1. How long ago did you start reading fanfiction? Writing fanfiction?

The first fanfiction i read was for The Lunar Chronicles when I was like 11?? and it was 100% on accident and it scarred me because it was a hardcore porn one with a period kink and i was like WHAT IS THIS??? OH MY GOD???? LMAOOOOO i didn’t pick it back up until i was 13-14 and really got into the Fairy Tail fandom. I still reread my favorites on ff.net cause i love them.

As for writing, I wrote a horrible, terrible x-men fanfiction when I was twelve. (my friend still brings it up and REFUSES to delete it so it still gets comments and views, that shit HAUNTS ME ELE.) then tried again for Fairy Tail, posted like two chapters before taking it down cause i wasn’t really feeling it. And then I posted The Intimacy Of Being Understood and here we are.

5. What are your fanfic pet peeves? Do they have a huge effect on whether or not you decide to read something?

Omniscient third person. I don’t like it. Like I can understand that it can be a little hard to stay in one person’s perspective but, in my opinion, if you can, it shows how disciplined you are as a writer. Plus, i just get so confused when I go from A’s thoughts to suddenly what B is thinking about A.

When writers use ‘ ‘ instead of “ “. When writers put thoughts in ‘ ‘ instead of just italicizing them. It’s small things but like they just bother me sO MUCH. most of the time i can ignore it and try to enjoy but other times i just dip.

9. Tag 3 fic writers you think are underrated/unknown in the fandom/fanfiction community.

@espoir-et-reves !!!!! THEIR SHISAKU FICS ARE SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. And they have a warring states one going on THAT I AM SO OBSESSED WITH.

@writer168 idk if they’re really “underrated” but THEY HAVE SUCH GREAT FICS ON AO3. Like theres an AU with sakura, kiba, and shino that i reread constantly because it just. is. so. fucking. GOOD. and they posted a new one that i’m YELLING about.

@eggtoasties okay they only have 2 in the naruto fandom (one shisaku which is still ongoing) BUT THEIR WRITING STYLE IS SO NICE?? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I still go back and reread their shikasaku one cause UGH i can’t get enough. I love it.

10. What’s your favorite fandom, pairing, or character to read fic for?

Fandoms: Naruto, Soul Eater, The Old Guard, ATLA

Parings: KakaSaku/ShikaSaku/ShiSaku/MultiSaku, SoMa, Joe X Nicky, Zukka

Character: SAKURA. I will read anything with Sakura as the main character and her being a fuckin badass or becoming a badass. I love her.

17. How obsessively do you sit and stare at your fic after you’ve just posted and wait for feedback?

aha.. haha.. well. I check my email like three times an hour. its the first thing i check in the mornings too. I’m literally a whore for praise and literally eat up feedback like its going out of style. I also reread a lot of my stuff because i make so many mistakes and spelling errors, or the spacing is weird oR SOMETHING. plus, literally any and all comments make my day, i go back and reread them cause they just make me feel so tingly and warm like “wow. this person enjoyed the fic/my writing enough to tell me. thats HUGE!”

23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write?

Angry, feral, bloodied, morally gray women. They aren’t bad guys, they’re probably the good guy, but that doesn’t mean they cant be fucking raging at the world with raw knuckles and blood on their teeth. I just love an angry woman who struggles with her emotions and just has so much inner conflict but that doesn’t take away from her character or badassery, it adds to it.

24. What’s a trope that you’d like to never hear about as long as you live, let alone write?

The fake dating or miscommunication troupe. LIKE GUYS JUST TALK. AND TELL EACH OTHER OMFG. the entire like obliviousness of “nah they dont like me” while the They holds their hand and kisses their cheek. MOFO WHAT. it makes me so impatient and like mad HAAHHAHA. its probably because i’m a pretty confrontational person so seeing stuff like that just “cmon bro, USE YO HEAD.”

28. How do you deal with writing pressure (ie: pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc)?

I have yet to receive a negative comment! Which i was really surprised about tbh. As for deadlines or pressure to update, i just kind of do whatever. I do set goals, but i set them flexible enough that hey, if i can’t do it, that’s okay.

I have a lot of mini goals, like “i want to write this chapter and get it done this week” and then the large goal is “FINISH BY END OF MAY” so i have time.

Actually, now that I think on it, the entire pressure to update thing is probably why i’m waiting until I have all of OL&W written to post it weekly,, cause well. I wouldn’t wanna leave you guys waiting as I tried to write and work out the next chapters and stuff, you know?

30. Post a snippet from your current WIP without context - no more than 300 words.

34. How much of yourself and your life experiences do you put into your writing? What do you think your readers’ image of you is?

None of my experiences match up to anything I write tbh,,, probably the only thing that is me in my writing is maybe the emotional turmoil? I’m pretty emotionally and mentally mature because from a pretty young age i started forming my own opinions, started looking into the world around us and being like “dude what the fuck this is not what disney advertised”. Then i started talking (read: arguing and debating) with my dad about a lot of it. So, like emotions are kind of hard for me. Like i’m pretty good at controlling them or understanding them, but still. idk its hard to explain ig.

Like the weight of stress, the anger, the sadness. It’s kind of therapeutic to write. Cause i don’t know how to put those feelings to verbal words so writing them really helps.

As for my readers’ image? Probably like some kind of hunched over figure typing away in the dark with a maniacal grin on their face. I honestly don’t know AHHAHAHA but it is fun to think about. I think they’d see me as someone with potential but a lot of room to grow and someone who is imperfect but in a charming way LMAOOOO

38. What does your writing process look like? How chaotic is it on a scale of 1 (very tame) to 10 (you can’t handle this kind of chaos)?

I’m gonna be real honest. Its probably like a 2. I’m a bit of a control freak so I almost always go in chronological order, my writing is pretty linear. Unless, i get bored and jump to one of my fav parts. It's pretty much i sit down, i open the doc, read over my notes and just start writing.

It’s a little boring to explain AHAHAHA but once i get into the groove of things its really fucking great, I can like feel myself in the world, I can feel what i want the characters to, i love it. I catch myself mouthing the words as i type too, which i find hilarious.

39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

I rather like how raw my writing is sometimes. Which might sound really vain, but i do like the way i word things or describe things. I love juxtaposition and repetition, or making a good ole circle back to some minute detail that wouldn’t stand out until i repeat it at the end and you’re like “omg” AHAHAHAHA.

Like those little poetic snippets or certain wording i just sit back and go “damn thats kinda good nadia! go you!’ HAHAHA

40. How did you come up with the idea for The Intimacy Of Being Understood?

AAAAA this fic is like my first child, my pride and joy LMAO

so the idea initially came when i was reading some fic, idk if it was even naruto, but i was like “i don't like this, but i do like the rain symbolism.” And I knew i wanted to write something kind of slow paced, something a little sad and angsty, but would show KakaSaku slowly but surely falling in love.

Idk if you’ve noticed but a lot of my fics, the pairings don’t change each other dramatically. They accept each other as they are and then they grow with together. Like that acceptance is something i just love writing, its so subtle, it isn’t something you declare. Its simply “I am going to love you. I am going to love you despite your flaws and faults. I am going to love you unconditionally because I know you, I understand you, and there is nothing you could do to drive me away.”

The fic kind of wrote itself after that first scene. I kept going back to the rain, go being ghosts, and resurrection, and the small epiphanies one gets. I wanted to focus on each character’s growth with each other. They didn’t find light in life because of each other, but with each other. And i think that’s my favorite thing about that fic.

I wanted something raw and real and just something beautiful. I’m actually really proud of it tbh. Would i go back and rewrite/edit it? Oh of course! I’d do that with every single one of my fics, but i’m not gonna cause i think its in its rawest form right now. :))))

what are your favorite aspects of BTVS? i’ve been deciding whether or not i should finish it but i can’t decide lol

Honestly, I can’t categorize it like that because I just like BTVS, it’s a good show, it’s a well-written show, it’s a show of details and overarching plots, of emotional arcs and character development. My favourite seasons are seasons 1-3, I prefer High School BTVS but that doesn’t mean that the other seasons are terrible, they’re well-written seasons, some of BTVS’ most original episodes are in season 4. Buffy’s psychology in season 6 is intriguing. Glory is a great villain in season 5.

12 ‘Unpopular’ Viddy Game Opinions

I’ve seen this topic floating around a lot, but didn’t think I had enough ‘unpopular but maybe not’ opinions about games to make a post. Turns out I do! So if you see this and I say something blasphemous, remember it’s just my opinion and my personal experiences with the games I list. Hope you enjoy or hey, maybe even agree with some of this!

Note: Can’t stress enough. This is just me. Also, spoilers under the cut!

12. The opening of Kingdom Hearts II isn’t as terrible as everyone says

Okay, so it’s not brilliant, but at the same time, I don’t think it’s the worst. For those not in the know, KH2′s opening is a basically a massive slog where you play as a character you don’t know or care about with seemingly no real link to the events of the previous game. The general consensus is that there’s some interesting stuff in here, but it’s buried among endless dialogue that really doesn’t mean much. And they’re right, but I really think there’s some great stuff here that people tend to gloss over. The music and the motif of Twilight Town is atmospheric, there’s some genuinely intriguing plot elements that are woven into Roxas’ story and believe it or not, the stuff that happens here is intrinsic to the rest of the game. So yeah, it drags on a little, but I don’t think KH2 would be miles better without this opening.

11. I loved Breath of the Wild’s final boss

One of the problems I see talked about with Breath of the Wild is that the boss fights are fairly mediocre, especially the very last one, Dark Beast Ganon. And I couldn’t disagree more. I think every boss in the game is wonderfully crafted, intense, challenging and great for testing you on what you’ve learned throughout the game by encouraging you to make creative use of your slate powers and the flurry rush technique. And while Mr. Pig Man at the end here is sort of easy and short, it serves as a brilliantly epic finale to damn near perfect game. While the difficulty is mostly gone after the mammoth fight with Calamity Ganon, it’s still just as intense as you frantically fire off arrows into the massive beast in front of you. Plus, the design of this thing is one of the best looking monsters in the game, so I really don’t understand the dislike for this ending.

10. I really like Crash of the Titans

Okay, so maybe childhood nostalgia has something to do with this pick, but every Crash fan I’m aware of seems to hate this game. But I don’t really know where the hate comes from! I played the PS2 version of this and I thought it was a genuinely fun 3D platformer with a variety of locations, good visuals, well-designed boss battles and even a vague story you can sort of follow! The game’s main gameplay feature is also brilliantly integrated, as using Aku Aku to possess various monsters throughout the game keeps everything interesting. One thing I will say though, that tiger dude you have to fight about halfway through is the most annoying thing I’ve ever had to endure in a game.

9. Life Is Strange: Before the Storm is BAD

I loved Life Is Strange when it first dropped, so I was beyond excited when they announced a prequel from Chloe’s perspective. But I really think they dropped the ball and they dropped it hard. But everyone else seems to adore this game! For me, this wasn’t a touch on the original. For a start, they dropped out one of the main mechanics of the first game, the time travel, which they then replaced with a much less interesting ‘Backtalk’ feature, which was then only used about twice throughout the game. Instead of interesting, developed characters reacting to genuinely dangerous or heartfelt situations, it felt to me like a bunch of one-dimensional teenagers who are edgy for the sake of being edgy. Chloe spends the majority of the game being a dick to her mother and bunking off class to spend time with Rachel, who she has literally known for like a day and their sudden relationship drops out of nowhere. Not that I didn’t enjoy the emotional moments of their relationship, it just didn’t feel like it stemmed from anywhere, unlike Max and Chloe from the first game. And the game’s attempts at villains were also rubbish compared to the first, with Damien (random scary knife guy who doesn’t really tie into the plot that much) and Eliot (who doesn’t appear for the whole game and suddenly goes full incel on Chloe when she breaks into Rachel’s house). Yeah I think you can tell I had some problems with this one.

8. Dishonored: Death of the Outsider was also a hot mess

I LOVE the Dishonored series. The first game and its DLCs are amazing, the second game was arguably even better. And then this happened. In this one, you play as Billie Lurk, a character I love, and Daud comes back, a character I also love. But both of them are incredibly badly written and it doesn’t feel like there’s any development to them or even much reason for them to do what they’re doing. This entry took the mystery surrounding the Outsider and basically did a big poo on it, giving us the revelation that he was apparently HUMAN this whole time. I think that was the nail in the coffin that made me sort of think this was a bit rubbish. While the combat and side missions were as brilliant as ever, the level designs felt less creative than other entries in the series and lacked variety or colour, all the side characters were entirely forgettable and to wrap it all up, they killed Daud offscreen. Out of nowhere, they just killed him, mentioned it offhand in a cutscene and that was that. If you like this game, fair enough, but it kind of baffles me that more people don’t see this in the game.

7. Mario Galaxy 2 is good. It’s just sort of good

Some people cite this as being one of the best 3D platformers of all time, and that’s fair enough, but I just kind of see this one as ‘good’. Sure, it has a good, satisfying control scheme for the most part, the level design is creative and the bosses and puzzles are pretty standard for a Mario title, but still enjoyable. However, sometimes, the floaty physics and weird knockback effect from jumping into walls led to quite a lot of unfair deaths, especially if I’d been punished for messing up already by losing a life, only to then immediately be punished again by falling into the void. Plus, I found Yoshi near impossible to control at some points with the motion controls. So yeah, this one is genuinely enjoyable, but I don’t think I’d personally put it with the best of all time.

6. I LOVE Dragon Quest IX TO DEATH

This is a game in a legendary franchise that consistently almost always see ranked at the very bottom of the pile in the series. But I really don’t understand how or why. Okay so your protagonist and party are basically silent and don’t have a lot of character, but I don’t see this as a reason to totally write off the game! The side characters, villains and story are all amazing and well-developed, the world is huge, colourful and interesting, the monsters are brilliantly creative and Dragon Quest’s signature lame sense of humour is gratefully carried through the whole game. The music is always brilliant and atmospheric and the bosses are just as memorable as each character you meet. What was everyone’s problem?? This is genuinely one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played and if you haven’t had a chance to pick it up, it is so, so worth it.

5. Sonic Adventure is a broken mess

So before I kick this one off, I’m not someone who hates Sonic and I’m not here to slate the whole franchise, but considering this game is often considered to be one of the best in the series, I thought it was definitely worth addressing. When I first played this, I literally couldn’t believe this was made in 1998, AFTER Mario 64 and yet it’s so broken! The physics and control scheme are totally wonky and hard to control, the unending amount of glitches make a fair amount of the stages almost unplayable, the voice acting and facial animation is cringey and oddly broken and yet, this was all on the Dreamcast. The most powerful console of the time. And I don’t think I even need to mention how boring some of the later stages get, with Big the Cat’s fishing section being the main offender. I can’t vouch for Adventure 2 as I haven’t had a chance to play yet, but I really hope it isn’t like this.

4. Dragon Age Origins is the best Dragon Age

Dragon Age has always been a popular RPG series, but I think it properly shot to fame once Inquisition dropped in 2014. And don’t get me wrong, I liked Inquisition! The world was colourful and expansive and the characters were fairly memorable, but I still think the best experience you can get is in the series’ first entry, Origins. While it’s pretty easy to see that it’s slightly dated considering it’s ten years old now, the best characters and story in the series I think is here. Each companion you recruit is varied and developed and the story wraps up brilliantly in the end with each companion and army you meet playing a different role in the final battle. Plus, I kind of can’t forgive Inquisition for making Leliana lose her sense of humour and making her kinda boring.

3. Oblivion is better than Skyrim

Okay so I’m not sure exactly how unpopular this is, but I just thought Oblivion was miles better than Skyrim ended up being. Just to clear it up, I still love Skyrim and I thought it built on the series’ combat system and variety of enemies really well and still provided an enjoyable experience. But Oblivion feels like more of an adventure you feel at home in. The story is dense and full of twists and turns. The soundtrack has some of the most atmospheric music I’ve ever heard, the world is full of bright colours, each city is vastly different and has its own lore and I found some of this to be absent from Skyrim. I’d go into more detail, but I think the simple fact is that Oblivion had so much more I liked than Skyrim.

2. I don’t think The Witcher III is all that amazing (in some regards)

This by no means says that I don’t like the game, because I do, but I think it has more flaws than people let on. Now, don’t get me wrong, a lot of the stuff people praise about this game is true, the quests are in-depth and masterfully crafted, the characters, especially Geralt, are extremely memorable. In fact, Geralt is one of my favourite game protagonists. But most of the problems I had were in terms of the gameplay. The combat, while fast-paced and satisfying, can sometimes feel a little finicky, so a lot of precision is needed. However, I felt that the world itself didn’t particularly interest me and the music is often ambient but outside of combat, isn’t anything special. Mostly though, the leveling system I found to be a bit wonky. I did absolutely everything I could in the first area of the game; all the side quests, treasure hunts, killed a whole bunch of monsters etc. And then I arrive in the second area and find I’m too underleveled to do literally anything. The majority of the quests have too high a level cap, a lot of the monsters kill me very quickly. And because the bulk of EXP farming is in the quests, I’m sort of stuck in an endless loop of constantly not being strong enough to do anything. On top of that, all my equipment keeps breaking and I’m finding that repair kits are extremely few and far between and that makes me even WEAKER. It’s something I’m gonna need to persevere with I think, but hey, this is just my experience with it.

1. Ocarina of Time, as amazing as it is, may have overstayed its welcome as best game of all time

I reckon this might be the most controversial, so it’s number 1. Let me preface this by saying I really like Ocarina and I agree that it was innovative for the RPG genre at the time. There’s a hell of a lot in this game that we have to thank for the games we have today. But considering how far the gaming industry has come since then and the sheer amount of high quality games we’ve been getting year after year, is still fair to call this the best game ever? When more recent games have taken what Ocarina started and built upon it? Games like Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption II, God of War all gave us expansive, beautiful worlds and a story you can really get stuck into. And all the time, more and more games of this caliber are coming out. So yes, of course Ocarina of Time deserves a place in the hall of fame, it was revolutionary and still holds up really well today! I just can’t help but think there have been plenty of games since then, as flawed as some of them may be, that have improved upon the formula tenfold since Ocarina’s release.

2: Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?

finishing something in a timely manner god I dont even know, honestly. Im terrible at thinking of things off the top of my head. like I sat here for… over an hour trying to think of stuff and dumpster diving through tumblr to find inspo for an answer to this and the answer is basically idk fam, Snowed In? i know Ive never written that for any fandom ever. (thats a terrible answer im sorry!)

7: Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

After the moon had climbed another hour into the sky, Geoff slapped his little book onto the grass and started taking down the telescope. Donna felt her heart begin to ache. Her time was up. More than anything, she wanted to stay here; better yet, take him with her. Into the TARDIS with the Doctor and show him everything he’d ever dreamed of.

She wished she could’ve asked him before he died. If she knew that she had taken him, then it wasn’t a paradox, it was time flowing exactly as it was meant to.

And that made it all right, didn’t it?

Heart in her throat, Donna looked up at her father, placed her hand on his arm. He looked down at her, blue eyes open and honest.

And she thought of the Doctor.

He had been so anxious, a tremulous veil of fear in his eyes when he suggested he bring her to her father, quiet voice when he wondered if she was up to it. He was a Time Lord, the guardian of everything temporal. She had seen him battle with himself over whether or not he could step in and change history, and the agony it caused him when he knew that he couldn’t, that he was the cause of tragedy.

Thinking on it, his behaviour today had made it all too clear that this event, seeing her father one last time and settling her own unnecessary insecurities, probably wasn’t meant to happen. And she wasn’t stupid enough to believe that her wanting it could change that.

Donna released a deep, shaking breath and let it go.

This bit is the climax of my Doctor Who fic Fathers and Daughters. The entire story centers on and builds up to this moment: Donna tempted by the innate human desire to save someone she loves, to spend every last second she can with her late father even if it means breaking the laws of time… and then accepting her father’s death and letting him go. Eight years later and I still love this fic and this moment.

8: Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

“I can’t believe you haven’t seen Moana! It came out like, ages ago–”

Karen’s laugh pealed through the office even before Matt reached the door. “Why would I? I don’t have a gaggle of nieces sitting me through kids’ movies on my days off.”

“Excuses!” proclaimed Foggy. "One does not need half-pint girls to enjoy a Disney film, anymore than one needs the full-grown ones to cry through a chick flick. I am a Renaissance man– I enjoy all things.“

The door creaked when Matt pushed through the frame, his hands occupied by his briefcase and cane. "Hey Michelangelo, I thought you were going to WD-40 the hinges?”

Her incredulity hung in the air. "Foggy, are you six?”

“Damn, you caught me. I’m actually two kids stacked on top of each other in a trenchcoat.” Something whipped across the room. A balled-up piece of paper, it sounded like.

“So I’m glad everybody had coffee today,” Matt interjected. "Don’t we have work to do? Or some other… form of adulting?“

"Who called the fun police? Jeez mom, we’ll get right on it.” Foggy was halfway back to his office before he stopped, stuck his head back out the door. "Actually, dude, someone was just by for you. A lady caller.“ Matt could practically hear his eyebrows waggling suggestively.

"Oh– Foggy, that’s gross.”

“What? I happen to find nuns attractive.”

“It was Sister Maggie,” Karen supplied. Of course she’d find Foggy’s comment gross; she knew what he did not. Matt wondered if that counted as a secret. Difficult to bring up. Hey, remember how I didn’t have a mom? Turns out she was the nun who raised me in the orphanage…

I would not say I am good at it. So if I read it back and feel like its in character and natural, I am a happy Tea. This is one of those scenes.

modern marauders: theatre AU part 1

hey guys I felt inspired after listening to the entire Dear Evan Hansen soundtrack so here is a “brief” headcanon on the marauders and theatre:

james has been talking about auditioning for the next production for a while. it may or may not be because lily evans is stage director. the other marauders laugh but still encourage him to go for it, sure he’ll fail and/or embarrass himself.

james picks up a script from the director and practices in their dorm at all times of the day. after hearing the script three times, sirius starts quoting it, and has learnt more than james.

sirius starts teasing james that he’ll go against him for the lead. after standing on the gryffindor table in the great hall and belting the lyrics to the audition song to everyone at breakfast (and surprisingly getting a lot of compliments for it), he decides to audition

tensions run high as both sirius and james start practicing. to spite james, sirius asks lily to run lines with him. james retalliates by telling the director sirius wants to be the love interest of the lead. Peter asks lily if he can join the stage crew.

on audition day, both james and sirius audition for the lead role. they havent spoken in a week. lily sits with the director and judges them. she smiles when sirius walks on stage, knowing how hard he’s worked. james is furious, scowling as he watches sirius butcher the audition song

they both stomp out of the theatre, refusing to speak. the cast list is posted two days later, and they both race to find out who got the role. both of them physically deflate when they see the name.

REMUS?! they both scream. remus walks down the hall calmly, just checking if he actually got the role

he’s very startled when he sees he’s got the lead

James and sirius demand answers, and finally speak to one another again (that is before james points out sirius got the lead as remus’ love interest) sirius sputters and gasps; he didn’t even audition for that role!

he's very confused, before he sees that james’ name isn’t even on the list, his audition did not go well; he forgot his lines and is not a good singer at the best of times

instead, james’ name is flagged as “lighting and tech, to report to Lily Evans”

james is more rapt with that than he would have been if he’d been given the lead

during practices, james mucks around with the lights, mostly on purpose, partly because he has no idea what he’s doing, just so evans can go over the lights AGAIN

Pete is mostly unseen during rehearsals, but he is heard, as he keeps dropping props and bumping into sets

they all hear remus’ voice for the first time, and realise he was probably a better lead than either james or sirius, but sirius would never admit it

lily hangs out in the lighting box most of the time, because that’s the only place severus can’t find her and ask her a million more questions about his sets and costumes

james loves it, he jokes and makes her laugh, until he misses his queue and she doesnt talk to him for half an hour so he can focus

sirius, at first, refuses to play the love interest the way its written, swaggering around the stage and saying things like “this is ridiculous” after all of his lines

after a few practices, he gets really into it, and doesnt even need his script, he’s spent most of his afternoons memorising all of his lines and stage directions

one practice, james is not needed with the lights, because they’re just doing a props and set run-through with the full cast, so lily asks if she can practice some of the makeup on him. james, of course, says yes.

she blabbers on about running the production, and how the director does NOTHING except auditions, and just sits there while lily does everything else, and how the hair and makeup girls were absent and barely ever showed up, and how she had to practically beg Marlene to help out on the night (the agreement was; she wouldn't have to attend any rehearsals other than the dress rehearsal, and of course, the nights of the performance)

all james can think about is how close she is to him, after a pause, lily, as if for the first time, notices how sharp potter’s jawline actually is and for a while, thats all she can think about

“thinking about me evans?” james does one of those little half-smiles that bothered lily, but she still thought it was kind of cute

“always” lily rolled her eyes, her tone dripping sarcasm. she stepped back, biting the inside of her cheek to stop a smile creeping up on her face, “I think I’m done.”

“finally” james lets his head roll back against the edge of the chair, messing up his hair, and then stands up to grab the mirror. at this point, lily lets out a laugh, and james furiously turns around “YOU TURNED ME INTO A FISH?!”

lily grins, “a very CUTE fish, you’re Flounder!” she's very proud of herself, the fact that james could even tell he was a fish was a good sign.

“WE’RE NOT EVEN DOING THE LITTLE MERMAID!” he starts to rub furiously at his face, trying to get the makeup off, but ends up looking like he's just been beaten in a fist fight. lily can barely contain her laughter, “aw potter come on, that took ages!!”

later that week, after a six hour rehearsal, the director asks james to change the lighting filters on the stage, even though he could have done it during the rehearsal

sirius and remus are laughing about the kissing scene next week, it hasn’t quite dawned on them that THEYRE actually the ones kissing

Pete is frantically trying to find the lighting filters, even though he already gave them to james, and then leaves after being told by lily that he was stressing her out

in the lighting and sound booth, lily is going through the script again, marking areas they need to go over and adding stage directions. she hums the duet that remus and sirius had been singing earlier as she does it

james, who is balancing on a ladder on the stage, nearly jumps out of his skin as he hears the humming come through the speakers around the theatre, the microphone in the booth catching every note of lily’s singing

he smiles but continues changing the light filters, not being able to stop himself from singing the other part of the duet

soon, he’s screaming the lyrics as loud as he can to try and drown out some of lily’s off key humming and she’s laughing in the booth as he screws up his face, his glasses balancing on the tip of his nose as he tries to block his ears with one hand and adjust the stage lights with the other

“now I can see why you’re on stage crew” lily smirks, talking through the mic, “you’re a terrible singer”

“a terrible singer, maybe, but even I can detect how off key your humming was, evans” potter yells back, sticking his tongue out and momentarily losing his balance

A conversation with kitsunecutie/flowerpriestess

so, if you havent seen it, i wrote a call-out about kitsunecutie/flowerpriestess, who is sometimes better known as starblastingfuse or airipom, who had multiple call-outs written under each name. heres a link to the post that i wrote, if it gives you any indication as to what i talked to her about

context behind this: kitsunecutie never messaged me, but i saw her messaging people who had linked to my callout asking them to take it down and stop spreading lies. (one, two)

as the person who wrote the original post, i got annoyed that she wouldnt just message me, so i confronted her. and was immediately called racist.

putting this under a read-more because it’s a shit-ton of screenshots. if you dont want to read the screen caps and my commentary, here’s a pastebin where you can read the entire exchange. whether youre reading the pastebin or the caps i have, i have omitted nothing. this conversation started monday at about 9 pm.

for the record, i never did call her white. i did state that i dont believe shes japanese, though, given the evidence i presented in my original post, as well as the call-outs others made about her. i told her this.

i dont know how being a trans girl means that you’re allowed to fetishize an entire race, but maybe someone can enlighten me.

also, for the record, some friends were using my laptop at the time to watch a movie, so i was using my phone to type things out to her. i dont know if capitalization+spelling+grammar was what she meant by ‘typing like an anti-sjw’, but like most phones mine automatically corrects for punctuation and the like.

i also still dont know why my typing style was relevant.

as a note, while i do care if she’s faking her race, it’s at the bottom of my list of concerns next to the fact that she sexually abused minors and told people that seeing black people made her feel as if she was going to be hit.

i dont know why the fuck she would be yelled out by an abuser if she owned up to her fucking actions. she also backpeddles this later.

yep. the people she abused are irrelevant.

the screenshots are in the original call-out post. i was curious about this ‘context’ i was missing.

so basically, the context was that someone had accused her (/an alter) of pedophilia.

i honestly dont know how she didn’t know where i was going, given that i made it clear that the best thing for her to do would be to apologize and acknowledge her actions.

i suspected that this ‘abuse’ was her getting called out for her actions.

more hiding behind alters to try to excuse her behaviors

turns out, i was right. she got called out and apparently lost friends because she was outed as a pedophile and told repeatedly to own up for her actions and apologize. she considers this abuse.

i thought she couldn’t apologize because she had an abuser who would get after her if she did?

so, she can’t apologize because she feels that apologies are fake. it doesnt matter that she wronged and abused people.

i was pretty shocked by this, given that i told her repeatedly that it was her victims that she hurt. i was pretty pissed at this point.

because me telling her victims that she’s sorry is really going to make things better for her. ok.

this started feeling like talking to a brick wall. i was very frustrated.

at this point, she ignored me. i let it go on for an hour.

another completely different excuse from the other two she already gave. but hey, it was something to work with, maybe.

this frustrated me again, because it felt very selfish. she’d sexually abused people and said some incredibly racist things, and she wasnt willing to even try because she would have a panic attack. im not downplaying panic attacks, because they are terrible, but this is someone who forced minors into sexual situations and then didnt even acknowledge that they were at fault.

again, was pretty surprised by this. i was happy that she was willing to apologize.

i was, indeed, wrong about this. the person in question was not a minor.

regardless, i still didnt blame them for being upset with her.

i make my intentions clear:

this was the end of the conversation until today. today, she messaged me in the morning with a couple new pieces of information

so, she was dating a minor when she was an adult. im unsure if this has been confirmed before, but there it is.

(as a note, im also schizophrenic. that may be what shes referring to in that last message)

she sort of dodged my question about her partner’s age, but it sounds like the age gap was rather large.

that was the end of our conversation for now. so, there is confirmation that she dated a minor while she was an adult and roleplayed sexual fantasies with her. she hasnt written out any apologies yet, but ill be keeping a lookout for that, too.

so, i went onto the website with the annoying singing fat man, got a reasonable quote for my classic car, declared all cars in my household, one of which is a company car with 2 years NCB. Paid the deposit and remainder was to be paid monthly by direct debit. After a couple of weeks now they've written to me wanting proof of the NCB I stated, wanting details of the previous insurance and policy number. So, I email them (as they stated in the letter that this would be the quickest way to resolve and avoid having my policy cancelled) saying the NCB was on company insurance rather than another private insurance which i think they assume I have (the option on NCB on the website included NCB on company cars), no response to my email, so I send another, now I've had a red coloured letter threatening cancellation of my insurance unless I provide the information. Literacy surveys suggest one in five American adults is functionally illiterate. And taxpayers keep shelling out money to fund the system. Americans also cherish the right to retire but we expect to be supported in our old age. Younger workers and employers are forced to support retirees, funding another right.
