies."
Jughead's gaze slides away from Archie's, landing somewhere on the other side of the living room.
"I don't really want to tell her either. She has enough to worry about without this, and if everything goes well, it shouldn't be a problem for much longer."
He traces a small circle into the skin of Archie's arm with his thumb, turning his head so that their eyes meet again. "I have faith in you, Arch."
"Yeah," Archie says, drawing his lower lip between his teeth. "I hope I don't let you down."
"But you should probably get going." Jughead tilts his head towards the clock behind him, its hour hand sitting inches below the eight. "As much as I love our bromance, I like keeping my skin on my hands a little more."
"You won't." The response comes a bit too quick for Archie to feel comfortable hearing it, but he knows arguing with Jughead about this would be hopeless.
He lightly squeezes Archie's arm before releasing him, his fingertips grazing his skin as they part.
"Goodluck."
"Thanks. Hopefully I don't need it."
When Jughead laughs this time, Archie laughs with him, and for that small moment, Archie gets to finally feel at peace.

okay, we're mixing it up a little here: which jjk character is mostly likely to watch
supernatural
riverdale
glee
dance moms
keeping up with the kardashians
our flag means death
my little pony
and since it's popular right now - stranger things
now, which jjk character would be the one to watch each show? [ex. like idk nanami watches spn and megumi watches riverdale... i actually don't agree with that, they were the first two i thought of lol]. chose some cursed shows, two popular ones for funsies, and one that i decided yes <3
[feel free to skip any you don't want to do lol]
i'm gonna be real w you rn i don't know anything about most of these so i will have to rely on what google tells me, so!
supernatural - yuuji and yuuta!! it would be their way of bonding :) maki would join them sometimes at random points so every time yuuji very excitedly briefs her about what happened in the episodes she missed. one time she joins them as they are watching the legendary episode where destiel becomes canon. this would be right after that scene and while usually both of them look pretty interested in what they're watching this time their faces are just. completely blank. yuuji and yuuta slowly look at each other, yuuji starts cracking up and soon enough theyre both laughing their asses off. maki is intrigued by what could possibly be this funny so they replay the scene for her, still trying to contain their laughter. after she watches it she is EXTREMELY CONFUSED??? shes like wait what? they're in love? since when what did i miss?? he went to hell? WHAT?? this just sends yuuji n yuuta into hysterics. they can't really explain why they find it so funny but they end up having a great time. it becomes sort of an inside joke between them and maki and she still acts irritated every time bc she's trying to make sense of it which always make the other two laugh :)
riverdale - (omg this is about that weirdo in a hat) hmm i think mai. deep down she understands this isn't peak cinema but finds a way to enjoy it nonetheless. and i mean enjoy as something to turn on when you're tired of everything and just wanna watch something strange enough that it is detached from reality
glee - (HOLY SHIT I JUST LOOKED IT UP AND?? SKFSFKQSK IT FUCKING LISTS TEXTING WHILE DRIVING AND GAY MARRIAGE AS SOCIAL ISSUES ON THE WIKI IM CRYING. oh i just looked up more stuff. holy shit who let this show be on tv) you know what. mahito. i refuse to elaborate more than this show is just perfect for him.
dance moms - nanami. i can't really explain it but i think he would watch it at first just to judge the adults in it but slowly gets really invested
keeping up with the kardashians - momo. imo she would unironically enjoy the drama between them and find it funny
my little pony - going off my gut here, inumaki <3333 panda would join him sometimes!
stranger things - megumi. would watch until s4 and then would quit it bc from what i've heard most of the queer characters and characters of color get treated horribly. also i think it would get under his skin quite a bit because he just keeps thinking of himself and yuuji and it keeps reminding him how they will never get a happy ending. yuuji notices that he's upset but megumi never answers honestly when asked about it bc he doesn't wanna remind yuuji about it and feels selfish for wishing it didn't have to be like this :(

Ok, so I haven't been able to comment much on my Riverdale rewatch mostly bc i'm watching it with my boyfriend and we have an agreement of no cell phones when we're watching, otherwise we can't pay proper attention to it. But I wrote down some notes about the episodes I did watch (I watched up until ep 6, which is very ironic bc apparently today is its anniversary, so yay for my perfect timing). I actually remember most of the stuff that happened in s1, so here's mostly a few things I paid more attention to or noticed about the characters and the ships, or things i'm able to look at through a different view now that i've watched all the seasons. Strap in if you want to see my notes, if not just scroll please, no ship or character hate here please. Also, feel free to ignore, this is really just a personal look in some stuff I didn't notice in my first watch.
- Betty's character used to be much happier and lighter in season 1. I know we're introduced to "Dark Betty" right in episode 3, but still, I feel like the way Lili played Betty in season 1 did not hold the same "darkness" as it does in the following seasons. The scene where she is dancing happily in her bedroom because she's going to homecoming with the boy she likes? The scene where she introduces Jughead to the Blue & Gold and gets him to work with her? Her genuine innocent happiness at seeing her sister again after so much time? The way she interacted with Kevin and Veronica? Those were all chef's kiss because she actually feels like a teenager in them. In all her girly glory, she radiates youth energy and it's a thing that was sadly lacking after s1. Btw this is not a critique at Lili's acting at all, I blame it entirely on Ras and his obsession with dark Betty.
- There's actually so many indications of Cheryl being a lgbt character in the first episodes that I have no idea how I missed it the first time. But then again, there were many indications with Veronica as well, and sadly that's not the path Ras chose for her.
- Jughead in s1 is truly so superior in so many ways that it's not hard to see why he quickly became such a fan favorite. I think even if he wasn't played by Cole Sprouse, he still would have conquered many fans' hearts. Sadly, the things that made Jughead such a loving and interesting character for me also fizzled out in s2 when the writing team decided to make him a woke serpent leader instead of allowing him to sticking to his true personality as a passionate mystery lover, a dedicated friend and very nerdy, which was very cute. I feel that we got some of that back for him in s4, which was good, but sadly s1 is where my love for him really stayed to stay. But I still care for him, and s5 has a promising storyline for him which i'm excited about, so let's see if s5 Jughead can become better than s1 Jughead.
- Going back again to Cheryl for a sec, I just noticed that the red lipstick actually wasn't that common for her in s1? At least not in the first five. I wonder when did it start becoming her trademark? Anyways, it's actually a really good look her and allows you to appreciate Madelaine's natural beauty even more.
- Also, did anybody notice how Alice lowkey figured out who killed Jason in ep 2 lmao, like... in episode two she legit says she wouldn't be surprised if the Blossoms themselves had killed Jason, which... is what happened LMAO, considering we know it was his father. And even more hilarious and tragically ironic note, in ep 6 she's laughing at Betty suggesting that Hal killed Jason because "do you think your father has the stomach for it?!"... Ma'am... i'm-.... 😂😂😂😂.
- This rewatch has reminded me of how much I adored and how I much I miss Josie and the Pussycats. The girls were such a nice addition to the cast, and their songs were so beautiful. I truly wish we get to see them again someday, but at the same time I also think the actresses deserve to be at a work place where they're given the treatment they deserve and not completely ignored and treated like extras.
- Archie/Valerie was super cute and is very underrated in the fandom, but i'm glad Valerie stood up for herself and didn't take any of Archie's or Cheryl's sh*t. Still sucks because they were really good together, though.
- Why was Jason not allowed to talk, lmao? Like, i'm sure it's become a running joke in the show at this point, but back when season one was airing what was the excuse for it? He appeared in so many flashbacks and scenes and we still never heard a single word ☠️☠️☠️☠️. I just want to know what was the reason lol.
- I liked s1 Reggie, but I feel like Charles Melton's Reggie is better because he actually feels like a douche with good intentions lol, and he has more of a personality. Most of the time I even forgot about Reggie in s1, but after s2 he definitely made me more aware of him. So for that, I like Charles Melton's Reggie more. But the actor from s1 still did a good job with what he was given.
From now on I will be talking about the ships, so bear with me, and know that I am a multishipper. Yes, I have my preferences. No, my word is not law, it's just an opinion, so please respect it.
- Bughead is still super cute in s1. I feel like from s1 they will always be my otp, even if I no longer feel as strongly about them now and have a different insight as to where I would like their story to go, and now I definitely see the problem others had mentioned before of how they kind of took over the show, which is something I kind of closed my eyes to before... But I really loved them in s1. It felt like a very juvenile teenage relationship, they didn't give much thought on why and if they should be together, they just went for it like teenagers usually do, and they were very very cute together.
- I feel like if you don't count Beronica (because they really were the best no matter what you say or ship), if there's a ship that deserves "best chemistry" award for s1 is probably Varchie. I lost my interest in them years ago, but this rewatch reminded me of why I actually loved them once. They never really became an otp for me, but Kj and Camila's chemistry in s1 was VERY GOOD, and I really liked them. Their kiss in the pilot was electric and the s&xual tension was OOF, and that chemistry carries on through the season. You can easily tell something will happen between them eventually. It makes me sad bc I don't know what happened after s1, but their chemistry from s2 onwards was just... not there for me. Which is ironic bc it's the season they truly started dating and they got a lot of smexy scenes, but I just... didn't feel it. But I'll leave that comment to my s2 rewatch. For now just let me enjoy Varchie's chemistry in s1 while it lasts because it was really good.
- Now we get to Barchie, who I made clear was the reason for my rewatch, so let's get to it. I LOVED the way Barchie was written in s1. I remember when I first watched Riverdale, I was curious about their dynamic but didn't put much thought into it because I loved Bughead too much and wanted them to be together, and I thought Barchie would be the traditional "first og ship" thing and wouldn't have a big follow up, but boy was I WRONG and am I GLAD for it. I'll talk more about their development in the next seasons when I get there, so for now let's focus a bit on s1. Just in like the first two episodes, there is so much Barchie foreshadowing, like, it's legit insane how it was right there in my face and I missed it the first time! "I have never felt what i'm supposed to feel with betty", "it's not my fault he doesn't like you", "I can't give you the answer you want"... Omg, those are obvious eyebrow raising "this will come back to bite you in the a$$" moments and it's incredible how they actually DO! I would call it clever writing, but like... it's Riverdale lol. So I really am just glad that the ship was done this way, i'm glad Barchie has the back story that they do, they've really come a LONG way and i'm happy I get to experience their whole growing storyline. It's also especially good because s1 actually provides you with scenes that show you their friendship and how they're so close, you see them hanging out, talking, their pictures together, everything was just really done well with them. Still have a bit of critique with the way Archie contradicted himself sometimes regardinf his feelings for Betty, but let's be honest, we've watched enough Riverdale to know that's just a problem with the writing.
- Kevin/Joaquin is still my favorite Kevin ship, i'm sad it's completely impossible to go back to them someday so for now i'll just be really glad it existed and that I got to see them even if it was short-lived. They had great chemistry and their kiss scenes always outsold.
- Beronica... sigh. Beronica. The most wasted chemistry i've ever seen on CW and I've watched a LOT of CW shows. There was so much potential there, s1 was practically overflowing with them and it's one of the reasons it became some popular. I remember when the Beronica fandom was the biggest one, ah, good times. Veronica and Betty were easily the best part of season 1, their friendship, their lowkey romantic moments, they were just superior in every way. This ship deserved better, not even just as a ship, but as a friendship.
- Veronica's s1 hair >>> Veronica's hair in seasons 2-4. I loved the side part and I am glad it's back in season 5, it looks so much better like that.
- Cheryl, as always, deserves better. Can't wait for her to meet Toni so I can watch again Cheryl finally get to love someone and be loved back, which is exactly what she deserves.
For now, that is all! I will probably make another post soon when i'm done with season one and from season two on I will be live-blogging the episodes since I will be watching it alone. Once again, pls, no hate, my thoughts are my thoughts. Peace.

OMG LOL. I just watched some of yours' and Initiumseries' anti-Riverdale reactions. Hilarious. You guys should (drunk) react to the 4x17 musical episode it would be peak comedy. And what I would give to see you guys react to the pilot of shadowhunters, one of the most hilarious episodes of television I've ever seen. But anyways, that was fun. Thanks for the laugh.
the musical episodes are actually extremely boring for us, lmao, like riverdale is a total mess and it actually upsets me but whenever they do musicals we’re actually just ... extremely bored. we did the heathers one and we did another one, i don’t even remember the plot, i just know jughead couldn’t sing and there was about to be a threesome onstage and it was all awful.
we also have quite a few shadowhunters drunk reviews and what we realized watching shadowhunters is that the first season is actually the best season.
thanks for watching!

The Perfect Cast
Sweet Pea x reader
Riverdale + Supernatural crossover (kind of)
Inspiration from @sgarrett49
Summary: You and Kevin are planning the perfect school musical based on the Supernatural episode "Fan Fiction", and you know who would be the perfect lead role.
Author Note: Let's just pretend that Mitch is alive.
(also proof that Sweet Pea can sing)
Word Count: 3701
Tumblr media
When Kevin came to you asking for you to help with the school musical, you were more than happy. What made you ecstatic was what the musical would be. Your favorite show, Supernatural.
It was a story of two brothers, Sam and Dean. They hunt things that go bump in the night, and keep fighting no matter what. They were heroes that needed no gratitude, only each other. Just them, their car, and the road.
In the show, they break the forth wall and have their lives written in books by a "prophet" of the Lord, but that's a whole different conversation. There is an episode where a school makes a musical of the books, which is basically a musical about the show. That is what this musical will be about.
"So," Kevin said. "We got the budget and what each of the finances will cost, but we still don't have the most important thing, a cast." It was just the two of you and a notepad and pen in the auditorium. "First things first, Sam and Dean."
You tapped your pen on your notepad, thinking. "Archie?" Kevin suggested.
"Too boy next door."
"Reggie?"
"Maybe. I'm just not feeling it." You thought hard. Then an idea came into your head, causing you to sit straight up in your chair. You were excited about this, and by nature a very passionate person. "Sweet Pea!"
"What?" He looked at you confusedly.
"Sweet Pea should be Dean! It makes total sense."
"Okay, um, have you ever even talked to him?"
"No." You were still smiling, not letting that set you back.
"Do you even know any Southsiders?"
"Jughead." You said cheerfully.
Kevin looked at you as if your crazy. He took your hands in his. "Let me tell you a little something about the Southside. They are tough, and mean, and do not like the Northside. And the one who hates the Northside most of all is Sweet Pea."
You shook your head. "Everybody needs to stop seeing the Southsiders as people to be feared or hated. I'm not changing my mind."
Kevin sighed. "Fine. If you must know Jughead's Serpent club should be ending in a few minutes."
You quickly stood up and hugged him. "Already on it!"
"When he says no, I have every right to say I told you so!" He called out.
"You have my consent!" You called back.
You headed to the room where the Serpents held their 'boardgame club'. When you got there, you were nervous to knock. You checked the time, not wanting to interrupt anything.
You knocked. Jughead opened the door. "Y/n, what's up?"
"I need to speak to Sweet Pea." You smiled. He gave you a look, and you nodded.
"Alright. Everyone dismissed." Jughead said as you stepped in with him. "Pea, you stay." Everybody started to head out, leaving the tall guy with the snake tattoo on his neck leaning on a desk. Jughead, patted my shoulder. "He's all yours."
"Thanks Jug." You walked up to him. "So you're Sweet Pea?" You smiled.
"Look, whatever your Bulldog boyfriend said about me, it's probably fake. I don't need you Northsiders starting up something that isn't my fault."
Your smile faded, and you look at him, confused. "What? First of all, I'm not here for any beef with anyone. Second, I don't have a boyfriend, and if I did it wouldn't be a bulldog. I mean, really? They're all full of themselves and think they're badass when they're just a stupid football team. And don't even get me started on Reggie Mantle. He's just, ugh."
Sweet Pea didn't really notice looks because this town was full of deceiving good looking people, but after you saying that he just seemed to view you as an attractive person. He let out a small laugh, crossing his arms. "So why are you here?"
"I'm one of the people in charge of the school musicals, and this year we're doing a Supernatural musical."
"Supernatural? Like the show about demons and stuff?"
"Yup!" You smiled. He looked at you, amused. You seemed really excited for this. "Have you seen it?"
"I've watched a few episodes here and there. Why are you telling me this?" He looked you up and down.
"I want you to play Dean." You said cheerfully.
There was a pause. "No."
You instantly frowned. "Why not?"
"Why would you want me in a stupid musical?"
You sit down on one of the chairs beside him. "I'm just going to ignore that insult." He gave a tsk in return. "I want you in my stupid musical because you're a perfect fit for Dean. Dean cares for his family, does everything for them. Even when he gets roped into crazy stuff and it seems like fighting is useless, he never stops. He feels that he needs to protect his family before he protects himself. I see that in you, but y'know, I could be wrong." You couldn't help your sarcasm.
He didn't know how to respond. He wasn't expecting that from someone he didn't know, especially a Northsider. "Why do you think that? You've never even talked to me before."
"I don't need to talk to you to know you. I'm usually there when the Northside v. Southside stuff happens, I just don't make my presence known. I'm Jughead's friend, so if something happens and he needs help, I'm there. I just don't announce it."
He was feeling weird about you. You were different than all the Northsiders. Even the ones that helped made a big deal and announced it to the world, but not you. You didn't need gratitude, and now you were saying all these things about him when the two of you have never even met.
"You don't care that I'm a Southsider? Wouldn't want some gangster trashing up your set, right?"
"Why would I judge you on where you come from? I judge you on the kind of person you are, and right now I see a loyal friend to his people." You said all too casually.
He wanted to see you more often, to get to know you. You were such an interesting person and different than most in Riverdale. You seemed to think differently than the whole town, North and South alike. Which was the only reason he responded with, "Fine."
You smiled and got up. You put a hand on his arm. "Thanks! I'll see you around, okay?" And with that, you left. Sweet Pea suddenly wanted to binge watch a certain show now.
You went back to the auditorium, Kevin watching you make your way back. You plopped into your seat. "Boom." Kevin looked at you, shocked. You just wrote down Sweet Pea's name, then another amazing idea came to you. "Fangs should be Sam, and Jughead should be Cas."
"Are you just purposely casting Serpents now?" Kevin asked, worried for how smooth this wouldn't be if the three of them were the lead roles.
"No, but name a better trio that's more fit for this."
He looked at you, then sighed. "Go ahead."
You stood, hugging him and rushing to Pop's. You asked Jughead if you could talk to Fangs, to which he asked the reason why. "For the musical."
Jughead looked at you, amused. "Good luck with that."
"I mean Sweet Pea agreed, so this shouldn't be too hard right?"
He choked on his milkshake. "Sweet Pea said yes to that? Why? How?"
"I guess I just have that affect on people. Let's go."
You both headed to his trailer, Jughead behind you as you knocked. It wasn't too hard getting him to agree, after saying that Sweet Pea would be the other lead. "Wait, so who would be Castiel?" Fangs asked.
You then turned to Jughead and smiled cheekily. "No. Absolutely not."
"Please Jug, it'll be adorable! Right Fangs?"
"Yeah, Jug. It'll be cool." You exchanged grins.
He huffed. "Fine, but you owe me Pop's." You thanked both of them, then went home to plan out the other roles. You texted Kevin and you both came up with a final list.
Betty would be Donna, Veronica would be Jody, Archie would be Bobby, Reggie would be Crowley, Moose would be John, and Mitch would be Mary.
You let everybody know what roles they played, and they all agreed. The next day Kevin told almost everybody to meet after school. He then asked you to let Sweet Pea and Fangs know, which you agreed to do.
Much to Sweet Pea's surprise, you had two classes together. He saw you and Fangs talking together. Much to his annoyance, you had four classes with him. He wanted to know if you two talked before. Are you guys friends? Why hadn't he introduced you to him?
You saw him staring at you in the hallway with Fangs, and you brightened up instantly. You then tugged on Fangs' arm to drag him with you to Sweet Pea. "Hey, Sweet Pea." You said as you made your way towards him. "So you guys have a meeting for the musical right after school in the auditorium."
"You guys?" He questioned.
"Yup. Fangs is playing the other lead, Sam. I thought that you guys would play brothers pretty well."
Sweet Pea nodded his head, looking pissed. He felt less special. Although Fangs felt a little scared by his face you just kept smiling, not finding anything scary. "See you later then." He said.
"See you later Sweets. Bye Fangs." And with that you left.
Fangs clasped his friend's shoulder. "You good?"
"Yeah. I'm fine." He said, a little harsher than he meant to say. He cleared his throat. "Hey, what did y/n say to you about the play?" He stared daggers into him. It wasn't intentional, Sweet Pea just felt jealousy towards his friend for a reason that he couldn't figure out.
"She said that you were the other lead and that I would play your brother."
"That's it?"
"Yeah." Sweet Pea's features softened as he nodded. "You sure you're okay?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
Fangs smiled. "Maybe cause you're into her." He patted his shoulder. "See you later Sweets." He then left, leaving a confused and frustrated Sweet Pea alone with his feelings.
After school you all met at the auditorium. Kevin had the group sit in a circle while you stayed silent with your clip board, looking over the rehearsal schedule to make sure nothing was wrong. "I think it'll be good for all of us to introduce ourselves and our role so that we can work well together."
Everybody introduced themselves and their roles, with Reggie and Moose eyeing the three Serpents. You were brought out of your concentration when you heard Reggie get mad and yell, "This is bull!"
Kevin turned to you for support. You sighed. "Kev, you really need to grow a pair." You then turned to Reggie. "Reggie, what's wrong?"
"Why the hell do these three Southside snakes get to play the leads while us Northsiders are pushed to the back?"
"So you have a problem with my casting?" You were calm and in your seat, while Reggie was huffing and puffing and making a big deal.
He pointed to Sweet Pea. "Why the hell is he Dean while I'm stuck as Crowley? I think I'd be better for the lead, don't you think babe?" He smirked at you.
Sweet Pea shot up, going straight to Reggie. "I think I'd show her some respect if I were you."
You then stood, "Sweets, it's fine. I got this." You then started walking towards Reggie. "He is Dean because he protects people and only gets into the gunfire when necessary. You are Crowley because you don't care about the consequences of your stupid ass decisions and are always starting something unnecessary. Now sit." He angrily sat, with the whole group silent except for the munching of Jughead towards his chips.
You sat back down. Nobody said a thing, there was only small laughter from your friends. The Serpent boys couldn't help but smile at you. It was time somebody put Reggie in his place. "Look, if anyone has problems then talk to me or Kevin. I'm usually chirpy and easy going but now and then a dumbass will get the best of me."
You looked at Kevin expectantly. He cleared his throat. "These are the rehearsal dates and the script." He then passed it out to everyone. "You are all free to practice your lines with each other on your own today, but tomorrow will be a group reading. We will call each of you up to right notes on your scripts. Until then, just practice."
Sweet Pea stared at you as you were talking to Betty and Veronica while writing on their script. Fangs saw this. "Careful you don't drool." Sweet Pea only scoffed in response.
"Let's just go over our lines." He said, looking down at the script. Them as well as Jughead began to read out their lines, and Fangs and Jughead had to agree that Dean kind of seemed like Sweet Pea.
"Come on, Sammy. Dad wants us to pick up where we left off. Saving people, hunting things, the family business." You heard him rehearsing, and kept looking up at your work. He was good.
"Jug." You called out, nodding for him to come over. He did while Kevin called out for Fangs at the same time. He awkwardly stood there waiting for his friends.
Archie saw this and went up to him. "Hey man."
"What do you want Andrews?"
He noticed that he wasn't really staring at him, but more focused on you. "Just came to talk. Sorry about Reggie, you know how he is. You know y/n?"
He then turned to look at him. "Not really."
"She's a pretty fun person. I think you two would make good friends. Who knows, maybe even more?" Archie had his arms crossed as Sweet Pea was caught off guard. Archie laughed in response. "Look man, if you like her, go and talk to her. I think she'd be good for you."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"I mean that you're always angry, usually at us. But she's mostly happy and cheerful all the time. She stood up for you, which she doesn't really do. She likes to stay unnoticed. Maybe she could make you happier."
Archie then walked away, followed by you calling out his name. "Hey." He said when he got there.
"Hey." You quietly said.
As you grabbed the script and went to writing, Sweet Pea spoke up. "You okay?"
"Yup, I'm good now." He nodded your head, eyes not leaving the papers.
"I just wanted to say that you were pretty funny. Finally someone was able to shut Mantle up." He looked away from you and let out a small laugh.
You looked up and smiled. "Thanks. And thank you for sticking up for me." He looked at you. "Saying that he should start showing me respect. That was really cool of you." You finished up and gave the papers back to him. He awkwardly nodded and grabbed the packet from you.
The next day after the group reading Fangs and Jughead nearly forced Sweet Pea to go and talk to you. He asked if he could stay with you because he needed help on his role. He didn't know what other excuse to give, but you were more than happy to.
You helped him out of being awkward when he spoke and acted. You made jokes the whole time, causing him to smile. It was just the two of you, so he didn't really need to be tough in front of others. He felt embarrassed every time you gave him compliments. He didn't really know how to respond.
"Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole." He added a teasing smile, sitting next to you.
"That was a lot better. Very charming." You said. He smiled at you. You were just so calm and soothing right now. "I think we could stop now. I think it's getting late."
He then checked the time. "You hungry? We could go get some Pop's." He hoped his boldness would pay off.
"Sure. I kind of feel bad that you're buying me food though."
"Nah, it's fine. I kept you here anyways. I should thank you." He nodded his head for you to come, and you two walked outside at the parking lot, him showing you his motorcycle. He got on. "Hop on."
"You're not a reckless driver, right?" You were partly teasing and partly nervous.
"It'll be fine. Let's go." And with that you got on and held on tight to him.
You got there and ordered. You were both having a fun time. Sweet Pea felt relaxed around you. As the two of you talked you noticed how attractive he was. There was something about him that you couldn't figure out. For an unknown reason you just wanted to spend more and more time with him.
All was well until Reggie walked in. He saw the two of you together, and decided he should join in. He liked you. Sure, you embarrassed him earlier, but you were hot and feisty in his eyes. He liked that.
He walked up to your booth. "Excuse me." He said, taking a seat next to you, with you sliding to the window in response. "What did I miss?" He smirked, eyes glued on Sweet Pea.
"What do you want Mantle?"
"I just came to say sorry to the lovely lady." He then looked at you. "I figured we got off to a bad start." You gave him a tight smile. He then took a fry from your plate. "So what did I miss?"
Sweet Pea glared at him. "School." You said, your voice monotone.
He nodded and took another fry. "That's not your food." Sweet Pea said in a restrained voice.
"Yeah, your right. Could you order something for me? Thanks." He then turned to an angry looking you. "Speaking of school, I was thinking you should join the River Vixens. You could cheer for my games. I think you'd look hot in the outfit." He put his hand on your thigh.
Sweet Pea shot up, having had enough. He grabbed on Reggie's letterman jacket, yanking him up. "Don't touch her like that." He said through gritted teeth.
Reggie shoved him off. "Why not? You catching feelings or something?"
You shot up as well, about to split them up when you heard Pop's voice. "What's going on here?"
"Reggie was just leaving." You said. Reggie then angrily walked out, leaving you to explain what happened to Pop while Sweet Pea payed for the food.
You two went outside he leaned against his bike. "I'm, uh, sorry that all that happened." He avoided your gaze. "We were having a good time and that screwed it up."
You walked up to him and hugged him. He was taken by surprise for a few moments, before he hesitantly wrapped his arms around your waist. "You did all that because of Reggie. He was the one that ruined things. You're kind of my hero." You said as you were against him.
When he got home, he looked over his lines and took a look at the notes you wrote. They were mostly tips and helpful stage directions, but he also noticed something else. You wrote little encouraging comments or compliments. Sometimes you drew happy faces with them. He smiled.
The next day at the auditorium everybody was in a group reading while sitting in a circle. You guys decided to skip the songs and do that towards the end. When you got to the songs, you were not prepared for what you heard.
Sweet Pea started singing one of the songs, causing you and Kevin to immediately look at each other. He mouthed the word wow, and you mouthed I know. It seemed like everybody else was surprised as well.
When he finished you weren't thinking when you said, "Holy shit."
He looked at you, a mixture of confusion and worry with him. "What?"
"That was really good!" He smiled. Fangs then gave him a look, and his smile immediately fell off of his face.
For the next few weeks you and Sweet Pea practiced your lines while joking around and having fun together. What you two would do was practice for about twenty minutes, then just talk, go out to eat, or hang out at the Whyte Wrym.
You had begun to develop feelings for him. Although to others he seemed scary and was always mad at something, but you didn't see that at all. He was a gentleman in your eyes, who always knew how to make you laugh. Being around him was always fun, and he made you happy.
Although Reggie had been trying to impress or flirt with you, you never paid any attention to him. Sweet Pea had almost gotten into fights with him over the way he treated you, but you always interjected. To make him feel better you would give him a hug and talk him out of being mad.
Sweet Pea's feelings for you only grew as you two spent more and more time together. Reggie treated you like property, and Sweet Pea was always ready to beat the crap out of him for you in a heart beat. But you wouldn't let him, always telling him that you'd be worried if he got hurt. You would always tell him something that made him feel better, with your warm smile making him melt.
It was the day of the musical, and all day Sweet Pea was getting teased by his friends to grow a pair and ask you out. All day he responded that you guys were just friends, and that's the way that you'll always see the two of you. But they were right. He needed to get it out of his system.
"Hey," you said, coming into a dressing room to see him in the whole Dean get up. "I just wanted to say good luck. You're gonna be awesome." You took a seat right next to him.
"Thanks." He gave you a nervous smile. It was now or never. "Um, so after the show, I was thinking that the two of us can go out somewhere."
"That sounds cool. We should invite more people." You suggested.
"Uh, no. I mean, uh," he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Hey," you put a hand on his shoulder. "You okay? You can tell me anything."
He took all the courage he could muster up and went for it. "I want to go out with you. I mean like a relationship. I want to say that you're mine, and put my arm around your shoulders, and kiss you whenever I want."
You said nothing, which he took as a rejection. "You know what, just forget it. It was a stupid idea anywa-" he was cut off by your lips. You kissed him passionately, waiting for this moment for what seemed like forever. He then returned the kiss, putting a hand on your waist while yours were on his face.
You smiled when you pulled back for air. "Yes, I'd love to go out with you." He smiled, about to say something when an alarm from your phone went off. "Looks like it's show time. Break a leg, Winchester."

Bad Habits: Part 3
Pairing: (Kurtz x OC) (Malachai x OC)
Word Count: 1100+
Warnings: fighting? Talk of death.
A/N: So, despite last nights episode, I'm obviously still going to post chapters of this story. Considering the story is currently writen about what season one. But I'm just gonna pretend the episode last night didn't happen.
Tumblr media
3rd person point of view
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   The only thing people could seem to talk about all weekend was the waterlogged body of Jason Blossom that was found. With a singular gunshot wound in the middle of his forehead.
   Emma helped maintain the drive in while her brother took some time for himself and his novel about the unfortunate death.
   Kurtz held to his word and every night he'd come to late showings of whatever movie Emma had picked with his friends. They insisted on paying. Kurtz had the habit of secretly sliding tips into her pocket so she'd find them later. He always waited for the thank you text he'd get later that night.
   During her shift Emma liked to sneak away and join Kurtz and his friends. Emma didn't have many friends, so the fact that they welcomed her so openly made her happy. The one night Emma had fallen asleep, her head nuzzled into his shoulder. Neither of them really addressed it after she woke up.
   School was tense. Everyone was tense to say the least. Emma tried to distance herself from the drama and stick with her brother. But unfortunately, sticking with him didn't help. Emma stuck to her routine. Wakeup, school, Vixen practice, drive in, repeat.
   Emma walked down the hall quietly. She was trying to find her brother. Emma walked by the student lounge and gasped. Reggie Mantle was once again being an asshole and messing with her brother. Emma ran in and grabbed her brothers arm just as Reggie was about to tackle him.
   "Leave him alone!" Emma said, gripping her brothers sleeve tightly with her shaky hand. Archie stepped in and shoved Reggie away from the two siblings.
   "Shut the hell up, Reggie." Archie said. Jughead wrapped his arm around Emma's shoulder and held her close to his side.
   "What do you care, Andrews?" Mantle taunted.
   "Nothing, just leave them alone." Archie said. Emma wouldn't admit it out loud, but Reginald Mantle scared her. As did most of the Bulldogs.
   "Holy crap, did you and Donnie Darko kill him together? Was it some sort of pervy, blood brother thing?" Reggie hissed. Archie's lip twitched and he shoved Reggie. Reggie pushed Archie back, shattering the glass of the vending machine. Jughead tried to pull him off, and Emma tried to pull her brother off of the boys. In the process Archie got punched and Emma was thrown off the boys and onto the floor. The fight was broken up and it ended with Archie getting a nice black eye. Jughead took Emma's hands and helped her up. He gently tilted her head up and inspected her.
   "Are you okay?" He asked. She nodded.
   "Y-Yeah. I'm fine, Jug." She said softly. He kissed the top of her head and hugged her.
   "Don't do that. I don't want you to get hurt." Jughead said calmly. She rolled her eyes and nodded.
   "Fine, you loser." She teased. He scoffed and pushed her shoulder.
   "I've got that stupid pep rally tonight, just so you know." She said before heading to class. Emma walked down the relatively empty hall, head down just as always.
   "Hey!" Emma jumped and spun around. It was a girl, her age.
   "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. I'm Ella." She said. Emma smiled and walked up to her.
   "I'm Emma." She said.
   "Just wanted to say that I saw what you did in there. Standing up to Reggie Mantle? That was sick. More people should have the balls to put him in his place." Ella said. Emma smiled and laughed softly.
    "Yeah, he was messing with my brother and uh- I guess it's a twin thing. Mess with one of us, you get both of us." Emma joked.
   "Good to know." Ella said, laughing lightly. The girls exchanged numbers, promising to talk again soon.
   When the day ended Emma was dragged to the student pep rally. When the rain started Emma smiled. Emma wanted to run after Cheryl but she didn't want to infringe. Veronica had already gone after her. Emma cursed softly, realizing her brother had already left. She stood under the bleachers to avoid the rain. She huffed and pulled her phone out. She scrolled through her contacts and landed on Kurtz. She shivered at the cold and bit the inside of her cheek.
   "Please answer." She whispered as she pressed the call icon. It ran for a bit and then he answered.
   "Hello?" He said. Emma sighed in relief.
   "Kurtz? It's Emma. I'm kinda- stuck." Emma said softly.
   "Are you okay?" He asked.
   "I was at a thing. A stupid thing and it started raining and my brother left already a-and I don't have a way to get to the drive in." She ranted. He smiled on the other end of line.
   "Doll, it's okay. Where are you? I'll come get you." He said. She sighed and smiled.
   "Thank you. T-Thank you. I'm at the Riverdale High stadium." She said.
   "I'll be there soon, Em. Sit tight." He said. After they had hung she was waiting for maybe a little over five minutes and Kurtz pulled up in his truck. He got out and ran over to where he saw her sheltered under the bleachers. Emma gasped and jumped as he gently touched her shoulder.
   "God, you're freezing." He whispered. He slid his jacket off and wrapped it around her shaking shoulders. Emma hummed and slid her arms into the sleeves.
   "Thank you." She said softly, pulling the warm leather tighter around her. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. She was stunned at first but them gratefully excepted the comfort.
   "Come on." He whispered. They ran to his car and jumped in. Emma giggled softly and looked over at him. As they drove Emma reached out and turned the radio on. She searched the stations and landed on the local rock stations.
   "You like this kind of music?" He asked, eyebrow raised. She smiled and nodded.
   "Yup." She said. Humming along to the song that filled the car. Emma pulled her hair out of the tight ponytail and sighed. Emma sang along softly, making Kurtz smiled. He didn't judge her for being a River Vixen. He didn't even ask, which Emma was thankful for.
   He pulled up to the drive in and Emma jumped out and unlocked the gate. She hopped back in the car and they drove in. She dragged him into the projector room and she put a movie in. They watched from the projector room. Kurtz had left and Emma had fallen asleep all before Jughead got back. He walked into the projector room and smiled at the sight of his sister. He needed to make things better. For her.
Opinion on anti Betty stuff?
I am not sure if there is anything specifically you mean by anti betty stuff as I honestly haven't been in the Riverdale fandom much recently, I am a little behind on the episodes. The last one I watched was 6x01. I will say that I am not going to tell anyone that they aren't allowed to dislike a character but if they are posting anti betty stuff then I hope they are tagging it properly.
Most of the anti Betty posts I've seen have been centred around the love triangle between her, archie and jughead or her mental health. A lot of it I disagree with. I saw some putting the blame for the voicemail on betty and saying that she should have known that there was something wrong with Jughead and that she shouldn't have been hurt by it, some said that what jughead said about her was true. Here's the thing though, her cheating was wrong obviously and this clearly deeply effected jughead. But she was also a young teen and everyone makes mistakes. She clearly felt very guilty about it and didn't want to hurt Jughead or Veronica. Also she is allowed to feel hurt about the things he said, she's still a person with feelings. I also think its unfair to say that she should have known Jughead was in trouble. They might have been talking on the phone but they had different lives in different places its hard to get a good grasp on what is going on in someone's life just from telephone calls now and again, somehow I don't think he was telling her all about the drugs and alcohol he was drinking. Also saying Betty should have known that he was in trouble is too much like saying its Betty's responsibility to save Jughead from himself.
The other thing I saw some saying that I didn't agree with is in relation to her and Archie. Some were saying she was wrong for hooking up with Archie after the time jump after she cheated on Jughead with him. But again that was seven years ago and Jughead had moved on, Veronica was married. Neither Archie nor Betty needed to explain themselves to Veronica or Jughead. They are all adults now and they've grown and moved on, the past is in the past. But the other anti betty thing I saw in relation to Archie was people were saying that she shouldn't have been laughing and smiling with Archie in the finale when her sister had just died, that she had got over it too quickly. Here's the thing though sometimes when you are grieving you need to be around people who can make you smile and laugh. The day my grandfather died I went over to my friends house and saw her and her little girl. During the day I was obviously really upset and there were times when I cried. But there were also times when I smiled because the baby did something cute or because my friend said something funny. That didn't mean I didn't miss my grandfather or that I wasn't grieving anymore it just meant that I was able to find comfort in my friend, in my loved ones. It's the same with Betty just because she is able to laugh and be happy when she is with Archie doesn't mean she loved her sister any less or that she has gotten over Polly's death it just means that Archie is able to give her that comfort that she needs.
Anyway I don't know if I have answered your ask the way you wanted me too as I don't know if there is more recent anti betty stuff going around. Feel free to let me know if there is or if there is something more specific you wanted to talk about.
Hello! I've been following your bughead AO3 stories, and I love them! Could I request a Jughead fic? In the show he seems constantly exhausted, like he doesn't sleep well, he spends all his time at Pop's, and he's totally shameless about asking for/straight up taking other people's food. He also seems like he has little regard for his own personal safety. Could you write a fic where he has a difficult home life that reaches a breaking point, and Betty sneaks him into her house to look after him?
Man how right you were. Since we now know that Juggie is homeless, I wrote this one as if it were after the last episode.
“Jughead?” Betty was half asleep when she answered the phone, but even then she was concerned as to why he was calling. Jughead barely ever used his phone even to text, so what reason could he have to be calling now?
“Hey Betts…”Jughead sounded reserved, sheepish even.
“What’s wrong?” Betty sat up straight in her bed, not liking how off he sounded.
“Don’t worry…It’s nothing really.”
“Juggie, there is something going on. Tell me” Betty was on her feet now and the only thing that kept her from shouting the words was the thought of her parents asleep down the hall.
“Can I…” Jughead sighed on the other end of the phone. “Can I crash at your place tonight?”
“Absolutely” Betty said without hesitation. She would find out the details later, if Jughead needed someplace to sleep, she was going to give him one, no matter the reason. “There’s a garden trellis that you can use to climb into my room. Polly used to use it to sneak out at night, mom never figured it out because she never imagined Polly would come through my room.”
“Okay” came the small reply. Betty hung up the phone and turned on the light by her window. Then she opened the window and leaned out. She could just make up Jughead down below, illuminated by the street lamp. A sense of dread filled Betty as she saw the huge pack that was on his back. Jughead smiled and waved up at her when he saw her, Betty waved back but was unable to return the smile. Jughead nimbly started climbing the trellis. When he reached the top he handed his backpack up to Betty who marveled at the heaviness of it. Jughead pulled himself through the window and shut it behind him.
“Here” Betty handed him back his pack, which looked like it had most of his belongings inside.
“Thanks Betty.” Jughead regarded her seriously, probably wary of her questions. But Betty simply looked back, inviting him to share as much information as he wanted. She knew how tight lipped Jughead could be, she would never be able to force information out of him.
“You can sleep in Polly’s bed if you want.” Betty said after a few minutes of silence. Jughead dropped his backpack and sat on her bed, still not saying anything. Betty sat on her bed and scooted so her back was against the headboard. Jughead sat with his head bent low, picking at his fingers. After a little while he looked up and met her gaze.
“Can I just stay with you? I’ll sleep on the floor” His tone was soft but his eyes pleaded with her.
“You don’t have to sleep on the floor Juggie.” Betty said with an eye roll, patting the bed next to her. Jughead gave her a small, kicked off his boots, and sat back next to her. He took a deep breath and finally started to tell her what happened.
“Remember when my parents split, and I chose to stay with my dad instead of my mom and Jellybean because they were leaving Riverdale?”
“Of course I remember.” It had been the only time she had seen Jughead cry. First finding out that his parents were getting a divorce, then finding out that his mom was leaving town and that Jellybean had chosen to go with her. “I remember how impossible that decision was for you” Betty put her hand on his arm.
“It was hard, but Riverdale had you and Archie, plus I worshipped my dad, and Riverdale was my home.” Jughead turned to look at her and Betty was shocked to see a tear slip down his face. She immediately reached up and brushed it away.
“Juggie, you don’t have to tell me anything that you don’t want to.”
“I know” Jughead leaned slightly into her hand, which was still resting on his cheek. “I want to tell you. I’ve…I’ve been keeping something from you…from everyone for a long time. I think I was just too stubborn and proud and ashamed to tell the truth. But I can’t keep running from it.”
“Juggie, whatever it is, you can tell me.” Betty sat up straighter and turned to face him, sitting crisscross. Jughead was scaring her, but she was determined not to let it show.
“Okay…So, I lived with my dad happily for three and a half years. Then I found out the main reason my mom had left both my dad and Riverdale. Betts…my dad is a part of the South Side Serpents.” Jughead bite his lip as he looked at her intently. Betty couldn’t help but give a little gasp of surprise.
“You’re dad’s a part of that biker gang?” She asked incredulously.
“Yeah, when Archie’s dad fired him, he claimed to have gotten a new job, but he was being really vague about the whole thing. So one day I followed him and watched him spend the entire day drinking with the gang. When he came home that night I confronted him about it, he told me everything. He said that he had been part of the gang since high school, but back then it was more for fun and less violent. As the years passed the gang grew increasingly more volatile. Apparently my mom wanted him to leave but he felt too much commitment to his old buddies. My dad chose his gang over our family.” Jughead scoffed in disgust. Betty reached out and took his hand, needing to comfort him in some way. She knew that no words would be enough. Jughead gave her a small smile and gripped her hand back tightly. “I tried to live with it, I tried to pretend that I didn’t care, but knowing where he went each day and knowing that he cared more about the gang than me was driving me crazy…so…about a year ago I moved out.” Jughead said the last part quickly as if that would take away some of the shock. It didn’t. Betty probably would’ve fallen off the bed if Jughead didn’t have her hand in a death grip. He was holding her hand like he thought this information would make her want to run away.
“A year?” Betty said slowly, attempting to process the information. “You moved out a year ago…where have you been living?
“Well at first I slept in my tree house, but eventually the weather got too cold for that. Then, I realized that I was the only person who really ever went into the film booth at my job at the drive in. So I moved in there. I told my boss that the cot was for times when we had double features until the early hours in the morning, so I could just sleep there instead of going all the way home at 3am.”
“Jughead…” Betty shook her head.
“No, no, no” Jughead released her hand and launched himself off the bed. He stood over her with an angry expression. “Don’t you feel sorry for me. It was my choice and actually the drive in was a nice little home. But that look of pity you are giving me right now, that is exactly why I didn’t want to tell any of you!”
“Shhhh Juggie, my parents” Betty whispered in alarm when his voice raised in volume. “I’m sorry, come back and sit down.” Jughead sighed, but returned to his spot next to her. Betty cupped his face in her hands, wanting to make sure that he understood what she was going to say next. “The look I was giving you wasn’t pity, it was empathy. It was me feeling pain knowing that my best friend is going through something awful, and had been going through it and I never knew. I’m upset you didn’t tell me, or anyone and I hate that you went through it alone, but I don’t pity you. You are too strong of a person for me to ever pity you.” Betty said her piece and went to move her hands away, but Jughead reached his hands up and lay them over hers.
“I’m sorry, that was an overreaction…it’s a touchy subject.”
“I can see that” Betty teased with a small laugh, earning a smile from Jughead
“Thank you Betts, thank you for being here for me.” Jughead grew serious again
“We’ll figure this out Juggie. I know Mr. Andrews and Archie would not want you to be homeless. Or maybe Ronnie could get her mom to hook you up with a room. We’re your friends, we are here to help.” Betty stroked his cheek with her thumb.
“Betty, I don’t know…”
“You can stay here for as many nights as you need, but you need to tell them Jughead. This isn’t a permanent solution and my mom will kill both of us if she ever finds out. I will help you tell them and we can wait until you are ready, but we do need to tell them. You know that right?” Betty said gently but firmly. Jughead sighed and closed his eyes, still holding her hands against his cheeks.
“Yes, I know. I didn’t even think about the situation I was putting you in by coming here. I just knew that you were the one I wanted to go to. I feel safe with you Betty, but maybe I shouldn’t stay. I don’t want to be the reason you get into trouble with your mom.” Jughead moved to release her hands and stand up, but Betty grabbed his hands and held fast.
“Then I guess we’ll just have to be really sneaky.” She whispered with a wink. Jughead looked down at their joined hands and then up into her eyes.
“Are you sure?”
“Absolutely, now change into your pjs and let’s go to sleep.” Betty said, pointing to the closet. Jughead dug around in his backpack, pulling out sweatpants and a tshirt and headed into the closet to change. Betty switched off the light and climbed into bed. Shortly after she heard Jughead exit and get into bed next to her. There was a slightly awkward moment where they both lay on their backs, not touching, and barely breathing. Betty knew that Jughead had absolutely no idea how to act in a situation like this. She decided that it would be a whole less awkward if they were cuddling. She hated the weird trying not to touch each other thing that was going on. So Betty rolled over on her side and threw her arm over Jughead’s stomach, cuddling up to his side. Jughead made a surprised noise, but she felt both of his arms go around her.
“Night Juggie” Betty whispered, settling her head on his chest.
“Goodnight Betty Cooper” Jughead’s body rumbled at the words.
With a contented sigh, both closed their eyes and pushed away all of their troubles. Those were problems for the morning, but for right now, they both were going to enjoy the present.
I've been meaning to talk about this
Well damn I'm in a bus and put the word this as tho or meh mate. But I've been nervous to talk about this cause I'm worried my followers would hate me for this so I've been a bit too man lol foo almost left fop just typos man lol. I like Riverdale I like it a lot. That tv show on The CW that's based upon Archie Comics. I seriously like the show a lot. Mainly at first seeing this just I'm not the biggest fan of Archie yet liked Archie's Weird Mysteries a lot. Also the comics seem pretty good. I've been wanting to give this show a try. At first I felt mixed but over time I liked it. Also the fact I missed the first episode oh new message mate lol but thought I didn't have the channel but did and saw the 2nd episode first then first episode. Seriously it's a show I'm interested. It makes me laugh, I gasp and shocked by the twists and other things mate. Their are things I have problems with. Such as I need to see Black Nerd Comedy's video haven't seen the last three maybe mate lol. It's a show I like. Also just will say my favorite characters and okay not in order mate. But mainly Jughead, Betty, Archie, Veronica, and Kevin okay maybe in a order but like them a lot oh yeah Linkin Park's, "Numb" is playing in the bus mate. Also gonna get off soon lol gonna chill bro. Seriously those five I love a lot. Also some others and okay almost left most and play just chill bro. Honestly I'm glad the fandom agrees the thing with Grundy was stupid even if....I've had mixed emotions but I legit compared that shit to how disgusting and wrong it is well compared it to the disgusting shit which is Loudcest where fans legit ship siblings. Well spelled legit and I'm on a new bus cause the other seems to be taking a break. Luckily it's a bus driver I know mate. But yeah the thing with Grundy well I'm not gonna a spoil man but was gross and not needed I think. It felt like unnecessary drama and I remember not mentioning the show but actually asked my friend at school of is that wrong cause well Archie is 17 and Grundy is an adult. He said it's wrong and unless their an adult just lol....it's still bad. Also the whole dark thing of Archie got me to think of the whole joke if Loud House just got some dark reboot thing called Royal Woods and lol I'm thinking just no mate...just.....seriously their are ideas yet just ......dang it man almost left the word sang instead of dang. Just control self. Think I'll put almost left out just control self sorry autism but I wanted to reveal this. Luckily this bus I'm on is on break too. Yet yeah overtime I've started to like the show more. I have some problems with it such as some characters or that's just me. Seriously I seem different when watching the show like being like oh my God when something is revealed and....do not know I wanna compare it to a fan girl but I'm a boy and phone turned fan girl into Daniel and boy into bit. Yeah I'm typing this on my phone and bus was slowly going but stopped a bit for people. Now it's going. Well got my left elbow to pull the string to stop at the next stop which is ahead of us lol. But yeah I wanted to share that including I follow the tag and well gonna get off now mate lol Well off.....just standing in the sun think ill just post this and just do my lol do....sorry I'll stop things on my mind and kind of nervous man....I'm nervous well put tag down. I just wanted to share that and can't see this well can see it but the sun......I'm nervous about this um
